!Heroes of the Six Flowers

[[folder:The Heroes in General]]
* AntiHeroTeam: They are all morally ambiguous at best. It's telling that Adlet is one of the MOST heroic of the lot, given his behavior and personality.
* BadassCrew: You have to be among the strongest in the world to be chosen as a Hero of the Six Flowers.
* BirthmarkOfDestiny: The Crest of Six Flowers, which appears somewhere on the body of a Brave when they're chosen to become one. As a result, they all have one. [[spoiler: Adlet's and Nashetania's both turn out to be fake, though Adlet doesn't know that he's a fake until it's too late.]]
* DysfunctionJunction: ''Hoo boy''. They're messed up, as individuals ''and'' as a group.
* TheChosenMany: The six heroes chosen by the Goddess of Fate to defeat the Majin.
* FireForgedFriends: They gradually become more united overtime despite the existence of the Seventh.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Due to paranoia, the Heroes pay close attention to the changes of behaviors within the group.
* ProperlyParanoid: Since they have to find who is a traitor and who is genuine...
* WasItAllALie: Averted big time, usually in anime when someone is revealed to be a traitor the main hero often goes out of his or her way to try and get back the traitor to the side of good. However the Heroes of Six Flowers do not want any of that and immediately attempt to kill the traitor [[spoiler:Nashetania]] without questions or hesitation when the traitor's identity is revealed. Each of the Six Heroes remember the importance of their mission in that they cannot tolerate traitors or else they will fail.

[[quoteright:254:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/adlet12.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/SomaSaito, Creator/MiyukiSawashiro (as a child) (Japanese), Creator/RobbieDaymond (English), Creator/IrwinDaayan (Mexican Spanish)

The main protagonist. He is the self-proclaimed world's strongest man. He has an abnormally strong will, never giving up even in the dire situations, as well as a strong sense of camaraderie and friendship. He fights using tools and trickery to catch his opponent off-guard.
-----
* AffectionateNickname: Ad-kun by Rolonia.
* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: He makes clear he considers protecting Fremy his top priority. [[spoiler:And he's willing to turn against his companions and the world to protect her.]]
* AmateurSleuth: In the first arc, Adlet must find the fake Brave through his investigation and deductions.
* BadassBoast: His CatchPhrase.
* BadassNormal: An average man, but capabable of holding his own against Kyouma, Saints, and assassins.
* BashBrothers: With Hans.
* {{Brainwashed}}: [[spoiler:Turns out Adlet has been brainwashed for years- since ''before'' he met and trained under Atro. When he was a child, Tgurneu brainwashed him to give him his current personality and make him fall in love with Fremy so Tgurneu could use him as a pawn in his plan to kill the Braves.]]
* CatchPhrase: "I am the world's strongest man" and some variations.
* CassandraTruth: Since we see him gain the Crest of the Six Flowers, his claim that he isn't the traitor falls squarely here. [[spoiler:Subverted. It turns out Adlet really ''is'' a fake, but unaware of it himself.]]
* CombatPragmatist: Being a normal human with no magic skills, Adlet relies on any weapon he can use ranging from his sword, to even spikes hidden in his sword.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Red hair and eyes.
* DeclarationOfProtection: He promises Fremy he will protect her from anything.
* TheDefroster: Fremy intended to stay distant from the other Braves, but Adlet's friendliness and honest nature cause Fremy to open up to him and start trusting him even though she tried not to.
* {{Determinator}}: THE reason why he is the only one who completed Atro's training, all the others ran away. After being accused of being the 7th Brave he refuses to give up and eventually proves his innocence.
* DevotedToYou: Adlet becomes unconditionally devoted to Fremy the moment they meet. [[spoiler:This turns out to be an effect of Tgurneu's brainwashing.]]
* TheDulcineaEffect: Just shortly after meeting her, Adlet just can't help but want to protect Fremy from anything. [[spoiler:This was actually caused by Tgurneu's brainwashing.]]
* ExperiencedProtagonist: The story starts when he has completed his training and is an accomplished warrior.
* FieryRedhead: He's a loud and hotheaded guy with red hair.
* {{Forgiveness}}: He holds no grudge against other heroes for trying to kill him.
* GuileHero: Adlet is the very definition of a guile hero, not only does he rely on tricks and traps to fight, he has an incredible amount of investigative tools, and the brains to use them both wisely.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: He has this dynamic with Fremy. He's a swordfighter and she's a gunner.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks: In a direct fight, he's the weakest member of the group. He isn't a natural genius like Hans, nor does he have any magical powers. Knowing this himself, he instead takes this into account and uses trickery, misdirection and gear.
* TheHero: The main character of the story and after making it clear he's the only Brave that isn't possibly a traitor, the group all agrees to follow him.
* HiddenWeapons: He's covered with hidden pockets and items, leaving him with hidden explosives, blades, special anti Kyoma weaponry and even a trick spring inside his sword to give him a one time projectile.
* HotBlooded: He's very passionate and hotheaded.
* IdiotHero: Played with. Adlet is actually pretty smart in battle, but he's still brash, impulsive and overly-trusting which makes him come off as an idiot and makes others label him a moron.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: He comes off as overconfident, always proclaiming himself as the world's strongest man. Actually, Adlet is well aware of his weaknesses and he tries to convince himself he's the strongest to give himself courage even in the most desperate situations.
* InterspeciesRomance: With Fremy. He's a human, she's half Kyoma.
* TheLeader: After a second Seventh appears, he takes command under the reasoning that he's the only one they can be sure isn't a traitor. His authority is later undermined when the second fake is revealed to be unrelated to the first, so Hans steps up to be his second and has veto power over his decisions.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: To Fremy. He is her only reason to live once she gets close to him.
* MadeOfIron: Lampshaded. He can take hits well and recovers quickly compared to most of the Heroes thanks to his training.
* MagneticHero: Although he's initially the prime suspect of a fake Brave, Adlet's charismatic and genuine character wins him the trust of the other Braves.
* ManchurianAgent: [[spoiler:Adlet is the second {{Mole}}, unaware of it himself. When he was a child, Tgurneu brainwashed him into falling madly in love with Fremy the moment he met her so he would protect her until Fremy could fulfill her role in his plans.]]
* MiseryBuildsCharacter: His mentor would beat Adlet horribly and starve him to instill in him the idea to always laugh and smile, even when times are at their worst.
* MyNameIsInigoMontoya: Announces his name before fighting during the Piena tournament.
* OneHeadTaller: He tops Fremy by a head.
* TheOnlyOneITrust: He becomes the only one among the Heroes Fremy completely trusts, as much as Fremy herself hates it.
* OppositesAttract: With Fremy. Adlet is extremely passionate and talkative whereas she's aloof and quiet.
* PerpetualSmiler: His teacher taught him to keep smiling no matter what.
* PragmaticHero: While a good person otherwise, he's more than willing to resort to dirty tricks for his goals.
* PoisonedWeapons: Can coat his darts with poison.
* RedOniBlueOni:
** The passionate Red Oni to Fremy's cold Blue Oni.
** He can also be considered as the red to Hans's blue.
* RenaissanceMan: Adlet has a vast scientific knowledge regarding many fields, is extremely smart and a good strategist.
* {{Revenge}}: Adlet wants to kill Tgurneu for everything he did to his village.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Adlet is thought of as a headstrong braggart at times, but underneath lies a cunning and analytical mind that proves why he is a Brave.
* SociopathicHero: Adlet tried to turn himself into this at first, believing that throwing away his human heart was the only way to take his revenge. Atro taught him otherwise. [[spoiler:However, it was actually Tgurneu's brainwashing that planted the seed for a large part of his current personality. Once it wears off and he finds out that Fremy killed his sister, he reverts back to this.]]
* TheSoCalledCoward: For being an effective, and skilled, CombatPragmatist many of the other Braves call him "cowardly." He has often shown himself to be anything but.
* StepfordSmiler: He was taught to laugh when things were at their worst to maintain a positive attitude. It isn't always genuine, but the effort keeps him from getting too obsessed or angry.
* SurvivalMantra: Whenever he feels anxious, he loudly declares himself to be the world's strongest man.
* TheTeamNormal: Unlike his teammates, Adlet doesn't host a god, he wasn't born with unusual size and strength and he isn't an assassin with a FantasticFightingStyle. He is just an average man with many weapons and a smart mind.
* TomatoInTheMirror: [[spoiler: As it turns out, Adlet ''isn't'' a real Brave like he thought he was, and his personality had been fabricated whole cloth by Tgurneu. He had brainwashed him from an early age to fall in love with Fremy so he could further his own plans.]]
* TrainingFromHell: To merely call Atro a strict mentor would be something of an understatement. See MiseryBuildsCharacter above for more details. Adlet is notable for being the ''only person'' to have completed Atro's rigorous training regimen.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: People make the mistake of underestimating him because of his fighting style.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:Adlet is the unknowing second traitor and was manipulated by Tgurneu to fall in love with Fremy as part of his plans.]]
* WalkingArmory: Adlet carries several types of weapons on him. Where to start, Adlet has:
** ChainPain: A manacle linked to a long chain.
** CoolSword: A sword.
** BlowGun: To shoot his darts.
** FireBreathingWeapon: Has a flint in his mouth, he uses it to spit fire.
** ImprobableWeaponUser: [[spoiler: The Nail of the Saints, an anti-Kyoma weapon.]]
** ThrowDownTheBomblet: Explosives and smoke bombs.
* WorldsStrongestMan: [[CatchPhrase Invoked]] but averted. In terms of pure fighting skills he's the weakest Hero, but he's the best at surviving, improvising and tactics, which leaves him as one of the most ''dangerous'' of the group.
* WorthyOpponent: Hans considers him the most dangerous of the heroes. He isn't a talented fighter and has no divine magical abilities, but is well trained, very cunning, carries an arsenal, has a wide range of skills and incredible resilience.
* YouKilledMyFather: One reason why Adlet wants revenge of Tgurneu is the death of his sister. [[spoiler: It later turns out that it was actually Fremy that killed Adlet's sister, though the circumstances of it aren't known. Once Tgurneu is killed, Adlet directs his hatred toward Fremy.]]

