The characters of the manga series ''Manga/DFrag''. Still a work in progress.

'''''Note:'' Unmarked {{spoiler}}s ahead!'''
----
[[foldercontrol]]

!The Game Development Club (temp)
[[folder:Shared Tropes]]
The main characters. [[ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything They don't actually make video games]], instead spending most of their time lazing around and getting into (mostly causing) all sorts of wacky shenanigans.
----
* ACupAngst: All the females are pretty annoyed at Takao's bust.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: With Kenji being the Tsukkomi, and everyone else being the boke.
* {{Calvinball}}: The kind of games they create.
* CharacterAlignment: In Funimation's cast announcements.
** Kazama:[[invoked]] NeutralGood
** Roka:[[invoked]] {{Chaotic|Neutral}} {{Moe}}
** Chitose:[[invoked]] NeutralEvil
** Sakura:[[invoked]] ChaoticGood
** Ohsawa:[[invoked]] TrueNeutral
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Goes without saying, but they are often the main source of weirdness, if not the outright cause of it.
* ComedicSociopathy: They’re prone to causing this. Especially Chitose.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: All of them. Although Kazama is more of a [[OvershadowedByAwesome Crouching Badass,]] [[NotSoAboveItAll Hidden Moron]].
* ElementalPowers: Parodied. All of them have an element except Shiou (although he is implied to be [[LightEmUp light]] since he [[BishieSparkle sparkles]] so much), though they're more like themes -- [[MakingASplash Sakura is water]], [[DishingOutDirt Chitose is earth]], [[ShockAndAwe Oosawa is electricity]], [[PlayingWithFire Roka is fire]]/[[CastingAShadow darkness]], and [[BlowYouAway Kazama is wind]]. It often just amounts to them throwing water and dirt at people, etc.
* GamerChick: The girls, obviously, but Roka and Sakura stand out.

->''"It's too late to go down the coward's path now. I'll rule this school with my fists!"''
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/KatsuyukiKonishi (Japanese), Creator/AustinTindle (English)

The main protagonist of D-Frag. Kenji is a delinquent and the leader of his three-man clique, who made the mistake of trying to bully the Game Development Club (temp) one day, only to end up being ''bullied'' into joining.

Now an unwilling member of the Game Development Club (temp), he is forced to spend his days bitterly dealing with their nonsensical antics.

As time passes however, Kenji slowly begins to accept his involvement in the group and finds himself participating in their insane antics more often than he would believe.
------
* AccidentalPervert: Twice towards Takao and her boobs -- in Chapter 6/Episode 3, Roka shoves her in jealousy for trying to come closer to Kenji (only to be rebuffed by his spiky hair), causing him to turn around and get a faceful; and in Chapter 9/Episode 4, the first thing he sees upon exiting the clubroom is her breasts bouncing while she's jumping up and down trying to remove the "True Game Development Club" poster hung over his clubroom after winning the SchoolFestival contest against Takao's Game Development Club.
* AlliterativeName: ''K''azama ''K''enji.
* BlankWhiteEyes: Almost a regular feature on his face whenever something crazy happens.
* BlowYouAway: His "elemental" motif, on account of his name. In fairness, his signature move is leaping off of people.
* BlueWithShock: Might as well be his default expression.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: He is the tsukkomi. [[WorldGoneMad The rest of the world (except for his family) is the boke.]] The sheer amount of punchlines he drops in later chapters exaggerates this trope.
* ButtMonkey: The poor guy just can't catch a break. After being forced to join The Game Development Club (temp) in the hardest way, he then becomes the OnlySaneMan in a series where everyone (except his family) is mad and prone to perform some crazy antics, more than often harming him, without counting that time when Chitose used him as a shield against Tama, or that time in Hashimoto Island when he gets sick just at the start of the journey.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: He seems to think so, but not really touched upon other than an offhanded comment to Takao to distract her.
* CluelessChickMagnet: He has at least three girls with a crush on him--Roka, Takao and Funabori--and doesn't seem to realize that they like him (excluding the highly proactive Roka). Even outsiders who don't usually recognize him expressed jealousy towards his luck, especially after [[spoiler:learning that Roka and Takao have been living at his house during summer break]].
* CoolBigBro: To Noe.
* CrossPoppingVeins: Almost a regular feature of his.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Deserves an special mention, because, despite how he doesn't get any respect and how he is mistreated during the series, he is the only person who was able to beat Roka. [[spoiler: Twice.]]
* {{Determinator}}: This guy just hates to lose.
* DistressedDude: While Kazama can hold his own in a fight, he tends to get kidnapped or is held hostage. Chapters 31 and 32 lampshade this. When the girls hear he was kidnapped, they only ask "Again?", and they give him the nickname "Princess Pinch".
* TheDragAlong: He’d much rather just read a book or something than dish out punchlines all day.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: A RunningGag. Despite the Kazama Gang being actually infamous ''and named after him'', nobody recognizes Kazama himself.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Manga/{{Bleach}} Ichigo Kurosaki.]] Kazama looks and sounds almost exactly like him, especially in the English dub.
* GenreSavvy[=/=]WrongGenreSavvy: Zigzagged, depending on the occasion and/or joke.
* GuileHero: Since he can't compete with the girls physically, the few times he manages to one-up his other club members are through deception and quick thinking.
* HairTriggerTemper: Kazama is very no-nonsense. Considering the rest of the cast, this goes about as well as expected.
* HeroWorshipper: Of Shawn Conecone, who saved his life as a child. So far, he is the only teacher whose class he consistently attends.
* HiddenDepths: He cooks both for himself and Noe, as his parents are frequently busy with work.
* ImagineSpotting: He has the uncanny ability to criticize ''other people's'' memory/fantasy scenes.
* InsaneTrollLogic: During the tournament. [[spoiler:Deny luck of the past to get luck in the present.]]
* ISurrenderSuckers: A slight variation of this occurs early on. Kenji's initial plan was to intercept his club admission form before it made it to the teacher's hall so that he could escape from the Game Development Club (temp)'s clutches without them chasing him down again. Unfortunately he finds out that Minami is their club advisor when Chitose gives her the form in the same room. He ends up just snatching it and running away again, once again prompting the girls to chase after him.
* JapaneseDelinquent: He's supposed to be one, but, as everyone points out, he's much more noble than your typical delinquent.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Leaning on the NiceGuy side. He's brash, disrespectful, and is a delinquent to boot; that said, he's actually a good friend, classmate, clubmate and brother, as shown when he agreed to join the Game Development Club (temp) to help Roka fulfill her dreams, defended Takao before a PTA meet after the "zipper-launcher" incident, and treats the otherwise beleaguered Funabori with kindness. Such actions as these end up winning their affection.
* MediumAwareness: He is the greatest source of snarking over his situation.
* MetaGuy: Kazama is fully aware that the situations he finds himself in are ''very'' abnormal.
* MistakenForGay: Due to Roka's miswording (of them being in a bathtub together), his mom thought he was in a relationship with Ataru. In the same chapter, she got further confused and thought he was [[BrotherSisterIncest dating Noe]].
* MistakenForSubculture: Early in the series he is mistaken as having a foot fetish after he senses Chitose putting her foot near his face despite being head-bagged earlier by Roka.
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: Despite wanting to have nothing to do with his club's crazy antics, he can be duped into joining the show this way. And usually will never back down where there is a competition.
* NoIndoorVoice: Due to his constant punchlines. It gets lampshaded too, with some characters telling him he's too loud.
* ObliviousToLove: In regards to Takao's growing affections for him. Also to Roka and all the implications her bag carries with it.
* OnlySaneMan: Pity him.
** NotSoAboveItAll: The best example of this is during the TournamentArc.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: He's the most "normal" character in the series, and tends to draw the least attention amongst his peers.
* PerpetualFrowner: He wears a cynical frown most of the time, though he can smile when he wants to.
* PetTheDog: After Noe's visit to his club ended with a series of misunderstandings that made her run off crying, he buys his little sister an expensive tub of ice cream (though presumably also to bribe her into forgetting her experience).
* PrettyBoy: While not as handsome as Hachi, he's still pretty good looking especially compared to most of the [[{{Gonk}} other male characters]]. Even Takao's sisters thought he was quite hot.
* RidiculouslyAverageGuy: Comes with being the OnlySaneMan, apparently. It becomes a plot point later on, as he attempts to find a way to make himself stand out.
* ShonenHair[=/=]SpikyHair: And it’s actually sharp and jabs anyone who touches it. It seems to be naturally like that too, and is apparently [[ItRunsInTheFamily a trait shared with both Noe and their parents]]. In fact, people mostly recognize him through this, as shown in one incident when people couldn't identify him after he just got out of the bath and left his hair flat.
* SignatureMove: Leaping off other people. Actually called so by other people in his school.
* SpikyHair: {{ZigZagged|Trope}}--he has a perfectly normal haircut, but the ends of his hair are so spiky touching them feels like being stabbed.
* SpiritedCompetitor: Despite his complaining, Kazama loves a good challenge.
* StockholmSyndrome: Eventually develops something like this towards the Game Development Club (temp).
* TookALevelInKindness: Takao noticed that he became less tense and violent after he joins the club, though the real reason is that physically, the girls in this school are too strong for him to handle.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Ataru and the other members of the club.
* WouldHitAGirl: Zigzagged; he seems to have no problem in fighting girls, but seems to have trouble picking fights with his club members, most probably because one of them [[StudentCouncilPresident has the political clout to legally kick his ass on her whim]].

