Barry from the original(?) timeline before the Reverse-Flash changed history. He became the Flash in 2020, the year the Particle Accelerator was originally completed. By 2024, he has married Iris West and become head of the CCPD's CSI division. He wears the classic Flash suit from the comics, complete with the golden lightning bolt on a white circle ChestInsignia. He did ''something'' that made him the mortal enemy of the Reverse-Flash, so much that the Reverse-Flash went back in time to try to kill him as a child, and Barry followed suit to try and stop him. What happened after he saved his younger self is unknown.

\
In Season Three of ''The Flash'', present-day Barry travels to 2024 and meets his future self, but the timeline has been altered through his own meddling so this future Barry is not the same as the original.

\
However, one thing remains constant; no matter how many alterations the timeline goes through, as long as the Flash exists, he is destined to disappear in a "Red Sky Crisis" (which will happen regardless of Barry's presence) on April 25th, 2024. What happens to him after that is not yet revealed, except one thing -- he never comes back!

\
At least that how it ''was''! Barry's daughter Nora West-Allen had never known her father and wanted to stopped his disappearance. Her attempts to stop that however had consequences that nobody could foresee, the date of Barry's disappearance being moved up five years to 2019!
----
-> For tropes applying to his present day-self, see Characters/ArrowverseBarryAllen.
-> For tropes applying to his time remant Savitar, see Characters/ArrowverseSavitar
----
* AlternateSelf: To our Barry. To the future Barry in Season Three as well.
* ArchEnemy: To Eobard Thawne/The Reverse-Flash.
* BadassBookworm: In addition to being a superhero and forensic scientist, he created the AI Gideon, which got stolen by Thawne.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters (his present-day self included) and the Legends, his fate and status are frequently changing.
* HappilyMarried: To Iris in the pre and post-Savitar timelines.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Or rather, of another timeline.
* LightningBruiser: {{Pun}}s aside, he is able to go toe-to-toe with Eobard Thawne in contrast to our Barry, who's frequently at the receiving end of a CurbStompBattle.
* NoodleIncident: He did ''something'' that earned him the everlasting hatred of Eobard Thawne. Except not; it was all Thawne's petty jealousy.
* OlderAndWiser:
** Unlike his younger self, the original timeline version knows all too well the dangers of TimeTravel, and warns 2015 Barry not to interfere in their past.
** Subverted by the Savitar timeline version, as 2016 Barry is too broken over Zoom murdering Henry to heed his original future self's warning and messes up the timeline even further, ultimately leading to Savitar -- or rather, his own self impersonating Savitar -- breaking free and murdering Iris.
* OlderThanTheyLook: All versions of him barely aged since he first got his powers.
* RedIsHeroic: All future versions wear the iconic Flash costume, which is a much brighter shade of red than the current one and sports solid golden earpieces, a fully golden lightning belt, and golden lightning cuffs for the arms and boots, which is even closer than what we glimpsed of original future Barry's suit.
* RetGone:
** Averted by the main timeline. By all logic, Thawne screwing with the timeline ''should'' mean that this Barry should not even exist, and yet he does. It's explained in Season Two, when Harry Wells theorizes that the way time travel works, time will let you play out your history until you reach the point when you're retgoned.
** Played straight by the Savitar timeline version of him, who is negated thanks to Iris surviving and Savitar's defeat.
** The post-Savitar timeline version is also negated thanks to Nora being erased from existence and the Crisis moving to 2019 instead of 2024. Since Earth-1 Barry ultimately survived the Crisis and some Earths merged, this version is impossible.
* SuddenlyVoiced: The original timeline's Future Barry never spoke a word, but in ''Legends of Tomorrow'' 2x03 and ''The Flash'' 3x08 we get to hear a recorded message from him (or at least his 2056 self) to Rip Hunter, and in ''The Flash'' 3x19 he and his present-day self talk. Same goes with the post-Savitar timeline version, who left a VideoWills for his daughter Nora.
* TrueCompanions: With Oliver Queen. Notice that in spite of the many {{Cosmic Retcon}}s that changed the superheroes fighting with him during the Red Skies Crisis, Green Arrow is the only one that remains constant.
* YouCantFightFate: No matter what, a Red Skies Crisis will occur and Barry will disappear in it.

!!!Pre-Savitar/original(?) timeline
* BeingGoodSucks: He stopped our Barry from saving their mom in order to prevent any more damage to the timeline -- until 2016 Barry decided to ignore his warning in a moment of weakness.
* EarlyBirdCameo: We first see him as a photograph in a future newspaper, sixteen episodes before we actually see him fighting the Reverse-Flash via flashbacks.
* FutureBadass: By 2024, not only is he head of the CCPD's CSI department, but he's also [[Franchise/JusticeLeagueOfAmerica helped found a team of superheroes]] and is implied to regularly travel through time.
* HeroicSacrifice: He saved himself as a boy from a threat that never happened, but since his past history was changed, he became a paradox and likely ceased to exist soon after, "replaced" by himself from the altered timeline.
* RankUp: He eventually becomes the head of the CCPD's CSI Division.
* SadisticChoice: He had to choose between saving his mom or himself as a boy from the murderous Thawne. Even when his alternate self (2015 Barry) arrives to save their mom, he gestures him to stop and to let things be.
* VictoriousChildhoodFriend: He's HappilyMarried to Iris in his time.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: We never see what happened to him after he whisked his younger self away from Eobard's clutches, though many theorize that the very moment Thawne killed Nora, this Flash ceased to exist, since in the original timeline, Barry grew up with both parents. Turns out this becomes a very important plot point in Season Five: He never comes back!