A mysterious sniper and the Saint of Gunpowder. She is the Six Flower Killer, who assassinated potential future heroes of the Six Flowers. Her powers allow her to create bullets and gunpowder at will, essentially granting her unlimited ammo.
-----
* ActionGirl: She's a gunwoman skilled enough to be chosen as a hero.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Adlet slowly gains her complete trust because he was the first person to be nice to her after she was betrayed by the Kyoma, he didn't treat her any differently even after finding out her past as the Six Flower Killer and her nature as a half Kyoma and he proves Fremy that she be sure that his desire to protect her is real.
* BeyondTheImpossible: She's capable of aiming with an eye that is covered by an eyepatch.
* BrokenAngel: She cut off her own horn after she was betrayed by her Kyoma family.
* BrokenBird: After being betrayed by those she considered her family and friends, Fremy is cold, cynical and refuses to trust others.
* ByronicHeroine: Fremy was raised as a killer to eliminate as many potential heroes as possible and her Kyoma family tried to dispose of her after [[YouHaveFailedMe she failed a mission]]. Desiring revenge against the Kyoma, she sets out to kill the Majin and is chosen as a hero. The trauma of her past causes her to distance herself from people out of fear of being hurt again and originally didn't even want to fight alongside the other heroes, preferring to accomplish her goal on her own.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Shows shades of this, as she's clearly not happy when she sees Adlet getting along with his old friend Rolonia.
* ColdSniper: Has a cold attitude and is ready to shoot anyone acting suspicious.
* CuteLittleFangs: The manga occasionally draws her with her fang sticking out, possibly because she's half-Kyoma. It looks cute in her.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Fremy was birthed and raised by Kyoma only to be used as a tool to kill potential heroes. After she failed a mission, her Kyoma family tried to kill her. Feeling betrayed, she gained the strong resolution of killing the Majin, and finally received one of the heroes of six flower's mark.
* DeathGlare: She specializes in this.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She warms up to Adlet and the other Heroes over the course of the story.
* DisappearedDad: She never knew her human father.
* DualityMotif: She's a HalfHumanHybrid with heterochromia.
* EmotionlessGirl: She rarely shows any emotion and speaks in a deadpan voice.
* EtTuBrute: She was birthed by the Kyoma to be used as a weapon and when she failed, she was cast aside. Rather than resenting them for having discarded her, she was more hurt by how they acted like they cared about her and made her feel she was one of them only to reveal it was all a lie to manipulate her.
* EveryScarHasAStory: She has a large scar on her forehead. She got it when she ripped off her own horn after her Kyoma family betrayed her.
* FashionableAsymmetry: She wears one fingerless glove in her right hand and one normal elbow-length one in her left hand.
* GunsAreWorthless: The one aversion in their world. Guns were only recently invented and see minimal use due to low firepower. Judging by the description of her gun, its abilities and how other guns in the world work, it seems likely that she simply uses a rifle while everyone else uses front loaded muskets.
* TheGunslinger: Goes with being the Saint of Gunpowder. In this world, guns aren't powerful enough to injure a Kyoma, but in Fremy's case, she can easily kill most of the kyouma as well as most armored humans in one single shot.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: She has this dynamic with Adlet. She's a gunner and he's a swordfighter.
* HalfBreedAngst: She believes there's no place in the world for a half-Kyoma like herself since she has been rejected by both Kyoma and humans.
* HalfHumanHybrid: She's the daughter of Kyoma mother and a human father.
* HavingABlast: Her power allows her to create explosives.
* HeroesLoveDogs: Fremy likes dogs and had one as a pet when she was younger.
* HeroKiller: Fremy assassinated several really powerful and well-known warriors and Saints to obey Tgurneu's orders and prove her worth as a half-Kyoma.
* HideYourOtherness: She wears an eyepatch to hide the unnatural color of her right eye, and the black cloth around her forehead hides the scar left by her broken horn.
* HopeIsScary: Since she doesn't believe she will be accepted by either Kyouma or humans, she's planning to die after killing the Majin. When Adlet offers to create a place for her once the fight is over, Fremy briefly loses it and tries to kill him before he gives her hope. Once that fails and Adlet does gain her complete trust, Fremy claims to hate him because being with him makes her want to live on.
* HornedHumanoid: Due to her Kyoma heritage, Fremy used to have a horn on the right side of her forehead.
* HumanizingTears: After her many attempts to push Adlet away and even failing to kill him, she breaks down in tears when she admits to Adlet that he has earned her trust despite her having sworn to herself never to trust anyone again.
* IJustWantToBeLoved: Even though she would deny it, all Fremy has ever wanted is to be loved. In her past, she killed potential heroes because she thought it would made her Kyoma family love her more, only to be heartbroken when they revealed she was only a disposable tool for them. After meeting Adlet, Fremy reluctantly becomes attached to him because he seems to seriously love her and is willing to risk anything to protect her.
* IWorkAlone: Initially as a Hero, she wanted to fight alone. Adlet started to change her mind.
* IcyBlueEyes: Her left eye is almost transparent blue and her glare is cold and distrustful.
* InconvenientAttraction: She wanted to never trust and care about someone again after her Kyoma family betrayed her. However, Adlet manages to earn her trust and she doesn't like how her newfound feelings for him make her constantly worry about him.
* InhumanEyeConcealers: She wears an eyepatch to hide her pink right eye, which is evidence of her being a HalfHumanHybrid.
* InterspeciesRomance: She's a half Kyoma and develops feelings for Adlet, a human.
* KarmaHoudini: Faces no punishment for the countless heroes she has killed and the plot point is quickly brushed aside.
* TheLancer: She always supports Adlet and contrasts him.
* LonerTurnedFriend: At first, she wants to fight alone and never trust anyone who might betray her. Because of Adlet, she ends up joining the other Heroes anyway and slowly begins to trust Adlet as a true friend.
* LongRangeFighter: She specializes in long ranged combat. Because her gun need to be reloaded after every fired shot, she's weak in close combat.
* LoveHurts: Her feelings for Adlet cause her to feel pain whenever he's in danger and she hates to be afraid of losing him. [[spoiler:Just to make it worse, it turns out he was brainwashed into loving her and once the effect wears off and he finds out Fremy killed his sister, their relationship falls apart.]]
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: Her left eye is blue and her right eye is pink because she's a half-Kyoma.
* MeaningfulName: "Speeddraw" is oddly fitting for a gunslinger. And she lives up to it.
* MouthToMouthForceFeeding: To save Adlet from his injuries, she gives him a tonic through her mouth via a kiss.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Her hair is white, which hints at her supernatural origins as a half Kyoma.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: She tries to distance herself from others and refuses to trust anyone because she's afraid of suffering the pain of being betrayed and abandoned again.
* NoSocialSkills: Mora looks at her and Rolonia interact and muses that between them the timid one might actually be Fremy, who doesn't know how to interact with anyone except by pushing them away.
* OddFriendship: Fremy is cold and distrusting, Rolonia is meek and self-deprecating. After a rocky start, the two form a strange friendship.
* OppositesAttract: With Adlet. Fremy is aloof and quiet whereas Adlet is extremely passionate and talkative.
* {{Protectorate}}: Adlet feels a strange instinct to protect Fremy from the moment they meet. [[spoiler:It's actually one of the effects of his brainwashing.]]
* QuickDraw: As her last name suggests, Fremy is fast to draw her gun.
* TheQuietOne: She isn't one who likes to talk.
* RaisedByOrcs: She was raised by her Kyoma mother as well as three other intelligent Kyoma.
* RedBaron: The Six Flower Killer.
* RedOniBlueOni: The cold Blue Oni to Adlet's passionate Red Oni.
* ReiAyanamiExpy: Fremy is a HalfHumanHybrid girl with short white hair, heterochromia and pale skin. She's stoic and cold because of a troubled past, but the protagonist earns her trust and she warms up to him.
* {{Revenge}}: She wants to kill the Majin to take her revenge because of the Kyoma who manipulated her and lied about her being loved.
* SacrificedBasicSkillForAwesomeTraining: Been trained since her childhood to become a strong warrior and had lived with Kyoma, due to this there are a lot of common things she doesn't know.
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: Hosts the God of Gunpowder.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Her weapon.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She develops feelings for Adlet because he's a good-natured man who truly wants to protect her from anything and repeatedly shows her she can trust him.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name is spelled as either Fremy, Fremie or Flamie.
* TheStoic: She rarely shows any emotions, but eventually learns to be more expressive as the story progresses.
* {{Stripperific}}: She doesn't wear a shirt, only a strip of cloth across her chest.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: She's cold, distant and cynical, but deep down she's a nice and kind-hearted girl who just doesn't want to be hurt again.
* {{Tykebomb}}: The Kyoma raised her as an assassin and used her to kill potential heroes.
* {{Underboobs}}: Her top leaves the undersides of her breasts exposed.
* WellDoneDaughterGirl: In her past, she did everything she could to make her Kyoma mother proud of her. Realizing that her mother not only would never acknowledge but never loved her in the first place left a huge emotional scar in Fremy.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: When Mora asks her if she loves Adlet, Fremy answers that she doesn't know what that is; all she knows is that she hates having someone she cares about so much that she can't stop fearing to lose him.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: She was an assassin in the past. She's not evil now, but she's aloof and dangerous.
* WillNotTellALie: Fremy never lies about her identity and past, even though the truth will certainly turn others against her.
* YouHaveFailedMe: She was unable to accomplish her mission to kill Chamo. As a result, she was deemed useless by her Kyoma family and they tried to kill her.

