The Marvel Gems Universe (or Earth-2013) is a series of crossovers between ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'' and ''Creator/MarvelComics'' set within their own shared universe created by Creator/{{Lightyearpig}}. The stories included are as followed:

* [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12477042/1/Clod-on-the-Run Clod on the Run]] (ComicBook/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy crossover): The Guardians of the Galaxy are assigned by Yellow Diamond to capture a renegade Peridot residing on Earth, which is where they meet the Crystal Gems.
* Secret Wars (two-part crossover with ComicBook/TheAvengers)
** [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12730603/1/Steven-Universe-Secret-Wars-Search-for-the-Six Part 1: Search for the Six]]: When the Crystal Gems are investigated by [[ComicBook/IronMan Tony Stark]] under orders from ComicBook/{{SHIELD}}, they find themselves teaming up with the Avengers to save the universe from ComicBook/{{Thanos}}.
** [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12884925/1/Steven-Universe-Secret-Wars-Battleworld Part 2: Battleworld]]: After the Crystal Gems disband as a result of a heavy loss, Thanos assembles them once more to combat him on his planet known as Battleworld.
* [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13467435/1/Steven-Universe-The-Fantastic-Mutants The Fantastic Mutants]] (crossover with ComicBook/XMen & ComicBook/FantasticFour): [[ComicBook/ProfessorX Professor Charles Xavier]] offers Steven the opportunity to train at his school. But when an alliance between ComicBook/{{Magneto}} & ComicBook/DoctorDoom is formed, the Crystal Gems make new partnerships themselves with the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

As [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin the title should probably tell you]], all stories chronicle the Crystal Gems' adventures with various Marvel heroes as they defend Earth and the entire universe from evil.

The stories can be found on Fanfiction, [=DeviantArt=] and Tumblr.

A series of spin-offs is also planned called "Tales of Earth-2013," which so far includes....
* [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13134321/1/Tales-of-Earth-2013-Episode-of-Rocket Episode of Rocket]]: Long before the Guardians of the Galaxy were formed, Rocket Raccoon & Groot are put on trial for stealing from Blue Diamond and must find a way to escape Homeworld.
* [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13444498/1/Tales-of-Earth-2013-Episode-of-Thanos Episode of Thanos]]: Before he was reviled across the stars as the Mad Titan, before he declared war on the Gems, before he even knew about the Infinity Stones, Thanos was a simple young man ostracized by his family who desired balance. That is, until he met the embodiment of Death herself.

!!Marvel Gems contains examples of:

* AdaptationAmalgamation: The Marvel side of this universe draws from multiple sources like the comics, movies, cartoons and video games.
* AlternateUniverse: During production of Secret Wars, WordOfGod decided upon making the stories their own part of the wider Marvel multiverse.
* BroadStrokes: Dialogue throughout all released stories imply that certain Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse movies took place in this universe with changes to fit into the continuity. Examples include....
** ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld'': Malekith is namedropped when Thor explains the Reality Stone and possibly didn't die as he did in that film.
** ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'': In the time between Clod on the Run & Search for the Six, Mantis, Nebula and Yondu all joined the Guardians of the Galaxy. Ego was also referenced, but he's not Star-Lord's father this time which means Yondu was SparedByTheAdaptation. It's also stated that Nebula became a fulltime member after a previous battle with Thanos.
** ''Film/DoctorStrange2016'': Doctor Strange comments that he has personal experience with the Time Stone. The Ancient One was also confirmed to have dabbled in dark magic by him and Wong.
* {{Crossover}}: With ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'' and all of the ''Franchise/MarvelUniverse''.
* LikeRealityUnlessNoted: The timeline of this universe is mostly on the Marvel side of things unlike the AlternateHistory ''Steven Universe'' takes place in, i.e, World War II happens allowing Captain America to meet the Crystal Gems.
* OncePerEpisode: Each story features Steven meeting different Marvel superhero teams.

