!!God
[[folder:In General]]
The God and creator of Earth, who, in actuality, is two separate beings engaged in an eons-long game to see whose vison the world will shape itself into.
----
* AmbiguousGender: Both are referred to with gender neutral pronouns and it's ambiguous as to whether they even have a concrete gender at all.
* AmbiguousSituation: While its made clear Sun births the UMA and Luna created the Artifacts, its unclear which of them is responsible for Negators.
* CosmicChessGame: The entire series is driven by their game to see whose version of Earth is better, with Luna betting on people and gifting them Artifacts and Sun betting on the Rules and birthing the UMA.
* JerkassGods: Both of them fall into this to a degree. Sun is obviously this, being the series' BigBad who is deliberately trying to terrorize humanity, while Luna is ALighterShadeOfBlack who is supporting humanity, but is still shown to be dismissive and uncaring about their suffering and deaths,
* KickTheDog: As mentioned below, whichever god deals out the negations often does so at times it would spell disaster for the new Negator.
* NoNameGiven: "The god," "the creator," or just "God" were the names used to refer to the being the Union was fighting through the first part of the story, with even the series' first official character poll referring the being was "God?" instead of a proper name. This is because "God" is actually two beings, Sun and Luna, rather then being single entity.
* SolarAndLunar: One is the sun, the other is the moon, both of which were notably the only other celestial bodies in the universe before Galaxy's addition.
* SuperEmpowering: One of them decides who gets a Negator power when its previous user dies. They usually pick someone in a scenario where receiving a power at that exact moment would be disastrous for them. [[spoiler:It is later revealed the choice of the next Negator is influenced by the previous ones, although it doesn't change the fact they still choose the worst possible timing for them to get said powers.]]

One half of the God responsible for creating the world, the sun itself who has sided with the rules and given birth to UMA to terrorize humanity,
----
* BigBad: The series main antagonist, responsible for creating the [=UMAs=] and constantly throwing the Earth into world-ending scenarios. The Union's main goal is to defeat it and free themselves from its reign of terror.
* TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: As the non-player character of the game the "game" negators play against it, he has clearly rigged the game in his favor. Fuuko, for example, points out that the creation of an UMA not always creates a negator, creating an imbalance in the UMA's favors and making many of them have no direct weakness, and matches like UMA Move and the Unmove negator are rare.
* DemonicPossession: While it typically remains an outside force, it's capable of possessing and manipulating [=UMAs=] directly, such as with Spring in his titular arc.
* EvilIsBigger: Compared to every other UMA, Sun is absolutely massive. Simply standing up causes considerable damage to its surroundings and its feet sink into the earth.
* EvilIsBurningHot: Being the very concept of a sun itself, even being around it is dangerous because of the heat its body gives off.
* GodIsEvil: Is the creator of Earth, but is also constantly putting it in danger by adding new rules to it via UMA, whom it explicitly tells to use their rules to make humans suffer. It's destroyed countless Earths from previous loops as well, yet continues to recreate the world just to try and destroy it again. [[spoiler:Then there's the fact it forces Spring into a more aggressive form because of the [=UMA=] purposely not using its full strength to torment humans. Not to mention it's heavily implied Sun is purposely ensuring humanity will always be on the losing end, such as making Akira [[{{Unperson}} Unknown]] to ensure he couldn't reveal anything he learned from touching G-Liner.]]
* InvincibleVillain: Everything the Union and Under throws at Sun does no real damage and can only buy time for [[spoiler:Fuuko to use the Ark to travel to the next loop.]]
* ThePowerOfTheSun: God turns out to be Sun, making it the sun and the concept of a sun itself.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Luna]]
!!Luna
[[quoteright:256:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uu_luna.png]]

The other half of the God responsible for creating the world, the moon who has sided with humanity and blessed them with artifacts.
----
* BargainWithHeaven: Enacts one of these with Juiz. In exchange for Juiz transferring her 'points' to Andy and Fuuko (resulting in her no longer being able to loop), Luna sends the pair to the future when the quest rewards are given to save Fuuko's life.
* BigGood: While not entirely benevolent, it's on humanity's side and gives as much support to them as its allowed. This is further [[ZigzaggedTrope zig-zagged]] during the [[spoiler: fight against Sun]] as while they claim to bet on people in their fight, but does not appear to be attached to them in any way even as they die. Yes, they are more benevolent than a being who actively wants to snuff out humanity, but certainly not good. [[spoiler:Chapter 198 adds further ambiguity with the reveal that UMA Soul, the first and only rule that actually benefits humanity, is the only UMA that was created by Luna rather than Sun. When Soul questions his creator about it, their only response is to claim it's simply more amusing that way, although Soul notes that isn't the full truth.]]
* DealWithTheDevil: While agreeing to Juiz's request to send Andy and Fuuko to the future, Juiz mentions that the deal works in their favor. Being that both Ruin and Luna enact God's will, the deal only came about due to Juiz having her hand forced by them.
* EmissaryFromTheDivine: Keeps Juiz abreast of God's thoughts after Andy begins wantonly killing [=UMA=] despite no quests being given. It even attempts to have Juiz stop him and after she informs it that she doesn't have any control over him after Ruin's attempt on Fuuko's life, it tells Juiz about God enacting 'regulations' after which [=UMA=] [[SupernaturalSealing Seal]] is summoned to capture Andy.
* TimeMaster: Is first shown after Juiz bargains with it to send Andy and Fuuko to the future to save her life. This is not done for free as Juiz gives up the ability to loop altogether in order to strike the deal.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ruin]]
!!'Ruin'
!!!'''Power:''' [[HealingFactor Unruin]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uu_ruin.jpg]]

