* Lincoln's white hair actually isn't white; it's extremely pale ash blonde that just looks white from the viewer's perspective.
* A sum of the fandom believes that Leni is on the autism spectrum and/or has a learning disability instead of being a DumbBlonde.
* Another character trait that is occasionally tacked onto Leni is that she has [[SuperStrength super-human strength]] (or is at least very strong), which hearkens back to her earliest designs where she was a super-strong eight year old.
* Lisa is believed by many to be on the autism spectrum.
* A small portion of the fandom believes that whenever the two are alone, Lucy affectionately calls Lincoln "big brother".
* There's a popular theory that Luan has some form of SplitPersonality, showcased through her ventriloquist dummy. Another theory is that Mr. Coconuts [[LivingToys is actually sentient.]]
* Luan's April Fool's Day persona has two possible explanations among fanon: The first is that she was [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer severely bullied when she was younger]] and is now [[MisplacedRetribution taking her rage out on her family since her tormentors are out of her reach.]] The other one (though not entirely common) is that her SplitPersonality is taking over on April 1st and she's convinced that the pranks she doesn't remember doing were harmless and everyone's overreacting. Whatever the case, when she realizes/discovers the truth, she's ''[[MyGodWhatHaveIDone horrified]]''. And there's [[TakeAThirdOption the possibility that bullying caused the]] SplitPersonality [[TakeAThirdOption in the first place]], with the same ultimate MyGodWhatHaveIDone. There's also a ''fourth'' option which is that Luan, due to getting a LamePunReaction for nine out of ten of her jokes, goes crazy on April Fool's in a desperate attempt to get a laugh.
* Some fans have begun to believe that Clyde is bisexual and that his crush on Lori may be an attempt to get over an [[AllLoveIsUnrequited unrequited crush]] on [[IncompatibleOrientation Lincoln]].
* A portion of the fandom believes that [[TransAudienceInterpretation either Lincoln is a trans boy or Lynn is a trans girl]]. The latter became popular because Lynn occasionally wears a jockstrap and is named after her father, and both were fueled by Lynn's "I'm noticing a complete lack of [[BallsGag balls]] in this room[...]Good thing I brought my own!" DoubleEntendre in "Space Invader." Often times, both siblings are transgender. Occasionally, Lana is depicted as a trans boy as well. "Not a Loud" reveals that when Lincoln was born, his sisters were glad to be getting a brother though, which means that they knew Lincoln was a boy from birth, so him being a trans boy is unlikely. The episode also mentioned that the reason that the reason why his room was decorated for a girl was because his parents reused the baby item from their first five kids, which makes Lynn being a trans girl unlikely as this suggests that she was known to be a girl from birth .
* A growing theory among a minority of fans is that Lincoln and Ronnie Anne don't really like each other, but are ''pretending'' to like each other. On the flip side, some fans think that they're actually dating, but are in denial, while a few think that one of them has an unrequited crush on the other.
* [=AUs=] where the Loud siblings were born in reverse order tend to follow certain structures:
** Teen Lily is commonly a theater lover (or a photographer [[TakeAThirdOption or both]]) and is the family peacemaker, in stark contrast to the more volatile Lori of canon.
** Teen Lana is generally a fairly skilled mechanic, having had time to hone the skills she displays in canon.
** Baby Lori would have an affinity for toy phones.
** It's starting to become accepted that if the Loud siblings were born in reverse order, Lincoln would have been born two years sooner, leading to the child versions of the canon teens having their ages adjusted accordingly.
* Harold [=McBride=] is bisexual and was previously married to a woman, Clyde's biological mother, who [[DeathByChildbirth died in childbirth]]. He later met and married Howard.
* Some fans believe Lucy to be naturally a blonde who dyes her hair. The episode "Back In Black" has shown her being made blonde, which some fans thought implied this, but the series debunked it. In later episodes, as well as the movie, Lucy is depicted as naturally a raven in her baby pictures, alongside the fact that she looks exactly like her great-grandmother Harriet and ancestral double Lucille, who were also natural ravens.
