!!The Outlaws

* HundredPercentHeroismRating: Not universally, but in Jump City at the very least, AHeroToHisHometown they're respected as heroes. This makes it difficult for the Justice League to apprehend them without causing an uproar, as the city's inhabitants actively lie about knowing anything on them to prevent their arrest. In addition, their home state, California, is actively fighting Luthor's SuperRegistrationAct so as they don't lose the Outlaws as heroes.
* ActionGirl: Raven and Starfire both definitely qualify. If anything, they're practically the strongest members of the team.
* AntiHeroTeam: They're all good guys at their core, but they're willing to commit murder and other ruthless actions against criminals and the corrupt. They also have a willingness to commit illegal activities such as theft if it means achieving their goals, such as stealing artifacts or in Red X's case, Xenothium to power his suit.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Life has not been kind to any of them. Even Titan, who's had it the easiest, isn't immune to this trope either.
** Red X was the second Robin, who was never really welcomed as Dick Grayson's replacement. He lived on the streets for most of his life until he was taken in by Batman, but frequently clashed with his adoptive father's ideology due to seeing the justice system as useless. Then the Joker killed him, then he was resurrected, then he saw the third Robin and felt betrayed and replaced by the closest thing to a father he had.
** Arsenal was the original Speedy, who was captured by Lex Corp goons and had his arm cut off to supply DNA for the Light's cloning experiments. He awakens years later to learn that he lost eight years of his life and his clone had been living it, as well as his mentor having apparently given up on finding him, having lost hope that he was still alive.
** Starfire was the princess of Tamaran until the planet Apokolips threatened to go to war with her people. A deal was made and her sister, Blackfire, gave her as a peace offering to avoid war and take the throne for herself. She spent years of her life fighting, suffering enslavement, and being tortured until she finally escaped to Earth.
** Raven was born as the daughter of Trigon, an extra-dimensional demon lord who intends to use her to invade reality when the time comes. She's painfully aware of all this and has been an outcast for her entire life because of this and her naturally creepy demeanor.
** Titan lived in a Jewish community that was very rigid in it's practices. Discovering he was a metahuman was bad enough, but his sexual orientation was too much for his family to stomach, so he was kicked out by their laws and has been on his own ever since.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Some of their members have dark coloring (particularly Red X, Arsenal, and especially Raven) and all of them are ruthless in their dispatch of crime, given their lack of aversion to killing, but they are ultimately heroes who protect the innocent and are working to stop a malevolent GalacticConqueror.
* TheDreaded: They quickly become this to the criminals of Jump City thanks to their lethal approach to dealing with crime.
* AHeroToHisHometown: Jump City loves the Outlaws, branding them the local superhero team.
* ItsPersonal: Some of them hold pretty strong grudges against certain people.
** Red X wants to kill the Joker for his torture and death from years past, not to mention the countless others the clown has killed.
** Arsenal acknowledges that he has an addiction to making Luthor's life a living Hell for putting him on ice nine years ago.
** Rachel has nothing but hatred for her demonic father thanks to his blood coursing through her and causing her to become both an outcast and potential ApocalypseMaiden for his machinations.
** Kori despises Darkseid for the years of torture and slavery that he forced upon her. She gets particularly aggressive whenever they fight Parademons.
* NeverHurtAnInnocent: They defend innocents and comfort them. Criminals and the corrupt, on the other hand, are shown no mercy.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: So we have a former StreetUrchin turned thief since he was resurrected, a HandicappedBadass archer suffering from CloneAngst in spite of being the original, a half-demonic goth with more DaddyIssues than can be counted, an alien WarriorPrincess top-model and a withdrawn gay Jew able to turn into metal. Is that sufficiently weird for you?
* TrueCompanions: They almost function more like a family, especially off-mission.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Raven and Starfire. Almost a GenderEqualEnsemble because they are only five members.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: They aren't exactly villains, but they're much more ruthless in their dispatch of crime than the Justice League. Regardless, the people of Jump City adore them for their actions against criminals and going out of their way to comfort the civilians they protect.