A mysterious Negator who appears to hold the creator of the world in absolute reverence.
----
* BloodyMurder: Having bonded with UMA Blood, he's able to utilize blood attacks to a greater extent than even Andy. While not named, many of his attacks are visually similar to both Andy and Victor's.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He appears out of literally nowhere just as Andy and Fuuko are reaffirming their desire to fall in love together and finally get Fuuko's Unluck to [[WhoWantsToLiveForever end his immortal existence]], fatally stabbing Fuuko in the heart with no warning and making it clear that he won't tolerate her existence, mocking Andy's anguish and making it clear that he wants nothing less than to [[HappyEndingOverride deny them both their happiness together]] before leaving. Even after the Round Table manages to figure out a way to save Fuuko's soul to potentially resurrect her, he stages a massacre of humans to get UMA Ghost's attention in bringing Fuuko's soul to him, asking it to devour every trace of her, making it clear that he won't settle for anything less than [[DeaderThanDead her absolute erasure]]. This sets him up as an effective KnightOfCerebus and devoted antagonist to both Andy and Fuuko on a personal level.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Words and concepts like family and friends, as well as the grief their deaths cause, mean nothing to him. At best they're just tools for him to use to his advantage, [[spoiler:like when he caused Nico to have a FaceHeelTurn by showing him the ghost of his lover through UMA Ghost]].
* EvilCounterpart: To [[CompleteImmortality Andy]]. Andy is empathetic and caring towards others and dislikes seeing people suffer, especially after meeting Fuuko. Ruin is a mass murderer who is fanatically devoted to 'God' and doesn't seem to care about who he kills.
* FridgeLogic: In-universe example. Billy wonders how Ruin could get the drop on Fuuko and how someone like Juiz who went through many loops before didn’t know about his existence until now. Billy figures out it’s because Unruin is an inferior version of Undead that can’t save the user when the world ends and loops back to the beginning, hence why Ruin never appeared before until now.
* HeroKiller: His first appearance is attempting this on Fuuko. He very nearly succeeds too, with Fuuko's soul being put into limbo.
* {{Irony}}: He has a vampiric weakness to sunlight, [[WeakenedByTheLight burning in it]], though his healing factor is powerful enough that this won't kill him, and at worst causes his upper layer of skin to repeatedly burn away and restore itself. He's fanatically devoted to 'God', who turns out to literally be the [[ThePowerOfTheSun concept of the sun itself]]. His second appearance after fatally stabbing Fuuko has him admiring the sun underneath a parasol made by UMA Blood, before asking it to dispel his protection, stating that there must be some meaning for him being in this much pain from sunlight under the master rules imposed by God.
* ItsPersonal: Though he's usually depicted as being perpetually cheery, his actions and words make it clear that he holds a personal dislike of Fuuko for unspecified reasons, apparently relating to how she's made Andy a better person from their time together, and whilst he overall desires to see God's will done, he's personally devoted to erasing Fuuko's existence however he can. Although he hates to admit it, [[spoiler: Billy has also triggered this within him by dismissing his abilities and importance to God. Unfortunately for him, this means that Billy gets access to Unruin.]]
* ScarsAreForever: Despite having a HealingFactor comparable to Andy's own, for some reason his left eye has a noticeable impact scar around it that never heals no matter how damaged his face becomes.
* SerialKiller: In spades. Chapter 99 reveals he's killed multiple groups of people, using an UMA to turn them into laughing zombies before they die.
* TokenHeroicOrc: {{Inverted|Trope}}. He's the sole Negator to be genuinely on 'God's' side and be genuinely ''evil'', in start contrast to the Union and Under who are, at their worst, morally unscrupulous.
* WalkingSpoiler: His presence isn't even hinted at until the end of the UMA Spring arc and his first actions kick off the plot of the next one.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Seal]]
!!Seal
[[quoteright:997:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uma_seal_reveal_manga.png]]

