[[folder:Benedetta, Shadow Ranger]]

Benedetta is the daughter of a soldier who served under the Second Regiment of Moniyan Empire. During an ambush, the whole Regiment perished under the demons' attack. Benedetta took up her father's sword, later named as the Alecto, and trained in hopes to avenge her father's honor. Unfortunately, the Moniyan Empire looked down on her due to her father's low rank. As opposed to Alucard, who was the son of the regiment's leader Roland, Benedetta was rejected from joining the Empire. When she applied the second time, the Empire was busy covering up the 'betrayal' of Roland, including ostracizing even Alucard himself, so Benedetta got rejected again.\

Fed up with this, Benedetta traveled to the Lantis Mountains and defeated as many demons as she could with her Alecto. It was there that she noticed that there was some human civilization resisting against the demonic invasions and continuously growing from that. While at first uninterested, eventually Benedetta recognized these civilization as the hope for mankind living in the Mountains. She joined forces with this resistance and established her own rangers squad to protect the people there, eventually recruiting other passing heroes like Brody and Aulus to keep the hope of mankind within.\

Benedetta's war is not limited to the demons within the mountains, however. At times, she looks towards the horizon, knowing that one day, she will bring her war against the corruption within the Moniyan Empire forward.

[[caption-width-right:240:''"I'm bound by nothing--be it family or destiny."'']]
->'''Voiced by:''' Hirose Ryuichi (Japanese), Creator/DaikiKobayashi (Japanese, ''Adventure'')
Gusion is born from the esteemed House Paxley, famed for its magic users. The whole house shunned those who used anything outside magic, but Gusion has always been adept in throwing daggers in addition of light magic. He didn't want to give up his dagger mastery despite the urging of everyone else, including his big brother and house head, Aamon. During his coming to age ceremony where he participated in a family-fighting contest, Gusion made a big ruckus by displaying a brazen fighting style of using his light magic to control his daggers from afar, defeating 10 pure mages and provoking them. In the end, Gusion used this chance to berate the Paxley family motto which had them rule with fear than love. The elders branded him heretic and Aamon had no choice but to expel Gusion from the house, allowing him to escape and live free from the burden of House Paxley. What the future will bring, Gusion will never know, but one thing is clear aside of his chance to travel the Land of Dawn: He certainly enjoys this newfound freedom of a life without burdens.\

Gusion is a highly technical Assassin hero, controlling his knives with magic and accurately throwing them to his targets.
* His passive is ''Dagger Specialist''. When Gusion casts a spell, he adds a rune to his dagger. He can stack up to four runes, and his next basic attack will consume all stacks to deal additional damage based on the enemy's missing HP and restores his own.
* His first skill is ''Sword Spike''. Gusion throws a dagger to a direction. It deals damage to the first enemy hit and marks them. After a successful hit, for a few seconds, Gusion can recast this skill to immediately dash behind the marked target, then deals another damage.
* His second skill is ''Shadowblade Slaughter''. Gusion throws five daggers in a cone, each dealing damage to and slowing those hit with the daggers. The slows can stack. Gusion can then recast the spell, recalling the daggers to his side, dealing lesser damage but no longer slowing.
* His ultimate is ''Incandescence''. Gusion teleports in a short distance and completely resets the cooldown of his skills. If he already put up the ''Shadowblade Slaughter'' in the map, the daggers stay, so Gusion can end up having ten daggers in the map before recalling them all. He can recast this skill shortly to dash to a direction.
----
* BirthmarkOfDestiny: It turns out that Gusion is born with a mark which will mark him to be a possession target by the Evil God of Trickery, Kalon, who made a deal with Gusion's ancestor, Valentina, to restore her dead lover. During the Heart of Anima StoryArc, Kalon succeeds, if only temporarily.
* BlueBlood: One of the more prominent heroes born from nobility, even though Gusion is technically expelled from his house.
* BoringButPractical: Gusion's ultimate doesn't look so flashy compared to his other skills. It's just a simple repositioning skill that has two charges per cast (one teleport, one dash). But, the cooldown reset are very much why Gusion is capable of bursting down his enemies with ease.
* DemonicPossession: While Gusion has no possession mechanic, during the Heart of Anima arc, the Evil God of Trickery, Kalon, used his BirthmarkOfDestiny to possess Gusion and steal the Heart of Anima for himself. Unfortunately, he underestimated Gusion's own HeroicWillpower.
* DeviousDaggers: While he's no lowly assassin, Gusion's preference on daggers also puts an emphasis on how much he's rebelling to the rigid rules of House Paxley. He really could care less about the honor of the house, in his opinions, it emphasizes on fear than love.
* DifficultButAwesome: Gusion is definitely one of the high-ceiling heroes in the game. There are many ways you can approach your enemy with your daggers and Gusion is capable of executing crazy combos with it, all while bursting down his foes then escaping unharmed. Actually controlling him and taking notes of where your daggers go? Therein the biggest challenge.
* FireForgedFriends: He didn't start out with Lesley on good terms, because they first met when she's hunting down the Heart of Anima that was in his possession after. Then the forces of Abyss attack them both and they get stranded in a cave, where they have to combine their strength to escape. When they get out, respect and crush have been formed between them, so Gusion manages to make Lesley declare a truce about Heart of Anima.
* GlassCannon: Gusion's combos are capable of taking down squishy heroes in no time, and he has quick ways to get in, kill and get out. If he's caught and cornered? His limited sustain will not help him survive much.
* LightEmUp: Though not too emphasized, light always trails wherever Gusion's daggers fly. This is because Gusion uses magic to actually control the daggers rather than conventional dagger-throwing.
* MagicKnight: He's good with both light magic and dagger-fighting. Gusion would rather die than give up any when his family pressured him to abandon the daggers.
* MrFanservice: One of the more outwardly handsome young heroes in the game without looking too effeminate (like Lancelot). While no one knows if he's ripped beneath his clothes or not, Gusion's pretty face is enough to attract many female players.
* NiceToTheWaiter: Gusion always treated the family servants with kindness when his other family members look down on them. As a result, they always tried to cover his rebellious antics, at least until he's expelled in his coming of age ceremony.
* OfficialCouple: He has a crush on Lesley, while she also had a crush on him.
* RebelPrince: He used to be a prince of an esteemed noble house. He rebelled against their rigid system that shunned non-magic users and struck out on his own (granted, Aamon had a hand in helping him get out).

