''X-Treme X-Men: Savage Land'' is a 2001 comic book limited series published by Creator/MarvelComics, part of the wider ComicBook/XMen franchise. It's written by Creator/ChrisClaremont with art by Kevin Sharpe and Danny Miki (with additional inks by Lary Strucker). Color art is provided by Chris & Mike Garcia of Avalon Studios.

Set in the shared Franchise/MarvelUniverse, the story stars the titular [[ComicBook/XTremeXMen2001 X-Treme X-Men]] team.

After events in the main ''X-Treme X-Men'' series, Rogue's IdentityAbsorption powers are out of control - her mind is in chaos, full of people whose powers and memories she once absorbed, she's suffering seizures and she's... dreaming of being eaten alive by dinosaurs?!

The X-Men decide that Rogue's nightmares might actually be some sort of psychic message, so the team heads south to the titular Savage Land, a LostWorld where dinosaurs and nomadic tribes still exist. Other teams of X-Men have visited the Savage Land many times before - and they still have enemies there, some of whom are ''very'' keen to meet the mutants again…

The first issue was released September 26, 2001. The final issue (#4) was released January 04, 2002.

!!''Xtreme X-Men: Savage Land'' provides examples of:
* AppropriateAnimalAttire: The [[RaptorAttack velociraptors]] in Rogue's nightmare are dressed in X-Men costumes, and one has Storm's distinctive white hair.
* AttackReflector: [[spoiler:Leash tries to use her MindControl on Sage, but is unaware of Sage's own psychic abilities. The X-Man's unbreakable will and computer-like brain simply reflect the attack - and when Leash falls under Sage's control, all of the ''other'' people Leash had controlled are [[KeystoneArmy suddenly freed]]]].
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: Brainchild reverts Storm's "biological clock" to hundreds of generations before to turn her into a savage warrioress driven by bloodlust and sics her on her teammates]].
* GuestStarPartyMember: Beast is here, sporting the feline look from Grant Morrison's ''ComicBook/NewXMen'' book. He was part of the cast for the first three issues of the main title, and reappears there near the end of the quest for Destiny's Diaries (issues #18-19).
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: Brainchild captures Storm and offers to make her his queen, but she refuses.
* KeystoneArmy: [[spoiler:Almost all of Brainchild's army is controlled by Leash's MindControl powers - and when Leash's attempt to control Sage [[AttackReflector completely backfires]], they're all set free. They're also very, ''very'' angry about what's been done to them]].
* LizardFolk: The team find a group of humanoid lizards in the Argentinian pampas, then decide to escort them to the Savage Land.
* {{MindControl}}: Another signature plot point by Claremont: [[spoiler:mutate Leash dominates Thunderbird, and Lupa makes her move on Beast. Storm also undergoes a transformation and is turned into a savage warrioress.]]
* RaptorAttack: The first issue opens with Rogue trapped in a nightmare, being chased down by a pack of velociraptors. She doesn’t wake up until after they start feasting on her. However, these raptors are all [[AppropriateAnimalAttire wearing X-Men uniforms]], and one has Storm's distinctive white hair.
* XtremeKoolLetterz: The series inherits the same modified spelling used for the title of its parent book, ''[[ComicBook/XtremeXmen2001 X-Treme X-Men]]''.
