[[folder:FridgeBrilliance]]
* How do the Mayship stops if May has the anchor? Because the Mayship is an airship, it doesn't need an anchor. Plus, May carries a different anchor than the one her ship has.
* After Sol steals the Fireseal from the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, he doesn't even show even a hint of guilt at Ky's anger regarding the theft, or even an attempt to explain to Ky that he needs it to kill Justice. This is because Sol actually spent '''decades''' creating it along with all the Outrage pieces like Ky's Thunderseal to combat Gears in the first place. Or in simpler terms: he owns them and from his perspective, he doesn't have to give a singular shit about anyone claiming he doesn't deserve to use the Outrage weapons, let alone some holier-than-thou crusader that's not even half his age and trying to use ''his work'' to essentially mug him for the Fireseal. In all reality, it's the other way around: ''everyone else'' stole his work and/or used it without his permission, such as the Holy Knights appropriating the Fireseal and the Thunderseal and treating it as their holy relics, and Anji Mito with Zessen.
* Gears and their stuff:
** How come Gears are created to grow fast that they become teenage lookalikes at 3 years old? Gears are treated as objects, specifically as weapons and their research and development was focused entirely on military matters. If they need whole 18 years to mature then it wouldn't be practical to create them at the first place.
** Command type Gears being female, passing their powers to their daughters and being the mothers of {{half human hybrid}}s. In real science, mothers pass mitochondrial DNA to their daughters only. This could explain the reason why Sin is more like his father than his mother. And Gear mothers are more suitable than human mothers in cross-breeding, since human mothers cannot sustain abnormal fetuses that can probably summon a magical fireball inside the uterus.
* Ky and Dizzy's relationship. Though some thought of this as a RomanticPlotTumor or an example of ShipsThatPassInTheNight it seems that it isn't the case:
** Ky loves smiling faces, as stated by his profile. Dizzy has a beautiful smile that Potemkin describes as something you cannot capture in a painting. Awwww...
** Ky's favorite word is "hope." That Man calls Dizzy the "hope of the world beyond my expectations." And the end of ''REVELATOR''[='=]s Story Mode has her taking a key role in saving the world, leading to her LovedByAll status by the time ''[=REV2=]'' "After Story" stories take place.
** Ky is Kliff's successor. Dizzy is Justice's backup/daughter. [[TheRival Kliff and Justice were rivals, and so were Ky and Dizzy's father Sol.]]
* Faust randomly appears in different places like when he heals Josephine in the Grove, and he heals Marina in the novel. [[BeyondTheImpossible He swims in concrete,]] travels by a flying umbrella and most importantly, [[TeleportSpam he teleports through a door that opens in midair]]. With his capabilities, showing up in random locations is just par for the course.
* Bridget getting recruited by Jam as her server. Jam had always wanted to recruit a blond, beautiful, blue and white clothed boy to serve her, and she has consistently failed to force Ky to do so. She gets someone that fits her criteria in this ending, even if it's not who she originally had in mind.
* In the ''Guilty Gear X'' anime trailer, the captions ask "why do you fight?" Before Sol, the word "Justice" appears and before Dizzy, "Sin" appears. If this is intentional, that would've been a ''deep'' cut, showing that [[EarlyBirdCameo Sin as a character was planned for years ahead of]] ''[[VideoGame/GuiltyGear2Overture Overture]]''.
* At first, the abilities of [[CastingAShadow Zato]], [[PrehensileHair Millia]], [[ImprobableWeaponUser Venom]], and [[GoodOldFisticuffs Slayer]] seem like pure RuleOfCool... but then it hits you: they have those powers ''because they're assassins''. They're armed and ready to fight at all times, while remaining completely inconspicuous. It's not like normal enemies would be suspicious of someone's ''hair'' or their own shadows, after all.
* One of Ky's notable visual features is his belt buckle, which has the word "HOPE" inscribed on it. And in the ''XX'' drama CD, the event of Ky's death in the alternate timeline is referred to as "the day the hope of the world crumbled". To ordinary people, Ky's the HopeBringer of the late- and post-Crusades period who managed to save society from Justice and the Gears, so it's no wonder that hope is such a motif for him.
