1* When General Tilney takes Catherine to visit Henry's parsonage, nearly every scene radiates heartwarming. Catherine admires the house and pretty rooms and she plays with a litter of puppies.
2* Catherine has been virtually thrown out of Northanger Abbey by the General, and is heartbroken at the thought of never seeing Henry and Eleanor again. After a few long days at home, during which her parents worry about her depression, who shows up unexpectedly but Henry, who has rushed to Fullerton after hearing of his father's terrible behavior towards Catherine. He asks her, in the most circumspect way possible, to go for a walk with him. And ''blushes.'' At this point Mrs. Morland realizes it isn't contrast between the social whirl of Bath and the quiet life at home that has been depressing Catherine.
