* His review of the Studio Ghibli film ''Anime/TheWindRises'' is essentially just one giant love letter to Creator/HayaoMiyazaki.
* Small, but in the update video of April 2014, he stated that the people of PME (Project Million Entertainment) took down his video series, The Life of an Internet Troll, so that it would not taint his reputation by association with the controversy surrounding PME.
* Whenever he gives a film a rating of 10/10. It's just ''adorable'' to hear him gush about films he loves.
* The Best and Worst films of 2023 is an extremely positive list, as Matt spends quite a bit of time gushing about how great and progressive the animated films of the year were. Highlights include:
** He has nothing but praise for both ''WesternAnimation/{{Elemental|2023}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Wish}}'', two movies that weren't exactly considered high points for Disney or Pixar, pointing out that both pretty much got savaged purely because of the "Disney bad" mentality, even if he does admit they have some flaws. He even admits how pleased he was that the former movie was able to make a comeback and hopes the latter can do the same.
** The sheer joy in his voice over ''WesternAnimation/{{Nimona}}'' not only managing to even be released but be the success it ended up being.
** Even the worst list surprisingly positive, with Matt only outright disliking one of them (''WesternAnimation/TrollsBandTogether'') and mentioning that they all had a least a few positive aspects to them, even if the bad outweighs the good.
