!!Asticassia School of Technology

The Asticassia School of Technology is a space-based campus that focuses on educating its students about the usage and development of mobile suits, as well as the various business practices and interests surrounding mobile suit R&D and sales. The majority of the students attending Asticassia are either the children of Benerit Group employees or the heirs of the Group's [=CEOs=], with a few other students getting into the school via other means.

----

[[folder:In General]]
* DuelsDecideEverything: Conflicts at the school are oftentimes resolved by mobile suit duels, which are overseen by the Dueling Committee. Benerit Group president and school chairman Delling Rembran instituted the system at some point prior to the series' start; the top duelist, the "Holder", wins the right to marry his daughter Miorine and inherit the presidency of the Benerit Group if they have the title on Miorine's 17th birthday.
* TheProudElite: Many of the students attending the academy hold this attitude due to being Spacians, and look down on both Earthians in general ''and'' Earthian students on top of that.

Earth House. ''(地球寮, Chikyū Ryō)'' is a school faction in the Asticassia School of Technology. House members consist of students from Earth, some of whom face regular discrimination from Spacian students. Suletta Mercury is presently the only Spacian member within the House.
----
* CombatAndSupport: Pilots Suletta and Chuchu are Combat, while everyone else is Support, being their mechanics or business strategy students.
* FantasticRacism: Earthians are treated terribly by Spacians and even the school itself (their dorm seems to double as the school's stables). The folks in this house are also not spared from discrimination from other students from the other houses.
* GenderEqualEnsemble: Almost. There are five girls (Suletta, Chuchu, Nika, Aliyah, and Lilique) to four guys (Martin, Till, Nuno, and Ojelo). This means that, before Suletta joined at the end of Episode 4, they played this trope straight.
* GotVolunteered: [[spoiler:All of them get employed by Miorine without question when she starts up her GUND-ARM Inc. company at their dorm in Episode 8. Episode 9 sees Martin, Till, Ojelo and Lilique subsequently thrown into Zoworts to defend the new start-up in a group duel, despite none of them having any pilot training.]]
* ImprovisationalIngenuity: Due to a combination of FantasticRacism and not being backed by a major corporation, Earth House is often left having to scrounge for parts or cobble together equipment from whatever scrap they can salvage. All that said, the gear they produce is solid, such as the flight unit they built for Aerial that allowed her to match the Pharact in space combat.
* MultinationalTeam: From their names it's possible to infer that they come from various places all over the Earth.
* RagtagBandOfMisfits: The House is made of very different people with very different personalities.
* ShipperOnDeck: As the series progresses, they all show support for Suletta and Miorine becoming official.

[[caption-width-right:220:[[labelnote:Click here to see her in her mechanic uniform]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nika_mechanic.png[[/labelnote]]]]

A second-year student in the mechanical department, who belongs to Earth House. She loves mobile suits and is very curious about Suletta's Gundam Aerial. Nika has outstanding maintenance skills and is proud of herself for customizing Chuchu's Demi Trainer.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''N'''ika '''N'''anaura
* CoolBigSis: Is one to Chuchu, given that she customized her Demi Trainer and in general took her under her wing. Chuchu even [[AffectionateNickname refers to her]] as Nika-''nee''. [[note]] The "-nee" is usually reserved for the names of an actual family (sisters, cousins, etc) but can be used with someone close to you that isn't blood.[[/note]]
* ConflictingLoyalty: [[spoiler:Is torn between her duties to Dawn of Fold to act as an agent for Shaddiq and her loyalty to her actual friends in Earth House.]]
* EveryoneHasStandards: While she doesn't stand up for Suletta, she wasn't pleased by how other girls were treating her in the first episode. [[spoiler: She also disagrees with her fellow Dawn of Fold members putting the Earth House in danger and is willing to expose herself to get them out of Asticassia.]]
* ExactWords: Enrolled at Asticassia with the vision of becoming a bridge between Earth and space. [[spoiler:Ended up as a go-between for the Earth-based terrorist organization Dawn of Fold and the Spacian heir Shaddiq.]]
* ExtremeDoormat: Nika noticeably doesn't protest when a girl pushes her out of the way to talk to Suletta and she only frowns when they end up laughing at her. Later, when two other girls claim she and her friend are eating at ''their'' table in the cafeteria, she agrees to move without argument, nor does she offer any complaint when one of them spits her gum on her full tray of food after she said they were "done eating" to excuse herself. Chuchu hates Nika's doormat nature and comes close to extracting violence on the girls, only to be talked out of it out of fear of possible expulsion. Episode 10 impiles that [[spoiler:this is how she keeps her Earthian terrorist identity under wraps]].
* GadgeteerGenius:
** When Suletta needs a thruster pack for a space duel, she leads the effort to create a reliable, high spec unit for the Aerial out of ''scraps''.
** She rebuilt Chuchu's older model Demi-Trainer such that its obsolete frame could take insanely high G acceleration and deceleration.
* ImportantHaircut: In the finale, [[spoiler:she cuts her hair short during her time in prison and keeps it that way after her release.]]
* TheManBehindTheMan: While Martin is officially the head of Earth House, he's shown to always defer to Nika when it comes to important decisions regarding the House.
* TheMole: [[spoiler:Acts as Shaddiq's inside man on Earth House and the Aerial because of her association with Dawn of Fold. She's not happy about it.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:At the end of Episode 11, Nika realizes that the terrorist attack was partially her fault as she let Shaddiq make contact with the group she has connections with.]]
* MysteriousPast: Episode 10 reveals that [[spoiler:she's connected to the Earthian terror group Dawn of Fold, and reluctantly acts as the middleman between them and Shaddiq.]]
* NiceGirl: She was the friendliest to Suletta and was more patient with her stuttering. She even gave Suletta some help when she needed a bike to retrieve her Mobile Suit. She is also one of the only people to show concern for Suletta after Suletta is arrested in the aftermath of her duel with Guel.
* PhraseCatcher: "A go-between doesn't need to know."
* OhCrap: [[spoiler:In episode 12, she stares at a shocked Martin, who saw her warding off Dawn of Fold with their callsign, in unspoken horror.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:In Episode 11, Nika does a much nicer version of this as she tells Miorine that she should talk to Suletta and that not everyone can be like her.]]
* WrenchWench: Studying in the mechanical department, and has already customized a Mobile Suit.

