Oh, and even though she ''really'' wants sex with him, if he ever takes her up on it, at least before the 5-page ending, Takeya would have found himself in serious trouble from most of the population at large, especially his landlady, Neneko who has a history of beating him up for ''perceived'' violations of common decency or attempting to sexually exploit Ren.
21	* BookDumb: By his own admission, he struggles in class. So much so that he considers a grade of '''56''' cause for celebration, and it isn't lack of effort either.
22	* BrokenAce: He's noted to be handsome, and athletic, but he's somewhat bitter and anti-social.

On the other, he's well aware that he's neither a good parental figure, nor has any positive parental role models to draw from, and most, if not all, of the girls have no idea how to raise children either. Plus his rather rocky relationship with Ren has highlighted just how far he has to go to be a good master.

When his father's introduced, he implies that he ''conditioned'' Takeya to act that way, and is disappointed when he doesn't. By disappointed, we mean, "has him arrested under false charges, and kept in jail until he's willing to give up said girlfriend." Fortunately, in Ren's case, Harumi is willing and able to veto that plan.

Not having received any kind of orientation beforehand makes his rather awkward reactions somewhat understandable.