* Lucy is also believed to be anaemic, sometimes [[PrematureBirthDrama as the result of being born premature]], due to her pale skin that she apparently had as a baby. Other fan guesses for her pale skin include albinism (and she dyes her hair or it's a wig), lack of sun, a genetic trait that Harriet and Lucille also both had, or even being a vampire (though canonically, Lucy has expressed a desire to become a vampire, meaning she can't already be one).
* Lucy has chronically bloodshot eyes, which scare some of her family. This is stated to be the reason why she keeps her eyes concealed under her bangs, and can coincide with the anemia theory above (notably, one fanfic, ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/firstdrellspectre/art/Loud-House-Fanfiction-Lucy-s-Birth-733595773 Lucy's Birth]]'', involved her with both anaemia and bloodshot eyes, which were the result of a premature birth).
* A popular theory is that Lily is actually the [[FamilyRelationshipSwitcheroo daughter]] of [[TeenPregnancy Lori or Leni]]. Both Lori and Leni are referred to as Lily's sisters by the whole family in canon, though fans will often HandWave that by saying that Lori/Leni and the parents are keeping it a secret.[[note]]Though that wouldn't explain why Rita referred to the whole gang as Lily's siblings in "Any Given Sundae", when the only other two people in the room were Lynn Sr. and Lily.[[/note]]
* Lily will be a PhoneaholicTeenager due to her already showing signs of liking cellphones.
* Lily's going to grow up to become a gamer, thanks to [[http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1278725-the-loud-house a well-made fanmade gif]]. This can coincide with the PhoneaholicTeenager fanon if she likes mobile games.
* As in the dimension were the Loud kids are all boys, the Loud parents are believed to remain the same gender in the genderswapped dimension, only with their clothes' colors inverted with each other. In "One Of The Boys", while this is true in the All Loud Boys dimension, their counterparts from the genderswapped dimension (seen near the end of the episode) made no appearance in any form.
* If Luna hadn't met Mick Swagger, she would be into classical music. This is helped by her younger appearance in her origin story and she apparently knows how to play the violin. So widespread is this fanon, that [[CommonKnowledge some people think it's actually true]].
** Less commonly, Luna figures out how to blend her skill with the violin with her love of rock and ends up playing both the guitar and rock-style violin music. With Sam playing the partner guitar if they're a couple.
* Various minor characters (mostly [[OneSceneWonder One-Scene Wonders]] and [[EnsembleDarkhorse Ensemble Dark Horses]]) have been given fanon personas by the fandom:
** Chandler, a boy who for a long time only had a major role in "The Waiting Game" would often receive the RonTheDeathEater treatment. Granted, he wasn't a nice kid to begin with (in the aforementioned episode he is a jerk that uses Lincoln to get free food from the arcade), but many fanfics [[CharacterExaggeration character-exaggerate]] him into a full blown bully (sometimes even a BarbaricBully who loves to beat up kids and frequently targets Lincoln). This actually ended up as AscendedFanon in a way as Chandler is now Lincoln's personal recurring antagonist starting from the end of Season 4, although nowhere as brutal as he's often written... yet.
** Cristina, Lincoln's crush from "Making the Case", is often portrayed as a rival to Ronnie Anne or as a silent character.
** Carol Pingrey, Lori's [[spoiler:former]] rival first seen in "Picture Perfect". She generally acts as either [[TheRival a rival to Lori]], either a sympathetic one or [[AlphaBitch not]], or even [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold a mix]] of those portrayals. As a sympathetic one, she's usually a friend of [[IntergenerationalFriendship Lincoln]] or one of his other sisters, though her nice persona sometimes leads to Lori believing she might ursurp her as the one her siblings look up to (perhaps popularised by ''Fanfic/BabysitterFromHeaven''). If portrayed as unsympathetic, however, her only joy in life is [[{{Troll}} messing with Lori]] and her family. The episode "Selfie Improvement", supported most of the sympathetic one [[spoiler:to the point of forming a friendship with Lori at the end.]]
*** As a result of the episode it has also become decently common for fans to interpret Carol as having an unrequited crush on Lori. One example is ''Fanfic/{{Regrets}}''.
