Nothing is actually resolved, but after all the legends over the years about how the band weren't talking to each other at this period, to hear them talking frankly about their problems and wanting to solve them is genuinely heartwarming. |
| 7 | * Elsewhere in ''Get Back'', after Harrison has left the band, the remaining three Beatles sit on chairs at the end of the day with nothing in particular to do. [=McCartney=] in particular is sipping a glass of wine and looks exhausted and stressed. Then Lennon, as if worried that the film is no fun at this point, starts coming out with a stream of surrealist nonsense which he delivers absolutely deadpan to the camera and to the others, making [=McCartney=] laugh. Later, as there'll about to leave, there's a long shot of [=McCartney=] talking to Starr and putting a hand on his arm. Lennon comes over to them and puts his hands on both of their arms, and we learn in a caption that they're agreeing to go to Harrison's house and attempt to convince him to rejoin the band. (They weren't successful on that occasion, but they tried again a couple of days later, and it worked.) |