!!Clod on the Run provides examples of:

* AlienInvasion: Armies of corrupted Gems and Chitauri lay siege to Beach City in the climax.
* BigBadDuumvirate: Titus and Holly Blue Agate [[VillainTeamUp team up to hunt down the Guardians.]]
* BrickJoke: Whenever someone says "piece of cake", [[{{Metaphorgotten}} Drax wonders if there actually is cake.]] At the end of the story, he does get cake.
** When the Guardians come across the barn in Chapter 2, they are cornered by Peridot's drones which Rocket immediately shoots down. Later in Chapter 3, he, Groot, Peridot and Lapis come across those same drones.
* TheCameo: Thanos and Pink Diamond appear together in a flashback, along with Nebula, Korath & Corvus Glaive.
** ComicBook/DamageControl also appear at the end to clean up after the final battle.
** And of course, Creator/StanLee makes an appearance as a SHIELD agent masquerading as a customer at the Big Donut. He even returns during the final chapter to gun down an attacking Chitauri soldier.
** In another flashback, Pip the Troll appears making a deal with Yondu.
** During the ending, Nova appears to take away J'son of Spartax.
* ChekhovsGun: The black hole bomb Rocket builds out of random things around Steven's kitchen in chapter 3 is brought back in chapter 5 to take out the Chitauri.
* FusionDance: [[spoiler: Star-Lord fuses with Stevonnie to form Stevoter.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: Rocket attempts one to stop the Chitauri, but thankfully he survives.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Star-Lord convinces Lapis to attempt fusion with him, unaware of the existence of [[ThePowerofHate Malachite]].
* InMemoriam: Chapter 3 is dedicated to Creator/AdamWest and Chapter 5 to Stan Lee's wife Joan.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: Chapter 3 begins with the Guardians fighting the Crystal Gems when they come for Peridot, only for it to be interrupted by Connie when she arrives.
* OddFriendship: Rocket forms one with Lapis Lazuli due to their similarly DarkAndTroubledPast.
* PunnyTitle: All over the place;
** The story itself is named after "Fox on the Run".
** The first chapter "Mrs. Blue Di" is a parody of "Mr. Blue Sky."
** Chapter 2 is "Suffragette City"
** Chapter 3 is "Come and Get your Love"
** Chapter 4 is "Hooked on a Feeling"
** Chapter 5 is "Fooled Around and Fell in Love"
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: In response to learning about Steven being forced to hand the corrupted Gems over to Titus & Holly Blue, Rocket snaps at him and starts ranting about how he's already met people [[TheFarmerAndTheViper who treated him with kindness only to backstab him later.]]
* TheStinger: Two of them focus on other characters reacting to the events of the story. Thanos prepares to hunt for the Infinity Stones while Tony Stark is ordered to interrogate the Gems.
* ShoutOut:
** [[Creator/ChrisPratt Star-Lord]] channels [[Series/ParksAndRecreation Andy Dwyer]] when he assigns codenames to the Guardians while they're in Beach City, complete with Rocket being called Eagle Two. When they split up, a bystander thinks he looks like Danny from Fields and Recreation.
** Stan Lee calls Groot [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Deku Tree]].
** Peter likens [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Yondu]] to [[Franchise/StarWars Han Solo]] and [[Film/Ghostbusters1984 Peter Venkman]].
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: Both Nick Fury and Thanos exclaim "The Homeworld rebels are still alive?!" upon seeing the Crystal Gems fight the Chitauri.
* VillainousBreakdown: Titus becomes so fanatical about bringing the Guardians to justice that he'd allow the Chitauri to massacre Beach City.

!!Secret Wars provides examples of:

* ActorAllusion: The first scene with Pearl and Doctor Strange together shows them chatting about Literature/SherlockHolmes. It should be pretty obvious [[Series/{{Sherlock}} what this]] [[Creator/BenedictCumberbatch is referencing.]]