[[caption-width-right:260: ''"Aren't Spacians the ones who push around the Earthians here?''"]]

A first-year student in the piloting department, who belongs to Earth House. She is nicknamed "Chuchu." She hates the Spacians who discriminate against Earthians and often gets into fights. Chuchu pilots a unique restored older-generation Demi Trainer.
----
* AceCustom:
** Has a customized Demi Trainer, which Nika worked on. Unlike most examples in the franchise, the goal was ''reducing costs'' by improving an outdated suit instead of using a modern one.
** She gains access to a Demi Barding Prototype in Episode 20 [[spoiler:during Norea's rampage at Asticassia. Secelia gives it to her so Chuchu can keep them all from dying, and it is then tuned by Nika to better suit Chuchu.]]
* AcePilot: While not one of the elite Dueling Committee pilots, Chuchu manages to hold her own in spite of the obsolescence of her suit. The obsolescent frame shows just how good she really is. In Episode 20, she even holds her own against Norea's Gundam.
* AffectionateNickname: Referred to as "Chuchu".
* AnimalMotifs: A mouse. Her short stature, puffy custom jacket, the "Chuchu" nickname,[[note]]"Chu" is the Japanese phonetic term for a mouse squeak.[[/note]] and gigantic OdangoHair resembling ears all bring to mind a mouse. Not to mention said hairstyle means that if her head were seen in silhouette, it would bear an uncanny resemblance to [[WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse the world's most famous mouse]].
* BerserkButton: Spacians in general are hers, due to how they treat Earthians at the Academy--in Episode 4, Suletta's mere presence in the Earth House dorms pisses her off so much that she has to be literally held back from attacking Suletta. This also extends to bullies, as she literally punches out the two girls that sabotaged Suletta during her makeup exams.
* BondOneLiner: Well, the target isn't ''dying'' but it's the same effect. After sniping Shaddiq's mech (thus ending the team battle with a victory for Earth House,) she says "Don't underestimate Earth House, dumbass."
* CharacterDevelopment: In the second season, she has to face some very unpleasant realities, such as the absence of her big-sister figure Nika and the fact that the most immediate threat to her friends' well-being is ''Earthian'' terrorism. It's later shown in several scenes that she TookALevelInKindness and is prepared to help the weak and suffering, regardless of whether they're Spacian or Earthian, [[spoiler: including the girls who bullied and sabotaged her in Season 1]].
* CommonalityConnection: She is initially hostile towards Suletta until she discovers they are in quite similar circumstances. After Suletta is sabotaged by the same bullies who sabotaged Chuchu before, and for nearly the same reason (Suletta comes from a "backwater planet" like Mercury while Chuchu comes from Earth, and most Spacians at school don't like either place), she tearfully reveals that she came to Asticassia with hopes of helping others who supported her back home, which is also how Chuchu feels about her friends and family on Earth. Realizing this, Chuchu fights back against the bullies to defend Suletta and later allows her to join Earth House.
* CompressedHair: She's able to fit her gigantic puffball hairstyle entirely inside of a skintight piloting suit cap, without any sign of their presence.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Chuchu sports cotton-candy pink [[OdangoHair Afro-like puffs]] and pink eyes. While pink is often a calming color, the HotBlooded, combative AcePilot is anything but.
* CustomUniform: Wears a massive jacket over her uniform top and even shorter shorts than Miorine.
* DemotedToExtra: She goes from a fairly important side character in the first half of the show to mostly a minor background character in the second half with only a handful of brief scenes.
* FantasticRacism: Like most students from Earth House, she's often bullied by or discriminated against by Spacians, and she responds by being the most outwardly hostile towards them among her fellow Earthians. She's made an exception for Suletta, but she barely tolerates Miorine's presence in Earth House. Despite this, even she would not go as far as to [[spoiler:kill them or leave them to die, as shown in Episode 14 where she chooses to protect Felsi and a gravely injured Lauda when Asticassia gets attacked instead of fighting Norea and Sophie head on. As Episode 16 shows, she's warmed up to Miorine, too, in recognition of her commitment to the House.]]
* FireForgedFriends: It's a bit on the Vitriolic side, but she and Felsi seem to have become this after the events of episode 20.
* FragileSpeedster: Her Custom Demi Trainer is built for rapid hit and run attacks with extreme high-G acceleration and deceleration. It is built this way because it cannot take a hit due to its obsolete frame.
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: Miorine does not find Chuchu's treatment of Suletta and herself to be excusable regardless of how other Spacians have treated her.
* FriendlySniper: Her customized Demi Trainer is set up for long-range fire support and sniping, something that [[spoiler: wins GUND-ARM, Inc. its match against Grassley when Chuchu is able to snipe Shaddiq's Michaelis' head]].
* GatlingGood: Episode 14 shows that her Demi Trainer can be fielded with this instead of her usual sniper rifle for a more versatile loadout, useful when deployed in an area where she can't find a good sniping position.
* GirlyBruiser: She's short, has pink hair, and an overall adorable design... which contrasts greatly with her HotBlooded personality, intense temper, and a right hook that can cause a concussion.
* HatesRichPeople: Chuchu's distrust of Spacians is mostly her looking at how [[TheElitesJumpShip Earth has been abandoned by the wealthy]] and assuming that applies to everyone who permanently lives in space. A major reason she [[BigotryException gains a more favorable view]] of Suletta is learning the people of the Mercury colonies are not much more privileged than Earthians are--and she's much slower to warm up to Miorine, who really is insanely wealthy.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Accused of having fallen into this trope by Miorine, who tells Chuchu that the way she labeled Suletta as a "Shitty Spacian" just for being born in space makes her no different from people who discriminate against Earthians. She does warm up to Suletta by the end of Episode 4, though she is too stubborn to openly apologize.
* HotBlooded: Chuchu is brash, confrontational, and does not hesitate to verbally lash out nor get her hands dirty in a fistfight.
* InSeriesNickname: "Chuchu", by default. She later got the nickname "Pom-Pom Head" from people outside Earth House, particularly from Secelia and Felsi. It is implied that it was regularly used behind her back, but only spoken directly to her face by Secelia in episode 20.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Chuchu is short-tempered and abrasive, but also willing to stand up for her friends and those she sympathizes with. Later in Episode 14, [[spoiler: when Norea and Sophie attack Asticassia, Chuchu decides [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge against gunning for their heads as payback for Plant Quetta]], and instead chooses to protect Felsi and a badly-injured Lauda, though she still expresses her dislike for both members of Jeturk House while doing so.]]
* JerkassHasAPoint: [[spoiler:Chuchu rightfully points out to Miorine that just because Gund-Arm, Inc. was created by her, it doesn’t mean she can’t get kicked out. This leads Miorine to further research Gundams to find a viable business method all can be comfortable with.]]
* TheLadette: She's quite grumpy, combative, and tough in personality, and the fourth episode reveals that she considers herself kin to a large crew of manly-looking laborers.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: [[spoiler:Episode 20 sees the Earth House dorm destroyed during Norea's rampage and Chuchu's customized Demi Trainer with it. Under the circumstances, Secelia and Rouji choose to loan her Burion's brand new prototype mobile suit, the Demi Barding, to help defend the school.]]
* MookMobile: Her beloved Demi Trainer is an AceCustom example of one, being of the same product line as the suits that the school uses for training pilots. It frequently shows in fights. [[spoiler:The Demi Barding, meanwhile, is more of a SuperPrototype, being on level pegging with Jeturk combat suits and boasting a number of handy features.]]
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Stands just over 150cm (not even 5 feet tall) not including the OdangoHair buns, but can cold-cock a bully with a single punch.
* PistolWhip: During the ninth episode, upon being forced into melee and losing an arm, she attempts to use her suit's sniper rifle as a club. It doesn't work, but A for effort. She does it again in episode 20, so this seems to be a habit of hers.
* PowerStereotypeFlip: You'd expect a character with her HotBlooded punch-happy proclivities to pilot the most brutal melee combat suit available, but she's actually a sniper whose suit is designed for long-range hit-and-run attacks. It's [[AllThereInTheManual said in official material]] that this is largely a decision of practicality; her Demi Trainer is an outdated [[MookMobile grunt suit]] that would stand no chance whatsoever in melee combat, and Earth House has limited funds for repair, and so it's designed around a fighting style that risks as little damage as possible. Of course, she's still willing to try to melee opponents if need be, not that it works out for her when she tries the first time. During the Rumble Ring in Episode 14, she does get to take the field with a [[GatlingGood gatling gun]], which is more in line with her personality.
* RaisedByDudes: Chuchu speaks with her family, a group of Earthian men, in Episode 4, and then reveals that she wants to work hard for her family in Episode 8. It certainly explains her fighting skills.
* ShellShockedVeteran: It is revealed that the events of Plant Quetta had a nasty mental impact on her, leaving her unable to fight properly in the Rumble Ring; her hand freezes up as soon as she tries to pull the trigger, and she has a clear flashback to some of the fighting she saw there. She does manage to work through it long enough to save some lives, though.
* ShoutOut: Her design and name appear to be a reference to Chu-Chu from ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena''.
* WeakButSkilled: The Demi Trainer is anything but a great suit (as the name implies, it was actually created to give students an easy-to-pilot and low-cost option before giving them access to actual combat suits), and Chuchu's is an obsolete model that was refurbished after they practically fished it out of the dumpster. Every time it gets into any kind of physical scrape, it's only a matter of time before it loses a limb. That said, Chuchu's piloting skills are legit, and she manages to hold her own surprisingly well despite her suit's weaknesses.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: During the battle in episode 14, [[spoiler: Chuchu hears a distress call from Felsi pleading for help to protect an unconscious Lauda. Despite having every opportunity to let a pair of Spacians she hates fend for themselves, Chuchu overcomes her hatred for Spacians and saves them. She does it again in Episode 20, standing side-by-side with Felsi to defend the school. In episode 21, among the students she hands out tomatoes to are the two bullies she punched in episode 4, without hesitation or even any hint of antagonism]].