[[folder:Nashetania Loui Piena Augustra ('''Unmarked Spoilers''')]]
[[quoteright:253:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nashetania.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/YokoHikasa (Japanese), Creator/AbbyTrott (English), Lourdes Arruti (Mexican Spanish)

The first princess of Piena and the Saint of Blades. She can create and manipulate swarms of sharp blades, as well as using them to form shapes like walls and barriers.
-----
* AmbiguousInnocence: Due to the [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans beliefs]] taught to her by Dozzu, her mother, and many others at such a young age, she has very little understanding of morality, if any.
* AnimalEaredHeadband: She wears one with rabbit ears.
* AnimalMotifs: Her armor is designed after rabbits, including bunny ears.
* AnArmAndALeg: She loses her left arm in Volume 3.
* BadassInDistress: She was captured by Tgurneu's underling and almost died in the third volume.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Nashetania acts like a sweet princess, but she's actually a twisted ManipulativeBitch who will readily sacrifice thousands of lives in the name of creating a "world of peace" for both humans and Kyoma.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: She somehow thinks that Goldof is completely content with being manipulated and deceived. The idea that any of her actions might be evil or wrong doesn't even register in her mind.
* BraidsOfAction: She's a decent fighter and wears her hair in a long braid.
* BrokenPedestal: To Goldof. Once she's revealed to be the Seventh, Nashetania's real self turns out to be far from the pure, innocent princess Goldof adored. And despite that, [[LoveMartyr Goldof can't bring himself to hate her for it]].
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Quite literally. She has what appears to be bunny ears and she's rather eccentric, but she's especially talented in combat. Particularly with magic.
* CuteAndPsycho: She at first seems to be just a cute, quirky princess, but she's soon revealed to be quite unhinged. She considers sacrificing over 500,000 lives to not be a big deal.
* TheCynic: Somehow manages to be this and a WideEyedIdealist at the same time. She knows more than anyone about the CrapsackWorld they live in, and she admits to Rolonia that she would love to save everyone, but she also believes that that's an impossibility, and that true peace can only come about as a result of sacrifice.
* DarkActionGirl: She proves to be a deadly fighter. When she thought Adlet was the traitor and attacked him, Adlet admitted she was "scary strong".
* DarkAndTroubledPast: During a civil war of some sort, she was ordered to be executed by her own father. Her mother, brother, and many of her other relatives were killed, and she was forced to be on the run for a long time, always fearing for her life. After her [[UtopiaJustifiestheMeans true]] [[WellIntentionedExtremist nature]] [[CuteAndPsycho is]] [[ManipulativeBitch revealed]], it's not exactly hard to see the reason for this.
* DissonantSerenity: After being exposed as the Seventh Hero, Nashetania calmly confesses her plans, as well as her intention to sacrifice about ''500,000'' lives, all with a serene, smiley expression on her face.
* DontCallMeSir: Doesn't seem to like the formal way Goldof treats her, especially now that they are supposed to be equal companions.
* EnemyMine: She and Dozzu pull one at the end of volume 3 after being rescued, although she makes it clear that it's only until they defeat Tgurneu.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: After being exposed as the Seventh and becoming a direct enemy to the Heroes.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: At first glance, Nashetania is a cute, harmless girl in a bunny outfit. In reality, she is a twisted, manipulative and unhinged TotalitarianUtilitarian completely willing to resort to genocide to accomplish her plans.
* FanOfUnderdog: While Adlet became infamous with most people for the way he interrupted the tournament in Piena and his "cowardly" fighting style, Nashetania says she became his fan because of it. However, that just turned out to be a lie. She only said that to get on his good side, so that she could trick and manipulate him later. In actuality, she just thought he was an idiot who was easy to fool. [[SmarterThanYouLook And that turned out to be as far from the truth as you can get]].
* {{Foil}}: To Goldof. Both characters use each other for their own benefit in different ways, Goldof to keep his emotional issues under control, and Nashetania to kill the other heroes. But while Goldof's love and loyalty to the princess is completely genuine, Nashetania seemingly thinks of Goldof as nothing more than a pawn.
* TheGadfly: Has quite a bit of fun messing with people. Perhaps a little too much fun.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Half Kyouma, like Fremy. Unlike Fremy however, she wasn't born a half-breed. Rather, she was artificially infused with several Kyouma parts and organs, which granted her several unique Kyouma abilities.
* HartmanHips: Her hips are wider than her shoulders.
* HealingFactor: Fused with a Kyoma granting her enhanced healing.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: In Volume 4, she quickly changes the subject from Adlet's friends and family being turned into undead creatures to "more important matters", such as finding out a way to defeat the one controlling them. When Rolonia reacts with anger, Nashetania is left genuinely clueless and apologetic.
* IntimateMarks: Her crest mark is on her collarbone.
* ItRunsInTheFamily: Turns out that the views she holds aren't just exclusive to her, but to the rest of her family as well. Her father, the king, is apparently the only exception to this, which is why when he found out, he ordered them all to be executed.
* KingIncognito: She made herself pass as a maid when she went to meet Adlet at his cell.
* KnightTemplar: Blinded by her UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans ideals and self-righteousness, Nashetania is perfectly willing to get rid of anyone that gets in her way to create "true peace" and she will take as many lives as she sees necessary without seeing anything wrong in her horrible actions.
* LackOfEmpathy: While Nashetania doesn't give one iota of a crap about the lives of 500,000 people, she seems to show genuine concern for Adlet in Volume 4 when he finds out the people from his village have been turned into [[ParasiteZombie corpse soldiers]]. Mora and Fremy understandably find this bizarre, especially since she had just tried to brutally murder Adlet in cold blood only a few days earlier.
* LadyAndKnight: The Lady to Goldof's Knight.
* LightIsNotGood: Dressed in bright attire, mostly of white and yellow. In reality, she's a twisted and screwed up individual. [[ObliviouslyEvil Not that she's really aware.]]
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Goldof lives for her sake and she knows it very well.
* ManipulativeBitch: She adapts herself to others in order to easily deceive them and to incite them into doing what she wants.
* AMillionIsAStatistic: It says ''a lot'' when someone says 500,000 is a very small number.
* TheMole: She's the seventh hero impostor, but she's not on the side of the Majin. She's more of a WildCard trying to create peace between humanity and the Kyoma.
* MoralityChain: While his love and devotion towards her is genuine, it could also be said that Goldof uses Nashetania to keep his mental issues in check.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: Nashetania is dead-set on her methods and believes them to be the only way, and refuses to consider other options.
%%* NecessarilyEvil
* ObliviouslyEvil: Seems to genuinely believe that all her horrible actions are perfectly acceptable since she's ultimately acting for the greater good.
* OverlyLongName: Her full name is Nashetania Louie Piena Augustra. You can only expect a princess to have such a long name.
* PetTheDog: For as much enjoyment as she gets from tricking people, it's lightly implied in later volumes that she might at least care about Goldof and Adlet to a degree. Played with, in that she would still think nothing of manipulating and killing them if it would help her achieve her goals, which just goes to show how screwed up she is.
* {{Protectorate}}: Goldof's only desire is to protect her.
* PsychopathicWomanchild: She gets a childish sense of glee from hurting and tricking others, and is too caught up in having fun with it to really notice how damaging her actions truly are.
%%* PureIsNotGood
* RebelliousPrincess: She says she has always been a troublemaker and usually gets her servants angry with her antics.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her red eyes are warning signs of her being the first fake hero as well as her sociopathic nature.
* RoyalRapier: Uses it to creates her blades, bonus point for being a princess.
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: Hosts the God of Blades.
* TheSociopath: While she does show genuine empathy for others on a couple of occassions, the fact that she sees zero problem with sacrificing the lives of 500,000 people to achieve her dream, even calling it an extremely tiny number, says a lot. She also gets quite a bit of sadistic pleasure from using people like tools.
* TautologicalTemplar: Nothing you say or do will convince her she's wrong and what she does in the name of "true peace" is horrible.
* TheTease: At one point, she demands that Goldof look at her chest, where her Brave flower is located, to see if any of the other Braves had died yet. Since Goldof could've just checked his own, it's likely she did that just to screw with him, fully aware of his feelings toward her.
* TokenEvilTeammate: She rejoins the group in Volume 4, although the other heroes know to keep an eye on her this time.
%%* TomboyPrincess: Well known in her kingdom for this.
* TookALevelInBadass: Throughout the first book, she initially has difficulty taking down Kyoumas due to her lack of actual combat experience, but is later able to give Adlet a serious run for his money when she believes he's the 7th. Subverted, as her first showing was nothing more than an act on her part. She's been a pretty bloodthirsty combatant since before the start of the series.
* TotalitarianUtilitarian: She claims she ultimately wishes to create a world where humans and Kyoma can peacefully coexist. However, her plan to accomplish it involves the death of more than 500,000 people. Even Goldof believes her ideals will bring about the end of the world.
* TheUnfettered: Anything that'll help her reach her ultimate goals, she'll do without batting an eye. Likewise, anything or anyone that might interfere is considered disposable.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: People rarely remark on her bunny ears. Despite her being the only person shown who has such an appearance, everyone seems to act as if it's perfectly normal.
--> '''Hans Humpty:''' "I'd really like to listen to the bunny girl."
--> '''Goldoff:''' "That's the princess of Piena..."
* UnwittingPawn: Goldof suspects that Dozzu is just using her, and that his goals are actually separate from hers. It's unknown if this is actually the case.
* UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans: She was raised in and indoctrinated by a cult of people who thought exactly like this, including her mother. Any sacrifice, no matter how big or small, is worth it in the quest for eternal peace.
* WalkingSpoiler: After the first arc, not much can be said about Nashetania without revealing she's the first Seventh and she takes the role of an active antagonist to the Heroes in later arcs.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She sees nothing wrong with her actions, as to her manipulation, murder and even genocide are perfectly acceptable as long as they are in the name of a greater good. Nashetania claims to be working to create a world where humans and Kyoma can live peacefully together. But according to her plan, the death of some heroes are necessary, as well as the death of more than 500,000 people.
* WideEyedIdealist: Has a rather innocent and idealistic view of the world. Disturbingly, this doesn't change when she reveals her true personality. She believes everyone and everything will be fine and dandy once she successfully follows through with her plan involving the deaths of 500,000 people. She doesn't consider how a human-Kyouma coexistence could possibly end badly.

