->''The story with Pokémon Trainers, School Idols and Romance we realise with you!''
-->-- '''Tagline'''

Created in July 2017 by [=PokemonLoveLiveFan99=] on Website/DeviantArt, the ''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee'' universe of fanfics is composed of a crossover between these four universes: ''{{Franchise/Pokemon}}'', ''Franchise/LoveLive'', ''VisualNovel/TokimekiMemorial'' and ''{{VideoGame/Twinbee}}'', though there have been stories that have been written for this ''Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS'' and ''Anime/LoveLiveNijigasakiHighSchoolIdolClub''-like universe as part of a previous continuity that are dated all the way back to September 2015.

The primary stories that take place in this universe are {{Seinen}} styled one shots that usually have the schoolgirls doing various things in a [[{{Iyashikei}} lighthearted slice of life setting]], taking place in the ''Love Live!'' universe and focusing on certain female characters from the ''Pokémon'' games, ''Love Live! School Idol Festival'', ''VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestivalAllStars'', ''Tokimeki Memorial:Forever with You'' and ''Twinbee'' and the stories also contain copious amounts of [[YuriGenre Yuri shipping]] from story to story. These are the most common type of stories for this universe.

However, there are also more serious {{Shonen}} styled side stories that take place in the same universe and are more action packed and also allow for male characters to appear from the franchises involved in the crossover and beyond, barring ''Love Live!'', seeing as there are no male characters from that universe officially, that are written more sparingly.

And starting in late September 2017, the writer has collaborated with another deviant to create ''Tokimeki Splatoon'', another spin-off/AU with Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori, Pastel, Yoko and some of their friends/allies involved in the crossover as well, where they discover [[Franchise/{{Splatoon}} Inkopolis]]. Just like the Side Stories, ''Tokimeki Splatoon'' is also composed of more serious stories with stakes for certain characters but there are also stories that are lighthearted with humorous moments and feel more like ''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee'' proper. Too bad the AU was put on indefinite hiatus shortly after it's introduction...

It now has a crossover with ''Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'' in the form of ''Fanfic/MultidimensionalDarkMasters''!

You can read the series of stories, including the side stories, [[http://pokemonlovelivefan99.deviantart.com/ here]].

Also compare and contrast the Side Story arcs, Special Stories and major crossovers with ''Anime/PokemonOrigins'', ''WebAnimation/PokemonGenerations'', ''Manga/PokemonAdventures'', ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', ''Anime/DigimonAdventureTri'', ''Anime/DigimonAdventureLastEvolutionKizuna'', ''[[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics Archie Sonic]]'', ''[[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogIDW IDW Sonic]]'', ''Manga/MegaManMegamix'', the ''ComicBook/MegaManArchieComics'' series and ''ComicBook/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesAdventures'' for other DarkerAndEdgier takes on otherwise lighthearted franchises.

Also compare and contrast the Main Stories with official!''Love Live!'', ''Franchise/TheIdolmaster'', ''Anime/{{Aikatsu}}'', ''Anime/PriPara'', ''Manga/KOn'', ''Manga/LuckyStar'', ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'', ''Manga/{{Nichijou}}'', ''Manga/NonNonBiyori'', ''Manga/IsTheOrderARabbit'' and ''Manga/YuruYuri'', which are also SliceOfLife and/or [[IdolGenre Idol]] series that are usually [[LighterAndSofter lighthearted]] {{Iyashikei}} franchises filled to the brim with lots of [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments humorous]] and [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments fluffy, adorable]] moments!

'''In addition, there are spoilers below, including spoilers for entries of the source material being adapated such as those involving the main ''Pokémon'' games as well as the ''[=TokiMemo=]'' games, so read them at your own risk!'''

----
!!''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee (and the Side Stories) and Tokimeki Splatoon'' contain examples of:

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:A-M]]
* ActionizedAdaptation: Unlike official entries in the ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'' franchises, this series has Pokémon Battles in them, likewise making this the fanfic equivalent of a Shonen mons series as well.
* ActionMom: Any of the girls who adopt or in the case of Coco, have kids due to them still being Pokémon Trainers even after high school.
* AdaptationalBadass: While these two girls are from a slice-of-life idol franchise, and also play the same role in the main stories of this universe, [[spoiler:Coco Miyashita and Ai Miyashita get to be Shonen heroines and save N and Sonic from the Fusion Bolt from Eggman's Black Kyurem in "The Ideal Hero Part 1" using a Fusion Flare from a Reshiram that Hilda and Shizuku let them borrow in "Hilda's and Shizuku's Ice Cream Date!" with Hilbert alongside the Miyashita cousins!]]
* AdaptationAmalgamation: The series has characters from the main ''Pokémon'' games and the main anime, with ''Black and White'' and ''Black 2 and White 2'' being the primary source of characters and there's more focus on Risa and Margo on the ''PokéAni'' side of things, adapts N's backstory pretty faithfully but with a slight twist as to who corrupted him originally, as well as Mega Evolution being taken from ''X and Y'' and Z-Moves taken from ''Sun and Moon'', has characters and elements from ''Love Live!'', with the ''Perfect Dream Project'' girls and certain Transfer Students having a major focus, has characters from both the Standard and Girl's Side braches of ''Tokimeki Memorial'', but with the focus on characters from the Kirameki and Hibikino Sagas as well as Chikara Osako from ''3rd Story'' and Pastel as the main representative of the ''Twinbee'' series.
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: A minor example, while N [[spoiler:is still manipulated by a villain into helping him conquer the world, the villain who does so in this universe is actually a certain egg shaped scientist from the ''Sonic'' franchise]].
%% * AdaptationalVillainy: The versions of Mia and Lanzhu from this universe, '''full stop'''!
* AdaptationDyeJob: This version of Rina has pink eyes that match her hair color rather than the [[spoiler:yellowish tan eyes Canon!Rina has]].
* AdaptationExpansion:
** While "The King Returns" from ''Generations'' leaves the outcome of the battle teased at the end ambiguous, "The Ideal Hero" part 2 actually shows [[spoiler:Reshiram winning against Black Kyurem]]!
** We get to see Risa build up her confidence to start running again to the point where [[spoiler:she is accepted into the Nijigasaki Track Team]]!
* AdaptationInspiration: While this universe is darker like ''Pokémon Origins'' and ''Pokémon Generations'', it is also like your typical moe Seinen/J-Idol anime alongside elements from ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee''.
* AdaptationNameChange: While the ''Pokémon'' characters and Pastel still keep their first names here, they gain last names while certain ''Love Live!'' characters such as Shizuku gain middle names too. In addition, Chairwoman Zhong gains a first name, Lanfen, in this universe.
* AdaptationPersonalityChange:
** While Shizuku is a tsundere in ''SIF All Stars'', Hilda is the tsundere in this universe instead, though Shizuku still has hints of that part of her personality here.
*** Likewise, while Shizuku is only a GenkiGirl during songs that she sings with the other two members of the A•ZU•NA subunit of PERFECT Dream Project in ''SIF ALL STARS'', in ''PokéLive!'', Shizuku is also portrayed as being somewhat of a genki girl outside PDP, though a bit downplayed compared to Hilda's excitable personality in this continuity.
* AdaptedOut: Ghetsis from "The Ideal Hero", this universe's adaptation of "The King Returns" from ''WebAnimation/PokemonGenerations'', [[AxCrazy and for]] [[TheDreaded good reason]]! Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik takes his place as the Kyurem controlling villain here.
** In addition, Naoto Takami, the male protagonist of ''Tokimeki Memorial 1'' is nowhere to be seen in this universe with Pastel and Mutsuki fulfilling the role of Shiori's love interest instead, though Naoto's counterpart in this universe finally appears in "A Tokimeki Christmas Party!".
** Likewise, Kouichi Watase, the male protagonist of ''Tokimeki Memorial 2'' never appears, with Chikara Osako as Kasumi Asou's love interest in Kouichi's place.
** The unnamed female protagonists of ''School Idol Festival'' and ''ALL STARS'' haven't appeared in any story as well, though the ''ALL STARS'' protagonist is alluded to in "The Legend of Rainbow-chan!", and the ''ALL STARS'' protagonist finally makes her debut in "Introducing Anata!".
* AddedAlliterativeAppeal: "Subzero Slammer", the name of the Z-Move Shizuku's Lapras uses in "A Nostalgic Double Battle!".
* {{Adventure}}: Only in the Side Stories.
* AfterTheEnd:[[spoiler:Aleena's time, where climate change has made most of the Earth, except for the polar regions and the surrounding tundra, uninhabitable due to excessive heat and desertification.]]
* AllThereInTheManual: Certain details that haven't been mentioned in a story are shared either on the entry for this series on [[Website/TVTropes This Very Wiki]] and on the FANDOM wiki for the series as well as the author's Toyhou.se page, at least for the {{Original Character}}s created for the series.
* AlternateContinuity: Is a separate one from the ''Pokémon'' games, combines the events of both the ''VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestival'' as well as the ''[[VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestivalAllStars SIF ALL STARS]]'' universes into one and combines the characters from the main ''[=TokiMemo=]'' games with the ''Girl's Side'' games in one universe. Other examples:
** Hilda is shown to have picked Oshawott as her starter instead of Tepig, as seen in other official ''Pokémon'' media with her, and unlike the games, she also has a cheerful personality similar to [[Manga/KOn Ritsu Tainaka's]].
