* ''Franchise/{{Barbie}}'' [[WesternAnimation/{{Barbie}} movies]]:
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieInTheNutcracker'', the Nutcracker himself used to be the rightful prince usurped by the Mouse King.
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieOfSwanLake'', Rothbart has changed all the inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest into animals, and when Odette enters the picture, he makes her into a swan. In the epilogue, he gets his comeuppance by becoming a cuckoo-clock.
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieAndTheMagicOfPegasus'', the titular pegasus used to be Princess Brietta, and later we learn that Wenlock's trio of miserable troll servants [[spoiler:used to be his wives]].
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieInAMermaidTale2'', the big bad, Eris, is given legs instead of a mermaid tail -- her worst nightmare.
* Disney uses this a lot.
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'':
*** The Genie turns Abu into a slew of things while hunting for a suitable "mode of transportation" for Prince Ali, ending with Abu as an elephant.
*** Later, Jafar turns Rajah into a tiger cub and Abu into a wind-up monkey toy.
** ''WesternAnimation/AliceInWonderland'': Alice changes size at alarming rates. While it does happen because she herself consumes various food and drinks, she usually is unaware of the exact effects of the consumption.
** ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'' has the Prince involuntarily transformed into the Beast by the Enchantress, and his servants are transformed into household objects.
** ''WesternAnimation/BrotherBear'' is based on this trope. Kenai is turned into a bear by the Great Spirit and his recently deceased eldest brother Sitka as punishment for attempting to avenge Sitka by killing the bear. [[spoiler:Justified when it turns out to be the mother of a bear cub named Koda]].
** In ''WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}}'', the mice and dog are turned into the footman and horses. ''WesternAnimation/CinderellaIIIATwistInTime'' has [[spoiler:the Stepmother steal the Fary Godmother's wand and ultimately turn Anastasia into a copy of Cinderella to steal the Prince away]]. While [[spoiler:Anastasia]] might have been bullied into agreeing, she still seems rather upset about the whole thing.
** ''WesternAnimation/TheEmperorsNewGroove'': features a slew of polymorphing potions going awry, and some of the results are much less than useful -- a turtle, a parrot, a humpback whale . . .
*** The main character, Kuzco, is turned into a llama by Yzma by means of one of these potions.
*** And then there's the entire palace guard, who get transformed into several different creatures, though their baleful-ness is apparently up to the individual:
--->'''Guard:''' Uh... I've been turned into a cow... can I go home?\
'''Yzma:''' You're excused. Anyone else?\
'''The rest of the troops:''' Nah, we're good!
*** And of course Yzma gets her comeuppance when [[spoiler:one of the final potions is used on her. And she turns into a fluffy little kitten. Cue Kuzco taunting her until he gets scratched.]]
** In ''WesternAnimation/{{The Little Mermaid|1989}}'', various merpeople are changed by Ursula into shriveled polyps.
** In ''WesternAnimation/{{Pinocchio}}'', the magic of Pleasure Island turns the wayward boys into donkeys - slowly but surely.
** In ''WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog'', Naveen and Tiana are both involuntarily turned into frogs. (The voodoo man did promise "green" in Naveen's future ...)
* [[spoiler:Metus being turned into a snake by the [[MaskOfPower Ignika]]]] in ''Toys/{{Bionicle}}: The Legend Reborn''.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}'' (by Disney subsidiary Creator/{{Pixar}}), Queen Elinor becomes a bear. And the same fate fell upon a prince who became [[BearsAreBadNews killer-machine-in-bear-form]] Mor'du. [[spoiler:At the end Merida's triplet little brothers become bear cubs as well.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'': Staying too long in the Land of the Dead causes Miguel to steadily transform into a skeleton over time. How much he's transformed shows how much time he has left to get home before he's stuck there forever.
* In ''Animation/TheFrogPrincess'', Koshchei turns Vasilisa into a frog.
* ''WesternAnimation/GIJoeTheMovie'': Golobulus exposes Cobra Commander to some mutagenic spores as punishment for failure, which slowly changes him from human(oid) to snake.
--> '''Cobra Commander:''' "I WasOnceAMan! Once a maaaan!"
* In ''Anime/JackAndTheBeanstalk1974'', everybody who originally lived in the castle except for Margaret get turned into mice by the witch's magic.
* ''WesternAnimation/KuboAndTheTwoStrings'':
** What actually ended up happening to [[spoiler:Kubo's father]], as a result of his relationship with [[spoiler:Kubo's mother making her turn against her family.]] As we can see from the paper recreation, it looked ''very'' painful.
** In a way, [[spoiler:the Moon King is also subjected to this, having been turned into a normal human by Kubo,]] something that he clearly would not have ever desired had he not [[spoiler:lost his memory in the process.]]
* In ''Master Moley By Royal Invitation'', the pilot film to ''The Misadventures Of Master Moley'', when Master Moley and his friends perform the "Snuffle Shuffle" to get the attention of [[UsefulNotes/ElizabethII the Queen]] and her guests at Windsor Castle, they end up turning everyone, including the Queen herself, into moles.
* Edmund from ''WesternAnimation/RockADoodle'' is transformed into a kitten by the evil Duke of Owls, and upon realizing that he's been tranformed, he cries out [[MemeticMutation "Jeepers, I'm all furry!"]]
* ''WesternAnimation/SecretMagicControlAgency'':
** At Ilvira's potion warehouse, several of the potion that get tossed about transform Gretel, Hansel and Cookie into things like a teapot, an armchair, a mermaid and a crab.
** The Lake Witch turns trespassers into small fish which bite the skin off of her and her fellow mermaids' feet when they are in their human form. One of the fish is seen begging for help. Hansel is temporarily turned into one before the Lake Witch's daughter realises that Gretel is the agent who rescued her at the beginning of the movie.
* In ''Animation/SheepAndWolves'', [[TheHero Grey]] turns into a sheep after he goes to Mami the gypsy rabbit for help and she gives him a potion so he can "change", setting the plot in motion.
* In ''Anime/SpiritedAway'', Chihiro's parents are turned into pigs after eating food that was meant for spirits. Later in the movie, Yubaba's giant infant son is turned into a mouse, and a large bird with Yubaba's head is turned into a tiny black hummingbird-thing. This trope is used a lot in Miyazaki movies, it seems.
* In ''Anime/{{Suzume}}'', the cat god Daijin transforms Souta into a child's chair, though he can still walk and talk. Daijin did this both because he wanted to keep Suzume to himself and [[spoiler:to force his role as Keystone onto Souta]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSwanPrincess'':
** Odette transforming into a swan is the primary and most famous example in the series.
** Rothbart's VillainSong implies that he wants to do this - he transforms people into an ostrich, lizard, pig and ape during the song.
** Uberta in the second movie is transformed into several different animals by Sir Clavius to shut her up. It doesn't work.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'', when one of Mei's relatives break their talisman they are transformed into a giant red panda regardless of their emotional state unlike normal transformations which generally occur due to heightened emotion.