A third-year student in the management strategy department who belongs to Earth House and is the current representative of the House.
----
* CowardlyLion: He evolves into this by the last arc of Season 2, being willing to put himself in danger while still letting out some undignified screams when danger does come.
* DeadpanSnarker: Martin is kind, but will still have a remark in certain situations.
* ExtremeDoormat: Like Nika, he lacks the will to challenge Spacians who are constantly bullying and insulting him and his peers. Unlike Nika, [[spoiler:he doesn't have any connections to a terrorist group that would come to light if he was investigated too closely.]]
* TheGenericGuy: Compared to the rest of the Earth House, Martin lacks much in the way of defining quirks. [[spoiler:This changes after he turns Nika into the authorities, and spends the next several episodes dealing with the guilt.]]
* GrewASpine: Downplayed in Episode 16, he musters up just enough courage to stand up to the Spacians who torment Earth House in misguided retribution for [[spoiler:the terrorist attack by Dawn of Fold.]]
* TheLeader: He is the House leader of the Earth House.
* NiceGuy: Martin is truly an affable and upstanding young man.
* OhCrap: In Episode 18, he airs his guilt to a Haro in a small room over [[spoiler:being TheStoolPigeon to Nika concerning her ties to Dawn of Fold]], only to unexpectedly learn Secilia was on the other side of the wall, having heard everything he said. He ends up yelping in shock over seeing her hear his "confession".
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler:Episode 13 reveals he has yet to share with anyone what he saw during the attack on Plant Quetta, namely Nika's apparent affiliation with Dawn of Fold, in the hopes of protecting Nika and aiding her in whatever way he can. When the school is attacked in Episode 14, though, he informs the authorities, who also arrest the rest of the House thanks to Nika's connection to them.]]
* TheStoolPigeon: [[spoiler:He eventually rats Nika out when he feels like her secrets are becoming a real danger to everyone]]. Episode 18 has Secilia learn of his act of betrayal when she overhears Martin airing his guilt over said action and comment on it after she reveals herself.
-->'''Secilia:''' You... You're a double-crossing little rat, aren't you?
* SupportingLeader: For Earth House, despite being its nominal head. Suletta and Chuchu are the pilots and when Martin has to fight personally to fill in the numbers of the team, he predictably does a poor job. Nika also plays a major role in decision-making as her GadgeteerGenius skills allow the House to keep up with the Spacians. Martin is usually in the "supporting team" position. [[spoiler:With Miorine becoming the CEO of GUND-ARM Inc. and employing everyone on Earth House, she effectively displaces Martin as the leader, and very little changes in the relationships dynamics of the House.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: Witnessing Nika [[spoiler:ward off Norea during Dawn of Fold's attack on the Quetta Plant, Martin is visibly shocked by Nika's involvement with the group.]]