[[folder:Hanzo, Akuma Ninja]]
[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_hanzo.png]]
[[caption-width-right:240:"Hahahahahaha! The strongest ninja has arrived."]]
Hanzo was once the top leader of the Shadow sect ninja of the Cadia Riverlands. However, he hid a terrible secret: He was secretly feeding ninjas he killed to a demon known as the Hanekage. It was created by the forefathers of ninjas, the Akakage, to reach the pinnacle of ninjutsu by transferring their negative emotions to one being. Hanzo met and fused with its progenies after its main body was sealed by the previous Akakage within the sacred sword known as Ame-no-Habakiri. To achieve more power and reaching the pinnacle of ninjutsu, Hanzo stole the Ame-no-Habakiri and eventually left to wander the Land of Dawn, looking for more strong people to be fed to Hanekage so he could reach the pinnacle of ninjutsu and be the strongest ninja there is.\

Hanzo is an Assassin hero who lurks in the jungle and feeds the souls of his enemies to his dark sword, to which he will unleash dark ninjutsu to eliminate his main targets while hiding in a safe place.
* His passive is ''Ame no Habakiri'', his sword. Hanzo uses a special meter called ''Demon Blood''. He fills up a small portion of Demon Blood if he's near a non-hero enemy dying. If he's near a hero dying, he gains ten times the amount of ''Demon Blood''.
* His first skills depend on whether he's in the ''Demon Pneuma'' mode (to be described in his Ultimate section) or not. To use these abilities, Hanzo must execute 5 normal attacks and he has to use them after a period of time before they become sealed again.
** In the base state, it's ''Ninjutsu: Demon Feast''. Hanzo summons the Ame no Habakiri to devour a target jungle creep, killing them instantly. Over time, the creep will be digested into 10-20 ''Demon Blood'', depending on the type of creep.
** In his ''Demon Pneuma'' state, it's ''Ninjutsu: Demon Thorn''. Hanzo's phantom buries itself to the ground and charges forward, knocking those in the line airborne and damaging them based on their HP. He gains 10 ''Demon Blood'' for this. The damage for this skill is reduced against non-hero units.
* His second skills depend o whether he's in the ''Demon Pneuma'' mode or not. However, Hanzo can execute these skills as long as they're not in cooldown.
** In his base state, it's ''Ninjutsu: Soul Reap''. Hanzo summons a set of demon spikes in one circular area, dealing damage. If there's an enemy hit with the initial spikes, more spikes will be summoned up to 8 times in the same area. They deal lesser damage per strike, but also slow down those inside the area. The spikes will stop appearing if no one is in the area of effect. Each unit that's hit with one strike grants him 1 ''Demon Blood''.
** In his ''Demon Pneuma'' state, it's ''Ninjutsu: Devastator''. Hanzo's phantom blinks to an area and unleashes demon spikes similar to ''Ninjutsu: Soul Reap''. This also triggers basic attack effects and can unlock the ''Ninjutsu: Demon Thorn'' seals (one seal per hit). However, Hanzo's phantom must stay in place. Moving, attacking, or recasting the skill will cancel the skill. Thankfully, it's untargetable during channeling.
* His ultimate is ''Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja''. Hanzo immediately gains 25 ''Demon Blood'' and chants, summoning a phantom of himself referred as his ''Demon Pneuma''. The player then gains control of this ''Demon Pneuma'' while Hanzo's original body stays in the original position. This action will switch Hanzo's active skill. The ''Demon Pneuma'' phantom has increased attack and movement speed, can pass through terrains, but its physical and magical defenses are reduced. During this phase, Hanzo loses 10 ''Demon Blood'' per second. If he runs out of ''Demon Blood'', Hanzo's original body will move and merge with the phantom, so he will return to normal in the position of the ''Demon Pneuma''. Hanzo can cancel this phase early, to which he has a choice on where to wake up immediately: His original position or the location of his phantom. There will be a trail linking between the original body and the phantom, and Hanzo's original body is vulnerable. If his original body runs out of HP, then his phantom perishes too. But if it's his phantom that runs out of HP, Hanzo immediately returns to his original body, stunned for 3 seconds and has to spend 8 seconds (stun time included) with reduced movement speed, physical and magical defense, and his location revealed to all.