** Though that personality trait of hers is not gone completely, Shizuku Osaka is less of a tsundere here, and instead of her being teased about being a tsun, Hilda is the tsundere, and she's the one who's teased about it as a result.
** Instead of Naoto Takami as her love interest, Shiori Fujisaki has Pastel Cerise and Mutsuki Takamagahara as her girlfriends in this universe. Likewise, Chikara Osako replaces Kouichi Watase as Kasumi Asou's boyfriend.
** Unlike the first pair of Unova-based ''Pokémon'' games, where either Hilda or Hilbert are the protagonist who faces N and his "father", in this continuity, Hilbert, as well as Coco Miyashita (And on a more minor note, Sonic) are the ones who face N and his uncle in a fateful battle that decides the fate of the world.
** Unlike ''Anime/PokemonThePowerOfUs'', which leaves Risa's decision to run again ambiguous, this version of her decides that she wants to start running again thanks to her girlfriend Emma Verde.
** Unlike ''ALL STARS'', Emma lives with Risa rather than using one of the Nijigasaki High dorm rooms as her Canon counterpart does.
** Hilda's mention of the events of ''Red'', ''Blue'' and ''Yellow'' (As well as ''[=FireRed=]'' and ''[=LeafGreen=]''), ''Gold'', ''Silver'' and ''Crystal'' (As well as ''[=HeartGold=]'' and ''[=SoulSilver=]''), ''Emerald'' in particular for Hoenn (Due to Hilda mentioning that Brendan battled both Team Magma and Team Aqua.) and ''Platinum'' (Since she mentions that Lucas defeated Cyrus with the help of Cynthia in the Distortion World.) in "If At First You Don't Succeed..." implies that at least the events of the [=GB/GBC=], [=GBA=] and [=DS=] Main Series ''Pokémon'' games happened in the world her and Bianca originally came from.
** Though some details are different, the fact that N awakens the Tao Dragon that opposes the one Hilbert and Coco awaken, N defecting from the Eggman Empire and the Eggman Empire splitting into two factions, one led by Eggman and the other by N, shows that the events of the two pairs of Unova-based ''Pokémon'' games also happen in this universe.
** The fact that Nijigasaki as well as Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi have Pokémon Trainer's Clubs in this continuity whereas there aren't any Pokémon across the various ''Love Live!'' anime or in ''School Idol Festival''/''ALL STARS'' to speak of.
** Unlike ''ALL STARS'', there seems to be hints that [[spoiler:certain characters won't defect to the School Idol Association due to Lanzhu revealing that her and Mia are having a hard time convincing anyone to join it in "Mia Taylor's First PP!", instead the main confict at Nijigasaki in ''PokéLive!'' is Mia and Lanzhu trying to have Chairwoman Zhong ban Pokémon Training and Trainers bringing their Pokémon with them on campus with the exception of themselves]].
* AlternateUniverse: Tying into Gen 7's motif, which was when the earliest ''PokéLive!'' stories were written, the main stories and Side Stories take place in an alternate version of the ''Love Live!'' universe but with ''Pokémon'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' girls and Pastel from ''Twinbee'' living alongside the girls from ''School Idol Festival'' and ''ALL STARS''.
* AlternateUniverseFic: The series basically answers the questions "What if Hilda was a member of PERFECT Dream Project?" and "What if Shizuku and Ayumu among other certain School Idols took up Pokémon Training?".
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Played straight with Crystal, due to her being from a fantasy world.
* AmusementPark: Nimabasa City has an amusement park, just like in the ''Pokémon'' games, in "A Nostalgic Double Battle!".
* AnachronicOrder:The series jumps back and forth between the high school days of Hilda and Shizuku to the elementary school days of Yoko and Ellie and back thanks to the author writing the series this way with a bigger jump forward an unspecified amount of decades later to [[spoiler:the post Climapocalypse Earth Aleena lives on in "Prophecy of Failure!?"]].
* {{Animesque}}: The fan art for the series is typically drawn in [[DependingOnTheArtist various anime artstyles]], due to the source material having anime like artstyles.
* AnotherDimension:
** Surprising for a ''Love Live!'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' based universe! So far, the confirmed dimensions to exist are the Pokémon World, Classic Sonic's World, the alternate version of the world ''[=TokiMemo 1=]'' takes place in where Mio and Yoshio are a couple seemingly based on the audio drama that appears in "Way of the Naganadel!", Planet Mel back in Pastel's dimension, the unnamed world Míriel Regenfall and Allen Moonlit reside in, Planet Mobius from the dimension the Knothole Freedom Fighters were originally from and the dimension the 765 Pro [=DigiDestined=] come from.
** Implied to be the case in [[spoiler:"''Prophecy of Failure!?''" due to Classic Sonic discovering a desert but it is subverted as well since it is revealed to be the future]].
* ApocalypseHow:
** [[spoiler:Class 1, in the future that takes place in "Prophecy of Failure!?", Aleena reveals that due to Climate Change, only northern enclaves in Canada, Siberia and Greenland and southerly ones in New Zealand and Antarctica still have technology, but outside those places, civilization has collapsed and resource wars are the norm]].
** [[spoiler:Class 2, in "Planet Mobius, Destroyed but Not Forgotten!?", Sally mentions that Ultra Beasts attacked her world, and while the civilization there was sent back to the Stone Age, there are survivors of all intelligent species]].
* ArtStyleDissonance: The art style for most pics of this universe are usually drawn in cutesy {{Shoujo}} or even {{Moe}} art styles including the ''Love Live!'' art style itself, yet like the ''Pokémon'' games, there are dramatic, sad and even scary moments at times during the stories! Subverted since there are pics of these versions of the canonical characters from each franchise that are drawn in a more traditional {{Shonen}} style.
* AscendedExtra: Just like Shizuku, Emma and Kanata (Who started out as girls on N rarity cards in the original ''School Idol Festival'') in ''SIF ALL STARS'' proper, Coco, Yuri and Ranpha (In this continuity anyway) are more fleshed out, are also main protagonists (Alongside Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori, Pastel, Risa, Emma, N, Hilbert and Ai) and also catch legendaries.
* ArtifactTitle:The titular Love Live! competition nor the School Idol Festival from ''ALL STARS'' and the Nijigasaki anime are the focus of this AU, the story being about Hilda and the others at Nijigasaki as well as certain Otonokizaka, Uranohoshi, Yuigaoka, Higashi and Hinagiku students balancing their heroic Pokémon Training duties with School Idol Club activities.
* AscendedFridgeHorror: A couple of examples.
** While it may have been mentioned in various ''Pokémon'' adaptations in the past, Hilda confirms that Pokémon Training can be kinda dangerous/risky in "A Trip to the Pet Shop!"
** [[spoiler:While it's based on a now discredited ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' fan theory that was quite popular in late 2016, a destructive Ultra Beast invasion ''did'' happen that destoryed a world, but it turns out the universe that was affected was an AU version of [[WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM Knothole]] [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics Village]] for the backstory of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, which is confirmed as of "Planet Mobius, Destroyed but Never Forgotten!?"]].
* AuthorAppeal:
** Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori and Pastel are the main characters of this fanfic series and coincidentally, they also happen to be the author's favorite characters from the four franchises involved in the crossover, too.
** The author has always wanted to see a [[MonsSeries Shonen monster battling]] anime that was also a moe Seinen Slice of Life/Idol series, too, so this fanfic series combines Mon series tropes with moe slice of life/idol anime tropes.
** A friend of the author's created the Rina x Freya pairing, and so, the author canonized the pairing and made them main characters as well alongside Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori and Pastel as of "Group Discussion!" after seeing a fan art of the pairing, and started liking it as well.
** The author is a [[YuriFan fan]] of the YuriGenre, so this universe has a good amount of girl x girl pairings.
* AvengersAssemble:
** N and Modern Sonic team up with Hilbert, Coco and Ai to battle Modern Eggman during the "Ideal Hero" story arc.
** There are times when the Nijigasaki Pokémon Trainer's Club, the Higashi Pokémon Trainer's Club and even the Hinagiku Pokémon Trainer's Club have teamed up, case in point, crossover arcs such as "Multidimensional Dark Masters".
* BackstoryHorror:
** [[spoiler:The death of Yoko's biological parents as part of her backstory.]]
** [[spoiler:As mentioned above, the destruction of civilization on Planet Mobius by Ultra Beasts as part of the backstory for the four Freedom Fighters, as if their lives back home before being transported to Shizuku's World weren't bad enough...]]
** [[spoiler:Aleena revealing that civilization has collapsed outside of northern enclaves in places such as {{UsefulNotes/Canada}}, that only the rich can afford internet and cable/satellite TV and that nations have gone to war for the remaining resources with a nuclear war between {{UsefulNotes/India}} and {{UsefulNotes/Pakistan}} being mentioned by her as well in "''Prophecy of Failure!?''"]].
* BadFuture:[[spoiler:The climate changed hothouse hellhole Earth has become during Aleena's time, in the 2060s-2070s]].
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:Yoko and Ellie will lose the final battle against Eggman as mentioned by Aleena in "''Prophecy of Failure!?''"]].