->''"Welcome to the Game Development Club."''
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/KanaHanazawa (Japanese), Creator/BrynApprill (English)

The short, quirky founder and captain of the Game Development Club (temp). She used to be a member of the real Game Development Club, but she didn't get along with the rest of its members, so she started her own.
------
* ActionGirl: She's surprisingly physically capable and is a powerful fighter in her own humorous right.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: The reason why she left the real Game Development Club.
* BadassAdorable: Her hidden Dark-type is to be feared... and you could never tell that behind her cute, childlike looks until it's too late.
* BagOfKidnapping: Her weapon is a lavender-colored handbag which she puts over her victims' heads, hence her darkness "element".
* BishieSparkle: Tries to use this from time to time on Kenji to try to gain his sympathy or attention. But it doesn't work on him, and he even tells her this repeatedly.
* CastingAShadow: Her actual “element” is darkness. That is, putting a sack over people’s heads so they can’t see anything.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Chitose, since they were preschoolers.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Does not like Kazama spending time with other girls.
* CuteAndPsycho: It shows through TranquilFury.
* TheDreaded: PlayedForLaughs -- everyone seems to know that she is the "secret boss of the school", and they are scared shitless of her.
* ExpressiveHair: Her GirlishPigtails wiggle in response to her emotions.
* ItsAllMyFault: She left Takao's Game Development Club out of guilt for the decline of the club after her best friend Chitose punished most of its original members for their discrimination towards her. She and Takao were unable to clear up their feelings over their falling-out until after the SchoolFestival.
* {{Kawaiiko}}: Her frequent method of trying to convince people to do her favors.
* KillerRabbit: She looks cute, but only until she unleashes her Dark-type.
* NegatedMomentOfAwesome: Roka manages to save Kazama from falling out of a window and makes an impressive speech about how she wants him in her club, only to quickly realize she does not have the strength to pull him back up, let alone keep her grip on him for much longer.
* [[NoGuyWantsToBeChased No Girl Wants to Be Chased]]: Dislikes Hachi and his frequent overtures to her. There's a reason she considers Kenji the fourth member required to legitimize her club.
* OlderThanSheLooks: She looks a lot younger than she really is, with her little sister [[BigLittleBrother looking a few years older than her]].
* OneHitKill: To be bagged by Roka is synonymous with certain defeat.
* OpenSecret: Almost everyone in Fujou Academy knows she is the "Secret Boss" of the school, though it never goes farther than mere whispers.
* PlayingWithFire: Her "elemental" motif is fire. (It’s actually darkness, though she still sticks with the whole fire theme.)
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: She is one of, if not the only, girl in the Provisional Game Creation Club who wears a skirt with FULL tights/pantyhose, not socks or stockings.
* RageQuit: Does this to Kazama and Takao after trying to bend the rules when losing against them in "rock-paper-scissors".
* SignatureMove: Bagging people.
* StartMyOwn: Started the Game Development Club after a falling-out with the real deal, with some help from Chitose (in terms of manpower, as well as [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem political]] and [[JapaneseDelinquents physical]] power).
* SuperDeformed: Frequently drawn as this.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Not exactly supernatural but her brown eyes turn gold whenever she unleashes her "dark" element.
* SuperMode: Played with; whenever her "dark side' is unleashed her eyes turn [[SupernaturalGoldEyes gold]], and her [[PowerMakesYourVoiceDeep voice deepens]] and [[PowerEchoes reverberates]].
* SuperSpeed: She seems to be the fastest member of the Game Development Club, outpacing Kazama with ease, and able to unleash her bag technique near-instantaneously.
* TheThreeFacesOfEve: Among the three girls who have a crush on Kenji, the diminutive, highly proactive Roka is the Child to Funabori's Wife and Takao's Seductress.
* TokenMiniMoe: She’s a parody of this kind of character. At 143cm (4'8") she is even smaller than Noe, the shortest of the named freshmen at 152cm (4'11").
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The girly girl to Tsutsuji's (slight) tomboy.