A third-year student in the mechanical department, who belongs to Earth House. She likes to perform divination readings for her friends.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Not to the same extent as Lauda, but her skin is darker than most students. If her name is any indication, she's Iranian.
* ExactWords: Probably unintentional of her part, but her divinations seem to work on this principle. One episode after she predicted Lilique would face boy-related trouble, the poor girl finds herself being antagonized by Renee, because one of her boyfriends had asked Lilique out. Needless to say, this was not the kind of trouble she was expecting.
* FortuneTeller: Is seen divining Suletta's fortune in episode 5, though she is interrupted when Elan calls.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: She loves the animals from her House, inherited from her hometown.
* NervesOfSteel: During Episode 12 when [[spoiler:Dawn of Fold attacks Plant Quetta and the Earth House's ship is nearly destroyed, she and Till are able to keep their composure compared to the rest of Earth House with Aliya comforting a hyperventilating Lilliqe and expressing worry for Suletta and Miorine's absence. She shows her nerve again during the two subsequent attacks on Asticassia by Dawn of Fold's Gundams, particularly the second one, where their garage and dorms are destroyed in the attack]]. She effectively remains calm, albeit worried, during all of these crises.
* TeamMom: Serves this capacity to her fellow housemates, and it's clearest during [[spoiler: Suletta's depression, offering food for comfort to start helping her heal]].
* TwoFirstNames: "Aliya" and "Mahvash" are both feminine given names of Iranian origin.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: When Aliya accidentally took Suletta's lunch for Nuno, not knowing he already had one, she inadvertently made Suletta's self-esteem issues worse by making it look like there was no food to her. The only reason the damage was short-lived is Miorine noticing Suletta vanished and tracking her down to confront her.

A first-year student in the management strategy department who belongs to Earth House. A sweet girl who is popular with boys.
----
* BigBeautifulWoman: Is noticeably heavy-set, but this does nothing to hamper her popularity among male students. This actually brings trouble to her [[spoiler:when Renee gets jealous and very angry that one of her "back-up boyfriends" asked Lilique out.]]
* HiddenDepths: She was the one who helped Miorine [[spoiler:organize the information and documents needed to formally start her new company,]] and did a good enough job that Miorine gave her the double responsibility of [[spoiler:opening the company's bank account and helping Martin with the registration papers]]. Subsequent scenes in that episode and the following ones show that she really is good at this kind of job.
* NiceGirl: Has a cheerful and friendly personality, and needed little convincing to accept Suletta isn't like the Spacians who discriminate against Earthians, unlike some of her housemates.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Her house mates are shocked to see Lilique openly being angry and even declaring out loud she doesn't care about [[spoiler:their company]] anymore. It's treated as a confirmation they are in deep trouble after [[spoiler:the news that Aerial was used to start a conflict on Earth spread like wildfire.]]
* ThePollyanna: Very little can get past her positive attitude. When Renee specifically challenges her during the [[spoiler:team duel]], Lilique happily accepts with a smile. That said, there are some things that can break her positivity; the [[spoiler:terrorist attack on Plant Quetta]] gives the poor girl a full-blown panic attack. Two weeks later, she is still affected by it. She's a lot better at handling the trauma during [[spoiler: the two subsequent attacks on Astacassia by Dawn of Fold's Gundams, as she's quick to bounce herself back to help with the rescue operations]].
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: She is very interested in the romantic lives of her peers and is quick to jump to dramatic conclusions regarding Suletta's complicated relationships with Guel and Elan, such as asking her if she rejected Guel because she was already interested in Elan.

He also proves to be a decent if inexperienced pilot, [[spoiler:coming the closest out of any of the non-pilots to landing a hit on the Grassley aces during their team duel and being the one who carries out Miorine's plan, organizing the winning shot against Shaddiq with the rest of the fallen Earth House team members once their opponents were distracted with Suletta.]]
* IResembleThatRemark: Protests against being labeled TheQuietOne in a very meek tone, using as few words as possible.
* NervesOfSteel: He doesn't utter a single word of complaint or fear when he [[spoiler:participates in the team battle against Grassley House, despite not being a pilot and suffering a total defeat as expected.]] His attitude starkly contrasts the very vocal objections of Ojelo and Martin. Later in Episode 12 when [[spoiler:Dawn of Fold attacks Plant Quetta and the Earth House's ship is nearly destroyed, he and Aliya are able to keep their composure compared to the rest of Earth House with Till taking charge of leading the evacuation.]]
* NiceGuy: It's not immediately obvious thanks to his quiet behavior, but Till pays close attention when his friends are in distress and will act to help them the best he can. He is the first to notice Suletta is struggling to speak with Miorine in Episode 16, so he raises her hand for her. Later, [[spoiler:he is shown to be very understanding towards Martin's dilemma over his role in Nika's arrest, and doesn't begrudge him for it.]]
* TheQuietOne: Introduced as one to Suletta by Aliya, and repeatedly proves it to be true by always having the least amount of dialogue in any group scene in Earth House.
* TheStoic: Not only does he rarely speak, he rarely shows overt emotions too.

