!!''Film/MadMaxFuryRoad''
* One of the War Boys in the opening foot chase scene through the Citadel falls to his death trying to grab Max and calls out "Witness me!", despite it not even being a ''remotely'' glorious death.
** Worse, everyone is looking at Max, so no one did.
* During the first chase scene, Max is strapped like a hood ornament to Nux's car. That would be amusing enough on its own (the sheer impotent ''rage'' he projects at the indignity could blister paint), but Max also spends every second spewing the most hilarious {{Angrish}}. (The funniest part is that being strapped like that is a minor annoyance at best to him.)
** A highlight is Max noticing that his Interceptor is being driven and wondering aloud how much more can be taken from him:
--->'''Max:''' How much more can they take from me? They've got my blood. Now it's my car!\
''[camera pans back to [[AnswerCut reveal Nux wearing Max's jacket]] and grinning]''
** The mere implication of Max viewing his car as more valuable than his blood is amusing as well.
** When Slit takes a shot at a target and barely misses Max's head, Max gets pissed and screams "''THAT'S MY HEAD!''" Slit and Nux just grin.
* Nux drives up alongside Immortan Joe and goes into worship mode, shouting and saluting frantically (contrast with Slit's silent and formal salute) until Joe fixes him with a DeathGlare. Nux freaks out, during which this little exchange takes place:
-->'''Nux''': He looked at me! He looked right at me!\
'''Slit''': He looked at your blood bag!\
'''Nux''': He turned his head, he looked me straight in the eye!\
'''Slit''': He was scanning the horizon!
** And while this War Boy banter is going on, the "blood bag" [[FunnyBackgroundEvent can be seen in the shot, cussing a blue streak]] as mentioned above.
** Honestly, the whole scene just smacks of "[[MemeticMutation Senpai]] [[strike:noticed]] [[MemeticMutation witnessed me!]]" and it's [[https://38.media.tumblr.com/a3b9ff8e4ae0682435623ec8f23e0e0b/tumblr_npd2fsMNHf1rnkzl6o1_r1_400.gif hilarious]].
** It culminates in Nux fangasming so hard he wrenches his steering wheel right off and holds it triumphantly aloft ''while the car is still tooling along at top speed''.
* Immortan Joe's biggest rig apparently runs on...'''''ThePowerOfRock!'''''
** The guitarist on said rig plays an electric guitar that shoots fire. [[RuleOfCool It's both hilarious and awesome.]] It would be impractical, except it's based on the real life practice of war trumpets and drummers.
** When the war party gets stuck in the bog, the guitarist keeps playing uncertainly for a moment, [[LettingTheAirOutOfTheBand and then stops]].
** The guitarist is constantly playing along with the film's soundtrack.
** When Joe's party has stopped moving, the guitarist is napping peacefully in his harness, with someone having thoughtfully provided him with a parasol.
* Max's attempts to free himself from an unconscious Nux. He finally tries to ''gnaw'' Nux's hand off, but...
## the muzzle/mask/collar is still on and in the way, and
## Max is making ridiculous growling noises as he attempts to bite anyway.
* The BrickJoke of Max losing a boot during his struggle with Slit, swiping Nux's boot for a replacement post-sandstorm, and later giving Nux a replacement boot, which he most likely swiped from the Bullet Farmer.
* During a heartfelt talk about life as a War Boy, Nux mentions his friends Larry and Barry chewing on his windpipe...[[BlackComedy and then points to two radioactive growths with painted smiley faces on his neck]].
-->'''Nux:''' My mates. ''[points to each]'' Larry and Barry.
* Nux reveals that part of the mythology behind Valhalla was "[=McFeasting=]" with the heroes and Immortans of old. That's right, Immortan Joe basically promised all of his War Boys UsefulNotes/McDonalds if they died for him.
* When Rictus is sampling the mother's milk, his grunt of approval is subtitled to [[CloudCuckooLander "Moo."]]
* Nux wins the favour of Immortan Joe, and reveals to him that he knows how to get inside Furiosa's War Rig. Joe hands Nux his own revolver, gives him his blessing, tells him he'll ''personally'' deliver him to the gates of Valhalla should he succeed, and sends him aboard the Rig to finish the job. Epic music rises as Nux begins his run towards the cab... and [[FailedAttemptAtDrama his chain catches on the ladder]], wrenching his feet from under him. He bounces off the War Rig face-first and loses the revolver. Immortan Joe's reaction about sums up the audience's opinion.
