astra inclinant, sed non obligant (shortened as Astra Inclinant or simply Astrainc) is an ambitious, long-running Music/EvilliousChronicles fanfic that plans to rewrite the entire 1000-year story where the Sins have been replaced by Virtues, authored by a writer-duo team called houfukuseisaku.

!!astra inclinant contains examples of:
* CelibateHero: One of the dubious powers granted to contractors by the Angel of Chastity. "Cherubim" can't even think of Lukana as pretty without the Angel punishing him, and Rajih shut the door in Irina's face simply because he saw Hakua in the distance.
* DotingParent: In a sharp contrast to canon, Ma. She cares deeply for Gallerian and worries for his public image when one of his clients, Gammon, disappears. She also basically coddles Michelle and tries to do her best by her, which includes threatening to sue Nyoze for trying to get Michelle involved in the case of Gammon's disappearance.
* DownerEnding: How each of the Acts (save perhaps the very last one) will inevitably end, especially considering the fanfic's source material. The Angels' intrusive influence is banished, but the contractors more often than not end up scarred for life or worse, dead.
* EmptyShell: "Cherubim", and possibly all or most of his descendants as well, as a result of half his soul being assimilated into the Angel of Chastity.
* ForWantOfANail: This is an oversimplification, but simply because Eve chose to stay at home and only went out into the forest with Adam in response to Meta's cry, the entire premise of the Evillious Chronicles is turned on its head: the Demons of Sin are now the Angels of Virtue, and Irina has become our Vessel-gathering protagonist with a certain clockwork bluebird acting as the overarching villain.
* GoodIsNotNice: The Angels, definitely. Because they're not human and therefore have no concept of normal human conventions (and thus tend to take their namesake Virtue to the extreme), the people who forge contracts with the Angels don't usually last too long.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Irina wants to gather all the Vessels to prevent "a great evil" from abusing them, as per Held's orders. The bluebird wants to gather all the Vessels for… some reason?
* HardLight: Another power able to be used by the Angels' contractors, though so far we've only seen "Cherubim" utilize it to create blades of light.
* IdentityAmnesia: After giving up the specific memory of his identity to form a contract with the Angel of Chastity, Sateriasis ends up believing that he's actually "Cherubim" and runs away from home so as to not trouble his brother any longer.
* JekyllAndHyde: Meta and Malice's relationship in a nutshell. One is a reformed Ghoul Child and the other is an instance of the HER syndrome that has somehow gained sentience. While Malice often remains inside Meta's mental plane, it is also capable of manifesting as Meta's shadow doppelganger during moments of crisis.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: One of the powers able to be used by the Chastity Angel's contractors. By giving up a specific memory of their own, they are also able to directly wipe any memory related to it from the minds of those exposed to the Angel's light, or as a gradual process through a "plague of frigidity" that can spread throughout a large area.
* ObsessedWithFood: Without a doubt, Vlad. One spoonful of plain white rice is enough to send him to heaven, apparently.
* PeoplePuppets: The clockwork bluebird's modus operandi. By splitting its soul into fragments and hosting them in its clockwork creations, the bluebird can take control of people's bodies, though it often chooses to remain in one 'main body' for convenience's sake.
* Polyamory: The authors are particularly fond of using this trope to solve the relationship problems present in canon. In the very first chapter, we see Meta falling in love with both Adam and Eve, and eventually .
* Reincarnation: Adam and Eve. They are reborn every few centuries, usually in sync with each other but without retaining any memory of their previous lives, save for a few vague notions of familiarity with each other and with people who resemble Meta.
* ReincarnationRomance: Deconstructed. While Karchess does have vague feelings of recognition towards Mikulia, he's still deeply in love with Yufina and Martius and ends up spending the rest of his life with them. Similarly, Mikulia recognizes Karchess as her "blue prince" a.k.a. and also seeks to find her "red witch" a.k.a. , but in the end she falls in love with and marries Gilbert. Only time will tell if this continues to be a pattern in the following Acts.
* SevenHeavenlyVirtues: The main theme of Astra Inclinant, as a direct inversion of the Chronicles' Seven Deadly Sins.
* TheAgeless: Irina. And she's not happy about it.