->''"[[Manga/{{Doraemon}} Everything I own is mine! Everything of his that I want is mine as well!]]"''
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/ChiwaSaito (Japanese), Creator/WhitneyRodgers (English)

Co-founder of the Game Development Club (temp) with her best friend Roka. She is also the student council president. And a delinquent.
------
* ACupAngst: Has occasionally displayed bitterness toward Takao's bust. During the TournamentArc she and co-commentator Inada, supposedly from rival clubs, jointly engage in ragging Takao over he chest.
* ActionGirl: Chitose is a ruthless brawler.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Chitose is extremely arrogant and authoritative, generally looking down on the boys and walking all over them.
* AmbiguouslyBi: While she seems to enjoy stepping on and dominating Ataru and Kenji, her perverted eagerness towards being able to grab Takao's Breasts leave little to the imagination
* BadBoss: To the Student Council, as she is willing to use them for her own agenda, and has said that their possessions are hers. She picks on Ataru the most.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: She maintains her status as Student Council President and kept really high grades in spite of her delinquent behavior, abuse of the rest of the council, and her crude demeanor in general.
* BuriedAlive: Her favored method of punishment is burying her victims up to their necks.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Roka, since they were preschoolers.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Her eyes and hair are both purple.
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* DeclarationOfProtection: Made this vow for Roka back when they were children [[spoiler:after putting Tama to task for destroying a sand castle they were making]].
* DishingOutDirt: Earth is her "elemental" motif, evidenced by her habit of throwing punches (which she also claims to be earth-"elemental") and hurling dirt on people, as well as her fondness for sand castles.
* DisproportionateRetribution: She apparently did this to the Real Game Development Club when they started treating Roka unfairly (an image implies [[HeroicComedicSociopath she attacked them with a shovel]] [[BuriedAlive and buried them up to their necks]]).
* ElementalPunch: She uses an "Earth Punch" on Kenji when they first meet. It's a completely ordinary punch after building sand castles that left her hands dirty.
* FreudianExcuse: Her violently protective attitude towards Roka and almost all the more unpleasant aspects of her personality have their roots in [[spoiler:having spent the better part of her childhood and adolescence locked into a rivalry with Tama, ever since having stood up to the latter's bullying]].
* TheGadfly: Among other things, she deliberately tried to feed a starved Kazama a string bean she dropped on the floor.
* GuileHeroine: Zigzagged between this and ManipulativeBitch, depending on her intentions and viewpoint.
* HadToBeSharp: Chitose wasn't always the manipulative bully she is in the present; she just developed that mindset [[spoiler:to cope with Tama's bullying and to be able to help Roka]].
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Her gross abuse of others is always painted in a humorous light.
* HiddenDepths:
** She can actually cook pretty well, given that she had to for herself and her older sister, who can't cook half as decently as her.
** She also has a fascination (bordering on obsession) with gardening. She repeatedly asks Kazama's mother if she can go out and pull the weeds in their garden when she visits his house with the other girls.
* HighSchoolHustler: Because she's the StudentCouncilPresident, she can bend the entire school to her will and get anything done in a jiffy.
* HugeSchoolgirl: At 170cm (5'6") she's the tallest girl in the Game Development Club (temp); even Kenji is only slightly taller than her at 175cm (5'8").
* ImportantHaircut: [[spoiler:Her hair was torn apart by the haunted ball when she dodged it, symbolizing her getting over her trauma from it, metaphorically and literally taking the weight of her shoulders.]]
* JapaneseDelinquent: The reason she's even the StudentCouncilPresident is apparently because she beat everyone else up.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Leaning on a absolute {{Jerkass}} with a well-concealed HiddenHeartOfGold. High-horsed and manipulative she certainly is, and she's more than happy to abuse her position as StudentCouncilPresident to get what she wants, but everything she does, for better or worse, are almost always for the sake of Roka (best shown in her confession to Takao during the SchoolFestival), and occasionally she shows signs that she's not really as bad as she makes herself look like.
* KnightTemplarBigSister: To Roka in a surrogate way -- harm her (physically or emotionally), and she will do anything in her power to lay down the pain on you. [[spoiler:Tama was foolish enough to try, and thus became the very first victim of Chitose's "live burials".]]
* LegFocus: A lot of focus is drawn to her legs, and she is one of the few characters to have ZettaiRyouiki.
* PetTheDog: Roka is (mostly) the only person who she ever shows any semblance of kindness, though there are a few exceptions. At the end of the SchoolFestival she comforts a crying Takao after losing their bet, telling her that she doesn't care for winning, so long as Roka keeps her club. In a rare moment of honesty she even apologizes for her angry outburst that nearly destroyed Takao's club last year when she learned what they were doing to Roka, admitting that she let her wrath get the better of her back then.
* PlayboyBunny: Dressed up as one during the school festival to attract people to the club's games.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: The Student Council President, and an extremely powerful fighter.
* RescueRomance: [[spoiler: Seems to have developed a crush on Kazama after he saved her from the haunted ball. Not only is she now willing to live together with him despite her previous objections, wanted to visit his house despite the possibility of Roka keeping her cursed family heirloom there(the same thing that caused her to never visit Roka's house),she decided to bake cookies too for him after hearing Takao made some for him.]]
* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: More than happy to bend school laws (and create some of her own, or at least a LoopholeAbuse or two) to suit her needs as well as that of her club.
* StudentCouncilPresident: Inexplicably.
* SuperStrength: Was able to lift a gym locker without any difficulty.
* TookALevelInKindness: [[spoiler: After allowing herself to receive help from her friends in exorcizing the haunted ball, she becomes less prideful and easygoing. Tama felt disappointed she isn't as easily riled up as before.]]
* UsedToBeASweetKid: There was a time when Chitose was anything but a bully--in fact, as a little child she was timid and even a bit of a crybaby--before deciding to toughen herself to [[spoiler:protect Roka from the likes of Tama]].
* WeaksauceWeakness: She's barely capable of restraining herself from compulsively building sand castles when they visit the beach.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: She's so terrified of ghosts that she always falls for it when people prank her by pretending to be ghosts. Being pranked like that for the last ten years has only served to make her fear worse.[[spoiler: She briefly managed to conquer this fear when she was a child, but she was traumatized again after encountering the haunted ball.]]
* WithFriendsLikeThese: Roka would actually join in on Tama pretending to be a [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes ghost]] from time to time.