** An unnamed female classmate of Lincoln wearing purple, referred to as "Cookie QT" by the fandom, loves to make cookies and has a secret crush on Lincoln. She's also a friend to another recurring background girl referred to as "Brown QT".
** [[ShrinkingViolet "Shy QT"]], who also has a crush on Lincoln, albeit to [[StalkerWithACrush stalker level]].
** Sully and Mazzy, Luna and Sam's friends and fellow band members, [[NominalImportance whose names are seldom mentioned]], [[AdaptationNameChange are often named]] "George" and "Ruth" in fanfics, usually ones that were written before their names were officially revealed.
** Thanks to "Fanfic/WhatIsAPersonWorth", the bratty kid from "Cereal Offender" has been cast as [[RelatedInTheAdaptation Carol Pingrey's little brother]], [[NamedByTheAdaptation with the name of Conner Pingrey]].
** Lori and Bobby's future children in "Driving Ambition" are canonically given [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/theloudhouse/images/a/a1/S3E22B_Theoretical_family.png their own distinctive appearances]], so fans love to give them their own names and personalities. For example, the eldest son is named Hector, the baby is named Rosa, the girl who looks like Lori but has black hair is named Barbara or Jessica, and the little boy who looks like Lincoln but with black hair is named Luis or Bobby Jr. ''WesternAnimation/TheCasagrandes'' episode "An Udder Mess" reveals that Bobby wants to name his first son "Bobby Jr." and both him and Lori want to name their first daughter "Lori Jr.".
* A discovery that's slowly gaining popularity on Tumblr is the fan theory that Lola and Carl Casagrande will become a couple in the future. Alternatively, Lily and Carlitos in a distant future, so the youngest Loud and Casagrande siblings can match the oldest (Lori and Bobby) and middle ones (Lincoln and Ronnie Anne).[[note]]Though Bobby and Ronnie Anne's last name is Santiago.[[/note]]
* It's heavily speculated by the fans that Lincoln's alternate dimension experience in "One of the Boys" was a test by Lisa and Levi (who, if the theory is true, is a real person from a real dimension as opposed to simply a [[DreamPeople dream person]]) to actually see if one could survive dimensional travel. The fact that Nickelodeon uploaded [[https://youtu.be/wvz-ZwSuz80 a video]] showcasing Lincoln traveling to other dimensions supports this theory.
* A fanon that was popular prior to the episode "Not a Loud" (and still sees some use, though by now it's always acknowledged as an AlternateUniverseFic) is that at least one or two of the Loud siblings are adopted. This is very much nearly always Lincoln, with Lucy being a very distant second. In such scenarios Lori is, somehow, the only sibling who knows this.
* Luan having ADHD is gaining speed as an accepted theory, perhaps due to ''Fanfic/LuansProblem''. Some people also suggest that it's ''Sid'' who has ADHD, while others think Sid is autistic, both to explain why she talks fast and is squirmy.
* Luna as bisexual has caught on due to some lines implying she might like girls as well as boys. This was eventually [[IKnewIt canonized]] in the season two episode "L is for Love". Though this was later confirmed to not be completely true [[https://www.insider.com/why-tv-lacks-lgbtq-inclusion-according-to-experts-2021-6 in an article]], where it says that Luna was written as a lesbian, but that the writers were open to other interpretations.
* While Sam is currently in a relationship with Luna, confirming that she is attracted to girls, her exact sexual orientation isn’t confirmed in-show. There's an accepted theory that [[EveryoneIsBi Sam is bisexual too]], because her voice actress Creator/AlysonStoner [[QueerCharacterQueerActor is bisexual]].
* Some members of the fandom believe that Luan is a lesbian (or less commonly, a bisexual who generally prefers girls), and that Maggie from "Funny Business" is her partner. Luan has been shown crushing on boys (Hugh in "Study Muffin" and Benny in "L is For Love" and later episodes), debunking the fanon that she's strictly lesbian. Though her being bisexual still isn't ruled out yet.