* BeachEpisode: "Bishoujo Beach Meeting".
* BeastlyBloodsports: Like ''Pokémon'' proper, the monsters battle to exhaustion and they must be treated nicely.
* {{Bifauxnen}}: Ryo Aikawa.
* BigBad: Eggman, usually. There are others depending on the story.
* BigDamnHeroes:[[spoiler:Similar to a scene from "The King Returns", Hilbert, Coco and Ai ride in on Hilda's and Shizuku's Reshiram in part 1 of the "Ideal Hero" arc, and save N and Sonic from a Fusion Bolt from the fused Kyurem]].
* BishoujoSeries: Considering all the cute girls from the four franchises involved, this is a given!
* BoardingSchool: Nijigasaki is one like it's Canon counterpart in the anime/''[=SIFAS=]'' due to the dorms being mentioned on the page for Nijigasaki on the FANDOM wiki for the series.
* BraidsOfAction: Crystal has a braided ponytail, and she's a swordswoman for/commander of the Ninth Brigade of the Royal Army of Mirstone.
* BreakTheCutie: [[spoiler:Shizuku suffers from a temporary depression after Yoko gets kidnapped and after Hilda volunteers to rescue her and Marie in a mission that involves Hilda risking her life in the ''Tokimeki Splatoon'' story "Reunion". She gets better after reuniting with her wife and daughter.]]
* BroadStrokes:
** The plot of ''Pokémon Black and White'' is more or less the same in this continuity, except that Coco is the female protagonist rather than Hilda, Sonic assists Hilbert and Coco during their journey and Eggman is the one who manipulates N into helping him rather than Ghetsis.
** The backstory of PERFECT Dream Project is the same, but this version of the group adds Hilda, Shiori, Pastel, Lillie and Freya among other non-''Love Live!'' characters.
* CallAHitPointASmeerp:A non-video game example, in addition to "Evolution" as in ''Pokémon'', Pokémon Evolution is also referred to as "Idolization" and "Pokémon Idolization", Idolization/Idolize/Idolzing being a term that originated from the original ''School Idol Festival'' game when someone idolzes two of the same card to make it stronger.
* TheCameo:
** Sonic and Eggman in "The Ideal Hero", despite being the main characters.
** Nao and Syrma from ''[[VideoGame/MugenSouls Mugen Souls Z]]'' and Tamaki Kousaka and Chizuru Kashiwagi from ''Aquapazza'' in the main stories starting with "Meeting new friends!".
** Mimi Tachikawa from ''{{Franchise/Digimon}}'', Haruka Amami from ''VideoGame/TheIdolmaster'' and Momo Kanda from ''VideoGame/WonderMomo'' make an appearance in "Bishoujo Beach Meeting", which also counts as a ''Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'' story, another series of fanfics by the author which is a crossover between ''Digimon'', ''The Idolmaster'' and ''Wonder Momo''.
** The male and female protagonists of ''Pokemon Masters'' make an appearance in "School Trainer Festival MASTERS!".
** Chiharu Aoki, a student who originally went to Kirameki High from ''Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side:1st Love'', makes an appearance in a flashback in "Otonokizaka, I Choose You!".
** The members of A-RISE and Saint Snow both appear in "Zekrom, The Dragon King!", though unforunately for them, their Pokémon are easily defeated by Zekrom!
** Cordelia from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'', or at least, a version of her that lives in modern times, and an alternate version of Pyra from ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' make an appearance in "Redhead Mania!".
** [[VideoGame/PokemonSwordAndShield Gloria]] and [[Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020 The Wachowskis (Tom and Maddie)]] appear in "A Tokimeki Christmas Party!".
** Elio (The male protagonist of the Alola based ''Pokémon'' games.) appears in the prologue of the "Rainbow Rocket Project" arc.
* CanonForeigner: Lisa/Risa, Largo/Margo, Astrid, Amelia and Ritchie, who don't have counterparts in the main ''Pokémon'' games due to the Pokémon side of the crossover being based on the games.
** Jessie and James along with their Meowth also appear in "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?" Subverted since it is implied to be their ''Pokémon'' game counterparts from ''Yellow'' and ''VideoGame/PokemonLetsGoPikachuAndLetsGoEevee''.
* CanonImmigrant: Due to this continuity being an adaptation of the ''Pokémon'' games, the versions of Risa and Margo native to this universe count.
* CastFullOfGay:Most of the human characters except for [[spoiler:Coco, Margo and Yoko's now-dead biological parents]] and the crossover characters who aren't from other [=IdolMon=] [=AUs=] like ''Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'' are LGBT in some way.
* CastFullOfPrettyBoys: The ''Boy's Side'' stories.
* CerebusSyndrome:
** A mild example, but it is noticeable in the Side Story arc that adapts and expands upon "The King Returns" from ''Pokémon Generations''. It starts becoming far more obvious once Mia and Lanzhu are introduced.
** It's even more noticeable in certain stories for the darker AU spinoff ''Tokimeki Splatoon''.
* ChildhoodFriends:
** As in ''Pokémon Black and White'', Hilda and Hilbert with Bianca and Cheren.
** As in ''SIF ALL STARS'' and the ''Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club'' anime, Ayumu Uehara and Yuu Takasaki.
** As in ''[=TokiMemo 1=]'', Shiori and Naoto.
** As in the ''Sonic'' series, Sonic and Tails as well as their Classic counterparts.
* ChromosomeCasting: As a whole, averted in comparison to most ''Love Live!'' media! But zigzagged due to some stories having only female characters (Or male characters) physically appearing in them.
* ComicBookTime: Averted like in the ''Pokémon'' games and the ''Love Live!'' anime.
* ComingOfAgeStory:Applies series-wide.
* ContinuityCameo:Elesa and Skyla's appearance in "A Nostalgic Double Battle!" shows that the Unova Gym Leaders from the games exist in the world Hilda and Hilbert originally came from, at least this version of it.
* ContinuityNod: Some examples:
** Like [[AnimalWrongsGroup Team Plasma]] in ''Pokémon [=B2W2=]'', the Eggman Empire splits into two factions, one composed of Eggman and his badniks and other villains who team up with him and another with N and five friends who agree with his ideals, and also want to help him at least keep his uncle at bay.
** In "If At First You Don't Succeed... (Or, Hilda's School of Hard PokéKnocks!)", Hilda summarizes the events of [[VideoGame/PokemonRedAndBlue Kanto]], [[VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver Johto]], [[VideoGame/PokemonRubyAndSapphire Hoenn]] and [[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Sinnoh]] to Shizuku, Jennifer, Shori and Pastel ([[BreakingTheFourthWall And also to fans of Love Live!, [=TokiMemo=] and Twinbee who may not be familiar with Pokémon or those who are new to the franchise]].).
* ContinuityPorn: Various references are made to things from the source material of the games that are adapted and in addition, certain events have also been adapted for this universe as well.
* CostumePorn:Is mostly seen in fanart for the series, in which the female characters have worn multiple outfits across various pics, just like the various outfits seen in multiple cards in both ''School Idol Festival'' and ''ALL STARS''.
* CrapsaccharineWorld:This looks like a fun, cute SchoolgirlSeries/[[DistaffCounterpart Schoolboy Series]] take on ''Pokémon'' wth the addition of School Idols, and-wait a minute, what's this? A tomboy with pale blonde hair who likes to swear used her pseudo-legendary Pokémon to [[KickTheDog send two of the protagonists flying right outside down to ground level]], [[VideoGame/SonicForces an evil jackal]] has threatened to raze Earth to the ground with the Ultra Beasts and in the future, [[spoiler:extreme climate change causes humanity to live only in the former polar/tundra areas of the world and a small scale nuclear war happens between India and Pakistan as part of Resorce Wars for whatever's left]]! Whoa!
* CrapsackWorld: Even though none of the characters will ever visit Mobius, [[spoiler:it has this status due to an Ultra Beast invasion that ended civilization as we know it there, but even before that fateful event, due to Julian Robotnik's worldwide dictatorship, it wasn't a nice place to be during that time either!]]
* CrisisCrossover:Applies to crossover arcs such as "Multidimensional Dark Masters!".
* {{Crossover}}:
** Between ''Pokémon'', ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'' in addition to characters from other franchises making cameo appearances from time to time.
** Also with ''{{Franchise/Splatoon}}'' in ''Tokimeki Splatoon''.
** With ''The Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'' in the "''[[Fanfic/MultidimensionalDarkMasters Multidimensional ]] [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Dark Masters]]''" story arc.
* CulturalCrossReference:Though there are mostly shoutouts to other pieces of Japanese media due to ''PokéLive!'' being based on 4 different franchises which originated in Japan, there are a few shoutouts to Western media since the writer of the series is from the United States.
* CurbStompBattle: As mentioned above, Eggman hands one using N's Zekrom to the Pokémon of Tsubasa, Erena, Anju, Sarah and Leah in "Zekrom, The Dragon King!".
* CurtainFic: There are various Main Stories with the couples are at home relaxing and chatting with each other, though a heartwarming example is "The Problem with Running!", where Emma comforts Risa and tries to convince her to start running again.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Applies to a few characters who originate from ''Pokémon'', ''Love Live!'', and ''[=TokiMemo=]'', such as Hilbert, who has brown hair and brown eyes, Yuri Mido, who has magenta colored hair and eyes, this version of Rina Tennoji who has pink hair and eyes and Shiori Fujisaki, who has red hair and red eyes.
