!Paper Moon
[[folder:Bluebeard]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bluebeard_3.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:The Maiden Killer]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/SatoshiTsuruoka
->'''Illustrated by:''' Shinjirou

An infamous character originating from the french folktale of the same name. [[MultipleChoicePast A man of many different unverifiable pasts]] said to have murdered countless wives. He is '''not''' Gilles de Rais of France but instead the "true" Bluebeard of fiction made manifest.\

He appears in Ordeal Call 1: Paper Moon as the AI generated Zolgen's Caster-class Servant.
----
* AdaptationDecay: A very deliberate case. He has Gilles' appearance and powerset, but being the villain of a very short fairy tale he doesn't have any of his background or his few humanizing qualities. He's just a nutjob who likes to butcher women.
* TheBluebeard: The TropeNamer himself. Although due to being in a Holy Grail War, he doesn't get a chance to engage in this trope, so he "makes up" for it by having a lot of fun slaughtering the Rani AIs.
* DecompositeCharacter: Like all Servants participating in the Paper Moon's Holy Grail War, he's also an Alter Ego made from cutting off parts of a Servant's Spirit Origin. In this case he's the legend of Bluebeard exclusively, separated from the historical Gilles. As such he has no memory of things the real Gilles did, like supporting Jeanne.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He and Zolgen end up being this, as they're disposed of long before the end of the arc. The true threat is Rani and Durga (who takes it up a notch by becoming Kali).
* EnemySummoner: Like Gilles himself, he uses his ability to summon tentacle monsters to great effect. If anything, he is the weakest Servant in the running, but the Paper Moon system rewarding him with extra energy for civilian AI kills makes him a major threat who can overwhelm any opposition through sheer numbers (although Zolgen usually calls a retreat when they're facing more than two Servants at once).
* FlamingSword: He can ignite his sword with purple flames.
* NightmareFace: Taken to even a greater extent than Caster Gilles. Even when he initially appears identically to Gilles de Rais' Saber counterpart, the PsychoticSmirk quickly becomes his default expression and he has a tendency to spout some vicious [[SlasherSmile Slasher Smiles]] whenever he's on the attack.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: While the Protagonist initially assumes him to be a variant of Gilles de Rais much like Medusa's Saber counterpart, he reveals he has ''no idea'' who Joan of Arc is when Sion asks him about it.

[[folder:Zolgen Makiri (Paper Moon)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/makiri_zolgen_paper_moon.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Alter Ego Invented]]
->'''Illustrated by ''': Task Ohna

An Alter Ego AI based on the childhood appearance of Zolgen Makiri. He is the Master of Caster, Bluebeard.
----
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Zolgen has chartreuse hair and eyes. How his hair becomes blue and his eyes crimson in his adulthood is a mystery.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: Zolgen is the most outwardly aggressive character in the chapter, he and his Servant gleefully go on killing sprees for energy. But in the end, he is just another Master in the war with no real goal aside from claiming the Holy Grail. Once he's dispatched, the hunt begins for the real ArcVillain who has grander designs.
* EnfantTerrible: AI Zolgen proves Zelretch's assessment of Zolgen/Zouken correct as Zolgen was already a sociopathic monster even as a child. He may have mellowed out a little in his adulthood, but becoming the wizened Zouken Matou simply exposed his innate nature.
* FromBadToWorse: When he is unceremoniously offed by Bhima and Bluebeard's {{Kaiju}} fades away, you'd expect their involvement to end there. Instead, the system reboots him under the form of ''Zouken Matou'', and things quickly get a ''lot'' worse for everyone involved.
* TheHeavy: InvokedTrope. Because all other Masters have their own interests and aren't keen on fighting to the death, Zolgen was created expressly to cause problems on purpose so that the System Grail War wouldn't stall. To the point where when it seems like he’d be killed off without doing any lasting damage Rani XII has him resurrected after he was killed by Bhima to prevent the war from completely stalling.
* IWasQuiteALooker: As previously seen with his London appearance, Zolgen is a decent-looking guy even in his more youthful age. [[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon Although his personality is just as rotten]].
* {{Jerkass}}: He’s an [[SmugSnake arrogant]], [[ItsAllAboutMe egotistical]], entitled little bastard who combines the worst aspects of [[DirtyCoward Shinji]] and [[{{Sadist}} Zouken]]. Whether in his youthful form or as an old man, he’s easily the most despicable Master in the System Grail War.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: He looks very much like his real counterpart's grandson.
* TokenEvilTeammate: The other Masters in the System Grail War are very passive and affable. Which makes the contrast between them and Zouken’s vileness during the war stand out all the more.