** In related terms it could be that it is Maggie who has a [[IncompatibleOrientation crush on Luan]].
* Should the characters of the series be [[{{Animorphism}} transformed into animals]] for the purpose of the story, the Louds will be rabbits, [[WhatCouldHaveBeen as was the original plan]]. And now there's [[Recap/TheLoudHouseS3E2WhiteHareInstaGran an episode like that.]]
* In RuleSixtyThree fanfics, a common InSeriesNickname for Linka is “Snow White”, because of her white hair and [[TheSmurfettePrinciple her status as the only girl of the Loud siblings]].
* With Lynn claiming in "Singled Out" that her having a crush prior was due to dehydration and spending the whole episode uncomfortable with dating, some fans speculate she's ace-aro.
* A lot of fans, perhaps due to the popularity of the fanfic ''Breakdown on the Beach'', believe that directly after "No Such Luck", Lincoln passed out from heatstroke, leading to the family quickly rushing him either home, or to the hospital and him telling them off for being superstitious at his expense, which leads to them reconciling. There's also the theory that the Louds (perhaps with Lynn as an exception) never thought Lincoln was bad luck and only said he was to punish him for lying. It's also widely accepted that Lincoln's sisters and parents are ashamed of the episode's events.
* A lot of fans believe that Lincoln will be a cartoonist when he grows up because he reads comics, drew one in "Pulp Friction", and can draw well. Some fans also believe that Lily will be a painter when she grows up due to her finger painting skills.
* A few fans have noticed that generally it's the first available kid who gets called "junior", yet Lynn Jr. is the fifth kid. The commonly accepted fan explanation is that initially, the Loud parents were waiting for a boy to name after Lynn Sr., since it's usually sons who get called "junior", but after the fifth daughter they thought they'd never have a son and decided to name her Lynn Jr. anyway since it's a unisex name, only for the next kid to be a boy.
** Alternately, the Loud parents were under the impression that their fifth child was going to be a boy, to the point of making "Lynn Jr." the name on official paperwork; when LJ turned out to be a girl, they decided changing it wasn't worth the trouble and thus Lynn Jr. stuck around.
* Initially, there were fan theories that Lincoln's white hair was [[PrematurelyGreyHaired due to stress]] or dye. However, they were debunked by "The Whole Picture", which shows that Lincoln had white hair since he was a baby and was most likely born with it. Seeing as Pop-Pop comments on Lincoln's hair matching his in one episode, some fans have guessed that Pop-Pop's hair was white from birth and that's where Lincoln got it from. The fact that the [[WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouseMovie Duke]] also had white hair points it to being a genetic trait in the Loud family.
* One popular theory is that the reason the Sister Fight Protocol from "Brawl in the Family" was never seen before or since was because it was only recently cooked up and they dropped it after it proved unsuccessful during the events of the episode (some fanfics will also have them subsequently either remaking it to involve all siblings or seeing it as an OldShame). A theory for why Lincoln didn't know about it was that it was invented when he was away and they forgot to tell him when he came back.
* A semi-popular theory is that Bobby is Lori's only boyfriend so far, especially since Lori was rather unattractive during puberty.
* The sisters think Lincoln BreakingTheFourthWall is him having imaginary friends. This is unlikely though, since Lola tells the viewers, "What do you expect? I'm Lola Loud!" at the end of "A Tattler's Tale", and Luan says, "Get it?" to the viewers after joking to herself at the end of "April Fools Rules".
* Haiku and Maggie or Tabby and Sam are sometimes theorised to be sisters due to their similar personalities. The latter theory is OutdatedByCanon, since canon reveals that Sam has only one younger sibling: Simon.
* A somewhat popular one is the idea that Luna was so named because she was born under a full moon.
* Due to Luna coming out as bi being something of a FandomSpecificPlot, there's a prevalent idea that during "L is for Love", Luna's family thought Sam was a boy, which, to be fair, is possible, since [[TomboyishName Sam]] is a gender-neutral name. That being said, some dialogue in the episode indicate that at least some of the family members already knew what Sam looked like, since they specifically say they don't see Sam at the restaurant, which would suggest that they already knew Sam was a girl.