->''"I'm Sakura Mizukami from class 1-D! I'm a Water Type!"''
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/MikakoTakahashi (Japanese), Creator/MeganShipman (English)

A seemingly tomboyish, carefree freshman and the youngest member of the Club.
------
* BigBrotherWorship: A possible way to interpret her feelings for Kazama, as she always claims he is her big brother. Much to the annoyance of Noe, his real little sister.
* BrilliantButLazy: Apparently smarter than she lets on. She just doesn't like working hard.
* BrutalHonesty: She always says exactly what's on her mind, and always in her usual cheerful manner.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow
* CuteAndPsycho: Her psychotic episodes don’t happen as often as Roka’s, but are a bit creepier. It shows up through speaking polite Japanese in a CreepyMonotone, HiddenEyes, and sometimes a CheshireCatGrin.
* DemotedToExtra: In the anime adaptation, she might as well be one of the nameless extras for all she does. Subverted in the OVA, where she and Noe take the spotlight.
* DitzyGenius: Definitely ditzy and [[InformedAttribute supposedly]] [[BrilliantButLazy a genius]].
* GenkiGirl: She's always upbeat and happy, almost disturbingly so.
* HiddenDepths: Despite her normal behavior appearing as manic as her clubmates, Sakura exhibits flashes of emotional intelligence and social awareness on a level beyond most of the cast. Typically this involves her needling Kazama with poignant questions about his actions towards the other girls, implying she can see through his act.
* MakingASplash: Water is her "elemental" motif, evidenced by her almost always carrying around a water bottle.
* MessyHair: Her tomboyish-looking hair is actually a case of bed hair that she is too lazy to straighten.
* OddFriendship: With Noe, a fellow first-year and her self-declared "rival" for position of Kenji's little sister.
%%* PerpetualSmiler
* TheReveal: 2 instances In-Universe. First is that [[spoiler: she's the one who made Kazama quit their club to focus on being a delinquent]] and the second is that [[spoiler: she's the one who helped soften Kazama's hair enough to shave is head in order to win his duel against Roka]]. Interestingly, she immediately did this after somebody (the Game Development Club (temp) in the former and Noe in the latter) wanted to know why, and got a beating from them.
* RoseHairedSweetie: True to her hair color, Sakura is one of the club's nicer, friendlier members.
%%* {{Tomboy}}
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Water, she's obsessed with collecting water from various different springs around the world and she even likes spicy food because it forces her to drink even more water.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Similar to Chitose, Sakura is also psychologically crippled during their visit to the beach at Hashimoto island. Although in her case, it's due to the fact that [[TraumaButton the ocean is made saltwater and cannot be drunk safely.]]

Homeroom teacher of Class 2-D and "advisor" of the Game Development Club (temp).
------
* AdvertisedExtra: Despite her presence in both promotional materials and the opening and ending of the anime along with the main heroines, her appearances are usually brief and she doesn't have a very big role in the series.
* ApatheticTeacher: Perhaps the only reason she's even signed up for the Game Development Club (temp) is to find a room to slack away the day.
* AsleepInClass: Keep in mind that ''she’s a teacher''.
* CoolTeacher: She covers for some of the fights Kazama gets into.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow
* IconicOutfit: She is almost always seen wearing Fujou's PE tracksuit, a graduation keepsake from Noborito, an alumna of the school who was her friend early in her teaching career.
* OlderThanTheyLook: While her age isn’t specified, she looks no older than her students.
* OneOfTheKids: Most apparent when Kazama initially had no idea she was a teacher due to her behavior.
* SenseiChan: Her behavior and appearance are hardly any different from her students.
* ShockAndAwe: Her "elemental" motif, on account of always keeping a taser on hand.
* {{Sleepyhead}}: She’s almost always sleeping.

The other boy in the club who is quite infatuated with Roka. Rich and handsome, making him popular amongst girls. He stands in the corner, behind the bookcase.
------
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Roka.
* AmbiguouslyBi: He is openly head-over-heels for Roka, if only because she satisfies his masochistic urges, though he doesn't also mind sharing the same headbag experience with everyone else regardless of gender, such as Kenji and Ataru, much to the former's disgust.
* BishieSparkle: He sparkles like a diamond anytime he has something to say.
* TheChewToy: He's a pretty decent guy, but unfortunate, painful things just keep happening to him for the audience's amusement.
* ChickMagnet: Shown in his introduction in Episode 6 of the anime to be pretty popular with the girls, save Roka (who utterly fears him) and Funabori (who thinks he isn't her type).
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Zigzagged. On one hand, Roka tries to block him out of her head and keep him in the dark concerning club activities ([[AbhorrentAdmirer with good reason]]), and even Kenji finds him creepy. On the other hand, his gang-mates immediately took a liking to him (because he bribed them) and now they're almost always together.
* LightEmUp: Because of his frequent tendency to emit a BishieSparkle, Hachi is implied to have a light-"elemental" motif.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Doesn't get many memos. Doesn't help Roka actively tries to erase him from her mind.
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: Technically a member of the Game Development Club (temp), but is [[LockedOutOfTheLoop never informed]] about group activities. His official seat is in the corner behind the bookcase.
* PerpetualSmiler: He's always in a good mood. It is actually really creepy.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Where Chitose uses [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem political clout]], Shiou uses his wealth, as scion of a prominent MegaCorp, to get what he wants, such as ingratiating himself into the Kazama Gang (their leader's opinion be damned; it also helps that he and Ataru [[TooKinkyToTorture are pretty much alike]]).
* SelectiveObliviousness: Roka refuses to acknowledge Shiou's existence.
* TheTeamWannabe: Considers the Kazama Gang his "friends" and follows them around a lot. Kazama refuses to acknowledge him.
* TooKinkyToTorture: The idea of being subjected to Roka's bags excites him, and he likes being in closed spaces.

[[folder:Shared Tropes]]
The original club. Roka was originally part of it, but split from it and eventually formed the temporary club.
----
* PutOnABus: Takao tags along with the Game Development Club (temp)’s CastHerd for the most part, so the other members are relegated to "secondary character" status after the first few chapters, with Inada making more appearances than the others.
* TheBusCameBack: Kenji spends some time with the club in chapter 62.

