[[caption-width-right:350:''"[[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe I hate this game.]]"'']]
* Spencer's EstablishingCharacterMoment, implied with his mother who is both [[MyBelovedSmother overprotective]] and too busy for him all at the same time. He rubs his hands with hand sanitizer, then slaps his face with some like it were an aftershave.
* Spencer/Bravestone's Smolder ability making both the girls gush, and annoying Fridge.
-->'''Spencer:''' Like it or not, ''(smolders)'' we have to do this together.\
'''Bethany:''' Could you... say that one more time please?\
'''Spencer:''' ''(normally)'' We have to do this together?\
'''Bethany:''' With the smolder, do you have control of that or... does it just happen naturally?\
'''Spencer:''' ''(smolders)'' It just happens naturally.
** There is no way this ability was not written with Dwayne Johnson personally in mind.
** Even better, this was confirmed by WordOfGod on the blu-ray commentary!
* One of Mouse's weaknesses is speed. In "The Mighty Roar" we see that even Bethany/Sheldon can outrun him - remembering Sheldon is played by Jack Black, notorious for playing pudgy and overweight characters.
-->'''Fridge:''' '''''WHY AM I RUNNIN' SO SLOW?!'''''
* Bethany having a video-chat with her friend, ''during a school quiz''. Naturally, it earns her detention.
** While Bethany argues with her teacher, her friend (who is still connected via video chat the whole time), has an expression that can only be described as a hand-less FacePalm.
** Earlier, her convoluted effort to take a "Waking up" selfie, completely staged - "Wow, she looks that good just climbing out of bed?"
* Martha explaining to her gym coach why she doesn't want to participate in gym class. She concludes her speech by saying she would rather not be so into sports [[DiggingYourselfDeeper that she ends up a gym coach]]. [[OhCrap When she realizes]] [[ThatCameOutWrong what she just said]], it's too late and her gym coach issues her detention.
* When Spencer and Fridge are caught for Fridge asking Spencer to do his essay (namely because both papers use the "spread like wildfire" allegory), Spencer nervously comments if it's getting hot in that room.
** The teacher also remarks that Spencer apparently uses the "spread like wildfire" metaphor in ALL of his papers (she lists multiple examples).
** Later in that scene, Spencer tries to convince the teacher and principal that it was his fault and that he made Fridge cheat (meaning Spencer ''forced'' the much larger Fridge to let him write Fridge's paper), and even Fridge gives him a look of "Seriously, dude?".
* During the Gym scene, Spencer is seen holding a ball, but then drops it and tries to catch it.
* While in detention, Fridge looks through various confiscated objects and wonders why anybody would bring a bowling ball to school.
* In detention, Spencer speaks to Martha but before he gets to the point of what he wants to say, he says that was watching her but also adds that he wasn’t watching her in a weird way. Fridge has a ‘yikes!’ expression on his face when he overhears this
** Fridge wondering why anybody would bring a bowling ball becomes a bit of a BrickJoke later when the bowling ball is what the kids use at the end of the film to 'destroy' the game.
* The group's interaction with Nigel Billingsley, who is an AI that just repeats and/or says what he's programmed to say to each character.
** Even funnier, this becomes a RunningGag for all the other NPC's in the game, leading to the group either looking on in confusion when the characters don't respond like normal people or getting quickly annoyed at the repeated dialogue.
* Bethany is at first horrified to be in the body of a man, especially when she has to pee. Fridge shows her how it works, and she becomes impressed with having a penis, excitedly commenting on how convenient it is.
-->'''Bethany:''' Ohmigod you guys, like, there is ''literally'' a penis attached to my body right now. Martha, come look at my penis!\
'''Martha:''' ''[offscreen]'' No thanks!
** Fridge pointing out that it's bad etiquette to actually ''look'' at another man's penis while pissing (Spencer is quick to agree with him), and Bethany being a bit confused.
** Throughout the scene, Spencer repeatedly emphasizes how important it is to aim when you're peeing.
--->'''Fridge:''' What is it with you and the aiming? What happened to you?\
'''Spencer:''' [[NoodleIncident Can we not talk about this in mixed company?]]
