The end-result of the scheme is that Alya and Marinette's parents each believe she'll be having fun with the other(s) and Marinette won't ruin things for any of them by telling them the truth, leaving her home alone (aside from Tikki) and miserable on her birthday - not helped when Chloé twists the knife ''even further'' by sending her a sarcastic "Wish you were here" message.
