[[caption-width-right:298:Ranze (left) and Rinnosuke (right)]]

Twins Ranze and Rinnosuke are respectively the Vice President and Secretary of the school, assisting Gakuto in enforcing the rules.

The twins play Flowerfang Decks, a Plant deck based on ninja. Ranze's deck focus on swarm tactics while Rinnosuke's use destruction effects and burn damage.
----
* AmazonBrigade: Ranze's Flowerflang monsters are kunoichi.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Played straight, then inverted. Rinnosuke occassionaly becomes one when teasing Ranze, but their roles are reversed when Ranze’s CrushFilter antics get out of hand and he has to snap her out of it.
* AscendedExtra: Originally just Gakuto's assistants, Goha 6th upgrades them, especially Ranze, to part of main cast for the arc.
** {{Deconstructed|CharacterArchetype}} with Ranze. After receiving additional focus during the Goha 6th Arc, she starts to imagine herself in scenarios where she is the main protagonist, eventually deciding to leave Gakuto’s service so she could strike out on her own.
* BeleagueredAssistant: Not to Gakuto, who is as hardworking as them, but towards Romin when the three of them try to help her disastrous cooking attempts, resorting to swapping in the items she needs. Later played straight with Rinnosuke towards Gakuto when he tries to evolve the Sogetsu style into modernity.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Ranze is eventually revealed to be this. Her "Ranze Eyes" delusions heavily skew her perception of reality.
* DeadpanSnarker: Ranze is shown to be rather snarky, and was much more critical of Romin's terrible attempts to cook.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: They start off basically the same except for gender, but in the Goha 6th Arc, they begin to diverge with their cynicism and idealism, overall loyalty, personalities, and playstyle. [[spoiler:In the Team Battle Royal arc, Ranze even leaves Gakuto's service while Rinnosuke remains behind]].
* DubNameChange: To Rayne and Rino in the English version of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royal''.
* {{Expy}}: They are similar to Tsukikage and Hikage as both pairs are sibling Ninja duelists who use the same deck and even have one sibling, (Ranze and Tsukikage), gain more prominence over the other.
* HalfIdenticalTwins: Ranze and Rinnosuke are both bespectacled with similar features and hairstyles, the only difference being Rinnosuke having a slightly darker hair color.
* HonestAdvisor: Despite their loyalty, they are willing to call out Gakuto when they believe he is shirking his duties for his interest in "Rush Duels", and Ranze even attempts to circumvent his orders in the Duel when he is hesitant about playing all out.
* IChooseToStay: Inverted with Ranze. Even after coming back to her senses following her duel with Gakuto, she still chooses to leave his service, feeling as if she has no right to stand by his side anymore [[spoiler: and began serving Neiru instead]]. She later returns to Gakuto’s side after he impresses her in his duel against Neiru.
* LadyOfWar: Ranze is an elegant duelist ninja, having the same sort of traditional Japanese music playing while she duels as Gakuto does.
* LegacyOfService: Their family has served the Sogetsu family as ninja for generations.
* {{Ninja}}: Aside from their Flower Fang deck, they serve as such to Gakuto, even doing the ninja run on the way to the Training Camp.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Despite his serious nature, Rinnosuke isn't above acting like an AnnoyingYoungerSibling to tease Ranze for her crush on Yuga and is later shown to have a CrushFliter like his sister, only he doesn’t let it get out of hand.
* OnlyOneName: Their surnames are unknown, [[SubvertedTrope until episode 29]], which is Nanahoshi based on the dueling style.
* PetalPower: Despite being Plant-types, Ranze's monsters appear humanoid, but attack with various flower-based attacks.
* RecurringElement: The Ninja duelists of the series - though unlike previous Ninja duelists, their decks are Plants instead of Warriors.
* SerialRomeo: Ranze apparently gets crushes really easily, to Rinnosuke's frustration.
* SingleMindedTwins: Subverted, while both of them have the same strict personality and UndyingLoyalty towards Gakuto, they are later shown to be quite different: Ranze is sarcastic and more cynical towards Yuga and Co, despite her crush on Yuga and tends to be delusional about her love life, while Rinnosuke is more upbeat and down to earth, and even though he can be similar to his sister in his delusions, he is still more realistic.
* StalkerWithACrush: Ranze is this for Yuga, she even has a secret observational journal about him. It is later revealed she has a total of 73 Journals from other crushes she has observed!
* StellarName: Their surname, Nanahoshi means "seven stars".
* StoicSpectacles: Both of them wear glasses to go with their level-headed personas.
* TakingYouWithMe: Rinnosuke ends his duel against his sister with a DRAW.
* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: [[spoiler: Ranze becomes this to Neiru, trying to become his personal agent, but he keeps trying to get her to go home instead.]]
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: Ranze, when she gets a crush on both Yuuga and Galient, complete with a CrushFilter and ImaginaryLoveTriangle, with Rinnosuke trying to break her out of it before she humiliates herself.
* TooImportantToWalk: Like Gakuto, both Ranze and Rinnosuke have someone else hold and Set their cards for them; Rinnosuke does it for Ranze during her duel against Galient, and Gakuto tricks Luke into doing it for Rinnosuke in his duel against Ranze.
* UndyingLoyalty: The pair uphold Gakuto in high regard, and rarely question his authority as StudentCouncilPresident. They also cheer for him during his duels, and swear that if Gakuto dies, they will die with him so he does not have to perish alone. [[spoiler: Ranze starts to question this, her crush on Galient making her duel against Yuga and Co on his behalf and her dueling Gakuto to strike out on her own, and leaves to try to make Neiru her new master before eventually returning to Gakuto’s side]].

[[folder:The Newspaper Club]]
!!The Newspaper Club (Bakuro Shinjitsu, Masaru, and Nico)
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Tomoya Yamatao (Bakuro), Kentaro Kumagari (Masaru), Saki Yasui (Nico)
[[quoteright:100:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bakuroshinjitsu.png]]
[[caption-width-right:100:Bakuro Shinjitsu]]

A trio of aspiring young journalists led by Bakuro Shinjitsu. The group is infamous among the student body for its sensationalist and heavily biased articles, but the fact that it distributes them through print makes their newspaper one of the few information outlets that cannot be directly controlled by the primarily digital Goha Corp.

Bakuro plays a Reporter Deck of machines based on printing materials.
----
* BerserkButton: The usually quiet and dour Bakuro freaks out and has a drastic shift in personality whenever the mere possibility of his newspaper being discontinued pops up.
* CameraFiend: Nico, who constantly takes pictures of everyone as the paper's photographer, and usually adds that they're for something demeaning.
* CuteMachines: Delivery Machine Whirr, whose hologram panics when it is destroyed by Luke's Dragon. Toughroid significantly less so.
* DaEditor: Bakuro is the chief of the Newspaper Club, though oddly for this trope, hangs out in the background and lets his underlings do their own thing.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Upon being defeated by Luke, Bakuro comes to enjoy "Rush Dueling" and they write a proper article for "Rush Dueling", [[spoiler:along with a ridiculous one of Luke being King at his request]].
* TheDividual: Symbiotic version. They have varying traits but work in tandem as one, though with Bakuro the most prominent due to being the Duelist. His defeat serves as the reformation of the paper as a whole.
* TheFace: Masaru serves as one for the Newspaper club as the reporter, therefore the protagonists are shocked when Bakuro is revealed to be the chief, as before he had been the note taker.
* HypocriticalHumor: Bakuro's primary reason for trying to discredit "Rush Duels" is that he sees them as so easy and simple to understand when he, someone who has a hard time remembering things, can pull off massive plays that would otherwise be difficult for him in regular Duels. This doesn't stop him from greatly enjoying himself when he puts Luke on the ropes.
* ImmoralJournalist: Before the protagonists set them straight. Masaru and Nico still have shades of this with their questions for Tiger during her Duel with Zomyoji, and are yelled into the sky both times. Bakuro however has shown to instead be a noble IntrepidReporter
* IntrepidReporter: Bakuro after becoming much more kind, even standing up to Hunt due to the latter's greed and jerkassy.
* MythologyGag: Bakuro's ace monster is News Flash Machine Toughroid, similar to [[Anime/YugiohGX Syrus's roids]], and his deck's monsters are living machines like them.
* SchoolNewspaperNewsHound: Invoked by Yuga, since the print media is a good way to avoid Goha Corp's censoring. Luke is skeptical at first, but their paper is surprisingly influential among their classmates.
* SmugSnake: Bakuro, due to considering "Rush Duels" rather childlike, is condescending towards Luke during their Duel, even mocking how easy it is. He is however, still a difficult opponent for Luke, and proved capable of summoning three copies of his ace monster. Averted later, where he grows out of it.
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler: Later in the run, Bakuro acquires a Fusion ace, Lightning Speed, the Rumbling Report Warship, and uses it to take down Hunt and his Maximum Monster.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: By the Goha Employee Arc, Bakuro has become a noble IntrepidReporter that stands up to Hunt for his greedy, cruel acts.
* TrapMaster: Bakuro plays a noticeable amount of Trap Cards that hamper and wreck the opponent.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yoshio Atachi (Yosh Imimi)]]
!!Yoshio Atachi
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TakumaNagatsuka (JP), Creator/MarcThompson (EN, as Yosh) Henry Mason (EN, as Good Yosh the Overcrusher)
[[quoteright:102:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yoshio_8.png]]

Mimi's son and a fourth-grader of Goha Seventh who loves ''Good Max'', a Henshin show based on ''Film/MadMax''.