!!!Savitar Timeline
* AdaptationalHeroism: In Season Three, his status as a version of the Flash in a BadFuture matches that of the New 52 comics' Future Flash, but he remains a hero. It then gets complicated with the revelation that Savitar is actually a time remnant created by the main Future Barry.
* AlternateSelf: This future Barry is actually the future self of the present-day Barry's timeline, who traveled to 2024 two and a half months before the original future Barry went back to the past in the original timeline. The fate of the original timeline's Barry still appears to be RetGone.
* BarbarianLonghair: Future Barry's appearance is very unkempt, having bangs hanging down his face.
* BrokenHero: He's lost so much that he even loses faith in himself, to the point of warning his friends from the past not to trust him. When our Barry finally meets him by traveling to 2024, he gets to see just how much of a wreck his future self is.
* CivvieSpandex: He invokes the design of the New 52 Future Flash's blue-and-black suit at one point by wearing civilian clothing with the same colors. Subverted when he dons a bright red Flash suit and it turns out that ''Savitar'' has the show's take on the original costume.
* CreateYourOwnVillain: He created time remnants to try to stop Savitar only for the God of Speed to kill most of them. The surviving one would become Savitar.
* ComicBookMoviesDontUseCodenames: He isn't called Future Flash until "Cause and Effect". Cisco coins the codename to distinguish him from the present Barry and Savitar.
* DecompositeCharacter: His role as an evil future version of Barry and overall design are given to Savitar.
* EmptyShell: He's severely depressed from Iris' death, prompting him to seclude himself from the world.
* FutureFoil: Warm-hearted, optimistic Barry got quite the shock when he met his brooding, mentally broken counterpart.
* FutureMeScaresMe: Barry is troubled seeing himself in a future where he become cynical and miserable.
* HeartbrokenBadass: He's still grieving Iris' death nearly a decade later.
* InSpiteOfANail: Regardless of Flashpoint happening, he will still disappear in a "Red Skies Crisis" on April 25, 2024.
* MesACrowd: He claims to have used multiple time remnants against Savitar, only to lose most of them.
* MyFutureSelfAndMe: Present-day Barry get to meet his broken future self when he travels to the future.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero:
** He imprisoned Savitar in the Speed Force, which exists outside of time, allowing Savitar the chance to escape and get revenge on Past Barry. Still, he may not have had much choice.
** It's revealed that Savitar's entire existence is a StableTimeLoop [[CreateYourOwnVillain inadvertently started by Future Barry]]. While fighting Savitar, Barry created multiple time remnants to aid in the fight, only for all of them to get killed except for one. This surviving time remnant ended up becoming Savitar himself.
* NoodleIncident: His feud with Savitar is an even greater mystery. Turns out to be a StableTimeLoop. Barry created time remnants to stop Savitar only to have most of them killed -- the sole survivor became Savitar.
* PyrrhicVictory: This is the only version who didn't disappear on April 25, 2024, or at least was able to come back from it as he was able to record a message for Rip Hunter in 2056. However, he lost Iris and is very miserable in life as a result.
* TookALevelInCynic: Losing Iris severely depresses him.
* VictoriousChildhoodFriend: He's HappilyMarried to Iris in his time, until the aforementioned rewriting of history that leads to Savitar escaping.

!!!Post-Savitar timeline
* CloseEnoughTimeline: After Savitar's defeat, he seems to be back on his historical track as it was before Flashpoint.
* DisappearedDad: He was this to Nora when he disappeared in the Red Skies Crisis.
* LegallyDead: He disappears and never comes back.
* LongDeadBadass: He's been gone for thirty years during Nora's OriginStory. The world never forgets his heroics, though, as evidenced by the Flash museum.
* PresentAbsence: He's long gone by 2049, but his memories still haunt both Iris and Nora.
* UncertainDoom: He disappeared in the Red Skies Crisis, but it's never stated if it's fatal.
* VideoWills: He left a recorded message to Nora, which the latter eventually found.

!!!"Armageddon" Timeline
* BackFromTheDead: When Barry undid the Reverse-Flashpoint, his younger self's murder was undone too.
* DeathOfAChild: This version of Barry was murdered by Eobard Thawne.

!!! '''Species:''' Human
!!! '''Played By:''' Creator/CandicePatton
!!! '''Appearances:''' ''Series/{{The Flash|2014}}''

A renowned journalist and Barry's wife from the original(?) timeline before the Reverse-Flash changed history.