The head of the Black Horns Knights from the country of Piena, and is completely loyal to its princess, Nashetania. He's said to be the strongest person in Piena, and wields a SwissArmyWeapon that combines elements of sword, spear, and chain.
-----
* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: Protecting Nashetania is his top priority.
* AnimalMotifs: Sheep. Not as obvious as Nashetania or Hans, but the horns on Goldof's helmet resemble those of a ram.
* BaritoneOfStrength: In the English dub, he has a deep voice courtesy of Creator/RayChase. It serves to emphasize the dissonance between his appearance and his youth.
* TheBerserker: His unpredictable bouts of violence have been described as "a dark fire in his heart", and in his youth he would savagely beat people either out of provocation or self-defense. Meeting Nashetania calmed that part of him, but it's still definitely there.
* BerserkButton: Don't harm the princess.
* {{BFS}}: Her weapon of choice
* TheBigGuy: The largest member and the strongest physically, also one of the best fighters.
* BlessedWithSuck: [[spoiler: Born gifted with incredible strength but this coupled with the [[TheBerserker dark fire]] inside him ruined his childhood.]]
* BodyguardCrush: As a knight of Piena, it's his duty to protect its princess Nashetania. He clearly protects her out of something more than a sense of duty, though.
* ChainPain: Has one attached to his spear.
* TheChampion: His complete loyalty and devotion to Nashetania always come first to him no matter what. [[spoiler:It's later played with: he remains painfully loyal to her even after she's revealed to be TheMole, but Goldof doesn't agree with her ideals and while he refuses to turn against her, he doesn't intend to let her win either.]]
* ConflictingLoyalty: [[spoiler:Between his loyalty towards Nashetania and his sense of duty towards the other Braves. For all of his devotion towards Nashetania, he fully believes that her ideals will bring about the end of the world, meaning that he's hesitant to actually help her with anything (let alone killing the other Braves), but also can't bring himself to turn his back on her either.]]
* CoolHelmet: The Helmet of Truth, always with him.
* CreepyChild: Born with abnormal strength, and mental issues.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: As a child, he was a very low class citizen who lived in the slums, with a petty thief for a father and a missing mother, and he was feared and hated by everyone because of his strength and the [[TheBerserker dark fire in his heart]]. Because he was so shunned and feared, he would frequently be attacked by other people, and even though it was in self-defense, he would always beat them much more harshly than he meant to. He eventually grew to hate himself and [[DeathSeeker felt he didn't deserve to live]]. But meeting Nashetania helped him get through everything.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Towards Nashetania, as should go without saying.
* {{Determinator}}: If Nashetania's in danger, ''nothing'' will stop Goldof from protecting her, to the point where Nashetania claims that the strongest isn't Hans or Chamo but Goldof when he's trying to save her. [[spoiler: In volume 3, he manages to fight off Fremy, Adlet, and Rolonia without putting in much effort to keep them from going after Nashetania.]]
* DevotedToYou: Goldof is completely devoted to Nashetania. [[spoiler: And she exploits this fact so very hard.]]
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: Definitely seems like it sometimes. [[spoiler: He attempts to interrogate a Kyouma for information about anything related to the plans of Tgurneu, the Seventh, or Nashetania's whereabouts. He accidentally tears it to pieces with his bare hands.]]
* TheDreaded: He was infamous in his childhood for his abnormal strength and the brutal fights he would get involved with (and sometimes start).
* DumbMuscle: Subverted. He's quiet and might look simple-minded, but he's more intelligent than you'd think. [[spoiler: He manages to figure out everything that was going on in Volume 3 even faster than Adlet and Hans. That said, he was privy to a bit more information than they were, so you could say he had a handicap.]]
* ExtremeDoormat: Subverted. He can certainly come across as one with his passive nature and dependence on Nashetania, but it's eventually made clear that he ''does'' have his own opinions. [[spoiler:He himself exploits this view of him to trick Nashetania [[note]]or rather, Tgurneu posing as Nashetania[[/note]] when she asks him to die for her and he pretends to agree.]]
* TheGift: Born with incredible talent as a fighter and monstrous strength.
* GreenEyedMonster: He's obviously not happy about Nashetania' apparent fondness of Adlet. [[spoiler:Once her status as the first fake is revealed, he gets over it rather quickly, although he has [[ConflictingLoyalty other]] issues to deal with by that point.]]
* HairTriggerTemper: Seemed to have a disturbing case of this as a child; Volume 3 notes that while he was generally a quiet boy, he sometimes beat people up "for extremely petty reasons". He's managed to rein in his temper- more or less- by the time the main story starts, thanks to Nashetania's influence.
* HappilyAdopted: Takes the Auora name after becoming a knight of Piena.
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler:He remains in one for all of the second volume after Nashetania's betrayal.]]
* IJustWantToBeNormal: He just wanted to live a normal and happy life, but his strength and the [[UnstoppableRage dark fire in his heart]] prevented that. Once he met Nashetania and he started to serve under her, he was able to suppress his rage, and he grew grateful that his terrifying strength would allow him to protect someone rather than hurt them.
* JustAKid: Inverted. Adlet's reminded that, at the end of the day, Goldof is still just a sixteen-year-old kid when [[spoiler:he admits that literally all he wanted was to see Nashetania again, with no ulterior motives]].
* LadyAndKnight: The Knight to Nashetania's Lady.
* LightningBruiser: He's extremely strong, durable and yet fast and agile despite his heavy armor.
* LoveMartyr: [[spoiler: TheReveal that Nashetania was TheMole made him realize that he didn't know the true personality of the princess, but he still loves her and is very loyal to her. In volume 3, he acknowledges and considers even that she might be lying to him to kill him but he can't resolve himself to not help her.]]
* MadeOfIron: Vol. 3 shows just how much damage he can take and still keep going, with Tgurneu and Dozzu both being amazed by his endurance.
* ManlyTears: Volume 3, [[spoiler:when Nashetania asks for his help and when he thinks that he might just be a tool for her.]]
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: [[spoiler:His dynamic with Nashetania after she becomes a BrokenPedestal for him- by betraying the other heroes and confessing that her plan to achieve peace involved killing half a million people- plays with this trope. He still can't hate her and is dead-set on not harming or abandoning her, though he fully intends to stop her plans from coming into fruition.]]
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: [[spoiler:A source of conflict between him and the other Braves after Nashetania's betrayal. Him not caring enough to deflect any suspicions cast on him and acting erratically in Vol. 3 with no explanation ultimately lead to the other Braves believing that he's a traitor, when in reality he just wants to save everyone there.]]
* NoSocialSkills: Not as extreme as some other examples, but Goldof isn't much of a people person. He's a bit better around [[BodyguardCrush Nashe]][[UndyingLoyalty tania]], but not by much.
* PoorCommunicationKills: [[spoiler: Fails to tell any of the other heroes about what's going on with Dozzu and Nashetania in Volume 3, and Chamo nearly dies as a result.]]
* TheQuietOne: Doesn't speak often. [[spoiler: This ends up causing a lot of trouble and confusion in Volume 3.]]
* SatelliteCharacter: His character is mostly defined by his loyalty to Nashetania and his relationship to her.
* SonOfAWhore: He was born from a prostitute he never met.
* TheStoic: The only time he really will speak if when it comes to things like Nashetania.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: He's stoic and reserved, but he clearly loves Nashetania and cares about her.
* UndyingLoyalty: His love for Nashetania has come and gone over the years, but his loyalty has remained constant. [[spoiler:He refuses to turn against her even after it's clear that she plans to commit terrible atrocities, though he doesn't intend to actually let her win either.]]
* UnskilledButStrong: He was very strong even when he was a kid and hadn't learnt to fight with the knights.
* UnstoppableRage: You don't want Goldof's dark fire to flare...
* UnwittingPawn: Played with. [[spoiler:He falls into various traps in Vol. 3, but he was fully aware of them from the beginning. And though he's distraught when he realizes how much he's been playing into Tgurneu's hands, Tgurneu also fully believes that it's impossible for Goldof to save Nashetania--and is ultimately proven wrong when Goldof does just that.]]
* UseYourHead: Head-butted his father at eight.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Besides a strip of armor, there's nothing covering his front.
* WildCard: He's trying to keep everyone safe and prioritizes Nashetania's safety over the heroes or even the world, but is not willing to actually assist her in her plans. He just wants everyone to make it out of this mess alive.
* YoungerThanHeLooks: Goldof is only 16 years old, but looks older because his HeroicBuild developed at a young age. The only part of him that looks his age is his face, which is noted to be quite at contrast to the rest of him.