He plays a Beast Gear World deck, featuring post-apocalyptic Beast-Warriors.
----
* AmbiguouslyAbsentParent: He lives with his mother Mimi, but his father is nowhere to be seen.
* TheApunkalypse: Beast Gear World is based heavily on this, and Yoshio even watches a ''Film/MadMax''-based show.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: The youngest of the recurring characters, being two years under Yuga and Co.
* BadassBiker: All his monsters are dogs that ride motorbikes.
* BeastMan: His monsters are all Beast-Warriors.
* CoolBike: Despite actually being a tricycle, it managed to be this, looking like an apunkalyptic bike with a ram skull on it, and is very helpful for getting the Newspaper Club to the Yuga-Roa duel to prove [[spoiler: that Sevens Magician is a legal card.]]
* DubNameChange: To Yosh Imimi in the English version of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royal''.
* FieldPowerEffect: Beast Gear World, the first Field Spell used in ''SEVENS'', which raises the attack of his monsters and lowers the attack of Dragon-Types.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: At Mimi's request, Yuga and co. don't tell him that his mother is Number 6, and he is also unaware of his mother's spying.
* MobileSuitHuman: He wears a cosplay suit of the protagonist of his favorite show that has this effect, making him seem like a burly muscle man... when he's actually Mimi's height.
* MommasBoy: He greatly loves his mom - with his father not in sight - and his conflict with Luke is driven by a desire to "Rush Duel" without upsetting her.
* TookALevelInBadass: He returns in the Garden of Providence with a stronger deck and determination, [[spoiler: even beating his mother.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Neapolitan pasta, to the point where the fear of not getting to eat it is what makes him challenge Luke.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Haruka "Tiger" Kamijo (Tiadosia "Tiger" Kallister)]]
!!Haruka "Tiger" Kamijo
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Saeko Kamijo (JP), Cat Protano (EN)
[[quoteright:196:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haruka_kamijo.png]]

Luke's older sister and president of the Concert Band Club. She plays a WIND Music deck of WIND warriors - Music Maidens - based around martial artists and woodwinds.
----
* ActionGirl: She is a very skilled and competitive Duelist and the only named character who is capable of defeating Luke and even managed to defeat Yuga during their rematch.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: She's this to Luke, having defeated him in practically everything during their youth, even dueling, to the point that even after Luke's skills advanced dramatically once he could practice in adult Duel Centers, he still hasn't beaten her again (though it's left unsaid if he tried since getting his watch). [[spoiler: He beats her as The☆Lukeman, but was losing before the possession.]]
* AmazonBrigade: The majority of her deck are Music Maidens aside from possibly her ace, which appears as a keyboard-like mecha despite being a Warrior-type.
* AngerBornOfWorry: When Luke is missing in Episode 62, Tiger threatens to kill him if he doesn't come back, which Yuga lampshades.
* AntiMagic: Her ace, Ensemble Fighter the Heavy Music Oni, prevents the activation of Trap Cards when it attacks.[[spoiler: Her new Fusion, Full Orchestra the Phantasmagorchestra Music Oni, which uses the above monster as Fusion Material, lets her destroy all her opponent's Set Spell/Traps and power itself up for each one destroyed.]]
* BerserkButton: If you want to remain on the ground, ''don't'' call her by her normal name, call her Tiger. Asana is the ''only'' exception. Betrayal of family is another as [[spoiler: she goes berserk when Luke betrays everyone.]]
* BigGood: Is this towards Goha Seventh Elementary.
* BigSisterBully: She is a terrifying older sister, though she does care about Luke, happy that he enjoys himself when dueling.
* BlowYouAway: Her deck consists of WIND monsters to go with her woodwind theme. Aside from the wind, she is associated with breath and she often blows people away when they press her BerserkButton - which is often.
* CassandraTruth: She calls out on Yuga and Luke for attempting to help a zombified Swirly without explanation, though Yuga resists and faces off against her in a Rush Duel. There's a good reason Tiger is disrupting them; [[spoiler:Swirly's true identity is that of Yuga Goha, the sixth of the Goha Siblings.]]
* ChildhoodFriends: With Asana, bordering on if not a case of PseudoRomanticFriendship. A misunderstanding over Tiger thinking she was abandoned when looking for Luke on a snowy day - Asana and her great-grandfather had stumbled upon the half-frozen Kayama and Doverap and took them to the hospital- leads to her seeking vengeance. Though once it is cleared up they resume their friendship.
* CompetitionFreak: Incredibly competitive, though she is a GracefulLoser that takes her loss to Yuga well.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Insists she be called Tiger.
* TheDreaded: Luke is ''terrified'' of her, though not enough to actually call her by her insistent nickname. It gets to the point where she's the one Gakuto and Romin seek out to bring Luke's ego down a peg when needed.
* EmbarrassingFirstName: The dub renames her to “Tiadosia”.
* FaceHeelTurn: Stands in Yuga and Luke's way while they seek a cure for Guruguru during the Goha Employee arc, seemingly having sided with Nanaho. [[spoiler: Subverted in that she was actually trying to ''prevent'' Yuga Goha's return.]]
* GaleForceSound: She often blows people away with her voice and sound, when they press her BerserkButton - which is often.
* GlassCannon: Although her deck is offensively powerful and able to summon many high-level monsters, her deck noticeably lacks much in the ways of protection or trap cards.
* HairTriggerTemper: Incredibly short-tempered, especially towards Luke, whom she considers an idiot, and everyone else that doesn't call her Tiger. Averted with Asana, and Yuga, even brushing off one of his roads accidentally electrocuting her.
* HotBlooded: To the point that Luke seems calm by comparison, if only because he spends most his time when she's present in a state of abject terror. [[spoiler: Averted when she confronts Yuga and Luke during the Goha Employee arc.]]
* MartialArtsAndCrafts: Haruka has a martial arts and woodwind theme. Justified in that she deliberately sought out the mastery of woodwinds in order to improve her breath abilities.
* MusicalAssassin: And InstrumentOfMurder, as her monsters attack with sound-based attacks and they carry weapons that merge woodwind instruments with martial arts weapons.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler: It turns out that The☆Lukeman is her fault, as her trying to fax The☆Lukeman manga and breaking it caused the program to gain sentience and create the Fusion cards, all for the purpose of becoming one with Luke.]]
* {{Ojou}}: A tyrannical RoyalBrat type that rules the school with fear, albeit with her temper and strength rather than her wealth.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In the Goha Employee Arc, her not blowing up when Luke calls her Big Sis instead of Tiger alerts him to something being wrong.
* PoorCommunicationKills: She doesn't bother to elaborate on why she opposes Yuga in the Goha Employee arc, and while it could be assumed that she figured Yuga wouldn't believe her about what was wrong with Guruguru, her opposition just made Yuga even more determined to help him and led to [[spoiler:the return of Yuga Goha]]. Because of this, and due to hurting Yuga with said duel, Luke is left legitimately and seriously mad at her, and isn't willing to forgive her over it.
* TheRival: From childhood, one to Asana, though after their duel it switches back to a friendly one.
* RunningGag: People forgetting to call her Tiger, and her yelling them away. Her own club members, due to always respectfully calling her "president" are frequent victims.
* SuperStrength: Implied. She can lift her massive bassoon with no trouble, but at least two of her fellow club members need to carry the thing. She later jams it into the ground and holds the top to keep herself in the air.
* TigerVersusDragon: The Tiger to Luke's Dragon. Additionally she is the Tiger to Asana's Dragon - or Wyrm.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Protagonist (Dawn of the Battle Royale!!)]]
!! Protagonist
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Kousuke Hatakeyama (JP), Christian Musto (EN)

The main character of ''VideoGame/YuGiOhRushDuelDawnOfTheBattleRoyale''. They have the rare ability known as Spirit, that lets them connect with others through duels.
----
* TheAce: As typical for the game protagonists, they are an InstantExpert at Rush Duels and takes over as Protagonist.
* TheCameo: Appears in episode 60, bumping into Guruguru before running off to to Rush Duel with friends.
* HelloInsertNameHere: As typical, their name is player chosen.
* NewTransferStudent: They come in the story sometime after many arcs have happened, such as the Garden of Providence.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: His bumping into Guruguru leads him to finding the SEVENS storybook and bring it to Yuga and Co.

[[/folder]]

!Goha Sixth Elementary (ゴーハ6小, ''Gōha Roku Shō'')
!!Heavy Cavalry Duel Club
A duel club composed of elite students at Goha Sixth Elementary.

[[folder:In General]]
* AceCustom: Their duel disks are contained within their construction equipment
* DishingOutDirt: With the exception of Chevelle, all of the characters who belong to the club use EARTH monsters in their deck.
* GoodOldWays: They dig for the origin and truth of dueling, and deride Rush Duels as a modern heresy. In addition, Asana hates drones, preferring more traditional machinery. They also feel this about their machine parts, as they refuse to use anything other than actual Mutsuba parts, that are unfortunately no longer made.
* HeelFaceTurn: With DefeatMeansFriendship, [[spoiler: After Yuga beats Asana and reveals that Mutsuba did originally use alternate parts, the group stops their tyranny and embraces Rush Duels.]]
* HonorBeforeReason: They refuse to use updated or alternate parts with their Heavy Machinery, as it is against their ways. [[spoiler: The discovery of R0 shows this wasn't always the case, as the Mutsuba builders did heavily mod it with alternate and replacement parts. Afterwards, Asana drops the rule and they happily let Yuga fix R6 and the other machines.]]
* HorseOfADifferentColor: Instead of horses, their cavalry is their construction equipment.
* KickTheDog: They brutally beat the previous student council and stole their cards.
* MilitaryMashupMachine: They ride construction equipment merged with military equipment that double as duel disks.
* MythologyGag: Most of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club use construction equipment, such as excavator’s, to Duel instead of the standard Duel Disks, reminiscent of the Duel Arena’s used in the original series.
* PunnyName: Heavy Cavalry is a homophone of Heavy Machinery.
* TheRival: To the Dueling and Dinosaur Research Club, who they constantly push them out of their digsite.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: Goha Sixth was originally a normal and fun school, but the club defeated the former Student Council, stole all their cards, and threw them out.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Asana Mutsuba]]
!!Asana Mutsuba (六葉アサナ, ''Mutsuba Asana'')
!!!'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MinamiTakahashi (JP), Jennifer Silverman (EN)
[[quoteright:124:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asanamutsuba.png]]