-> For tropes applying to her present day-self, see Characters/ArrowverseIrisWestAllen
----
* AlternateSelf: To our Iris.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, her fate and status are frequently changing.
* NervesOfSteel: In two timelines, she writes an entire article about her own husband's disappearance.
* RetGone:
** Barry undoing Flashpoint causes her to die literally in Savitar's hands in May of 2017, presumably even before she and Barry could get married due to the lack of any rings on her finger.
** Thankfully, the Savitar timeline version of her is negated after H.R. pulls a HeroicSacrifice and 2017 Iris herself killing Savitar.
** The post Savitar-timeline version of her is negated following the aftermath of Cicada's defeat.

!!!Pre-Savitar Timeline
* TheGhost: We never get to seer in the flesh via flash forwards or pics from the future.
* HappilyMarried: To Barry.
* VictoriousChildhoodFriend: She's HappilyMarried to Barry in her time.

!!!Savitar Timeline
* AbledInTheAdaptation: She's crippled in the comicbook version of the Future Flash storyline. Here, she's not because she suffered DeathByAdaptation instead.
* DeathByAdaptation: Iris is the wheelchair bound West in the Future Flash storyline in the comicbook while Wally is TheLostLenore. Here, it's the other way around.
* DecompositeCharacter: Her status as a wheelchair bound loved of Barry in the Future Flash storyline in the comicbook went to Wally in the show.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: Barry cradles her corpse after Savitar kills her.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Courtesy of Savitar.
* TheLostLenore: Barry is so affected by her death years later that he forgoes superheroics and distances himself from Joe and his friends.

!!!Post-Savitar Timeline
* ActionMom: Iris continues to build her media empire, The Central City Citizen, and to report on crisis in Central City, which presumably at least partially places her in the heart of the action due to her investigations, while raising Nora.
* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: The present version of Iris is warm, happy, eager to work with Team Flash, and was willing to call out Barry for hiding his secret identity from her. This version is jaded, depressed, is no longer an active force against metahuman criminals, and hid Barry's nature as the Flash from Nora. The one thing they have in common is their love for Nora.
* ControlFreak: Averted. According to Nora, Future Iris is a very critical and nagging mother, whom Nora could never satisfy, a fact which she voices to both Iris and Cecile, in the present. However, Nora had a lot of internalized anger and devastation due to her father's disappearance, which she projects onto her mother, thus resulting in her painting a false portrayal of her mother in her mind. Future Iris is, in fact, a caring and fiercely loving mother.
** In "Memorabilia," while trapped in Nora's memories, Barry realizes that Nora's memories of Iris being controlling and distant are false memories.
---> '''Barry (to Iris)''': That bad mom that Nora told us about? She doesn't even exist in any timeline. I told you you had to be different in the future, but I was wrong. You don't have to change who you are. You don't even need to change the name of your newspaper. I know any future with you in it is gonna be a good one.
* DespairEventHorizon: Losing Barry was this to her, because while the aftermath of "Memorabilia" is unexpectedly realistic, evidencing that while Iris is an extremely loving mother, Iris still sheltered Nora and found it difficult to talk about both her life and about Barry to Nora.
* GoodParents: While she makes difficult parenting choices, as any parent does (hers chiefly being that she shelters Nora and is extremely protective of her), Iris raises Nora with the utmost love and care, and is completely understanding of Nora's emotional turmoil over losing her father.
--> '''Future Iris''': Oh no, you dropped your toy.\
'''Nora''': I just wanted to see the museum.\
'''Future Iris''': I know, honey, but you ran away. I didn't know where you went. I was afraid you could've gotten hurt.\
'''Nora''': You said that the museum reminded you of dad, 'cause dad was the Flash's number one fan. So, I wanted to see it 'cause I love the Flash too. It's not fair.\
'''Future Iris''': I know, honey. I know it's not fair. I love you, Nora. Your dad loved you too. So, so much.
* FantasyForbiddingMother:
** Averted, because while she put a power-dampening chip in Nora to prevent her from using her speed, she did this while Cicada, a serial killer who targets meta-humans is at large, and also to prevent her daughter from suffering the same fate as her husband.
** Played more straight as Nora became an adult and Iris became much more disapproving of her daughter's obsession with the Flash Museum.
--> '''Iris''' ''(to Nora)'': I've already lost so much. I couldn't lose you too.
* MamaBear: Iris is extremely protective of Nora. When Nora is struck by Godspeed's lightning and is knocked out, Iris, who is in Coast City working on a story, calls Lia forty-seven times.
* MyBelovedSmother: When Nora ignores her calls in 2049, she calls the Flash Museum's front desk to get Nora's attention. This is not an uncommon occurrence.
* NotQuiteTheRightThing: This version of Iris genuinely thought that she was protecting Nora from the problems of the Speed Force caused by the Crisis. Her plan exposes her to that danger in the first place, and it ultimately culminated with her erasure from existence.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Her sheltering of Nora and her decision to place the power-dampening chip in Nora backfires horribly, as it is partially why Nora is easy prey for Eobard Thawne.
* OlderThanTheyLook:
** The first glimpse of Future Iris is in Nora's memories from when she was around 10 or 11, which would mean that Future Iris was in her mid-forties, at least, in those memories. However, she does not look like she aged a day from her present day counterpart.
** In 2049, Iris is well into her sixties, but aside from a few gray streaks in her hair and some barely visible wrinkles on her face, she is still as youthful as ever.
* ParentsAsPeople: While she's love her daughter and just wanted to protected her it's obvious she went too far since Nora's emotional maturity seems stunted from her mom's overprotectiveness. Not to mention refusing to tell Nora about heritage made her easy prey for Eobard Thawne.
* SilverFox: She retains her past self's beauty in her sixties.
* TookALevelInJerkass: With Nora's comments on her and the reveal that she put a dampening chip on her, it was implied that this Iris became more brash. While the dampening chip was still morally ambiguous at best, it is subverted. She became colder, but she retains her usual kindness.