The Saint of Swamps, and is said to be the most powerful person in history besides the Saint of One Flower. She can eat animals and Kyoma many times larger than herself before spitting them back out as loyal minions.
-----
* AmbiguousInnocence: She's rarely ever been disciplined for some of her cruel actions, so she doesn't quite understand the severity of them.
* AnimalMotifs: Besides being the Saint of Swamps, her green outfit has a frog motif.
* ArrogantKungFuGirl: Let's just say that being known as one of the most powerful beings in history has made her quite overconfident. She actually thinks she could defeat the Majin on her own and the other Braves are just extra weight that she will get rid of if they get in her way.
* BadassAdorable: She's known as the most powerful Saint while being a cute little girl wearing a green dress with frills.
* BadassInDistress: [[spoiler: The blade gem nearly killed her in volume 3.]]
* TheBeastmaster: Her power as the Saint of Swamp allows her to eat any animal or kyouma interesting her. She then uses the components eaten to either create new pets or to alter/reinforce the pets that she already tamed. Her pets range from creatures as small as mouses to creatures bigger than a human, and they all live in her stomach, where she can freely heal and alter them. When she needs to summon the pets, she uses the green foxtail to make herself vomit the pets needed. Her pets are completely loyal to her and will act of their own will to protect her even by sacrificing themselves.
* TheBigGirl: The strongest of the group, her Jyuma are considerably useful when they are fighting.
* BlackHoleBelly: Her stomach is like a swamp in which she can store anything.
* BlushSticker: She has two permanently rosy spots on her cheeks.
* BrattyHalfPint: Selfish, immature, impatient and bratty. This girl has serious attitude problems.
* BreakTheHaughty: [[spoiler: In Volume 3, she experienced the fear of death for the first time when Nashetania activated the blade gem.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: While she initially starts as a psychotic half pint who wouldn't hesitate to kill if anyone annoyed her, as the series progresses she continues to make threats but won't act on it unless she is ordered to. This is seen when she sits with [[spoiler:Dozzu and Nashetania,]] both of which gave her legitimate reasons to kill them, but she doesn't do anything against them due to the potential information the group could learn from them. Also while initially seen as a potential problem due to her temper she is one of the main reasons that the Six Heroes are able to function in enemy territory, her ability to create hordes of monsters to fight other hordes of monsters gives the Six Heroes the space and time they need in major battles. Overall, she grows less trigger-happy and more cooperative with the rest of the group.
* CreepyChild: Chamo is very unstable and won't hesitate to kill anyone who annoys her.
* CuteAndPsycho: This little girl will threaten to kill you while wearing a cute and innocent look in her face.
* DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength: Accidentally killed her opponent during a tournament.
* TheDreaded: Because of Chamo's grotesque and tremendous power and unstable personality, she is extremely feared by her enemies and her comrades. Adlet and Hans find this out firsthand when she attacks them out of boredom, with the former mentioning he knew why Fremy ran off when attempting to assassinate Chamo before.
* EnfanteTerrible: Don't underestimate her for her young appearance and age. Chamo is an extremely powerful warrior who will brutally kill her enemies with a smile on her face.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Can eat anything with her powers.
* GreenAndMean: She wears a green dress and is the most brutal of the Braves, being willing to kill or torture those who make her an enemy or just annoy her.
* ImprobableAge: She became the Saint of Swamp at the age of 7, and now is known as the most powerful warrior of her era with only 14 years of age.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: PlayedWith. She uses foxtail grass to vomit her Jyuma, but doesn't actually ''need'' the foxtail grass to use her power. It's just easier than using her finger to do it.
* IntimateMarks: Her crest mark is on her right thigh.
* ItAmusedMe: Even after Adlet's suspicion by Hans is cleared up, she proceeds to attack both of them anyway, stating that she was bored of being stuck with "nothing to play with" inside the barrier and guessing who the seventh brave was. She then says she'll keep killing the other braves until the barrier is finally released if it turns out to not be either of them.
* KidsAreCruel: She's both the youngest and cruelest of the Braves.
* LittleMissBadass: Could you believe the most powerful warrior of the current era was a little 14 year-old girl?
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: Bored and frustrated with spending so much time within the fog barrier, Chamo figures that the easiest way to solve the problem of the 7th is just to kill everyone. [[TheOnlyOneITrust Except for Mora.]] Killing is generally Chamo's go-to solution for everything, until [[CharacterDevelopment character development]] kicks in.
* OddFriendship: She starts getting very attached to Hans later on. [[spoiler: She gets absolutely ''pissed'' when Mora kills him (temporarily).]]
* OlderThanSheLooks: Looks (and acts, due to being spoiled and rarely disciplined) like she's 8. Is actually 14.
* OneWomanArmy: She can summon an entire army of her monsters and they can regenerate, which is one of the reasons facing Chamo is so frightening.
* PetTheDog: Definitely not a pleasant child, but at the very least she deeply cares for her pets, as shown in volume 2 when [[spoiler:she starts breaking down and crying when Tgurneu poisons them.]]
* PrecociousCrush: Hans speculates that this is what caused Chamo to [[spoiler: continue trusting him even after he was accused of being the seventh]] in Volume 6.
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: Her body is a vessel for the God of Swamps.
* SkilledButNaive: Chamo is the strongest of the heroes, but her lack of experience tends to reduce her effectiveness.
* SmugSuper: She's convinced she's the strongest, so in her mind she's deserved the right to be conceited. A number of losses and [[spoiler: spending nearly all of Volume 3 on the brink of death]] has knocked her down a few pegs.
* SociopathicHero: She may be one of the chosen Heroes, but Chamo has no qualms about brutally killing anyone that gets in her way or simply deciding to kill every other Hero besides Mora when she gets tired of suspecting who is the Seventh. [[CharacterDevelopment She mostly grows out of this, thankfully.]]
* SpoiledBrat: Simultaneously pampered and feared by others because of her strength, she's used to doing whatever the hell she wants with nobody talking back to her. Mora is the only one who knows to punish her when she does something wrong (and as such is the only one Chamo is afraid of), but that hasn't prevented Chamo from developing a selfish and bratty personality.
* SquishyWizard: Despite her tremendous power, Chamo doesn't possess any fighting skills besides summoning her monsters. If her opponent manages to get through her pets and attack her, Chamo is screwed.
* SurpassedTheTeacher: Mora was her teacher but she's stronger than her.
* TagalongKid: The only child among the Braves. The others are either late teenagers or adults.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Always refers to herself in third-person.
* TokenMiniMoe: She's a cute little girl in a team made of otherwise older heroes.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Assured of her vast superiority, she doesn't take Hans and Adlet as threats. While she does manage to give them some trouble, they manage to take her out relatively quickly.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: [[spoiler: The blade gem would have killed her in a few hours.]]
* TheWorfEffect: She's prone to this, despite her reputation as the most powerful person of her era. She gets knocked out by Hans and Adlet in her first fight and [[spoiler:Nashetania nearly killed her with the blade gem in Volume 3]].
* WorldsBestWarrior: She is the most powerful warrior of her era.
* ZergRush: Her standard tactic of defeating opponents is just overwhelming them with her Jyuma. It's also her only tactic because she's too simple-minded and inexperienced to come up with anything more complex than that. It works against most Kyouma and warriors just fine, but against really strong or clever fighters like [[CombatPragmatist Adlet]], [[ConfusionFu Hans]], and [[TheChessmaster Tg]][[MagnificentBastard ur]][[CrazyPrepared neu]] not so much.