!!Red X / Robin II (Jason Todd / Peter Haywood)
!!!Species: Human
->Abilities: peak athletic abilities, swordsmanship, acrobatics, xenothium powered suit
The second Robin. He was originally an orphan taken in by Batman and trained to be Robin. However, his experiences growing up led him to see the justice system as broken and incapable of solving problems. His stubborn attitude caused him to clash with Batman numerous times. He was eventually killed by the Joker, or so everyone believed. Unknown to most, he was taken in by the League of Assassins and resurrected through the Lazarus pit. He now leads the Outlaws and seeks to get his revenge on the Joker for his suffering.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Despite his opposition to the Team and League, he's notably far less ruthless and antagonistic than his comic book counterpart.
** In the comics, he JumpedOffTheSlipperySlope, becoming a crime lord and outright villain before he fully transitioned into being an UnscrupulousHero. Here, he starts out as an AntiHero and, while he serves the League of Shadows as an independent agent, still actively protects the innocent and refuses to harm them. In the comics, he didn't care about civilians getting caught in the crossfire.
** Also in the comics, he tried to kill Tim Drake out of jealousy. Here, while he's certainly envious of the new Robin, it never reaches that level, and he goes out of his way to save Tim's life twice. In fact, when he threatens to kill his other brother, Dick Grayson, he was so horrified that he was effectively bedridden after the fact for a while.
* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: Trope. His battle style is now a more aggressive version of how Robin would fight rather than the gunslinger fighting style he used as Red Hood.
* AdaptationNameChange: He goes by Red X rather than his typical Red Hood moniker.
* AlwaysSecondBest: How he feels about himself in comparison to Tim Drake.
-->Jason: He's rich, a genius, cautious, polite, and trusting. Everything I'm not.
* AntiMagic: The swords Talia gave him are designed to hurt mystical being and are immune to magic themselves, as shown in his fight with Klarion when the Witch Boy tried to use his magic on them.
* BackFromTheDead: The Lazarus pit resurrected him after he was killed by the Joker.
* BigBrotherMentor: Whenever he spends time with Damian, he takes time to teach his younger adoptive brother how to better combat metahumans.
* BreakTheCutie: The Team never really accepted him as Dick's successor, then he messily died, then he was forcibly resurrected, then he learned his father never avenged him and apparently replaced him. Can you really blame him for turning out the way he did?
* BrokenAce: He's a highly intelligent and charismatic leader for the Outlaws, a master of unarmed and armed combat, as well as having high marks in his day-to-day classes. He's also a broken, psychological mess of a kid due to feelings of abandonment as well as dying and being resurrected.
* BrokenPedestal: He becomes one for Tim after the kid starts investigating his past killing Felipe Gonzales and piecing together that he's Red X. Doesn't stop Tim from trying to help him though.
* CallingTheOldManOut: Heartbreakingly done with a lifted-from-the-comics speech when .
* CompositeCharacter: In the traditional comicbooks, Dick Grayson was the Robin associated with Raven and Starfire. He's also mixed with Red X from the Teen Titans cartoon, whose identity was never learned.
* CoolBigBro: Is seen as this by Damian. He deliberately invoked this so he that he didn't turn out like his aloof adoptive brother, Dick Grayson, and it seems to have paid off.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: While it doesn't really increase his physical capabilities, his suit does let him teleport a good distance. He also wields mythical swords that are immune to Klarion's magic and can even hurt the Lord of Chaos.
* FemaleGaze: Gets this from Benji, who apparently stares at his butt.
* HappilyAdopted: He was taken in by Talia al Ghul after his resurrection. He views her as a mother, which she reciprocates.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: He honestly has a hard time seeing himself as a good person. He often calls himself the walking manifestation of everything wrong with humanity.
* JokerImmunity: Ironic considering who this trope is named after, but let's just say he didn't stay dead for long thanks to the Lazarus pit.
* LegacyCharacter: He's the second Robin after Dick Grayson/Nightwing.
* LockedIntoStrangeness: After his resurrection, he gained a patch of white hair that never seems to go away no matter how much he dyes it.
* MoralEventHorizon: InUniverse example. When Nightwing confronts him before he can kill the Joker, he warns him not to cross this line. Jason is aware that there's no going back from this, and he doesn't care.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Has this reaction when he realizes that he threatened to kill his own brother. It was so bad that he was effectively bedridden for a while.
* MythologyGag: His Red X identity. Also, his association with Raven and Starfire.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Since he presented himself as a master thief, the Justice League considered him more an annoying pest than a true danger. When he and the Outlaws effortlessly defeat the team, they start to become weary of him, but still don't see him as a true danger.
* WouldntHitAGirl: He makes it clear that he absolutely despises the idea of hurting women, especially since they have shown him the most kindness in his life. Those who do this tend to be very high on his "to kill" list. There is only one exception to this rule that he has no issue brutally maiming and torturing: Harley Quinn.
* WouldntHurtAChild: He also makes it clear that he doesn't hurt children, or at the very least, tries to avoid hurting them too much if forced into a situation where he has to fight them.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: On the receiving end. When confronted by him, Tim is shocked to realize Jason considers himself a screw-up and tries to assure him this opinion is wrong. It doesn't seem it worked.

!!Arsenal / Speedy I (Roy Harper)
!!!Species: Human
->Abilities: martial combat skills, fire arms, peak athletic abilities
The original Speedy who was captured by The Light almost a decade ago. The Light cut off his right arm and used his [=DNA=] to create a clone of him that would infiltrate the Justice League. He was freed by his clone and originally joined the Team, but was kicked off due to his selfishness and inability to get over his personal demons. He later encountered Red X who offered him a place and team where he would belong, an offer he accepted, and doesn't regret.
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: Season 3 reveals that he made amends with everyone and started working with his clone and the clone of his uncle. In this story, he's more vindictive of the Team and actively opposes them.
* ArtificialLimbs: He still has his bionic arm. He got his old one replaced with two different versions; A non-combative one that he can feel sensations with so that he can better blend in, and a much more advanced version of the one Luthor gave him.
* BadassNormal: No powers, just a great fighter with some impressive tech that lets him keep pace with the superhuman threats he encounters like Bane and the Parademons.
* CloneAngst: An inversion of this trope since he is the original Roy Harper. Unlike in Invasion, where he was okay with his clone and grateful for his rescue, here, he's much more hostile toward him. According to him, the reason is since everyone on the Team hoped that he would turn out more like his own doppelganger, he got fed up with constantly being compared to his double.
* EtTuBrute: The Team has this reaction to him being a member of the Outlaws, not believing that he would ever betray them for a group of criminals and being heartbroken by it. Arsenal, for his part, bluntly tells them that they were never friends in the first place.
* EveryoneHasStandards: PlayedForLaughs, but while he wants to make Luthor suffer, even he finds the idea of force feeding him Tamaranian food to be too cruel.
* EvilFormerFriend: The Team isn't really too hot about his joining the Outlaws.
* FieryRedhead: He's extremely vocal in his distrust and disillusion over the Team and is a pretty big hothead even after joining the Outlaws.
* GadgeteerGenius: Of all the Outlaws, he's shown to be a master of tinkering and has constructed numerous weapons for his own use as well as several "Roy-bots" to safeguard their manor.
* TheGunslinger: His main weapons tend to be guns and his aiming skills are second-to-none.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Thanks to being put on ice, he's chronologically an adult despite being 16-17 years old physically.
* TookALevelInKindness: He's become considerably much more friendly thanks to his time among the Outlaws, as he's found a place where he belongs and has friends who understand him. He frequently shows a lot of comradery with them and looks out for them no matter what.

