''Contraband'', originally titled ''Luca il contrabbandiere'' ("Luca the Smuggler"), is a 1980 Italian ''poliziottesco'' directed by Creator/LucioFulci and starring Fabio Testi, Marcel Bozzuffi, and Ivana Monti. Fulci's sole ''poliziotesco'' picture, the film was funded by actual mobsters after the original producer died suddenly and his widow nearly pulled the plug.

The film is set in Naples, where Luca Di Angelo (Testi) and his brother Michele (Enrico Maisto) use speedboats to smuggle cigarettes, and find themselves between two contraband bosses after they lose a load of cigarettes.

Not to be confused with [[Film/Contraband2012 the 2012 film of the same name]] starring Creator/MarkWahlberg.

----
!! This film contains examples of the following tropes:

* BoomHeadshot: One guy gets shot in the mouth point blank.
* CreatorCameo: Lucio Fulci briefly appears in one scene as a mobster.
* {{Gorn}}: Loads of it. It is a Lucio Fulci film, after all.
* SeanConneryIsAboutToShootYou: Or in this case, Fabio Testi.
* ShoutOut: The scene where Mickey is tricked into getting out of his car by assassins dressed as police officers and then mowed down with a machine gun is an homage to Sonny Corleone's death scene in ''Film/TheGodfather''.