!!!"Armageddon" Timeline
* InSpiteOfANail:
** This Iris still became a writer who posted stories about the Flash.
** She still fell in love with a Flash.
* MayDecemberRomance: She ended up hooking up with the much older ([[DeadPersonImpersonation looking]]) Thawne.
* YouKilledMyFather: She mistakenly believes the main timeline's Barry was the one who killed Joe, when it was actually done by the man who seduced her.

!!!Savitar Timeline
* CareerEndingInjury: Savitar breaks his spine, and since he lacks a proper HealingFactor unlike the other speedsters, this effectively ends his superhero career.
* CompositeCharacter: Downplayed. Since Future Iris was killed by Savitar, he takes her use of a wheelchair.
* DisabledInTheAdaptation: Wally is not paraplegic in the Future Flash storyline. It's because he is SparedByTheAdaptation and the crippled storyline originally belonged to Iris, who was TheLostLenore here instead.
* FutureLoser: PlayedForDrama; Once a promising speedster, he's now catatonic and stuck in a wheelchair.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: Savitar showed him ''something'' which left him a broken and catatonic wreck. The most likely explanation being that he revealed he was really Barry.
* HeroicBSOD: Whatever he saw the night Savitar broke his spine, it's left him catatonic for seven years.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He's barely aged despite being in his late twenties.
* RageAgainstTheMentor: Well, Savitar ''is'' Barry, after all.
* RetGone: This version of him is negated thanks to Iris surviving and Savitar's defeat.
* RevengeBeforeReason: As justified as his reason is, he should've considered the fact that Savitar is ''way'' more powerful than him before engaging him in combat. As expected, [[CareerEndingInjury it did not end well for Wally]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After Savitar killed his sister, Wally went apeshit on him. It went about as well as you could expect.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Wally is the victim in the Future Flash storyline in the comicbook while Iris is the wheelchair bound one. Here, it's the other way around.
* TheSpeechless: He's no longer capable of speaking by 2024.
* YouKilledMyFather: Immediately after Savitar killed his sister, Wally went on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge and engaged him in combat.

* {{Retcon}}: "Nora" indicated he was a CoolUncle telling Nora stories about his time as Kid Flash, but "Godspeed" implies that he died on the Crisis[[note]]Main Wally did, but was restored in the New Multiverse[[/note]].
* UncertainDoom: "Godspeed" seems to indicate that at least in this timeline he died or was trapped on the Speed Force during the Crisis, but that is not certain.

* OlderThanTheyLook: He's barely aged despite being in his late forties or mid-fifties.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: Iris is dead and even though Wally is still alive, he's essentially a vegetable.
* RetGone: This version of him is negated thanks to Iris surviving and Savitar's defeat.

* AlternateSelf: To our Cisco.
* AnArmAndALeg: Killer Frost destroyed his hands.
* ArtificialLimbs: He replaces his destroyed hands with robotic ones.
* BeardOfSorrow: He has a beard shadow to show that he has lost his powers and that the group was dissolved.
* BroughtDownToNormal: Losing his hands made him unable to use his metahuman powers. And despite gaining ArtificialLimbs, he cannot use his powers the same way.
* CareerEndingInjury: Loses both his hands during a battle with Killer Frost in the past, thus ending his superhero career.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, his fate and status are frequently changing.
* DisabledInTheAdaptation: Vibe is never crippled in the comicbooks.
* FightingYourFriend: His battle against Killer Frost is what caused the loss of his hands.
* FutureLoser: PlayedForDrama; Once a promising {{Seer|s}}, he's now BroughtDownToNormal due to losing his hands.
* GeniusCripple: He is good at deductions even after being unable to use most of his Vibe powers.
* KnightInSourArmor: He knows exactly how bleak things are, yet he never loses hope and soldiers on.
* MessyHair: Unlike his present day self, his hair is in a ponytail but is pulled in an unruly manner.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He's barely aged despite being in his mid-thirties.

* GoingNative: He's well accustomed to Earth-1 by this time.