!!Raven (Rachel Roth)
!!!Species: Demon/Human Hybrid
->Abilities: dark magic
A sullen teenager with a specialization in dark magic. She is actually the daughter of the demon lord, Trigon, whom she utterly despises. She aided Ms. Martian, Superboy, and Beast Boy in their fight with Mr. Freeze and healing their wounds. Unfortunately, the dark nature of her abilities caused Superboy to become hostile toward her, which led her to leaving them and joining the Outlaws when Red X came up to her following the fight.
----
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: She's considered to be this to Zatanna, as she uses demonic magic, which is stated by Klarion to be superior to Zatanna's "baby magic". Klarion was also very hesitant to fight her when he saw that she was Trigon's daughter and even before that took her seriously during their battle, something he doesn't even do with Dr. Fate when he has a mystically inclined host.
* ApocalypseMaiden: She's intended by her father to be his gateway to the mortal realm, something that she really doesn't want to be.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Her magical abilities are derived from dark magic and her demonic heritage, in addition to her existence being intended for her father's evil machinations, but she nevertheless fights to help others.
* CastingAShadow: One of her more frequently used abilities is controlling and manipulating darkness. She typically does this through shadow-tendrils.
* ChildOfTwoWorlds: She was born on Earth and is half-human but grew up in the dimension of Azarath. Technically three worlds since she's half-demon, but she prefers not to think about that too much.
* DeadpanSnarker: She doesn't emote much, but her sense of sarcasm is overwhelming.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: She saves Superboy and his friends from Mr. Freeze. What's her thanks? She's treated with hostility by Superboy due to her dark abilities. Ms. Martian and Beast Boy call him out on this, but still.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: How she's perceived for her demonic inheritance. Her friends don't care.
* EmotionlessGirl: She gives off this impression, but she definitely feels more than she shows.
* EvilSoundsRaspy: Trope. She has a raspy voice that unnerves the people she talks to, but she's not evil and wants to help others.
* GameFace: When she gets serious, she dons a horrific nightmare face. It actually scared the pants off Klarion. KLARION.
* HalfHumanHybrid: She's half-human, half-demon.
* IHateYouVampireDad: She has shown nothing but scorn for her demonic father and all the grief that being his daughter has brought her.
* HumanoidAbomination: She's half-human and looks like your average creepy goth, but she's the daughter of an all-powerful demon lord and can take on a more disturbing and fitting form to match this heritage. She's even referred to as one of the seven deadly sins by Klarion.
* InTheHood: Frequently wears a dark hood at almost all times.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: She's highly skilled in the dark arts and can fight evenly against and scare Klarion.
* TheMedic: One of her abilities is healing magic, which she used to heal Beast Boy and Miss Martian after their fight with Mr. Freeze.
* MythologyGag: When she's felled in battle, Beast Boy immediately goes to fuss over her.
* SquishyWizard: She's physically the weakest of the Outlaws, but her overwhelming magical prowess makes her a match for the likes of Klarion.
* SuperpowerLottery: Much as she hates her heritage, it's given her a lot of benefits such as CastingAShadow, MindOverMatter, teleportation, BloodMagic, empathetic abilities, telepathy, HealingHands, and more.
* TheWorfEffect: Downplayed. She stalemates Klarion in a battle of dark magic, but the fact that the Witch Boy actually takes her seriously throughout the fight gives you an idea of how powerful she is.

!!Starfire (Princess Koriand'r / Kory Anders)
!!!Species: Tamaranian
->Abilities: super strength, super speed, invulnerability, flight, star bolts
The former princess of the planet Tamaran. She was exiled by her own sister and sold into slavery for the planet Apokolips as a means of brokering a peace to avoid war. She eventually found her way to Earth and is now one of Jason's closest allies.
----
* AdaptationalModesty: Her outfit covers more skin than it does in the comics, whereas her other counterparts typically have her midriff exposed, NavelDeepNeckline, or both at once.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's one of the nicest members of the Outlaws. Piss her off however and...well, hope you prefer your internal organs extra crispy. Just ask the Parademon corpses she went to town on. Oh, that's right, you can't.
* BloodSplatteredWarrior: Discussed. According to Red X, he found her fighting and covered in what appeared to be blood.
* CainAndAbel: She's the Abel to Blackfire's Cain, as her sister was the one who exiled her and made her a slave, while she wants to at least try to sort things out between them in a civil manner.
* CompositeCharacter: This version of Starfire has some elements of her cartoon and Comicbook/RedHoodAndTheOutlaws counterpart.
* FlyingFirepower: She can fly at extremely fast speeds, is incredibly strong, and can fire devastating blasts of energy called "star bolts".
* HandBlast: Her star bolts are typically fired from her hands and are powerful enough to easily melt Blue Beetle's armor.
* HeadTurningBeauty: The general reaction to her thanks to how drop dead gorgeous she is. Nightwing and Blue Beetle were particularly taken by her.
-->Blue Beetle (to the Scarab): Stop talking about my hormones!
* LeeroyJenkins: She prefers to rush in and fight her enemies head on. This is a trait common for her people since they have no notions for stealth or subterfuge.
* LethalChef: By Earth standards, her cooking is unbearable. It's telling that Arsenal, who absolutely despises Luthor more than anything, considers force feeding him her cooking to be too far. It would probably do better on Tamaran though.
* MadeASlave: She was sold into slavery by her own sister to ascend to the throne and prevent war with Apokolips.
* MsFanservice: Even with the AdaptationalModesty, Kori is still so gorgeous a supermodel would feel envious.
* NiceGal: Very much a sweet teammate to have.
* PowerOfTheSun: As Superman brings up, she absorbs the ultraviolet radiation of the sun to fuel her abilities.
* ProudWarriorRaceGirl: She's a proud and strong warrior. Because her planet's culture has the same mindset, she has issues understanding certain aspects of human nature such as keeping things secret as well as subterfuge.
* RoyalBlood: She's part of the Tamaranian royal line and is the princess of her home world.
* StrongAndSkilled: What makes her one of the most dangerous members of the Outlaws is that she has incredible superhuman strength and years of experience as a warrior of her home-world, as seen when she's training Titan how to fight.
* SuperStrength: She's one of the strongest members of the Outlaws, being able to effortlessly overpower Bane. She's likely the second strongest in terms of physical strength among the Outlaws, just slightly below Titan when he absorbs Nth Metal.
* SuperToughness: Her Tamaranian physiology makes her far more durable than one would expect.
* TokenNonHuman: Of all the Outlaws, she's the only one who isn't from Earth and isn't human in any way. Jason and Roy are human, Benji is a metahuman, and Rachel is half-human. Kori is Tamaranian.
* WarriorPrincess: She won't hesitate to take the fight to the Parademons.
* TheWorfEffect: She easily overpowers Bane when they fought and just as easily burns through Blue Beetle's armor, showing how much more powerful she is than them.