----
* AmbitionIsEvil: His ambition is simple enough: [[ToBeAMaster Be the best ninja.]] But there's just no limits of lows he will sink into to get into that point.
* AnimeHair: His hairs don't just defy gravity by standing up... they also got an unnatural red color.
* ArchEnemy: He's the greatest enemy to all ninja characters: Hayabusa, Hanabi and Kagura want a piece of him for causing troubles to their home and trying to bring his terror to the whole Land of Dawn. And especially Hayabusa, because [[YouKilledMyFather Hanzo killed his brother.]]
* {{BFS}}: He wields the Ame-no-Habakiri, a very ''huge'' sword that makes him stand out compared to ninjas out there.
* ButForMeItWasTuesday: Hayabusa has a special enmity against Hanzo because of how Hanzo killed his brother. But for Hanzo, he's fought and killed so many ninjas that the brother was nothing special; he doesn't even know the brother's name.
* EatingTheEnemy: One of his skills allows him to summon Hanekage to immediately kill a creep by devouring it on spot. This makes Hanzo very good in stealing jungle creeps.
* HatedByAll: Hanzo is extremely unpleasant that he stands as a hero who doesn't have any positive relationships, he only has enemies (Hayabusa, Kagura, Hanabi). Even some heroes in the Abyss forces have positive relationships.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: That demonic looking armor and sword really don't help Hanzo in terms of stealth; it makes him stand out even more.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: He's named after one of history's most known SamuraiShinobi: UsefulNotes/HattoriHanzo.
* {{Ninja}}: He's another token ninja of the game. Unlike Hayabusa or Hanabi, however, he's a straightforward evil villain.
* ToBeAMaster: [[DeconstructedTrope Deconstructed.]] [[TheUnfettered Nothing will stop Hanzo in his quest to be the best ninja there is.]] Even if it involves getting possessed by a demon, killing his own kinsmen or feeding people throughout the continent to said demon.

[[folder:Hayabusa, Crimson Shadow]]
[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_hayabusa.png]]
[[caption-width-right:240:''隼、参上!/Hayabusa, sanjou!''[[note]]Hayabusa has arrived![[/note]]]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Gaku Space (EN), Kazumasa Fukagawa (JP), Takahiro Enoi (Japanese, ''Adventure'')
Current leader of the Shadow ninja sect of the Cadia Riverlands' Scarlet Shadow ninja. Hayabusa looked up to his elder brother, who was set to be the leader at the time, while he sparred with Scarlet Sect's Hanabi (and won) while also playing with his childhood friend, the young, newest Onmyouji master, Kagura. Hayabusa's cheerful disposition turned gloomy when his brother announced that he would be away for a long time on a major mission and then never returned. Hayabusa later learned that his brother was murdered by the rogue ninja Hanzo. When he came of age, he was declared the new leader and departed with one mission: to kill Hanzo before he could do more harm as well as avenge his brother. Hayabusa is not alone, however. Kagura insists on tagging along with him, and behind them, Hanabi also tails behind to prove herself and maybe help him finish his mission.\

Hayabusa is an Assassin hero who employs a variety of ninja skills to deceive his enemies and quickly eliminate them.
* His passive is ''Ninjutsu: Trace of Shadow''. When Hayabusa damages an enemy with a normal attack or skills, he stacks a ''Shadow Mark'' on the enemy he hits up to six times. While the mark is active, Hayabusa deals extra damage when he attacks that enemy again.
* His first skill is ''Ninjutsu: Phantom Shuriken''. Hayabusa throws three shurikens in a cone and they come back to him like boomerangs, also slowing enemies hit with them. Hitting an enemy hero restores his energy. Passively, he gains natural spell vamp.
* His second skill is ''Ninjutsu: Quad Shadow''. Hayabusa dashes forward in a direction while releasing four shadow clones. If the clone hits an enemy hero, it will attach itself to the enemy, slowing them down. Hayabusa will stop the dash if he hits an enemy hero. He can recast the skill again to teleport to an existing shadow. If the shadow Hayabusa teleports to has attached itself to an enemy hero, he deals damage and reduces the cooldown of his first skill.
* His ultimate is ''Ougi: Shadow Kill''. Hayabusa vanishes. Then he starts striking enemies multiple times without fail. He'll usually change targets if there are nearby enemies, but he will prioritize whoever has a ''Shadow Mark'' on them. Each strike will consume one ''Shadow Mark''.
----
* ActorAllusion: One of his ultimate activation voice is "喰らえ/KURAE!", similar to his voice actor's other work in [[VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} a competitive game, where he had a ninja saying "竜神の剣を喰らえ/RYUUJIN NO KEN O KURAE!!"]]
* AnimeHair: His hair defies gravity by standing up.
* ArchEnemy: He despises Hanzo for not only violating ninja tenets, but also stealing a highly dangerous artifact for power and [[YouKilledMyFather murdering his brother.]]
* ArtEvolution: One of the heroes that was remodeled over time. Beforehand, Hayabusa used to wear a ninja helmet to cover his hair.
* BigBrotherWorship: Hayabusa adores his brother and thinks that anything he does, his brother can do better. Unfortunately, his brother died prematurely and Hayabusa is out for {{Revenge}} on the killer (Hanzo).
* CynicismCatalyst: Downplayed. Hayabusa, in the past, was a cheerful kid who liked playing, in addition to training as a ninja. He looked more like a Shounen kid hero back then. And then his brother died, and Hayabusa became a lot more focused and serious. He's still not evil or overly edgy thanks to the support of Kagura, but the ninja kid who liked to play around is gone.
* DoppelgangerAttack: Hayabusa's shadow clones usually stays in place. But if the shadow hits an enemy hero while traveling to its designated place, the shadow instead deals damage, and Hayabusa deals extra damage if he teleports to said shadow.
* FragileSpeedster: Hayabusa can't deal much damage outright, and placing marks on enemies can be daunting when he's very squishy when he's caught. However, he can maneuver the battlefield easily with his dash and teleporting around, and he turns into a GlassCannon when he actually marks his enemies properly and executes his ultimate.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Subverted. He wears a black outfit, keeps his spiky hair on the loose, and does not have an invisibility skill. However, Hayabusa at least makes an effort to trick his enemies into thinking he's never there, thanks to his shadow clones and excelling in hit and run tactics. He also cannot be targeted when he's using his ult.
* HitAndRunTactics: Hayabusa's second skill allows him to dash, poke an enemy, and escape unharmed by teleporting to the shadow clones he left behind. And he can even go back to the enemy to hit them again... then runs away again. Mastering this tactic forms a core to Hayabusa's poking and fighting style.
* LoveTriangle: He's on top of the triangle between Kagura and Hanabi.
* {{Ninja}}: Looking at his design, weaponry, fighting style, and story, there is no doubt that Hayabusa ''is'' a ninja.
* ObliviousToLove: He really has no idea that both Kagura and Hanabi are competing for his affection. Hayabusa is too focused on trying to be the Akakage and avenging his brother by defeating Hanzo.
* ShoutOut: He is meant to be a homage to one of video games' most famous ninjas, [[VideoGame/NinjaGaiden Ryu Hayabusa]]. At least the Hayabusa over here at least makes an effort to be less visible.

