''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5560041/1/Just_Like_Last_Tuesday_Except_With_Zombies Just Like Last Tuesday, Except with Zombies]]'' is a ''Series/{{Glee}}'' fanfiction by angel-dawes, picking up very shortly after [=S1E12=] ''Mattress''.

The day starts out normally, but it soon becomes obvious that the dead have risen and Lima is completely overrun. The Glee Club, along with Sue, Jacob, and Emma, hole up in the school and prepare to face them, all the while dealing with other trials leftover such as teen romance, revenge, and pregnancy.

The story manages to keep a dark sense of humor throughout, but is can be very dark when it needs to and and isn't afraid to [[AnyoneCanDie punch you]] [[TearJerker in the gut]].

!Tropes Include:
* AchillesHeel: Zombies are weak to bright light.
* ActionSurvivor: The whole cast barring Sue are civilians who quickly have to learn how to survive in what equates to a warzone and close combat with zombies. Even the Cheerios, who Sue reveals have been subliminally prepped for combat, are unprepared for the emotional toll of the events.
* {{Adorkable}}: Artie and Tina, who's relationship is very sweet and tends to involve a lot of ''Series/{{Battlestar Galactica|2003}}'' references.
* AmazonBrigade: Sue has been subliminally training the Cheerios to be one of these. She also used to be part of one.
* AmazonChaser: Puck ‘’really’’ likes how good Rachel is at zombie killing. He similarly gets turned on when he sees Quinn holding a gun and [[PregnantBadass very pregnant with his child]].
* AnyoneCanDie: A good number of recurring characters are killed off in the early chapters, and around halfway through the main characters are on the chopping block too. [[spoiler:Brittany]] turns and has to be put down, [[spoiler:Finn]] is killed during a surprise attack, and [[spoiler: Matt, Tina, and Artie]] sacrifice themselves to protect the others near the end.
* ApocalypticLog: Will finds one [[spoiler: in the middle school]].
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Brittany got bored waiting for Sue to come back from checking on Jean, so she decided to go play in the pretty flowers. [[spoiler: [[ZombieInfectee It didn’t end well for her]]]].
* BabiesEverAfter: [[spoiler: Quinn and Puck manage to raise their daughter after escaping to a safe zone]].
* BadassTeacher: Sue, who eventually [[spoiler: walks from Lima to Canada, leaving “a swath of destruction across the U.S. unlike anything ever known to man”]].
* BattleCouple: Puck and Rachel. Quinn and Finn try, though their relationship is still rocky and [[spoiler: Finn dies just after he tells her he loves her anyway]].
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler: After zombies surround Puck and Rachel around her house, they seem done for until the school bus containing everybody else plows through and opens fire]].
* BodyCountCompetition: Between Rachel and Puck. And eventually Kurt.
* ChekhovsGun: [[spoiler: Brittany’s cut that she keeps scratching]].
* ComingOfAgeStory: In a lot of ways, the fic is one for Puck as he goes from immature JerkAss to the hero the group is depending on. The story gives similar arcs to Rachel, Quinn, Santana, and Kurt.
* CrazyPrepared:
** Finn and Puck have stashes of water and baseball bats in their houses for when this happens. Sue has pistols, shotguns, and ''uzis'' hidden at the school.
** Kurt is prepared in a more...Kurt-like way. He plans his wardrobe a week in advance, and convinced his father to set up a college fund when he was eight. At 13 he decided to avoid people named [[Creator/JeffGoldblum Jeff]] after watching ''Film/JurassicPark'' and ''Film/IndependenceDay''.
* DoesNotLikeGuns: It takes a while for Mercedes to come around to training with the guns.
* EnemyMine: Sue and Will manage to put their differences aside to protect the kids.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Cillian Murphy is all hot and everything, which Puck is completely and without embarrassment willing to admit.
* FateWorseThanDeath: Emma considers dying from Zombies to be the worse kind of death due to her mysophobia. She begs Will that if that ever appears likely to happen to kill her immediately.
* GenreSavvy: Puck and Finn have been preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse since they were ‘’eight’’. Eventually, it turns out all of the kids have been watching zombie movies and know how to handle the situation.