!!Titan (Benjamin "Benji" Tarski)
!!!Species: Metahuman
->Abilities: metal absorption, super strength, invulnerability
A metahuman who grew up in an Orthodox Jewish School. He was ostracized by his family and peers for both his metahuman abilities and his homosexuality. After a party at a pub in Jump City, he and Peter, Kori, Rachel, and Roy were jumped by a few frat boys, which forced Benjamin to use his powers to defend himself. After this, he joined the Outlaws.
----
* TheBigGuy: He's physically the biggest and strongest member thanks to his absorption of Nth metal.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: He's the strongest of the Outlaws in terms of physical might, but he's gentle and kindhearted whenever they aren't on a mission.
* ChromeChampion: He can absorb metals and can turn his body into said metal. He even learns how to do this with Thanagarian Nth metal.
* FlyingBrick: Subverted. The Outlaws confirm that he can now fly since he absorbed the Nth metal, but he has issues with heights and hates flying, so he doesn't use this ability.
* Gayngst: His sexual orientation caused him to suffer from a lot of negative stigma from his peers both in college and in the Jewish community he grew up in. Subverted in that he doesn't angst over it much and accepts it as who he is.
* GentleGiant: Don't let his power fool you, he's quite shy and dorky when you get to know him.
* InformedAbility: He can supposedly fly thanks to absorbing Nth Metal, but he never displays this ability due to him being uncomfortable with the substance and his dislike for heights.
* TheKlutz: He tends to be rather clumsy. He accidentally spilled his soda on Rachel's old manuscripts. She was not happy.
* MightyGlacier: He can move if he needs to, but he's mostly a slow klutz that hits like a tank. He even admits that he's not very fast and is just pure power.
* MythologyGag: When you think about his code-name, it's rather funny since he's Titan and in the comicbook, Jason, Raven and Starfire had a stint on the Teen Titans team.
* NeverAcceptedInHisHometown: After becoming Titan, one of Jump City's beloved heroes, he tries to mend things with his family. They're ultimately unable to stomach his sexual orientation, and both parties sadly conclude it would be best to cut ties.
* NiceJewishBoy: Rather less outwardly edgy than his teammates, and his family follow the Orthodox Jewish tradition.
* OriginalCharacter: He was never in any DC Media and was created specifically for the story.
* PrimalFear: He's afraid of heights, which is why he doesn't use his Nth metal's anti-gravity abilities for flight.
* StraightGay: He doesn't display any stereotypes and readers wouldn't know he's gay if his POV chapter didn't outright tell them so.
* SuperStrength: Befitting of a walking 6 foot 9 metal giant, he's ridiculously strong. At first, he doesn't hold a candle to Starfire, but once he learned how to use Nth metal, he became strong enough to effortlessly overpower Superboy.
* SuperToughness: Comes with being a giant metal man that can tank hits from Superboy without issue.
* TookALevelInBadass: After absorbing Nth metal and training with Starfire, he becomes far more capable in combat, being able to easily overwhelm Superboy in strength.
* TwoferTokenMinority: A gay Jewish metahuman.
* UnskilledButStrong: He doesn't have much in the way of combat experience and skill, even admitting that he's only really good for laying the smack-down on opponents, but he's the team's powerhouse.

!!The Justice League / The Team

* BlackAndWhiteMorality: Unfortunately quite frequent in their ranks -- either you follow the rules and you're a hero, or you don't and you're scum of the earth. Very few - such as Tim Drake - come to see the world in shades of grey.
* BrokenPedestal: Toward the Outlaws, some of whom used to look up to them greatly.
** Green Arrow is this to the original Roy for obvious reasons.
** Red X toward Batman, it's not too hard to see why given the crusader's failings as Jason's mentor and adoptive father.
** Rachel attempted to help Superboy with Mr. Freeze and was met with distrust despite being completely successful.
** Benji apparently stopped looking up to them before he joined the Outlaws, stating that he always thought they were "too perfect".
* HeroAntagonist: They are the heroes of the world, but they are opposing the Outlaws, who are the main protagonists and are an AntiHeroTeam.
* InspectorJavert: They are hell-bent on catching the Outlaws, especially Batman. A more sympathetic portrayal than usual since the Outlaws are not squeaky clean and have information the League really could use to save the planet.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: They have no idea that Darkseid is preparing an assault against Earth, and the Outlaws really don't care about informing them.