* The input for Dizzy's Instant Kill move in the ''XX'' series is obnoxious, compared to the simpler inputs of everyone else. Fitting, since she believes in pacifism. As for why it's simpler to do in the ''Xrd'' series, it's not ''her'' initiating the Instant Kill, but the very temperamental Necro who has willingly tried to kill any threats to Dizzy (real or imagined). Even then, she still manages to stop the opponent getting vaporized (coincidentally causing them to surrender).
* Ky never seems to age. He also has to wear his hair longer than he used to, since it keeps growing back faster than he can cut it. As revealed in the climax of ''Xrd -SIGN-'', him being at least part-Gear might have something to do with that. His shorter hair in ''-STRIVE-'' may be a sign of him becoming more accustomed to his true nature and becoming used to its unique traits.
* No wonder Bedman's a MotorMouth; when he's fighting in the real world, he obviously can't do any trash-talking since he's in a coma. His rambling in places where he ''can'' talk [[IShallTauntYou make up for that]].
* Chipp's usage of glasses from ''Xrd'' onward. While it does help with the whole "Presidential" look he's going for, it is also incredibly common for people with albinism to have vision problems due to a lack of melanin in the eyes. He's also having to deal with a ''lot'' more paperwork than he used to, back when he was a solo ninja doing his own thing.
* All of the character themes in ''Strive'' are done in ImageSong format, describing what each character desires most in some form. The desires of mankind are a major theme in the game's story mode.
* You might be wondering, after all this time, why ''XX'' is still considered a GaidenGame and is usually not mentioned in regards to the overall lore of the story. As hinted in ''Xrd'' and revealed in ''Strive'', I-No is a being of pure information who has existed in multiple timelines. All of the possible outcomes of ''XX'' are alternative timelines she has seen, yet never been able to fully manifest in. Essentially, they are all her dreams of finally being able to exist.
* Ramlethal developing an apparent infatuation with Leo come ''Strive'' seems completely out of left field, but there is actually one point of comparison between the two: their AnimalMotifs. Leo is blatantly associated with lions, and while Ramlethal isn't as overt with her cat motif, she does exhibit some feline characteristics in her designs and during some of her animations. In that sense, it might be more thematically appropriate to describe Ramlethal's idolizing of Leo as like a cat looking up to a lion.
* Sol having just the right weapon to take down god I-No because making god-killing weapons is his hobby may seem like a flimsy excuse to make up for having lost his power before facing her. However, recall that, at the start of ''-Strive-'' at least, Sol is undoubtedly one of the most powerful Gears in the world, and worse, as Asuka confirms later, his power is ''still growing'', threatening to overcome the PowerLimiter he has been wearing all this time, even if it hadn't taken damage over the course of the series. In other words, Sol is slowly but certainly growing to become ''godlike'' in power, but violent and dangerous to the world, including people he has come to care about. For him to create a god-killing weapon is thus something of a last resort: When/if he truly succumbs to his destructive Gear nature, that weapon he leaves behind can help his friends to [[MercyKill put him out of his misery]].
* Dizzy's worries of being accepted at the end of ''REVELATOR'' have deeper roots than her Gear status: Sister Ramlethal begins ''SIGN'' as an OmnicidalManiac who declares to the whole world that she is going to destroy it, her other Sister Elphelt was also designed to be a PersonOfMassDestruction, Father Sol created the Gears and was involved in the Crusades, Mother Aria/Justice was brainwashed into ''the'' first PersonOfMassDestruction of a long line, Husband Ky was also a Crusader and had an illegitimate son with her... and finally Illegitimate Son Sin has a lot of untapped potential to become a PersonOfMassDestruction like his mother and was bounty-hunting with the aforementioned Sol. The fact that all of the members (mostly) look out for each other after the events of ''REVELATOR'' instead of going [[VideoGame/{{Tekken}} full Mishima]] speaks volumes about how well things went between them.
* The lack of [[FinishingMove Instant Kills]] in ''Strive'' can be related to the newfound peace after the events of ''Xrd''. Several of the playable characters are absent on the Story Mode, while, when all is said and done, Ky and family moved onto a more pacific life and Sol is finally able to move on from his grief and settle down with Jack-O, among other examples. There's no need anymore for bloodshed and former enemies now duke it out for friendly sparring rather than to kill the other dude, and they don't see the need to go all out pursuing revenge or whatever else previously motivated them during Instant Kills. It took several decades and lots of losses, but every living character [[EarnYourHappyEnding earned their happy ending]].