** After saving Alex (Nick Jonas) by transferring her second life to him, he hugs her gratefully, then walks away. Fridge then points out to Bethany that she's [[RagingStiffie visibly aroused]].
--->'''Bethany/Shelly:''' Oh my god, these things are CRAZY!
** Before Bethany returns to the real world, she looks down at her groin and says “Later, dude.”
* Spencer (being the first of the four to land in Jumanji) first remarks about how his hair is gone before realizing his huge muscles.
** Two words: [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Smoldering. Intensity.]]
** Becomes a RunningGag later, when Spencer uses it to the point that it's [[{{Narm}} cheesy]].
* Spencer complaining in the beginning that he doesn't have his Claritin as he's allergic to almost everything.
-->'''Fridge/Mouse:''' [[SarcasmMode Oh, no. You got allergies, Spencer? Huh?]] ''I don't have the top two feet of my body!''
* The RunningGag after they've ended up in the game of Fridge (and Bethany) incredulously asking Spencer (who has Bravestone's body at the time) if he really is Spencer. At one point, he's [[CowardlyLion spooked by a bird flying overhead]], and the group decides that's proof enough.
* As Nigel describes Dr. Bravestone's fame and how he's known across the seven continents for his courageous exploits, Spencer says this as he looks down at his seat.
--> '''Spencer:''' ''[in a worried tone]'' Is there a seatbelt?
* Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black do a particularly great job of acting like their [[PlayingAgainstType real-world counterparts]]; Johnson and Gillan as two nerds, Hart as a football jock, and Black as a teenage girl.
** Also counts as a meta-SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.
* Whenever Dr. Bravestone activates his "Smoldering Intensity". Bonus points for the subtitles reading the action out as, "Smoldering" or "Smolders".
* During "The Mighty Roar" level, Spencer tells Fridge to jump on his back because Fridge's avatar isn't fast enough to outrun Van Pelt's motorcycle minions. Fridge refuses, claiming he would rather die. It {{Gilligan Cut}}s to Fridge yelling at Spencer to put him down while riding on his back.
** When the group reaches the waterfall, Martha figures out that they need to jump in order to complete the level, so she and Bethany do so. Spencer is reluctant, so Fridge, who's still on his back, makes him jump by twisting his ear and causing him to lose balance.
* When the motorcycle goons first show up, Spencer dramatically shouts "Run!", then turns and discovers that the others took off running the ''second'' they saw the motorcycles.
-->'''Spencer:''' Wait! ''(Runs to catch up)''
* Fridge tries to push Spencer again after shoving him off the cliff to no avail and then goes with just slapping him. Unfazed, Spencer slaps Fridge and sends him ''flying''.
* Spencer and Martha, as Bravestone and Ruby, sharing a ''really'' awkward first kiss.
* One of Fridge's weaknesses is cake.
** Just the way it's executed: At the Bazaar, Bethany/Shelly eats some delicious 'bread' with relish and then shares some with Fridge/Mouse. Recognizing this bread tastes funny, the latter asks the vendor what kind of bread it is. The vendor comments "[[WhamLine That's my famous pound-cake.]]" Apparently, it's been ''so'' long since Bethany had cake or bread, she can't tell the difference, but in Jack Black's body it doesn't matter. The whole thing turns into an "ate something they were [[PlotAllergy allergic to]]" scenario. When nothing happens for a while, Fridge/Mouse figures that it must mean he just has a [[TrademarkFavoriteFood weakness]] for eating cake.... and then he '''''explodes'''''.
** Another weakness is ''strength''. Fridge, misunderstanding that it is a ''lack'' of strength or speed that is a weakness, asks how the heck that is supposed to make sense.
--->'''Fridge/Mouse:''' How is strength my weakness? Somebody explain that to me!
** There's also his priceless reaction as he looks at his own bio page (pictured above), and quickly notices that he's the only avatar to have more than one weakness:
--->'''Fridge/Mouse:''' I hate this game.