President of the real Game Development Club and an old friend of Roka. While appearing elegant and dignified among her schoolmates, the rest of Roka's club see her as nothing more but a big-breasted, easily-intimidated crybaby who is nevertheless an important friend still.
----
* NumberOneDime: Her cellphone strap, which she treasures because Kenji got it for her along with a game she wanted. If she loses it, she'll go to almost any lengths to get it back.
* BoobBasedGag: Her "milk tanks" are frequently subject to lots of jokes and can be [[ImprovisedWeapon quite dangerous...]]
* BookDumb: Downplayed Of the second years, she's the only one who had failed with one subject but that's because all the insanity stopped her from studying and she wasted her last day of studying in the hopes of studying with Kazama.
* ButtMonkey: Always the target of the Game Development Club (temp)'s antics and mockery, on account of her oversized chest.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Like Roka, she frequently gets jealous whenever Kenji's attention is on another girl. Hell, she even gets jealous when Kenji refers to other girls by their names frequently while he usually calls her "Hey you". Eventually, he begins calling her by her name without any honorifics.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Shown shades of this [[spoiler:starting in Chapter 31, when she effortlessly stops a spinning robot with one hand, and then pushes it on its back causing a dent in its chest. Yes, Takao did that. Even the main cast was surprised. Considering that she got that from her mother, it begins to make sense]].
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Her first encounter with Kenji has her and and her club surrounding him in masks and cloaks, intending to make him drop out of his club, only to realize that she has no idea how to actually force him into doing so. She later confronts Chitose and threatens to shut it down, but once again has no idea how to go about this, and simply ends up with a face full of sand and water for her troubles.
* TheDitz: She's rather slow on the uptake and often acts faster than she thinks.
* DoomedNewClothes: During her trip with the club (along with Tama) where they tried to spend their money they won from Tama, she had to change clothes 3 times, making everyone else feel sorry for her and give her the remaining spending money (which she bought a gaming console with... that turned out to be fake).
* TheDreaded: PlayedForLaughs concerning Kazama's little sister, Noe. Noe is initially completely terrified of Takao both because of Takao's violent retaliation when Noe shoved her boobs and because she's convined Takao is bullying her older brother.
* EmbarrassingNickname: After defeating Hata-chan again in chapter 88, during her and Kenji's visit to Hata's school she earned the unwanted nickname of ''"Legendary Boob Crusher"'', having been able to best another buxom girl.
* GamerChick: Has a deep and abiding passion for games, and given the choice will go for a rare console or game rather than new clothes. While she did end up taking Kenji to a ''Magical Village'' release for a date, that was more because she realized she double-booked the date with the release, and didn't have the courage to reschedule.
* GenerationXerox[=/=]YoungestChildWins: She's the youngest of three sisters, and she clearly inherited their mother's looks, sizable chest and [[spoiler:power]], much to the displeasure of her two older sisters.
* IHaveBoobsYouMustObey: She doesn’t actually invoke this, but this trope has been {{discussed|Trope}} on several occasions.
* ImprovisedWeapon: Her.... zipper, unintentionally. And it causes such a craze in her school that she and Kazama are brought into the PTA.
* LastNameBasis: Takao is her family name. Her first name has never been revealed.
* LawfulGood:[[invoked]] Her alignment, as listed in her dub cast announcement profile.
* LuminescentBlush: She blushes fiercely anytime she is embarrassed, which happens frequently.
* MistakenForBadass: Due to [[PoorCommunicationKills miscommunication]], Noe is absolutely terrified of her.
* ObliviouslyBeautiful: Completely ignorant of her curves and how enamored everyone is at her breasts, much to Inada's consternation.
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: Plenty of fanservice is had at Takao's expense.
* {{Tsundere}}: Initally Type A for Kenji, but drops the tsun completely as time goes on.
* TheThreeFacesOfEve: Among the three girls with a crush on Kenji, Takao is the voluptuous, (obliviously) titillating Seductress to Roka's Child and Funabori's Wife.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Roka.
* WardrobeMalfunction: During the TournamentArc, she tried to zip her tracksuit to avoid embarrassment. Because her chest is too big for the jacket, the zipper inevitably snapped, sending the pull tab flying toward Kenji and accidentally knocking him out. That incident actually caused concern among the PTA that the tracksuits were dangerous (when really, it was just her breasts' fault).
* YoungestChildWins: Takao is the youngest daughter and the only one that inherited her mother's chest. Based on how everyone treats her chest, she won the DNA lottery -- although she wouldn't agree. [[spoiler: Chapter 31 shows she also inherited her mother's power.]]

The very, ''very'' perverted vice-president of the real Game Development Club. Apparently a freshman, like the other Game Development Club members. One of the more... "hotblooded" characters in the series.
------
* ActionDuo: A subtle one, with Chitose. In the spirit of [[CombatCommentator combat commentating]] and [[CovertPervert indulging in the wonders of Takao's bust]].
* CombatCommentator: During the tournament, with Chitose. Needless to say, she really does her job [[NoIndoorVoice well]].
* HotBlooded: Gets really pumped up over trivial (and perverted) things, sometimes flying into a rage that fits half the page.
* LargeHam: See above.
* LovableSexManiac: Gets to the point where one could say it's all she lives for. The only other being in the series who could be on the same level of lechery as her is probably [[CovertPervert Chitose]].
* LuminescentBlush: Which is often inexplicably combined with CrossPoppingVeins.
* NoIndoorVoice: Most of her dialogue consists of overly dramatic shouts, be it for sheer joy or irritation.

* DisguisedInDrag: As he was dressed like a girl when Kazama first encounters him, he continues doing so any time Kazama is around. One time he even had to make a dash to the bathroom just to get into disguise when Kazama made eye contact with him in their clubroom.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Even sounds like one.

------
* ButtMonkey: If Yamada shows up, chances are he's not about to have a nice day.
* CreepyCrossdresser: And Kenji considers the sight of him in a girly dress the pinnacle of FanDisservice.
* FaceOfAThug: Has a rather intimidating appearance, but doesn't harm a fly.
* FallGuy: In Episode 2, someone alerted the police of a group of people in masked cloaks surrounding a man (it's actually the real Game Development Club in disguise, pressuring Kenji to leave Roka's Game Development Club). When the cops came, only Yamada, knocked unconscious by Kenji on reflex upon [[FanDisservice seeing him in drag]], remained unchanged, and thus was taken by the cops.
-->'''Kenji, Takao and Inada:''' "We're very sorry, Yamada-kun..."