!!Pre-Crisis
* AbledInTheAdaptation: Roy famously lost his right arm against Prometheus in the comicbooks. While Present Roy appeared half a season after Prometheus' defeat, him still having his arms by 2040 secures that he was never mutilated by another character.
* TheAloner: Before William found him, he's been living in the ruins of Lian Yu for God knows how long.
* GrumpyOldMan: Downplayed. He's not easily agitated like the common examples of this trope but he's constantly scowling.
* HappyEndingOverride: Before his reappearance in the flash-forwards, the last time the audience sees Roy is when he went with his OneTrueLove Thea and Nyssa Al-Ghul to destroy the remaining Lazarus Pits in the world. The fact that he's being TheAloner in the ruins of an island where his mentor suffered heavily implies that something ''really'' bad happened.
* HourglassPlot: He was Oliver's protegee, now he's the mentor of Oliver's son William.
* NoodleIncident: Sometime before his reappearance in 2040, he and the later Team Arrow additions had a falling out. He also somehow ended up on Lian Yu before William found him.

* OlderThanTheyLook: She hasn't really aged that much in twenty years.

----
* AdaptationalNameChange: In the comics Oliver's child is named Connor Hawke, but here he is called William Clayton. A version of Connor appeared in ''Series/LegendsOfTomorrow'', though not related to Oliver by blood. Another version of Connor later appears in ''Arrow'', but he is revealed to be Ben Turner's son.
* AdaptationalWimp: Downplayed. While he finally TookALevelInBadass, he's still nowhere near as competent as Oliver's son in the comics Connor Hawke. Of his group consisting of himself, Roy, Zoe and Dinah, he is the ''least'' combat-capable, instead taking up more of the [[TheSmartGuy technical skills]] of his adoptive mother, Felicity. This later turns out to be a case of DecompositeCharacter as the physical traits went to Mia instead.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Being the team's hacker, he is the Brains to Mia's Brawn.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, his fate and status are frequently changing.
* DecompositeCharacter: He's Oliver's illegitimate son, just like the comic's Connor Hawke, not to mention the fact that he shares Connor's [[AmbiguouslyGay potential sexuality]]. But the name Connor Hawke and taking up the Green Arrow mantle, not to mention Connor's ethnicity, goes to a different character, who appeared in ''Series/LegendsOfTomorrow''. A different (though played by the same actor) Connor Hawke later appears as Ben Turner's biological son adopted by Diggle, while the previous Connor was retconned to be coming from Earth-16. Then even further down the line, the status of being a [[LegacyCharacter legacy Green Arrow]] goes to his half-sister Mia.
* DecoyProtagonist: William is initially the protagonist of the flashforwards, but after Mia is revealed to be Oliver and Felicity's daughter, the narrative gradually shifts to focus on her, with Mia effectively becoming the main character of the flashforwards in Season 8. William, fortunately, survives the shift in focus.
* DistaffCounterpart: He is like a male Felicity, as he is more oriented towards technology and science than to physical combat.
* FreudianExcuse: Averted. While he might be disappointed by how Oliver and Felicity (ostensibly) abandoned him when he was 12, he has no issues with them whatsoever and still considers them his parents. He does not hesitate to hug Oliver after he becomes time-displaced to 2019, unlike Mia, who pointedly refuses one even though she has far fewer issues with Oliver than him.
* FutureBadass: He is now capable of badassery.
* HeroicBastard: His parents were never married and his mother made him believe that his father died before he was born.
* MissionControl: He mostly takes up Felicity's role for Future Team Arrow.
* NomDeMom: He still uses his biological mother's surname by 2040.
* NonActionGuy: His expertise is tech, he leaves the fighting to his friends.
* ParentalAbandonment: He mentions that he never saw his father and stepmother again after the latter sends him away to boarding school to escape Ricardo Diaz's wrath. The truth is more complicated. He did see them again, but was so angry about being sent away without being asked he became disillusioned with Oliver's lifestyle and decided he wanted to live with his maternal grandparents instead so he could have something of a normal life. His grandparents who blamed Oliver for Samantha's death intercepted any and all messages Oliver and Felicity tried to send him, essentially turning William against them by giving him the impression they didn't want him anymore.
* PromotionToOpeningTitles: Added to the opening credits in the final season.
* TheProtagonist: The central focus of the Season 7 flashforwards.
* RaceLift: His comics counterpart, Connor Hawke is of mixed race, but William is Caucasian. The Connor Hawke who appears in ''Legends of Tomorrow'' is mixed-race (being Diggle and Lyla's son), while the Connor Hawke who appears in ''Arrow'' is simply black.
* RaisedByGrandparents: When he was 12, he was sent away to live with his maternal grandparents, who had been raising him since.
* StraightGay: He mentions that he has an ex-boyfriend and outright says that he is gay, but isn't shown to have stereotypically "gay" qualities.
* StrangerInAFamiliarLand: He and Roy return to see a vastly different Star City from what they remember.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: He looks similar to his father Oliver, with a similar face structure.
* StudentAndMasterTeam: He has this dynamic with Roy, with William filling the student role.