The very respected Saint of the Mountain as well as the head of the Temple of the Whole World, the organization supervising the Saints. As such, she's in charge of making sure that the 78 Saints don't use god's powers for evil deeds, as well as organizing the training of promising new appointed Saints for the coming battle against the Majin. She possesses a variety of abilities, chief among them SuperStrength.
-----
* ActionGirl: Arguably the deadliest fighter in the group. She could easily kill someone with her strength and Adlet choses to run rather then even try to fight her when she thinks he's the traitor.
* ActionMom: She's one of the strongest fighters of the heroes and has a daughter named Sheniera.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: She's one of the more down-to-earth members among the Braves.
* AmazonianBeauty: She's very muscular and attractive. {{Downplayed}} since her outfit doesn't show it off, but it's visible in some of the official art or in some shots of her BirthmarkOfDestiny that shows off her toned back.
* BareFistedMonk: Only fights with her iron gauntlets.
* BerserkButton: When Adlet is first believed to be the seventh, she suggests simply taking him captive and getting any information they can out of him. After he takes Fremy hostage for his escape, she always advocates killing him without letting him speak first because she's convinced that he's a lying scumbag. [[spoiler:His actions remind her of Tgurneu's threats against her daughter, though he eventually does prove his innocence and she has to grudgingly admit that he's innocent.]]
* BigBadEnsemble: Despite not being an evil character, along with [[spoiler:Nashetania]] she's the main antagonist of the first novel (what was adapted in the anime), with her being the character that antagonizes Adlet the most through the course of the novel and the one who forces the other Braves to go after him, [[spoiler:while Nashetania acts as a passive HiddenVillain that sets the trap that confined the Braves and tries to foil their advance to the peninsula where the Majin is located.]]
* BigGood: Due to her experience, she's the one leading the other Braves, and they tend to obey her orders most of the time. Unlike other examples, she can be quite twisted and even antagonistic when she wants.
* BrokenPedestal: To Chamo. At first, Mora is the only Brave Chamo cares about and respects to some level, and the only one Chamo can be sure she can trust. After [[spoiler:Mora lies about Hans getting injured by Adlet, is ultimately proven wrong about Adlet, and then when she's revealed to be a traitor in Volume 2,]] Chamo loses almost all of her faith and trust in Mora, and generally listens to Adlet and Hans more from that point on.
* TheChessmaster: [[spoiler:Vol. 2 is basically about her trying to manipulate the Braves so that they don't realize that she's a traitor, as well as revealing that she's been plotting for years how to kill and revive a Brave. So far, she's also the only character to successfully outwit [[MagnificentBastard Tgurneu]].]]
* CombatMedic: Besides having several figthing powers as the Saint of the Mountain, she's capable of healing others thanks to her knowledge of herbs.
* ContraltoOfStrength: Presents the deepest voice among the other female Braves, befitting her status as the most experienced of the group, as well as the physically strongest female.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]]. Both her eyes and hair are blue, but his hair presents a darker shade of blue, while her eyes are lightly colored.
* {{Determinator}}: A very dark example. Like the very mountains she represents, she's static and rigid, and, once she sets her mind on something, she will not yield in her decisions no matter the situation, even if that means killing a teammate. She's so stubborn that she didn't stop going after Adlet (even after other Braves start to defend his innocence) until there were irrefutable proofs that he wasn't the traitor, as she believed.
* DrillSergeantNasty: She has shades of this when training new Saints.
* ForcedIntoEvil: [[spoiler:Kill a Brave or her daughter dies, thanks to Tgurneu.]]
* GoodIsNotNice: In spite of leading the Braves and being determined to defeat the Majin, she has no problem lying, manipulating or killing other people (including her fellow Braves) in order to fulfill her goals.
* HappilyMarried: With Gunner.
* MamaBear: Mora is very scary when her daughter is in danger. She also considers some of the other heroes to be her children as well, in a way, so she can be ''very'' protective of them as well, although she wouldn't go to quite the same extremes for them as she would her own daughter.
* MoralityPet: For [[CuteAndPsycho Chamo]] in the first arc, to an extent. She's notably the only Brave Chamo seems to have any fondness for. However, several questionable actions from Mora change that.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Mora is in her thirties but looks younger. Lampshaded by Marmanna.
* TheOnlyOneITrust: Mora is the only Brave Chamo is sure is not the Seventh.
* PleaseKillMeIfItSatisfiesYou: [[spoiler:After she successfully has Hans killed and brought back to life, she's entirely willing to let the other Braves kill her in vengeance, knowing that she can no longer be trusted.]]
* PowerFist: Her iron gauntlets.
* PragmaticHero: [[spoiler: Lies about Adlet nearly killing Hans to convince everyone else once and for all that he's the Seventh.]]
* RedHerringMole: [[spoiler:In the first arc, Mora's insistence that Adlet is the Seventh and they must get rid of him as soon as possible, as well as the way she tries to get everyone against him makes it look like she might be TheMole, but at the end turns out it's Nashetania. In the second arc, even she thinks she's the fake, but the end of the arc shows that she's one of only a few who definitely ''isn't'': Tgurneu blew up when he said she was the seventh, which was the penalty for breaking his word and lying.]]
* SadisticChoice: [[spoiler: In volume 2, it's revealed that Tgurneu implanted a deadly parasite in Mora's daughter, and that the only way to save her was to either kill Tgurneu himself (which later proves to be impossible) or one of the other heroes.]]
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: Hosts the God of Mountains.
* SkilledButNaive: She's strong, intelligent and brave, but she isn't good at dealing with tricks or misdirection. [[spoiler:In the first arc she fails to realize that someone can use underhanded or indirect means without being evil and in the second she falls right into Tgurneu's traps because she isn't suspicious enough to pay attention to his words or actions.]]
%%* SwissArmySuperpower: The Saint of the Mountains has various powers unlike the other Saints:
%% Subbulleted tropes are not allowed. Split them off.
%%** SuperStrength: For example she can rip an entire tree out of the ground.
%%** HealingHands: The power of the Mountains can heal injuries.
%%** SuperSenses: A second sight and enhanced hearing.
* TakeAThirdOption: [[spoiler: Not wanting to lose her daughter or potentially doom the world, she instead satisfies the contract she made with Tgurneu by killing Hans and then having Rolonia revive him. However, since she herself knew that her plan wasn't certain to work, it could also be said that she ultimately chose her daughter over the world.]]
* TeamMom: As long as she doesn't suspect them of being the Seventh, Mora acts as a caring, if strict mother figure to the other Braves. It helps she's the oldest member and an actual mother.
* TreasureChestCavity: [[spoiler: A magic jewel has been implanted in her solar plexus with the cooperation of the Saint of Fire. Using it will cause an explosion of heat and magma to erupt from it. Needless to say, this would kill Mora in the process.]]
* ToplessnessFromTheBack: Her [[BirthmarkOfDestiny Crest Of The Six Flowers]] is located on the small of her back, so any shot of said Crest results in this trope, like [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mora_chester_op.png this shot from the OP]].
* TheUnfettered: She's on the side of the good, and, unlike Hans, she has a (slightly) better moral compass, but she's willing to commit unheroic acts if they serve to the greater good. Eventually subverted in the second volume, where, through the novel, [[spoiler:she's very conflicted with meeting Tgurneu's demands of killing one of the Braves in exchange for the life of her daughter, and tries to defeat the Kyouma by herself before attempting to hurt any of her fellow Braves, only attacking and killing Hans when she completely runs out of options (+ with a back up plan to revive him thanks to Rolonia).]]
* XanatosSpeedChess: [[spoiler: At first, she genuinely thinks that Adlet is the Seventh, and does everything she can to have him killed. But after he goes out of his way to definitively prove Fremy's innocence even when he's about to be killed, Mora then believes he's a legitimate hero, but pretends to continue thinking otherwise since she figures that would be her best chance to kill one of the heroes, meet Tgurneu's demands, and save her daughter's life. Unfortunately, without Rolonia there, she wouldn't have been able to revive him.]]