Tropes shared by the Kazama Gang in general:
----
%%* ChildhoodFriends
* TheDreaded: Apparently the most infamous delinquent gang in the school at the beginning of the story. [[SubvertedTrope However]], due to Kazama’s connection with the Game Development Club (temp), [[DudeWheresMyRespect people eventually just think they’re Chitose’s lackeys]].
* JapaneseDelinquents: As is typical for a gang in a manga…
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: They're all nice guys, and do very little harm despite garnering bad reputations.
* ThreePlusTwo: Kazama, Nagayama, and Yokoshima + Ataru and [[TheTeamWannabe ...Shiou?]]

Student Council Vice-President and one of Kazama’s friends. While he openly criticizes Kenji for the kind of lifestyle he leads, in private he is more or less an honorary member of his gang, and aspires to usurp Chitose’s presidency. Also a helpless, hardcore, self-certified masochist.
------
* AloofAlly: To a degree, once they reached high school Ataru ended up joining the Student Council and drifted away from the gang. Despite lecturing the others on how they should turn their lifes around, he's [[NotSoAboveItAll prone to taking part in their hijinks]].
* AlwaysSecondBest: To Chitose.
* AmbiguouslyBi: While finding Chitose's abuse "irresistible", he acts suspiciously too intimate to Kazama, much to the latter's displeasure.
* ChewToy[=/=]IronButtMonkey: And he ''loves'' the abuse!
* ChildhoodFriends: With the Kazama gang.
* HotBlooded: Another guy who [[NoIndoorVoice likes to do and say overly-dramatic things]].
* TheLancer: To Kazama, sort of. Might even be a parody.
* LargeHam: Complemented by a bombastic voice worthy of [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] (both of whom are voiced by [[Creator/JunFukuyama the same guy]]).
* LovableCoward: Thinks nothing of leaving his comrade and fleeing the battlefield, as he says he just gathers "intel".
* MrExposition: States that this is his role. In episode 4, when Kenji was with Hiroshi and Yokoshima, they run into a rival gang. Ataru immediately rushes into the scene from wherever he was at earlier, and explains to them who said rival gang is. Later he rushes to the Game Creation Club (temp), and explains to the girls that Kenji was taken hostage by said gang.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Shines whenever he gets especially excited.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Chitose. Ends up as her lackey anyway.
* SixthRanger: To the Kazama Gang. Despite disapproving Kenji's entire gang-delinquent lifestyle.
* TheStarscream: To Chitose, or so he aspires. At least he makes for a decent footstool.
* TooKinkyToTorture: Despite publicly stating that he absolutely loathes Chitose's guts, he seems to enjoy any kind of abuse she hurls on him. He also seemed eager to accept Minami's taser punishment after being caught in a NotWhatItLooksLike moment while untying Takao in TheStinger for episode 4.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Kazama. While they both find each other hard to stand at times, they're still best buds, with much of it coming from Ataru. Maybe too much.

* CoolShades: Never leaves home without them.
* {{Expy}}: Looks like a shaven [[Manga/SchoolRumble Kenji Harima]] with slicked-back hair.

* DelinquentHair: ''Three'' mohawks.
%%* EyesAlwaysShut

* PerpetualSmiler: For a "delinquent," Yokoshima is always cheerful.
* TheSmartGuy: Placed second of all the students in his final exam, and is the one who helped his gang (& Noe) to pass the exam to high school in the first place.
* StoutStrength: Strangely, despite his dwarf size, he is still treated like he weighs the most in Kazama's group and is also the strongest.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Nagayama.

* BigDamnHeroes: This is just what he does. Also his EstablishingCharacterMoment.
* CoolOldGuy: Everything he does garners awe and respect from his students.
* CoolTeacher: When he sees Kazama hasn't had time to eat lunch, he gives him a five-minutes break to eat in the dandiest manner possible.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: He is a blatant [[http://medien.filmreporter.de/images/thumbnails/7415_200.jpg copy of]] Creator/SeanConnery. Probably one of the most conspicuous instances of the trope considering that he is a fairly regular character. 466------
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The roots of her affection for Kenji.
* ButtMonkey: And surprisingly so. Because she's such a perfect wife, she gets caught up in the Game Development Club's antics, screwed with by everyone who isn't Kenji, and even gets yelled at for trying to be nice. In addition, every time she shows favor towards Kenji, every other guy in the class surrounds her and causes a ruckus, to the point where she's even forced to bandage everyone's shoulders when they aren't even hurt.
* TheCutie: Funabori is such an adorable, meek sweetheart everyone likes her.
%%* GirlishPigtails
* LastNameBasis: Like Takao, Funabori is only known by her last name.

* NiceGirl: Not a mean bone in her body. She even comes to class early to tidy up the room and water the plants.
* OnlySaneMan: Even moreso than [[NotSoAboveItAll Kazama and Takao]], Funabori probably holds claim to being the only actual normal student at her school. Majority of the humor around Funabori comes from [[ParodySue how her classmates perceive her]] and just how far out of her depth she ends when she does get sucked into the craziness of the rest of her classmates.
* ParodySue: She's sweet, considerate, and skilled at household chores. Whatever angle you look at her, she makes for the perfect housewife. And all she gets for her trouble is being constantly inconvenienced by her admirers and having to bear with the general insanity of her schoolmates.
* ShrinkingViolet: Her whole purpose is to react to Kazama's situations by being a big awkward mess.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: Too much attention can upset her and she can get frightened easily.

