* I was thinking back to Marvin the Martian's motivation to blow up the Earth. He said it, "...Obstructs my view of Venus." Then I thought of the connection between Mars and Venus, namely, the old phrase "Men are from Mars, women are from Venus." He just wants to peep.
** Then again, in WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow, Marvin's FreudianExcuse for wanting to destroy the earth was [[WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds due to his bad experiences in in high-school]], so it seems that he just wants to find '''any''' excuse to destroy it.
* I thinking about Daffy gets shot so many times with relatively little problems. I always figured "its just a cartoon". However it is revealed in the beginning of this cartoon that Daffy actually wears a bulletproof vest.
** If this is talking about what I think it is then it's shown that the bulletproof vest only protects itself, but doesn't actually protect the person wearing it.
** You're thinking of the "Duck Dodgers" short. The above link does not work, but I assume it was referring to the short "To Duck Or Not To Duck", where early in the short, Daffy shows to Elmer a bullet-proof vest he's wearing. Daffy is also briefly seen wearing a bullet-proof vest in "The Stupor Salesman", as one of the ''many'' products he's trying to sell (he dons it after the criminal he's pestering starts shooting at him).
* The reason Daffy is never applaused? Many cartoons he attempts to steal the show are all star features with past characters in the audience, many of which have been victimized by his screwy antics in the past. Why would they ever wish to praise "that crazy duck"?
** Utilized in-universe in "Bugs and Daffy's Carnival Of Animals"; Daffy leaves the stage to his usual cricket chirps before examining the audience; all of them Bugs-esque rabbits.
** Also in ''The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie'', where Daffy spends the entire ceremony heckling other nominees and acting like a rude EntitledBastard to everyone. Even before he steps foot on stage, many irritated audience members are vocal that they're ''sick'' of Daffy.
** A consistency is while the audience don't find Daffy's performances remotely entertaining, they find his pain and humiliation ''very'' entertaining. The audience in "Show Biz Bugs" only applaud with his final act where he literally ''kills'' himself, and J.B. Cupish in "Daffy Dilly" only laughs when Daffy makes a fool of himself. Looney Tunes creators such as Chuck Jones specifically retooled Daffy into a ButtMonkey because they found his former {{Troll}} archetype obnoxious. In other words, they found Daffy far less applause-worthy as a performer than a punching bag.
* In some shorts ("Hot Cross Bunny", "Forward March Hare") Bugs is shown to have very keen eyesight. Why? It's never explained, but it probably has something to do with him eating nothing but carrots. An episode of "The Bugs Bunny Show" directly lampshades this though.
* Bugs' New Yorker accent (and having been born in New York). [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coney_Island#Etymology Coney Island literally means "Rabbit Island"]], named for the huge rabbit populations the Dutch found when they got there.
* Why is Marvin the Martian dressed like a Roman centurion? Because Mars was named after the Roman god of war.
* Why don't Roadrunner and Coyote just use their real scientific names? Because given that Roadrunner has an InformedSpecies to begin with, and Coyote is so heavily anthropomorphized, they probably are entirely different species to their real life counterparts.
** Ironically, the taxonomic name for coyotes (''Canis latrans'') translates as "noisy dog" and the Coyote is famous for rarely making a sound.
* Coyote wants to eat the Roadrunner, right? So why does he constantly make plans to catch the Roadrunner that will result in the meat being somehow ruined (methods used include getting the Roadrunner squished by a rock or blown to bits, and at one point, he orders the robot he made to eat the Roadrunner, instead of doing it himself)? Rule number 3 for the cartoons was "The Coyote could stop at any time- ''if'' he was not a fanatic". The rule then quotes George Santayana that "a fanatic is one who redoubles his efforts when he's forgotten his aim." The Coyote has forgotten ''his'' aim: to get a good meal. Now he's totally focused on catching the Roadrunner, and [[DidntThinkThisThrough doesn't know what he'd do if he actually caught his prey]].
* Another one about Coyote. Many viewers were surprised when he revealed he can talk while trying to catch and eat Bugs Bunny. So why doesn't he talk when trying to catch the Roadrunner? Because being a "Super Genius" Coyote knows that the Roadrunner doesn't speak English, so why waste time talking?
* Who is faster -- Speedy Gonzales or the Road Runner? Sure, Speedy was slightly ahead as they approached the finish line in "The Wild Chase," but since we never actually saw them cross the finish line, we can't be sure who won, right...? Not exactly. Speedy is much smaller than the Road Runner -- the bigger you are, the more distance you can cover. For example, honeybees can fly as fast as humans can run, but a honeybee would never have a chance of beating a human in a race because, even though we move at the same speed, humans, being so much bigger, can cover the same distance in a shorter amount of time. But despite his much smaller size, Speedy is able to keep up with or get slightly ahead of the Road Runner the entire race -- to do this, he ''must'' be moving at a faster speed. Speedy Gonzales is indeed not only the fastest mouse in all Mexico but, within the ''Looney Tunes'' universe, the fastest thing alive!
* Elmer Fudd is a hunter but is honestly terrified whenever he thinks he killed Bugs. Considering how Daffy lives through being shot, it's no wonder Elmer expects Bugs to live through it as well.