* HeroicBSOD: Quinn after [[spoiler: Finn’s death]].
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: Matt, Artie, and Tina]].
* HiddenDepths: Santana watches ''Series/{{Being Human|UK}}'' and is a fan of Russell Tovey
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Rachel has been practising to be a crack shot in order to seem more “all American” to some of her dad’s relatives.
* ItsAllMyFault: Quinn initially believes the zombies are God’s way of punishing her for getting pregnant out of wedlock. [[spoiler: Sue blames herself for Brittany getting infected. Kurt blames himself for Finn's death]].
* JerkAss: Sue, obviously, but most people are surprised that it carries through the Zombie Apocalypse.
* KillTheCutie: [[spoiler: Brittany, Artie, and Tina]].
* TheLoad: Jacob. It really says something when a boy in a wheelchair is more competent at surviving the apocalypse than you. [[spoiler: He makes it to the end, and Quinn resents him a little for surviving while so many of her friends and loved ones did not]].
* MamaBear: Sue taught all the Cheerios close-combat self-defense to stop boys from taking advantage of them.
* PapaWolf: Finn’s entire reason for surviving the Zombie Apocalypse is to protect his unborn child. He doesn't know that it's not his, and when Rachel finds out she explicitly forbids Puck for telling him since, in her mind, if Finn were to find out he'd lose his will to carry on and put the group in even more danger.
* ParentalAbandonment: Puck's mother and sister leave him behind.
* PregnantBadass: Although she isn't as capable as most of the others, Quinn manages to hold her own against the Zombies.
* RousingSpeech: Puck gives one to Santana [[spoiler: after Britany’s death]].
* SelfMadeOrphan: Kurt, who finds his dad already turned and has to kill him in self defence.
* ShootTheDog: Most characters have to pull this as their loved ones turn.
** Artie and Will had to kill Terri.
** Finn had to kill Quinn’s parents.
** Kurt had to kill his own dad.
** [[spoiler: Sue had to kill her sister Jean]].
** [[spoiler: Santana kills Brittany right after she turns]].
* ShoutOut:
** Multiple to ''Series/{{Battlestar Galactica|2003}}'', mainly coming from Artie and Tina.
** There is a character named Ballard in reference to {{Series/Dollhouse}}.
** When looting with Rachel and Schue, Puck suggests they get TV on DVD suggesting WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy and 'hot chick action show' Dollhouse. He later mentions that Dollhouse was somewhat zombie-ish.
** Puck attempts to reference ''Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack'' by responding to Rachel "I know". She takes this to mean he loves her. Later, Puck regrets making the reference when he thinks he is about to die.
** Lots of 28 Days Later references.
* StepfordSmiler: Rachel is constantly smiling, even though everybody knows she has little to smile about these days.
* TakeUpMySword: The ''real'' Sue Sylvester was actually the commander of our Sue in an all-female military unit.
* ThisIsReality: The group agrees that discussing the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of the military in zombie movies is not the best idea, and they need to stay positive. [[spoiler: Then Rachel points out to Puck that zombie movies [[DownerEnding never]] [[KillEmAll end well]]]].
* ThoseTwoGuys: Lampshaded with Matt and Mike, who tell Kurt that they feel left out of the club compared to everyone else, and even getting chewed out by Artie and the others would be nicer than being ignored. For what it's worth, they do spend most of the story patrolling together and don't take up the same amount of focus as the rest of the cast aside from [[spoiler: Matt's sacrifice and Mike's guilt over it]].
* TookALevelInBadass: The club as a whole get trained in the best way to kill zombies, and Rachel is probably the best killer in the group.
* TheVirus: Artie’s Argument for what’s causing the zombies, though it's never confirmed one way or the other.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: The kids are quite proud of killing the zombies, and as the story goes on they care less and less about the fact that they were people once.
* ZombieApocalypse: Mostly contained to the United States, as it's later determined that Canada managed to keep things from spiralling out of control and any survivors that can be found are headed in that direction.
* ZombieGait: Averted, the zombies can run here.
