* Unless I'm very much mistaken, it's implied that if the average person would try to use the mobile trace system, their body would be crushed. Rain, who is mostly a doctor and engineer by occupation, has no trouble using it. Would this mean Rain has the approximate body build of a Gundam fighter?
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4lJq6SFLYQ Because all scientists secretly have super strength. Just ask Ray Palmer.]]
** The only person we ever saw at risk of being crushed was Chang, a ten year old boy, who had neither the strength nor bone density of an adult. Sai and Allenby have light builds and probably aren't much stronger than an average adult, yet they can handle the trace system with no problems. I think it's more that an average person can use it with some difficulty, which Rain had when putting the LatexSpacesuit on.
*** "Difficulty"... [[ImaginedInnuendo is that what they're calling it now]]?
*** Sai and Allenby might have small builds, but I see no reason to doubt that they have above-average strength. They are after all highly skilled martial artists in a universe where SuperStrength is standard for martial artists.
** The Gundams' Trace Systems are built for the pilot. Physically, Rain is very similar to Domon. Chang was about half Domon's size and as such, was almost crushed when the Gundam tried to suit up the 5'8" Domon.
** Also, Rain would know how to adjust the Trace system for her own dimensions.

* How was Allenby able to use the Bakunetsu God Finger (in that one tag-team episode)?
** The Nobel Gundam started charging up some kind of... glowing-red hand attack while it was in Berserker mode, so maybe it was an adaptation of that? (Or just RuleOfCool.)
** IIRC, Allenby placed a chip in the God Gundam's cockpit, transferring some of its power to the on-its-last-legs Nobel Gundam. The ability for the Nobel to use the God Gundam's finisher was probably coincidental.
** It's implied that the "finger attacks are natural to the school of the undefeated of the east so It's probable that Domon taught her a watered down version she later used or she just copied it I mean she is pretty good as a fighter.
** Allenby may also have some degree of Eidetic Kinesthesia, or flawless muscle memory. She's seen Domon use the Bakunetsu God Finger before, and reflexively can duplicate the movements. Then from there, she adapted/extrapolated the rest to work with Nobel Gundam's kit (EG, rather than using Ki/Spirit to explode the enemy, she just vents energy through the hand or simply brute-forces a similar result.

* The attitude towards Gentle Chapman after he [[CameBackWrong is resurrected by DG Cells]]. It's more hilarious than anything else that they consider a disqualified Fighter being sent to the Finals more important, but--do they really think that Chapman came back of his own free will? And you'd think that George, who knows firsthand that DG Cells make one BrainwashedAndCrazy, would have a little more sympathy for the guy.
** Of course, Chapman isn't even technically alive in the strictest sense. He's basically an animated pile of flesh held together with DG cells for the express purpose of powering his Gundam.
** Maybe the Shuffle Crests gave their holders the ability to sense whether someone is completely overrun by DG Cells?

* How is "Homicidally insane berserker Sailor Moon" related to Sweden? All the other Gundams are related to their country.
** Possibly some kind of Sweden--Vikings--berserkers connection? I'm not ingenious enough to explain the Sailor Moon mechanical design, though.
** [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff Swedes love Sailor Moon?]]
** I think it's part of the "All Scandinavian women are hot blondes" trope; curiously, Allenby has aqua-blue hair.
*** [[InsaneTrollLogic Swede Means Viking. Viking means boat. Boat means Sailor. Allenby is Female. Female Sailor Means Sailor moon]].

