* Playing as a good character [[VideogameCaringPotential nets you a lot of these]]. Especially the "best" ending. To sum up some examples. You can help a terrified woman find her way back to her home world after ''thirty years'' of wandering the Planes, investigate miscarriages of justice, help a kind but shy guard and a lonely but cheerful woman fall in love with each other, openly attempt to end Dakkon's life debt (which is slavery by any given name), confess and try to atone for murders committed by previous incarnations, redeem Trias, resurrect your teammates and willingly end your immortality, knowing you will end up in hell, which is better than having countless innocents die in your place.
* Giving the nameless zombie a new name. She's just so sad that she can't remember her old one, it just feels like an immense victory to come up with a new one for her.
* With a mod, you can send Nordom back to the Modron Cube, saving him from wandering in a world he can't understand.
* Talking down The Paranoid Incarnation into yielding to your will. You need to learn the dead language of Uyo, but once you speak to him in it, he immediately [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness ceases to be hostile and starts speaking in a calm tone.]] You convince him that since [[TrustPassword only the two of you speak the language,]] then you are the same person. You then commiserate with how he's effectively born with no memory or knowledge of his past, how he's pursued by a horde of people who want him dead, and no wonder he's become so paranoid as a result. You then offer to take all his burden into yourself so he can finally rest, and he accepts, saying how he "no longer wishes to live like this" as he yields his life unto you.
* When you learn that you're hell-bound with no chance of redemption, erasing yourself from existence might be a good option. But that means your friends will remain dead. This can motivate you in merging with the BigBad and be DraggedOffToHell instead, just to [[PowerOfFriendship revive your friends and assure that they're safe]].
* Despite all the horrible things you've done to them and can still do, you and members of your party can have a pretty good happy ending. It's easily missed, but as you travel in the Fortress of Regrets you can gain the ability to resurrect dead... And cause enough mayhem to get the Transcendent One off your back long enough to raise each and every member of your party. Feels pretty good after powerlessly watching them die. You also get a nice chat with each one and they reassert their will to help you. Bonus Points: with that last chat? You can FIX Dak'khon's mind and making him whole and focused again, and give Vhailor the biggest injustice to punish. Both of them become, because of that, nigh-unstoppable owerpowered killing machines, always a nice touch before the Final Boss.\
\
And after the Transcendent One is dealt with: your farewells. Even better if you had the opportunity to talk to them BEFORE the fight: at least you had the chance to fight alongside each other one last time. You can say goodbye, thank them, apologize for what you've done. And each of them shows his appreciation: "it's been a pleasure" from Morte, Nordom's demand to be your bodyguard, a silent declaration of love from Annah, the promise that Grace will find you again, settling your debt with Dak'khon... Even VHAILOR says something "nice", along the lines of "you're going in hell, but that's no meaningless punishment: use it to become better". ''Ignus'', of all people, begs your forgiveness at having betrayed his "master's" teaching - and you apologise for ''your'' betrayal and then send him to the Elemental Plane of Fire, probably the one place he'll ever be happy and at peace without being a danger to anyone else.
* It's a small moment, but Grace comforting the Nameless One during his HeroicBSOD after viewing the "Longing" sensory stone really tugs at your heartstrings.
* One of the stories Yves Tales-Chaser tells is that of a new Modron who finds a broken clock, fixes it until it can run again, and then [[CargoShip falls in love with the clock]]. No, really, it's actually really sweet and sincere.
* After defeating Ravel, going to Curst, and returning to Sigil, you can visit Old Mebbeth, the midwife and mage trainer in Ragpicker's square, and one of Ravel's forms/projections/incarnations along with Ei-Vene and Marta. With Ravel dead, Mebbeth is the last of her incarnations and will soon die, but you can have one final conversation with her, in which you can give her one of the Black-Barbed Seeds Ravel gave you in order to provide her with a comfortable death.
* You going into an [[http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/187975-planescape-torment/43523524 absolutely awesome debate]] with The Transcendent One, pointing out his weaknesses, addressing his fears and hatred, then ultimately convince him that it is better for him to join you rather than waste away. The way the text-only debate goes, you can almost hear The Transcendent One let out a teeth-clenched sigh, but ultimately agreeing with your points.
-->'''TTO:''' EVEN IF THERE WERE TRUTH IN YOUR WORDS, THERE IS NOTHING TO BE DONE. I WOULD SOONER DIE THE DEATH OF THE BODY HERE IN THIS FORTRESS THAN SUFFER EXISTENCE WITH YOU.\
'''TNO:''' But why choose that slow, crawling oblivion when we have another solution? If you and I were to be re-united, both of us would cease suffering; we would become whole.\
'''TTO:''' I DO NOT WISH TO TRADE ONE OBLIVION FOR ANOTHER. AND I DO NOT WISH TO INHABIT YOUR SHELL, BROKEN ONE.\
'''TNO:''' It doesn't ''have'' to be oblivion. Who knows what will happen if we become whole? Perhaps you shall be yourself, and I shall be the one who dies. Or perhaps the two of us will become something ''greater'' than the parts.\
'''TTO:''' YOU KNOW NOT WHAT YOU SPEAK OF. IF WE ARE RE-UNITED, THEN IT SHALL BE AN ENDING. THERE SHALL BE NO ''FUTURE'' FOR US. WE SHALL GO ON TO FURTHER TORMENTS. I KNOW THIS.\
'''TNO:''' Then we shall confront these torments together, as one being. And we shall defeat them.\
'''TTO:''' KNOW THAT IF WE BECOME ONE, WE SHALL SUFFER. THERE IS TOO ''MUCH'' OF THE NATURE OF THE FIRST ONE IN US FOR US TO BE SAVED. WE SHALL BE DAMNED.\
'''TNO:''' Then we shall take the battle to damnation itself, and we will become free again.\
'''TTO:''' KNOW THAT I HAVE ALWAYS ''HATED'' YOU, BROKEN ONE. WHEN WE ARE ONE, I WILL CONTINUE TO ''HATE'' YOU. WHEN YOUR SHELL DIES AT LAST, KNOW THAT I SHALL TAKE ''PLEASURE'' IN YOUR DEATH.\
'''TNO:''' I can live with that -- and so can the planes. If we are cast low, then you shall know pleasure in my suffering. But it is better than you join with me and hate me than we die slowly apart, with nothing but oblivion awaiting us.\
'''TTO:''' KNOW THAT MY HATRED FOR YOU WILL ''UNMAKE'' THE PLANES. PREPARE YOURSELF. WE SHALL BE AS ONE AGAIN -- UNTIL YOUR LAST MOMENTS OF LIFE.\
