1	* In "T-Rex Returns", a female ''Triceratops'' gores the mother ''Tyrannosaurus'' Nigel spends half the episode following to save the baby she was sinking her teeth into.
2	** Soon after this, Nigel saves the Triceratops who will go onto be named Theo from the injured mother, letting him charge into the time portal by waving his jacket like a matador.
3	* In "A Mammoth Undertaking", Martha is introduced suffering from an infected wound after being grievously attacked by human hunters. When Nigel approaches her and shows her some compassion after she collapses from the injury, she befriends him and trusts him strongly enough to follow him to the park, even though his species killed her beloved sister.
4	** Near the end of the episode, Nigel comes to discover that Martha is refusing to eat because she's all alone in the 21st century, and since she ''needs'' to eat to get her strength back and for her wound to heal, she's risking the chance of literally dying of loneliness. Fortunately, Nigel takes his own risk of introducing Martha to the matriarch of the park's herd of African elephants, which passes with flying colors.
5	** What's even sweeter is that, behind the scenes, the crew made a giant puppet of a mammoth head, then animated it in front of the elephant. They weren't sure how she'd react, but to their surprise, the elephant welcomed it as it would a real elephant.
6	* Nigel's Microraptor befriending his pet macaw in "Dinobirds", with the zoologist himself feeding the pair of them peanuts and telling the latter that it must be exciting to meet its ancestor.
7	** Early in the episode, a group of pterosaurs fly over the lake to snack on fish. Nigel watches them do so with a sense of wonder at how beautiful they are.
8	* Near the end of "Saving the Sabretooth", the two ''Ornithomimus'' eggs that the mother abandoned out of instinct finally hatch, and the babies imprint on Bob.
9	** Bob's determination to see that these babies are born also counts. After the mother rejected their eggs, Suzanne expressed doubt that they'll hatch, but Bob isn't willing to give up on them. Mind you, this guy also goes through colossal amounts of stress and grief managing a park full of prehistoric animals.
10	* Suzanne and her vet team working their hardest to save Terrance after Matilda nearly kills him in "Bug House". At the end of the episode, Terrance makes a full recovery.
11	** There's also Nigel's joy upon finally catching a ''Meganeura'' after several failed attempts.
12	* In "Supercroc", Nigel encounters two juvenile ''Parasaurolophus'' that happen upon his jeep, and they take a moment to investigate it.
13	** Nigel cautiously approaches them, and while they're initially hesitant, they don't appear to feel threatened by him.