Kenji’s younger sister and a tenth-grader at Fujou Academy. Being related to Kenji, she is the most-level headed and [[OnlySaneWoman "normal"]] of all the girls shown, but even then that doesn't mean much.
------
* AccidentalPervert: Much like her "aniki", she already has had a run-in with Takao's plentiful bosom, accidentally grabbing them while trying to keep her away when she begins thinking the latter had been bullying Kenji; in turn Takao accidentally shoves her hard enough to hit a bookshelf and have a pair of ''tankobon'' volumes of the ''[=AiLove=]'' manga fall on her head (and due to the speed, Noe thinks Takao's ''boobs'' shoved her).
* BerserkButton: Mentioning how her hair is spiky, let alone making fun of it.
* BigBrotherWorship: A reasonable example. While at school they don't interact much with each other, in private she is pretty close with Kenji and makes his lunches. She is annoyed when Sakura acts like Kazama is her brother as well. And when really hurt, she does call him "onii-chan".
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: She's a tsukkomi, just like her brother. The girls take this trait as confirmation that she is indeed Kenji's sibling.
* ADayInTheLimelight:
** Episode 9 of the anime spent two-thirds of its airtime devoted to her visit to her brother's club (and a hilariously bad first impression of Takao). The OVA is also focused on her.
** She gets another focus mini-arc in chapters 97-99 of the manga, being coerced into doing a favor for [[TheDreaded Tama-chan]] as a part of "Team First years".
* {{Determinator}}: Not as much as Kenji, but still she hates to lose as well.
* AnIcePerson: Her "elemental" motif as attributed to her by Roka, due to her love of ice cream.
* ItRunsInTheFamily: Her similarities to Kenji (and their mother) are lampshaded frequently. Specifically [[HereditaryHairstyle their hair]], their [[BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine punchlines]], and their determination to win.
* LittleMissSnarker: Much like her "aniki", she's prone to speaking her mind out regarding all the insanity within her ''alma mater''.
* NaturalWeapon: Both Discussed and Invoked regarding her hair; as a product of its natural, stiff spikiness and how she wears it in small buns, they can be flailed like a defensive weapon.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Also like her brother.
* OddFriendship: With Sakura, a fellow first year. While she often expresses annoyance at the latter's attempts to treat Kenji like her older brother, they actually get along pretty well.
* OnlySaneMan: Like her brother.
* SpikyHair: How the club realized Kenji was her brother.
* TokenMiniMoe: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. While she is certainly the shortest of the named freshmen at 152cm (4'11"), she is still considerably taller than Roka, who at 143cm (4'8") is shockingly diminutive for a sixteen/seventeen-year-old.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaUeda (Japanese), Creator/LindsaySeidel (English)

A pigtailed third-year and Chitose's predecessor as Student Council President. She has a long-running grudge with Roka and Chitose for... [[EvilIsPetty reasons]].
-----
* ActionGirl: As befitting Chitose's rival, she knows how to scrap with the best of them.
* ArcVillain: During the Former Student Council arc.
* BrickJoke: [[spoiler: Yes, Tama is the same "Tama-chan" whose money Kazama found.]]
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Becomes more or less a recurring character who takes a shine to the Game Development Club (temp) (and Kenij in particular) after her defeat.
* DisproportionateRetribution: As revenge for losing her position to Chitose, Tama targets the latter's club for disbandment, ultimately battling them in a "steal the other team's cellphones" game. [[spoiler:Her enmity even goes way back into their preschool years, in retaliation for Chitose standing up to her bullying.]]
* TheDreaded: Her reputation as the former Fujou Student Council President makes her this, on par with Roka. Even Noe, a first year student who has never spoken with her before, becomes absolutely ''terrified'' upon recognizing her at a cafe and immediately tries to hide herself. After being caught, her friend Ogawa also recognizes Tama and proceeds to exposit her legendary reputation while stuttering in shock/fear.
* DropInCharacter: Occasionally makes appearances after Kenji and Roka defeat her, showing up to help them out of jams... or to just stick her nose into their business.
* {{Fetish}}: Being called "cute" or Tama-chan instead of Tama-senpai. Kenji uses it against her, when he fools her into loosing her pigtails after he claims she looks better without them, fazing her long enough for Roka to swoop in with head-bag in hand.
* HugeSchoolgirl: Officially the tallest female among the named cast, standing at 181 cm (5'11").
* {{Hypocrite}}: Claims that her crusade to shut down the Game Development Club (temp) is to avenge the students "volunteered" by Chitose to build her entertainment booth during the SchoolFestival. Except Tama cannot claim moral superiority any more than Chitose herself can, and that she is just as much of a bully as Chitose was, if not even worse; [[spoiler:flashbacks even strongly imply that her bullying was ''the'' reason the once wimpy, weepy Chitose toughened up in the first place]].
* InsistentTerminology: Tama is exceptionally keen on having Kazama call her Tama-chan, despite being his senior.
* SchoolyardBullyAllGrownUp: As a child she lorded it over a local sandbox where Chitose and Roka also played, and not even a firsthand experience of Chitose's wrath fazed her one bit -- if anything, it only made her hate Chitose even more, to the point of actually thinking up ways to counteract anything she (or Roka) could think of.
* StudentCouncilPresident: The previous one.
* StrongAndSkilled: Unlike many of the other girls, not only does she seem to be freakishly strong but she also has a developed (if highly unorthodox) fighting style inspired by... [[FantasticFightingStyle Japan's cultural heritage]]?
* TheUnblinking: There's something... off about her. Tama normally does not express strong emotions and blankly stares ahead with wide eyes.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: At first, but she gets friendlier. Somewhat.
* WorfEffect: She nullifies Roka's bag attack by pulling on her pigtails to prevent it from going over her head. And for all of Chitose's taunting and grandstanding prior to the start of the cell game, Kazuma finds out from Roka that she's never actually beaten Tama in a fight before.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EriSendai (Japanese), Creator/LeahClark (English)

The former Student Council Secretary, with a nasty habit of vomiting a lot.
------
* ButtMonkey: Shinsen is never treated as anything more than a minor inconvenience, and she gets zero respect from everyone, even her fellow former Student Council members.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Is called "Pukey" or "Barfy" by just about everyone.
* FieryRedHead: She gets upset easily and is very passionate despite her status as the local ButtMonkey.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Even Shinsen's manager at work thinks of her as "Pukey".
* ProneToVomiting: She vomits because of things like being shaken around in a robot or seeing Tama spin her hair around.
* VomitDiscretionShot: We don't get to see her hurl her guts out in the manga; we only hear the sound of it.
* WaterfallPuke: In the anime, it takes the form of colorful flowers.

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/naganuma_1472.jpg]]
->''"Onii-chan will do his best to fight fair and square!"''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AkiraIshida (Japanese), Creator/CliffordChapin (English)

The former Student Council Vice-President. Hardcore otaku, boasts about watching anime that air late at midnight, and constantly keeps his eyes near-shut, no matter the situation.
------
* BigBrotherInstinct: Turned into a joke in his case, as he immediately changed his idea of taking Sakura 2-on-1 after she told him that "Naganuma-oniichan would never do something that dirty". His reaction? Charging towards a retreating Kazama and Roka while loudly proclaiming "onii-chan's will to fight fair and square".
* CutenessOverload: Whenever he hears [[Creator/MikakoTakahashi Sakura]] and [[Creator/KanaHanazawa Roka]] talking. He breaks down shortly after.
* EyesAlwaysShut‎: His defining character trait. Claimed to be caused by fatigue, and so that the teachers don't catch him sleeping in class.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: When he decided to open his eyes in his "battle" against Kazama. [[https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BjVi32qCEAE1Vdw.jpg:large It's regrettably hilarious.]]
* IAmNotLeftHanded: He opens his eyes when he's ready to be serious. Subverted in that it hardly improves anything.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: He notices that [[Creator/MikakoTakahashi Sakura]] and [[Creator/KanaHanazawa Roka]] sound like [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall seiyuus]].
* LetsGetDangerous: ...Only to turn into a moe-struck idiot again shortly after hearing [[Creator/KanaHanazawa Roka]]'s voice.
* TheOneGuy: The only male member of the former Student Council.
* {{Otaku}}: His source of power, as well as the cause for his pathetic loss in the minigame.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tsutsuji Shibasaki]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tsutsuji_248.jpg]]
->''"And so, I'll have you quit the club once and for all!"''