* What is the note that triggers the bomb in those "Endearing Young Charms" bomb jokes? [[StealthPun A C4.]]
* In "Baby Buggy Bunny", Bugs takes in the midget bank robber Finster (falling for his ruse that he's an abandoned baby) on a moment's notice. Turns out he not only has his old cradle from when he was a baby (you can see "Baby Buggsy" printed on it) but also a playpen, a highchair, and a toybox, presumably also from his own childhood. If he's hung on to all these even after he grew up...could it be that our Bugs has always dreamed of being a father one day? (And, given the way he nurtures Finster before he finds out the truth about him, he'd be a darned good one!)
* In "Barbary Coast Bunny" Nasty Canasta is portrayed as a total contrast from his "Drip Along Daffy" self, devolved from a terrifying hulking brute to a conniving fat oaf. In that cartoon he was against Bugs Bunny. From [[StrawLoser Daffy's]] perspective, Canasta was an unstoppable menace, from [[BornWinner Bugs']], he's just another bumbling jerk.
* In "Little Red Riding Rabbit" unlike in the original tale, the wolf was not interested in the slightest in Little Red Riding Hood, instead trying to eat Bugs Bunny alone. In real life wolves rarely eat humans (only if they are starving and have no other option) but eat rabbits all the time.

[[AC:FridgeHorror]]
* One ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' short had Bugs pull out a book called "100 Ways to Cook a Duck" and reading from it to encourage Elmer to shoot Daffy instead of him. Daffy responds by pulling out a book called "100 Ways to Cook a Rabbit". It gets creepy when you realize Daffy pulled it ''from Bugs' rabbit hole''. In short, Bugs has a book about [[IAmAHumanitarian cooking his own kind]]...
** He could just be reading it to plan his BatmanGambit should the need ever arise.
** And then the next level of realization kicks in: not only was the book there, but Daffy ''knew'' the book was there.
** And here's another from that same short: in response to this, Elmer says he's a vegetarian, and only hunts for the sport of it. Now think about it: how evil does that make Elmer? In the real world, hunting for sport is common, but the difference here is that the animals are sentient. In short, Elmer's idea of fun is to go around killing self-aware creatures for no reason than ForTheLulz. Yosemite Sam and Rocky and Muggsy at least have greed as a motive, but Elmer may just be the most evil of the lot.
** If we're going to use that line of thinking, ''Porky'' is the most evil, since he, too, went hunting in the old shorts and even gunned down his pal Daffy. ''And he's an animal.''
** Well in some cartoons Daffy and Porky are pals, in others they are adversaries. Daffy and Porky aren't pals in cartoons where Porky is a hunter.
*** And while Porky is technically a pig, he never ''plays'' a pig; he's always a besnouted pantsless man.
*** From that definition, Elmer Fudd is a serial killer... just a very, very bad one.
*** He's not a killer; in the hunting trilogy he shot Daffy repeatedly and Daffy didn't die. Which leads us, of course, to the conclusion that he's a serial sadist who deliberately has his guns manufactured to cause as much pain as possible without dispatching the victim.
*** As shown in "What's Opera, Doc?" he has no intention of actually killing anyone. In fact, it seems his bullets are totally painless-not once has Daffy (or any other Looney Tune for that matter) shown any sign that being shot actually ''hurts'' them. It seems shooting people (or talking animals) in the Looney Tunes verse is more just bad etiquette rather than anything actually serious.
* In "Claws for Alarm", it's heavily implied that the evil mice ''killed all the town's previous residents''.
* The Road Runner shorts usually saddle Wile E. Coyote with the "Predators are Mean" variant of CarnivoreConfusion. But, real roadrunners are also carnivorous.
** Well, real road runners look and act significantly different from the Road Runner.
** Well, actually roadrunners in real life are omnivorous. Plus, their diet mostly includes invertebrates, rodents and small reptiles, so this thought is more or less NightmareRetardant.
* In "Show Biz Bugs", Daffy said that his final act was being saved for a "special occasion". That involved ''drinking gasoline, nitroglycerin, gunpowder and a match, and'' '''''blowing himself up!''''' Gee I wonder what was that [[DrivenToSuicide "special occasion"]].
** He probably thought cartoon physics would save him from actually dying.
** Keep in mind this was the one act that got Daffy ruptures of applause. Either that was one impressive trick In-Universe or Daffy is tending to an audience that hate him [[AndThereWasMuchRejoicing THAT much]].
*** This is much more on-the-nose in ''The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie'' where Daffy's ghost actually briefly descends to bow to the audience. They immediately stop applauding until he leaves again, making perfectly clear there's no ambiguity ''what'' they are cheering for (granted Daffy ''was'' being a {{Jerkass}} to them the entire movie so it's less surprising).
* After UsefulNotes/WorldWarII, it took time for the US to demobilize, which means that the Gremlins from the Kremlin might have harassed Bugs Bunny as the EnemyMine between the US and Stalin ended. And Bugs could not even hold his own against one freelance gremlin.
