The relationship between the Shield and the Authoritys was severed, leading the Shield to [[HeelFaceTurn turn face]], pound the [[Wrestling/DGenerationX New Age Outlaws]] back into retirement at ''Wrestling/{{Wrestlemania}}'' XXX, and directly cost Triple H the championship the next night on RAW. Triple H's only remaining in-ring hands were himself, Wrestling/RandyOrton, and a bunch of lower-card {{Mooks}} that had little to no investment in Trips's personal vendettas. Triple H had to [[Wrestling/{{Evolution}} take]] [[Wrestling/{{Batista}} drastic]] [[PuttingTheBandBackTogether measures]] in a last-ditch effort to keep any semblance of in-ring presence (or at least whatever's left of it), and even ''that'' didn't work quite as planned.