->'''Voiced by:''' Naoko Nokubi (Japanese), Creator/ManakaIwami (Japanese, ''Adventure'')

A Dark Elf, a variant of elves that lived in the Shadow Swamp in peace until the Shadow Abyss invaded, corrupted, and enslaved all the people there. Karina worked as a cold-blooded assassin who killed whoever she was told to, and getting paid a good sum of money for it. She used the money to go back home and provide for her only family, her little sister Selena. While cold to everyone, Karina was warm-hearted to Selena and saw her as the only comfort in her cruel life; she always needed a place to go back home to. She even told the clan leader to hide her brutal job from the innocent Selena. As time passed, Selena grew more curious and snuck out of home out of concern of Karina's increasingly dangerous job that she came home battered and bruised. She was attacked by demons and Karina was forced to reveal her job, slaying the demons to protect her. Selena innocently decided to grow strong to be on the same level as Karina, so she asked for training by the clan leader. However, the clan leader has been thoroughly corrupted by the Shadow Abyss, so he instead offered her as a sacrifice to the Lord of Abyss. Karina was too late to prevent her sister's corruption and was driven away by her own sister. Now, Karina wanders the Land of Despair, killing all demons she can find as vengeance to what happened to her sister. She hopes to grow even stronger, that one day she will rescue her sister from the darkness she has gotten into.\

Karina is an Assassin hero specializing in refreshing her skills so she can continuously slice and dice her targets until none remains.
* Her passive is ''Shadow Combo''. If Karina hits the same target three times, the third strike deals bonus true damage scaling with the enemy's lost HP (and a flat number). If she does this to an enemy hero, her non-ultimate skills have their cooldowns reduced.
* Her first skill is ''Dance of Blades''. Karina starts flourishing her blade, gaining movement speed. During this state, she is immune to all normal attacks and reflects any of them back while also dealing damage. She can end this period by executing her own basic attack or ultimate. Once that ends, her next basic attack deals extra damage and slows her target.
* Her second skill is ''Dance of Death''. Karina attacks with her blade by spinning, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
* Her ultimate is ''Shadow Assault''. Karina selects a target hero and dashes to them, dealing damage, marking them with a ''Shadow Mark'' and leaves a ''Shadowform'' behind the hero. Karina can re-activate the skill to dash to the ''Shadowform'', dealing damage to everyone in her path. If the marked hero dies, the skill cooldown is reset.
----
* CooldownManipulation: Both her passive and ultimate allows her to reduce her cooldown in various manners. Since one of them involve killing a hero for a complete reset, Karina is often the go-to hero to clean up a fight, causing a TotalPartyKill on her enemy team.
* DarkIsNotEvil: She's a dark elf and also a cold-blooded killer. She still opposes the Abyss, although not for altruism, but because she has been wronged.
* DualWielding: She wields two identical double-headed blade to kill off her oppositions.
* {{Expy}}: As one of the earlier heroes from the older builds of the game where the plagiarism was still rather blatant, Karina was meant to be an off-shoot of [[VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends Katarina]] (just remove the 'ta' in her name), as the cold-blooded assassin lady who excels in resetting her own cooldown as she kills enemy heroes. While their kits are different (and Karina's story deviates more into a tragedy), the spirit is the same.
* ForGreatJustice: Downplayed. One of her quotes is "For justice!", but personality-wise, Karina is really uninterested in the lofty terms of fighting for justice (unlike some, like Clint). It's only after you set the language to Japan that there's a justification of why she says that line: It is rendered into "Justice isn't the means. It's the result." Which means, if she kills off demons, she gets justice/vengeance for what they did to her beloved Selena as a bonus. Her justice is very self-interested.
* HitmanWithAHeart: She's a coldblooded killer when doing her duties. But when off-duty and especially in front of her sister, Karina is basically a CoolBigSis.
* MoralityPet: Selena is the only warmth in her life that she wants to protect at all costs. To Karina's horror, Selena ends up corrupted when she tries to be strong like her sister, all because Karina was forced to reveal her job to protect her.
* MortonsFork: If Karina had not revealed her job to her sister, Selena would have died by the monsters. But it was precisely because she did that that Selena decided to be strong and ended up corrupted. Either way, Karina just can't win.
* PromotionToParent: Karina is practically the mother figure in her family, with just her own sister as the 'child' (she was way younger). She had no interest in marriage, and [[StrugglingSingleMother she took on dangerous killing jobs just to provide for her family.]]
* PunchClockVillain: Back then, she only became a killer for hire because the paycheck was good and she wants to provided for her sister.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After Selena's corruption, Karina spent her time killing every demons she came across. The same demons that enslaved her race. All because she wants revenge for what they have done to her only family.