-->'''Immortan Joe:''' ''[[EpicFail MEDIOCRE!]]''
* When Nux is brought along with Joe and Rictus after proving he was on the War Rig and thus could be of use, Slit tries to join them by holding up Max's boot and claiming that it belonged to the Blood Bag that Joe has little interest in, and is subsequently completely ignored.
* Cheedo the Fragile, living up to her epithet, tries to surrender to the nearest vehicle of War Boys riding toward them. As she runs towards them, Furiosa calmly pulls out her rifle and takes them out with one shot, leaving Cheedo to stumble to a halt, suddenly out of options.
* As tense and brilliantly choreographed as it is, the MeleeATrois fight is hilarious when you really consider the details: Max is fighting a one-armed, soot-covered MamaBear while chained to an initially unconscious War Boy. Several sex slaves, two of whom are pregnant, are alternating between cowering when Max grunts threateningly at them and trying awkwardly to assist Furiosa. Any time Nux gets in between Max and Furiosa he promptly gets [[IronButtMonkey pounded into the dirt]]. Even Max firing three warning shots feels like he's saying "ENOUGH ALREADY!"
** At one point Nux ends up with the magazine, and Max with the gun and straddling Furiosa with an arm twisted behind her back. Nux helpfully pops into the shot holding the magazine for Max to slide into the gun without a blink, as though they've practiced it. The best part is that it's completely in-character with what we know of Nux.
** On a meta level, both Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, who [[VitriolicBestBuds got on each others' nerves]] during filming, found the fight scene cathartic if they seemed a little [[MethodActing too eager]] to beat the crap out of each other. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley even compared it to "letting Mom and Dad sort things out."
* When going after the truck, the Bullet Farmer proves he's as much of a DeadpanSnarker as he is a LargeHam.
-->'''Bullet Farmer:''' All this for a family squabble.
** Right after that, the People Eater shoots him a hilariously bored look that says "yeah, I'm just as annoyed as you are."
* Just before they deal with the Bullet Farmer, Max and company notice the War Rig is moving again... And stand there awkwardly for a moment, before realizing that neither Max or Furiosa is driving it and they all rush to catch up to it.
* Max's attempts to snipe the Bullet Farmer. He only has 3 bullets. After missing twice, he begrudgingly hands the gun over to Furiosa, who makes the shot effortlessly. She also uses Max's shoulder as a makeshift steadying tool, and the blast clearly rings through Max's ears.
** What makes this especially delicious is Furiosa standing behind Max, ''literally bouncing in place'' with impatience and reaching for the rifle as Max misses twice. You can almost hear her saying "gimme the gun, gimme the gun, GIMME THE GUN!"
* Just before that, there's the Bullet Farmer's ChewingTheScenery, waving his guns and yelling like a lunatic, and neither Max nor Furiosa even bother to acknowledge it.
** The newly-blinded Bullet Farmer's battle cry of "I am the scales of justice, conductor of the choir of death!" Then progressively reaching for larger and larger weapons to fire in the general vicinity of his enemies. ''They still don't care about what he's saying.'' Cheedo, for her part, is aghast: "Don't they know they're shooting at us [the remaining Wives]?!"
** How bad did it get? His death was a distant explosion, done offscreen by Max...
** Half-amusing [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic Half-awesome]], but his rant is framed by the opening section of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jBLyIQvNf0 Dies irae, Libera me]].
** Also funny in a somewhat twisted, somewhat heartwarming way is Max's IfIDoNotReturn moment with Furiosa before going to fight the Bullet Farmer: He tells her to keep the War Rig moving once the engine cools. She asks what to do if he isn't back by then. He stares at her for a few seconds, as if baffled that she was even thinking of waiting for him (or surprised that she thought he'd take that long) before bluntly telling her to leave without him in the same tone that one might use to say that the sky is blue.
* When Max finally catches up to the War Rig after the storm passes...to be greeted by the sight of scantily-clad women washing themselves off with a hose. He pauses for quite a while—brought up short ''not'' by the scantily-clad women, but by the water they're washing themselves with.
** An easily overlooked moment, but right before that Max is stumbling through the desert carrying Nux, his (useless) gun, and... the car door. It brings to mind an old joke about three travelers who get stranded, try to walk back to civilization, and the dumb one takes the car door so they can "roll down the window".
* Furiosa's utter NoSell of Max stealing the War Rig. While the Wives are quietly panicking, she just tells them "grab what you can and follow me." Because without knowing the failsafe starting sequence, Max is ''not'' going to get far.
