3	* Some characters like Alice, Halley, Anastasia, and Johnny have rather low SP, while some characters like the vampires have ridiculously high SP. FridgeBrilliance because the vampires are used to seeing supernatural things, have lived longer, and are thus desensitized; whereas the others have been relatively sheltered. Naturally, SP Growth reflects that they grow "Desensitized" as they become used to seeing these creatures and fighting them. The Harmonixers always have high SP because that power threatens to drive them insane so they have to get used to it.
4	* An interesting thing to note is that everyone has only three attacks in Shadow Hearts - but Yuri (the only returning party member) starts with three attacks.

6	* Halley's psychic powers have a rather high cost, because he's inexperienced and it drains him. He's not had any real formal training from Koudelka, and likewise his tantrums are him trying to replicate the conditions of when he first invoked them. The earlier powers are the ones he's the most experienced using.
7	* As we find out from Koudelka (in the manga), Roger and Albert, the Emigre' manuscript's use as an ArtifactOfDoom is only it's most limited function. If you are not blindsided by the promise of power and instead take a more philosophical view of life you will instead realize that the book is a solid method of deciphering God's plan A.K.A. reality it-self, leading to ''a '''lot''''' more you can do with it than use simple spells.
8	** Roger himself has comprehended reality which is why there is NoFourthWall for him, he knows his reality is a video-game and he can see you!
9	** This taken to it's logical extreme would also mean this is why Albert has no delusions of being anything other than a villain, he knows BigBad is his assigned role.
10	* It seems like it would have been pretty useful if [[SquishyWizard Alice and Zhuzhen]] waited for Margarete to join them when checking out the monster infested town of Bistritz, even when [[spoiler: the person asking for their help was killed.]] But remember what Terry said? ''Bullets don't work on them''. [[TheGunslinger Margerete]] wouldn't have been much help anyway.

12	* The village that Karen is investigating has very odd random encounters: killer toys like pull-string lions, duckies and so on. It makes more sense when you realize one of the party members you get later on is Gepetto. The game never says it outright but he probably was controlling all those toys to defend the village.
13	* Anastasia's SummonMagic operates through a camera and pictures; and she can't use the SummonMagic until she attains the proper picture. Some people used to believe that cameras would steal your soul.
14	* In the Gallery of the Dead, Yuri has some difficulty reading the Cyrillic characters on the gates and levers, and Anastasia corrects him. [[spoiler:This is an early clue that Yuri isn't half-Russian; he's actually half-German, since Karin is actually his mother.]]
15	* After they've been forced to leave Russia, Anastasia has some false identity papers made up for Karin, because as a German she would cause issues for them when it came to border crossings. Karin's new name is 'Anne' and her false papers state that she's Russian. [[spoiler: When Karin is sent back in time to meet Yuri's father, she, of course, has these papers on her person. It's heavily implied that Karin lost her memories, so naturally even she would have assumed that she was Anne. And of course, we know that Yuri's mother was called Anne and was apparently Russian. The German Karin essentially ended up becoming the Russian Anne just from Anastasia's false papers.]]
16	* Yuri once teasingly mentions that his mother 'probably named him after an ex-boyfriend'. [[spoiler: While the boyfriend part is debatable, given that Karin ends up becoming Yuri's mother, she ''did'' end up naming him after her first love; whether intentionally or not.]]
17	* Yuri's full name, while given a storyline explanation with his mixed ancestry, edges dangerously close to AsLongAsItSoundsForeign in English, and edges close to nonsense (Urmnaf "Uru" Bort Hyuga) in Japanese. Especially if you know anything about how Russian middle names work. [[spoiler: Well, of course it was - he was named by his "Russian" mother who wanted to name him something Russian-sounding but didn't really know how because she didn't know any Russian, given that she was an amnesiac woman from Germany.]]

19	* All of Hilda's Magical Arts are one level easier to cast (they have one less Green hit area than normal). It becomes logical once you realize that it is because she is a few-century old vampire with so much experience. Unlike Joachim, who learns his attacks fresh, Hilda is both an expert mage and creates these attacks herself, allowing for smoother and easier casts. This applying moreso to her offensive spells though.
20	* Johnny is the only party member in any game able to channel Malice in battle. [[spoiler: It comes naturally to him as his body is the same as Lady's, so both are basically monsters. The only difference is that she lost her soul.]]

25	* This is a pretty Crapsack (later Crapsaccharine) world, actually. You could kill monsters, but their Malice may come back and haunt you. Nicolai unleashed a ''shitton'' of Malice on the world at once, resulting in a lot of other monsters. Its influence also turned World War I even more violent and bloody.
26	** Heck, consider the state of this world in the first place... that's FridgeHorror enough.
27	** To underline just how little good is left in this world, the first Shadow Hearts game revealed that [[spoiler:God Himself is not a benevolent creator, but an alien abomination that wants to destroy all of humanity. And you kill Him. What this says about the state of the afterlife and all of existence is very troubling.]]
28	* What if Yuri's not the only one who has the malice of monsters manifest itself?

30	* Imagine for a second how Alice feels in the canonical ending... she knows she doesn't have much time left.

32	* Consider what was ''going'' to happen to Anastasia and her brother...and consider that they were ''around that age in real life'' when this was unfolding. But you can [[SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel rest easily]] - knowing that '''A)''' the ending applies Kurando and Anastasia got together (And maybe Anastasia moved to Japan) and '''B)''' The timeline was possibly altered a lot, not just because of the StableTimeLoop but also because you go in and rescue the Romanov family.
33	* You know that island where you fight that cat monster? You're not the first to go there... Lucia and her master have been targeted by Sapientes Glado numerous times.
34	* Karin has a pretty depressing fate no matter how you spin it. [[spoiler:Ben Hyuga will end up as her SecondLove and Yuri will be her son, but she has only a few short years before she meets her violent end. She also loses her memory in the process, suffering the very fate Yuri himself was trying to avoid throughout Covenant.]]
35	* The StableTimeLoop adds new horror to an already horrible scene when Yuri is reciting watching his mother die with him in her arms... PleaseWakeUp [[spoiler: Karin]]!
36	* You last see Margarete A.K.A. Mata Hari, in France in 1916, completing the ChainOfDeals to get her [[TheCameo cameo]] by giving her the file that will apparently be of great use to her nation... Mata Hari was executed in France in 1917 after she was caught moving on some very blatant national secrets... You may well have initiated Margarete's untimely death shortly after the events of the game [[spoiler: if the timeline change didn't alter her fate]].
37	!!Shadow Hearts: From The New World
38	* One of the monsters you face in the late-stretch of the game is Alyosh. Its entry reads, ''Embodiment of the resentment felt by those who died unfair deaths. Hates being stared at in terror or amazement. Scoops out the eyeballs of offending gawkers.'' [[spoiler: Alyosh probably wasn't born from general Malice but the one that sprung from Grace and Johnny when they died in the car accident.]] This implies that they not only lived for a bit before succumbing to their injuries, but people were also gawking at their suffering and didn't help them.