* DamselInDistress:Even though the series avoids this trope usually, here are a few examples:
** Yuu in "Introducing Anata!" when Eggman appears and shoots her sunglasses with a laser gun, with the doctor daring Yuu to have a Pokémon Battle with his latest [=SWATbot=] model despite Yuu not being a Pokémon Trainer! Thankfully, [[spoiler:Hilda's and Shiori's Pokémon make short work of the robot]].
** Margo in "A Friend Indeed", which also doubles as an origin story for the friendship between her and [[VideoGame/SonicGenerations Classic]] [[VideoGame/SonicMania Sonic]] and in addition, has a MythologyGag to a scene near the beginning of ''Pokémon:The Power of Us'' where Margo is cornered by the local bullies while hurriedly trying to get somewhere (In ''The Power of Us'', a boy around Margo's age throws a lemon at her with Ash catching it and his Pikachu defeats a Phanpy one of the boys owns while in the story, a younger teenage bully throws a lid from a package of ice cream that tipped over and fell on the ground at Margo but Classic Sonic kicks the lid and quickly defeats a Phanpy one of the girls owns.).
** [[spoiler:Yoko was kidnapped by an antagonist from one of the ''Splatoon'' games in a ''Tokimeki Splatoon'' story. Thankfully, she is saved by Hilda near the end of the story]].
* DarkFic: Despite the series appearing lighthearted and fun on the surface just like regular ''Love Live!'' due to the Main Stories, the stories/arcs '''''can''''' and '''''do''''' get dark at times, as the NightmareFuel and Fridge Horror sections of the entries for the series as well as certain entries on this very page can attest to!
* DarkerAndEdgier:Oh so much! '''''Especially''''' when compared to the ultra lighthearted ''Love Live!'', ''[=TokiMemo=]'' and ''Twinbee'' franchises proper. At times, it even pushes the envelope compared to certain ''Pokémon'' games, them already having darker, more complex storylines and characters to begin with! Some examples.
** In the Side Stories and certain Special Stories.
** ''Tokimeki Splatoon'' also has it's moments where the stakes are higher for the Osaka Whites, maybe even more so than for the characters in the Side Stories!
** The crossover story arc ''Fanfic/MultidimensionalDarkMasters'' is shaping up to be this though balanced with some breather chapters, sometimes also containing humorous moments.
** In general, while this universe feels a lot like the normal versions of the franchises involved in the crossover, there are also some dark moments/backstory that also give this universe a different feel compared to the naive, full on lighthearted fun that normal ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'' provide. And thanks to [[spoiler:The death of Daisy Wakaouji]], not even the ''TMGS'' characters are immune to this either!
** Like ''Pokémon Black and White '' and unlike regular ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'', the series also dabbles into more philosohpical topics/issues like whether or not Pokémon should be modified by humans, as seen in stories like "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!".
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:Daisy, the female protagonist of ''Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 2nd Kiss'', dies due to complications relating to the birth of her twin children]].
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Similar to his canon counterpart, N becomes this to Sonic, Hilbert and Coco.
* DemotedToExtra:
** Believe it or not, the ''Muse'' and ''Aqours'' girls are only mentioned occasionally or make cameo appearances in certain stories unlike ''Love Live!'' proper, where both groups are the stars of the ''[[Anime/LoveLive School Idol Project]]'' and ''[[Anime/LoveLiveSunshine Sunshine]]'' series respectively.
** In addition, Sonic and Mega Man are background characters who rarely appear despite being two of the most popular video game characters ever (Sonic being [[{{Creator/Sega}} Sega's]] mascot and Mega Man being an (unofficial) {{Creator/Capcom}} mascot respectively.).
** If you're a male ''Pokémon'' character (such as N and Hilbert, for example), expect to be relegated to either a mention at best in a Main story or being the protagonist of a Side Story arc. Averted in the ''Boy's Side'' stories however.
** Subverted with Hilda and Shizuku for the stories that involve Yoko and her friends since the focus is on the kids despite Hilda and Shizuku still being present in certain stories and playing a major role sometimes as well.
* DenserAndWackier: Despite the humor (mostly) being more in line with the kind of humor found in a moe Seinen anime, the Main Stories are certainly more humorous than most ''Pokémon'' media.
* {{Deuteragonist}}:While the series-wide story has a varied cast, N and his group/team get as much focus as Hilda and Shizuku's group as well as Yoko, Ellie and Margo (as well as Kasumi and Osako to some extent) getting the spotlight in the Hinagiku based stories.
* DisappearedDad: Played straight for practically every character.
* DistaffCounterpart: The "Boy's Side" stories and related story arcs focus on the human male characters from ''Pokémon'' and ''[=TokiMemo=] GS'' along with male [=OCs=] in contrast to the normal ''PokéLive!'' stories, the latter of which are focused on the girls instead.
* DoorStopper:Though the individual stories/parts to various arcs themselves are only moderately long at best, the series as a whole may well become this once finished!
* TheDragon: Metal Sonic to Eggman and in turn, Eggman to N during the latter's Eggman Empire days.
** Mia is also this to Lanzhu.
* DramaBomb: Even though ''PokéLive!'' appears to be a lighthearted series on the surface and in fact, still keeps the fun/optimistic tone of ''Love Live!'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'', but '''''oh man''''', compared to the ''School Idol Project'' and ''Sunshine'' anime, and even more so to ''School Idol Festival'' and ''ALL STARS'' as well as the Nijigasaki anime, ''PokéLive!'' has much more bits of drama in it's stories at times!
** [[spoiler:The events of the original ''Pokémon Black and White'' are essentially a DarkestHour for this version of Shizuku's World]].
** [[spoiler:An Ultra Beast invasion has destroyed an alternate version of Mobius]].
** [[spoiler:Yoko's (And possibly Ellie's) bioligical parents are dead! Thankfully, both girls have wonderful mothers who adoped them]].
** [[spoiler:In a possible future, Climate Change brings down modern civilization in most of the world]].
*** [[spoiler:Not only that, the future Aleena hails from was caused by Yoko's and Ellie's defeat at the hands of Eggman]].
** [[spoiler:As part of her backstory, Shizuku didn't trust N at first, even though he has already joined the side of the good guys by that time]].
** [[spoiler:N and Eggman have a disagreement over whether or not Pokémon should be modified in "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!"]].
* DuelingMessiahs: Sonic the Hedgehog and Hilbert Blair vs. Dr. Ivo "Eggman" and N Harmonia Robotnik, with Hilbert and Sonic representing truth and N and Eggman representing ideals. If N and Eggman win, [[spoiler:not only will humans and Pokémon be separated, but Eggman will get to establish a planet-wide Eggman Empire ala ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' and he will possibly send N and his Pokémon to somewhere like [[WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM The]] [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics Void]] or Null Space]], but if Sonic and Hilbert win, [[spoiler:Everything will remain the same with the friendship between humans and Pokémon saved and no desertification of places such as Green Hill occurs in addition to N seeing the error of his ways and decides to defect from the Eggman Empire and join the heroes' side.]]
* EarlyBirdCameo:Gloria first appeared in "A Tokimeki Christmas Party!" before her first full appearance in the "[=SwSh=] Superstar!! Debut" story.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: ''Pokémon! School Idol Festival'', the previous continuity, was only composed of one shot stories with a lighthearted, comedic Seinen Slice of Life feel to them that were strictly episodic, in tune with the style of the Side Stories from the original ''LL! SIF''. The current continuity however, even though it too has the aforementioned lighthearted one shot stories, has more diversity to it's stories in addition to having stories/backstory that is more willing to go in darker directions, to having references to events that happened in official entries of the franchises involved in the crossover as well as a stronger sense of continuity and character development.
* EarthDrift: Played straight for the Pokémon World, with the FANDOM wiki for the series describing it as an Earth-like planet, but averted for Shizuku's World, since it is actually Earth, or at least a fictional version of it.
%%* ElaborateUniversityHigh: Nijigasaki High. Also, Otonokizaka High and Uranohoshi Girls' High. Hinagiku is the Elementary School variant of this and Higashi High is the all-male school version.
* EldritchAbomination: The Ultra Beasts just like in ''Pokémon'' proper, despite [[spoiler:simply being Pokémon from strange pocket universes]].
%%* ElementalPowers: All 18 Pokémon types!
%%* ElementalRockPaperScissors: It's a ''Pokémon''-based universe after all!
* TheEmpire: The Eggman Empire, of course!
* EnemyCivilWar: Similar to ''Black 2 and White 2'', Eggman Empire Black is led by Eggman, who commands an army of Badniks while the heroic Eggman Empire White is led by N with Hilbert, Coco, Ai, Yuri and Ranpha as it's members with the latter group siding with Hilda's group and Sonic's friends.
%%* TheEpic
* EternalEngine: The Titanic Monarch, where the battle that determines the fate of the Earth is fought between the Tao Dragons, in addition to it being a mech Eggman wants to use to project the power of the Eggman Empire worldwide.
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: A special armor for N's Zekrom that Eggman creates for it in "Zekrom, The Dragon King!" is described as having the appearance of a samurai.
