* When Margaret fires Bob in the opening scene for not doing his job, she tells him she understands if he's intimidated by their writer Frank, but it's no excuse, and then offers to wait two months before firing him so he can look for another job and say he quit to avoid a negative blot on his resume. After they leave Bob's office, he starts getting angry and it becomes clear that he'll publicly confront her and force her to immediately fire him, Margaret mutters a silent plea of "Don't to it Bob, don't do it." Once he does blow up at her, she doesn't cut him any slack, but the whole scene is an early sign that as abrasive as Margaret is, she doesn't go out of her way to hurt people.
* Any time Grace lectures her husband for trying to push his dreams on Andrew.
* When Andrew starts freaking out about the lie he's told and how it will affect Gammy, Margaret actually tries to genuinely comfort him. When she notices how much she cares, it starts to freak her out, signaling that something in their relationship has changed.
* Gammy's present to Margaret, made especially touching since Margaret hasn't had any semblance of family since her parents passed away.
* When Margaret finally cracks and confesses to what she made Andrew do at the wedding.
* Andrew's angry, frustrated rant about Margaret leaving instead of going through with the wedding is strangely sweet in its own way.
** Especially because instead of slipping into a BSOD, he followed her back to the company, and upon hearing her telling him why he should just not bother he promptly tells her (quite loudly) to shut up for a minute so he can say his bit and tell her how he feels.
** That entire speech is priceless.
--->'''Andrew:''' Three days ago, I loathed you. I used to dream about you getting hit by a cab, or poisoned...\
'''Margaret:''' Oh, that's nice.\