----
!!In General
* AdaptationDyeJob: In the comics, he's a dark-skinned blonde. Here, his hair is black.
* TheBusCameBack: A meta example. After his actor made his last appearance in the very first season of ''Series/LegendsOfTomorrow'', he makes a surprising return during the future storyline of ''Series/{{Arrow}}'' Season 7 as a different version of Connor, fighting side by side with Blackstar.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, his fate and status are frequently changing.
* DecompositeCharacter: The Connor Hawke of the comics (Oliver's biological son who takes up his mantle as Green Arrow) has been adapted to no less than ''four'' characters here. In the show, Oliver's son is named William Clayton and is not adept at fighting, being an IT specialist. A Connor Hawke who has the Green Arrow moniker appears in a ''Legends of Tomorrow'' episode, but he is revealed to be JJ, Diggle and Lyla's son. This Connor is later retconned to be coming from Earth-16, while the Connor Hawke of Earth-1 is revealed to be Ben Turner's biological son adopted by Diggle. Finally, this Connor doesn't adopt the Green Arrow moniker; instead, it's Oliver's daughter Mia (based on the comics' Mia Dearden, who herself has been adapted to two other characters in the show: Thea and to a lesser extent Roy) who does.
* NomDeMom: Hawke is his mother's surname. He doesn't use "Turner" because his father is/was a criminal.
* PromotionToOpeningTitles: Added to the opening credits in the final season.
* UnrelatedInTheAdaptation: He is Oliver's illegitimate son in the comics, but that role was already filled by William Clayton here. Instead, he's Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger's son in this continuity (with Diggle and Lyla later serving as adoptive parents).

!!Pre-Crisis
* CainAndAbel: With his adopted brother, JJ, who joined Deathstroke's gang. Initially, he wants to reform him, but after his brother [[spoiler: kills Zoe, he doesn't hesitate to try and kill him in return]].
* ComicBookMoviesDontUseCodenames: He is yet to become Oliver's LegacyCharacter. In fact, he doesn't seem to adopt the Green Arrow moniker in the show, as Mia, Oliver's actual child, is geared up for the role instead.
* FriendOnTheForce: He is an undercover agent of Knightwatch in this timeline.
* HappilyAdopted: The Connor Hawke seen in Arrow Season 7 FlashForward isn't John's biological son. He's actually Bronze Tiger (Ben Turner)'s son of all people.
* TheLeader: Future Team Arrow defaults to him as this as he's the most experienced.
* NotWearingTights: Unlike Earth-16 Connor/JJ, he doesn't have a costume. At least not yet.
* ParentalAbandonment: Diggle and Lyla's fate in 2040 is yet to be revealed.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: With Ben Turner / Bronze Tiger, who becomes his father in this version.
* ShipTease: He and Mia seems to be an item.
* SpinOffspring: He is John Diggle's adopted son, while his biological father is Ben Turner.

* EleventhHourRanger: She's summoned near the end of the Season 7 {{Flash Forward}}s because things are not looking great for the heroes.
* BetaOutfit: She's wearing Earth-1 Laurel's Black Canary suit again instead of her new one seen in ''Arrow'' Season 8, which ''may'' be an indicator of the future changing.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, her fate and status are frequently changing. Unlike most characters here, however, she could avoid this fate since she's from an AlternateUniverse.
* DynamicEntry: She makes her debut Canary Crying a {{Mook}} to save Mia.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: She's the Black Canary from an AlternateUniverse.
* LegacyCharacter: She inherited the name and costume of her late Earth-1 counterpart who was the original Black Canary, though she instead operates on her home universe.
* LivingLegend: Two-fold. She's still a tremendous fighter despite her age. The fact that she is seen with {{Red Shirt}}s following her and has been the Black Canary for two decades at this point cements this. And as Mia mistakes her as the original Laurel, it also means she's the original Black Canary as far as most people on Earth-1 is concerned.
* MysticalWhiteHair: She has [[SuperScream a sonic scream]] and has white hair. Whether the white hair is supposedly her actualhair that whitened due to aging or if she's wearing the wig worn by Earth-1 Laurel is never stated.
* OldSuperhero: She is in her mid-fifties yet she is just as competent as she was during her prime years.
* OlderAndWiser: She gave words of wisdom to the HotBlooded Mia based from her own CharacterDevelopment.
-->''You still have a long way to go to prove that you're a hero. Take it from someone who knows how hard it can be, and don't screw it up.''
* OlderThanTheyLook: She hasn't really aged that much in twenty years. The only seeming indicator of her age is the white hair, which turned out be the same wig her late counterpart originally used while in costume which her present day self never used.
* ReformedCriminal: The reason why she's now a superhero is for atonement.
* RetGone: Several clues are present that indicates that she is being erased, namely her past self wearing a different Black Canary suit. Mia, Connor and William traveling back to the past, Laurel not participating in Crisis despite being name dropped by Oliver in Barry's VideoWill to Nora, and finally present Laurel herself traveling to the future solidifies a future Laurel from being created.
* SuperiorSuccessor: She's far stronger and skilled than the original Laurel and even defeated the latter's handpicked successor multiple times in the past.