* EvilCounterpart: The Phantom Ruby compared to the Chaos Emeralds and the Mega Stones.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin:As the name of the series implies, it's a crossover between ''Tokimeki Memorial'', ''Pokémon'', ''Love Live!'' and ''Twinbee''!
* ExcusePlot:'''Massively averted''' thanks to there being an overall overarching storyline for the series despite the existence of the [[SliceOfLife Main Stories]].
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: Played straight for the Pokémon world, but averted for Love Live!Earth, the latter being the main setting of the stories.
* FantasyGunControl: Subverted due to the various robots/Badniks/mechs that Eggman uses, but played straight with everyone who's a Pokémon Trainer.
* FerrisWheelDateMoment: A romantic scene with Hilda and Shizuku as well as Bianca and Jennifer getting on the Nimbasa City ferris wheel happens in "A Nostalgic Double Battle!".
* FictionalVideoGame:In the early story "Nintendo Dream Guest Reviews!", Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori and Pastel review a ''Pokémon'' clone for the Platform/NintendoSwitch called ''Terra Battlers'', which was co-developed by {{Creator/Konami}} and Capcom.
* FightingSeries: In another first for a ''Love Live!'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' based universe, Pokémon Battles between Pokémon Trainers are common, both in the Main Stories and Side Stories in addition to the never ending struggle between Sonic and Co. & Dr. Eggman.
* FireIceLightning: Reshiram, Kyurem and Zekrom due to their secondary typings.
* FormFittingWardrobe:Azure wears a pink sheer/see-through spandex undergarment under her black sleeveless minidress as part of a variant of her casual/default outfit.
* FormulaBreakingEpisode: The Side Story arcs as well as major crossover arcs tend to have much more action and there is usually a villain for the heroes and heroines to fight, the Special Stories tend to be more scary/sad and in more rare cases, dramatic, the Boy's Side stories focus on the guys of the series instead of the girls, the ''[=SwSh=] Superstar!!'' stories focus on Gloria as well as the [[Anime/LoveLiveSuperstar Liella!]] girls (Kanon, Sumire, Keke, Chisato and Ren) with occasional cameos from other ''Pokémon [=SwSh=]'' characters as well as the other ''PokéLive!'' characters and the Hinagiku based stories focus more on Yoko and her classmates as well as Beverly, Azure and to some extent, Kasumi and Osako.
* FreeRangeChildren: Applies to everyone since the mothers of various characters don't have much in terms of physical appearances in the various stories and due to the girls living alone or with friends/lovers.
* FriendlyEnemy: Like his canonical counterpart, N starts out as this to Hilbert and Coco and to a lesser extent, Sonic.
%%* FriendlyRivalry: The PDP girls have this with each other.
* FusionFic: Combines the general lightheartedness of ''Love Live!'' with the darker aspects of ''Pokémon'' media such as the main games, ''Adventures'', ''Origins'' and ''Generations'' and in addition, ''[=TokiMemo=]'' and ''Twinbee'' in general. On the story side of things, the series combines slice of life style one shots with multipart action/adventure oriented arcs.
* TheFuture: The near future to be precise, as seen in the stories that involve Yoko and her friends.
* GenreMashup:The series is a conbination of [[{{Mon}} Mons]], the IdolGenre, [[YuriGenre Yuri]], SliceOfLife and action/adventure!
%%* GirlyGirl: Shizuku, Shiori, Bianca, Koyuki, Rina, Ayumu, Rebecca and Freya among others.
* TheGhost:
** Ash Ketchum has been mentioned in "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?", though he has never made an appearance in any ''PokéLive!'' story. Red, Ethan, Brendan and Lucas have also only been mentioned and have not made a physical appearance so far, an example being "If At First You Don't Succeed...".
** Alder gets a mention on Hilda's page on the FANDOM wiki for the series, but hasn't made an appearance, not even in a flashback scene of any kind.
** Ayumu's Childhood Friend (The PlayerCharacter of ''SIF ALL STARS''), or at least, the concept of her, is mentioned in "The Legend of Rainbow-chan!", though she finally makes her ''PokéLive!'' debut in "Introducing Anata!".
** Kurt (The eldery man from Azalea City who can make special Poké Balls from Apricorns you have collected in ''Gold and Silver'' as well as their DS remakes.) was mentioned by Rosa in "Ruby Catches a (Mythical) Pokémon!" but he doesn't make an on-screen appearance in said story.
* GlobalWarming: Mentioned in [[spoiler:"''Prophecy of Failure!?''" as happening due to Eggman mastering technologies that are even more polluting than current tech in Yoko's, Ellie's and Margo's time or for that matter, in Hilda's and Shizuku's time]].
* GorgeousGaijin: Hilda, Risa, Emma, Mia, Lanzhu, Pastel, Gloria, Freya, Jennifer, Cheren, N, Hilbert, Beverly and Azure.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Surprisingly averted due to none of the characters going on traditional Pokémon journeys in the series with the sole exceptions of Hilbert and Coco, who journeyed in Unova during the time that Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori and Pastel were still students at Otonokizaka High.
* GratuitousItalian: At the end of "The Problem with Running!", Risa and Emma tell each other "Ti amo" ("I love you").
** Emma says "Eccellente" ("Excellent") in "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?".
* GratuitousRussian:On Charlotte's Toyhou.se bio, her name and nickname are both listed in Russian in addition to English, and the same applies to the nickname for her Alolan Ninetales.
* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:Infinite from ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' was behind the retcon for this universe that follows ''School Idol Festival All Stars''. Instead of retconning Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori and Pastel out of existence, the Phantom Ruby added the six ''Perfect Dream Project'' members who weren't originally Transfer Students in SIF to this universe as if they have lived there all along.]]
* GrowingWithTheAudience: Similar to the ''Pokémon'' games in the 5th Gen onwards, this universe also tackles various mature subjects like villainous relatives (Eggman as N's uncle being a case in point), alternate dimensions, extra-dimensional apocalypses, [[spoiler:the death of loved ones (Biological parents in this case.)]] and more. Though Eggman still retains his goofy larger-than-life persona his game counterpart does, he tries to kill not only N, his nephew, but also Sonic, his arch-rival, in this universe's version of "The King Returns" from ''Generations''. There are also nods to the competitive aspects of the ''Pokémon'' games as well. For ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'' fans, whether or not this universe succeeds at being darker is up to the reader.
* HappilyAdopted: [[spoiler:Yoko by Hilda and Shizuku and Elesis/Ellie by [[{{VideoGame/Aquapazza}} Tamaki and Chizuru]].]]
* HeelFaceTurn: Natural Harmonia Blair [[spoiler:defects from the Eggman Empire]] an unknown amount of time before the events of "The Ideal Hero".
* HideYourLesbians: '''Averted'''!
* HopeSpot: In [[spoiler:"Prophecy of Failure!?", after learning that Yoko and Ellie lost the final battle against Modern Eggman, Classic Sonic promises that he will help Yoko and Ellie defeat him when the time comes and to also avert the terrifying Climate Changed future Aleena comes from as well]].
* HumanAlien: [[spoiler:In the extra-dimensional sense for Aki Momohara (''My Sweet Roomies!'') in the story "Aki Momohara-chan steals the spotlight!". Despite not being Fallers,]] the ''Pokémon'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' girls as well as Pastel qualify seeing as they originally came from other dimensions.
* HumanFocusedAdaptation: Considering how certain Pokémon humans are the stars of this universe, this is a given. However, it is subverted since there are also stories where the Pokémon owned by their Trainers appear due to a Pokémon Battle happening within the story.
* IDoNotOwn: The author gives credit for the Canon characters who appear in each story to their company of origin in the description of each story on Deviant Art, but averted with the characters that the author has created for this universe.
* IWillFindYou: Averted for both Hilda and Hilbert in regards to N in this continuity, [[spoiler:since Hilbert along with Coco join N on his journey to discover his true purpose in life outside the Eggman Empire]] and Hilda as well as the other members of her group don't meet N until an unspecified point later on.
* IdolSinger: Of the School Idol variety as per the ''Love Live!'' series, as mentioned by some of the characters in the main stories.
* ImprobablyFemaleCast: The slice of life stories play this straight. Averted for the Side Stories however.
* InTheirOwnImage: What Eggman plans to do after he conquers the world.
* InterspeciesFriendship:
** As always with anything ''Pokémon'', the bond between a Pokémon and it's human Trainer is on display in certain stories.
** Hilda's friendship with Modern Sonic and likewise, Yoko's friendship with Classic Sonic.
** Shizuku's friendship with Rock (Mega Man), a Robot Master, as seen in "Singin' in the Rain!".
* {{Irony}}: This fanfic series is not only one of the more lighthearted ''Pokémon'' canons out there, but it is also one of, if not, the darkest Love Live! universes in existence!
* {{Iyashikei}}: Ditto, at least for the main slice of life stories.
* {{Jerkass}}: Eggman, though at least he isn't this to the extent Ghetsis is!
* {{Joshikousei}}: During the high school years of the Nijigasaki Academy girls.
* KidHero:Every single child or teen character! Averted for N, Hilbert and Coco, with the guys being 19 and Coco being 18.
