4	** Keith Howard, more commonly called Bandit Keith, qualifies for this trope. To wit, he has his goons kidnap Jonouchi (Joey) to duel Ghost (Bonz), traps our heroes in the same cave the duel took place, steals Jonouchi's entry card, cheated in their duel in the Duelist Kingdom finals and even threatens to shoot Pegasus for his money once he loses. His thuggish SmugSnake personality serves as a [[{{Foil}} counterpoint]] to BigBad Maximillion Pegasus' cultured MagnificentBastard, and accordingly it's Pegasus who gets to serve LaserGuidedKarma to Keith, flat-out killing him in the manga and quite literally ejecting him from the tournament in the anime.
5	** Insector Haga (Weevil Underwood) is even worse. He was the one that threw Yugi's Exodia cards off the deck of the cruise ship on the way to Duelist Kingdom, after all. In his duel against Yugi in Duelist Kingdom he manipulated Yugi into dueling in an arena that gave him an advantage (and still lost); he flat-out ''cheated'' in his duel in Battle City (and still lost); and in the Doma FillerArc, the moment where he pretends to rip Yugi's soul card in half to torment the poor Pharaoh (and then mocks him for his subsequent breakdown) is one of the most despicable moments of any character in the franchise. [[UnstoppableRage Not that he doesn't immediately pay dearly for it...]] and speaking of which, it's rare to find a fan who doesn't think Haga/Weevil deserves it, and some think he deserves it just for the stunt he pulled with Exodia by itself.
6	** In contrast to the BigBad of the Battle City arc, that is both incarnations of Marik, their father has absolutely no redeemable qualities that make him likeable or sympathetic like the normal Marik nor is he [[LoveToHate entertaining to watch]] like Yami Marik; instead, he is shown to be a completely {{Abusive Parent\|s}} who [[SkewedPriorities sees protecting the Pharaoh's memories as more important than the well-being of his family]] to the point that he is willing to put Marik through intense pain during the Tombkeeper's Initiation against his will, treating his adopted brother Rishid (Odion) as nothing more than a servant. As a result, [[AssholeVictim nobody was sorry to see him go when Yami Marik either flayed the skin off his back, stabbed him to death with the Millennium Rod, or banished him to the Shadow Realm]].
7	* ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'':
8	** [[TheRival Jun Manjoume]]'s (Chazz Princeton) eldest brothers, who do not feel any bit of sympathy or attachment towards their sibling. The only thing that they need him for is for winning, to avoid besmirching their precious family name. It's really cathartic when Judai (Jaden) defends his rival after the brothers berate him for losing, and even more so when Jun defeats his eldest brother despite being forced to duel at a disadvantage.
9	** The manga has Ryuga, a prospective Duel Academy teacher who serves as the StarterVillain. He plans to become a teacher at Duel Academy out of a lust for power, planning on flattering the principal until he's ready to overthrow him. While dueling against other students as part of his job application, he cheats to win, using a secret device to interfere with his opponents' gear, and confiscates cards from Sho once he wins. When Judai confronts him about it, he smugly denies any wrongdoing, and announces his intention to expel Judai after being hired. Judai managing to make a comeback and thwart Ryuga's ambitions is rather cathartic.
10	* ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'':
11	** Takasu is a [[WardensAreEvil corrupt warden]] who sadistically abuses the inmates in the Detention Center, confiscating their decks as well as lying and cheating to get his way. Rex Godwin orders him to observe Yusei's Mark of the Signers when he is arrested and sent to the Detention Center, but Takasu goes out of his to make things as unfair to Yusei as possible, challenging the latter to a duel despite his deck being confiscated, inflicting ElectricTorture on Yusei whenever he loses Life Points ([[DirtyCoward while ensuring he doesn't get the same treatment]]), and having his men use the security cameras to look at the cards in Yusei's hand. Takasu [[VillainousBreakdown slowly loses it]] when Yusei counters each of his methods of cheating[[note]]Constructing a deck from the inmate's treasured cards, having Alex cause a power outage so he can [[ScrewTheRulesTheyBrokeThemFirst take advantage of the blackout to switch the cards he set to trick Takasu into targeting the wrong card]], and Alex turning on Takasu's electroshock treatment before he is caught[[/note]] and when Yusei uses Takasu's [[HoistByHisOwnPetard Mill strategy against him to win the duel]], Takasu breaks his end of bargain and attempts to have Yusei locked up, [[BlatantLies all the while denying he ever made such a deal]]. Godwin (who was watching the entire duel and had discovered Takasu's abuse of power) puts a stop to him and [[EvenEvilHasStandards fires him on the spot for his sadism and lack of honor]]. Among the many antagonists without supernatural powers, Takasu is definitely one of the most loathsome, being a [[TheBully bully]] (as shown by how he abuses his authority as the warden and sadistically tortures the inmates), PoliticallyIncorrectVillain (looking down on people from the Satellite District), SoreLoser (refusing to accept his loss against Yusei and trying to lock him up), and [[DickDastardlyStopsToCheat cheat]][[CheatersNeverProsper er]].
12	** Divine is the ringleader of the Arcadia Movement who experiments on individuals with psychic powers and is the catalyst of the tragic ordeals of Aki, Carly, and Misty, the third being responsible for the death of her little brother Toby. He sees everyone around him as pawns rather than people, like taking advantage of Aki's insecurities to make her a worst version of herself, and gleefully discards anyone who he can't use, all while showing no shame nor remorse for his crimes whatsoever. It only took Yusei baiting him into confessing the truth about Toby in the middle of Aki and Misty's duel, which leads the latter sending him into Hell through Earthbound Immortal Ccharayhua. His final fate was poetic justice to say the least.
13	* ''Anime/YuGiOhZEXAL'' has the overall BigBad and GreaterScopeVillain Don Thousand, for his game-breaking deck that borders on parody and his cruel treatment of the Barians and how he corrupted them [[spoiler:(including ''Vector'')]].
14	* ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV'':
15	** Eita Kyuando is a {{smug\|Snake}} {{Jerkass}} with a heaping dose of InsufferableGenius to boot.
16	** The Doktor from the Fusion Dimension is even worse. He shoves Parasite Fusioners the Bracelet Girls and sends them after the good guys just so he can taunt them about their bonds being shattered. He even goes so far as to show Yuya he has Yuzu under his thrall as he repulsively caresses her face with his hand. [[spoiler:Even ''Leo'', who had Yuri kidnap two of those girls to Academia and sees all four of them as pieces of his daughter Ray, [[EvenEvilHasStandards finds it so vexing]] to the point where he personally sealed The Doktor away in a card.]]