The daughter of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak, who became a vigilante known as Blackstar. Post-Crisis, she follows in her late father's footsteps as the next Green Arrow.
----
!!In General
* AscendedExtra:
** She gets increasingly more focus until eventually she takes over from William as the central character of the flashforwards.
** She was also supposed to star in the ''Series/{{Arrow}}'' sequel series, ''Green Arrow and the Canaries'', as a main character alongside Dinah and Laurel, effectively inheriting her father's mantle. Unfortunately, the Network decided to pass on the series.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Being the trained martial artist, she is the Brawn to William's Brains.
* CompositeCharacter: Has the codename of Blackstar, but her name is Mia while also being related to the Green Arrow which takes after Mia Dearden (a.k.a. Speedy who was already adapted into Thea Queen).
* DeadGuyJunior: She's named after her paternal grandmother, who was killed pre-Crisis.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: Ultimately becomes this of the season seven {{flash forward}}s, alongside William her paternal half-brother. By season eight, the narrative focuses more on her before she was supposed to lead her own spin-off show.
* DisappearedDad: She never grew up with Oliver in her life, as Oliver disappears with the Monitor when Mia was still in her infancy and ultimately dies in Crisis. Though Pre-Crisis, she gets a chance to reunite with her father before he dies.
* GenderFlip: She seems to modeled after Connor Hawke from the comics despite her name and the fact that Connor also exists in the same universe, as Oliver's child to take the Green Arrow mantle.
* GenerationXerox:
** William points out how much she is like their father. In general, Mia is like Oliver during the early seasons of ''Arrow'': hotheaded, rude, and does not want other people's help if she can.
** Like her father, she forms a strong relationship with members of the Diggle and Ramirez family. In the former case, the relationship with Connor seems to be the romantic variant, instead of platonic.
* GeniusBruiser: While lacking the programming skills of her brother and mother, Mia is still exceptionally smart as demonstrated with her quick ability to solve a Rubik's cube.
* HotBlooded: Mia inherited Oliver's aggression and temperament, but not much of his self-discipline, making her prone to acting on impulse without considering the consequences.
* MsFanservice: She's a very beautiful woman, and her tanktop shows her toned body.
* NeverGotToSayGoodbye: Subverted. While Mia was present when Oliver dies the ''first'' time, she is not present when perishes for good the second time as the Spectre. Though the Post-Crisis version of her does get brought back in time by Sara Lance so she can attend her father's funeral.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Possibly the shortest Team Arrow member other than Thea, but can kick ass just as well as her father.
* PromotionToOpeningTitles: Added to the opening credits in the final season.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: One of the things Laurel tells her after saving her from the Zeta is how much Mia takes after Felicity in appearance.
* WomanChild: Downplayed. While Mia is in her early twenties, she often acts like an angsty, selfish teenager.

!!Pre-Crisis
* ActionGirl: She's introduced participating in an underground fight club. She is also able to fight and match Dinah. Considering that her father is the Green Arrow, and that she was trained in combat by Nyssa Al-Ghul, this should come as no surprise.
* AggressiveCategorism: She ''really'' doesn't like vigilantes.
* AmbiguouslyEvil: In her first few appearances, her allegiance is hard to pin down and it's implied she may have been involved with whatever happened to Felicity or the bomb plot. [[GoodAllAlong She's not]], and is more-or-less a "[[AntiHero heroic-ish]]" character, though veering somewhat close to TrueNeutral.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Despite being sent back in time and having dealt with metahumans, magic, and alternate Earths, she has a hard time believing [[Series/Lucifer2016 Lucifer]] is ''the'' Lucifer when she meets him.
* CharacterDevelopment: She debuts as basically [[LikeFatherLikeSon Season-1 Oliver]], a rude jerk who constantly rejects other people's advice. After two seasons and many trials, she is still a headstrong and strong-willed person, but is more willing to listen to others and is a more pleasant person in general.
* DramaticIrony: Hates the remnants of Team Arrow, since she believes that "vigilantes were the death of Star City". Yet she's the daughter of two of them -- Oliver and Felicity.
* FreudianExcuse: Growing up without her father and with a mother focused on heroics left Mia with a lot of issues, especially where her parents and vigilantes are concerned.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Resents her parents for being vigilantes but is visibly in awe of Laurel upon meeting her in person.
* ItsAllAboutMe: A lot of resentment towards vigilantes is fueled by how Oliver and Felicity couldn't always be there for her twenty-four seven. Despite that Felicity was a very doting and caring mother, if flawed.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She is very rude and condescending towards William, Dinah and the others, especially the latter for being a vigilante, blaming them for the death of Star City and that they got what they deserved. She later comes around however, becoming part of the new Team Arrow, being determined to save lives. Just don't expect her to be nice about it.
* KidFromTheFuture: She gets sent back in time to Star City 2019 and meets her father before he dies.
* LeeroyJenkins: Mia's plans tend to go no further than rushing in headlong with no thought to strategy. She has a bad habit of doing this against larger and stronger opponents or vastly superior numbers, which sees her get beaten down by a Galaxy One soldier [[spoiler:and later gets Zoe killed by JJ]].
* NomDeMom: Like her half-brother, she does not use the Queen name. This changes post-Crisis.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: She's only addressed by her CodeName until she reveals herself as Felicity's daughter Mia. Even "Mia" itself is only a nickname; her first name is Moira.
* RetGone: Subverted. This version of her is replaced by Mia Queen, who later regains the memories of herself in this past life courtesy of a time traveling Laurel Lance.
* SecretLegacy: Felicity raised Mia in total secrecy, aware of how much danger she attracts by simply being Oliver's daughter. She did not permit Mia to go to Star City, so nigh-nobody knows about her existence. In fact, she did not even inform her friends, save Diggle, Nyssa (whom she invited to train her in self-defense) and Laurel.
* ShipTease: Seems to be an item with Connor Hawke. Post-Crisis she actually dated John Diggle Jr who eventually proposed to her.
* SleevesAreForWimps: She's introduced wearing a white tanktop.
* ThickerThanWater: She gets along with ''very'' few people, but very gradually warms up to William, blatantly admitting the only reason being that they are half-siblings. Likewise, it's revealed she only recently ran away from home due to strongly disliking her mother's vigilante activities and keeping them a secret from her, but despite the relative bad blood, it's very clear she still loves her mother.