* After managing to jack the War Rig from Furiosa, Max finds out that the thing stalls without the proper starting sequence. Cue Max kicking and smacking the pedals and dashboard for a good few seconds before Max glances out at the mirror and stops, waiting for Furiosa and the Wives to catch up. When they do, Furiosa tries to get him to take her and the Wives, to no avail. The third time, she says she'll get the mask off his face. He accepts.[[note]]A little {{Foreshadowing}} there; the ''other'' mask she gets off is Immortan Joe's.[[/note]]
** It's the way the music suddenly swells as he turns to look at her with a completely "over-it" expression that adds to it.
** The sight of Max trying to file the mask off is also chuckle-worthy. He looks like he's furiously scratching a itch on his back. Not to mention that when he keeps getting distracted from the task, the file is left stuck in the mask, sticking off the back of his head.
** And then his pleased expression when he finally gets it off (in the midst of an action scene, no less!).
* Max showing his smarts by finding ''almost'' [[ExtendedDisarming every single one of Furiosa's hidden weapons in the cab of the War Rig]]. It doesn't sound that funny on paper, but it's all in how Hardy acts out the sequence. Even then, he missed the knife hidden in the gearshift.
** The best is his "okay, so apparently we have this, too" expression on finding the flare gun.
*** And [[ChekhovsArmory it does come into play]] while escaping the Rock Riders, when Furiosa blinds a bomb-thrower with a flare, sending his payload into the fuel pod, and the fuel pod detaching from the Rig and exploding.
* As the War Rig enters the canyon, Furiosa asks Max for his name. Max, being...Max, brushes it off, leaving Furiosa with little choice but to call him "Fool". He shoots her an unimpressed look in response.
** And when the deal between her and the other gang falls apart, there's something humorous about Furiosa screaming "FOOOOOOL!" to tell Max to start moving the War Rig.
*** Which would explain why the trailer had Furiosa instead shouting "DRIIIIIIVE!" to Max.
** When Furiosa climbs back in, Max hands her one of the rifles he took from her at gunpoint just a while ago. She looks at him like she's asking "Really? You're handing me a gun?", and he shoots back a look that says "What? We're allies now" or "[[PragmaticHero You can use that right now; I can't]]". Or "I'm driving right now, if you really want to shoot me, go ahead, you'll deserve what happens next."
* The Dag putting her DeadpanSnarker skills to use.
-->'''Toast''': What are you doing?\
'''The Dag''': Praying.\
'''Toast''': To who?\
'''The Dag''': Anyone who's listening.
** Made all the more funny by the Keeper of the Seeds, who just grins when she hears this; the words "No one's listening, girl," are written all over her expression.
** To Max, after he offers up his [[CrazyEnoughToWork crazy plan]]: "I thought you weren't insane anymore!"
* There's something humorous too about Max's [[{{Understatement}} description]] of his plan to go back to the Citadel.
--> '''Max:''' Look...it'll be a hard day.
* During the final chase, Max sees Slit pull up in the Interceptor. The so far twitchy-but-stoic Max's response? Start shooting angrily and yelling "That's mine!" while maintaining an almost hilarious raspy voice.
** A few of the Wives are visible in this same shot, all glaring imperiously out the window with him, which gives the impression of them backing him up. Toast in particular looks like she's thinking, ''Ohhh, you guys are in for it now.''
** Hilariously, the War Boys have pimped out his car with oversized tires, flame spewing exhaust pipes and a crude layer of chrome. WordOfGod states that the car has been rechristened as Razor Cola.
** A few minutes later the Interceptor and the War Rig are in a sort of fight to see whose engines can be spiked more, and Slit is just cheerfully dangling sideways off the Interceptor between spurts.
* In the same vein, earlier in the film, Nux tells Max he can name his own reward. Max demands the return of his leather jacket.
-->'''Nux:''' [[ComicallyMissingThePoint You can ask for more than a jacket!]]
** For a brief moment it seems ''Nux'' is the saner of the two...
* After Max's OffscreenMomentOfAwesome taking out pursuers and returning with blood on his face (don't worry, it's not his), he dips his hand in what he thinks is a trough of water. After learning that it's really mother's milk, he shrugs and washes the blood off his face with it anyway.