* The Three Bears are a font of this, since their entire schtick is playing DomesticAbuse ''for laughs''. While later appearances [[LighterAndSofter took the edges off]], their debut episode (''"Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears"''') is rife with Fridge Horror despite being only seven minutes long. Papa Bear is a [[TheNapoleon small]], [[IneffectualSympatheticVillain ineffectual]] and [[HairTriggerTemper angry]], the son is a [[MinionWithAnFInEvil sweet-tempered]] giant on the receiving end of his father's constant DopeSlap, and Mama Bear (notably ''lacking'' [[MamaBear the standard trait]]) is an ExtremeDoormat (until Bugs awakens her MrsRobinson side by flirting with her. Bad enough, perhaps... until you start to think about it.
** Papa Bear has ''way'' too many real-life domestic abuser traits: notably being an utter [[ItsAllAboutMe self-obsessed]] ControlFreak who demands his wife and son instantly cater to his whims, despite their shortcomings and his failure to explain himself. Finally, ''he tries to establish that HE is the victim'', justifying his abuse by pointing to how dumb his family is. [[{{Jerkass}} Asshole much]]?
** Baby Bear... is he even a baby? There are ''way'' too many ways that growing up in an abusive environment can hurt a child mentally and physically. Is his size meant to indicate that he's actually [[ManChild a full-grown adult who was so emotionally stunted that he never left infancy]]?
*** It was revealed in one short that Baby bear is 7 years old. Though I don't know if he was referring to human years or bear years. It's also unknown if bears age the same as humans do in this universe.
** Mama Bear arguably get his with this the worst - utterly passive and under her husband's control. She doesn't complain that she (like the rest of her family) is presumably starving, doesn't argue against her husband's incredibly stupid idea (and unlike her son, would presumably have the brains to realize just how dumb it was) and her lines are initially timid and halting like's she's afraid to mess up. All it takes to get her to stand up for herself is for [[TheTrickster a random stranger]], who ''she'd been planning on eating seconds before'', to tell her she's beautiful and kiss her, after which she [[AbhorrentAdmirer showers said stranger with very unwanted affection]]. Her phrasing even suggests that it's not Bugs himself that's drawn her eye, but the fact that he made her feel special, which, given her reaction, ''[[TheWoobie no one has done in years, if ever]]''. The sheer amount of energy and personality she suddenly exudes (even if lavished on the wrong party) is [[TearJerker almost heartbreaking]].
* In line with this, some of the HenpeckedHusband cartoons are astonishingly unrestrained in their DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale. "WesternAnimation/LifeWithFeathers" has a bird violently tormented by his wife to point of desperately attempting suicide! Meanwhile "WesternAnimation/HisBitterHalf" (and it's remake "WesternAnimation/HoneysMoney") have a wealthy widow play nice with a money hungry suitor... and then turn into a violent ballbuster the moment the wedding vows are done. In the first short, the son even makes Aside Glances anticipating Daffy's abuse, like he's seen it a million times before. Just how were they ''widowed'' precisely?
* The ending of "A Mouse Divided", where Sylvester gets captured by the stork and mistaken as the baby mouse. Remember that Sylvester was protecting said baby mouse from the neighbourhood cats? With him gone, things don't look too well for that poor little mouse.
* With his stench greatly exaggerated to the point it can make plants outright ''die'' and cause collateral damage to artwork, Pepe Le Pew could be either hunted down by a decontamination service or easily used as a bioweapon.
* In "Often an Orphan", Porky Pig is a farmer who is harassed by Charlie Dog, who wants to be adopted. At one point, Charlie shows up at Porky's door holding a chicken under one arm and a pig under the other, saying, "Whadya say we have some ham and eggs?" It's not until you go to the fridge that you begin to wonder: Porky Pig raises ''pigs'' on his farm?? Does that make him a cannibal?
* In "Racketeer Rabbit", Rocky tells Hugo to take Bugs "for a ride", gangster slang for murder. BUGS is the only one who returns and when Rocky asks, "Did you get rid of him?", what does Bugs say? "Yeah, he won't bother us anymore." Hugo isn't seen or mentioned for the rest of the cartoon. Granted, had Bugs actually killed him, it would've been in self-defense but still. Also, he shot someone just for coughing, who’s to say he won't to save his own skin?

[[AC:Fridge Logic]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/CheeseChasers'', Hubie and Bertie O.D. on cheese, and feeling nothing left to live for as they can no longer stand cheese want Claude Cat to eat them. Claude gets traumatized in turn and wants Marc Antony to massacre him. None of the antagonists bother to explain ''why'' they want to be eaten/beaten up, and Marc Antony can only deduce, "It just don't add up!!" He goes running for the dog catcher.
** Sylvester has this problem in "WesternAnimation/LifeWithFeathers". The lovebird never tells Sylvester ''why'' he wants him to eat him.
** Both of these episodes (and any other cartoon episode like them) could have been over almost instantly, if the suicidal character had just kept the fact that they wanted to die to themselves; using ''WesternAnimation/CheeseChasers'' as an example, the biggest mistake the mice made was telling Claude they wanted him to eat them, when he was perfectly willing to do just that a second a go.