** In a moment of FridgeBrilliance, it is emulating the less than ideal instructions old games came with due to limited resources.
* It’s a bit funny how [[LargeHam Bethany]] yells to Fridge that he’s a lunatic for pushing Spencer off a cliff.
* During the scene where Fridge/Mouse accidentally ate pound cake, he asks Martha/Ruby if anything's happening to him, if he's breaking out, if he looks flushed, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking if he's still black]].
* Jumanji's signature drums are what signals the players that a new level is beginning. Their reactions to the drums go from scared to annoyed as the game progresses. At the final level...
-->'''Fridge:''' I hate those drums.
** When the kids return to the real world and hear the drums again at school, it cuts to Fridge smashing the game console with a bowling ball as the other three watch.
** StealthPun: Maybe Jumanji was holding the "IdiotBall" for inviting ''[[BullyingTheDragon teenagers]]'' to play it again.
** The fact that it's a literal and figurative SmashCut.
* During the mamba quest, as Spencer slowly approaches the basket, the Jumanji drums are playing and then he quickly turns back to his friends with his voice slightly pitched.
-->'''Spencer:''' I don't wanna do this!
** The quest itself is to detain a black mamba, Bethany thinks it's supposed to be a staring contest. Spencer asks who's good at staring and not blinking. Fridge begins to rapidly blink while Bethany volunteers herself.
* After meeting Alex, Spencer and Martha, having never tried alcohol before, are giddy about being able to drink margaritas. As soon as they taste it, both of them promptly spit it out and place their glasses down.
** And then Fridge drinks Spencer's glass. And everyone else's, to the point he's completely smashed.
** He completely denies being drunk, pointing out he's drunk far more with no issues... Except as the others are quick to point out, his current body is about half the size of his usual one.
* The group being confused by Alex's 90s jargon:
-->'''Alex/Seaplane:''' [Martha]'s not like, Creator/CindyCrawford fly, but for Jumanji, she the bomb.\
'''Bethany/Shelly:''' 'The bomb'?\
'''Fridge/Moose:''' Cindy Crawford? That’s your go-to?\
'''Fridge/Moose:''' I don’t know how to say this, but Cindy Crawford is like 50 years old.\
'''Spencer/Bravestone:''' ...But still fly.\
'''Fridge/Moose:''' Ehh.
* After giving Alex CPR, Spencer and Fridge notices something's rising with Bethany...
-->'''Bethany/Shelly:''' What are you looking at?\
'''Fridge/Moose:''' You got a situation.\
''[Bethany looks down and notices that she's... arousing.]''\
'''Bethany/Shelly:''' Oh my god these things are crazy!
* Martha has to seduce two guards so the rest can slip into the vehicle pool and steal transportation, but because she has no experience with men, Bethany has to give Martha a crash course on how to appear attractive to men. Both the training and the actual initial attempt make great use of Karen Gillan's physical comedy skills - and of course, Creator/JackBlack has to teach her, so he's flipping his hair and pouting a lot too.
** One of the lessons is to walk sexy. From the others' point of view, Martha looks like a glitchy ragdoll stumbling downhill.
** The plan gets derailed partially because the group forgot that the guards are [=NPCs=] and their limited AI means that they have ''no response'' to her attempts at flirting.
** When she goes to Spencer later, [[FunnyBackgroundEvent you can clearly see that she's attempting the sexy walk again.]]
** Her attempt at a deep, sultry voice is actually just Karen Gillan using her [[Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2014 Nebula]] voice.
* Martha/Ruby eventually beating up the guards, complete with SoundtrackDissonance (namely, [[Music/PeterFrampton "Baby, I Love Your Way"]]), everyone else watching in awe, and the guard tent collapsing after the fight. So, that was how she was meant to distract them.
-->'''Bethany/Shelly:''' She's kicking their ass! That's our girl! YES, QUEEN!
** Ruby's LimitBreak is to kick a bunch of ass, to literally the ''worst fighting music of all time''.
** Spencer runs out to go help Martha, stops to observe the asskicking with awe for a few moments, then decides to just leave her to it while he goes back inside.