* I understand that Master Asia or Mr. Wong wouldn't have wanted to remove Kyoji from the core life unit until they had a suitable replacement and plus Asia wanted to keep him there as a bargaining chip to use against Domon ("Fill in for your brother whose broken body is barely breathing thanks to you defeating the Dark Gundam"). However why doesn't Domon himself try to remove Kyoji once he finds out his brother is trapped there? Kyoji's clone Schwarz tried to free the original Kyoji, which hints that Kyoji could survive the removal, but then the Dark Gundam tries to absorb him too which instantly makes him tell Domon to destroy them along with the Dark Gundam. Didn't Domon realize that he could use his Gundam's fingers to get a grip around Kyoji's body and rip him out of the Dark Gundam's core life unit or was he really so on the verge of death he wouldn't have survived being removed?
** He probably was; Schwarz was suffering visibly from Kyoji's weakened state before he got near the Devil Gundam's cockpit. Also, the Devil Gundam was attacking the God Gundam all-out, which would have made the fine manipulation needed to break the tentacles without crushing them ''and'' carry them to safety while being fired on and pursued by Gundam heads pretty much impossible. Before then, any attempt Domon could have made to pull Kyoji out would also have been interrupted by the Devil Gundam and Master Asia.
*** Not the original poster of this question, but after binging the series again the original question has a valid point. The Devil Gundam ''was'' attacking, and even tore Schwartz' Gundam to pieces as it approached, but once he got there and grabbed Kyoji, there's a brief scene of the Devil Gundam's eyes going all static and then dark, right before the wires try to drag Schwartz inside. The overall impression is like when you partially pop a battery out of a device, and it's making contact but the contact isn't good enough to provide enough power. The Devil Gundam literally just sits there motionless (aside from the aforementioned wires on Schwartz) and doesn't make any meaningful movement or attack while Schwartz and Domon have a brief back and forth argument about what needs to be done. It doesn't even try to deflect, dodge, or otherwise interrupt Domon's attack. Sure, Master Asia was still a factor, but the Devil Gundam itself wasn't doing anything that would have stopped Domon from yanking the pair free, throwing them into God Gundam's cockpit, and then high-tailing it out of there to get them some medical attention. Master Asia might also have backed off if Domon had gotten close enough to reach inside the Devil Gundam's cockpit, too, if only to avoid the risk of damaging that vital structure. He ''was'' a little ways away from the area, not right on top of Domon.

* During the fight between Bolt Gundam and Dragon Gundam in the Guyana Highlands. Bolt Gundam's arm is chained to a rock by the chain of its own Graviton Hammer, leading to a CMOA when Argo rips his own Gundam's arm off rather than lose. Only one problem; the chain is a beam. Surely it has an 'off' switch?
** That's not how the Trace System works. It tries to replicate everything that happens to the Gundam to it's pilot, that's why they feel pain. Argo's arm was completely restricted by the "Chain" so he couldn't move enough to switch it off. Either that or endorphins made him a bit crazy.
** It's never really shown exactly how certain attacks are turned off. For Gundams that carry weapons, the "off switch" seems to be putting the weapon away. It's likely that the chain wouldn't release from the ball unless Argo returned the ball to the holding socket on his Gundam's shoulder. The way his arm was restrained made this impossible at the time.

* Before the big reveal that Kyoji was trapped in the Dark/Devil Gundam's cockpit we see Kyoji directing the actions of the Gundam personally. Is this really Kyoji under the mind control of the Gundam or is it just some representation of Kyoji the Dark Gundam conjured up using DG Cells? I was under the impression that the Dark Gundam was powerful enough to let Kyoji temporarily leave the cockpit and mind control him but after Domon severely crippled it by using that Super Mode powered Shining Finger Kyoji needed to stay in the cockpit at all times in order to continue functioning. Which interpretation is accurate?
** Considering we see DG cells able to give what is essentially instant plastic surgery and perform a mind transfer, it's not a stretch to imagine that it was actually the Devil Gundam's personality taking the form of Kyoji.
** After rewatching the entire series, I noticed that no one else ever really seemed to react to the presence of Kyoji other than Domon. You'd think that at least once, someone else would have some sort of reaction if Kyoji was really there... Like maybe Chibodee yelling at him to stop laughing. I have come to the conclusion that Kyoji was never able to leave the cockpit once the Devil Gundam pulled him inside. Domon's intense feelings about the Devil Gundam and his brother, [[WildMassGuessing possibly with lingering side-effects from that simulation his government subjected him to]], caused Domon to imagine he was seeing his brother standing atop the Devil Gundam. Note that he often saw Kyoji standing on the Devil Gundam's shoulder, much like when Kyoji stole the Gundam in the simulation. He also frequently seemed to imagine his brother looming in the sky above the Devil Gundam when looking at it from a distance, so it doesn't seem unreasonable.
** It may also be that Domon can sense Kyoji's presence (both as a result of his training (Shining/God Finger are stated to be based off Ki manipulation outside of Gundams, so he may have trained in Ki mastery)), and familial connection (Kyoji is his elder brother, and from what we've seen, the person he was closest to out of his family). The laughter could have been either a degree of projection (Domon WANTS to hate Kyoji, since his orders are to stop him) or a result of sensing the Devil Gundam's corruption melding with Kyoji's presence (the Devil Gundam is functionally insane at this point, so Domon may be feeling that insanity merged with Kyoji's Ki).

