Go To

The knightly order of Grandshelt, serving under its king, and [[TheHero Rain and Lasswell]]'s initial affiliation. They usually maintain order only around the three main isles of Grandshelt, but when help is needed, they're all too willing to send reinforcements. While the order suffered under the Darklord's attack on Grandshelt, Charlotte's efforts quickly rebuilt it into a force to be reckoned with.

!Tropes associated with the whole knight order:
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:''Every Knight of Grandshelt'' not named Rain, Lasswell or Raegen makes a return in Neo Physalis's Story Event, even those of Loren's team, which were last seen in Raegen's Story Event, set years before the game's events (and in William's case, a Character Quest that [[LostInTranslation never left the Japanese version]]). Hell, the event even brings Atlie, originally a throwaway 4* from CG Bartz's banner, and Emma, last seen in Sacred Shield Charlotte's Story Event.]]

Knight of Granshelt and Rain, Charlotte and Lasswell's companion. While he loves to flirt women he sees making bad impression, he's still a loyal Knight of Grandshelt.
----
* ButtMonkey: Because he's a bit lazy and vain, he has a tendency to attract indignity, and it's suggested that he's the least respected by far of anyone holding the title of Grandshelt Knight.
* CasanovaWannabe: He loves to flirt with women, which hurts his reputation, and no one really impressed by it.
* RoyalRapier: While not a royal, he is known for wielding them gracefully.
* SomethingAboutARose: True to his would-be Casanova status as well as his imagined elegance and deadliness, he pulls out a rose during his victory animation. The victory pose of his 7* unit also has him holding a rose.
* SpamAttack: Learns Barrage.
* StatusEffects: Learns Swarmstrike and Shadowstick for inflicting poison and blind.
* StoneWall: His new 7* unit turns him into an evasion/provoke-specialized physical tank.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: It's heavily implied that Rain's womanizer traits were acquired from him.
* UndyingLoyalty: [[spoiler:Despite his act, it shows that he's cut for being a Knight of Grandshelt when Loren stages a coup and he sides with William and Charlotte instead.]]

!Loren
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loren_3.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A knight of Grandshelt that was a contemporary of Sir Raegen when he was also a knight, she is widely regarded as one of the most powerful knights the country has ever produced. Even after retiring from active touring duty, she becomes an instructor, and she was the one who taught Rain, Lasswell, Charlotte, and Lawrence to become knights as well.
----
* BadassTeacher: The second half of her event was her mostly staying in the background as Rain, Lasswell, Charlotte, and Lawrence all trained to become Grandshelt knights. However, when they accidentally found something way stronger than what they were prepared to deal with, Loren stepped in and handled the situation by herself. By the looks of things, she wasn't even winded by it.
* DualWielding: Not only does she naturally learn to do this, but she gains buffs from the same skill. Her Trust Master Reward similarly gives this ability, with passive Attack enhancements, to whoever has it equipped.
* DubNameChange: Her name was almost certainly "Lorraine" in the Japanese version.
* FakeDefector: [[spoiler:She, along with Zile, Chloe and Amy, pretend to be staging a coup against Grandshelt as a SecretTestOfCharacter for Physalis.]]
* MentorArchetype: She's a pretty classic one in the second half of her event, teaching both with instruction and, as the finale showed, example.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: Her Brave Shift has her decked out in an absolutely lovely dress, and if anything she gets even more powerful when she leaves her armor.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Of all the various knights in the game, she comes closest to the ideal, being both powerful and noble towards everyone.
* PassingTheTorch: [[spoiler:With the Hollow incident solved, Loren sees this as an opportunity to fully retire and pass her position (and her armor) to Charlotte.]]
* RedBaron: "The Twin Blade Maiden", courtesy of Roy.
* RegionalBonus: Of a sort - Loren is only available as a reward from spending enough real world money in the Japanese version, but she's available in the gacha (albeit rarely) in the Global version.
* RetiredBadass: By the present time, Loren is confirmed to be retired as a knight. In "A World United", Charlotte tries to bring her back to action to no avail, until Lazarov appears [[spoiler:with a mechanical version of the Chaotic Darkness]] and she has to help her former student out.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: [[spoiler:Loren sure took lessons from Raegen. Knowing Physalis would utterly [[BookDumb fail the written test]] to become a Knight of Grandshelt, she decides to make a last minute change into the test and stages a fake coup on Grandshelt, [[LockedOutOfTheLoop not informing William, Charlotte or Lawrence]] in order to make the test look real.]]
* SheCleansUpNicely: Her Brave Shift has her ditch her armor for a pretty blue dress.

