* Practically everyone in ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaDawnOfSorrow'' can tell despite their [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend earnest attempts to deny it]] that Soma and Mina have the hots for each other. [[spoiler:So does Celia. [[TargetedToHurtTheHero It doesn't end well]]]].
* ''Franchise/{{Disgaea}}'':
** Adell and Rozalin in ''VideoGame/Disgaea2CursedMemories'' eventually end up like this. Eventually lampshaded by Etna, who sees they've got "[[BelligerentSexualTension one of those relationships going]]".
** By the time of ''VideoGame/Disgaea4APromiseUnforgotten'', they have a hard time convincing people they're not ''married'' (though they... uh, live in the same house together).
* ''Franchise/DragonAge'':
** Paraphrased from ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'':
--->'''Wynne:''' So, you and [love interest].\
'''The Warden:''' You know about [love interest] and me?\
'''Wynne:''' ''Everyone'' knows about [love interest] and you. Trust me, in Zevran's case, half the camp sleeping in their tents wishes they didn't.
*** Notably, Anora -- having seen both characters for maybe fifteen, twenty minutes at the most -- can tell that a romanced Alistair is sweet on the female Warden [[spoiler:if you bring up the possibility of her and Alistair marrying]]: "I rather thought you and the boy...?"
*** Cullen's massive crush on the Female Mage Warden is so obvious that {{NPC}}s in the Circle Tower gossip about it. Jowan also has this response if she asks him why he's stuttering.
---->'''Jowan:''' *psst* Someone likes you.
** Regardless of which companion Hawke romances in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII''[[note]](unless it's Sebastian, owing to his DLC status)[[/note]], it's apparently evident to everyone else. Even Hawke's own mother will comment on it, saying things like "I've seen the way you and that pirate girl look at each other."
** In ''VideoGame/DragonAgeInquisition'', regardless of which love interest the player decides to pursue, a pair of GossipyHens in the main hall of Skyhold will be overheard discussing the state of the relationship. Other companions will, to varying degrees, also comment on the situation in party banter and/or when directly addressed; for example, if the female Inquisitor is starting a romance with Cullen, Dorian (if he has high approval for her) will tease her about having "a thing for strapping young Templars." He then adds that he thinks it's adorable.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'':
*** [[MasterSwordsmen Cloud]] and [[GirlNextDoor Tifa]] get a lot of this in sector 7 of [[CityNoir Midgar]], this includes neighbors [[DatePeepers listening in to their conversations]] and friends trying to not so subtly point out their relationship may be [[ChildhoodFriendRomance more]] than childhood friendship, but Cloud fails to understand and Tifa will act shy.
*** When [[MysteriousWaif Aerith]] joins the gang and immediately warms to Cloud, causing slight strife with Tifa, Cloud will once again be oblivious despite having [[LoveTriangle two young women attracted to him]] either way everybody can see it but Cloud himself.
*** Heavily implied to be the case with Vincent's feelings for Lucrecia - in Dirge of Cerberus, Hojo refers to Lucrecia as Vincent's beloved when mocking him, and when even [[LackOfEmpathy Professor]] [[MadScientist Hojo]] of all people can see it...
** By halfway through ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII'', even Squall himself can see that everyone he knows thinks he and Rinoa are perfect for each other (and is mostly annoyed at how obvious they're all being).
* ''Franchise/FireEmblem'':
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade'': Matthew, Lyn, and Eliwood can all tell Jaffar is in love with Nino. Legault even asks Jaffar directly if he plans on marrying her.
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'': After the TimeSkip in the Black Eagles route (if [[spoiler:Byleth sides with Edelgard against the Church of Seiros]]), it becomes pretty clear to all the Black Eagles that the usually unflappable Edelgard has at the very least a strong emotional attachment to Byleth; even the less-than-observant Caspar is able to notice just how hard Edelgard took [[spoiler:Byleth's five-year-long disappearance]].
** In ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'', it's obvious to everyone (including Lewyn himself) that Erinys is madly in love with him, but she's just too shy and insistent on her role as his [[BodyguardCrush retainer]] to admit it. In one scene, [[TheTease Silvia]] even teases her by saying that since Erinys doesn't like him, she'd have no problem with Silvia marrying him, right? To which Erinys awkwardly concludes that she ''would'' have a problem with that, but only because Lewyn should only end up with someone who's worthy of being Queen of Silesse. No other reason!