* A semi-popular theory holds that Lynn Sr. and/or Rita were raised Catholic, which would explain why they never used birth control and had eleven kids as a result.
* The Genderbent AU featuring Linka tends to have its own set of particular fanon, especially since it's featured so briefly in the actual show that it doesn't have time to establish much beyond Linka's own room:
** Pretty much every character is genderbent. This includes the Loud parents, Mr. Grouse, Sam and so on.
** The female version of Clyde is often named Claire or Claudie. Like Clyde in earlier seasons, she has a crush on Loki (Lori's male counterpart), although depicted in a less creepy, more innocent manner.
** Linka's love interest is a male version of Ronnie Anne (Ron[aldo], sometimes with the middle name Andy), who is frequently characterized as a JerkWithAHeartOfGold instead of a LovingBully.
** In this version of "Heavy Meddle", [[DoubleStandard Linka's brothers got angry instead of excited]] when they learnt her bully was a boy.
** Like his female counterpart, Luke is gay/bi for a male version of Sam, but while Luna is open about herself and female Sam, he likes to keep his relationship with male Sam a secret or disguised as a bromance because he knows his brothers would never stop teasing him about it.
** Loni is still a fashion designer, albeit one that focuses on strictly male fashion like suits and ties.
** Despite not having the posters in her room, Linka still does like Ace Savvy, perhaps a version of it where Ace and Jack (who's now called One-Eyed Jackie) are women.
* Some fans think that Sam actually ''does'' like dancing after all; she just doesn't know how to.
* Despite his infamous appearance in "No Bus No Fuss" where he bullies Lincoln and his friends along with two other bullies (Anderson and Taylor) a few people believe that Pablo is a TokenGoodTeammate and is just afraid of getting bullied due to wearing glasses.
** Fans also believe that he used to get bullied by Anderson and Taylor before he decided to join them to bully others.
** If we look closer in the scene where Lincoln and the other victims stood up to the bullies, Pablo was the one who showed more fear or secretly remorse for his actions.
** Some fans have also had ''Taylor'' be the token good one of the group, perhaps due to the HighHeelFaceTurn trope, since she's the only girl.
* Some fans have explained Ronnie Anne's soft side being more prominent in ''WesternAnimation/TheCasagrandes'' as her [[SourOutsideSadInside having previously acted tougher over being sad]] about her parents' divorce and now being happier because she lives closer to Arturo.
* A few fans believe that due to Lori and Bobby canonically wanting to get married someday, that eventually they will have a double wedding with Lincoln and Ronnie Anne.
* Some people think that Lily's well-known "Poo-poo!" quote was her [[BabysFirstWords first word]]. While it is the first line of dialogue she says in the series that isn't gibberish, her actual first word is unknown.
* While it's unstated, Harriet is generally believed to have been Lynn Sr.'s grandmother, since she's illustrated wearing an "L" which could have stood for "Loud", making her the wife of Lynn Sr.'s paternal grandfather.
* After Lynn Sr.'s father's name was revealed to be Leonard, some fans have believed that if Leni had been a boy, she would have been named Lenny to honor her Gramps.
* In stories dealing with alternate timelines, it's generally agreed upon that if Lori and Bobby hadn't ended up together (whether due to [[ItsAWonderfulPlot Lori not existing]], the two not meeting, or just them not being together), then Bobby would have started dating Carol.
* Lisa finding her fears embarrassing due to feeling that someone of her intelligence should not be afraid or should have more rational fears is a common one, seen in fanfics like ''Fanfic/IrrationalFear'' and ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12041130/1/Wet-Genius Wet Genius]]''.
* Some think that Lynn [[HeightAngst is self-conscious about how short she is]], with a few people even thinking that she's actually shorter than Lincoln (but looks taller due to her hair).
* Fanfics will often have the characters referring to the events of certain episodes as the "luck incident" or "bad luck incident" ("No Such Luck"), the "Princess Pony incident" ("Sleuth or Consequences"), or the "friend card fiasco" ("Friendzy").
* Some people explain Lana's ExtremeOmnivore tendencies as her having pica.