Jeturk House. ''(ジェターク寮, Jetāku Ryō)'' is a school faction in the Asticassia School of Technology created under Jeturk Heavy Machinery. Its members are composed of heirs to the business, children of employees, and other students that are loyal to the Jeturk faction. Along with Peil House and Grassley House, Jeturk House is [[PowerTrio one of the top three Houses at Asticassia]].
----
* AlphaBitch: Felsi and Petra fit the bill as they antagonize Miorine and help Vim fix Guel's rematch with Suletta.
* AristocratTeam: Guel and Lauda are the sons of the House’s parent company. Everyone else is stated to have ties to Jeturk Heavy Machinery.
* TheBeautifulElite: Guel, his brother Lauda and Petra are especially pleasing on the eyes. Felsi is quite adorable and even [[BigBeautifulMan Kamil]] has his fans.
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: At the start of the series, Jeturk Heavy Machinery was a clear and potent frontrunner in the industry, and Jeturk House was arguably the strongest of the trio. By the start of the second season, [[spoiler:Guel's repeated humiliation and eventual disappearance, Vim's death, Lauda's leadership flagging having to deal with the fallout as acting CEO, and a host of other issues has left Jeturk in dire straits, with news reports suggesting that the company is on the verge of bankruptcy--Guel is even dismissed as worthless as a hostage by one of the kids in the care of Dawn of Fold]].

