----
* Dooes and Valeria from episode 19, "Law and Lawlessness" friendship. It's clear despite the differing opinions on Gene and Outlaws like him, they still respect each other.
* Jim and Hanmyo's first meeting in episode 20 "Cats and Girls and Spaceships". Even if the relationship ends on a TearJerker.
* Near the end of the episode "Grave of the Dragon" (before Melfina's put out of commission). After Harry tries to seduce and kidnap Melfina again, he is rebuffed by Gene. As they are about to leave Gene asks Melfina if she wants to leave with him, and that he won't force her to choose. After a few tears, Melfina chooses to stay with Gene.
** While this is going on, Jim and Aisha are observing from the boarding hatch of the Outlaw Star. Jim's calling out in concern for them to board before the unstable planet shakes itself apart, but Aisha just watches the two reconcile with a soft smile, and then affectionately comforts/reassures Jim by tousling his hair in a sisterly way. It's her most emotionally mature moment in the entire show, showing how much she has come to care for the crew as friends and surrogate family while also demonstrating a supportive understanding of Gene and Meflina's developing relationship. All of this is underscored by how she does it in total silence, without any of her usual blustering or bravado.
* Episode 25, despite every lowlife trait Harry has demonstrated throughout the series, especially towards Melfina, he fights albeit with selfish intentions to woe her back to him, to defend her against Hazanko, who has truly malevolent intentions that will have devastating consequences on the universe should they be realized and views her as a puppet, disregarding her individuality completely. Harry, despite ultimately failing, fights for the sake of Melfina's safety, just satisfied with being near her.
** Ron seems to be emotionally devastated at Harry's demise and calls out Gwen for his callousness of not honoring the wishes of the concerned elder brother, to the point of shedding tears when cradling him. Despite being a backstabbing lowlife who caused the deaths of Gene's father and Hilda, [[LaserGuidedKarma immediately pays for it at Gene's hands shortly after]], it's clear that they care that much for each other.
* Episode 26, Melfina asks Gene what his wish is and all he wants is for her to go back with him. Not to mention that [[TheBigDamnKiss kiss to finally establish their relationship]]! It especially is heartwarming because Gene could've wished for his perpetual status of near poverty to go away or even his lost loved ones such as his father and Hilda back, but he chose her, reassuring her that he doesn't see her as a means to an end like Hazanko and others view her as.
** Aisha and Suzuka sneak aboard the Outlaw Star after they supposedly parted ways with the crew.
* The very, very end of the series, with the whole crew reunited and setting off for new adventures, both because it's such a good send-off and embodies the spirit of Outlaw Star, and because we won't get to see those adventures. The ending caption seals it.
