[[caption-width-right:160:Heads up, Marin!]]
* After stealing from the Mabe Village shop, which, on top of renaming you to "THIEF" for the entirety of the game, gives you this guilt-trippy bit of text:
-->"Guess what? You got it for free. [[YouBastard Are you proud of yourself?]]"
** Also, if you go back into said shop after shoplifting...
--->'''Shopkeeper:''' I wasn't kidding when I said pay! '''[[ShopliftAndDie Now, you'll pay the ultimate price!!]]'''
* Most of the photo ops in the DX version, particularly:
** "Heads up!": Marin falling on Link if he leads her down the well.
** "Link [[BlatantLies plays]] with [=BowWow=]": [=BowWow=] trying to eat Link.
** Tarin forcing himself between Link and Marin when they get a picture taken at the rooster statue. Even better is their expressions; while Tarin has a wide and oblivious smile, Marin and Link just give him annoyed looks.
** The photographer falling off a bridge while trying to take your photo.
** Link walking out of the shop with stolen goods, putting on an exaggeratedly-shifty expression.
** And of course, the 13th picture, "GameOver": Link appears beaten up because the photographer did not take "No" for an answer the first time he takes your picture.
* A lot of stuff that Marin does when she's following you. The well and statue photographs seen above come during this part, but you can also have fun taking her to the Trendy Game, where she asks you to buy her a turn. It's well worth the 10 rupees.
** Play the ocarina with Marin and she'll tell you you're not very good at it. When Link questions her she says he's hearing things.
** There's something funny about Marin calling you a "bad boy" when you throw a pot. No matter how you say it, it just doesn't come out serious.
** The first twenty times you attack a Cucco, Marin will chide you. After you hit it some more:
---> '''Marin''': Ha ha ha! Do it! Do it! Do it moooore! ... ... Hunh? No, it's nothing... I didn't mean it.
** Try digging and you get this:
---> '''Marin''': Great! Dig it! Dig it! Dig to the center of the earth!
** Most of these are made even funnier in the Switch remake, which gives Marin visual expressions and reactions to go with each of them, such as [[ActingUnnatural smiling cheerily when dismissing her critique of Link's ocarina-playing]], or [[SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound squealing and laughing excitedly]] whenever he digs a hole.
* While on your date, twice will Marin try and discuss various topics with Link, taking the time to look him over for signs of a reaction. After failing to get anything out of him, she asks whether he was even paying attention and why he won't say anything.
* Hell, when you first ''get'' Marin... You lift her up and the ItemGet jingle goes. To quote LetsPlay/{{Chuggaaconroy}}: "Link is a master at [[{{Pun}} Picking Up Chicks.]]"
** You could also say that [[HurricaneOfPuns he swept her off her feet, or that they just became an item]].
** On a slightly cruder note, ''also'' notice that [[PowerPerversionPotential Marin's wearing a dress as Link lifts her above his head]].
* Striking an enemy when you have a Piece of Power or the Red Tunic will send them flying until they hit an obstacle or wall, at which point they'll do the usual death explosion. Strike a flying or levitating enemy (like the [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Boo]]s in Bottle Grotto or the crows in the wasteland) when you have this power boost, however, and they'll simply be sent flying until they disappear offscreen entirely, never to be seen again.
* After the third dungeon, Tarin asks if he can borrow a stick you're carrying (as part of a ChainOfDeals). When you do, he chooses to... strike the nearby honeycomb. It goes [[ScaryStingingSwarm about how you'd expect]]. You can later find him recovering in bed, saying he's lost his taste for honey.
* "You got the [[InfinityPlusOneSword Magic Rod]]! Now you can burn things! Burn it! [[ShoutOut Burn, baby, burn!]]"
** The remake changes this to "You got the Magic Rod! Now you can burn things! [[PyroManiac Burn it! BURN IT! BURN IT ALL!]]". You can just imagine whoever's reading the text [[LaughingMad devolving into insane laughter]] after ''that''.
* "You k-k-k... ''beat'' my brothers!". Regardless of whether it's purposeful as a parody of NeverSayDie, or accidental and thus full of unintentional {{Narm}}, it's still worth a good laugh.
* Learning Manbo's Mambo. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4puhC7Svgs OH!]]
* [[AccidentalInnuendo "LINK checked the chest. Wow, this is a nice chest!"]]
** This becomes even funnier in the remake when for most of the game, they changed the aforementioned text. However, this line is kept for the chests in ''one'' particular house... '''Crazy Tracy's'''.
* One exclusive to the remake: the return of [[Funny/TheLegendOfZeldaALinkBetweenWorlds Burgerdorm]].
* In the remake, if Link places a bomb for a Dodongo Snake too soon after it's eaten one, it shakes its head and goes off in a different direction.
* In some playthroughs of the Switch remake, it happened that Marin basically became locked in her prologue-state, where she would stand inside of her house repeating her first piece of dialogue in the game when spoken to, no matter how far Link had advanced into the story. Even though it was only the result of a bug that was eventually patched, it led some fans to joke that she was trying to make the game unwinnable to ensure that Link would never leave the island.
* Many kids probably learned about what {{Catfishing}} meant when they gave Christine's letter to Mr. Write and you see [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Princess Peach's picture]] instead of a goat's. Even the narration seems baffled by the picture rather than interested in the broom that was obtained.