!!Nightwing / Robin I (Richard "Dick" Grayson)
!!!Species: Human
->Abilities: acrobatics, hacking, peak physical abilities, gadgets
The original Robin and the first adopted son of Batman. He was one of the founding members of the Black-Ops team designed to infiltrate and dispatch threats that the Justice League was unable to immediately deal with. He eventually became the leader of this group as Nightwing, but left the team following Wally's death.
----
* AloofOlderBrother: He was this toward Jason, often being too caught up in his work to give him the time of day. He came to regret this years later following Jason's death.
* BadassNormal: Not having any powers doesn't impede his ability to fight alongside and defeat superpowered beings.
* DistractedByTheSexy: When Starfire revealed herself to the Team, his brain skipped the threat evaluation stage to briefly go "hey, gorgeous, wanna party?". He's extremely embarrassed over it.
* HopeSpot: When Red X is
* TheLeader: He leads the Black-Ops team.
* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: When he finds Red X about to , he beseeches the thief to not lower himself at the same level than a murderer.

!!Superboy (Conner Kent / Kon-El)
!!!Species: Cloned Kryptonian/Human Hybrid
->Abilities: super strength, super hearing, invulnerability, infrared vision
A clone of Superman created by Cadmus to replace him. He was freed by Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Robin when they infiltrated the facility. He became a founding member of the Black-Ops team, often serving as the muscle of the group.
----
* TheBigGuy: The strongest of the team, so he fills this roll out.
* CloneAngst: Generally averted since he's well past that part of his life, but his nature as a clone does not endear him to Supergirl.
* FantasticRacism: On the receiving end of this from Supergirl, due to being a clone.
* HairTriggerTemper: He tends to get angry very easily, even though he's been working on it for a while now.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Half-human, Half-Kryptonian.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: His mistrust cost the League a powerful magic-user, since Rachel was recruited by Red X when he saw she felt hurt over Superboy's rejection of her help.
* PowerOfTheSun: As a Kryptonian, his power is derived from absorbing solar energy.
* SuperStrength: Obviously, since he's a clone of Superman, though he isn't as strong as him due to being half-Kryptonian.
* SuperToughness: As a clone of Superman, it takes a lot to actually hurt him, let alone damage him.
* TheWorfEffect: He gets his ass handed to him by Titan to show how strong the guy became after absorbing Nth metal.

!!Miss Martian (M'gann M'orzz / Megan Morse)
!!!Species: White Martian
->Abilities: flight, shapeshifting, telekinesis, telepathy, density shifting
A White Martian and the niece of Martian Manhunter. She serves as the Black-Ops team's telepath, allowing them to communicate without drawing attention of radio or frequency scanners.
----
* Telepathy: She serves as this for the team, allowing them to communicate mentally.
* UnresolvedSexualTension: Downplayed. After she broke up with Lagoon Boy, they don't fight, but things get so awkward between them that they do everything they can to avoid each other like the plague.
* WhatTheHellHero: She calls Superboy out on his blatant distrust and aggressive attitude toward Rachel when she saved them from Mr. Freeze.

!!Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm)
!!!Species: Atlantian/Human Hybrid
->Abilities: underwater survival, super strength, hydrokinesis, enhanced durability
The former protégé of Aquaman and the son of Black Manta. He was the original leader of the team before he passed the role on to Nightwing.
----
* TheLeader: Formerly. He has since passed that role on to Nightwing.
* MakingASplash: What most of his powers revolve around.
* TheStoic: He doesn't let his feelings out very often and is relatively calm and collected in multiple situations.

!!Robin III (Timothy "Tim" Jackson Drake)
!!! Species: Human
->Abilities: peak athletic abilities, gadgets, martial arts, detective skills
The third Robin, who earned the cape by virtue of forcing Batman to bring him in following the untimely demise of his predecessor, Jason Todd. His approach to life and crime is quite divergent from his friends', being much more open and less rigid.
----
* BadassInDistress: Joker captures him to reenact Jason's death.
* ChickMagnet: Has a girlfriend in Wonder Girl and Rose Worth blatantly and shamelessly flirts with him.
* GreyAndGrayMorality: His viewpoint on the Outlaws is more nuanced than the Team's, since he took care to learn the public opinion and the context for their acts.
* HeroWorshipper: Towards his immediate predecessor, which means he's extremely excited to find clues pointing Jason is currently alive as Red X.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: He's very insecure and thinks he will never fill Jason's shoes.
* LegacyCharacter: The third Robin after Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.
* SkilledButNaive: He's a great fighter and detective, but he's also rather green compared to his predecessors and is prone to making mistakes, which Red X, Catwoman, and Arsenal don't hesitate to mock him for.
* SuperiorSuccessor: Jason bitterly acknowledges Tim is everything Batman wants from Robin.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Talia would have given Jason back to Bruce, she actually went to Gotham with him in spite of her father's commands... then Jason saw a picture of the new Robin, lost the last shred of his trust in Batman and asked Talia to take him back to the Shadows.