* TheAlliance: In Earth-2013, Rose Quartz convinced [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor the Asgardians]], [[ComicBook/{{Inhumans}} the Inhumans]], [[ComicBook/BlackPanther Wakanda]], [[ComicBook/DoctorStrange the Masters of the Mystic Arts]], [[ComicBook/SubMariner Atlantis]], [[ComicBook/IronFist K'un-L'un]] and even ''ComicBook/{{Apocalypse}}'' to side with her against Homeworld during the Rebellion.
** Steven would do the same against Thanos in the present day, [[spoiler:only this time he has the Diamonds by his side.]]
* AndImTheQueenOfSheba: When the heroes try to take the Space Stone away from a pimp on Contraxia, one of his girls says "Infinity Stones? And I'm ComicBook/{{Dazzler}}!"
* ArchEnemy: Thanos proclaims himself to be this of all Gemkind bordering on FantasticRacism due to what happened between him and Pink Diamond, particularly the Crystal Gems and the Diamonds. Jasper also claims to be this to the Mad Titan.
* AscendedFanboy: Steven grew up idolizing the Avengers, especially Captain America, and now he gets to save the universe alongside them.
** Ditto for Connie who is also a big fan of Ant-Man.
* BigBad: Thanos, following up on his appearances in the last story.
* BrainsAndBrawn: During the final battle, Thanos declares Peridot and Lapis to be this, the former as the brains and the latter as the brawn.
* BreakTheCutie: Peridot goes through a bit of a crisis thanks to MODOK telling her that she's nothing more than comic relief to the Crystal Gems.
* BreakingTheFellowship: Part 2 begins on this with the heroes all going their seperate ways in the aftermath of [[spoiler:Thanos's victory.]]
** Lapis Lazuli journeys with Thor across the Nine Realms to find a way to stop Thanos.
** Amethyst & Mantis join the Avengers while Pearl hangs out with Doctor Strange to monitor Thanos's rampage.
** The Guardians help Peridot rebuild the barn after it is destroyed by the Outriders.
** And finally, Steven, Garnet & Connie are the only members of the Crystal Gems remaining within Beach City.
* BreakingTheFourthWall:
** ComicBook/SheHulk does this a few times poking fun at Steven Universe and its fanbase. [[AudienceWhatAudience Much to everyone's confusion]].
** Who else but [[spoiler:ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}]] in TheStinger?
* TheCameo:
** Pip the Troll appears again during the Knowhere sequence and apparently the Avengers have met him before.
** Also appearing on Knowhere are Cosmo the Space-Dog and ComicBook/HowardTheDuck.
** Along with Blackjack O'Hare, the other characters appearing on Halfworld are Rocket's former partner Wal Rus and Ziggy Pig & Silly Seal, a pair of FunnyAnimal characters from Marvel's early days as Timely Comics.
** [[ComicBook/{{Runaways}} A Majesdanian]] appears on Contraxia.
** The Ruby Squad, Emerald, Aquamarine and Topaz appear as the remnants of a battalion against Thanos on Homeworld that he utterly destroyed.
* ChekhovsGun: The Red King's warsuit is taken after he is defeated because Groot believes it could be useful. [[spoiler: And he's right.]]
* {{Cliffhanger}}: Part 1 ends on Thanos invading the Gem Homeworld, bringing the Diamonds to their knees and performing his famous BadassFingersnap.
* CoDragons: Corvus Glaive, Loki and Mephisto all serve as this to Thanos, though by the end all three of them are separated from him. [[spoiler:The former two are killed and later brought BackFromTheDead while the latter is betrayed and surprisingly helps the heroes return to Earth.]]
* CompositeCharacter: Thanos's motivations are a mix of his StalkerWithACrush on Lady Death from the comics and his WellIntentionedExtremist goals from Film/AvengersInfinityWar.