* A possible reason for why Ky being ''the only person'' who didn't cry when I-No became "God" in ''-STRIVE-'' is because he ''already'' has his "brighter future" in the form of his family: Dizzy, Sin, Ramlethal, Elphelt, and charitably Sol and Jack-O'.
* One of Bridget's win quotes in ''-STRIVE-'' has her state that she doesn't want any photos, but she can give out autographs. It's possible that her dysphoria is so strong that she doesn't even want to look at herself in photographs and she doesn't want others to have her image either.

* Assassin's Guild recruitment: [[RippedFromTheHeadlines they take in orphans... from the Holy War]].
* Acquiring the Forbidden Beast. It's stated that it requires you to sacrifice what you treasure most. Zato lost his eyesight and it is unknown what Millia lost, though it's heavily implied to be her ability to bear children. Then what if you love your GagPenis? [[NightmareFuel Then it will probably be cut off.]]
* I-No's time trolling. '''She can go back to the past as many times as she want and change ANYTHING.''' She practically controlled reality and to make things better, making all the characters look like {{Ungrateful Bastard}}s whenever they fight her.
** If it weren't for Ky attempting to save I-No while she idly watched him with amusement, he wouldn't have died, and the alternate timeline wouldn't have fallen into disarray. That arguably makes things more frightening.
* In ''Xrd'', I-No's stage, "Babylon in five years", is a deserted ghost town devoid of color. At first, one would think that the name refers to the passing of time between XX and Xrd. However, I-No is also capable of travelling through time and taking others with her, and as shown in ''Xrd -SIGN-'', Babylon's inhabitants got annihilated at the end of Sol and Ky's arcade mode.
* According to Dizzy's Instant Kill in ''Xrd -REVELATOR-'', her power is capable of ''causing an explosion on level with a nuclear bomb.'' Necro fires a deadly ball of energy at the opponent, in which Dizzy narrowly stops by tackling Necro. Thankfully it narrowly misses the opponent, but this near-death experience makes the opponent [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere give up the fight on the spot]] (even immortal and MadeOfIron characters like Sol, Slayer and I-No are visibly spooked by the magnitude of the blast). Now imagine Necro suddenly losing his shit in a heavily populated area.
* Chipp's [[IdiotHero lack of intelligence]] is often PlayedForLaughs. But considering his severe drug addiction in the past, it's entirely possible that it left him with a mild degree of brain damage even after he went clean.
** Alternatively, considering the fact that he grew up as an inner-city orphan, it's very much possible that he's never gone to school or received any decent education.
** Adverse drug effects don't stop with just brain damage; virtually any part of your body can be affected depending on the kind of drug that's used, which can result in things like a compromised immune system and an overall lower life expectancy. Now remember that Chipp is infamous for having [[FragileSpeedster low health and defenses]]...

* How can I-No remove her top in her winpose? You can see her pulling her choker and then everything, including her sleeves get removed in one pull.
** RuleOfSexy. It doesn't matter how she does it, [[MaleGaze as long as we see her topless.]]
* May summons dolphins and whales, though the Jellyfish pirates actually travel on air.
** Again on May, her IK has everyone of her female friends joining her including Dizzy. Setting a mirror match aside, Dizzy can be seen flying along with the crew even if she's your opponent.
* Story modes in general. The first stage you're in China, then to London, then to Hell, then to Paris...
* [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment Sol's bad ending]] in ''Accent Core''. In both endings, he is transported back in time by I-No where he fought his younger self, Ordel Sol. After the fight, I-No kills his younger self. Actually, it makes you wonder in the first place why Sol just fought a lookalike without thinking. In the bad ending, where Sol dies, why would you die if your younger self dies? Then who fought your younger self? Why did you exist in the first place?
--> '''Order Sol''': I'll crush you!
* In ''Overture,'' Ky's servants dropped from the sky.
* It may be his main source of appeal, but why does Bridget still wear nun clothes if he wants to be so manly?
** Clearly, he does it out of [[{{Pun}} habit]].
* [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment Sol's good ending]] in ''Accent Core'' where he lives and beats the shit out of I-No. If your younger self dies, then how would you exist in the first place?
** Because of RubberBandHistory where multiple timelines can possibly exist like one big happy family. If I-No changes the past, she doesn't necessarily erase the former timeline, just like what happened in the Drama CD.