!!Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark)
!!!Species: Human/Olympian Hybrid
->Abilities: enhanced durability, super strength, flight, lasso skills
The current protégé of Wonder Woman and the daughter of Zeus.
----
* ClingyJealousGirl: She hates to see Rose putting the moves on Tim.
* SemiDivine: She's half-Olympian, and the daughter of Zeus for good measure.
* SuperStrength: Due to being part-Olympian.
* SuperToughness: Not exactly bullet proof without her bracelets, but she can take a wallop.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Her jealousy of Rose due to her pining after Robin leads to her doing some pretty nasty things. Case in point, she forced Robin to choose between her or Rose after learning that she's Deathstroke's daughter, while they were in the middle of a fight with the Lord of Chaos!

!!Beast Boy (Garfield "Gar" Logan)
!!!Species: Enhanced Human (part martian via blood transfusion)
->Abilities: shapeshifting (restricted to animals)
The younger adoptive brother of Miss Martian.
----
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Forget SecretIdentity for him - he's green no matter his shape.
* Animorphism: His powers allow him to shape-shift into animals, all of which are the color green like he is.
* GreyAndGrayMorality: As he said to Tim, good people sometimes do bad things, and they aren't bad for it but merely human. So why bad people aren't allowed to do good things?
* NiceGuy: When Raven - technically a criminal - is knocked out by Klarion, he immediately flees to help her.
* ShipTease: He gets some with Raven, despite the two being on opposing sides.

!!Kid Flash II / Impulse (Bartholomew "Bart" Allen)
!!!Species: Metahuman
->Abilities: super speed
The current Kid Flash. Originally a time traveler who went be the name of Impulse, he is the grandson of Barry Allen, also known as the Flash. He traveled back in time to stop a race of conquerors called "The Reach" from taking over the world. He took up the mantle of Kid Flash following the death of Wally West.
----
* FragileSpeedster: He can't take much direct damage as seen when Raven rag-dolled him, but good luck actually hitting him though.
* HeroicBSOD: Went into shock when Raven used a spell on him that briefly took away his speed.
* LegacyCharacter: He's the second to bear the title of "Kid Flash", the first being the deceased Wally West.
* SuperSpeed: He's a Flash, so this is a no-brainer.

!!Ravager (Rose Worth / Rose Wilson)
!!!Species: Human
A new recruit to the Team. She was originally recruited following the death of her mother during a skirmish with The Penguin, who was trying to gain a priceless artifact that her mother had in her possession. While a skilled combatant, she is also reckless, aggressive, and crude.
----
* ActionGirl: She's one of the team's best fighters, being on par with the likes of Batgirl and Robin. Not too shocking considering who daddy is.
* AwfulTruth: Her affiliation on the dad-side left her reeling.
* BadassNormal: Just a very skilled fighter that can tangle with superhuman threats.
* BerserkButton: Don't bring up her father if you know what's good for you.
* DualWielding: Uses two swords in combat.
* HiddenDepths: She's an aggressive ArrogantKungFuGuy, but she's remarkably perceptive. Even before knowing about Red X, she was able to tell that he was playing a game with the Batfamily specifically and that he clearly knows everything about them. This was something that not even Robin or the rest of the team could pick up on.
* InTheBlood: Quite violent and skilled with weapons. Also, she shows some interest in Robin. Looks like she takes after her daddy in spite of him being utterly absent from her life.
* LadySwearsALot: Unbelievably crass with her allies and has quiet the filthy mouth. The least of it is her calling Barbara Gordon "Batshit".
* LukeIAmYourFather: Done by proxy when Klarion reveals in front of the whole Team she's Deathstroke's daughter.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: She completely abandons the Team after Cassie accuses her of being the mole and Robin didn't vouch for for her innocence.
* TheTease: She openly and aggressively flirts with Robin.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Downplayed. She's rude, aggressive, foul-mouthed, and bitter, but she is genuinely on the side of good... well she was, until Klarion exposed her heritage to the Team and Wonder Girl caused a scene that made her quit.

!!Supergirl (Kara Kent / Kara Zor-El)
!!!Species: Kryptonian
The "older" cousin of Superman and one of the last survivors of the planet Krypton.
----
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Downplayed and inverted. She's not really bratty, but she is very brash and headstrong, which causes problems for the Team and the League. Her hatred for Superboy due to his origins only furthers this and while Superman has been trying to help them get along, she feels that as his older cousin, she doesn't have to listen to him if she doesn't want to.
* CompositeCharacter: She has the look of her Post-Crisis counterpart, but her personality (especially her attitude towards clones) is rooted in her New 52 counterpart.
* FantasticRacism: She despises Superboy on the grounds that he's a clone - an abomination to Kryptonian law.
* FlyingBrick: Being a full-blooded Kryptonian gives her the complete package of abilities.
* FreudianExcuse: She recently learned that her entire planet was destroyed, her cousin has lived a whole life without her, she's one of the only survivors of her race, and people are expecting and/or forcing her to try and get along with someone who by her peoples' culture and laws is considered an abomination.
* JerkassToOne: Most of her dickish attitude comes up whenever Superboy is around. She's pretty nice outside of that.
* OlderThanTheyLook: She was stuck in stasis as Superman grew up, so she's his older cousin despite being a teenager both physically and mentally.
* ThereIsAnother: So, Superman isn't the last survivor of Krypton, yay for him. Others (namely Superboy) are less enthused.