!!Post-Crisis
* AffirmativeActionLegacy: Succeeded her father as the Green Arrow.
* LegacyCharacter: Post-Crisis, Mia becomes the Green Arrow.
* OfficialCouple: Post-Crisis, Mia is dating John Diggle Jr who proposes to her.
* {{Socialite}}: This is what Mia became Post-Crisis due to being raised with her father's wealth.
* TookALevelInKindness: Post-Crisis Mia is a much kinder and sociable person than she was before the Crisis, as she did not not endure as many challenges and hardships as she did before, other than not having her father around. Unlike Pre-Crisis, she grew up close with William, which obviously impacted how she views life. Even when obtaining her past life memories, she isn't as aggressive as she was. That said she still is willing to let Eobard Thawne die instead of saving him.

----
* CallingTheOldManOut: On the receiving end by his daughter.
* CynicismCatalyst: He became disillusioned with his vigilante legacy, believing he can do more good as the Glades' mayor and has scorned helping the rest of Star City, and refuses to help his old friends.
* DealWithTheDevil: Made a deal with Keven Dale, a powerful businessman, who helped him become the mayor, but who also (to Rene's horror) plans on destroying Star City.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite his estrangement with his former friends, he seemed to be taken back by the reveal that Felicity was apparently murdered and tries to uncover the circumstances.
* OlderThanHeLooks: Doesn't look like a man in his fifties at all.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: [[spoiler: His daughter Zoe gets tragically killed by Deathstroke.]]
* SwappedRoles: In the future, Rene is the mayor of the Glades who wants to uphold the law and is opposed to vigilantes, while Dinah is a vigilante. This is an inversion of their initial positions in the Season 7 present-day narrative this season, where Rene is the one who wants to continue playing vigilante, while Dinah is the SCPD Captain who wants to uphold the law and opposes vigilantism.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: He is estranged from his former vigilante friends. They eventually reconcile and he later even takes part of the fall for the destruction of the Glade's wall.

----
* AdaptationalNationality: Like his father, he's American in the comics.
* AdaptationNameChange: In the comics, Grant Wilson goes by Ravager. Here, he succeeds his father as Deathstroke.
* AgeLift: Maybe. If Pre-Flashpoint Grant wasn't OlderThanTheyLook (like many other future characters), this version of Grant is a whole lot older, judging by his present day counterpart.
* TheBadGuyWins: Much like Earth-16, he had conquered Star City in the future.
* CardBoardPrison: No matter how many times he was imprisoned, he always escaped.
* ChildSoldiers: Given that he successfully conquered Star City in his teens, it is likely that he has been training at a very young age.
* ContinuitySnarl: Due to constant meddling with time by both the various speedsters and the Legends, his fate and status are frequently changing.
* TheCorrupter: He was the one who "inspired" JJ.
* DecompositeCharacter: The Ravager persona got given to Isabel Rochev, Slade's underling in the present day.
* GreaterScopeVillain: He never actually appears in the Season 7 flashforwards, but was largely responsible for the ruined state of 2040 Star City.
* LegacyCharacter: Succeeded Slade as Deathstroke.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: According to Connor, Grant's EatTheRich rhetoric is little more than a way to get support for his crusade to conquer the city.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Slade only mentioned a boy named Joe Wilson as his son. Justified because until 2017, Slade had no idea he even existed. His wife kept him a secret because he didn't want him to follow in his father's or brother's footsteps -- Slade only found about him when Joe told him the truth.
* SpinOffspring: He is Slade Wilson's son.
* TeensAreMonsters: It is stated that he successfully conquered Star City on 2031. Given that his counterpart in Earth-16 appears to be in his late-20s to early 30s in 2046, then he must be at least 13 when he did that.
* TwoFirstNames: Per the Creator/DCComics norm.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Grant's EatTheRich rhetoric made him a folk hero to the downtrodden of Star City, allowing him to turn the Deathstrokes into a city-wide threat.