The heiress of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, builders of Goha City. She plays a Wyrm Deck based around Mythic Sword Monsters.
----
* ActionGirl: Asana is a skilled duelist [[spoiler: capable of defeating Yuga in their first Duel]], as well as even defeating [[spoiler: Neiru ''without'' her own Maximum]].
* AffablyEvil: Despite her desire to end Rush Duels, Asana is unfailingly polite to Yuga when she meets him, and even legitimately thanks him for fixing R6. She also gets on well with her subordinates, who deeply respect her as well.
* AllGirlsLikePonies: Parodied. She wears equestrian type clothes, but rides an excavator that she treats as though it were a horse.
* AntiVillain: At the end of the day, she has no grudge against Rush Duels and even finds them fun herself. The main reason she's out to destroy them is because Goha promised to remanufacture the parts needed to repair R6 and the other Heavy Calvalry machines if she did.
* ArcVillain: Of the Goha Sixth Arc. She makes a deal with Goha Corporation to defeat Yuga and crush Rush Duels in exchange for parts needed to repair her clubs machines.
* TheBadGuyWins: Literally. Her debut duel has her defeat Yuga in a quick and straightforward manner without needing Neiru's consistency manipulation, and following that, transfers Yuga and co. to Goha 6th Elementary.
* {{Bifauxnen}}: Asana is a slim girl with short hair, wearing a masculine though elegant uniform like a cavalry officer.
* BreakingOldTrends: Asana is the first [[StockShonenRival rival character]] to be a girl, and she is the first duelist to use Wyrms instead of Dragons.
* CharacterDevelopment: [[spoiler: Comes to accept Rush Duels and modifying the Heavy Cavalry with alternate parts after her loss to Yuga]], but she still hates Drones though.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Tiger, bordering on PseudoRomanticFriendship. A misunderstanding over Tiger thinking she was abandoned when looking for Luke on a snowy day - Asana and her great-grandfather had stumbled upon the half-frozen Kayama and Hatrap and took them to the hospital- leads to her seeking vengeance. Though once it is cleared up they resume their friendship and Asana apologizes.
* CompanionCube: She operates a digger she names R6, and treats like a horse she is affectionate towards.
* DaddysGirl: Or rather Great-Granddaddy's Girl, as she was very close to her great-grandfather as a child.
* DarkActionGirl: The ArcVillain of the Goha 6th Elementary arc, and a skilled duelist.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: While her plan was executed flawlessly, its effectiveness leaves a lot to be desired, as noted by Goha. Asana's plan seems to have been to transfer Yuga and his friends to Goha 6th so she can crack down on Rush Dueling, but not only does this not quell Yuga's desire for the format at all, but as soon as he's transferred to the school he plays her like a fiddle to put himself in the position he wants.
* DontCallMeSir: Galient and Chevelle assert on Yuga addressing her with respectful honorifics, but Asana tells them off as she is fine with Yuga simply addressing her by given name.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite defeating Yuga, she doesn't like that fact that she blindsided him with her Maximum Monster - after all, he assumed no one else had one. Thus she waited until Yuga regained his use of a Maximum Monster, assuming it would be Neiru's Yggdrago, to fight him fair and square.
* FailedASpotCheck: She doesn't realize that Luke is the same boy she knew from her childhood despite him not looking any different until she directly hears Tiger call him her little brother.
* FatalFlaw: Asana favors Tradition over Progress, even if it costs her everything she loves. By being against modifications, she's unable to advance or improve her machinery and mindset, even when working for a corporation that refuses to cooperate with her.
* {{Foil}}: For Roa. Whereas the former is an [[ItsAllAboutMe extremely selfish individual]] who desires to be Duel King and gain Otes' approval in the process, while also having a bad habit of neglecting his companions (whether it be due to his arrogance or [[PoorCommunicationKills terrible communication skills]]), Asana is far more congenial, her goals seeming to be rooted in her family's history, and openly plans to destroy Rush Duels due to GoodOldWays, and she treats her subordinates well enough for them all to have UndyingLoyalty to her.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: It turns out she did know Luke from her childhood with Tiger, though she failed to recognize him as Tiger's little brother since she knew him by his first name and he was apparently calmer as a child.
* FriendlyRival: Towards Yuga despite being the ArcVillain, and with a slightly more serious rivalry from childhood with Tiger at first.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: Her initial backstory coupled with her rather lax attitude towards Yuga and developing interest in Rush Duels, very much muddied what her goals were. [[spoiler:It is later revealed that, being a stickler for tradition, Asana was tasked with crushing Rush Duels in exchange for the old parts to repair a slowly malfunctioning R6.]]
* MachineEmpathy: She can understand R6 and the machine language, but hates Drones for using regular speech.
* NotSoAboveItAll: All of Yuga's friends present participate in his cosplay, but Asana was one of the few who weren't shocked by the notion, instead blushing.
* {{Ojou}}: A wealthy heiress, and is referred to as the Great Lady by her club. However, as Mutsuba is out of business, she is an ImpoverishedPatrician, [[spoiler: with her Grandfather currently running a bike repair shop.]]
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Plays Wyrm Monsters, which are mistaken for Dragons by Yuga and co., except for Luke, who recognizes them but admits he's not sure what the difference is.
* PowerOfFriendship: In her duel with Neiru, she [[spoiler: adds the club's aces to her deck rather than take their ID cards to remake her Maximum. It is what allows her to win.]]
* {{Pride}}: The positive variant, where her pride of a Mutsuba and traditions is important to her, but later she admits her friends are more important to her than her pride.
* ShipTease: She gets this with both Yuga and Tiger.
** She takes a quick liking to Yuga after he helps fix and compliment R6, and treats him with nothing but respect, even though she is actively trying to destroy Rush Duels. She's also shown to be quite perceptive of him after learning how he thought after their second Duel.
** She was instantly impressed by Haruka in their childhood and spent every day with her. The two have nicknames for one another that only ''they'' are allowed to use, and were depicted kneeling in a field of flowers while clasping hands.
* StudentCouncilPresident: Downplayed. Officially, she is not the Student Council President of Goha 6th Elementary, but she has power equal to one once her club took over the school. [[spoiler:Played straight in the time skip as she narrowly wins the position in the Goha 8th Middle School election over Gakuto.]]
* TigerVersusDragon: The Dragon, or Wyrm, to Tiger's Tiger.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: When the Goha Siblings bring in costumes for everyone else to [[spoiler: help The☆Lukeman live out his adventures from Luke’s manga, Asana is the only one other than Romin to look excited, if a little embarrassed, about it. In the next episode, she dresses up in a princess-themed costume, even calling herself The☆Princess Asana]].
* VillainousFriendship: At the very least, her subordinates greatly respect her, and the feeling is mutual on her part. The villainous part is downplayed after her time as ArcVillain.

Advisor of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club. He uses an EARTH Machine deck based on Anti-Defense tactics, based around mechanical animals.
----
* AlmightyJanitor: Despite dropping his advisor position after his loss to Gakuto, the rest of the club treat him with the same amount of authority and respect.
* AnimalMecha: His monsters are based around them, being transforming drills that turn into animals like bulls and his ace, Drilling Mandrill.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He's a sixth grader that dresses and styles himself to look like an adult, despite being short and stocky to begin with, but he's also a capable Duelist who flattens Ranze.
* {{Determinator}}: After losing [=GG03=], he proves capable of still digging the same amount and will not stop serving Asana.
* GracefulLoser: After losing to Gakuto, he offers him his respect for being a master worthy of his servants, and quietly leaves Goha 6th. [[spoiler: Gakuto and the Twins only failing to earn their freedom because Asana overruled it.]]
* HonorBeforeReason: Despite [=GG03=] being badly damaged, he refuses to stop the duel with Gakuto. And when he loses, he gives up his position and leaves Goha 6th as he is no longer worthy to serve Asana. Or rather the next episode shows that he is starting over as a grunt with just a shovel.
* HotBloodedSideburns: Sports a pair that shape a beard and a mustache, which fits his Hotblooded military aesthetic and older feeling.
* ManiacMonkeys: His ace monsters, Drilling Mandrill and Shield Boring Kong, are based on monkeys and apes.
* OldRetainer: In spirit if not age, as his UndyingLoyalty to Asana, is like an OldSoldier dealing with their younger liege. He is old enough to have given a toddler Asana baths. His family appears to have been in a LegacyOfService to hers as well.
* OldSoldier: Not helping his status, is that he talks like one, referring to everyone as Youngins.
* PowerfulPick: After the loss of [=GG03=], he goes back to basics and uses a pickaxe to dig everywhere. While he doesn't fight with it, he is still a TunnelKing with it.
* StoutStrength: Despite his stocky appearance, when he ditches his jacket after his loss, he is revealed to be incredibly ripped and strong for his age.
* ThisIsADrill: Aside from digging, his monsters have a drill theme.
* TookALevelInKindness: His first appearance showed him willing to be underhanded, but after his loss to Gakuto, he refuses to allow his comrades to use dishonorable methods.
* TunnelKing: Proves capable of tunneling from Goha 6th to Yuga's base with only a pickaxe, and later tunnels all the way to the Machine Cavalry Colosseum - the latter of which leaves him too tired to stand and he passes out.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Asana, whom he considers the Great One.
* VagueAge: Initial reports described him as an elementary schooler trying to look and act grown-up, but he's later revealed to be significantly older than Asana despite remaining in sixth grade. His true age is unclear.
* YoungerThanHeLooks: Though he's an elementary schooler, he stretches the sideburns on his hair such that they're shaped like a moustache, so as to look more like a grown-up, and also talks like an elderly man. Subverted when it he turns out to be older than he looks, making him an adult pretending to be an elementary-schooler...pretending to be an adult.

One of the three members of the Goha Sixth Elementary elite trio. He is accompanied by his companion pigeon, Hatrap, and is capable of understanding him. He uses a Winged Beast Deck, with a focus on Trap Cards to manipulate ATK values and dealing burn damage.
----
* AristocratsAreEvil: He's dressed the fanciest of the group, and is an antagonist, so he fulfills this quite well.
* CloudCuckoolander: He's a bit weird with his pigeon, and was apparently raised by Pigeons, so Hatrap is his brother.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: He apparently used to be a huge crybaby that Hatrap had to look over, and at some point as a child, was caught in an avalanche and would've died along with Hatrap had Asana and her grandfather not saved them.
* FrenchJerk: He has elements of this, being thus far the only member of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club without any redeeming traits and calling Galient "Monsieur Galient", in addition to his name sounding French. He's also the most condescending and rude to Yuga's group, and enjoys taunting Luke throughout their duel.
* IdiotBall: Decided to summon a second copy of his ace monster in Attack Position on Luke's turn. This is despite the fact that Luke's tactics include ATK reduction on top of heavy-hitting dragon monsters. [[LampshadedTrope Hatrap, for his part, immediately notices it]] and starts pecking and squawking at Kayama for such an idiotic play. Had he summoned out Phantom Dove in Defense Position, they would have survived Luke's final offense.
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: The avalanche incident lead to Asana and Tiger's friendship fracturing and they only stumbled upon him to save him because they were looking for a missing Luke, who was completely fine.
* PetTheDog
** Is greatly concerned for Galient after he dug so far with only a pickaxe, and is alarmed when he passes out.
** He cares very deeply about Hatrap, saving the pigeon after Luke deals the finishing blow, and this was after they had a spat.
* RaisedByWolves: Or Pigeons, who somehow were capable of running a delivery company.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: He's stated to be capable of understanding what his companion pigeon, Hatrap, says.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His given name is also transliterated as "Schwer".
* TookALevelInKindness: He's much nicer after the Goha 6th arc.