* KnightOfCerebus:
** Metal Sonic in the "Maximum Metal" story arc.
** Mia Taylor... '''''OH MAN, THIS UNIVERSE'S VERSION OF MIA'''''!!! She is shaping up to be this thanks to her threat near the end of "Big Trouble in Little Odaiba! (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love my Asshole "Friends!")". And then, in "Mia Taylor's First PP!", she [[spoiler:Has her Hydreigon use Hyper Voice to blow Hilda and Shizuku right down to the outside premises of Nijigasaki right after she easily defeats their Reshiram, thus showing what a more brutal Pokémon Trainer on Earth is capable of]]! In addition, this universe's version of Lanzhu Zhong has shown shades of this during "Mia Taylor's First PP!" as well.
** [[spoiler:The Ultra Beasts that wrecked Mobius]].
** [[spoiler:The unnamed leaders of India and Pakistan who waged a nuclear war in the future from "Prophecy of Failure!?"]].
* LargeHam:
** '''EGGMAN!''' Just like most of his counterparts!
** Mutsuki Takamagahara in "Hilda's and Shizuku's Ice Cream Date!" when talking about being skillful at setting the stage up for Hilda's and Shizuku's previous play.
** James in "Risa's and Emma's Double Trouble!?".
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: [[spoiler:Due to her going through Ultra Space, when Mario and Sonic discover Aki in "Aki Momohara-chan steals the spotlight!", Aki doesn't remember a thing. Thankfully, she gets better, and quickly.]]
* LighterAndSofter: While ''PokéLive!'' is at least one of the darkest ''Love Live!'', ''[=TokiMemo=]'' and ''Twinbee'' continuities and certainly has a more mature running compared to most ''Pokémon'' continuities, it still has the optimistic, fun-filled tone that LL! and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' are known for, the Main Stories can be humorous at times and even better, the likes of Ghetsis, [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon Motherbeast Lusamine]] (Though at least Original [=SuMo=]!Lusamine is remorseful of her actions during the Ultra Deep Sea incident.)]], [[VideoGame/PokemonColosseum Team Cipher]] and Hunter J, the most vile ''Pokémon'' villains, are nowhere to be found! Other examples include:
** The main slice of life stories.
** For the most part, this can also apply to the stories with Yoko, Ellie and Margo as the main characters.
* LikeRealityUnlessNoted: For the most part, the series takes place on an alternate version of Earth from the ''Love Live!'' franchise, though locations from ''Sonic'' games also exist there. Likewise, Pokémon coexist alongside regular animals.
* LimelightSeries: The premise of the Side Story arcs, which give characters outside the main group of six featured in the Main Stories (Hilda, Shizuku, Shiori, Pastel, Risa and Emma) their chance to shine:
** The first Side Story arc, "The Ideal Hero" stars Sonic, N and Eggman with a confrontation between the evil scientist and the heroes.
* LimitBreak: Z-Moves, which are very strong moves that can only be used by Trainers who have the appropriate Z-Crystal along with a Z-Ring.
** Mega Evolution also counts as well.
* LimitedWardrobe:'''Massively Averted''' thanks to the girls wearing various outfits, both across various stories and in fan art!
* MassivelyMultiplayerCrossover: In addition to this crossover having μs, Aqours and the Nijigasaki girls in the same time frame concurrently just like ''SIF ALL STARS'', the series is also a crossover between ''Pokémon'', ''Love Live!'', ''Tokimeki Memorial'' and ''Twinbee'' in addition to characters from other Nintendo, Bushiroad and Konami franchises making appearances from time to time along with characters outside the Nintendo/Bushiroad/Konami sphere appearing as well!
* TheMatchmaker:The OriginalCharacter Sara Fujisaki Cerise, but it's mainly PlayedForLaughs in certain fan arts of the series with her in them.
* MeaningfulName: Just like in ''Pokémon'' proper, Hilda's first name means "battle woman".
* MineralMacGuffin: The various Mega Stones as well as the Phantom Ruby.
* MissingMom: Yoko's mother [[spoiler:due to her, as well as Yoko's father, both being dead]].
* MoodWhiplash: The series contrasts from Main Stories are lighthearted and funny at times in one story, but then, a Side Story arc has some serious moments or some scary/sad bit of backstory is revealed in the next and back!
* {{Mon}}: ''Pokémon'' is one of the four franchises involved in this crossover series, after all.
* MsFanservice: Even though the fanservice is downplayed some just like Love Live! proper, in fan art on rare occasions, Hilda and Jennifer have their moments of this.
* MultipleDemographicAppeal: Combining various tropes from Mons series, Idol series, Dating Sims and Otome Games among other things, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
* MythArc: A few major ones spanning all across the series so far:
** The "''Nijigasaki Saga''", which focuses on Hilda White and her friends' journey to become School Idols while also balancing that out with bettering themselves as Pokémon Trainers while also showing various battles between the protagonists and their allies and various villains, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik being the main recurring villain.
** The "''Hinagiku Saga''", which focuses on Yoko Catherine Osaka White, Elesis Kashiwagi Kousaka and Margo, with the girls establishing their own Pokémon Trainer's Club inspired by the Nijigasaki Academy Pokémon Trainer's Club some years before while Eggman and other villains continue opposing the heroines and their allies/loved ones.
** The "''Harmonia Robotnik Saga''", the stories in which the focus is on Natural "N" Harmonia Blair and his struggle to adapt to the real world after defecting from the Eggman Empire with the help of various allies, especially his own heroic team, Eggman Empire White.
** A major story arc involving the ''[=PokéLive!=]'' and ''[=Digi-iMas=]'' protagonists teaming up to battle the Dark Masters, who are out to merge the Earths of both universes.
* MythologyGag: There are various references to/similarity with events from official entries of the franchises involved in the crossover, which can be seen [[MythologyGag/TokimekiPokeLiveAndTwinbee here]].
%% * MundaneMadeAwesome: The premise of certain Main Stories, just like any proper Slice of Life anime!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:N-Z]]
%% * {{Narcissist}}: Mutsuki, since it's one of her personality traits in this universe, but thankfully, it only shows on occasion during [[PlayedForLaughs the times she is trying to be funny]].
%% ** For a villainous example that's played straight, Lanzhu.
* NatureIsNotNice: With the exception of Rina's Kartana, Ultra Beasts, at least those in other universes/dimensions, have no qualms about causing a ton of destruction.
** Likewise, Hilda basically says that Pokémon can be dangerous in "A Trip to the Pet Shop!".
%% * NeverSayDie: Usually averted, though subverted since alternate terms are used sometimes.
%% * NiceGirl: Practically everyone in the main stories.
* NoAntagonist: Applies to the main stories, but averted on occasion in the Side Stories, Special Stories, the major crossover arcs and in ''Tokimeki Splatoon''.
* NoHuggingNoKissing: Unlike the regular ''Pokémon'' and ''Love Live!'' canons, Averted.
* OfficialCouple: For this universe, [[spoiler:Hilda & Shizuku, Bianca & Jennifer, Rina & Freya, Rosa & Ruby, Misty & You, Yancy & Akiru and in their early teen years, Yoko & Elesis/Ellie.]]
* OneGenderSchool:
** Nijigasaki High is an all-girls school, like it's canon version.
** Hinagiku Elementary is also an all-girls school like Nijigasaki.
** Higashi High is an all-boys school.
** Yuigaoka Girls' High in the ''[=SwSh=] Superstar!!'' stories is an all-girls school, like in the ''Love Live! Superstar!!'' anime. Likewise, Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi Girl's High are also all-girls schools as well.
* OneShotFic: The Main Stories are episodic and self-contained, though info that's important to the plot is revealed sometimes. The Special Stories are this as well, though they tie in more to the ongoing arc of the series rather than being self-contained Slice of Life style stories the Main Stories are.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname:
** N or N-kun for well, N.
** Ellie or Ellie-chan for Elesis.
** Anya or Anya-chan for Charlotte.

** The Uranohoshi Girls' High Pokémon Trainer's Club.

** Even though they still appear in the Hinagiku based stories, Hilda and Shizuku only appear on occasion and when they do, they play a more supporting role to Yoko, Ellie, Sara, Beverly and Azure.
* OutsideContextProblem: Ultra Beasts, at least in other dimensions, since they are a menace to other life forms.
* PatchworkFic: Fula City from ''Anime/PokemonThePowerOfUs'' exists in this universe's version of the Pokémon World, which is otherwise based on the one from the games.
* PerpetualFrowner: According to her Toyhou.se bio, Ellie has this the very rare times that she enters her "serious mode" personality.
* PrecisionFStrike: Though only minor swears are used so far, the words "Damn", "Hell" and "Asshole" are seen in certain stories as well as the "Multidimensional Dark Masters" story arc.

* PokemonSpeak: Averted, with the Pokémon implied as using more realistic sounds in-universe.
* PreviouslyOn: The second, third and fourth parts of the Side Story arcs have some narration describing what happened in previous parts, and the same applies to part two onwards of crossover arcs and other multi-part stories.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt:
** Despite being more of a tomboy typically, Hilda wears pantyhose with her Nijigasaki High uniform on school days to show her girly side.
** Even though her Nijigasaki High uniform averts this trope, Shizuku's Pokémon Trainer outfit fulfills this trope, since she wears pantyhose with the outfit.
%% * QueerRomance: There are multiple Lesbian and Gay couples across the series.
* TheQuietOne:On her Toyhou.se bio, Ellie also has this trope in effect when her personality enters the "serious mode", choosing not to speak during those moments.