!!Batman (Bruce Wayne)
!!!Species: Human
The caped crusader and the defender of Gotham City. He is the adoptive father of Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.
----
* ActionDad: A caped crusader who's not afraid to dirty his hands and adopted two boys (and unknowingly sired a third).
* DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou:
** With Jason, he honestly thought he was dead and mourned his death. To be fair, he legitimately was until he was brought to the Lazarus pit for revival.
** With Damian, he has no idea the kid even exists since he's being raised by Talia and his birth was completely unknown to him.
* HeartbrokenBadass: Even years afterwards, he still mourns Jason.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Just like in the main-line comics, this is why Batman refuses to kill the Joker. If he does so, he fears that he'll become something much worse.
* ItsAllMyFault: He puts up a stern facade, but beneath it, he is riddled with guilt and self-loathing for failing to save Jason and his inability to bring himself to kill the Joker.
* TraumaCongaLine: He has to endure a social worker openly doubting his suitability as a parent, almost lost another Robin to his ArchEnemy
* WrongNameOutburst: He struggled to stop calling Tim "Jason" when the boy gained the Robin mantle. He's better now, but still slips up when stressed by Tim's stubbornness.

!!The Light

!!Talia al Ghul / The Demon's Head
!!!Species: Human
The current head of the League of Assassins and the [=CEO=] of Lex Corp. Beautiful and utterly deadly, her immortal father Ra's considered her the perfect follower. It appears she wants to become more of a leader, lately, having taken over her father's position in both the League of Assassins and as a member of the Light following his permanent death.
----
* ActionMom: She's in Batman's league when it comes to combat and is the mother of Red X and Damian.
* BadassNormal: Has no powers, but is skilled enough to easily defeat the likes of Batgirl and Rose, both of whom can go head-to-head with superhuman opponents.
* TheCorrupter: Definitely this for Jason and Damian, whose violent tendencies she enables and encourages. Even worse, she really thinks it's a good thing to do.
* DragonAscendant: Sometimes, it's good to have your daddy as a boss, because you inherit his stuff when he dies. Also applies to Lex Corp, which she is now the head of since Lex is now president of the United States.
* GoodParents: For all her screwed up ideas about education, she's pretty nice to both her sons, adopted and biological.
* LegacyCharacter: Her father ruled the League of Shadows as the Demon's Head for centuries. Now that he definitely kicked the can, she took the title and the organization for herself.
* LovingAShadow: She muses to herself on whether she genuinely loves Bruce for who he is, or the man she wishes he could be.
* MamaBear: She's not happy at all when Ravager and Batgirl insulted Red X, and harshly tells them her son won't be disparaged in front of her.
* ManipulativeBitch: She's able to pass herself as a content "follower" to Lex Luthor (the man himself is a genius, don't forget) and managed to tick Ravager off by mentioning how she looked like her father.
* TheMentor: Besides being their mother, she also tutored Jason and Damian in combat and fostered their current mindsets.
* PragmaticVillainy: She's totally aware that Darkseid is too much of an AxeCrazy galactic conqueror to be trusted and would rather keep him away from Earth, thank you.
* StayInTheKitchen: Her father thought she ought to be obedient and nothing more. She defies it nowadays.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Among the Light's high command, she's the only one who fully realizes how foolish an alliance with Darkseid would be and is shown to be a genuinely loving parent.

!!Alexander "Lex" Luthor
!!!Species: Human
Superman's traditional ArchEnemy and the current president of the United States.
----
* BaldOfEvil: It's Lex. He's a chrome dome without a shred of hair on his head.
* FantasticRacism: Towards all meta-humans and extraterrestrials. He has cages specifically designed to contain them, whose existence is kept secret so not to ruin his presidential ambitions.
* NonActionGuy: He never engages in combat personally.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: A mite condescending and paternalistic when interacting with Talia.
* PresidentEvil: Lex, one of the core members of The Light, is elected President of the United States.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: But of course. His presidential election was practically unanimous and he ran as an independent party.

!!Klarion
!!!Species: Chaos demon
The Lord of Chaos and the Light's primary magic user. He is a chaos demon of similar rank to Trigon the Terrible.
----
* AllWitchesHaveCats: Teekl, who also serves as his anchor to the physical plane.
* DidIJustSayThatOutLoud: How he drops the bombshell about Rose's parentage in front of the Team - was it supposed to be a secret? Whoopsie!
* HumanoidAbomination: He may look human, but he is most certainly not. He's really a powerful chaos demon.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He didn't try to play with Raven when fighting her and freaked out when she revealed her parentage. It says everything you need to know about Trigon if the resident HumanoidAbomination is that afraid after meeting his daughter.
* PsychopathicManchild: He's an ancient lord of chaos, yet he has the personality of a deranged brat who thrives off murder and destruction.
* TokenNonHuman: All other members of the Light either are human or were human but are now modified in some way. Klarion is a chaos demon and was never human to begin with.
* Troll: His reason for revealing who Rose's father is was either to sew discord in the team or for his amusement. Considering his personality, it's probably the latter.
* UnskilledButStrong: As a multi-millennia old demon and lord of chaos, he just prefers overpowering the opposition rather than rely on skill. It's also noted that he's more of a schemer than a fighter.

!!Vandal Savage
!!!Species: Human (immortal)
An immortal human from the stone age and the leader of the Light.
----
* TheLeader: He's the leader of The Light.
* SocialDarwinist: His mindset is "survival of the fittest", which translates to causing mass devastation and hysteria to force humanity to evolve. This is a contributing factor in why he despises the Justice League, as they protect humanity and hold it back from it's evolution in his eyes.
* TimeAbyss: He's from the Stone Age and has been around for several untold millennia.

!!Unaffiliated Villains

!!Catwoman (Selina Kyle)
!!!Species: Human
A thief and a longtime adversary of the Batfamily.
----
* AnimalMotif: Cats. It's in the name after all.
* DistaffCounterpart: An amoral thief with connections to the Batclan? It's possible Red X actually modeled himself after her. It helps that she actually mentored him in thievery.
* FriendlyEnemy: She helps the Batfamily every now and then, though she's still one of their enemies.
* TheMentor: She taught Red X a thing or two on stealing.