An [=UMA=] created by God to regulate Andy and stop him from killing [=UMA=].
----
* AndIMustScream: Its goal is to seal Andy for an eternity since it cannot kill him.
* BandagedFace: Its face and body is covered in wrappings which it uses to seal others.
* BerserkButton: It doesn’t like it when Andy says it’s no different from other UMA and demands he apologize.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:It's last seen in the 100th loop having been impaled by Feng's Zuishin Tekkan Rod to ensure Seal could not try to further interfere with the Union's efforts to allow Fuuko to loop.]]
* PowerCopying: Seal can use the powers of any [=UMA=] or Negator that is currently sealed within it.
* SupernaturalSealing: Its entire purpose upon its creation is to seal the Undead Negator and other [=UMA=].
* TheWorfEffect: It almost gets the better of Andy and ends up fatally wounding Top and Haruka to deactivate Unbreakable, only [[spoiler:for it to have been defeated by Feng off-panel.]]
[[/folder]]

!!The Superior Rules
The Master Rules are special rules chosen after Ragnarøk occurs that become permanent in all future loops. In general, they hold greater power then the average UMA, with the top ten of which being known as the "Superior Rules" and occupying their own Roundtable located in the sun itself.
----

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/master_rules_4.png]][[/labelnote]]
----
* AncientEvil: For the earlier master rules, especially the the Superior Rules who’ve been around ever since the loop’s earliest stages, which started approximately 450+ billion years ago.
* EvilCounterpart: The first ten are collectively this to the Union, being strong, human-looking individuals who gather a round table. The Master Rules' table is a color-inverted version of the Union's to emphasize this. Several of them take this even further by being the very rules several of the Negators negate, with Death acting as one to Andy's "Undead", Change acting as one to Gina's "Unchange", Luck acting as one to Fuuko's "Unluck", and Justice acting as one to Juiz[[spoiler:/Julia]]'s "Unjustice".
* HumansAreInsects: With the exception of Soul, they collectively see humanity as beneath them, and arrogantly believe their victory against humanity is assured. This is in spite of the fact that Juiz has managed to kill most of them across the 100 Loops, with their choosing to blame it on her use of "Unjustice" more than anything. Soul points out that this is their FatalFlaw, their inability to recognize humanity's potential to use the Rules of "Soul", "Death", and "Change" to their advantage, hence their incredulity when [[spoiler:Fuuko, Top, Haruka, and Julia succeed in killing Beast]], and that if they continue to act as if humanity is truly beneath them, [[spoiler:the Master Rules ''will'' lose to the Negators.]] The mere notion of such is enough to send Luck, War, Sick, and Change into a rage and results in them trying to attack Soul, only stopping when Soul reminds them that [[ImpliedDeathThreat none of them could beat him even if they tried]].
* IGaveMyWord: If they offer a reward for completing a goal, they must give said reward regardless of their feelings on it if the goal is completed.
* LogicalWeakness: Thanks to them all having views of humanity similar to Sun, Juiz’s Unjustice is exceptionally more effective against the top ten Master Rules, forcing them to act in opposition to their views of justice and allowing Juiz to defeat a majority of them [[spoiler: without using SoulPower.]]
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: The top ten Master Rules are shown as being utterly unbeatable by humanity [[spoiler:until one learns how to use the SoulPower aspect of their Negator powers. Fuuko learning how to do so and teaching Haruka and Top to do it as well allow the three to defeat and kill Beast.]]
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Justified. The Master Rules are powerful UMA whose weakest member gave the Union a difficult fight, but as Fuuko discovers, they can't actually leave the Master Room or harm Fuuko outside a quest because Andy has been sealing them away. It's only because of Andy weakening after holding them back for millions of years that Sick was even able to appear in a quest.
* ThePrettyGuysAreStronger: Unlike other UMA, the Superior Rules, the most powerful of all the UMA, are all human in appearance. It's implied that becoming a Master Rule bestows this upon them, with lesser [=UMAs=] still having an inhuman appearance. This seems to be another of God's cruel ironic fates, as some [=UMAs=] like Spring are shown to be attached to humanity, but rejected because of their monstrous appearance, yet the [=UMAs=] that ''could'' fit in amongst them with a bit of disguising are the ones most dedicated to enforcing Gods will of wiping humanity out.
* SoulPower: All of them derive their powers via soul manipulation in some form or another, something Fuuko comes to realize after figuring out that the first rule added was "Soul". For example, [[spoiler:Beast acts as TheBeastMaster by attaching Soul Chains to beasts and making them subservient to him, and can attain the powers of beasts or even Negators via SoulEating.]]
* StandardEvilOrganisationSquad: Seems to be shaping up as this for the final stretches of the 101st loop, at least for the first ten, since they are distinguished by Apocalypse as being the strongest of the 100 chosen so far. Sick even has an X on his chest denoting his position as the tenth master rule.