* RedemptionRejection: Similar to ''The King Returns'' from ''Pokémon Generations'', N tells Eggman that Pokémon and Humans can achieve great things together, but Eggman calls his speech boring, then decides to command Black Kyurem to destroy his arch enemies with a Fusion Bolt, [[spoiler:but Sonic and N get to live another day thanks to the efforts of Hilbert, Coco, Ai and a Reshiram Hilda and Shizuku co-own.]]
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: While ''School Idol Festival'' or ''All Stars'' doesn't say anything about Ai Miyashita possibly being related to Coco Miyashita, they are cousins in this canon.
* {{Retcon}}:
** The events of ''Pokémon [=BW1=]'', [[spoiler:at least, from the time N's Castle rises out of the ground to the ending, where N rides on the opposing dragon to parts unknown]] take place in Shizuku's World, albeit with some minor differences, as stated elsewhere on this page.
** The events of ''SIF ALL STARS'' also take place here, although Hilda, Lillie and Freya alongside certain other girls also become PERFECT Dream Project members in this continuity.
** In this universe, Eggman was the creator of the Mega Stones, unlike in the ''Pokémon'' games, where no one has been revealed to be the creator of them so far.
%% * Rule50
* SchoolgirlSeries: The main slice of life stories during the teen years of the protagonists. Averted for the stories that take place during the adult years of the protagonists and their allies.
%% * SenseiChan: Kasumi Asou and for a genderflipped example, Chikara Osako.
* SeriesFic: In addition to the various stories being part of a universe all their own, this universe, alongside ''Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'', makes up a portion of the ''[=IdolMon=] Multiverse'', a series of fanfics/fan art for crossovers between mons series and idol series.
* SeriousBusiness:
** Pokémon Battles, of course! At least amongst those who become Trainers.
** The dark, bitter rivalry Hilda and Shizuku have with Mia and Lanzhu, which has some similarities with Ash's rivalry with Paul in ''Anime/PokemonTheSeriesDiamondAndPearl'', is played seriously.
* ShipSinking: '''Ferris Wheel Shipping''', due to Hilda falling in love with Shizuku and N taking a liking to Hilbert and eventually Coco.
* ShipTease: Between Pastel and Mutsuki Takamagahara in "Hilda's and Shizuku's Ice Cream Date!".
** [[spoiler:Between N and Hilbert in the Side Story "The Ideal Hero Part 1" with Hilbert hugging N]].
** [[spoiler:Between Hilda and Shizuku in "Shizuku's Confession" with Hilda and Shizuku becoming girlfriends at that point]].
** Between this universe's version of Cordelia and Pyra in "Redhead Mania!".
* ShortLivedLeadership: [[spoiler:Eggman and N conquer Japan after N defeats the Prime Minister in a Pokémon Battle, but once Sonic along with Hilbert and Coco defeated both, Japan returned to normal with neither Robotnik becoming Supreme Leader of {{UsefulNotes/Japan}} in the end]].
* ShownTheirWork: In spades, from all the references and nods (famous and obscure) to the franchises involved to how faithful the mechanics of the Pokémon Battles are to those in the games.
** Bonus points for the fact that the author mentions that Sonic and Eggman battled before the events of the original ''[[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1991 Sonic the Hedgehog]]'' game on Eggman's page on the FANDOM wiki for the series.
* ShoutOut: Not only are there references to various fictional franchises old and new, but also ones to official entries in the franchises involved in the crossover, a list of which can be seen [[ShoutOut/TokimekiPokeLiveAndTwinbee here]].
%% * SirSwearsALot:Like in ''SIFAS'', Mia.
* SliceOfLife: The premise of the Main Stories. Averted with the Side Story arcs and major crossover arcs, which have Pokémon-on-Pokémon action through Pokémon Battles as their usual premise instead.
* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism: While there are certainly some darker moments scattered throughout the series and N's backstory is pretty much the same as it is in the Unova based ''Pokémon'' games (Though at least N's ideals were simply warped by Eggman, a hammy scientist who also manages to be a cartoonish villain instead of his ''PokéLive!'' counterpart also experiencing [[spoiler:Ghetsis's abusive ways and derogatory names that he was called that his Canon counterpart had to endure]].), various Main Stories as well as the Side Story arcs have strong examples of ThePowerOfLove and ThePowerOfFriendship on display, and since the series takes place on the ''Love Live!'' version of Earth, there are also lots of lighthearted activities such as School Idols and an Iyashikei-like tone for the Main Stories that also allows ''Tokimeki Memorial''-ish romance to flourish not to mention the potential for humor and the Side Story arcs and crossover arcs and other action/adventure oriented arcs such as "Hilda and Setsuna Yuki:Maximum Metal" show that good always triumphs over evil, thus placing ''PokéLive!'' firmly on the Idealistic end of the scale.
* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler:Hilbert and Coco befriending N causes the latter to leave the Eggman Empire, causing N to realize that everything Eggman has ever said to him was a lie as well as Eggman losing an ally '''''much''''' stronger than even Metal Sonic who would have basically been the Pokémon Trainer equivalent of a super soldier]].
* SpinOff:
** ''Tokimeki PokéLive! And Twinbee Side Stories'', a series of Shonen action/adventure style stories with appearances from male characters from the Pokémon franchise and appearances from different male video game characters such as [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog]] [[spoiler:in addition to characters such as Coco Miyashita and Ai Miyashita getting to play the role of heroines, at least temporarily,]] for example. Despite the moniker, the arcs are Canon to this universe.
** ''Tokimeki Splatoon'', an AU which is also a collab between the writer and a friend of his, Serene-Rainfall, which has stories that are darker than the usual ''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee'' fare [[spoiler: with Yoko's and Marie's kidnapping in one story and even Hilda getting beaten up and bloodied slightly by a villain from the ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}'' games when rescuing Yoko and Marie in another!]]
** ''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee:Boy's Side'', which is similar to the Main Stories and with Side Story arcs of it's own but with nothing but male characters, both versions of canonical Pokémon and ''VisualNovel/TokimekiMemorialGirlsSide'' male characters alongside original male characters created exclusively for this universe.
** ''Tokimeki PokéLive! and Twinbee Sword and Shield Superstar!!'', which is focused on Gloria as well as Kanon, Keke, Chisato, Sumire and Ren with other ''Pokémon [=SwSh=]'' and ''PokéLive!'' characters cameoing on occasion.
* SpiritualAntithesis:
** The series is this to ''Anime/PokemonOrigins'' and ''WebAnimation/PokemonGenerations''. While all three are aimed at an older audience complete with darker/more mature moments, on the other hand, ''PokéLive!'' also balances the darker/edgier stuff out with lighthearted stories along with humorous scenes and cuesty ship teasing/romance aplenty in a sharp contrast to the [[DarkerAndEdgier completely serious]] angle of ''Origins'' and ''Generations'', and the fan art for ''PokéLive!'' is typically drawn in cutesy art styles, including the ''Love Live!'' art style itself on rare occasions compared to the typical ''Pokémon'' styled art of ''Origins'' and the harder edged Shonen styled art of ''Generations''.
** On the other hand, unlike the Nijigasaki based ''Love Live!'' anime as well as the two Bushiroad/[=KLab=] ''LL!'' mobile games, which are [[LighterAndSofter naive, lighthearted fun all the way]], ''PokéLive!'' also goes into darker territory, complete with terrifying bits of lore as well as going into more philosophical topics/issues such as the disagreement N and Eggman have about modifying Pokémon in stories like "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!".
** To the ''Love Live!'' doujin ''Manga/SchoolIdolDays'' since it shows that there can be a more mature ''LL!'' based fanon series that also has plenty of scary moments without the characters or their Pokémon (For those who became Trainers at least.) [[spoiler:shedding any blood and without showing any excessive violence/brutality on-screen]]. In addition, on the ''Pokémon'' side of things, ''PokéLive!'' also shows that there can be a darker story based on the Unova games even without Ghetsis making an appearance whatsoever.
* SpiritualSuccessor: In a way, to ''Pokémon Origins'' and ''Pokémon Generations'' since this continuity is more faithful to the ''Pokémon'' games, the series is aimed at older teen/adult fans of ''Pokémon'' and ''Love Live!'' and the stories/backstory can get quite dark at times.
* SpotlightStealingCrossover:Even though the series is promoted by the writer as a general ''Pokémon'', ''Love Live!'', ''[=TokiMemo=]'' and ''Twinbee'' crossover, the series mostly stars the main characters from the Unova based games (Especially those from the first ''Pokémon Black and White'', minus Ghetsis.), Risa and Margo from the ''Pokémon'' anime movie ''The Power of Us'', the Nijigasaki girls, certain characters from ''[=TokiMemo=] 1 and 2'' and Pastel from the ''Twinbee'' games along with 5 different OCs the author created for the stories of the Hinagiku Saga (Yoko, Elesis/Ellie, Sara, Beverly and Azure).
* StoryArc: Averted for the slice of life styled stories, but played straight for the Side Stories, crossovers and other action/adventure oriented stories.
%% * StrongFamilyResemblance: Hilda and her mom Staci.
%% ** Likewise, Hilda and Yoko.
* SuddenlySpeaking:This version of Classic Sonic, in contrast to his canon counterpart.