A third year in the piloting department. He is the deputy head of Jeturk House and Guel's younger half-brother. Unlike his older brother, he is calm and rational.
----
* AceCustom: He pilots a Dilanza that has a pair of shoulder shields and a huge axe. Guel takes it to duel Elan before Lauda himself pilots it during the Rumble Ring.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: His skin is darker than most students of the academy.
* BigBrotherWorship: Lauda is shown to hold his brother in high regard, becoming quite vindictive towards Suletta because he sees her as the cause of Guel's downfall. However, his care for his older brother even causes him to drop any outward hostility towards Suletta when [[spoiler:Guel goes missing, focusing only on finding his brother. This extends to the point that when he hears of Guel's role in their father's death, rather than blaming Guel he goes out of his way to blame Miorine for, in his mind, putting Guel in that situation in the first place -- even as he lambasts Guel for being too proud and self-absorbed in his tendency to accept blame for things, he still points to Miorine "reviving" Gundams as the reason why Guel's lost his way]].
* BystanderSyndrome: He doesn't encourage his brother's {{Jerkass}} tendencies nor does he seem happy about them, but when Guel begins to destroy Miorine's garden in retaliation for her insulting him, Lauda pointedly refused to stop him and tells Suletta to stop him herself. He also does little to defend his brother from the abuse heaped on him by their father.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:In the final few episodes of the second season, he becomes the Cain to Guel's Abel. Interestingly, this is not out of anger or hatred at Guel personally, but at ''Miorine'', who Guel is allied with and willing to fight for]].
* CharacterDevelopment: In the negative direction. He starts out a standard, if harmless {{Jerkass}} who keeps doubling down on his behavior until he decides [[spoiler:to attempt to commit ''murder'']].
* CharacterTics: Lauda often strokes a lock of his hair between his fingers.
* CloseRangeCombatant: The fact that his personal Dilanza's primary armament is a large battleaxe speaks for itself.
* ExtremeDoormat: He is visibly unhappy with the orders he receives from his father, but unlike his brother, he always obeys.
* FaceHeelTurn: Lauda becomes dead set on [[spoiler:killing Miorine with Schwarzette while everyone else is focused on dealing with Quiet Zero. This lasts about a little more than a single episode, until he nearly kills Guel (and himself, by using the GUND-Format) as a result of his brazen, misguided quest for vengeance. He gets a little better after that]].
* FatalFlaw: His driving problem is his inability to see any faults in Guel. Whenever something goes wrong for Guel, be it Guel's own fault or not, Lauda will [[NeverMyFault blame someone else]], no matter how many logical hoops he has to jump through to justify it. [[spoiler:It gets to the point where, after learning of Guel's role in the death of their father, he blames Miorine for getting too close to Guel, rather than confronting Guel about it. In Lauda's eyes, he's perfectly justified in going after Miorine in the Schwarzette; he's simply trying to save Guel from a manipulative vixen that has thoroughly ensnared him]].
* FaintInShock: With a mixture of exhaustion and joy, he ends up fainting [[spoiler:when Guel returns from his self-imposed exile]].
* {{Foil}}: Serves as one to Suletta in the closing episodes of the second season [[spoiler:when they both come into conflict with their older siblings. They both dearly love their families, but Lauda's worship of his older brother causes him to project his frustrations and lash out at others, in contrast to Suletta being more willing to see the faults in what her sister is doing, leading her to reach out to try and talk her down]].
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Played for drama. Unlike so many other characters late in the series, he only has small nuggets of information on what is actually going on behind the scenes and thus lacks a complete picture. This, mixed with his own personal flaws, leads to him making some very questionable decisions.
* TheMaidenNameDebate: Unlike his father and half-brother, Lauda has a different last name, presumably his mother's. [[spoiler:He briefly assumes the Jeturk name during his final battle with Guel, though this is in a blind rage]].
* MisplacedRetribution: [[spoiler:After the destruction of the school, Petra's severe injuries in the wake of said destruction, and learning the truth about Guel being their father's killer, Lauda blames Miorine for everything that has affected his family since she was the one who revived the Gundams]].
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:The final charge between him and Guel ends with the latter deactivating his beam saber before the clash, resulting in Lauda impaling the Dilanza right next to the cockpit. While it's not damage that will cause instant destruction, it's still a killing blow, and Lauda is immediately horrified by what he's done. Fortunately, Felsi steps in to patch the damage with suppression rounds before the Dilanza can explode with Guel inside.]]
* NotSoStoic: His normal calm and collected personality breaks a bit during the duel in episode 9, [[spoiler:when Shaddiq and the rest of Grassley House have Suletta cornered; he gleefully cheers for her defeat, indicating that Guel's losses to Suletta bothered him far more than he let on.]]
* PetTheDog: In Episode 18, despite coming to Miorine's greenhouse to [[KickThemWhileTheyAreDown rub Suletta's losses in her face]] [[spoiler: following the events of Episode 17, he expresses that he has no intention of starting a conflict and genuinely thanks Chuchu for saving his life during the Rumble Ring incident back in Episode 14.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: Lauda is the composed and a rather logical Blue Oni to his elder brother's rash and violent Red Oni.