[[folder:Hans Humpty]]
[[quoteright:253:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hans21.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/KenichiSuzumura (Japanese), Creator/BenDiskin (English), Creator/ArturoCastaneda (Mexican Spanish)

The only hero whose name isn't well known, and for a good reason - he's an outstanding killer for hire. As he said himself, being famous would hinder his work. He fights with dual short swords and throwing knives, and uses an unpredictable fighting style known as 'Cat's Blade' that is inspired by the movements of cats.
-----
* AlliterativeName: '''H'''ans '''H'''umpty.
* AnimalEyes: His pupils are slitted like a cat's.
* AnimalMotifs: Cats. He claims that he feels admiration for them, so he dress like one to pay respect to them.
* AnimeHair: He has a unique hairstyle that looks like cat ears.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler: Comes back to life after being killed by Mora thanks to Rolonia's ability.]]
* BadassNormal: He's the strongest of the heroes barring Chamot, but has no supernatural abilities. Mora is shocked to realize that not only is he a better fighter than her, but is far more physically powerful despite her own strength being superhuman as a Saint and the intense training she's undergone.
* BashBrothers: He teams up with Adlet in combat sometimes.
* CatBoy: To go with his cat-like mannerisms, Hans has a tail and his hairstyle resemblances cat ears.
* ConfusionFu: Not only is extremely strong and fast, but the way his body moves is very difficult to predict, giving him many angles of attack. During fights with both [[spoiler:Adlet and Mora]] he absolutely dominates the entire time, [[spoiler:though he could be considered the loser of both matches.]]
* DeviousDaggers: He wields two wide blade knives, a fitting weapon for a sneaky killer for hire.
* DualWielding: He dual wields a pair of blades.
* FantasticFightingStyle: Cat's Blade. His original fighting style created by observing cats.
* {{Foil}}: Claims that he's one to Fremy. Both have lived the dark life of an assassin (and in Hans' case, still is), but Hans' profession is freelance. As such, he doesn't really need to get close to people and he hasn't been personally affected by his job in a negative way, as he's surprisingly happy-go-lucky and friendly. Meanwhile, Fremy worked as an assassin for a specific group of creatures who she loved and treasured like family, and was left hateful, distrustful, and broken when she was betrayed by them.
* TheGift: He's a naturally gifted fighter.
* HidingBehindYourBangs: His eyes are usually covered by his long bangs, but one of his eyes peeks through sometimes. Given that he's an assassin, being deceptive and stealthy is required for his job.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's an [[NominalHero assassin]], [[OnlyInItForTheMoney is only interested in getting paid for killing the Majin]], and his relationship with Adlet has a rocky start, being abrasive to him and being the first of the Braves to accuse him of being the Seventh. However, once Adlet proves his determination and that he is not lying about being the traitor, Hans quickly accepts him as a friend and becomes one of his closest allies, risking his life to prove his innocence.
* TheLancer: He shares the role with Fremy. From the first arc, Hans acts as Adlet's closest ally among the male heroes and {{Foil}}.
* LovableSexManiac: Doesn't hide that he likes women.
* MysteriousPast: The heroes know very little about him other than his name and profession. And he'd probably rather keep it that way.
* NominalHero: He only wants to kill the Majin because he could get a good reward from it.
* TheNondescript: Apart from the cat tail, he looks entirely unremarkable. Assassins aren't supposed to stand out.
* NumberTwo: [[spoiler: Starting from volume 4, he becomes the heroes' second-in-command.]]
* OddFriendship: Chamot tries to kill him and Adlet in the first volume, but after she loses she strikes up a strange rapport with him. She even admits openly that she thinks he'd beat her in a fight were he the seventh.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: After receiving the crest, he accepted to help only if he could get a reward for killing the Majin.
* PsychoForHire: He enjoys killing. However, he won't do it without a reason, though as an assassin that reason is generally money.
* ProfessionalKiller: He's a killer for hire.
* RedOniBlueOni: Hans sports blue hair with a friendly yet sadistically playful personality and uses his own natural abilities to his liking compared to Adlet's red hair and carefree and kind personality and his resource management fighting style where he must use his items to his liking. Case and point, Hans is a genius while Adlet's is considered an average man.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Looks like a fool but he and Adlet are by far the smartest Heroes.
* StreetSmart: Living as an assassin has given him excellent intuition and instincts, as well as an acute awareness of the people around him.
* VerbalTic: "Nya" and some variations. He speaks like that because he respects cats.
* WillNotTellALie: Downplayed. He would prefer not to lie, but will if he feels it's absolutely necessary, such as [[spoiler: confirming whether or not Adlet is the Seventh by claiming that ''he'' is the Seventh, and then gauging his reaction.]]
* WorldsBestWarrior: Chamo is the strongest of the Heroes but she has glaring weaknesses, Hans however is above the others in terms of fighting prowess, has a sharp mind like Adlet. Tgurneu and Dozzu are wary of him due to this.
* YellowEyesOfSneakiness: His eyes are yellow, highlighting his sneaky nature.