%% * TakeOverTheWorld: Eggman's ultimate goal, as always.
* TeamRocketWins: [[spoiler:Eggman and N briefly took over Japan thanks to the defeat of Japan's Prime Minister, mirroring Alder's defeat to N during the events of [=BW1=], though Hilbert and Coco won against the doctor and his nephew sometime after. In a possible future, Eggman actually defeats the Pokémon of Yoko and Ellie during their final battle as well.]]
* ThematicSeries:''PokéLive!'', like all other entries of the ''[=IdolMon=] Multiverse'' like ''Wonder [=DigiIdolmaster=]'', is about idols who have mons as partners who help them battle evil that also doubles as a DarkerAndEdgier take on the Idol series/LighterAndSofter take on the Mon series involved in the crossover while also staying faithful to what said series are about in the first place.
%% * TimeTravel: Happens a few times in the series.
* {{Tomboy}}: Hilda and Pastel by virtue of being Hilda and Pastel. Jennifer and Mutsuki also have shades of this. In addition, Yuri Mido, Fuu Saiki, Ryo Aikawa and others are tomboys, too.
* ToBeAMaster: Hilbert aspires to be this in terms of Pokémon and Hilda is this in regards to the Battle Subway back in Unova before she ended up in Shizuku's World while the teen characters (As well as Yoko, Ellie and Margo) aspire to be this in terms of School Idols and Shizuku wishes to be this as a professional Theatre actress someday.
%% * TokyoIsTheCenterOfTheUniverse
%% * TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Hilda and Shizuku, Jennifer and Bianca and Pastel and Mutsuki.
%% * TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Hilda, Jennifer and Pastel.
* TookALevelInBadass:
** The ''Love Live!'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' characters who decide to take up Pokémon Training.
** Rina freakin' Tennoji, the only character with an '''''Ultra Beast''''' as one of her Pokémon, namely Kartana!
** A meta example, due to the Side Story arcs, the Special Stories with more intense Pokémon Battles in them and the major crossover arcs all taking inspiration from ''Origins'', ''Generations'', the ''Adventures'' manga and the animated trailers, especially the [=BW2=] one, and thus, making those stories feel more like a traditional Shonen action type series as well as this universe's versions of Mia and Lanzhu not fucking around with both being taken much more seriously as villains, regular ''Love Live!'' and to some extent, regular ''Tokimeki Memorial'', may come off as much more mundane to some.
* TrappedInAnotherWorld: [[spoiler:Aki was originally from the world that the mobile VisualNovel ''My Sweet Roomies!'' takes place in, but an Ultra Wormhole appeared, sucking her in before she could get away, and after a quick trip through [[VideoGame/SonicMania Studiopolis Zone]], she ends up in this version of the ''Love Live!'' universe where she quickly becomes friends with Ayumu Uehara, and where she will become a School Idol alongside the others, happily accepting her new life.]]
* TruerToTheText: While liberties are taken here and there, the various stories are quite faithful to everything that's adapted, especially to the ''Pokémon'' games.
* TwentyMinutesIntoThePast: Yoko, Ellie and Margo have traveled back in time a few years to the present day of the series before in certain stories.
* UltimateUniverse: Takes characters and elements from various canons of the franchises involved and has them all in the same universe while also having it's own unique characters exclusive to itself.
%%* UrbanFantasy
* ValentinesDayEpisodes: "A Chocolate Surprise!", where Hilda asks Kanata to make some homemade chocolates for her to give to Shizuku due to not knowing how to make homemade candy.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow:
** The Main Stories make this a lighthearted comedy series, and then [[spoiler:the Ultra Beasts attack another world, and destroy it in the process in "Planet Mobius, Destroyed but Never Forgotten!?"]].
** Once they appear, Mia and Lanzhu, as stated above.
* VillainEpisode:So far, the story "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!", which focuses on Eggman and N (Back when the latter was still part of the Eggman Empire.).
* WaxingLyrical: In "The Origin (Of the Nijigasaki Pokémon Trainer's Club)!", Hilda mentions something about "[[Anime/PokemonTheSeries Being the best, like no one ever was]]!".
%% * WellIntentionedExtremist: N, at first.
%% ** Eggman, since certain events in his past caused him to think that the world would be better off if he was in control.
* WhamShot: In "The Ideal Hero", while seeing Reshiram save Sonic and N was expected, [[spoiler:seeing Hilbert and especially ''Coco Miyashita and Ai Miyashita'' commanding Hilda's and Shizuku's Reshiram was not]].
** From the same story, seeing ''Sonic'' cornered by Eggman's Black Kyurem alongside N.
* WhamEpisode:"Planet Mobius, Destroyed, but Never Forgotten!?".
** "A Somber Mother's Day!?", [[spoiler:since it reveals how Yoko's biological parents died before she was adopted by Hilda and Shizuku in addition to revealing the fate of this version of Daisy, the ''Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 2'' protagonist]].
** [[spoiler:"Prophecy of Failure!?", as mentioned in certain tropes above]].
** "Zekrom, The Dragon King!", which shows how powerful the Eggman Empire has gotten in the leadup to the finale of this universe's take on the ''Pokémon Black and White'' games, where Eggman uses N's Zekrom to handily defeat the Pokémon of the members of the School Idol groups A-RISE and Saint Snow.
** "Cretaceous Hunters and Pennsylvanian Giants, Oh My!" which shows that [[spoiler:Eggman revives Genesect in this universe, just like Scientist Dudley did in the games and also reveals that his grandfather, [[VideoGame/SonicAdventure2 Gerald]] [[VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog Robotnik]] was the creator of Mewtwo in this universe rather than it being the creation of an independent scientist (As in the games)/Team Rocket (As in the main anime)]].
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: After "School Trainer Festival MASTERS!", Scottie and Bettie from ''VideoGame/PokemonMasters'' never appear in any other story.
* WholeEpisodeFlashback: "A Nostgic Daydream!" has Shizuku remembering the day she moved to Tokyo in the form of a flashback before her, Hilda and Shiori go to Kasumi's place to meet Akiha Yuki, the latter being from the mobile game ''Tokimeki Idol''.
* WholePlotReference: Quite a few:
** It's implied that the events of ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'' happened in Shizuku Osaka's world (Earth), but with the additions of Sonic and Coco aiding Hilbert and Eggman being the true mastermind behind the deception of N rather than Ghetsis.
*** Just like the original games, Hilbert and Hilda are best friends with Bianca and Cheren and both befriend (And in the case of Hilbert as well as Coco, fall in love with.) N.
*** N awakens and befriends the first dragon (Zekrom in this case) [[spoiler:while the protagonist(s) (Hilbert and Coco) awaken and befriend Reshiram, the opposite dragon, in the Titanic Monarch]].
*** [[spoiler:Eggman takes the hero and heroine on after N loses to them, just like how Ghetsis does to Hilbert or Hilda in the original games]].
*** [[spoiler:Though the hero and heroine join him, N goes on a journey elsewhere after Eggman's defeat]].
** Like the original ''School Idol Festival'', Shizuku and certain other students originally went to Otonokizaka High.
** Like Team Plasma in ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2'', the Eggman Empire splits into two different factions, one with N as the leader and one with Eggman as the leader, who oppose each other.
*** Though an adaptation of "The King Returns" from ''Pokémon Generations'', N confronts Eggman with some help just like he does to Ghetsis in [=BW2=].
** Similar to ''SIF ALL STARS'', μs, Aqours and PERFECT Dream Project are all School Idol groups in the same span on time.
*** Also like ''SIF ALL STARS'', this version of PDP also has more than 9 members with the additions of certain ''Pokémon'' and ''Tokimeki Memorial'' girls in addition to Pastel from ''Twinbee''.
** "Gemstone of Illusion" is similar to the plot of the story "Altered States" from ''[[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics Archie Sonic the Hedgehog]]'' Issue 101, complete with the characters experiencing alternate realities and one of the characters knowing the truth, and as a result, breaking the illusions.
** The first part of the "Ideal Hero" Side Story arc adapts "The King Returns" from ''Pokémon Generations'' while parts 2-4 expand on it, complete with a battle between Reshiram and Black Kyurem.
* TheWorldIsAlwaysDoomed:The heroines (and heroes) typically have to stop various villains from destroying, or in Eggman's case, taking over the world, with a somewhat distrubing frequency despite the series being an adaptation of a lighthearted mobile RhythmGame based on an cutesy idol anime! Some examples:
** Eggman is always trying to take over the world, but thankfully, the good guys have stopped him so far (with one exception ...)
** [[spoiler:Infinite wants to destroy Shizuku's World using an army of Ultra Beasts, and the heroes/heroines will have to be ready to stop him when the time comes.]]
** The Dark Masters wish to merge the worlds that ''PokéLive!'' and ''Digi-iMas'' take place in during the "Multidimensional Dark Masters" arc, and the heroes/heroines of both worlds must team up to stop them.
%% * WorldOfBadass: For the most part.
%% * YamatoNadeshiko: Shizuku, like her canon counterpart.
* YinYangClash: [[spoiler:Invoked in the final battle of Sonic and Hilbert vs. Eggman and N in Eggman's Castle/N's Fortress in this universe's take on the events of ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite''. While the battle is close, Sonic and Hilbert barely won in the end.]]