An assassin that works for the Machine Calvary Club and oddly resembles Noodle Sorako. She plays a Pyro deck of FIRE and EARTH monsters with an acupuncture theme.
----
* ButNowIMustGo: After defeating Sebastian, she has to go back to her people, to the confusion of Kayama.
* CuteAndPsycho: Despite being chipper like Sorako, she shows a nastier side, calling Kaizo a fly and not showing any remorse over breaking Sebastian.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Her eyes have triangular highlights, unlike the stars in Sorako's.
* HeroKiller: Defeats Sebastian in a duel, which causes him to shut down.
* IdenticalStranger: Is one to Sorako complete with the ability to withdraw inside her drill just like how Worako is able to do that with her spaceship.
* MagmaMan: Her EARTH and FIRE monsters are lava-based animals.
* MistakenIdentity: Sebastian assumes that she and Noodle Sorako are the same individual, but she denies knowing anybody by that name.
* MoleMen: A figure from the Shiatsu Empire, which is some sort of MoleMen Empire.
* PsychoForHire: A light and soft example, but still a hired assassin that is mildly CuteAndPsycho.
* PyrrhicVictory: While she won the duel against Sebastian, he was still able to buy enough time for Kaizo to escape and contact Neiru.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: While it's not clear if she is Sorako, she definitely knows about her, claiming that after Sebastian asks if she is Sorako that she totally isn't that space alien whose name means "Sorako".
* ThisIsADrill: That she does acupuncture with, and like Sorako's saucer, she can put herself inside the drill.

A member of the Machine Calvary Club who tries to dismantle Yuga's Road Laboratory. He uses an EARTH Beast deck.
----
* MeaningfulName: His surname contains the kanji for "elephant", and one of his monsters is an elephant. After being beaten, he briefly responds to Haruka by making elephant noises.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: He seems to realize in his debut that demolishing Yuga's lab doesn't ''require'' he duel anyone, scaring off Yoshio and his friends when they try to stop him and then outright trying to run over the Newspaper Club without even entertaining the idea. The only reason he duels Haruka is because she's strong enough to force him into one.
* SoreLoser: He refuses to acknowledge his loss against Tiger and attempts to dismantle Yuga's Road Laboratory, until Galient intervenes and dissuades him from going through with it.
* TheStoic: He's fairly hammy during his debut, but later tries to present himself as a lot more stoic behind his mask.
* StoneWall: His monsters all have high defense and low offense (with his field spell boosting their defense but lowering their attack even further), and his strategy is to stall in defense mode and hit the opponent with traps to force them to damage themselves by attacking his defense monsters. He also incorporates Sword and Shield to take advantage of this for some offensive power.

The former student council president of Goha 6th Elementary who hosts the "Dark Rush Duel Tournament" as defiance towards Heavy Cavalry Duel Club.

He uses an Insect Deck based around Rebelling Ants. His deck resolves on swarming the field with low-attack monster in order to strengthen them with his ace card Antbellion of the Rebellion.
----
* AnimalMotifs: He compares himself and the other former student council members as ants since they are both small oppressed beings living under everyone's radar.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: His deck is comprised of Insect-Type monsters or to be more specific ants.
* {{Expy}}: With his Insect and Rebellion theme, he is a LighterAndSofter version of Shinji Weber from ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV''.
* HypocriticalHumor: He does this twice in the meeting between Goha 7th and 6th to counter Fusion, first telling off Botan for losing control and eating everyone's food while he himself has a hand deep in a box to soothe his drawing trauma, then claiming Gakuto isn't distinguished while he himself is pretty dishevelled and prone to having his seizures at inappropriate times, something Gakuto points out to him.
* ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin: He is addicted to drawing cards, which is why he loves Rush Duels so much.
* MeaningfulName: His surname comes from an extinct branch of the Japanese Imperial family, highlighting his status as the former Student Council President, while the first character also happens to be a homophone for the Japanese word for "ant", tying into his animal motif.
* MythologyGag: His "Gi-Ant Revolution" deck is a parody of the "Huge Revolution" archetype of cards back in the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh, with all the people in the artwork storyline being replaced with ants. Unlike that archetype though, Jango's deck was reworked so that the cards are actually playable in a realistic duel.
* RebelLeader: Of the Goha 6th Resistance, though unfortunately he's really not a match for the sheer numbers the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club has, easily forcing his rebellion's end, and him to rejoin the school.
* SchmuckBait: Part of his strategy is to summon a bunch of monsters with only 100 ATK in order to bait the opponent into attacking and then punishing them with Trap cards.
* StudentCouncilPresident: He was originally this to Goha 6th Elementary until the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club forced him out. After the Goha 6th arc, he's returned to his position.

He uses a Pyro Deck focusing around the Masked Fiery Noodle series. His deck revolves around gathering normal monsters in the graveyard to strengthen Pyro monsters on the field.
----
* AntiquatedLinguistics: Befitting of his ninja motif, he adopts an old-fashioned manner of speech when addressing others.
* BerserkButton: Do not tell him that you prefer udon over ramen, saying such is enough for him to challenge Yuga to a Duel. And when Luke eats the last ramen, he drops his formal speech and outright calls him "kisama".
* TheBusCameBack: He returns in Episode 11 with two companions of his own to provide catering services to Roa's concert.
* DemotedToExtra: Becomes one of the Standard Duelists (generic PVE opponents) in the SEVENS area of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links''.
* DubNameChange: To Saburamen in the English version of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royal''.
* FriendOrIdolDecision: Has one of these during his duel with Sorako: lose to her and get to experience cuisine in outer space at the cost of giving Yuga and his friends a penalty, or win and disable her UFO but not cause problems for his new friends. Ultimately he chooses the later. [[spoiler: This ends up being surprisingly important in the end, since Yuga and co. end up with five penalties when all is said and done, meaning their accounts would have all been banned had he acted more selfishly.]]
* FireIsRed: Fitting for a Pyro Duelist, his color scheme is predominantly red.
* GlassCannon: Masked Fiery Noodle Jonin Gockboot, his ace monster, is one as it has 2200 ATK but 0 DEF. This weakness ends up leading to his defeat in his Duel against Yuga when the latter uses spell cards to change Gockboot to defense position and give Sevens Road Magician the ability to inflict piercing damage, allowing him to deal enough damage to win.
* HotBlooded: Extremely bombastic and dedicated to his love of ramen.
* {{Ninja}}: The Masked Fiery Noodle monsters are ninja with a ramen-themed aesthetic.
* PlayingWithFire: All Masked Fiery Noodle monsters are Pyro-type and FIRE. Notably, he's the second Duelist in the franchise to specialize in the use of Pyro monsters, following Austin O'Brien/Axel Brodie from ''Anime/YuGiOhGX''.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Ramen, of course.
* UnwittingPawn: Oblivious to Roa's true nature, he happily provides catering for Roa's concert... which serves to trigger Romin's hunger-crazed berserk state. He and his friends apologize in the next episode for having done so.

----
* AdventurerArchaeologist: Or rather Paleontologist, where his desire to make money off of dinosaurs reflects the more aggressive Bone War archeologists, whereas his restored romanticism and adventurous spirit reflects modern appeals.
* AffablyEvil: Of Affably Antagonistic, where even when using Yuga he is softspoken and polite. He returns to being more of a NiceGuy once Yuga beats sense into him.
* TheAllegedBoss: Downplayed, but in the club he is content to sit back and let his NumberTwo, Kaseki make most of the decisions. And then he and Kaseki let Hunt push them around during his AcquiredSituationalNarcissism
* BadassBookworm: A scholarly individual, and still a powerful duelist with a T. rex.

* PunnyName: His full name, Hakubutsukan is the Japanese word for Museum.
* TookALevelInIdealism: After his defeat by Yuga, his romanticism is restored, and he becomes an ally to Yuga and Co.

* AdventurerOutfit: A safari outfit with a dinosaur painted hard-hat.

* BigDamnHeroes: When the heroes are lost in Maximum Mountain, he comes to their rescue with fresh drinking water, when Romin was about to drink possibly poisoned water.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Despite being the most openly eager of the Dinosaur Club, he is the most duplicitous of the group, though he also panics when his sneakiness is revealed. [[TookALevelInKindness Later episodes]] have him as more of TheCutie. [[SubvertedTrope Though]] averted as it turns out he was the only one that didn't learn his lesson last time and acts like a major {{Jerkass}} to his friends and others with his materialistic nature.
* CardCarryingVillain: More like Card Carrying Jerkass, but by the Goha Employee Arc, he acts in a smug Weevil-like manner, completely open about his greedy and dark nature.
* CheatersNeverProsper: He sold Maximum cards one-at-a-time so no one had a complete set, despite his use of Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynaramix. Naturally he loses because he didn't expect Yuga to be able to come up with his own second Maximum thanks to Nail, Roa, and Asana.
* ChekhovsGunman: In the first arc, he is simply Kan's sidekick, but in the Goha 6th Arc his sneezing ability is invaluable for finding Maximums.
* CoolChair: A golden chair that turns into a Jurassic stone one under the effects of Jurassic World.
* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler: Goha 66]] helped him find all the Maximum cards in exchange for Hunt finding something for him.
* DishingOutDirt: Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynarmix is EARTH unlike his other monsters.
* EasilyForgiven: By his friends for treating them like dirt after his defeat by Yuga, even though it is shown he hadn't learned his lesson.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Not his name, but he doesn't like Luke naming his ability Sneezcavation.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite his Greed, he has enough sense to not sell off his own Maximum Monster, since it is still incredibly useful.
* GemEncrusted: His LIGHT dinos have this theme.
* GiantEqualsInvincible: Dynarmix cannot be destroyed by Traps Cards or in battle with Level 7 or lower monsters, effectively necessitating another Maximum to beat it.
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: Dresses in gaudy gold clothing with rings and blond hair after becoming rich from selling maximums.
* {{Greed}}: The greediest of the bunch, especially when he becomes the Maximum seller, and at the end of the episode, he still finds money to be more important than dueling, though his friends don't let him finish. It is reflected in his non-Maximum ace, Zenigebazauls, as the term Zenigeba is a Japanese term for a money-crazed person.
* LightIsNotGood: His LIGHT monsters reflect gold, and he duels with them during a massive jerk phase.
* TheNoseKnows: Is capable of smelling out finds, whether the Relic, fossils, or the prototype duel disks.
* NouveauRiche: Dresses gaudily, treats everyone like garbage, and acts crass all around after becoming rich. His series is even known as Nouveau Riche Dinosaurs.
* PowerfulPick: Wields one with enough power to smash through a wall and Yoshio's Good Max costume.
* SmugSnake: His Maximum Monster makes him rather convinced of his power, and he acts in a Weevil-like manner, being rude and hostile to everyone.
* TooImportantToWalk: He is carried on a palaquin throne by his friends in episode 45, and this is reflected in the Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynarmix, as it is a city-sized dinosaur pulled by two smaller dinosaurs that represent Kan and Kaseiki.
* TookALevelInBadass: A dark version, going from Kan's sidekick to the fourth Maximum user, capable of getting his team to third place in the Goha Tournament. However averted with the Goha Employee Arc, where he fails to find a Fusion and his SmugSnake nature becoming worse causes him to be trounced by Bakuro's fusion.
* TookALevelInJerkass: After he becomes wealthy from selling Maximums he rises in social standing among his friends and outright admits he would trample on them. And then he becomes even worse come the Goha Employee Arc.