** Before they realize Nux is there, Furiosa is working on freeing the rig from the mud. While distracted by the Bullet Farmer's spotlight, the rig lurches forward, revealing Max on the other side, also working to free it. They give each other the [[{{Beat}} briefest look]], then simultaneously burst off in pursuit, realizing that neither of them were driving it as the other assumed. You can even see Cheedo doing a DoubleTake between them.
* When the rig is stuck in the muck, Nux points off-screen and says they can use "that thing" to pull themselves out. The camera changes angle so we can see what he was talking about.
-->'''Capable:''' He means the tree.\
'''Nux:''' Yeah! Tree!\
''[later]''\
'''Nux''': I'm gonna use the winch! Around [[BuffySpeak the tree-thing]]!
* During the final chase, Max needs to boost the War-Rig's engine by spitting gasoline into the vent. The scene could have been very tense...if not for the fact that Max and Slit promptly start competing over who can spit the most gasoline into their respective engines.
** Made funnier because while Max has to first suck the gas into his mouth before spitting it into the War-Rig's engine, Slit has a bottle in hand to do the same but starts pouring the gas into his mouth and then both spitting and spraying the bottle into his engine.
* Nux treating Max like a pet:
-->'''Nux''': ''(ruffles Max's hair like he's a puppy)'' Glory be, Blood Bag!
* Also during the final chase, Max falls off the rig and has to be caught by Furiosa to keep him from going under the wheels. He's left dangling for some time looking scared out of his mind until Nux, of all people, gives him a solid kick that sends him onto the People Eater's vehicle.
* "I had a baby brother! I had a little baby brother! And he was perfect! Perfect in every way!"
** Really a case of BlackHumor that demonstrates how utterly ''twisted'' Immortan Joe's cult is;
--->"[[http://warandnoise.com/analysis_of_mad_max_return_to_humanism/ It elegantly captures the insanity of their pride, as if possession of even a dead person is an accomplishment that adds to one’s net worth, though he had no part in its creation.]]"
* Max watches as Nux [[SuicideAttack starts emptying all his fuel into the cab of his car, while spouting a weird, pseudo-religious rant.]]
-->'''Nux:''' Witness me, bloodbag!\
''(chromes up)''\
'''Nux:''' '''''[[LargeHam WITNEEEEEEEEESSSS!]]'''''\
''({{beat}}, before Max frantically tries to punch his way into the car)''
** And Max's subsequent grasping at the flare.
* A brief moment of BlackComedy: after Joe's corpse is torn to shreds by the inhabitants of the Citadel, his midget deformed son starts nervously eyeing all the War Pups surrounding him...
* When the Wives are meeting the Vuvalini one of them curiously reaches for the bandoleer of one of them and gets her hand promptly slapped away.
* As Max explains his plan to go back to the Citadel, the Keeper of the Seeds chimes in.
-->'''Keeper:''' Kaboom!
** And Max just points and smiles, like ''she knows what I'm talking about''. [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike And The Dag even does the "explosion" hand gesture with her]].
* The People Eater's delivery of the line: "Why are they going back?!" and Immortan's subsequent OhCrap when he realizes what's happening.
-->'''Immortan Joe:''' They're going back... To the Citadel! They know it's undefended!\
'''People Eater:''' Bullocks!
** The scene opens with Immortan Joe [[VillainsOutShopping humming a song]] through his mask in a hilariously bass voice that could rival Darth Vader, the kind of humming people do in the shower.
** The Doof Warrior is taking a nap, suspended on wires beneath the shoulders, with his feet resting on his guitar, which is also suspended. Like lying in a hammock, only he ''is'' the hammock.
* When Nux is gloating to Furiosa what Joe will do to her, she spits on him. He responds by spitting back.
* The entire scene where Nux sneaks into the War Rig, only to get tied up and pushed out by the Five Wives. Made funnier by the fact that he had cleverly tricked Max into leaving the vehicle and probably thought Furiosa would be easy pickings (since she's driving), only to be overpowered without Furiosa even touching him, as five untrained Wives easily subdue him.
** The icing on the cake has to be when Max slowly crawls back into the vehicle, perturbed by the commotion the Wives and Nux are making, and looks at Furiosa like, "Should we get involved?" and she looks at him like, "Nah, let 'em duke it out." It's almost reminiscent of two parents listening to their children squabbling in the back seat.
* It's quite literally blink-and-you'll miss it, but in the final battle, Rictus gets beaned in the back of the head by Max's thrown skull to get his attention. Rictus turns around... and Max gives an adorable little "Bring it!" [[BringIt gesture]], complete with an unbelievably goofy grin.
