| Waka Flocka Flame (real name Juaquin James Malphurs, born May 31, 1986) is an American rapper from Atlanta. He is a well known associate of Gucci Mane, owing to them once having been the two leading rappers off the 1017 Brick Squad label, (although [[RageAgainstTheMentor they are currently feuding]]). Waka is well known for his sledgehammer delivery and foul language. He has released two full albums to date: ''Flockaveli'' and [[LighterAndSofter "Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family"]]. The four singles from his first album were "O Let's do it", [[SignatureSong "Hard in da Paint"]], "No Hands", and "Grove St. Party". Triple F yielded the singles "Round of Applause", "I Don't Really Care", and "Get Low". |

| !Waka provides examples of: |
| * AlbumTitleDrop: From the song "Bustin' at 'em": "[[WordSaladLyrics Grow a sumo on my face]], call me Flockaveli" |
| * BattleCry: "Everywhere I go I'm yelling BRIIIICKSQUUAAAD loud as shit" |
| ** And he does tend to yell it on as many songs as possible |
| * ClusterFBomb: Waka is a very big fan of this (even by rap standards). Listening to the 'clean' version of "Hard in the Paint" is almost like listening to an instrumental. |
| * DeepSouth: The song "Candy Paint & Gold Teeth" is a tribute to the South and features fellow southern rappers Ludacris and Bun B. |
| * FoodSongsAreFunny: However "Candy Paint & Gold Teeth" also is full of food references including the chorus ending in "Soul food [[MemeticMutation DINNERS DINNERS DINNERS DINNERS]]" |
| * DodgeTheBullet: In the video for "Bustin' at em" Waka does this with ease. |
| * DramaticGunCock: Used as a sound effect in a lot of his songs, often indicating the start of a verse |
| * FakeLoud: The chorus to "Ballin Out" |
| * GangBangers: Waka is a Blood, with good relations to other gangs. |
| -->Keep this shit 300, put that shit on my hood (Flocka)\ |
| Crips fucking with me, G's and the Vice Lords (Brrrrrrr) |
| * GrievousBottleyHarm: In the video for MGK's "Wild Boy" Waka replies to a host asking what he does for a living with a champagne bottle to the head. |
| * HarshVocals: Sometimes Flocka's adlibs can get very very rough. One of special note is the "SQUAAAAD" after the first verse of Rooster in my Rari, which sounds like a dying hellbeast |
| * LargeHam: Anytime he yells '''FLOCKA!''' or '''BRICKKKKK SQUAAAAADDDDD!''' or practially everything else he ever says. |
| * LyricalColdOpen: "Fuck the Club Up" |
| * LyricalTic: Many of his songs will feature a lot of flockas, a lot of wakas, and a lot of bricksquads |
| ** {{Scatting}}: Sometimes can result in this |
| * MurderBallad: It would be easier to list the songs of his which weren't these. He seems to enjoy killing people, or at least pretending to kill people. |
| * NWordPrivileges |
| * OdeToIntoxication: "Grove St. Party" and "Smoke, Drank" most prominently |
| * PerpetualFrowner: From the chorus of "Luv Dem Gun Sounds": [[TheStoic I don't talk, I don't laugh, I just frown.]] |
| * RageAgainstTheMentor: Suddenly got into a feud with his mentor Gucci Mane in 2013. |
| * RhymingWithItself: Many a youtube comment has pointed out Waka's ability to rhyme the n-word with itself. |
| * SelfBackingVocalist: In most of his songs, even if he has a featured artist to back him up. |
| * StuffyOldSongsAboutTheButtocks: "Round of Applause" is not about the clapping of hands... |
| * SomethingSomethingLeonardBernstein: The song Ballin Out has a section that goes a little like something something like your bruh for a few lines |
| * SongParody: [[http://youtu.be/qv9VDSIm_Oo This]] parody of Hard in da Paint caused a large amount of people who don't regularly listen to rap music to learn of Waka |
| * SopranoAndGravel: Mostly done in singles to achieve a more mainstream R&B sounding hook |
| * TattooedCrook: among the most inked in the rap game, including a large MOB [[note]]Member Of Bloods[[/note]] on his chest. |
| * {{Trap Music}}: one of the most succesful and visible examples of the genres along with his mentor Music/GucciMane. |