* Done adorably in ''VideoGame/GalaxyAngel Moonlit Lovers'' with Vanilla, who doesn't really understand what love is and thinks she's sick and dying. Finally, Dr. Cera gets Ranpha involved and Ranpha does a poor job of explaining that she's lovesick for Tact. As Tact himself doesn't even realize what's wrong with Vanilla, the entire ship starts trying to get them together before Tact realizes what's happening and sits down with Vanilla to explain to her what love is.
** Also happens on [[SixthRanger Chitose's]] route. The two are clearly attracted to each other, but [[TwiceShy too shy to make any advances]] until the end of ''Eternal Lovers'', much to the frustration of everyone else who are trying to get them together.
* ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' has Sora and Kairi. When Sora witnesses a Disney couple getting their happy ending, [[spoiler:most prominently Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann]], Donald and Goofy can tell who he's thinking about [[spoiler:Kairi]] and call him out on it. Sora's feelings for Kairi are also the entire reason Saïx found kidnapping her to be useful. And a good third of the plot of ''Chain of Memories'' is caused by the villains knowing that Kairi is the most important person to Sora.
* ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'':
** In ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'', Link and Ilia are childhood friends [[ImpliedLoveInterest and possibly more.]] The Ordon kids almost seem to think of them as parental substitutes; particularly when Collin notes how Link and Ilia always look after them. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB-05fHYSF0 It doesn't take Telma long to see it either.]] But the most telling instance is when, after Link helps Ilia recover her memories of their time together, Renado, Cor Goron, and the others [[LeaveTheTwoLovebirdsAlone give them]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4UYayCJM5U their privacy]] (though Talo has to be [[DatePeepers yanked away from the window]] by Beth).
** In ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild'', [[ShrinkingViolet Paya's]] smitten reaction to Link [[WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove leads her to believe she has fallen ill]]. She tries to get some medicine from her grandmother Impa, and later from her bodyguards Cado and Dorian, but they all just grin knowingly.
* ''VideoGame/LifeIsStrange'' quickly establishes that Warren's crush [[TheProtagonist on Max]] is common knowledge among the students at Blackwell. In episode 1 Dana encourages Max to hook up with him and says she should come to the Vortex Club party as (quote): "[[PairTheSmartOnes A cute geek couple]] with her bitch, Warren." Moments later, in the parking lot, Juliet notes that Warren seems to want Max's attention, to which Max replies, "He usually does." In episode 3, Kate[[note]]this conversation only happens if the player prevented Kate's suicide attempt at the climax of episode 2[[/note]] seconds Dana's opinion that Max and Warren would be good for each other. And her best friend, Chloe, teases Max about him twice[[note]]First during the pool scene if Max mentions Warren, and Chloe will tease Max about him again after she dares Max to kiss her. If Max accepts the dare, Chloe will say she'll text Warren to let him know he's "out of the loop now". But if Max turns down Chloe's challenge, Chloe jokes that she'll tell Warren that Max is [[TheirFirstTime saving herself]] ''[[GiveGeeksAChance for him]]''"[[/note]] during the same episode.
* Nash from ''VideoGame/LunarTheSilverStar'' assumes he is subtle and refined regarding his crush on Mia Ausa; he isn't, much to the amusement of Kyle and Jessica.
* ''Franchise/MassEffect'':
** In ''VideoGame/MassEffect2'':
*** Kelly Chambers says "You two would make such a cute couple!" in response to Tali (if Shepard is male) or Garrus (if Shepard is female) joining the crew. Those two are both possible love interests for Shepard of the indicated gender. Master thief Kasumi Goto also gets in on the action, thanks to the new DLC.
*** In the ''Lair of the Shadow Broker'' DLC, Liara will tell a Shepard who is romancing Tali that Tali has been awestruck since she first joined the Normandy crew.
** In ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'', Ashley and Kaidan's complete lack of surprise when Shepard and Tali start flirting in the middle of a mission is telling.
* The male player character and Elanee in ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights2'', at least from Neeshka's general reaction to her.
** Though it works just as well in reverse if the player's relationship with Neeshka is higher than it is with Elanee.
* In ''VideoGame/RootsOfPacha'', the grown-ups occasionally comment on their children getting along so well with their friends that they may be more than JustFriends. They believe they make good couples despite them [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend denying it.]]
--> '''Tetih:''' I had a "just-friend" once. Before I knew it, I had a daughter.
* Fox and Krystal from the ''Franchise/StarFox'' series are obviously attracted to one another, but rarely will they ever mention it. Pretty much everyone on the Star Fox team (and even some people who aren't) know that the two are in love with each other and will occasionally comment on it. At one point in ''VideoGame/StarFoxAssault'', Prince Tricky tells Fox and Krystal to come back to his planet for their honeymoon, which causes Fox to get all embarrassed and yell at Tricky.