Seat I of the Master Rule Roundtable, the first rule added that represents the concepts of souls and their energy.
----
* AffablyEvil: He's generally respectful and cordial despite being the top master rule. While he does try and intimidate Fuuko during their first meeting, he laughs when it's clear it didn't work and happily answers her question about Andy's whereabouts to reward her boldness after the fact.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Something he [[LampshadeHanging acknowledges himself]]. He encouraged Lan to kill [[spoiler:Ichico so the Union wouldn't be able to use her knowledge on SoulPower to their advantage, but failed to account for Lan's obsession with Nico, who was with Ichico at the time yet lacked "Unforgettable", prompting Lan to force Nico to gain it back. Not only does Nico manage to get Feng, someone ''else'' with an innate understanding of the soul, involved in their mission, but Nico regaining "Unforgettable" combined with grasping Apocalypse gives him the memories of the prior Loops. This, combined with his intellect, instantly gives him near complete understanding of the soul, giving the Union ''three'' individuals with in-depth knowledge of the soul now.]]
-->'''Soul:''' It seems we should have been wary of [[spoiler:Unforgettable]] instead, huh?
* EnergyWeapon: He summons a blade made of his own soul when fighting Andy in The Master Room.
* HumansAreSpecial: Something that separates him from his fellow Master Rules is that he acknowledges just how special humanity is, how they've managed to utilize the Rules of "Soul", "Death", and "Change" to achieve unimaginable feats, and at their current rate of growth [[spoiler:are more than likely going to ''win'' against them]]. This is contrasted by the rest of the Master Rules viewing humanity as inferior, which Soul points out is the reason Juiz was able to beat them in the prior 100 Loops, and the reason why [[spoiler:Beast was killed by Fuuko, Top, Haruka, and Julia]], that they refused to acknowledge the ''potential'' humanity holds, and were more fit to blame their prior loses on Juiz's use of "Unjustice". {{Justified|Trope}} as the majority of the Master Rules [[spoiler:were created by ''Sun'', and therefore share his disdain for humanity, while Soul was created by ''Luna'', and shares her appreciation of humanity even if it's his job to lead the Master Rules in ensuring their downfall.]]
* NoSell: Andy's soul chains are able to tie all of the other Superior Rules with ease, but he can simply knock them away without worry due to his rule.
* PunchClockVillain: He makes clear he doesn't have any sadistic pleasure in torturing humanity, nor does he have any devotion to enforcing Sun's orders of him. He just sees it as doing his job as leader of the Master Rules. He even takes on the role of a CombatCommentator for Fuuko, Haruka, and Top's battle with Beast, genuinely complimenting their ingenuity and figuring out how to use SoulPower, [[spoiler:his only response to Beast's death being that they'll meet again in the end if the Master Rules ultimately win.]]
* SoulPower: He represents the rule of souls and their energy to the world, allowing to contend even with Andy's otherwise unbeatable soul-based techniques with little effort. As Fuuko realizes, this is the base of most other UMA's abilities [[spoiler:and even the nature of the Negator powers]].
* UniformityException: He's the only Master Rule that was [[spoiler:''not'' created by Sun; rather, he was created by Luna. Fittingly, while all other Rules that came after him were meant to ''restrict'' or ''punish'' humanity, "Soul" is the only Rule that solely ''benefits'' humanity, which Soul confirms when he questions Luna on why she made him first and gave humanity "potential". He similarly is the only one who possesses VillainRespect for humanity, noting that HumansAreSpecial, while the other Master Rules all despise humanity.]]
* VillainRespect: Towards both Fuuko and Andy. He finds Fuuko amusing due to being much bolder and crazier than Juiz was in the past, and openly calls Andy the "strongest Negator" in amazement for his incredible use of soul-based techniques to hold all the Superior Rules off. He later is impressed by Fuuko, Haruka, and Top turning the battle against Beast thanks to a new understanding of souls.
* VillainousFriendship: He is genuinely fond of the other Master Rules and considers them his close comrades, [[spoiler:and is turn saddened when he has to witness Beast and Lan's deaths, his only solace being the hope they will be reborn should the Master Rules defeat the Negators.]]
* WorldsStrongestMan: With the exception of God, Soul is the strongest UMA there is. Even if the other nine Master Rules ganged up on him, Soul implies he would easily be the victor. So far, only Andy has given him a challenge.

----
* TheGrimReaper: She's the embodiment of the rule of death.
* PrayerPose: She's constantly in one of these, even when being chained up by Andy's soul chains.
* SinisterMinister: She's a nun-themed UMA who works to uphold God's authority as a member of the Master Rule Roundtable.
* SmellsOfDeath: According to Change, Death fittingly reeks of blood and guts, something that she is quite insecure about.
* StatuesqueStunner: Death takes on the appearance of a young woman with an ethereal beauty to her, and also stands taller than all the other Superior Rules besides War.