Roka's younger sister, a first-year at Higashifuge Academy, and herself a member of its game development club.
------
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: How Roka treats her. Even Kenji agrees that Tsutsuji doesn't make for good little sister material.
* BigSisterWorship: Adores Roka a lot. She doesn't repay the fangirling. Even Kenji correctly guesses that she's the kind of person who'd prepare Roka a bento with the words "I Love Onee-chan" on it.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Her introductory chapter has her spouting a rapid stream of retorts to ''[[OnlySaneMan Kenji]]'''s remarks, of all the available people in this series. The Kazama Gang even acknowledge it.
* BookDumb: Kusshi-senpai implies that she keeps failing to get into Fujou and join Roka due to both her procrastination and frequently being distracted by Roka's activities. Openly admitted later when she asks Noe to help her with her summer homework.
* CommonalityConnection: The basis of the friendship she develops with Noe, being fellow younger sisters. They become acquainted with one another during the Hashimoto island arc and the next time they meet they already act like friends, with Noe mentally admitting that she "did kind of miss her company". This is significant for Tsutsuji since she doesn't seem to have many (if any) friends her own age.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Dislikes anyone she thinks is consuming Roka's time, particularly Kenji, who Roka keeps talking about all the time, even at home.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The (slight) tomboy to Roka's girly girl.
* TomboyishPonytail: Wears one on the left side of her head, though she tries to emulate Roka by adding a smaller one on the right side.
* YoungerThanSheLooks: Not only does she look older than Roka, but she also looks older than a tenth-grader.

->''"You'd better go home. It'd be rude to the kids who are playing seriously."''

A third-year and veritable source of information. One of the most dependable and caring characters in the series, she's regarded as a "big sister" figure to all of Fujou High, despite her [[ArsonMurderandJaywalking scary face and side ponytail]].
------
* CoolBigSis: What the entire school sees her as.
* InSeriesNickname: "Kusshi-senpai"
* {{Moe}}: {{Invoked|Trope}} by her schoolmates, who claim she has a "cute" side to her, which makes her popular with guys. Even Kenji agrees.
* MsExposition: The only character in the series whose words aren't guaranteed to be 100% bullshit.
* PetitePride: According to her, she'd be ranked below a hundred in the school. Not that she minds, though.
* PunchCatch: Does one in chapter 44, against a raging Tsutsuji. She [[ScaryFlashlightFace reduced]] her to a crying wreck shortly afterwards, albeit unintentionally.
* TheReliableOne: Looks aside, she is famous for her dependable nature.
* ScaryFlashlightFace: What her default facial expression looks like most of the time. Complete with emphasized shading on the upper half of her face.
* TherapyBackfire: Her attempt at getting [[BigBreastPride Saginuma]] to return back to school after having her former 1st-place title of "Biggest Breasts in School" stripped by Takao... It didn't end favorably (with Saginuma being completely brushed off and Kusshi herself fainting due to working too hard for it.)
* TomboyishPonytail: Wears one on the right side of her head.

[[folder:Hata Takafudou]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dfraghatachan.png]]
[[caption-width-right:200:The face of a ...demon?]]
->''"I can't even imagine how unfortunate that must be as I am the embodiment of good fortune, [[VerbalTic desuno]]!!"''

Introduced during the Hashimoto Adventure Island arc of the manga. She is the president of the Game Development Club for St. Tachikawa Girl's School, a private, all female academy for rich girls. Notable for her rather impressive bust that rivals even Takao's, outgoing personality, and eccentric speech patterns.
------

* ComplexityAddiction: May be suffering from a mild case of this, given the level of detail all of her schemes seem to involve.
* DisappointedByTheMotive:
** Zig Zagged in regards to the reason why [[spoiler: she and her club kidnapped Hashimoto and hijacked the event. Initially played straight when they admit it was because their application to participate was snubbed the previous year.]]
** [[spoiler: Immediately subverted when we find out ''why'' said application was snubbed: the tournament organizers saw the name of their school (St. Tachikawa '''Girl's''' School) and were [[NerdsAreVirgins too intimidated by the prospect of interacting with girls]], rejecting the application outright]].
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Not strictly a super power per se, but Hata's claim to fame is her abnormally good luck which she further augments with her special technique ([[IntangibleTheft see below]]) to absurd levels. She proceeds to demonstrate this by [[spoiler: [[StrollingThroughTheChaos walking directly in front a minigun firing at full speed]] only to seemingly trip halfway through, ''conveniently dodging a bullet to the head'' '''''while also finding a 500 yen coin'''''.]]
* IntangibleTheft: Claims to have the ability to absorb other people's luck by ''breathing in their sighs''.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: Sports this look during her initial appearance on Hashimoto Adventure Island.
* TheRival:
** Establishes herself as this to Takao based on their cavalry battle antics at the beach.
** Considers Kazama one as well, [[spoiler: since he was ultimately the one to defeat her group during the climax of the Hashimoto Island arc.]] Although it kind of comes across as [[{{Tsundere}} an excuse]] for her to [[FoeRomanceSubtext spend time with him]] whenever they run into each other.
* SchoolIdol: Appears to be this, given the amount of influence she seems to hold with her fellow students.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Downplayed; mostly as a {{Foil}} to [[ReluctantFanserviceGirl Takao]]. Knowing she's attractive (and has a nice rack), she uses this to her advantage to be the center of attention during the beach chapter of the Hashimoto Island arc.
* SoreLoser: She has a reputation amongst her peers of being willing to resort to ''anything'' short of straight up cheating to win. And in the event that she does lose, she's not above sabotaging the prize to the point of worthlessness.
* VerbalTic:
** Ends many of her statements with "desuno".
** Takes to referring to Kenji as "Kazama-sama" [[spoiler: after her defeat at Hashimoto's island.]]