----
* ActionGirl: Sushiko is a skilled duelist capable of beating Romin.
* AmericansAreCowboys: Thematically, since Nick appears to still be Japanese, though his cooking wouldn't be out of place at a Texas Roadhouse.
* ChefOfIron: Both are dueling chefs with food-based monsters.
* {{Foil}}: Sushiko is this to Romin, being a prim and proper lady compared to Romin's rock-star theming. 471The captain of Goha Fisheries Elementary School.

He plays a Fish deck entered around supporting his lower-level monsters by reducing the ATK of opposing monsters with his field and trap cards or by having his ace monster give them the ability to attack directly, and recycling cards from his graveyard for later use.
----
* BerserkButton: Polluting the ocean, and thinking Yuga did so provokes him into a duel.
* BirdsOfAFeather: He strikes up a friendship wtih Yujin Goha over their love of the sea.
* BookDumb: He's the highest performing student at school - they are graded on fishing - but admits that he's never gotten above a zero on a math test. Despite this he is a skilled duelist, fisherman, and boat driver.
* TheCaptain: Of the Goha Fisheries, granted for being the best fisherman.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: When Yuga defeats him, Maguro realizes he isn't the type to litter and even gets Yuga and co. back to land after [[spoiler: Fake Kaizo tricked them onto the boat in the first place.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of Mako Tsunami/Ryota Kajiki from DM, being a fish duelist, and even has a similar color scheme and deck. He is however much LighterAndSofter as he lacks a tragic backstory.
* FieldPowerEffect: His field spell, Big Ocean, reduces the ATK of all non-WATER monsters on the field by 300. In addition, several of his cards require its presence on the field for their effects to activate.
* GreenAesop: He hates it when pollution the sea, and his deck even has a mild recycling theme to it, the gang even calling his deck eco-friendly.
* MakingASplash: He uses a Fish deck composed entirely of WATER monsters.
* OutOfFocus: Unlike most characters seen in the series, Maguro has very few appearances outside of his debut due to being on Goha Fishing Elementary. He eventually made a small cameo over forty episodes later, having met with Yujin Goha and begun fishing with him. And then in the final arc he [[spoiler: brings copies of the SEVENS book from all over the world to Yujin so they can finish the story.]]
* PunnyName: His name literally translates to "tuna of the seven seas".
* SleevesAreForWimps: His outfit lacks sleeves and he's quite muscular for his age.
* UnusualEyebrows: His eyebrows are distinctively tuna-shaped.
* VerbalTic: He has a habit of ending his sentences with "tsuna" (a literal English to Japanese transliteration of "tuna").

Braun Honya is a student at Goha 5th Elementary, president of the Space Operations Duel Club. He seeks out his own Maximum Monster. He plays a Reptile Deck based on spaceship turtles, with a strategy of manipulating his opponent's monsters levels and attack.
-----
* CloudCuckoolander: He and his friends are just plain weird, to the point that even the Heavy Cavalry Club are weirded out by them. They line a mineshaft with lights to pretend that it's outer space, carry a ladder around with them for Braun to descend like Neil Armstrong, and are pretty much constantly quoting space-related media.
* GracefulLoser: After losing to Luke, they all happily look for ID cards together. After Neiru defeats Braun he also happily admits how amazing Yggdrago is.
* MeaningfulName: Honya means Bookstore, and his family owns one. In addition his name comes from Werner Von Braun, a German American aerospace engineer.
* MythologyGag: His monsters are based on UFO Turtle, though Reptiles rather than Machines.
* PlayingWithFire: Most of his monsters are FIRE.

Nanaho Nanahoshi is the President of the Dueling Insects Club of Goha 5th Elementary, as well as the cousin of Ranze and Rinnosuke. She is a childhood friend of Yuga's, and the reason for his fear of Ladybugs. She seeks to steal the secrets of Maximums...[[spoiler: but her actual goal is to restore Yuga Goha.]]

Nanaho plays an Insect Deck of Ladybugs, that utilize swarm, defensive, and burn strategies like her cousins.
-----
* AnimalMotifs: Ladybugs, with an insect motif extending to her underlings who are a beetle and preying mantis.
* ArcVillain: Of the Goha Employee Arc. Yuo is still active and wanting to crush Rush Duels, but he is busy consolidating his control and actually doing his job while she takes center stage.
* AscendedExtra: Although her club appeared at the Training Camp and Rush Duel Tournament, the Goha Employee Arc raises her to prominence.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Her evil ladybugs.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: She'll use tears and cutesy behavior to get her way, but is CuteAndPsycho.
* ChaosIsEvil: Like [[spoiler: Yuga Goha]] she seeks to spread chaos and destruction.
* CharmPerson: Is able to charm Guruguru into leading her to Yuga.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Yuga, though he fears her. For a definition of friends, since even then she was somewhat of a bully to him.
* CuteAndPsycho: Acts cute, even being a ThirdPersonPerson, but is in reality a manipulative and sinister person.
* TheDragon: [[spoiler: To Yuga Goha, who she was working to unseal from Swirly.]]
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler: She opts to screw with Otes by causing all the Ko Girls to leave him in the final battle, out of revenge for him and them making a fool out of her than any real desire at redemption, which saves Yuga and Co from an immediate loss.]]
* EvilCostumeSwitch: From rather cutsey clothes to ninja clothing with a mask that makes her look sinister.
* EvilFormerFriend: Downplayed since even in childhood she was a bully.
* EvilPrincess: Despite her princess and fairy tale motifs, she is rather sinister.
* FairyTaleMotifs: Her humanoid monsters have this, being based on princess characters.
* GigglingVillain: She laughs in her Na VerbalTic whenever she is being smug and malicious.
* LightIsNotGood: The majority of her monsters are LIGHT and she uses Forest of the Sun, though Malefi is [[DarkIsEvil DARK]].
* MasterOfDisguise: She is able to flawlessly disguise herself as Romin to trick everyone, which only fell apart because Asana bumped into Romin separately.
* {{Ninja}}: As a Nanahoshi branch member, she has ninja training and can pull a SmokeOut.
* ShadowArchetype: She and her family are as a whole this to the Main Nanahoshi branch, sowing chaos and destruction from the shadows.
* VerbalTic: Na, which she especially uses when feeling smug.
* VillainHasAPoint: She points out how easy it was to mislead Gakuto, Mimi, and Roa over how quick they were to distrust Yuga for potentially being the Sixth Goha Sibling, especially while he and Luke were actually off helping Swirly.

The President of the Goha 4th Duel Zombie Club, hired to run the Zombie Party.

He plays a Zombie Deck themed on dance.
-----
* DarkIsNotEvil: Although he seems like the episode villain, he's just a hired actor for the Zombie Party.
* TheDeadCanDance: His zombies are themed on zombie dancers, like a Venice Carnival or Samba.
* EliteZombie: Invoked, he is the FinalBoss of the episode, and talks unlike everyone else pretending.
* FrankensteinsMonster: His ace, Cyber-Stein Shrine, which Gakuto complains that Frankenstein is a different genre.
* GlassCannon: His zombies have high attack, but low defense like most Zombie monsters.
* MichaelJacksonsThrillerParody: He dresses like one with an afro, jacket etc, though his monsters are themed on other dances too.
* MythologyGag: His appearance with makeup makes him look like [[Anime/YuGiOh Bonz]] dressed like Michael Jackson, and the Duel Zombie idea comes right from Season 3 of GX.
* ZombieApocalypse: Or rather, Gakuto thought this was the case since the episode plays like a Zombie Horror Movie, but it turns out it was just a quirky recreation event for Goha Corp.