----
* BerserkButton: Andy is one to her thanks to him having forced the Master Rules to stay on the Sun for millions of years and him not changing at all in the meantime. Andy constantly flashing his naked body, especially a certain part between his legs, also adds to Change’s hatred of the man.
* HairTriggerTemper: Change is incredibly quick to explosive, vein-pulsing anger, usually over the Negators defying her rule or achieving any sort of victory over the Master Rules.
* ImprobableHairstyle: Her hair is styled into two extremely long pigtails that resemble strands of DNA, likely to represent her ability to alter things on a molecular level.
* MsFanservice: Change takes on the form of a beautiful woman in a LittleBlackDress that shows off her [[AbsoluteCleavage breasts]] and [[LegFocus long legs.]]
* {{Transmutation}}: As Gina's opposite, her powers are fittingly based in this. Where Gina can solidify objects in place, Change can shift an object's state of matter on a whim, such as when she began liquifying the Union's space suits while they were visiting Andy on the sun. She also implies she can affect living beings as well by her comments about changing Gina's form before getting interrupted by Andy.

* FourIsDeath: They are the Fourth Master Rule and is the UMA representing the concept of luck, falling under this as they are an antagonist and one of the most powerful Superior Rules.
* InSeriesNickname: UMA Death calls them "Lucky", which indirectly confirmed them as UMA Luck in their first appearance.
* LadyLuck: They're the physical embodiment of the rule of luck, making them this in the ''Undead Unluck'' world. Their exact gender is unknown at the moment, however.

* KnightInShiningArmor: Fittingly, their design invokes this concept. They don a full suit of knight armor and carry a claymore, reflecting their rule as knights are seen as symbols of justice and heroism.
* TheQuietOne: Out of the Master Rules, they notably don't talk much and the only instance they have spoken so far is a moment where all of the Master Rules agree to try leaving the Master Room.

* CigarChomper: He is always seen smoking a large cigar.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: He can summon weapons of war by calling for them over a walkie-talkie, such as summoning a tank to blast Andy out of the Master Room.
* TwoFaced: The right side of his face looks like a normal, gruff man's face, while the other half is skeletal with smoke from his cigar pouring out of the open sockets.

