''Revenge of the Rainbow Dragons'' is the sixth book in the ''Literature/EndlessQuest'' {{Gamebook}} series, and the sequel to an earlier book, ''Literature/PillarsOfPentegarn''.

Jaimie's been adopted by Pentegarn from the last book and is now a sorcerer's apprentice. Some other wizards claim dominion over his territory, and he goes to settle the matter with them. While the adults are busy, Jaimie and his animal sidekicks are shunted off on an adventure of their own, possibly encountering the rainbow dragons who once ruled the kingdom.

Probably most notable to a modern audience for how it was the subject of a series of Website/YouTube videos by WebVideo/ProJared for his D&December segments, who let his followers vote on what they should do at each juncture.

!!''Revenge of the Rainbow Dragons'' provides examples of:

* AnimatedArmor: One hazard in the wizards' castle is a room full of empty, but very lively, suits of armor.
* TheApprentice: Jaimie's started learning magic under Pentegarn since their victory in the last book.
* BigThinShortTrio: The coalition of evil wizards is mostly differentiated through their body types, matching this.
* BrattyHalfPint: Princess Imogene, who kicks shins, destroys dolls, and [[ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike complains that she isn't being properly rescued when Jaimie and his friends find her]].
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: There's no mention at all of the two adventurers who helped Pentegarn on the previous book's quest.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: Pentegarn's path through the first book seems to be regarded as canon, with how he's mentioned having the magic artifacts found in that path two or three times in this sequel.
* EvilSorcerer: The three wizards who challenge Pentegarn, and [[ObviouslyEvil are none too subtle about what they're really like]].
* ForcedTransformation: The wizards' nephew, Quentin, who they lured into coming to their new castle before turning him into a walking, talking mushroom.
* FriendOrIdolDecision: In one path Jaimie finds a magic book, and can choose to be powerful or to be wise, or to save Pentegarn. Needless to say, the ones that aren't about saving family backfire horribly.
* {{Imprinting}}: One way of getting the Rainbow Dragons' aid is their prince imprinting on Jaimie.
* MushroomMan: One possible ally Jaimie can find.
* RailRoading: The first two sets of choices in the book are completely meaningless. No matter what you choose, you have to accept the wizards' challenge.
* RideTheRainbow: The Rainbow Dragons can create a magic rainbow bridge to get Jaimie back from Limbo.
* SchmuckBanquet: There's one in the castle Jamie can visit in limbo.
* TrappedOnTheAstralPlane: One of the things the trio of wizards suggest Jaimie might do while the grown ups are talking is visit Limbo. Not surprisingly, Jaimie has the opportunity to find some powerful help while he's there.