Romin's cousin and the leader and singer of [=RoaRomin=]. He has an interest in "Rush Dueling". He plays a Fiend Deck focusing on the Royal Demons, with his strategy revolving around hand and field destruction.
-------
* AffectionateNickname: He calls Getta “Getta-chan”, Yuga “Yuga-chan”, and [[spoiler:Neiru “Neiru-chan”, “Genius-kun”, and "Providence-chan"]].
* AnalogyBackfire: [[spoiler: Comparing Getta and Ushiro to the aces he sacrificed to Summon Royal Demon's Death Doom, did not convince them he really wanted to make up to them, despite the fact that Death Doom would have only been a beatstick without them. Reversed in his duel with Romin where he uses the aces to revive Death Doom, the three standing together as equals, with Getta and Ushiro being touched by the gesture.]]
* ArcVillain: Of the Birth of Rush Duels arc. He sets up a best-of-three match with his band against Yuga's friends, unlike the previous opponents who were antagonists for a single episode. Likewise, he's the one who has ordered Romin to spy on Yuga's group, giving him a greater role in that regard.
* AttentionWhore: Called this by Romin, who notes that he always liked to stand out.
* BadassNormal: Explicitly noted. Most of his monsters are Effect monsters and he is the only one of the seven main characters to lack either a Maximum or a Fusion. [[spoiler: This doesn't stop him from defeating Asana when she had a fusion and Yuga when he had both.]]
* BigBrotherBully: Downplayed. He and Romin are usually friendly towards one another, but during the Birth of Rush Duel Arc, he blackmails her into do his dirty work, and pins her against the wall reminding her that if she listens to him he won't reveal her secret. He also had Getta eat all the food backstage to deliberately starve her, knowing it would trigger her SuperPoweredEvilSide so she’d duel better.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: He acts like a charming singer, but it hides his manipulative nature and emotional abuse of his cousin, and he very likely does not have good intentions in mind for the other protagonists. Fittingly, his deck is made up of LIGHT Fiends. He grows out of it as the series progresses.
* CharacterDevelopment: Goes from a selfish, egotistical duelist, to a more social and appreciative duelist who, while still egotistical, is shown to have a legitimate set of standards.
* ChickMagnet: All of the elementary school girls and Mimi swoon over him when he is on stage.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Getta, whom he calls Getta-Chan.
* TheChosenWannabe: With a bit of TheUnchosenOne, [[spoiler: he is upset that Otes chose Yuga over him, and so he made his own road to break up the world's rigidity. Had he beaten Yuga, Otes would have accepted him as the new chosen king.]]
* CompositeCharacter: He takes on a lot of similarities to IV from ''Anime/YuGiOhZEXAL'' in his character, but also has a slight king motif like Jack Atlas from ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'' and uses a Fiend deck like Reiji Akaba did in ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV'', though his are LIGHT, not DARK.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Compared to [[Anime/YuGiOhVRAINS Ryoken/Revolver]], the previous rival. Where Ryoken was a WellIntentionedExtremist trying to protect everyone with a measure of humility after the fact, Roa is DrivenByEnvy and significantly pettier, being mainly [[ItsAllAboutMe interested in himself]] and with an ego to match. While Ryoken dedicated his life to his father's dreams and wishes, Roa's dreams are entirely his own. Ryoken's plans ultimately caused a stagnation of sorts in ''Duel Monsters'', due to the Knights of Hanoi almost completely destroying the Cyberse type and terrorizing Link VRAINS, whereas Roa desires to push ''Duel Monsters'' forward, being very interested in Otes' legend, while Ryoken tried his hardest to kill the Ignis, having no interest in their potential whatsoever. While Ryoken deeply cared for the core members of the Knights of Hanoi and had a very close, albeit static bond with them, especially when they shifted to a more [[AntiHero heroic role]], Roa treats his friends like dirt, causing them to get fed up and leave him, until Roa learned to not be so much of a jerk. Finally, whereas Ryoken and Yusaku had a very personal relationship throughout their series, Yuga was completely ignorant of Roa's existence, and generally passive and understanding of his goals and motives, only coming into conflict with Roa through coincidences.
* DisappointedInYou: Roa very much wanted to duel Luke, seeing him as a very strong and WorthyOpponent. [[spoiler:Seeing Luke lord his president status over everyone and brag about it while dueling gives Roa this reaction,]] and he wastes no time lambasting Luke for it. [[spoiler:Unfortunately for Roa, the speech does not sink in for Luke the way that an enraged lambasting fired up Yuga. Luke is too attached to wanting to be president than register that he has sacrificed his duelist's honor, and the resulting comeback is born out of a desire to win to prove that he is president, rather than realize that he has likely been manipulated or that he betrayed his companions for power and influence.]]
* DrivenByEnvy: [[spoiler: His antagonism towards Yuga is born from his resentment that Yuga was picked over him by Otes. Ironically, he has his own envier in Getta.]]
* DubNameChange: His surname is changed to "Kassidy" in the English version of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royal''.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Roa, for all of his ego, takes a duelist's character very seriously, being furious of Yuga's blaise dismissal of his loss to Neiru when it should be enraging and increasing his drive, and being disappointed in Luke for [[spoiler:turning against his friends and lording his new status as a Goha President over everyone else]], even though he had wanted to duel Luke because of his strength.
* FakingAmnesia: PlayedForDrama, [[spoiler: Roa like Luke survived Goha Yuga's attempts to erase his memory because like Luke he had a strong bond with Yuga before Rush Duels. However because he was tired of not being chosen by Otes and Romin being chosen for a solo debut, he opted to fake it for the chance of a new start as a musician. Yuga and his fans break him out of the funk, and he even defeats Yuga in the resulting duel.]]
* {{Foil}}
** To Yuga. Both desire to break down the stagnant nature of dueling, but Yuga is ForHappiness, while Roa's goal is ToBeAMaster. Yuga is a NiceGuy, whereas Roa is a BitchInSheepsClothing. Yuga is a very humble child, while Roa is a glory hound.
** To Luke as well. Both of them, to a degree, fit TheRival archetype as seen in the franchise, but Luke is closer to Jounouchi and Manjoume in terms of temperament and is one of Yuga's friends, while Roa is just as malicious as Death-T Kaiba and the first of Yuga's really serious foes. Even better, Roa later gets CharacterDevelopment in learning to truly appreciate his bandmates and what it is like to handle being a skilled duelist, while Luke [[spoiler:has a FaceHeelTurn borne solely of his ego that has never taken a permanent hit.]]
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: He chews out on Yuga for musing over his devastating loss against Neiru and brushing it off as an instance of bad luck.
* GiverOfLameNames: He presents his team's name as "Roa and Getta and Ushiro" for the Team Battle Royal. Both Gakuto and Romin comment that he has zero naming sense.
* GracefulLoser: He takes his loss against Yuga in stride, and looks forward to dueling him again in the future. Though Yuga and his friends think that he is just putting on a brave face to look good in front of the fans.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: He seems to have plans regarding "Rush Duels", and while he claims that he just wants to claim their copyright, there's the fact that [[spoiler:he had Romin whisper the urban shrine legend to a sleeping Luke]] and didn't make a move until after the format became fairly well-known. His plans are also unknown to Goha, judging by Mimi's reaction to his goals succeeding. [[spoiler: His plans are revealed to be that he wants Otes to acknowledge him as Duel King, upset that he didn't give him Sevens Road all those years ago.]]
* HiddenDepths: The credits to episode 44 reveal [[SupremeChef that Roa is a good cook]], explaining why his apartment is so well-stocked with cooking equipment from [[LethalChef Romin's ramen attempts.]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: His constant milling of Yuga's deck to force him to draw Sevens Road Magician backfires, [[spoiler:as his disqualification strategy is derailed by the time Yuga actually draws it. Yuga is then able to use Sevens Road Mage to depower his ace using all the Spellcaster monsters Roa forced him to discard, at the same time allowing Sevens Road Magician to reach its full potential thanks to milling all six attributes, winning the duel]].
* IAmNotLeftHanded: He uses an underhanded disqualification strategy against Yuga to disgrace and make him lose without having to battle him seriously, but when that plan falls through, it's shown that he's actually an extremely competent duelist.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Due to his selfish behavior, he fails to realize how badly he alienates Getta and Ushiro, and even after Romin lets him know what he did wrong, his pride doesn't let him go apologize.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Roa loves to steal the spotlight for himself every opportunity he gets. He also has a habit of referring to himself with the arrogant "ore-sama" first-person pronoun. [[spoiler: However his tendencies towards this pale in the face of Luke's]].
** He duels Yuga with ownership of "Rush Duels" on the line, with the selfish intent of renaming it to "[=RoaRush=] Duel", and attempt to disgrace him for using the supposedly illegal Sevens Road Magician.
** While he genuinely wants to Duel with his friends in the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal, he once again places his desire to duel Mimi for the chance to talk with Otes above the wishes of his friends, not even telling them he planned on doing so and alienating them.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Downplayed. He does care about his friends, particularly Getta, even if he is rather self-centered and not the best about showing it, [[spoiler:to the point that after he realizes that he hurt Getta's feelings when the others reveal he commissioned Yuga for a drumming bot, he decides to ask Yuga for a drumming duel disk for Getta instead.]]
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: PlayedForLaughs after getting off pretty much scot-free for his manipulative behavior and ArcVillain status, Episode 14 sees Romin managing to flood his entire apartment complex with her blue curry. Later on, his ItsAllAboutMe attitude causes his friends to leave him, and he has to properly learn about being respectful of their feelings and wants afterwards.
* LargeHam: He duels ''very'' dramatically, using concert effects and having Ushiro and Getta stand behind him with flashlights to give him a HolyBacklight. Notably all of his high-Level monsters often have a short summon chant in addition to the more traditional long ones for his ace monsters.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Miniscape", which also serves as the InsertSong and special ED of the second half of his duel against Yuga.
* LightIsNotGood: His monsters have the LIGHT attribute, but they're all Fiends.
* ManipulativeBastard: Oh, yes. He has manipulation ready for ''everything'' he does to gain even the slightest advantage.
** Took advantage of Luke's tendencies to believe in Urban Legends to essentially kickstart the whole plot, and may have further plans beyond even that. He also uses this against him during his duel with Ushiro by having Ushiro scare Luke before and during the Duel.
** He manipulates his cousin to spy and duel better, by having Getta eat all the food at the concert so Romin gets hungry, even having Menzaburo and his friends bring food stalls into the concert.
** He questions Seven Road Magician's legality and then has his fans slam Goha with questions to force them to respond, and when Goha decides Yuga can continue the duel as long as he doesn't draw it, Roa uses hand destruction and cards to force Yuga to draw so he risks doing so.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: After all his dirty tactics, once he starts dueling seriously, Yuga and co. are surprised at how dangerous he actually is as a duelist.
* NotSoStoic: After coming to relieve Romin of house-sitting his apartment, he understandably loses it upon seeing it flooded.
* OutOfFocus: After briefly helping in the Maximum Arc, he sits the Goha 6th Arc out, not making an appearance, though he returns for the Team Battle Royale Arc.
* PerpetualSmiler: He's almost always smiling in a smug and malicious/creepy manner.
* PokeThePoodle: While his actions are harsh - his manipulation of Romin by merely holding [[spoiler: that she can't sing over her as blackmail is this.]]
* TheRival: He's the first one of these set up in the series for Yuga, not counting Luke being more of a FriendlyRival, and the one with the most ties to previous rival characters in the series. Notably he's the only character acknowledged by Otes as one who could also become the King of Duels and he's the most proactive character behind Yuga in finding out what's going on. [[spoiler: He becomes the first out of the rivals to beat Yuga in their rematch, not counting Luke and Yuga's duel after the Lukeman duel that Yuga won.]]
* SecretKeeper: Downplayed. Roa keeps Romin's secret[[spoiler:...of her being tone-deaf]] in the dark, so long as she listens to what he says.
* WhatTheHellHero: He is ''pissed'' seeing Yuga's {{Dismotivation}} traits pop up after his defeat at Neiru's hands, grabbing him by the collar and yelling at him for it. He has a more disappointed variety for Luke after [[spoiler:Luke is convinced by Yuo that he is the sixth president.]] Roa is disappointed that Luke, for all his strength, has now sunk to just lording a status over others.
* TheWorfEffect: Happens to him in Dawn of the Battle Royale, where he is crushed by Nail and his Maximum to set the stakes the Protagonist has to deal with, since the previous Garden of Providence Arc happened before the Protagonist got there.

The uncanny bassist of [=RoaRomin=].