Nico and Ichico use their final word to summon poison laced spear to counter any attempts Lan trying to pick a word to heal herself, but Lan instead decides to uses her final word summon a pair of wedding rings on Nico and Ichico's fingers. While Ichico is left confused initially, Nico can only smile sadly as he realizes what she's done before deciding to take Lan's nudge and propose to Ichico then and there.]]
* {{Bookworm}}: She has her nose buried in a book non-stop, no matter the circumstances. She notably only looks away from her precious literature when she finally finds Nico after returning to Earth.
* CastFromLifespan: The images created for Deadly Rule Shiritori are constructed based on the player's imagination using their souls, with more fantastical images requiring more SoulPower from the user to create. When images that are made with a lot of soul are destroyed, the player who summoned them suffer a blowback of damage, such as Ichico falling to the ground in pain after her image of the Umibozu was destroyed. [[spoiler:This ends up being Lan's downfall, as her images of Sun and Luna required so much of her soul to form that Luna's defeat is enough to knock from Phase 3 back to Phase 2, and Sun's is able to send her knocking right on death's door.]]
* DePower: [[spoiler:Lan is notable for being the first UMA in Phase 3 to be knocked out of that phase and back to Phase 2. Once she takes enough soul based damage from Feng, Nico, and Ichico's assault, she reverts back to her Phase 2 form, reverting the game back to one word per player as well.]]
* EarlyBirdCameo: Her name was dropped all the way back in Chapter 10 of the manga, as neutralizing her was one of the first quests revealed in the series, though the actual event happened offscreen by Nico with her actual appearance never shown. It wouldn't be for over a ''hundred and seventy'' chapters later that she would make a physical appearance as a Master Rule UMA.
* EnfantTerrible: She's one of the 10 Superior Rules, but resembles a prepubescent, bratty girl in her Phase 2 form. Behind her cute face, she hides a vicious grudge against Nico, flashing multiple {{slasher smile}}s at him when they finally meet again. Nico even directly calls her a "little brat" after he realizes the unfairness of her game.
* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:While she refuses to face defeat prematurely, once it becomes clear she genuinely can't win she accepts it with a surprising amount of grace. She not only keeps her game going even when reduced to her core form, but she uses her last word to gift Nico and Ichico a pair of wedding rings, simultaneously blessing the union involving the man she loves while also admitting defeat and accepting death. Its notable that her final word, "Santuoka" (Lithuanian for "marriage"), ends in the N syllable in Japanese ("kekkon"), meaning she deliberately chose a word that would have cost her the game even if she weren't on death's door already.]]
* HistoryRepeats: {{Play|ingWithATrope}}ed With and actually invoked a bit by Language. The 101st Loop sees her once again facing off against Nico, in his lab, as part of a quest. This time, however, Nico doesn't possess "Unforgettable" much to Language's chagrin, and has Ichico by his side.
* ImaginationBasedSuperpower: The objects summoned during her game of Shiritori are based on this. The objects are based on the chosen words, but the exact characteristics and overall form of them are based on the player's imagination. For example, Lan's meteor is made of iron because she imagined it with maximum fire power. Alternatively, the version of the ultimate shield, Aegis, Nico summoned was messy and wobblily in its construction but still blocked the meteor without issue, because he had never seen it before and could not imagine it's appearance but could still perfectly imagine it's function. The game also allows for the manifestation fictional/mythical creatures and objects, like Yokai and Dragons, so long as the player can properly imagine them.
* InSeriesNickname: "Lan" is one for her, used by herself and Soul.
* ItsPersonal: She has a massive grudge against Nico, due to him being the only negator aside from Unjustice to ever properly kill her. She spends the majority of her time trapped in the Master Room (which totals to 4.6 ''billion years'' according to her) looking forward to a rematch, beelines it straight to his lab once she's finally able to escape, and is enraged when she realizes this Nico hasn't manifested his Unforgettable yet. While Soul [[spoiler:had already asked her to kill Ichico so the Negators wouldn't be able to learn more about SoulPower from her]], Lan instead tries to kill Ichico ''just'' to force Nico to manifest Unforgettable. She's so obsessed with this rematch that she forces Fuuko to add Nico and Ichico to the Roundtable under threat of ''collapsing civilization'' then and there even though Nico still isn't a Negator therefore normally would not be eligible, just so the two of them can properly face off.
* KilledOffScreen: She was neutralized by Nico offscreen in the 100th Loop while Andy, Fuuko, and Shen were busy dealing with UMA Spoil, leading to the unification of languages across the world. {{Subverted|Trope}} in Chapter 200, which shows her final moments against Nico in the 100th Loop, and establishes that said defeat was owed to Nico's use of "Unforgettable", Lan gaining a grudge against Nico for his killing her lasting into the 101st Loop.
* LogicalWeakness: While Unjustice is the natural enemy of the Superior Rules in general, Unforgettable is a specific counter to her abilities. Since her combat abilities are based on an all-languages game of Shiritori, Unforgettable's ability to memorize any and all languages with ease allowed Nico to outplay Language easily in the 100th loop.
* LostVoicePlot: One of her phase two abilities is disabling the ability to speak, which she uses to keep Fuuko from communicating with others at the Union base. She can also invoke this on a ''global scale'' if she so chooses and cause a collapse of civilization in the process, which she threatens to do if Fuuko doesn't add Nico and Ichico to the Roundtable so she can face them as part of her Quest.
* MeteorSummoningAttack: Her first word in her game of Shiritori is "Ryuusei" (Meteor), summoning an iron meteor she specifically mentions was inspired by Fuuko's special attack.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Soul gave her the task of killing Ichico so she could [[spoiler:cripple the Union's ability to learn more about SoulPower. Not only does she fail to properly do that before its too late, her obsessive focus on beating Nico only pushes him to become stronger and develop his own SoulPower-boosted version of Unforgettable alongside strengthening Ichico and Feng's already strong soul abilities.]]
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:Like Beast before her, she has Phase 3 form that boosts her power tremendously. For hers, she takes on an older appearance, growing to the size of an adult woman and gaining more mature features. Her crown also expands from being normal-crown size to an actual tower on her head, around the size of her Phase 2 self in height. Power-wise, the new phase adds a new rule to Deadly Rule Shiritori, allowing both players choose two words on their turn instead of one. She also claims the new phase expands her own imagination as well, which she proves immediately after transforming by adding Latin to the game and choosing the words "Sol" and "Luna," summoning weaker but still powerful copies of ''the Gods themselves'' to attack Nico and co.]]
* ParlorGames: Lan's combat abilities are derived from an extreme version of the Japanese word game Shiritori, in which the players are required to say a word which begins with the final kana of the previous word and a player loses if their word ends with the Japanese syllable "n". Her "Deadly Rule Shiritori", however, uses ''all'' existing languages, her and her opponent's chosen words will manifest physically and clash against each other, and if a chosen word's Japanese translation ends in the "n" syllable that also counts as a loss.
* ThePowerOfLanguage: Not only is she the literal manifestation of it, but she explores it more in-depth in her Shiritori game. The power of a summoned word's manifestation depends on ''Kotodama'', the Japanese concept for words having intrinsic soul and spirit. Thus, manifestations that are more steeped in romanticism and imagination like Lance of Longinus and Shen Long are stronger than strictly logical derivations, and can even seem to have an effect on souls like Ichico.
* PuzzleBoss: Literally, as her fight involves a game of Deadly Rule Shiritori where the players to use words to damage their opponent rather than a straightforward fight like with Sick or Beast.
* SignatureHeadgear: She wears a building-like crown that seems to represent the Tower of Babel, fitting as she is the UMA representing language. [[spoiler:Her Phase 3 has the small crown shift into an actual tower.]]
* SuicideAttack: [[spoiler:Her last major attack in her Shiritori game is using the word "Supernova Explosion" while her copy of Sun is present, content to reduce herself, Nico, and everyone else participating AND on earth into ashes.]]
* UnwinnableByDesign: Deadly Rule Shiritori is stacked in her favor to a huge degree. The lose condition is met if a chosen word ends in the Japanese syllable "n", but avoiding that becomes easier and easier as more Languages are added to the game. Considering she is the embodiment of Language itself, its practically impossible to beat her using the game's rules, something Nico realizes early on in his fight with her.
* VillainousCrush: She eventually reveals that she developed romantic feelings for Nico after being beaten by him in the last loop, which is part of the reason she spent billions of years obsessed with encountering him again.