!William
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/william_1_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A senior Grandshelt Knight, and a capable mage himself, known to have been a partner of Loren. While he seems coward on the outside, he's pretty willing to jump into action when his friends are in danger.
----
* DishingOutDirt: William's one of the few magic-oriented Grandshelt knights, and earth-element spells are his specialty.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: [[spoiler:You'd expect Loren to inform a longtime companion of hers of her SecretTestOfCharacter for Physalis. She didn't.]]
* SquishyWizard: Surprisingly, inverted. For his level of awakening, William is pretty durable - a knight's lifestyle apparently has helped cover this deficiency. Perhaps for this reason, his TMR improves defense along with magic.

!Chloe
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chloe_1_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A scholar who usually accompanies William around.
----

!Amy
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amy_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

An archer serving the Kingdom of Grandshelt.
----

!Zile
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zile.jpeg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A Cannoneer from the Kingdom of Grandshelt and an acquaintance of Loren and Raegen.
----
* AwesomeEgo: As shown in his first appearance (in Raegen's side story), cannoneers are known for their massive ego, and are frequently vying to make themselves as visible as possible. Part of why Zile wanted to work with Raegen is because he saw how good Raegen is, and he wanted to get the chance at some of Raegen's glory.
* DeathOrGloryAttack: His main mechanic, and by far the greatest example in the game. He can spend four turns packing his cannon, and on the fifth turn unleash an attack that's unrivaled outside of limit bursts and abilities on 7-star and Neo Vision characters. Not only is he out of action for four turns, that attack has a 7-in-8 chance of hitting Zile's team instead. And using the four turns of charge and attack at the end uses all of Zile's base magic points - so if he tries to fight after doing all that (either another battle, his side has mirage and/or reraise, or the enemy could tough out his blow), he's left with only his basic attack.
* SupportPartyMember: Zile became the first 4* unit to get a Neo Vision Awakening and with it came his Brave Shift, making him a Fire/Ice support who is pretty effective when in the right hands.

!Friese
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friese.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A squire serving under Charlotte's command in Grandshelt. She has extreme admiration for Charlotte and, apparently, romantic interest as well. She often bickers with Shepard over Charlotte.
----
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:She and Shepard return in Neo Physalis's story event, after being completely absent at the beginning of Season 3 in scenes concerning Physalis and Charlotte.]]
* GoodBadBugs: When Charlotte's Story Event debuted in Global, Friese's guest unit was shown wielding two shields, much like some ''VideoGame/DarkSouls'' players would do. It was an unintended bug and Gumi quickly fixed it, but people [[MemeticMutation took a big liking]] to that instance and wouldn't mind if a dual shield build was possible in ''Brave Exvius''.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: She's a squire to Charlotte, often relying on her shield to do the job.

!Shepard
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shepard.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

An analyst serving under Charlotte's command in Grandshelt. He's shown romantic interest in her, but can't bring himself to confess his feelings.
----
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:He and Friese appear in Neo Physalis's story event after not even being afterthoughts at the beginning of Season 3.]]
* CannotSpitItOut: Shepard has problems admitting his feelings for Charlotte.
* SpottingTheThread: [[spoiler:He's the first to take note that Loren's team is [[FakeDefector not playing serious on taking Grandshelt over]].]]

!Emma
A girl from Felicitas Town of Kolobos Isle who claims to be searching for her mother, being the first person Rain's party helps in their journey. [[spoiler:Her mother actually died and she was looking for someone who could get her to the dilapidated shrine where she was working.]] After her case is solved, she decides to become a Grandshelt Knight, inspired by Rain and Lasswell.
----
* TheBusCameBack:
** She reappears in the late Season 2 event "A World United," being the one who discovers that Dr. Lazarov has come BackFromTheDead. She ends it by starting training under Loren to join the Grandshelt Knights.
** [[spoiler:Neo Physalis's story event shows her as a fully fledged Knight of Grandshelt (also marking Atlie's first story appearance).]]
* RedOniBlueOni: [[spoiler:Emma has become the Blue Oni to Atlie's Red.]]
* TagAlongKid: For the first half of Kolobos Isle.

!Atlie
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/atlie.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:]]

A teenager swordswoman from Port City Lydira who decided to become a Grandshelt Knight upon happening into Charlotte's recruitment pamphlets. Despite her attempts to show the behavior of a responsible adult, she often lapses into the teenager she actually is.
----
* BestFriend: She has become this to Emma according to her bio.
* BlowYouAway: She has wind-based attacks and her Trust Mastery weapon, Air Tempest, is wind-elemental.
* RedOniBlueOni: [[spoiler:She's shown to be the Red Oni to Emma's Blue.]]
* RoyalRapier: Tends to fight with rapiers.

!Physalis