!!Joker
!!!Species: Human
The Clown Prince of Crime. He was responsible for Jason Todd's death years ago.
----
* AssholeVictim: You can practically hear the readers .
* AxeCrazy: The Clown Prince of Crime and sanity are not on speaking terms.
* TheBadGuyWins: In the end, .
* BerserkButton: Messing with his "jokes". He got particularly pissed at Red X for getting involved and messing with his fun.
* ColdBloodedTorture: He inflicted this on Jason Todd years ago.
* DomesticAbuse: He outright calls Harley a "stupid girl" and doesn't seem to care about the fact that Red X cut off her hands. He's more focused on Red X ruining his fun if anything else.
* EvilLaugh: It's the Joker. This is practically one of his most defining traits. It goes right into .
* JokerImmunity: Averted. .
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: After years of being one of the absolute worst monsters on Earth and getting away with it, his luck
* NeckSnap: This is how .

!!Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel)
!!!Species: Human
The Joker's second-in-command who aided in the torture and death of Jason Todd years ago.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: In the original comic, Joker brutally murdered Jason on his own. Here, she was a willing participant.
* AnArmAndALeg: Red X cut her hands as revenge.
* WouldHurtAChild: She helped the Joker in torturing and killing the young Jason Todd years ago.

!!Bane
!!!Species: Human
A villain who uses "Venom" to increase his physical capabilities.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: In the show, he was able to get past his Venom addiction and became a much better fighter to the point where Batman and his team were forced to retreat. Here, he's still addicted and his only presence is getting his ass kicked by Starfire.
* BitCharacter: See the below? He pretty much only exists in the story to establish how strong Starfire is.
* TheWorfEffect: Starfire effortlessly rag-dolled him.

!!Trigon
!!!Species: Inter-dimensional Demon
An immensely powerful Demon Lord and the father of Rachel.
----
* AlwaysABiggerFish: This fish is so big that Klarion - member of the Light and a Lord of Chaos - is terrified when he understands he's fighting with his half-human daughter.
* CardCarryingVillain: He's advertised as Trigon the Terrible and is referred to as a demon of "evil". He's aware he's a monster and practically flaunts it.
* TheDreaded: The thought of facing his offspring is enough to scare Klarion. The big guy himself has this reputation in spades.
* EvilOverlord: He's an other-dimensional demon and is considered a "demon of evil".
* ObviouslyEvil: He's an ancient demon named Trigon the Terrible, his children are called the "seven deadly sins", and he's considered a "demon of evil".

!!Darkseid
!!!Species: New God
The God of Tyranny and the dictator of the planet Apokolips.
----
* TheDreaded: Talia is deeply afraid of him, and it's implied that the rest of the Light are in the same ballpark.
* EvilOverlord: A malevolent alien god who rules the planet of Apokolips and seeks absolute dominion over all others. He's also plotting to conquer Earth with the aid of the Light.
* GreaterScopeVillain: While the Light functions as the main antagonistic force to the League and Outlaws, Darkseid is by far the greater threat that also aids the Light behind the scenes and is plotting to conquer the Earth by using them.
* ObviouslyEvil: His name is literally Darkseid! This doesn't account for the fact that he's a conquering warlord who rules a planet called Apokolips. Need we say more?
* PhysicalGod: He's a New God, so he's this by default.

!!Others

!!Margret Stanson
A former resident of Gotham who has quite the chip on her shoulder about Batman.
----
* BerserkButton: Cops and the Batman, whom she despises and considers worse than useless for failing her baby sister when she needed their help.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: A jackass raped and harassed her sister, Gloria, until she killed herself, and neither the police nor the Batman could do something to bring him to justice because the scum had diplomatic immunity. Her only ray of light came from Robin who genuinely did his best to help Gloria and might have avenged her by shoving the rapist off the balcony, but he quickly disappeared after that.
* IntrepidReporter: She investigated a string of crimes by herself, and promotes the Outlaws on her blog.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Really lays on Batman when he comes fishing for information on Red X, railing into him for his failure to save Jason and her sister.
* SecretKeeper: She quickly figures out that Red X is the new persona for Gloria's Robin, and she has no intention of letting anyone, let alone Batman, figure that out.
* SmoochOfVictory: She gives Red X a kiss on his head as a thank you for saving her and helping her sister when no one else would.

!!Damian
The bastard son of Batman and Talia al Ghul. He is trained by his mother in the ways of the assassin and greatly looks up to his adoptive elder brother, Jason Todd.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: He's much nicer than his comic counterpart in large part due to Jason's influence on him growing up.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Downplayed. He clearly adores his older brother, but he also likes to annoy him from time to time.
* BadassAdorable: He's an adorable kid and the younger brother of Jason, but he's also a skilled assassin who's better than most of his teachers.
* BastardBastard: Played with. He's a bastard in the sense that he was born out of wedlock, but he's actually a rather loving younger brother. He's just not a nice person nor is he one of the heroes, so he doesn't really qualify for the HeroicBastard position.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Inverted. He destroyed Jason's clone because his grandfather intended to discard Jason right after the copy would have been fully grown.
* BigBrotherWorship: Plain and obvious. Jason does his best to be a CoolBigBro and it seems it payed off.
* CreepyChild: Gleefully announces to Jason that he gained free time in the afternoon by murdering his tutor for being boring. Even worse, Talia enables his behavior and Jason doesn't mind it.
* SatelliteCharacter: He's mainly defined by his relationships with Jason and Talia.
