6	''Dr. Dolittle'' is a 1998 comedy film starring Creator/EddieMurphy as a doctor who has the ability to talk to animals. It is inspired by the ''Literature/DoctorDolittle'' books by Creator/HughLofting, but doesn't much resemble them.

8	A sequel, ''Dr. Dolittle 2'', was released in 2001. There are also three more direct-to-video sequels in which the central character is Dr. Dolittle's daughter Maya, played by Creator/KylaPratt. Lisa tells him "That's not funny," but her facial expression and barely restrained laughter clearly indicate that she knows he got her good, even if she doesn't want to admit it out loud.