* How do DG cells work? For instance, how do DG cells replicate without some sort of metal with which to build said cells, like when they infect a person?
** Hard to believe, but there are minute traces of metal naturally produced in the human body as a mineral, like Iron and Zinc in our blood and bones. the DG cells could be building off of that.
** I'm aware of that, but the amount of metal in a person is negligible. If that's the case those that are heavily infected with DG cells must have to eat several bucketfuls of metal rich foods in order to have that many DG cells. Then there's when the DG cells animate the DEAD, which don't have any metal to speak of.
** The Devil Gundam seems to be able to adapt and absorb. That's how it "Self-recovers". I assume it's like a form of Reverse Space Steam Cells. The DG Cells are corrupting already-present matter into more DG Cells so the Devil Gundam can absorb and become more powerful. The real question is ''how the HELL'' did Dr. Kasshu build an Organic, self-multiplying, self-aware, learning, unstoppable, ''feeling'' machine that can alter its own genetic structure to influence others in the first place?! He must be the greatest scientist of his time, no wonder Mikamura was jealous.
** They might be capable of dismantling and assembling things on a subatomic level. Sure, it's far fetched, but what about G Gundam isn't, really?
*** Subatomic matter manipulation and absorption are probably what's going on. Towards the end of events in Shinjuku, Rain stumbles on the Devil Gundam absorbing the Death Army into its form and concludes that it had been absorbing what it needed from the city. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume that DG cells then have similar abilities, allowing an infected host to absorb metal from its environment rather than relying purely on the host's ability to consume the metal necessary for replication. It would have to be able to do this to cause a significant infection in a fighter that was already dead, like Chapman or the Egyptian mummy, as dead beings wouldn't be able to do anything to aid the establishment of the infection until there were enough DG cells to reanimate them.
** Another possibility is that DG Cells aren't exactly "metal", but rather a carbon-based cellular structure when infecting living tissue. Something closer to carbon-fiber or the like

* Who was in the Walter Gundam when Domon was attacked on his way to Neo Hong Kong? We don't get the impression Allenby was under their control until later on, Michelo, Chapman, and Funsaaki were obviously in theirs, and Master was occupied.
** According to WordOfGod, it was indeed Allenby inside Walter, as little sense as that actually makes.

* For that record are the Kings gundams the original suits mutated by the Dark Gundam, or are they entirely new suits that just disguise themselves as suits their pilots are more familiar with until they are ready to pilot the real form?
** Possibly a combination of both. The Kings could be shaped DG cell constructs that are housed inside their originals

* Is the clone Schwarz piloting the Gundam Spiegel/Shadow Gundman in the same way the original did? Kyogi didn't seem like much of a fighter so the fighting skills seem more natural to have come from the body, but there's still the oddness that the German gundam was designed to do ninja attacks. Unless we're supposed to take this is as a parody that Hitler let some people do some out there experiments, that someone in Neo-Germany thought "let's send our guy to ninja school, nobody will expect that".
** It may be that the original Schwarz was a trained Ninja (either from someone who had immigrated to Neo-Germany (think how Jujitsu or Karate became popular in Brazil), or he'd traveled to Neo-Japan to learn there (perhaps Scwarz had met someone who had trained in it in the past, and decided to learn it)). From the brief glimpse we see, Spiegel had the same design when the original died, so it's likely that the original used the same fighting style.
*** Yep, the older fighters from Neo Germany were also known for their advanced ninjutsu tactics. WordofGod from the Blu-Ray artbook, in this universe German ninjas are just a normal thing.
* So in the episode with Mermaid Gundam, the deal is that the Mermaid Gundam is damaged so badly that it can only make it through its one last fight against Sai Saici before being retired. Given that the rules of the finals allow for as much repair work to be done on the Gundams as the nations can do, this implies that Neo-Denmark is out of resources to repair the Gundam. But then in the final battle against the Devil Gundam, they have a whole horde of prototypes. Why didn't they just use some of those for spare parts?
** Perhaps they were older models? Similar in appearance but less capable in function. And in that case, similar to a car, parts from older models might not be compatible.
* How exactly was the Devil Gundam suppose to restore Earth? It’s three theoretical abilities seem to be mainly beneficial for evil.
** Not necessarily. Self replication, healing and evolution are all organic traits, and the original purpose of the Devil Gundam was to use its nanomachines to fix the environment. These would be useful traits to have since it would let it allow the DG to fix any kind of damage with enough time. (Also, new questions go on the bottom of the page.)
