| 1 | * "I Saw God Today" is an amazing song--it's about a man who's wife had spent at least eighteen hours in labor with their first child (later revealed be to a girl), and he starts seeing things that he takes as signs of God (such a flower growing out of a crack in the sidewalk, a couple holding hands and seeing the woman herself is apparently expecting a baby, and the colors of the sunset). And how the narrator seems so happy/amazed when he goes to see his newborn daughter in the hospital's nursery. |