[[folder:Lancelot, Blade of Roses]]
[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_lancelot.png]]
[[caption-width-right:240:''"Thorns remain, should petal fall."'']]
->'''Voiced by:''' Marc Elmer (English), Yuimi Fukuda (Japanese), Creator/ShunHorie (Japanese, ''Adventure'')

Lancelot is the eldest son of the Duke of Baroque in the Moniyan Empire, making him the big brother of Guinevere. He's talented in swordplay and some magic, but also inherited his father's snobbish attitude. They had a falling out after his father made plans to marry him off to another house to patch up House Baroque's ailing finances. Lancelot is a man who values freedom, so he opposed the plan, defeated his father in a duel and wandered through the land as a wandering duelist, entering competitions to earn money and making a name of himself due to his elegant and powerful sword fighting style.\

During a tavern brawl, while being drunk, Lancelot saves Odette from being harassed. Then he passes out from his injuries. He is taken to the Swan Castle, Odette's home, where Odette heals him. Lancelot pays her back by teaching her sword play and telling the stories of his adventures. At first, he tells conceited, bombastic and impossible stories. Over time he falls in love for real and feels guilty for lying to her. So instead, his latter stories becomes more realistic, but also contains his pure passion, accompanied with musics he personally plays. When Lancelot fully recovers, he hears that Odette has been busy with a proposal for her. Slightly heartbroken, he departs with a letter to Odette, stating that he will travel the world and one day will return and tell her his true feelings. Lancelot has no idea that the proposal might be between him and Odette by the plans of his father, but as of now, he seeks a new battlefield to prove himself further.\

Lancelot is a fabulous Assassin hero who dashes around the battlefield stylishly with rapier at hand, stabbing and eliminating his targets with impunity and elegance.
* His passive is ''Soul Cutter''. Lancelot temporarily gains extra damage if he uses a skill that makes him blink or dash. This can stack up to 30% extra damage.
* His first skill is ''Puncture''. Lancelot dashes forward and thrusts his enemy with his rapier, dealing damage and putting a ''Sword Mark'' on his target which lasts for several seconds. Successfully putting a ''Sword Mark'' immediately resets the skill's considerably long cooldown, but he cannot stack a ''Sword Mark''. If an enemy hit with the skill is already marked, then the cooldown is not reset.
* His second skill is ''Thorned Rose''. Lancelot becomes untargetable as he dashes to a triangular area and attacking the enemies within that area. The enemies who are in the center of the area takes extra damage and is slowed. However, this skill's damage is reduced if multiple enemies are in the area.
* His ultimate is ''Phantom Execution''. Lancelot charges up, then he lunges to a direction, thrusting everyone in his way for massive damage. During this whole sequence, Lancelot is invincible.
----
* CampStraight: Lancelot is ''so'' pretty and acts fabulously, you may even think that he's gay. However, he's completely straight as his romance story with Odette forms a big bulk of his background.
* TheChewToy: During his younger days, Lancelot usually became the guinea pig for his sister, Guinevere, as she learned her magic, therefore he's bullied a lot. Lancelot still loves her like a big brother, but he usually freezes whenever the 'bullying' is mentioned.
* FlorenceNightingaleEffect: Lancelot fell for Odette after she nursed him back to health while also being innocent to a fault.
* GlassCannon: One of the more notorious assassin/junglers in the game. Lancelot is empowered by his dashes, which he does a lot. Therefore, he can zip around the battlefield and as long as he hits a target (that hasn't been marked by his own dash), he will be able to continuously dash and evade his pursuers. In addition, he can turn either untargetable or invincible by using one of his skills when the usual dash is not available. Catching an expert Lancelot is an arduous task, but if he's caught with all of his chips already down, it wouldn't take long to bring him down.
* TheHero: [[LampshadedTrope Lampshaded.]] Lancelot fancies himself as the dashing hero who vanquishes evil. He embelishes himself up as one to impress Odette, but his heart is still in the right place. After he grows to love her genuinely, Lancelot tones down his 'heroic exploit stories' for more grounded stories, but still contains a lot of love and passion. However, on the grand scale of the Land of Dawn, he's not ''the'' hero. He's just a hero amongst many heroes. To rev his status more, several of his quotes take note of the trope and how he's 'fighting evildoers'.
-->''I have no sympathy to spare for evildoers.''\
''To be a hero, I had to sacrifice my love for the harp.''
* LadykillerInLove: Shortly before meeting Odette, Lancelot has been a notorious playboy as an expression of his freedom. But then, he fell in love for real with Odette.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Lancelot inherits the snobbish attitude of his father and he definitely lies about his stories with Odette. However, conscience quickly comes knocking and Lancelot becomes more genuine with Odette. Additionally, he forms genuine friendships with others, although he's not above criticizing Chou's clothing style when compared to a nobleman like him. And he definitely tries to be a good big bro to Guinevere.
* RebelPrince: Lancelot is supposed to inherit House Baroque by getting married to another. But he loves his freedom too much that he defies it by beating his dad in a duel and running away.
* RoyalRapier: His trademark weapon, the Blade of Roses, is of the stabbing rapier type. It shows as the noble Lancelot possesses a fighting style that involves tons of stabbing and thrusting.
* SomethingAboutARose: An incredibly romantic and fabulous man wouldn't be complete without roses. Luckily, Lancelot has that aplenty.