He plays a Zombie deck related to Burn Damage and telling ghost stories.
----
* CastingAShadow: His Zombie Monsters are DARK.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Omaeno Ushirou da!". It's just him repeating his name out of fear that everyone will forget it, but the characters constantly mistake the words for "Omae no ushiro da!" (Japanese for "Behind you!").
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite working for Roa, he's not such a bad guy himself, although he is creepy and scary.
* DubNameChange: To Toombs, reflecting his preference for Zombies and ghost stories.
* EyesOutOfSight: His bangs cover his eyes at all times, highlighting his uncanny character.
* {{Foil}}: When compared to Getta. While Ushiro is DarkIsNotEvil whose creepy behavior tends to stem from how he's constantly ignored, and playing a somewhat fair game against Luke, since while Luke was creeped out by him, it didn't really impact Ushiro's hand destruction tactics. Getta on the other hand, looks comparatively normal, and from what has been seen, quite enjoys being a jerk while giving his bandmates an unfair advantage.
* ForgettableCharacter: No one outside of Roa Romin is able to remember his name, not even Yuga.
* GhostStory: His deck revolves around Japanese Ghost Stories, which he tells as he summons his monsters.
* GlassCannon: All his monsters have low ATK, and his deck relies on burn damage.
* LookBehindYou: He accidentally does this all the time, as he exclaims his PunnyName whenever someone addresses him as "him" or "you" instead of calling him by his name. Luke eventually catches on to the fact that his opponent's {{catchphrase}} was actually his full name. [[LostInTranslation Because this obviously doesn't translate into other languages]], the dub recharacterizes him as a [[TheGadfly gadfly]] who likes spooking people this way.
* NobodyLovesTheBassist: He is distraught because nobody remembers his name, and Luke promising to do so after their duel is something he appreciates. He and Getta are the least popular members of the band, which bothers him unlike Getta who doesn't seem to care. In the dub, he doesn't seem as bothered by this, even though Kaizo literally calls him and Tyler "some guy and some other guy."
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: His monsters are based on Japanese ghosts, except for Wicked Shadow - Dark Lurker, who instead looks like a typical Grim Reaper.
* PunnyName: Read in Eastern order (Omaeno Ushiro), his name is homophonous to "behind you".
* TheRuntAtTheEnd: Or rather the first, as he is the only member of [=RoaRomin=] to not have a deck based on music.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Disgruntled with Roa's selfishness during the Team Battle Royal, he and Getta abandon him and the tournament.
* WhosOnFirst: He's not telling people constantly to look behind them, that's actually his name.

The drummer of [=RoaRomin=], he notably has a big appetite. Getta plays a Thunderbeat Deck based on Drums and Thunder Beetles. He leaves [=RoaRomin=] and becomes an employee of Neiru.
----
* AffectionateNickname: Roa addresses him with the "-chan" honorific.
* AmbiguousSituation: He let himself fall into Neiru's trapdoor while swearing revenge against Roa, but is later seen hanging out with Ushiro in the Seven Hells Hall with no answer as to whether they'd reconciled.
* BigEater: Ate every snack and bento-lunch backstage with no trouble at all.
* ChekhovsSkill: His hacking, which he used to conceal information about Sevens Road Magician, later becomes the reason Neiru accepts him as a servant, and comes in handy when uncovering the identity of the person behind the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal.
* ChildhoodFriend: He and Roa have known each other since they were little.
* TheCracker: Revealed to have hacked Goha to make Sevens Road Magician appear to be illegal. He's such a good hacker that Neiru is impressed with his skills.
* TheDragon: To Roa, though he doesn't duel, being instrumental in his manipulations against Romin and hacking Goha to make Sevens look illegal.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: His beef with Roa, for leaving him as a side character, always shrugging off his feelings, and not even letting him duel in the gauntlet. Yuga and co. admit that he had a lot of patience for putting up with it as long as he did. It's so bad that when Yuga and co. meet up with him again, they initially think he's ''Ushiro''.
* ElvisImpersonator: Dresses like one while working for Neiru Saionji, even wearing a blond pompadour wig.
* FaceHeelTurn: Although he is still against Yuga and co., he goes from working for Roa to Neiru, due to his anger at Roa, since Roa has more or less undergone a HeelFaceTurn to more of a rival.
* FatBastard: On Roa's orders, he devours all of the snacks and provisions backstage so as to trigger Romin's hunger-driven berserk state, and is noted to have a fair amount of gut.
* {{Foil}}: When compared to Ushiro. While Getta looks fairly normal, he's actually a BigEater {{Jerkass}} while Ushiro looks creepy, but ultimately proves to [[DarkIsNotEvil not be that bad a person.]]
* ForgettableCharacter: Since Yuga and co. [[TheUnfought didn't duel him]], they fail to recognize him in the Garden of Providence, thinking he must be Ushiro at first until Romin corrects them. Later he isn't forgotten, but then Ushiro is forgotten by even Yuga.
* {{Jerkass}}: Had no qualms about hogging all the food for himself on Roa's orders.
* RedemptionRejection: Well, for a definition of redemption; after losing to Roa, he almost reconciles with him, only for Luke to blurt out about the drumming robot and lets himself drop into the PitTrap, swearing revenge.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Disgruntled with Roa's selfishness during the Team Battle Royal, he and Ushiro abandon him and the tournament.
* ShockAndAwe: Plays a deck of Thunder Monsters.
* ThunderBeetle: The Thunderbeat monsters are based on beetles and drums.
* TookALevelInKindness: After reconciling with Roa, he becomes much nicer, even helping out Yuga and Co on occassion.
* TheUnfavorite: Among the fans, he and Ushiro aren't popular, and he gets no focus in the band. He doesn't appear to be bothered by this at first, but it ultimately leads him to abandon Roa to work for someone who respects him - Neiru Saionji.
* TheUnfought: He was the only member of [=RoaRomin=] not to participate in the battle against Yuga and his friends in the first arc. This is part of what leads him to betray Roa and take him on himself.
* WeakButSkilled: Averted with the Thunderbeat monsters themselves which are low-level normal monsters with unimpressive ATK and DEF values. However, having them on the field enable the use of spell/trap cards with a variety of effects like powerful burn damage, monster destruction, and life point regeneration to hold the field.

[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kaizo_4.png]]

One of Yuga's many "roads", modified from a Goha Corp Drone.

As a member of [[spoiler: Goha 66]] he plays a LIGHT Machine deck based on the Corporate lifestyle. In Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS Luke! Explosive Supremacy Legend!! manga, he plays a Drone-based Machine Deck instead, using several cards based on his likeness.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: His appreciation of Nico's appearance and suggestion that Romin try out the look herself gets him this reaction from the two girls. He does this again in the BeachEpisode when Yujin comes to Goha 7th Elementary and gets thwacked aside for his trouble.
* AesopAmnesia: Played for drama. The fragment of Kaizo in the seat of the Duel Bicycle ultimately became TrueCompanions with Yuga and co. and sacrificed himself so that Yuga could create Magnum Over Road, albeit with the knowledge that Yuga would get the rest of his data back if he defeated Neiru. Consequently the rest of Kaizo did not go through these experiences and is all too happy to [[spoiler:betray them by siding with Goha 66]].
* AmbiguousSituation:
** Was shown to go unusually quiet after [[spoiler: defeating Goha's drones]], though he seemingly returns to normal without much issue. [[spoiler: It later turned out he was infected with a virus and moved what was left of his code into a [[TransformingMecha transforming]] bike[=/=]duel robot attachment Yuga made him]].
** His level of knowledge about his time as a bike seat. His rivalry with Sebastian is based on knowing this, but when told about it in the meeting between Goha 7th and 6th he reacts as though he's heard it for the first time. It's possible Yuga wiped his memory of the event, but hasn't been clarified.
* ButtMonkey: He tends to get the tedious tasks heaped on him, and Yuga casually calls him failed due to his adoration of Romin.
* CastFromHitpoints: His traps rely on using his life points as currency to debilitate his opponent's monsters.
* ComputersAreFast: Is shown to finish his turn within seconds while dueling against Goha drones. [[spoiler: And allows him and Sebastian to communicate a plan in .05 seconds so Kaizo can escape and warn Neiru.]]
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: His ace, Shining Black Corporate King Arktalk the Corrupt.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite his ridiculous behavior and quirks, he can Duel, and is capable of beating three Goha Drones in a duel so high-speed their cards can only be seen in a FreezeFrameBonus. [[spoiler: He is also the best duelist of Goha 66, almost beating Luke as opposed to getting beaten offscreen en-mass]].
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler: Of sorts. He got infected with a computer virus while dueling three other Goha-bots, implanting a false AI into his main body and leaving the remnants of his coding in a hardware upgrade Yuga created to make it easier for him to move about in.]]
* DoAnythingRobot: Not at first, but once Yuga got his hands on him, Kaizo has received many reprograms and modifications to handle a variety of tasks, whether it be to record, guide people through Duels, or even do paperwork. [[spoiler: It ultimately comes in handy when Kaizo gets infected by a computer virus that assimilates most of his coding, as it ensures that he's not totally gone, with a heavily damaged backup copy in one of said modifications (A bike-like object that also transforms to let Kaizo duel)]].
* FaceHeelTurn: Abandons Yuga and Co for [[spoiler: Goha 66]] due to his constant [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal mistreatment]]. He eventually switches back, but it's implied he's still keen for revenge, though he toes the line for now.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Romin, to the point of cheering her on over Yuga. Which is probably what prompts Yuga to reset and reprogram him at the end. Despite this, he continues to focus his attention on her much to her annoyance, though she uses this to her advantage during certain episodes to get him to comply.
* HeelFaceTurn: Though never a villain per se, after modifying Kaizo he becomes a member of the group who helps out at every turn.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He calls out Sebastian for cozying up to Asana because of her power, despite his tendency to side with Romin over Yuga (though it's unclear if Sebastian knows this).
** Of course, Kaizo doesn’t exactly like Romin because of her power, so he might just be angry that Sebastian is doing it to Asana for the wrong reasons.
* MeaningfulName: Its name is derived from the Japanese word for "remodel", 改造 (kaizō), which is appropriate given it was modified from a Goha Corp Drone, and continues to get modified whenever Yuga needs to perform some repetitive task. It's [[LampshadedTrope Lampshaded]] in the episode when he gets his name as being too literal. It also made the three Goha drones he dueled even more suspicious of him.
* MythologyGag: Kaizo leaving Yuga and co to [[spoiler: become a prominent member of a MegaCorp]], along with his plans to create more like him, is a LighterAndSofter version of [[Anime/YuGiOhVrains Ai’s path after leaving Playmaker’s faction]].
* PutOnABus: He disappears every few arcs, being captured by Neiru in the Maximum arc and leaving Yuga in the Team Battle Royal arc after getting fed up with his treatment. He [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] it in the Goha 6 Siblings arc after getting trapped in Yuo's iron maiden and blasted into space.
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: Was originally a Goha Corp drone, but was later modified by Yuga to respond to him. He also gave it more personality, though it wasn't the nicest to him in episode 3, consistently favouring Romin over Yuga and insulting him, which drives him to start rewiring Kaizo at the end of the episode 4, though Kaizo still ultimately favors Romin.
* {{Salaryman}}: His theme as a member of [[spoiler: Goha 66]] including a suit wearing robot body.
* TransformingMecha: Yuga modifies his Duel-Bicycle to add a robot form that Kaizo can duel in, though it has the detriment of burning through the energy capacity. It ends up saving Kaizo from a computer program that invades his main body, as his AI is able to preserve itself in said bicycle, though heavily damaged in the process.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: Is prone to going against what Yuga desires in favor of following Romin blindly, though the latter manipulates Kaizo into doing the group's plan anyways.
* UndyingLoyalty: Not to Yuga, but to ''Romin''. When the prospect of her being a spy comes up, he ''immediately'' switches sides to stay with her. It's PlayedForLaughs.