* ComicBookDeath: Spider-Man hangs a lampshade over this trope regarding Captain America's near-death at the end of Part 1.
* CutenessProximity: Steven falls for Cosmo the Space Dog and Blackjack O'Hare.
* DealWithTheDevil: The relationship between Thanos and Death is given a dash of this as well. As revealed in "Disassembled," when Thanos tells his backstory to Steven in his dreams, he reveals that when he was cast out by his people for his idea of saving them from TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt, he encountered Lady Death in a desolate realm, where she offered his help in purging half of the universe in exchange for her love.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Cap keeps his famous BadassBoast from ComicBook/TheInfinityGauntlet and Steven adds onto this by stating that Rose may not have seen beauty in Thanos.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:Loki, Yellow & Blue Diamond are convinced to side with the heroes against Thanos.]]
* EvilCounterpart: Thanos claims that he is this to Steven in the first chapter of Part 2, since they are both unbelievably powerful hybrid beings destined for greatness. But while Steven is an AllLovingHero, Thanos is a [[{{Sadist}} sadistic]] GalacticConqueror.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite Sugilite's violent nature, even she refuses to harm any of the undead Gems summoned by Mephisto. Though, that could be Garnet talking.
* ExactWords: When Blue Diamond cautions against Thanos touching Pink Diamond's palanquin in Disassembled, he doesn't touch it. Rather, he blows it up with the Gauntlet.
* FantasticRacism: During the meeting at the beginning of chapter 4, Thaddeus Ross is quick to call the Gems a potential threat to the Earth.
* FetchQuest: The fourth chapter is appropriately titled "Hunt for the Stones" as the Crystal Gems & the Avengers try to claim the Infinity Stones before Thanos can, while also being joined by the Guardians of the Galaxy. [[spoiler:Unfortunately their efforts are rendered meaningless when Mephisto steals the Soul Stone and is given the rest.]]
* {{Foreshadowing}}: When Truman Marsh is first introduced in "The Masters of Evil", there are few hints that he is really [[spoiler:Ultron in disguise.]]
** For starters, [[spoiler:he's literally done the exact same thing in WesternAnimation/AvengersAssemble, only Marsh is secretary of defense rather than a liaison to the Avengers.]]
** His birthdate is July 10, 1968, [[spoiler:the original release of Avengers #54 when Ultron first appeared as the Crimson Cowl,]] and he died on May 1, 2015, [[spoiler: the release date of Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron.]]
** Marsh hails from Jacksonville, Missouri, [[spoiler:the birthplace of Ultron's co-creator Roy Thomas.]]
** When President Ellis lists off the various Avengers present at Thanos's invasion of Beach City, the mention of Hank Pym, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner peaks Truman's interest. [[spoiler:The former created Ultron in the comics while the latter two did it in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse.]]
* FusionDance: [[spoiler: Steven once again fuses with a Marvel character, this time it's Captain America.]]
* GuestStarPartyMember: [[spoiler:ComicBook/SilverSurfer and Thanos's brother Starfox join forces with the heroes to stop Thanos, especially since the two have already been chasing him.]]
* HeelFaceBrainwashing: [[spoiler:The Silver Surfer was captured and brainwashed by Thanos at some point to serve him as a member of the Masters of Evil before he was freed by Garnet, Amethyst, Wasp and Winter Soldier.]]
* {{Hypocrite}}: Thanos brutally calls out Pearl for continuing to devote herself to Rose long after her passing, though he should really be one to talk given his crush on Death.
* InMemoriam: Chapter 4 is dedicated to Creator/SteveDitko. In addition similar to Stan Lee, there's a SHIELD agent named after him that appears.
* ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies: Once again, Steven is forced to prevent Connie from joining him in battle, this time in the intial fight against Thanos. It's justified as since she's a human, Thanos would've most certainly tried to kill her.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: Across both parts.
** Chapter 2 involves the Crystal Gems teaming up with the Avengers for the first time against Loki, Absorbing Man and Titania.