Seat IX of the Master Rule Roundtable, an UMA that represents the concept of roaring beasts and the rules of nature.
----
* {{Animorphism}}: As part of his CannibalismSuperpower, his wolf pelt can shift into form of other animals he's eaten, such as a giant snake to attack opponents or octopus tentacles and suction cups to grapple foes.
* BarbarianLonghair: Under his wolf pelt, he has long, unkempt black hair.
* TheBeastmaster: Befitting an UMA representing beasts, he's able to control the creatures of nature, including mammals, bird, reptiles and even marine life. [[spoiler:He specifically does so by connecting to their souls, but if the connection is severed by someone else who can see the soul like Fuuko, then the beast is released from his control.]] [[spoiler:His Phase 3 form negates the latter entirely while also allowing him to summon extinct ancient creatures.]]
* CannibalismSuperpower: Beast can take on the properties of anything living thing he eats, including his fellow beasts. [[spoiler:If can get his maw on even a piece of the specific Negator, he can also replicate their abilities as well, such as using Unbreakable to harden his pelt into armor.]]
* ContemporaryCaveman: His design is very clearly based on that of a caveman, with his only clothing being a loincloth, fur cuffs around his upper arms and legs, and a wolf pelt draped across his head.
* DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans: He wants become the strongest rule there is so he can put an end the era of man and restore things to the way they were in past loops, where humans are slaughtered and subjected to horrors by his beasts.
* FailedASpotCheck: [[spoiler:Near the end of his fight with the Union, Beast decides to hard focus on Fuuko due to her being leader. In doing so, he fails to notice that Julia has slipped away and gathered Beast's soul fragments from the ancient beasts he revived, allowing Fuuko to charge them with Unluck before they return to Beast's body and ultimately leading to his death.]]
* FangsAreEvil: His smile is full of sharp, fanged teeth to emphasize his ferocity and violent nature. They're strong enough to catch bullets mid-air.
* FossilRevival: [[spoiler:In his third phase, he's able to revive long extinct animal species with his "Revive Destruction" attack. Its implied he does this by imbuing his soul into their remains, allowing him to command them without soul lines and while also imbuing them with Unbreakable skin.]]
* FlunkyBoss: He summons an entire herd of different animals to assist him with his fight against Fuuko, Top, and Haruka. [[spoiler:For his Phase 3, he also can revive ancient creatures and summon them at will without needing soul chains to control them since he instead imbues pieces of his soul in them.]]
* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: [[spoiler:Ironically, him going all out and shifting into Phase 3 is what provided the opening the Union needed to finally put him down. Because he had fragmented his Soul into his various revived fossils to attack, Julia is able to gather the separated soul pieces and then load them with Unluck before they returned to his body, ensuring that Top with Unstoppable and Haruka's "Runner's Regalia" is able to overcome his stolen Unbreakable and destroy his core. To rub salt on the wound, the reason Fuuko was able to come to her EurekaMoment concerning souls was because of his earlier speech that mentioned that souls were the first rule and thus the basis of all of the rules.]]
* MightyRoar: One of his abilities is letting out a wicked howl with so much force it can stop an oncoming landslide and so loud it can burst someone's eardrums, which is exactly what he does when he first touches down on earth in the 101st loop.
* NatureIsNotNice: [[spoiler:Cranked up to eleven when he exclaims that he, and by extension ALL beasts (AKA the entire animal kingdom), were specifically created to inflict suffering on humanity.]]
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:Once he realizes Fuuko has begun to unravel the secrets of SoulPower, he opts to go all out and shifts into Phase 3, something only UMA Spring had done in the past via Sun's direct involvement. Beast's phase three allows him to absorb multiple animal souls at once, and revive extinct species to help him attack.]]
* PeltsOfTheBarbarian: Every piece of his wardrobe is made of wolf pelt, emphasizing his barbaric and animalistic nature. Said pelt is able to shift into different animal skins depending on what abilities he's using, and can even [[spoiler:harden into armor with the aid of Unbreakable]].
* TheSocialDarwinist: Beast's personal philosophy is based on his rule, which is heavily rooted in a "survival of the fittest" mentality. He believes that he who hunts is the winner, and openly invites Fuuko to hunt him back if she truly wants to win.
* SoulEating: [[spoiler:How his CannibalismSuperpower really works, as its devouring the soul of a creature that allows him to use its characteristics and abilities. This is how he's able to perfectly replicate Unbreakable at it's fullest potential, which Haruka points out should be impossible without years of training to master the power. Fuuko corroborates that thought when recalling Billy's failed attempts to replicate it with Unfair, and ultimately realizes that it was by eating a piece of Haruka's soul that he is able to use Unbreakable as if he were an Isshin himself.]]
* TokenNonHuman: As far as other Superior Rules at least, and rather fitting for their namesake, Beast is the only one among the group so far who can adopt less humanoid forms, demonstrated by morphing into a giant snake to fight Fuuko.
* TorsoWithAView: [[spoiler:After his soul is hit with Fuuko's Unluck, Top unleashes an Unstoppable fueled dropkick right to his chest, the force of the impact paired with Haruka's "Runner's Regalia" sending the duo circling the globe several times over before Top is finally able to pierce through Beast's armor. As a result, Beast finds himself with a gaping hole in his torso with his core destroyed, the rest of his body falling apart shortly after as he dies.]]

