!!Tropes relating to William Strife include:
* AbandonedHospital: While trawling through one in his ''Fallout 3'' playthrough, Strife explained that he has a fear of hospitals after playing ''Franchise/SilentHill''.
* AbortedArc: After Solutions in Chaos and Blood and Chaos, there was supposed to be Into Essentia with a trailer being launched, however, due to Thaumcraft not cooperating combined with Parvis' band taking more of his time, it was canceled.
* AscendedFanboy: To the Yogscast, and how! Unfortunately these days from being mistreated by the company and parting on bad terms, he does not view the Yogs as a whole very favorable.
-->'''Will:''' Isn't that like a prerequisite to be part of the Yogs, having to watch all of the content other people put out?
-->'''Parv:''' No, that's to be a Yognau(gh)t.
* BadGuyBar: Strife builds one underneath a restaurant he built for Strife Solutions, happily stocked with as many illegal and addictive chemicals Strife could get his hand on.
* BreathlessNonSequitur: Tend to happen in his videos, whether it be Parvis saying something strange, or Strife saying something that makes no sense in complete confidence, it's a more common form of humor on the channel then you'd expect.
* CasualInterstellarTravel: Seen often within his Mineraft series, whether it be him full-on Star Trek beaming down onto a planet, to jargon about planets between Tevela and Strife casually, to Strife building a teleporter to bring him and Parvis to a new planet using Stargate chevrons in a handful of minutes about getting clearance from the port. It's pretty clear that if Strife's in Minecraft, don't be surprised if this trope pops up whether in dialogue or action between characters.
* CoveredInGunge: True to most people playing modded Minecraft, if a sewage pool is nearby odds are someone's getting knocked into it somehow.
* CrazyPrepared: Strife prefers using a bundle of hard-saves over quick saves in his ''Fallout 3'' playthrough, as it is in the event of the game crashing (Which was supposedly more common at the start of release). He also tells a story of how he once found a Cherry Bomb in a toilet bowl, and since then searches every toilet he can unless he's full on weight.
* {{Crossover}}: Aside from other Yogscast members such as [[Music/Area11 Parv]], Strife has played games of ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' against gamers such as LetsPlay/CaptainSparklez, and other Youtubers such as Music/TayZonday.
* DopeSlap Tends to happen a lot in the videos where Strife is paired up with someone.
* EveryDeviceIsASwissArmyKnife: The trusty Atomic Disassembler with its many many features!
* EvilTowerOfOminousness: Strife Solutions tower.
* TheFaceless: Semi-averted for a while.
** Strife's profile picture on Website/YouTube had for a long time been his face, but always in shadow. When asked if he'd ever show his full face, Strife thought about it before rejecting the idea.
** His profile picture is now a cartoon rendition of his face.
** Now fully averted, as the Yogscast wiki has a photo of him.
* FantasticDrug: Minecraft Redstone is treated as such in his Minecraft series.
* GenreSavvy: He constantly ends up checking Nordic ruins for traps in ''Dragonborn'', which is fairly wise considering how often they appear.
* HamAndDeadpanDuo: Whenever there is a collab, this is bound to appear.
* LetsPlay: Strife has done several playthroughs, including a three-part LP of ''Oblivion'' (Only doing side-quests that earned places in the journal), to help celebrate the release of ''Skyrim'', one of ''VideoGame/ZombiU'', which lasted almost 40 parts before Strife finished it, one of ''Fallout 3'', which was bi-weekly and finished on December 7th, 2013, one of the ''Skyrim'' DLC, ''Dragonborn'', with a release date of once every two days (Finished in Autumn 2013). The last was unique as Strife was going in blind and without any knowledge of the area outside of having gone there in an expansion pack for ''Morrowind''. He also did a complete run of the base game of ''VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas'' (Finished on November 8th 2015), though he did not play the downloadable content chapters.
* LockAndLoadMontage: Every weapon in his guides to the important weapons in ''Fallout New Vegas'' has one of Strife loading the gun/pulling out a weapon and pulling off a V.A.T.S shot of a foe dying.
* RageQuit: During ''Dragonborn'', after dying over 11 times in 20 minutes (Which also included Strife picking up a companion who didn't help), Strife ended the episode early, and the words "Rage Quit" [[FreezeFrameBonus even went by on screen for a split second]].
