* D'Artagnan promising the people of France to take up the complaint of rotten food to the king personally. Bonus points for having the guts to eat a tomato to determine whether or not it was spoiled.
* Athos practically gushing with pride for his son.
* Raoul and Christine's loving relationship, however brief it was.
--> Raoul: I will never be a rich man, but you will always have my heart. \
Christine: Then I am richer than the king!
** Strongly intertwined with Tearjerker, Raoul knows he's about to die and leaves a letter for Christine, reassuring that he will always love her and IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy does not blame her for becoming the King's mistress. Christine later confesses she cannot pretend to love Louis because she still loves Raoul.
* Philippe meeting his mother for the first time. In the film's commentary, the director says that when he watched the movie with his mother, he noticed she was crying during that scene.
* Philippe's interactions with his mother. Although they only have a few scenes together, their genuine, mutual love for one another is apparent.
** After Philipp's identity is revealed, his mother rushes into the room, and makes a beeline for her newly found son, and he melts into her arms.
** Same with the scene where Athos is upset after learning Raoul will go back to the front. He tells D'Artagnan that he doesn't know what it's like to have a son, a statement that's sadly HarsherInHindsight.
* Athos taking on the role of a surrogate father to Philippe. While some like Aramis consider this relationship merely as Athos looking for a replacement for his late son, it is more than that; Athos sees Philippe as a real person, is genuinely concerned about his happiness and wellbeing, and has deep misgivings about what they plan to do, knowing that they are essentially forcing Philippe to risk his life for their ambitions.
-->Aramis: Do you think I've not considered everything?\
Athos: Have you considered it is not only our lives you risk but Philippe's as well?
** Also, his speech to Philippe when the latter confronts him over his ReplacementGoldfish status:
--->Athos: Yes, Raoul is my reason for being here, but not in the way you think. Once I, once all of us believed in spending our lives in the service of something greater than ourselves. Aramis had his faith, Porthos his lust for life, D'Artagnan his devotion, and I had Raoul. But we all had a common dream: That one day, we would finally be able to serve a king worthy of the throne. It is what we dreamt, what we bled for, and what we have spent a lifetime waiting to see. I taught Raoul to believe in this dream...and now my son is dead. So I am here to find out if his life was in vain, and the only one who can answer that question is you.
** When the big moment for Philippe to impersonate Louis comes, Athos gives him a CooldownHug.
** Athos saying to Philippe "We failed you", despite only being given a few weeks to train Philippe to impersonate the king - a nigh-impossible task for anyone, much less someone who hasn't had human contact for most of his life.
* The interactions between D'Artagnan and Anne (the Queen Mother). Whether it is their glances that speak a thousand words, their conversations, or a passionate kiss/embrace, the love is there.
* "I know that to love you is treason against France... but to NOT love you is treason against my heart."
* "I never knew you existed, and I never felt pride as a father, until this moment."
* The ending, when the other Musketeers are unable to bear killing their heroes and so, they close their eyes and deliberately aim to the floor. The honour and values that had been lost during Louis's rule still lived in Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan, and this was something they couldn't bring themselves to end. Having André being the first to place his sword in his heart (a meaningful gesture for musketeers) is just the crowning moment!
-->André: Magnificent valor...
* With the final switch as Louis is left in the mask and Philippe becomes the king, he declares that the surviving three musketeers are "[his] loyal council and truest friends", honoring everything they have done for France and himself.
* Philippe's final request to Athos after D'Artagnan's funeral, where he requests that Athos allow himself to be the father he never had and that in return Philippe might love him as a son.