The X seat of the Master Rule Roundtable, an UMA that represents the concept of disease, ailments, and overall sickness. As the tenth Master Rule UMA, Sick is one of the strongest UMA and has been around since the very beginning of the loop.
----
* AnArmAndALeg: Loses his right arm to Rip and Latla's attack, with Unrepair preventing it from regenerating. He seems to have had it replaced through currently undisclosed means.
* BadPowersBadPeople: Is the literal embodiment of the concept of sickness, just being around him makes all sicknesses worsen exponentially, and even gains more power by extracting said sickness. Is anyone even surprised that he's evil?
* ConductingTheCarnage: Literally in this case, as he uses a baton to conduct his Juniors to attack.
* CurbStompBattle: On the receiving end of this once Andy's clone shows up due to Undead negating illnesses to the point where he only escapes with his core intact because of Move's intervention.
* FemmeFatalons: Has claw-like nails he can use to pierce his enemies.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: He gets vertically cut in half by a combo attack from Rip and Latla. Because of Unrepair, he still stuck like this, with his next appearance showing he had get stitched back together and the wound still remains.
* HealingFactor: Is said to have one so potent, the only way the Union can beat him is if they have Rip (Unrepair) on their team. Even after getting sliced in half, he's still alive since his core is still intact.
* LogicalWeakness: All the illnesses in the world can do nothing against someone who can't die like Andy. We're also later shown Juiz defeating him in an earlier loop while wearing a gas mask, implying proper protective equipment makes his powers at least a little bit easier to deal with.
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: He considers the crying wails of the sick patients in Rip's hospitals to be "killer music" and his offering to God.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: he barely reacts after getting his arm sliced off, and only smirks at Rip's ensuing BadassBoast. Later, he's visibly shocked when Rip and Latla manage to slice him in two, but he shakes it off with SlasherSmile only a second later.
* NecessarilyEvil: Likes to see himself as this, claiming he performs population control on humans; he kills some off when there's too many, and leaves them be when there's too few.
* PlagueMaster: Fittingly for the embodiment of sickness. Not only can he cause illnesses and ailments in others, but just being in his presence causes preexisting conditions to worsen.
* SmallNameBigEgo: To a degree. While he is one of the top Master Rules and is therefore plenty powerful, he's still the weakest of ten, yet he considers himself to be the "only rule that makes the world run so beautifully" despite nine others outranking him and it being clear the only thing that kept Andy from finishing him off was Move's interference. Fittingly, when he arrives back to the Master Room, the other seats mercilessly tease him for his loss.
* TheWorfEffect: He's able to withstand the entire Union fighting against him, barley breaking a sweat even after being vertically bisected. Once Andy's clone arrives, however, Sick barely lasts a minute before he's almost crushed to death.