* Most of Bethany's lines count as this; she's a teenage girl in the body of Jack Black, who sells every line with complete seriousness.
** When Spencer uses Bravestone's "smouldering intensity" (it seems to be great for persuading people) Bethany - still played by Jack Black - gushes repeatedly over how sexy it is. Martha/Ruby is also [[EatingTheEyeCandy visibly distracted by it]], but doing a somewhat better job of keeping it together.
** The RunningGag of Bethany/Shelly shamelessly EatingTheEyeCandy with Bravestone and Seaplane (again, it bears mentioning: Shelly is played by Jack Black, doing his level best impersonation of a teenage girl).
* Bravestone/Spencer uses Mouse/Fridge as a bait to get back the dropped jewel surrounded by rhinos. It counts as payback for before.
** Before that, everyone went ballistic at Mouse/Fridge for dropping the jewel and his excuses.
** Immediately after this, once the jewel is recovered and the level ends, everyone congratulates Alex (Seaplane) and Spencer (Bravestone) for their flying skills and bravery, respectively. While Martha and Bethany gush over them, Fridge stands off to the side giving them a "what the hell?" look because no one mentions cares that he had been sacrificed.
** When Fridge respawns and Spencer catches him, we get this priceless line from an angry Fridge: "You pushed me out the helicopter, jackass!"
** Which is then followed by the group uncomfortably listening to Fridge stoically describe how he's [[BrainBleach seen things under those rhinos that he can no longer unsee]], [[GagPenis things]] [[{{Squick}} that have even touched his face]].
*** At some point during Fridge's rant, the group start to gradually break out into laughter, and [[ActuallyPrettyFunny even Fridge]] can't help but admit in context, it sounds like TheComicallySerious.
** The fact that the main characters eventually start manipulating the gameplay mechanics, such as being able to respawn with the rest of the party to get past what should be a fatal obstacle, is both this and awesome.
* Spencer/Bravestone, whilst climbing their way through the trees, getting spooked by a squirrel, as though ''that'' were the scariest animal you could run into in '''Jumanji'''.
** The thought of ''Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson'' being spooked by a squirrel is funny in and of itself.
* Once the eye is returned and the game ends, the way for each player to be 'pulled' out of the game is by shaking Nigel's hand. Bethany says goodbye to the penis her avatar has before shaking; Fridge interrupts Nigel's default dialogue, dumps his huge backpack and grabs his hand because he wants to get the hell out of there.
* Bethany inviting her friend to go on a ''real'' nature hike with her, like it were a simple trip to the mall or something. Said-friend just looks at her incredulously.
** Even better is when said-friend's jaw drops when Bethany goes to talk to Spencer of all people.
** Not to mention that Bethany, previously so preoccupied with looking trendy on Instagram, is dressed ''just like Martha'' who cares more for practicality than fashion.
* There's some BlackComedy about how Creator/JackBlack, playing a ditzy 16-year-old girl, has a gun held to his head by the BigBad in a hilarious but classic example of the DamselInDistress trope.
* "... Because I don't have it!" Cut to... Fridge, riding an elephant, crashing through bushes, exclaiming "[[HeartIsAnAwesomePower ZOOLOGY,]] [[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch BITCH!]]"
* When the two action-oriented characters respawn and fall out of the sky, they make like cats and always land on their feet; with Bravestone hitting the ground with a powerful thud, and Ruby landing with effortless grace. The two support characters? Completely lacking any grace, landing in a tumbling heap.
* Alex/Seaplane mentions that one of the obstacles he had to face in the Transportation Shed level was [[NoodleIncident ORANGUTANS IN FIGHTER JETS]]. In the credits, when Mason Guccione's name is shown, we even get to see one.
* As Spencer/Bravestone's back is to the group, Bethany/Shelly takes in the view from behind and murmurs appreciatively, "Damn. That is a ''man'', right there." DescriptionCut to Spencer/Bravestone, a real-life nerd being raised by an overprotective mom, pep-talking himself. "[[MenDontCry Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry.]]"