* ''VideoGame/StarOceanTheSecondStory'' in regards to its two leads, Claude and Rena. They have a small problem of CannotSpitItOut, but it doesn't stop the rest of their friends from trying to spell it out for them. In fact, it was so obvious that even Dias (TheStoic, a childhood friend of Rena and a sort-of-{{rival}} for Claude) can see it.
* There's that conservation among the Hyades in ''Third VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ: Tengoku-hen,'' where they're like "man, Debaran needs to drop the pretense cause everybody knows he wants to jump [[spoiler:Elunaruna]]'s bones." "Yeah, and when/if he tries, [[spoiler:she'll]] smash his balls into a fine powder and we'll get to laugh at him over drinks."
* This trope seems to be a common trend in the ''VideoGame/TrailsSeries''.
** Developed throughout ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky''. [[spoiler: Estelle at first regards Joshua as [[LikeBrotherAndSister nothing more than an (adopted) brother-figure,]] denying any romantic connection to the (numerous) [=NPCs=] who ask. However, as the game proceeds, her feelings start to evolve and she begins to realise that she loves him in a much more romantic sense than she had first realised (with copious amounts of CrushBlush applied whenever the subject comes up). By the end of the game, her feelings are pretty evident to everyone, with Anelace commenting that they make a cute couple and Scherazard offering to educate Estelle in matters of the heart.]]
** Her successor, Rean Schwarzer from ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel'' also has a case of him being oblivious to his adopted younger sister having an immense crush on him. Unlike Estelle however, he never develops any sort of romantic relationship with her; he's an overprotective big brother to her but that's about it. She's not even an option for any of the romantic relationships that her big brother has ([[ChickMagnet and he has a lot]]). It's not until ''Cold Steel IV'' where she's finally an option and even then it's a MaybeEverAfter.
** Tita has an obvious crush on Agate that by ''Cold Steel III'', nearly ''the entire playable cast in the saga'' can see it. Agate's the only one who only sees her as a little sister though to be fair to Agate, he's in his late twenties while Tita's only in her teens.
** ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsThroughDaybreak'' has [[TheHero Van Arkride]] and Elaine Auclaire who both used to date in high school till Van dropped out of said school without informing her or his other childhood friend Rene. Everyone who knows of the two can see that the two of them clearly have feelings for one another and even Van himself would prefer to come back to her. Unfortunately, it's not that simple for Van as [[spoiler:he's got a metric-sized emotional baggage that he's sorting out due to being a victim of the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsFromZeroAndTrailsToAzure DG Cult]] and the fact that there's something inside of him.]]
* Early in ''VideoGame/{{Utawarerumono}}'', the villagers around Hakuoro drop some rather pointed hints concerning Eruruw that he apparently never catches on to. Such teasing more or less stops after [[spoiler:he becomes emperor and she becomes royalty as well]], but he still seems more or less oblivious.
* ''VideoGame/{{Wadanohara}}'': Pretty much everyone in town can tell how much [[spoiler: Samekichi and Wadanohara love each other. While Samekichi's feelings are a LOT more obvious despite how he tries to hide them, characters make comments about how the two of them "get along so well" and how cute they are together. Samekichi's feelings are so obvious that one character tells him "a thousand fish in the sea would all say they knew" when he confesses.]]
* ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles'':
** ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1'':
*** All of Colony 9 is aware of the attraction between Shulk and Fiora. Her brother Dunban has known about it [[ChildhoodFriendRomance since she and Shulk were children.]] At one point, even confiding in Reyn that Shulk has his approval to court Fiora, if he chooses. Reyn shares Dunban's sentiment and agrees to silently root for them.
*** It doesn't take long for Shulk and the others to see the budding romance between Reyn and Sharla either. So does Reyn, though he initially dismisses it as Sharla seeing him [[ReplacementGoldfish as a substitute]] for her deceased boyfriend, Gadolt. But their final heart-to-heart reveals that her feelings for him are genuine and the ending implies they [[MaybeEverAfter might eventually]] become a couple.
** ''VideoGame/XenobladeChroniclesX'': Gwin's repressed feelings for his senior officer, [[IronLady Irina]], is [[EverybodyKnewAlready the worst kept secret]] in the BLADE administration. Even Lin and Tatsu, who are a pair of 13-year-olds, spot it and call him on it during his "Boot Camp" affinity mission. So does Alexa, during her post-fight banter with him:
--->'''Gwin''': "Hey, Alexa, think you can teach a bit more about skells?"
--->'''Alexa''': "Sure. I'll show you a trick that'll knock Irina's socks off."