Ling is the first of the Great Dragon's disciples. Back then, he was always the better fighter compared to the newcomer Zilong. And yet, Ling was not chosen to be the inheritor, and instead it was Zilong who was chosen. Frustrated, Ling left the Dragon Altar and eventually enlisted to the assassin group, Finch. With his pure skills and aptitude, he earned the title "Cyan Finch", given only to the best assassin of the group. Eventually, he is hired by a certain Yu Zhong to assault the Dragon Altar; a task Ling accepts based on his grudge. He duels Zilong to a tie, but eventually is reminded of his good times as friends and Zilong's kind heart makes him bury the hatchet and rejoin the Great Dragon, now realizing that Yu Zhong is just using him and his Finch to reclaim the reverse scale of the Black Dragon. Even after Yu Zhong escapes, Ling now stays in his original home as one of the Oriental Fighters to prepare for Yu Zhong's next assault.

Ling is a swift and nimble Assassin hero who jumps between and walks on walls before striking from the air with precise sword strikes
* His passive is ''Cloud Walker''. Ling's Energy, known as ''Lightness Point'', can be recovered faster when he stays on wall, and he regains even more when he deals damage. This passive also gives Ling double critical chance increase from all sources, but he only can deal 140% critical damage.
* His first skill is ''Finch Poise''. Passively, Ling increases his own critical chances permanently. When used, Ling jumps to a wall and he can walk there. He enters a half-stealth state until he is damaged and can move faster. If he somehow gets crowd-controlled, Ling falls off from the wall and get slowed. He can use this skill again to jump off from one to another wall.
* His second skill is ''Defiant Sword''. On the ground, Ling dashes to a direction and stabs a nearby enemy when he finishes dashing. Ling can use this while walking on wall, whereas he will instead leap from the wall and strike an area. All enemies caught will be slowed down. This skill counts as a basic attack and thus will procure item effects. If the skill's wall strike somehow procures critical hit, the targets will receive worse movement speed penalty.
* His ultimate is ''Tempest of Blades''. Ling leaps to the sky, becoming invincible and gaining slight movement speed increase. Meanwhile, swords gracefully dance in the air and lands together with Ling, forming a circle and dealing damage. Those at the center of Ling's landing point will be knocked up in the air. The sword dance also leaves behind four swords on the edges of the circle, forming a square. Ling can pick up these swords by moving to them, which will reduce the cooldown for ''Finch Poise'', reset the cooldown of ''Defiant Sword'' and instantly restore some ''Lightness Point''

----
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Ling is really good with a sword. However, he's a bit of a standoffish guy who only concentrated on his swordplay, unlike Zilong who took his time to help the commonfolk and being a NiceGuy. It got him passed for inheritance.
* DifficultButAwesome: Up there with Gusion as one of the most demanding heroes in the game. When used as is, Ling's skills might not be something too heavy to write about. But, he has unmatched mobility thanks to being able to jump off a wall and travel even faster thanks to his wall-walking, and if he has designated you as a prey, he can just leap down and obliterate the target. And then there's his ultimate, where with fast hand, Ling can decidedly obliterate an area without being touched at all by just using his pick-up swords. But doing that requires extreme finger dexterity, knowledge on where to dash continuously and pick up the swords without fail, and awareness of when to stop, or else the enemy escapes or [[GlassCannon Ling gets easily bombarded to death.]] He's one of the most used heroes by pro players for a reason.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: The only hint of his male status is that he has a slightly deeper voice. But other than that, you can easily mistake Ling for a girl.
* TheFourGods: Of the Oriental Fighters, he represents the Vermillion Bird/Zhuque/Suzaku. It may not look obvious at first because he wears blue. However, his fighting style involves jumping from wall to wall and walking above them, like a bird flying from perch to perch and waiting to dive and snatch its prey below.
* GenderBlenderName: "Ling" is typically a name you find in girls. He's a DudeLooksLikeALady.
* HeelFaceTurn: He used to be an antagonist with a grudge against the Dragon Altar. One duel with Zilong later, he has a change of heart and becomes a good guy.
* HiredGuns: The Finch is a group of assassins for hire, and Ling happens to be the best one the group has to offer, hence his title "Cyan Finch". In that fateful day, he got hired by... Yu Zhong.
* TheLancer: Fits this position in [[FiveManBand the Oriental Fighters group]], as he's the opposite of Zilong: A cold and calculating swordsman/assassin who used to have a feud with Zilong. Also pulls a double-duty as TheSmartGuy, while he isn't magically inclined, he's usually very calculating in battles, being able to set up ambushes as the Finch member.
* MasterSwordsman: An expert of sword play and able to make swords dance around him.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue Oni to Zilong's red. Ling is cool-headed, but also the more arrogant one in a cold manner.