* RevengeBeforeReason: [[spoiler:He wants Miorine dead for all the misfortune that has fallen on his family. He even hijacks Gundam Schwarzette so he can kill her while she's on a ship heading to Quiet Zero to stop Prospera. Guel stops him before he can shoot the ship down, leading Lauda to angrily ask his brother if he's still obsessed with Miorine]].
* TheResenter: He blames Suletta for all the misfortune that has befallen his family -- especially his brother -- and as such, displays no end of barely veiled hatred towards her. [[spoiler:Once he learns of the truth of his father's death, he then shifts his hatred towards Miorine, blaming her for how much Guel's changed since his return to Asticassia]].
* {{Retirony}}: [[spoiler:He intends to make the duel in Episode 14 his final one before he's forced to leave his role as a student to step up as the CEO of Jeturk Heavy Machinery. Sure enough, he ends up being attacked and nearly killed by Sophie mid-match.]]
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Lauda is the snooty Sensitive Guy to Guel's hotheaded Manly Man.
* SharedFamilyQuirks: Lauda's hair-stroking CharacterTic is apparently genetic as his father does the same in Episode 1. The unnamed Jeturk grandfather in ''Prologue'' similarly plays with his moustache.
* SiblingYinYang: Where Guel is brash, arrogant, and entitled, Lauda is collected, almost effeminate, and snobby.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Despite his minimal role and appearances, Lauda's dare to Suletta to stop his brother from terrorizing Miorine is what causes Suletta to challenge Guel to a duel with her Gundam, resulting in her becoming the Holder, exposing Aerial to the public, and kickstarting the story's chain of events from that point onward.
* SpareToTheThrone: After Guel's fall from grace, Lauda is effectively treated as Guel's replacement.
* StartOfDarkness: [[spoiler:Lauda did not take the truth of learning his brother inadvertently killing their father all too well. And in the aftermath of Norea's rampage that resulted in Petra sustaining near-fatal injuries, he pilots the Schwarzette with one goal in mind: kill Miorine. Thankfully, this is subverted in the end after Guel's attempted sacrifice to disable the Schwarzette's GUND-Format, where the former talks Lauda down and reaffirms his care for him.]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: Though Jeturk is introduced as the asshole house, all its members start showing off HiddenDepths or developing to be more likeable. Lauda, meanwhile, just keeps getting worse.
* TookALevelInJerkass: After taking Guel's place as the head of his dormitory, he starts acting like an irritable {{Jerkass}} whenever Suletta is concerned, as he blames her for his brother being expelled from Jeturk House. As the series goes on, he doubles down on his behavior, degrading Suletta even as Guel grows fond of the girl, and also blaming Miorine for events beyond her control, which contrasts with how his housemates grow into better people. In episode 18 especially, he goes to thank Chuchu for saving him earlier, but takes the time to insult Suletta and rub salt in the wound for her recent loss. Notably, Felsi, who started the series as a much worse bully than Lauda, is much more courteous and gives a more genuine thanks.
* UngratefulBastard: While he shows gratitude toward Chuchu for saving his life, he never extends the same courtesy towards Suletta. Petra is the one who ends up thanking Suletta for saving Lauda.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom:
** His BystanderSyndrome in regards to his brother's {{Jerkass}} behaviour and daring Suletta to do something about it if it bothers her so much is essentially what kickstarts Guel and the Jeturk family's HumiliationConga.
** Because Lauda deliberately held off on finalizing Guel's explusion, Guel is able to re-enroll at Asticassia. [[spoiler:This also makes him eligible to duel against Suletta one more time before Miorine's 17th birthday. Miorine uses this to her advantage by promising to support Guel's efforts to rebuild Jeturk Heavy Industries, if he in turn supports her bid for Benerit Group president, and she ensures that Guel wins by sabotaging Suletta--which costs Suletta Aerial, her status as Holder, and her engagement to Miorine.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: Lauda's loyalty to Guel is practically unshakeable; his grudge against Suletta is so strong because he blames her for ruining Guel's reputation and eroding the strength of the Jeturk name, but he never blames Guel even once. When Guel [[spoiler:finally returns to space]], Lauda immediately gives control of the Jeturk family, Jeturk House, and Jeturk Heavy Industries back to his brother without hesitation; additionally, it turns out that Lauda defied his father's order to fully expel Guel from Asticassia. [[spoiler: Even after learning that Guel was responsible for killing Vim, Lauda jumps straight to blaming Miorine as the root cause of everything that's happened, including how Guel has "changed", rather than blame Guel for any wrongdoing]]. Episode 23 implies that the source of said loyalty is because Guel accepted him as a brother, wholeheartedly and without hesitation, when they first met as children.
* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: Asks this about his brother Guel in Episode 7 when he witnesses Suletta's clumsiness and nervousness at the Incubation Party.
* YouAreInCommandNow: In episode six, he's promoted to the official head of Jeturk House after Guel is evicted. At the start of season two, he's the acting CEO of the whole company [[spoiler:after the death of his father. Once Guel returns to Asticassia and Jeturk House, Lauda gracefully cedes all of his positions back to Guel, taking up his role as Guel's NumberTwo once more.]]