** The chapter after that shows the Crystal Temps teaming up with a group of reserve Avengers (such as ComicBook/SpiderMan, ComicBook/AntMan, ComicBook/TheWasp, ComicBook/ScarletWitch, ComicBook/{{Quicksilver}}, ComicBook/TheVision, among others) to defend Beach City from MODOK and the Wrecking Crew.
** Chapter 4 features the Gems, Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy fighting Blackjack O'Hare for possession of the Time Stone.
** Chapter 1 of Part 2 has a scene where Amethyst, as a new member of the Avengers, fights HYDRA in Times Square.
* OldFriend: Steve and Bucky Barnes turn out to be close acquaintances with Rose Quartz during World War II.
* OutOfFocus: Chapter 3 of Part 2 doesn't feature Steven at all, instead focusing on Connie teaming up with the reserve Avengers.
* {{Sadist}}: When Mephisto makes his proper debut in Chapter 4 of Part 1, he wastes no time in traumatizing Garnet & Pearl with phantoms of deceased Gems from the Rebellion that also nearly [[WouldHurtAChild harmed Steven.]]
** Black Dwarf attempts to kill Lapis for humiliating him when she first met him & Ebony Maw during the war and [[LovesTheSoundOfScreaming orders her to keep screaming.]]
* SequelHook: Many to set up future stories, particularly in Chapters 3 and 4 of Part 2.
** The ComicBook/FantasticFour meet with ComicBook/ProfessorX to discuss Steven.
** [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse President Matthew Ellis]] holds a meeting with [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHulk Thaddeus Ross, Glenn Talbot]], [[ComicBook/XMen Robert Kelly]] & [[ComicBook/BlackPanther Everett Ross]] for the same reasons, only to be interrupted by Truman Marsh, who proposes his own ideas. And judging by the first post credits scene, that idea seems to be the ComicBook/{{Thunderbolts}}.
* TheStinger: Once again, there's two of them. The first features Truman Marsh visiting Absorbing Man and Titania about a proposition and the other is Steven meeting Lady Death and [[spoiler:Deadpool]] in his dreams.
* SmugSuper: Thanos shows this quite a bit at the final battle of Search for the Six.
* YouWillBeSpared: Because the Crystal Gems were forced to hand over the Mind Stone, Thanos decides to leave Earth spared from his wrath. Though he also adds "For now."

!!The Fantastic Mutants contains examples of:
* BigBadDuumvirate: This time, it's Magneto and Doctor Doom.
* BluffTheImposter: When Mystique infiltrates the Crystal Gems disguised as Lapis, she tries her damnedest to hide that she's an imposter even when the real Lapis shows up, until Steven starts making fart noises.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: The fourth chapter features Deadpool, of course. The author even claims he co-wrote it with the Merc with a Mouth, albeit against his will just because Deadpool didn't like waiting so long between chapters.
* CaptureAndReplicate: Lapis is taken out and replaced by Mystique at some point between the first two chapters.
* TheCameo: During the classroom scene with Colossus, Russell Collins makes a brief appearance.
** Earlier in the first chapter, Greg makes a cameo as the Crystal Gems leave with the X-Men.
** In chapter 2, we get appearances from [[Characters/XMenMutants Moira MacTaggert]], Dust, Pixie and Armor.
** Captain America and a young J. Jonah Jameson appear during the flashback sequences of Chapter 3.
** Chapter 4 gives us plenty, like Blind Al, Weasel, Franklin & Valeria Richards, H.E.R.B.I.E, Patch, the Nasty Boyz, Robert Kelly and Lawrence Abrams from the previous stories.
* CommonalityConnection: Steven bonds with ComicBook/KittyPryde over their shared pasts as the TagalongKid who TookALevelInBadass.