Natalia was orphaned from the war and she was raised as a little girl by the Monastery of Light. Natalia was trained into becoming one of the Light assassins. This young phenom had risen to become the top assassin for the monastery, via her outstanding talents, However, on one assassination mission she failed in her execution causing her companions to meet with unprecedented disaster and death. To prove herself again, she exiled herself to the outskirts of the land, far from the Moniyan Empire and the Monastery of Light, to carry out more dangerous missions. It is never known who her target is or where she might strike next.

----
* DifficultButAwesome: You have a passive skill that allows her to get dangerously close to anyone and lower their life points to a vulnerable position or if you're in an ideal situation straight up kill anyone and get away alive while also causing silence so they can't even attack to defend themselves. The drawback? Every single time you attack you have to make a relatively complex combo for both situations, hit and run or killing off a target, any mistake could be your end there's also the trying not to run out of cloak or getting found.
* TheDreaded: Even post balance tweaks players default to ban her because a good Natalia is something most casual players cant deal with, and in some cases a team could be composed of heroes with poor matchups against her.
* FragileSpeedster: Gains speed while invisible and attack speed while in her smoke bomb's area, she's also very weak and can only fight head on under her smoke's protection.
* GlassCannon: Low health bar but get distracted and your done for.
* NotTheIntendedUse: Her buffs while inside her smoke area are so strong that she is very good at split pushing,if for whatever reason everyone just wiped down the map she could use the opportunity to seriously weaken or just flat out destroy the enemy tower, it's really that good.
* TheSneakyGuy: One of the heroes who has an in-built stealth and her gameplay is about sneaking to an out of position enemy and then eliminate them with impunity. Unusually to the genre, Natalia is usually not considered a jungler due to her lack of efficient creep-eliminating tool. She's instead a Roamer who goes around the map and bringing terror throughout.

Brilliant scientist of Eruditio, married to fellow scientist Lilian. Nolan specializes in researching the multiverse in hopes to find a bright future for Eruditio. However, his research leads him to a cosmic threat called 'The Calamity'. To counter that, Nolan begins a project known as 'The Infinite Gateway' to seal The Calamity and hopefully disperse it to the void of the multiverse. During this time, Lilian gives birth to Nolan's daughter: Layla. Nolan gives her an amulet as an anchor in case his mission goes awry.\

Once the Infinite Gateway is completed, Nolan and Lilian steps into it bravely, but Nolan's amazement eventually turned into despair as they realize that The Calamity is too much to contain and will be heading to the Land of Dawn in alarming speed. Lilian, however, sacrifices herself as part of her determination and believing that there's something Nolan can do in her stead. Lilian's sacrifice succeeds in stalling The Calamity, but Nolan is left stranded in the void of space, and he stops aging.\

Stranded in the space, Nolan separates his souls into pieces and uses them as weapons and beacons to attract The Calamity's pieces and sending them to void from every universes. For that he has to avoid contact with both Eruditio and the grown up Layla. Eventually he succeeds, but thankfully he's somehow saved by a mission undertaken by Layla and the Eruditio Rangers. Finally, Nolan can enjoy the fruits of his efforts.\

Nolan is a dimension-jumping Assassin hero who cuts through the fabrics of dimension to exterminate his target on short notice.
* His passive is ''Dimensional Rift''. When Nolan casts a skill, he leaves behind a cut spatial rift which stays for awhile and slows enemies that come to contact with it. If two rifts come to contact, after a short delay, they explode, deal damage and pull enemies caught in the explosion. The explosion also restores Nolan's Energy meter if they hit enemy heroes or creeps. The same enemy hit with multiple explosions will have reduced damage after the first explosion. In the same time, after a few seconds of not attacking, Nolan enhances his normal attack to dash to the target and pierces his enemy while creating a rift.
* His first skill is ''Expansion''. Nolan slashes in a square area in front of him, slowing and dealing damage to those in range.
* His second skill is ''Gauge''. Nolan dashes to a direction, dealing damage to everyone in his way.
* His ultimate is ''Fracture''. Nolan cleanses all the debuffs on him, slashes three times in front to leave 3 rifts, then slashes again while dashing backwards.
----
* ActionDad: He's the father of the one of the game's poster girls, and he is a very adept fighting. Heck, the reason he goes along with his plan to stave off the Calamity is to ensure a good future for his daughter.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: To secure a future for Eruditio and Land of Dawn, all Nolan had to do was to get stranded in space, lose his beloved wife, not being able to watch his daughter grow up nicely or even go back to his hometown, wander alone through the multiverse for ''16 years'', and separate his souls into pieces within the multiverse just to contain the Calamity, then throw all of them to the empty space of the void, resigning himself to death. All that said, his efforts pays off and Layla saves him in the nick of time, and thus Nolan can resume his old life in the future that he protected (though Lilian is still gone to make it come true).
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: In a most ironic way possible, Nolan is a loving father to Layla. But should they be on separate team, Nolan will prove himself to be one of the heroes that can easily delete Layla owing to his burst damage, mobility as well as Layla's lack of mobility (Unless Layla bought a Wind of Nature to prevent any physical damage). Nowhere did it say that Nolan spanks a naughty Layla as a form of discipline.
* HappilyMarried: His marriage with Lilian is known to be one of the most harmonious marriages in the Land of Dawn. Too bad Lilian sacrifices herself to delay the Calamity.
* PowerOfTheVoid: Harnessed the power of void by staying in the space of the multiverse and it shows that he cuts through the space of void to damage his enemies.
* ScienceHero: Deadly assassin, and also a genius scientist straight from Eruditio itself.
* SpamAttack: Generally known for having extremely low cooldown on his skills that he really doesn't need cooldown reduction. However, he also runs on energy, so while he can spam his skills, he needs to know when to stop, his resources are finite and hard to recover naturally, barring going back to the base.
* WhenYouComingHomeDad: Dad's busy staving off a multiversal level threat, so he won't be coming home to spend time with the daughter, Layla, for... ''16 years''. (That's why he left Layla in her grandfather's care and asked him to play along with the story of 'dead father')

