Henry Albert "Hank" Azaria (born April 25, 1964) is an American actor and comedian. Ever since 1990, he has voiced many secondary characters from WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons, (the CurtainCall at the end of WesternAnimation/TheSimpsonsMovie credits him for more characters than any of the other actors, with a whopping ten roles!) and has done several other notable roles.

Much like Creator/DanCastellaneta and Creator/HarryShearer, Azaria voices a lot of male characters that aren't voiced by other voice actors (like Creator/PhilHartman, Karl Weidergott, Chris Edgerly, or any of the female voice actors who play boy characters) or a celebrity guest star. From The Simpsons alone, he notably voices:
* Miserable, suicidal, Jerkass bartender Moe Szyslak
* SurferDude career criminal Snake Jailbird
* Fat, incompetent town cop Chief Clancy Wiggum
* Indian Kwik-E-Mart clerk Apu Nahasapeemapetilonuntil 2020 when the character was retired due to controversy over white voice actors playing non-white characters
* The "Sarcastic Middle Aged Clerk" who sounds like Charles Bronson (his real name is said to be Raphael, according to the season 12 episode "Day of the Jackanapes")
* Smug, fat nerd/Android Dungeon store owner Jeff Albertson (better known as Comic Book Guy)his Bordertown character, Bud Buckwald, sounds like a dumber, less smug version of him
* Milhouse's loser father, Kirk van Houten
* Homer's TokenBlack friend, Carl Carlsonuntil season 32, when he was replaced by Alex Desert
* The replacement voice for Akira, the Japanese sushi restauranteur and, in season three's "When Flanders Failed," a karate teacherCreator/GeorgeTakei was originally the voice of Akira on his premiere episode "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish" -- the season two episode where Homer fears he's going to die after eating Japanese blowfish that may not have been cut properly
* Duff Beer's macho mascot, Duffman
* RefugeeFromTime eternally stuck in the '70s, Disco StuOriginally, Creator/PhilHartman was supposed to play Stu, but when the animators needed to do a model change, Hartman was unavailable, so Azaria took the part. Which is fortunate, given that after Hartman's death in 1998, his Simpsons characters, Troy [=McClure=] and Lionel Hutz, were retired from the show out of respect.
* Not-actually-qualified sea captain Horatio Macallister
* Cheerful and affordable quack doctor Dr. Nick Riviera
* Principal Skinner's uptight superior Superintendent Gary Chalmers
* Stereotypically Italian chef Luigi Risotto
* Slapstick-prone Series/ElChapulinColorado parody Bumblebee Manuntil Season 32, when he was replaced by Eric Lopez
* CampGay Latino Julio Francountil Season 32, when he was replaced by Tony Rodriguez
* Resident MadScientist and Creator/JerryLewis imitator Professor John Frink
* The AlterKocker friend of Grampa Simpson known only as the "Old Jewish Man"
* Mike Tyson caricature Drederick Tatumuntil Season 32, when he was replaced by Jay Pharoah
* Slack-jawed yokel Cletus Spuckler
* Chief Wiggum's far more competent retainer Louuntil season 32, when he was replaced by Alex Desert
* And many, many, many more minor instances.

He also voiced Edward Brock/Venom in WesternAnimation/SpiderManTheAnimatedSeries, Bartok the bat in WesternAnimation/Anastasiaand its DirectToVideo prequel WesternAnimation/BartokTheMagnificent, and Harold Zoid in WesternAnimation/FuturamaDr. Zoidberg's washed-up uncle and silent hologram star, using his "Old Jewish Man" voice from The Simpsons, and Bud Buckwall on WesternAnimation/Bordertown.

On the side of live action appearances, Azaria's has performed in more diverse roles, which include:
* Jay Nichols in Herman's Head, which he considers an OldShame, along with fellow Simpsons voice actress Creator/YeardleySmiththe voice of Lisa Simpson and any Lisa-like character, such as the Pacific Islander girl "Lisa, Jr." on "Missionary: Impossible"
* Nat the Dog Walker in Series/MadAboutYou
* Phoebe's scientist boyfriend David on Series/Friends
* Alan Marciano in Film/Heat; perhaps best known as the slimeball surprised by Creator/Al Pacino's improvised "Cause she got a GREAT ASS!" bit.
* Agador the houseboy in Film/TheBirdcage
* Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt in Series/Huff
* Journalist/editor Michael Kelly in Film/ShatteredGlass
* Kahmunrah and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Statue in Film/NightAtTheMuseumBattleOfTheSmithsonian
* Creator/SimonPegg's JerkJock nemesis Whit in Film/RunFatboyRun.
* The Blue Rajah in Film/MysteryMen
* Gargamel in Film/TheSmurfs and Film/TheSmurfs2
* Ed Cochran in Series/RayDonovan
* Victor "The Animal" Palotti (AKA the cameraman who almost got squished by Zilla) in Film/Godzilla1998
* The titular character on Series/Brockmire
* Frank [=DiPascali=], Bernie Madoff's chief minion, in Film/TheWizardOfLies
* Tim Cook in Series/SuperPumped The Battle for Uber
* Eddie in Series/HelloTomorrow

Both in appearance and through his seemingly endless repertoire of exotic accents, he's actually an American Sephardic Jew (Sephardic Jews are the ones who can trace their ancestry from the Iberian peninsula [the peninsula containing Spain and Portugal] to the north part of Africa. Contrast that with Ashkenazi Jews, whose lineage is in Central and Eastern Europe).

Also notably provided the TropeNamer quote for IdiotBall.