** Wolverine also likens Sunstone to Deadpool.
* CutenessProximity: Kitty and Cannonball find Ruby and Sapphire positively adorable.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: When Magneto was young, he was experimented on by Klaus Schmidt only for Rose Quartz to almost rescue him, until HYDRA came to Auschwitz and she was poofed in the battle against them, leaving young Erik behind and [[ThisIsUnforgivable refusing to forgive her for abandoning him.]]
* DistressedDude: Chapter 3 ends with Steven captured by the Brotherhood of Mutants for Doctor Doom and the rest of the Crystal Gems teaming up with the X-Men & Fantastic Four to rescue him.
** DamselInDistress: Kitty accidentally becomes this while trying to save Steven.
* ForScience: So far, Doctor Doom wants Steven's gemstone for this.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Spider-Man states that the core six Avengers are off on a big space mission, leaving their allies to watch over Earth in their stead.
* MythologyGag: The story begins in a flashback to 1963, the year the X-Men first debuted in comics.
** Kitty talks about her first adventure where she helped save the X-Men from the Hellfire Club.
** Toad brags about [[Film/XMen1 the qualities of a toad]], but Amethyst interrupts him.
** Colossus responds to Cyclops's complaints about the school's poor defenses by saying [[Film/Deadpool2016 its constant destruction builds character.]]
** Magneto's flashback in Chapter 3 is almost lifted directly from Film/XMenFirstClass, minus the additions of Rose, Captain America and Sugilite. However, it's left ambiguous whether Klaus Schmidt is actually Sebastian Shaw like in that movie.
** During the Baxter Building scene, Valeria Richards is presented as older than Franklin, much like her original counterpart Valeria von Doom.
** Deadpool pulls out the Continuity Gem as a last resort in his fight with Sardonyx and uses it to erase her from existence. He fails.
** One Doombot is labeled #1961, the year the Fantastic Four first debuted in comics.
* OldFriend: Just like Captain America and Bucky, the Crystal Gems have also met Charles Xavier in the past during the 1960s.
* PrecisionFStrike: After Deadpool loses his fight with Sardonyx, he asks "[[WesternAnimation/BigHero6 On a scale from one to ten]], how much do I FUCKING hate you?" He even requests that the author give him a pass for this.
* ShoutOut:
** Xavier accesses the Cerebro room by [[Series/Batman1966 pressing a button hidden inside a bust]] of UsefulNotes/MartinLutherKingJr, whom Xavier is often compared to.
** Sunstone repeats the [[MemeticMutation infamous]] [[WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog Sonic Sez]] about sexual harassment, complete with "That's no good!"
** The SpotTheImposter between Lapis and Mystique is basically the one from WesternAnimation/ToyStory2 with the two Buzz Lightyears. There's even a loud declaration of "I AM!" from the two.
** When Juggernaut debuts along with Toad, what else does he say except [[WebVideo/MyWayEntertainment "I'm the Juggernaut, BITCH!"]]
** Amethyst calls Toad [[Franchise/TheMuppets Kermit.]]
** NUMEROUS in the fourth chapter, which appropriately features Deadpool.
** The chapter opens in a similar fashion to Series/TheEricAndreShow, with Deadpool [[TrashTheSet randomly tearing apart a talk show set.]]
** Inside Wade's pockets is [[TakeThat a reminder to sue Marvel & Capcom for leaving him out of]] VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcomInfinite.
** {{Cutaway Gag}}s are used here much like WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy. The first is a crossover between Film/FreeWilly & Literature/MobyDick, the second is a Franchise/ScoobyDoo parody, the third is based off [[https://i.stack.imgur.com/iXJwQ.jpg this bit from a comic]], the fourth is based on the "How do you like my swimming scene?" from Manga/GoldenBoy, the fifth is a failed attempt at WhosOnFirst and the final is based on [[Series/SaturdayNightLive Celebrity Jeopardy.]]
** A parody of [[WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} Friend Like Me]] is performed, and after that Deadpool's inner voices give an apology to Alan Menken, Howard Ashman & Robin Williams.