Duan Meng was a talented swordsman from the Cadia Riverlands' Tianyin Swordmaster Sect, taught by an apprentice of the Great Dragon, Master Longma. However, finding no more worthy opponents, Duan Meng decided to descend the mountains against Master Longma's reservations. After traveling and defeating various swordsmen in Cadia Riverlands, Duan Meng finally found someone who could beat him: Zhixu. Even as Duan Meng trained hard to surpass him, Zhixu trained even harder and swiftly beat Duan Meng.\

Duan Meng then decided to venture outside the Cadia Riverlands and heard rumors about Eruditio's Laboratory 1718 looking for test subjects that could make one stronger. Duan Meng volunteered, unaware that the scientists under Doctor Octavius only wanted him as their pawn to eliminate threats against them. Duan Meng underwent operation to turn him into a cyborg and was given the codename he's known for: Saber. In process, he lost his memories\

Saber is then used as intended by Laboratory 1718, an unfeeling killing machine to eliminate those who threaten them. However, using his swords slowly trigger his past memories as Duan Meng and makes Saber question his past. Eventually, one night, he severs his neural control implant on his head, and leaves the lab. All he remembers is that he used to have a WorthyOpponent and wants to be the best swordsman by defeating him. While he deters pursuers from Laboratory 1718, Saber continues his quest to reclaim his own identity.\

Saber is an Assassin hero specializing in singling out one enemy and use his swordsmanship and orbiting blades from his mechanical enhancement to kill his target in one swift strike.
* His passive is ''Enemy's Bane''. When Saber damages his enemy via skills or normal attack, he reduces their physical defense. He can stack this effect up to 5 times.
* His first skill is ''Orbiting Swords''. Saber summons five shurikens that orbit around him for five seconds before returning to him. Those touching the sword will receive damage. When the shurikens are around, if Saber attacks an enemy, one shuriken will also strike his target in a line, dealing extra damage and reducing the second skill's cooldown. Other enemies struck with the shuriken after the first one will take lesser damage.
* His second skill is ''Charge''. Saber dashes and strikes enemies along the line, dealing damage to them. After dashing, his next normal attack will deal extra damage and slow down enemies.
* His ultimate is ''Triple Sweep''. Saber dashes and homes to a target enemy. Once he reaches them, he launches them to the air and delivers a three hit combo that eventually knocks them back to the ground, each dealing damage and will also trigger the ''Orbiting Swords'' being launched to the target.
----
* AmbushingEnemy: Saber does this role exceptionally well, so much that if you are a squishy Marksman or Mage, walking near a bush always runs a risk of Saber suddenly popping up with his signature {{Combo}}[[note]]Activate ''Orbiting Swords'' -> Autoaim a target with ''Triple Sweep'' -> If that hasn't killed the target, chase with ''Charge'' and finish with normal attack.[[/note]] and eliminates any squishy heroes foolish enough to walk without checking bushes.
* {{Cyborg}}: Duan Meng was once full human, but he lets himself undergo process to become a cyborg swordsman.
* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: Saber comes to realize that his cyborgification ends up making him forget about how he wants to be the best swordsman. So one day, he tore off his neural control implant. He's still a cyborg, but he can rediscover his life with ease now.
* DiscOneNuke: Saber is famous for being such an easy-to-obtain hero, and his gameplay is pretty basic for a jungler. However, [[SimpleYetAwesome that simplicity allows him to delete an opposing squishy hero in such a short time without fail.]]
* DualWielding: The Tianyin Swordmaster Sect teaching got him to master the arts of wielding two blades at once.
* MasterSwordsman: Rivaling Ling as the token Chinese MasterSwordsman. Saber has the advantage of technological enhancement, but in the end, he still carries the swordsmanship of Tianyin Swordsmaster and went undefeated, except against Zhixu.
* TheRival: Curiously, he has two:
** Zhixu, the guy who continuously beat him, and unconsciously triggers Saber trying to re-discover his humanity.
** Alpha, fellow hero and creation of Laboratory 1718. Saber beats him so badly that he infects Alpha with the trait of trying to discover one self beyond the programming, and he's always trying to best Saber ever since.
* SimpleYetAwesome: Saber's tactics revolve around dashing to an enemy hero just so he gets in range within the ultimate, and then just hold down the enemy with his ultimate. Most squishy heroes rarely could ever survive Saber's simplistic approach.
* ToBeAMaster: His goal is to be the best swordsman in Cadia Riverlands, and eventually Land of Dawn.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Despite Saber's early introduction to the game and how Zhixu greatly influenced Saber's lore, nothing has been heard about Zhixu.
