* In "Pilot", when the guys found out that Jess was dumped by her new date (just because she text messaged the guy seven times before the date) they hurriedly rush to the restaurant where Jess miserably waited. As soon as the boys arrived they sang ''Film/DirtyDancing'''s "Time of My Life" to motivate Jess back again to the point where the restaurant manager scolded them and told them to go away.
* Nick and Schmidt stood up for Jess when Spencer refused to hand her shirt back. Winston thought the idea was ridiculous but after Jess said that she loves her new roommates, including Winston whom she just met that day, and happy with it; Winston joined the rest of the boys and stood up for Jess to get her shirt back.
* In "Models" - when Nick shows his appreciation for Schmidt's friendship and care for him.
* Slow motion chicken dance. Nick 'finally' gets over Caroline and he shows that he accepts Jess for who she is -- a strange girl who dances the chicken dance differently. Schmidt and Winston joining in made it even better. Doubles as a Crowning Moment of Awesome, too.
* Instead of going to the airport to catch his flight to spend Christmas with his family, Nick drives a heartbroken Jess, fresh from her break up with Paul, to the street with all the fantastic Christmas lights (which she hadn't gotten to see turned on during the day) to cheer her up. When they get there, however, it's so late that everyone has turned them off for the night. Not being discouraged, Nick starts banging on peoples doors shouting "Turn on the lights". Schmidt, Winston, Cece and finally Jess join in, running up and down the street shouting for everyone to turn on their lights until the street magically lights up and Jess gets to see the decorations.
* In "Pepperwood", Nick suspects one of the students in Jess' writing class is a psychopatic killer. He expresses his concern for Jess having to see that guy twice a week in her class, causing her to playfully ask: "Are you worried about me, Miller?", to which Nick responds: "Yeah, I'm a little worried about you", completely serious and without any hesitation, which makes Jess to give him a brief but lovingly look. Then Nick spends the entire episode trying to protect Jess. His suspicions are later proven wrong, but his behavior undoubtedly demonstrates how much Nick loves and cares for Jess.
* Everything Jess does for Nick at [[spoiler: his father's funeral]]. From sobering him up to dressing up as an Elvis impersonator (ItMakesSenseInContext) to facing his mom.
* The big-ass movie theater birthday celebration for Jess in "Birthday".
* Schmidt saying goodbye to Cece's breasts while Cece is wearing headphones in "Goldmine" is mostly a SugarWiki/{{Funny Moment|s}}, but then Cece takes off the headphones and overhears Schmidt saying this:
-->'''Schmidt:''' If I'm being honest, it doesn't matter what size you are, because I'm always going to love you, because you're attached to the most beautiful person in the whole world.
* Nick's bar crawl.
* Schmidt's [[spoiler: marriage proposal to Cece. Complete with callback to his original Jerkass douchejar characterization from the first season.]]
* In "Return to Sender" Nick expresses concern that Schmidt's father is just going to break his heart again (with flashbacks to Nick comforting Schmidt when his dad failed to show up in the past) and gives a speech to Gavin telling him to be a better dad to Schmidt. When it seems like Gavin has stood Schmidt up yet again, Nick shows up to comfort him, even though he said earlier in the episode that he wouldn't do it again.
** Becomes even more heartwarming when Gavin shows up at the last second. It turns out he was late trying to get Schmidt’s deposit back because he didn’t want his son to be married in a slaughterhouse. Instead he offers to hold the wedding at his vineyard.
* Nick and Cece making up after their fight over the fact that she's a slob and he tells the same boring stories over and over. It gets to the point that they've pulled out the huge and detailed roommate agreement, but then they talk it through.
-->'''Nick''': Look, you don't have to sign this thing. It's stupid. The last page is just obscene drawings of cartoon princesses.
-->'''Cece''': I saw them; you're very talented.
-->'''Nick''': Thanks. What they're doing is disgusting, but I think the drawings are nice.
* Schmidt finally accepting that his mom’s friend Lisa is actually her girlfriend as they get engaged.
* Schmidt taking off the night before his wedding to Cece, because he feels that his vows - which are about how he just wants to make her happy - are meaningless if Cece’s mother isn’t at the wedding as that means he hasn’t done everything in his power to make Cece happy, so he decided that was going to fly to Portland to make one last plea for her to attend the wedding.
** Cece’s mother arriving at the loft to attend the wedding, because Schmidt spent the last year leaving voice mails for her in an attempt to convince her to attend.
* Nick giving Schmidt and Cece the Douchebag jar to smash as part of the Jewish wedding tradition.
* Schmidt spends an entire episode trying to get Cece to acknowledge what he thinks would be an appropriate mourning period for her to wait before getting remarried if he should die. At the end of the episode, she finally tells him that she doesn't want to think about what she would do if he died.
-->'''Cece''': I even don't want to think about you being gone. I don't know what I would do without you. I would end up dragging a lawn chair to your grave on the Fourth of July and lighting a sparkler and Ruth would want to come with me because she would say, "Mommy, Kevin's having a party and I don't want to go to the grave...again." Okay, so, I'm just alone, on a chair, and I miss you.
** Followed by Schmidt telling her that he ''would'' want her to remarry and not mourn her whole life.
* Nick and Tran's relationship. It began as Nick being obsessed with a stranger in the park, but we eventually learn that Tran has just as much affection for him, attending several events that Nick hosts. This culminates in the penultimate episode, where he threatens Russel for trying to destroy Nick's wedding.