The shy, unconfident Saint of Fresh Blood. Her powers allow her to manipulate the blood of both herself and others.
-----
* AnimalMotifs: Her armor looks like a cow costume, which is a design chosen by herself. She likes cows and thinks they are amazing because she was born in a farm.
* ApologizesALot: She's used to being blamed for mistakes and apologizes constantly because of it.
* BespectacledCutie: She's a good-natured and polite, if timid girl with glasses. Her other personality, however, isn't friendly.
* BigBeautifulWoman: She's pudgy and cute.
* BloodyMurder: Her power allows her to freely control her blood as well as any blood she's touching. Since the whip has her blood on it, she can freely manipulate it, allowing for extreme accuracy. If the whip hits her victim, Rolonia can drain a huge amount of blood from that victim, meaning that a few hits are usually enough to kill any kyouma, and that a single hit is usually enough to defeat a human opponent.
* BullyMagnet: She's been bullied horribly throughout her life, leading to her rather pathetic self-esteem today.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: She met Adlet during her training with Atro Spiker and they became close friends. She harbors romantic feelings for him, but knows it's unrequited.
* ClassicalAntiHero: Despite being one of the heroes, she suffers from a cruel lack of confidence.
* CombatMedic: Her powers as the Saint of Fresh Blood make her capable both as a combatant and a healer.
* CowardlyLion: She's strong enough to be chosen as a Hero, but is afraid of fighting. This is solved by her other personality, though.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She lived a happy life at her family's farm, but when she was about seven years old, bandits attacked her hometown and both her parents got killed. Now an orphan, she was taken in by a businessman from a neighboring country. However, she and other children were used as his slaves. Every time Rolonia made a mistake, the children would beat and ridicule her, eventually getting her expelled by framing her for a robbery.
* TheGift: She has incredible talent as a Saint of Fresh Blood, and was chosen as a Brave despite not having received training.
* HealItWithBlood: Rolonia's [[ThePowerOfBlood power]] allows her to accelerate greatly the healing power of the blood, as well as to stop hemorrhage, making her a really powerful healer.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Because of her low self-esteem, she doesn't have confidence that she's good enough to be a Brave.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: She has romantic feelings for Adlet, but she considers it impossible for him to fall in love with her, so she just makes her best to always support him and make him happy.
* IntimateMarks: Her crest mark is on her bosom.
* LadySwearsALot: Her other personality is prone to cursing at her enemies.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: In the anime, she's introduced until the final episode, right after the fake hero was exposed.
* TheMedic: She's the only Hero with the power to heal wounds.
* NiceGirl: She's the nicest of the Heroes by far.
* OddFriendship: Rolonia is meek and self-deprecating, Fremy is cold and distrusting. After a rocky start, the two form a strange friendship.
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: She's the host of the God of Fresh Blood.
* SplitPersonality: Because of her weak personality, Weylynn taught her to develop another bloodthirsty personality in order to fight properly.
* SuperSenses: Of taste. She can make very accurate analyses by licking someone's blood.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:Rolonia has been trained for years by Mora for a precise goal--so that she could kill a hero and revive him later.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Since she appears at the end of the first volume when the identity of the first [[TheMole mole]] had been discovered, it's not all that easy to talk about her role in the plot, or even her existence at all.
* WhipOfDominance: ZigZagged. Her primary weapon is a 30-meter-long metal whip. Her normal personality is meek and gentle, but her SplitPersonality causes her to become violent and foul-mouthed.
* WhiteMagicianGirl: She's the good-natured, timid girl who heals her fellow heroes with her powers.

!Kyoma Commanders

[[folder:In General]]
* TheBet: They all bet their authority and are competing to kill three of the Heroes, the winner will become the leader.
* BigThinShortTrio: When they were still cooperating.
* CoDragons: Tgureneu and Cargikk command 40 and 60% of the kyoma forces, but don't recognize each other's authority while still serving the majin. Dozzu the traitor has agents in both factions.
* DragonInChief: The Majin is largely mindless and can only hate and spit out monstrosities. The generals command its forces instead.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: They were once best friends, but split ways when they learned the truth of the majin's origins. Dozzu could not work for such a creature while Tgurneu and Cargikk disagreed on how to serve it.

->Voiced by: Creator/AkiraIshida
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tgurneu_ln.png]]

One of the three Kyoma commanders working directly under the Majin. He excels in ingenuity and has set up various traps for the braves.
-----
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: While he's indirectly mentioned in volume 1, he officially appears in the second volume in the light novels. However, in the anime, he appears briefly twice, the first time in Adlet's flashback about his childhood in the 7th episode and the second at the end of the series, where he assembles his forces to fight the Braves as they are about to enter the lands of the Majin. His name is never mentioned in the anime itself, though.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Invoked. [[spoiler:He fakes a letter from Mora to her most trusted subordinate claiming that Tgurneu will turn her daughter into a kyoma because he does not see it as an attack and therefore isn't restricted. The letter says he considers this beneficial. It isn't true, but the idea sounds plausible enough that her subordinate believes it and will kill Mora's daughter as "Mora" suggested should the fifteenth day after the Majin's awakening come.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: Patient, good-mannered, intelligent. Will kidnap your children, force you to kill your comrades, trick you, steal your body, brainwash you, enslave your hometown and slaughter any who oppose, kill his own comrades, raise you as his own and then abandon you all while [[StepfordSmiler smiling gently]] and telling you what a good kid you have been.
* TheHeavy: Starting from volume 2, given the Majin is mindless and sealed, Cargikk doesn't takes an active role until later, and Dozzu [[spoiler:allies himself with the Braves after the events of volume 3]], Tgurneu becomes the most active and recurring threat the Braves have to deal with through the story.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He's visibly angered when he's called a monster that cannot love and cares for no one but himself, presumably thinking back to his friendship with Dozzu and Cargikk. However, his sociopathic behavior shows the truth.
* LizardFolk: He looks like a giant humanoid lizard.
%%* ManipulativeBastard
* OutGambitted: [[spoiler: Mora manages to find a loophole around the SadisticChoice Tgurneu presents her in volume 2. While he is surprised by it though, he doesn't really seem to mind all that much.]]
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: He's playing the role of BigBad in place of the sealed Majin and looks like a humanoid lizard monster.
%%* TheSociopath

A small, puppy-like Kyoma. Despite his small and cute appearance, he's a Kyoma commander.
----
* CanineCompanion: Invoked with his current form.
* KillerRabbit: Despite having the shape of a small dog, he's still a Kyouma commander and a dangerous opponent.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When he learned what the Majin actually is and where it came from, he quit in disgust to pursue a new goal.
* ShockAndAwe: He controls lightning.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He is a shape-shifting Kyoma, his dog-like appearance is not his true form.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He is the one who convinced Nashetania's mother with his ideology.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cargikk]]

The strongest of the commanders. He has the form of a lion and commands 60% of the Kyoma forces.
----
* {{BFS}}: Fights with a large sword.
* TheDragon: Given Tgurneu has his own agenda and Dozzu outright betrayed the Kyouma, he's the strongest and most loyal servant of the Majin among the trio.
* PantheraAwesome: Looks like a lion, was the previous leader and commands most of the Kyoma, he's also the strongest commander.
* PlayingWithFire: He can breathe fire and .
* PoisonousPerson: The smoke his fire produces is poisonous.

The saint who sealed Majin many hundreds of years ago. She is also responsible for selecting warriors to become a Brave.
----
* ActionGirl: We never get to see her actual strength, but the narration mentions she was strong enough to defeat the Majin in the past.
* BigGood: As the one who defeated the Majin long ago and chooses the current generation of Braves to ensure the salvation of the world, she's the main benevolent figure of the series.
* TheChooserOfTheOne: According to legend, at the time when the Majin awakes, she would choose the six Braves and bestow them with the power to defeat the Majin.
* ImmuneToFate: The power of the Goddess of Fate permits to avoid the fate of death.
* {{Mummy}}: [[spoiler: Still alive, she has been captured and mummified by Tgurneu.]]
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: She is only called the Saint of the Single Flower, no one knows her name.
* SealedInAPersonShapedCan: Her body serves as a vessel for the power of the Goddess of Fate.
* ShroudedInMyth: Even her name is a mystery.
* SuperEmpowering: She's said to empower the Braves via the Crest of the Six Flowers.

The demon itself. It appeared long ago with seemingly no purpose beyond killing humans and could not be stopped. It is largely mindless but commands the absolute loyal of all other demons.
----
* BigBad: It's the main antagonist of the series and the series deals with the Braves trying to defeat it through the story.
* CombatTentacles: It uses gigantic tentacles as its main weapon.
* EldritchAbomination: While it's design is never shown directly, it's portrait during the narration depicts it as a humongous lovecraftian being with lots of [[CombatTentacles tentacles]].
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Simply called the Majin.
* PoisonousPerson: His tentacles are poisoned.
