Heartwarming Music/JimiHendrix moments.

* More than one of Hendrix's songs are sung from the point of view of a man telling a woman that she makes him realise that she's a better person than he is, and that he's not worthy of her love ''yet'' but he's working on it, the classic example being "Bold as Love" from ''Music/AxisBoldAsLove'' (but "Angel" is another one).
* Dedicating the first ever live performance of "Machine Gun" on ''Music/BandOfGypsys'' to "all the soldiers fighting in Vietnam."
* Music/TheBeatles released ''Music/SgtPeppersLonelyHeartsClubBand'' on 1 June 1967. Three days later, Paul [=McCartney=] and Brian Epstein went to see The Jimi Hendrix Experience in the Saville Theatre in London. Hendrix opened the concert with the title track of ''Sgt Pepper'', which had been written partly as a deliberate homage to Hendrix's blues-rock style; the album had only been out for three days, but Hendrix was already covering it. [=McCartney=] later said that this was "one of the great honours of my career".
-->"You haven't heard your song until you've heard Jimi play it back a hundred times faster and louder."
* At Film/{{Woodstock}}, the festival's playlist had to changed due to various delays such as bad weather and numerous acts, such as Music/ShaNaNa, were forced to wait around and probably would not able to play at all. Hendrix found out this situation, and made it clear that as a highlight act on the festival, he put his foot down saying that he would not play himself unless those acts got their chance to perform first. The organisers gave in and Sha Na Na, a do wop retro group, got their big break that would make them a pop sensation in UsefulNotes/TheSeventies thanks to the kindness of seemingly the least likely rock star fan of all.
** In fact, you can see him grooving in the wings to Sha Na Na's performance, patiently waiting and thoroughly enjoying their music.