An AI that plans to mass produce Servants by dividing them and turning them to Alter Egos. Originally appearing as the System Grail War's overseer managing the TruceZone, in reality, she is the Master of Archer, Durga, and later converts her into the Alter Ego Kali. She is the main antagonist of Ordeal Call 1: Paper Moon.
----
* ArcVillain: She and her Archer form the primary antagonistic force for Paper Moon.
* TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: Happily abuses her admin privileges and superior computational powers to empower Durga.
* EvilIsNotAToy: A fact she learns the hard way when she unleashes Kali.
* LegacyCharacter: She adopts the moniker of another WellIntentionedExtremist wielding the pinnacle of Atlas {{Magitek}}: [[VideoGame/MeltyBlood Dust of Osiris]].
* MagicWand: Rani wields a nekhakha aka a pharaoh's flail. Fitting as she is essentially Paper Moon's ruler.
* {{Magitek}}: Supports her servant with powerful codecasts.
* MeaningfulRename: After revealing her true intentions, she renames herself, becoming this game's version of [[VideoGame/MeltyBlood The Dust of Osiris]].
* NeutralInNameOnly: Notably [[AvertedTrope averted]]. Unless every other Holy Grail War overseer in the series and despite being a Master herself, Rani XII ''actually is'' a neutral party. Her only interest is in making sure the System Grail War ends with ''a'' winner to keep her plan moving forward, and only calls upon Durga to dispose of threats to the Grail War's integrity. She only becomes an enemy after all remaining Masters and Servants call a truce and purposely throw the Grail War into suspension.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Really, the only major difference between her and BB, our other [[ArtificialIntelligence AI]] KillerGameMaster, would be their general disposition.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Rani XII genuinely wants to help Chaldea, but her plan of splicing apart Servant's Spirit Origins to create Alter Ego Servants, so that the current number of Servants can increase to 4 digits, really isn't a good one. Durga/Kali demonstrates why making Alter Egos haphazardly is a bad idea.

[[folder:Britomart (Alter)]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lancerbritomartstage1.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Fortress of Lamentation]]
-> '''Voiced by''': Creator/NaomiWakabayashi\
'''Illustrated by ''': Matsuryuu

The original Britomart who was featured in Literature/TheFaerieQueene. A British princess who went on a journey to Fairyland to find her beloved.\

She is an Avenger-class Servant who appeared in Ordeal Call II: Id as the first of seven trials the protagonist must face.
----
* CharacterCatchphrase: As with all the other Trial Avengers; "Ye with Heart..."
* GenerationXerox: She and her daughter look identical. Considering the suit of armor she wears was originally ''hers'' before passing it down to our [[Characters/FateGrandOrderLancersAToF Britomart]], this makes sense.
* StoneWall: Thanks to the Blessing of the Earth, which allows Britomart Alter's armor to effectively Main/NoSell any attack [[spoiler: so long as she remains standing on the ground.]]

[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nitocris_alter_stage3.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:The Scales of Perdition]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MinamiTanaka
-> '''Illustrated by''': Shimadoriru

The Altered form of Queen Nitocris. Unlike the [[Characters/FateGrandOrderAvengers one]] which manifested in Nahui Mictlan, this Nitocris Alter is described as a "Pure Avenger" lacking any of the [[CrazySane madness]] which defines the Alter we are familiar with.\

She appeared in Ordeal Call II: Id as the second of seven trials the protagonist must face.
----
* AlternateSelf: To the playable Nitocris Alter. This one notably lacks any of the original's compassion, and is said to be made of "Pure Flame" like the other Avengers.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Ye with Heart..."
* MirrorMatch: [[spoiler: Is finally defeated after the protagonist summons the ''real'' Nitocris Alter to confront her hostile double.]]

[[caption-width-right:1000: Ruler of the Wild Hunt]]
->'''Illustrated by''': Usagi Routo
A form of King Theodoric the Great, King of the Ostrogoths who founded the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy. Initially sent by Emperor Zeno to invade Italy, he betrayed him and made himself king.\

After his death his life influenced a heroic character which would be the Charlemagne to Karl der Große, Dietrich von Bern. Here however he is summoned in another capacity as the leader of the Wild Hunt and he is now riding the feared Beast of Gevaudan.
----
* HellishHorse: He rides the Beast of Gevaudan, who appears as a fiery two headed horse.