** Deadpool interrogates a {{Mook}} Film/PulpFiction style.
** The ExtendedDisarming scene is one to Film/TheMask. We even get a moment where Slab finds nude pics of his sister Thumbelina in Wade's possession and screams "You son a bitch!" When Wade escapes, he says "Sssssmokin'!"
*** During the car chase sequence after that, we get this bit from Connie and Yukio.
-->'''Connie:''' If Deadpool is up there, then WhoIsDriving
-->'''Yukio:''' [[WesternAnimation/ClerksTheAnimatedSeries Oh my god,]] [[ComicBook/NewMutants Demon Bear]] [[WesternAnimation/ClerksTheAnimatedSeries is driving! How can that be?!]]
** Juggernaut says [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty "You son of a bitch, I'm in!"]]
** MoreDakka is presented in the style of Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar.
** Deadpool mentions Pearl accidentally killing an Irishman during the Easter Rising, a reference to the "Pearl hates the Irish" meme.
** During both of the Captain Ahab scenes, Deadpool and Peridot call him [[VideoGame/{{Habbo}} Habbo Hotel]].
* SixthRanger: Nephrite (aka the Centipeetle Mother) becomes an honorary Crystal Gem at some point while helping them build Little Homeworld.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Wolverine groans in irritation when Colossus assigns Connie to recruit Deadpool.
* TimeSkip: As of Fantastic Mutants, the stories now take place after Change your Mind.
* YouDontWantToKnow: Logan's response when Bismuth asks who Deadpool is.

!!Tales of Earth-2013 provides examples of:
* ADayInTheLimelight: Each one-shot is said to center on a single character, at least for the first series. The first stars Rocket Raccoon while the second is an OriginsEpisode for Thanos.
* AlwaysABiggerFish: According to Thanos, the Gem Empire refuses to interfere with the affairs of such races as the Builders, Elders of the Universe, the Skrulls and the Kree out of fear for extinction.
* BloodierAndGorier: Episode of Thanos doesn't shy away from how violent its title character has become, even showing him ordering his father's decapitation.
* TheCameo: Aquamarine, Topaz & Emerald all appear to capture Rocket.
** Peridot also appears in the post credits scene to put Lylla in her cell.
** [[VideoGame/SaveTheLight Hessonite]] makes an appearance at Starlin's Bar in Episode of Thanos.
* CassandraTruth: Thanos believes the Gems will eventually drive Titan to extinction through their colonizing, but he's dubbed an insane racist by his people.
* DeathByAdaptation: A'Lars is executed by Thanos thousands of years before the heroes of Earth came into fruition, unlike in ComicBook/ThanosRising where he's spared and ForcedToWatch as his son unleashes terror upon the universe.
* InMemoriam: Episode of Rocket is dedicated to Stan Lee himself.
* HeroicSacrifice: Lylla allows herself to be captured on Homeworld so that Rocket, Groot and the Collector can escape.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: Rocket believes he and Blue Diamond are this after escaping because they both lost someone important to them.
* ParentsAsPeople: Mentor vows to be a loving parent to his infant son Thanos and he does follow up on that promise at times, but his partial negligence is what fuels his son to become the OmnicidalManiac he is today.
* {{Prequel}}: Episode of Rocket is this to Clod on the Run, taking place between Ocean Gem and The Return.
** Episode of Thanos meanwhile takes place thousands of years prior.
* TheStinger: As per usual. Episode of Rocket ends on Lylla meeting Lapis Lazuli in prison after taking the fall for Rocket.
** Episode of Thanos's stinger features the Silver Surfer being taken hostage by the Black Order when he goes to warn Earth's heroes of Thanos.
* UncertainDoom: Whether Sui-San was killed by Thanos or not in his invasion of Titan is left unknown.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: A bartender at Starlin's Bar speaks in a thick Irish accent that Thanos barely understands.