A performer and singer that Romin looks up to, and the same person who gifted her Prima Guitarna. She initially works for Goha Music, but after refusing to support their attempts to quash Rush Duels, is fired and strikes it out on her own. Like Romin, she also uses a Psychic Deck, spearheaded by the Omega Psychic-Type Fusion Monster Omega Guitarna the Supreme Shining Superstar.
----
* BrokenPedestal: PlayedForLaughs. Romin is shocked to find out that Princess G, the same performer and singer she looked up to in the past, is starring in a sushi drama as a guest, while carrying a huge fish.
* JuniorCounterpart: Inverted, she is a senior counterpart to Romin, being a guitarist with Psychic Monsters. She even states at one point she is a guitarist, not a singer, just like Romin did.
* TheMentor: Becomes one to Romin in the final arc helping her with her [[spoiler: solo debut after Romin lost her memories.]]
* NerdGlasses: In her disguise, her glasses look like [[Anime/YuGiOh5Ds Carly's]].
* NiceGirl: She is generous enough to give away her favorite card, refuses to back Goha in their attempts to back Rush Duels, and even [[spoiler: goes out of her way to encourage Romin.]]
* ObfuscatingStupidity: In her SenseiChan persona, she is a CuteClumsyGirl. This is lampshaded when she crashes into Mimi, who tells her to drop the act.
* TheRockStar: A professional one, though her persona is that of a CoolBigSis.
* SenseiChan: Infiltrates Goha 7th this way after she is [[spoiler: fired by Goha Music]] in order to encourage Romin's love of Rush Duels.

A girl who is dressed like a clay figure and apparently comes from an ancient civilization. She first appears to announce that Goha will hold a Rush Duel tournament.

She uses an EARTH Pyro deck based on sweets and dogu that focusses on milling her deck to summon and empower her monsters.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: The trend of "is she Sorako?" continues, with Umiko appearing right after she disappears, leaving it even more confusing.
* ButNowIMustGo: Like Sorako and Chikako before her, after her duel she has to leave, claiming she is going back to the past.
* DishingOutDirt: Her EARTH deck are based on dogu creatures though still Pyro-type.
* DudeMagnet: Charms Menzaburo due to his love of Sorako, and at the end of their duel Nick gets a crush on her too.
* IdenticalStranger: At first, Romin and Kaizo mistake her for Sorako and Chikako, respectively. Menzaburo also thought she was Sorako who came back to Earth.
* PunnyName: Her name sounds similar to the word "Kako", which means past, fitting with her claims of being from an ancient civilization.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: She denies to Menzaburo that she is Sorako and states she doesn't know anything about her or Chikako even through he only mentioned the former and in theory shouldn't even know anything about the latter.
* SweetBaker: Zigzagged, since Kakoko is an antagonist who creates a delicious Stonehenge of Sweets, but lacks the CuteAndPsycho behavior of Chikako, acting more like Sorako.
* VerbalTic: She tends to end her sentences with "Kako".
* WingdingEyes: Like the other Sorako girls, in this case Kakoko has diamonds in her eyes.

A girl who is dressed like a fish, presumably a Merperson of some sort. She takes over as announcer of the Rush Duel tournament once Kakoko Sweets left to go back to her era. Umiko plays a WATER Thunder Deck that utilizes Umi and Effect damage.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: The official website revealed that her outfit is based on a footballfish specifically.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Wants to take over Goha, but doesn't know how.
* ElectricJellyfish: The basis of her deck, though it also includes Electric Octopi.
* IdenticalStranger: She is the third girl who resembles Sorako and appeared right after Kakoko "returned" to her era.
* {{Jerkass}}: Is rude and lazy while doing her job, even when acting like a GenkiGirl like her predecessors.
* LazyBum: She hates her job at Goha, and is incredibly lazy, often not even reading her cards entirely, which makes Gakuto want to set her straight.
* MobileFishbowl: She wears a fish-themed diving helmet filled with water, but is still able to talk normally.
* NiceCharacterMeanActor: When working as an announcer for the Rush Duel tournament she’s as energetic and friendly as her lookalikes, but when Gakuto meets her she’s a foul mouthed slob who couldn’t care less about doing her job properly.
* TheRuntAtTheEnd: Unlike her counterparts, Umiko is a lazy jerkass, isn't capable of retracting into her suit or flying like the others, and doesn't use a Pyro type deck. She also parts with Gakuto on bad terms unlike the past two.
* ShockAndAwe: Thunder effect damage.
* TentacledTerror: Downplayed since she is a jerkass, but her monsters Zapzap Octospark and Showering Infernofish are octopi, with Infernofish being an Octopi mermaid.
* VerbalTic: Blub, since she is a fish.
* WingdingEyes: Like the other Sorako girls, in this case Umiko has an ichthys symbol in her eyes.

The Great-grandfather of Luke and Tiger, and the CEO of the Kamijou Gear Company. He gave Luke his watch.
----
* AwesomeAnachronisticApparel: Dresses like a Victorian Gentleman with a cane and monocle.
* BirdsOfAFeather: He and Yuga share the same passion for engineering, and Yuga even goes along with his metaphors and exultations of gears.
* BoringButPractical: In comparison to the construction company ran by Asana's grandfather in the past, Akinori's business can be seen as this. As strange as gears seem, they are an integral, basic, part of many machines, meaning that even with new companies such as Goha Corp, Kamijou Gear Company can maintain itself as OldMoney as they are extremely broad and flexible in what machines they produce.
* CloudCuckoolander: Due to being obsessed with gears, with Tiger having to shout at him to stay on track.
* CoolOldGuy: A bit gear obsessed, with his grandchildren finding him annoying, but Yuga finds him cool.
* ItRunsInTheFamily: He says things three times, is a wacky LargeHam, and is obsessed with his nickname, Gavan.
* OldMoney: Kamijou Gear Company is so old and prestigious that he considered Goha Corp to be a bunch of young upstarts.

[[folder:The☆Lukeman]]
!!The☆Lukeman
!!!'''Voiced by''': Creator/TakuYashiro (JP), Matthew Gumley (EN)

An AI created from Luke's manga that seeks to become one with him in order to recreate the story's events in real life.

He duels with Luke's deck, which he enhanced with "The☆" and the Fusion card in order to create powerful High-Dragon Types through Fusion Summon.
----
* TheAce: Even more so than Luke, having a powered-up version of his deck thanks to Fusion. He is introduced defeating Yuo, the mastermind of the arc who had just finished crushing Yuga, and then wins against Tiger, the one opponent Luke feared and didn't believe he could beat. Ironically, unlike Luke, he has lost to Yuga, albeit only through almost impossible odds.
* AceCustom: The☆Lukeman's Fusion card lacks the purple swirl the Fusion cards, Yuo and Yuga use, but this becomes a subversion once the Fusion card he uses becomes more common due to him leaving many others throughout the city after leaving the planet.
* ArtInitiatesLife: Created from Luke’s childish manga being faxed improperly by Tiger.
* ButNowIMustGo: Flies into space to seek new adventures.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To ''Anime/YuGiOhVRAINS'' Ai. Both are A.I. based on one of the main characters, share a [[DarkIsNotEvil dark color scheme]], are capable of creating new cards, [[LargeHam often act over the top]] in their duels, and are the FinalBoss in their respective arcs. While they both serve as antagonists, Ai started as an ally to Yusaku, but pulls a FaceHeelTurn out of guilt for being the SoleSurvivor of the Ignis and learning [[spoiler:Yusaku dies in the future trying to protect him]], pulling a XanatosGambit to prevent that, while The☆Lukeman comes into conflict with Yuga’s group out of a misguided desire to live out the manga Luke drew but comes to respect Yuga after their duel and parts with him on good terms. Both are also incredibly loyal to their origins and desire to be one with them, but whereas Ai tried convincing Yusaku to fuse with him, The☆Lukeman forcibly takes over Luke’s body and mind without consent.
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: He ends up crushing Yuga's hands accidentally after shaking his hand for the good duel.
* DragonInChief: He technically works under Yuo whom he defeated in a duel.
* {{Expy}}: While he is an AffectionateParody of Tokusatsu in general, the one he has the most in common with are the heroes from the ''Franchise/UltraSeries''. Following the original Ultraman's story of a being from space who bonds with a human to fight against evil together. Not to mention his "The☆" motifs resembling those of the franchise's first anime, ''Anime/TheUltraman''.
* FusionDance: Seeks to do this with Luke.
* GracefulLoser: After losing to The☆Yugaman, he frees Luke from the armor, and goes into space.
* InstantAIJustAddWater: Was originally a Presidential Drone that developed its own personality based on Luke’s childhood manga hero.
* LargeHam: Sees itself as a superhero and acts as such.
* TheMagicPokerEquation: In all three of his Duels so far he draws the same combo needed to Fusion Summon Superstrike Dragon Dragiastar F.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Created the Fusion card that Yuo used to defeat Yuga, although he isn't responsible for Yuo's plans.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Uses this in place of pronouns.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Downplayed, the Goha siblings were approaching ''before'' his creation. Still, him creating Fusion gave Yuo his most powerful weapon and allows him to start his own plan. Interestingly, it combines this with SpannerInTheWorks, since he then also defeats Yuo, forces him to try and recruit him as an ally, and ultimately wrecks his plan completely.
* WalkingSpoiler: The☆Lukeman's existence is a major twist in the Goha Siblings arc since his appearance completely derails it. And the fact he is a character of his own and not just Luke being influenced by a Goha drone reveals the major twist of the ''penultimate'' episode of the arc.