* NumberTwo: Following [[spoiler:Guel’s disappearance]], she more or less became Lauda’s number two.
* TheResenter: Following Guel's fall from grace and [[spoiler:subsequently running away]], she is shown to be resentful towards Suletta for defeating him, and thinks Guel would still be around if it wasn't for her. 383* TheEngineer: Kamil is the third mechanic in Jeturk House that the audience is introduced to.
* TheLeader: He is Jeturk's chief mechanic.
* TokenGoodTeammate: At the start of the series, he was the only member of the Jeturk House that didn't exhibit any {{Jerkass}} behavior to anyone.

Grassley House. ''(グラスレー寮, Gurasurē Ryō)'' is a school faction in the Asticassia School of Technology formed by Grassley Defense Systems with its employees' children serving as House members. Along with Peil House and Jeturk House, Grassley House is [[PowerTrio one of the top three Houses at Asticassia]].
----
* AmazonBrigade: Apart from its House Leader, every member so far is female. Their first shown duel is a 6-vs-6 where all of them fight alongside Shaddiq at once.
* AristocratTeam: The House is comprised of the children of Grassley Defense Systems’ employees and is led by the adopted son of the CEO. [[spoiler:Subverted when it's revealed all named members of the House are Earthians who were part of an adoption program.]]
* CombatAndSupport: Curiously, {{Subverted}}. Every single member of Grassley House so far introduced to the audience is a piloting student.
* DudeMagnet: All of them have dedicated [[GroupieBrigade fanclubs]] eagerly cheering them on during duels, though Shaddiq and [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer Sabina's]] are comprised of women.
* GoingNative: [[spoiler:Every member of Grassley House are Earthians by birth, but they act entirely like the children of Spacian aristocrats who belong at Asticassia. The only indicator that they are even Earthian at all is that Sabina says it outright. This is intentional on their part, as they still want to help Earth but know that the best way to do that is to use Spacian privilege]].
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:They all become Miorine's assistants in the epilogue.]]
* IdenticallyPoweredTeam: Unlike other Houses, every member of Grassley House introduced so far is a mobile suit pilot.
* MeaningfulAppearance: The Grassley House girls are by far some of the most feminine and fashionable characters in the show, which is notable when you realize that [[spoiler:Earthians like them are typically associated with masculine and practical clothing. In the epilogue, when they are no longer upholding the facade of being Spacian aristocracy, they have all switched to practical suits]].
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: The more extreme Shaddiq's actions become, the more his AmazonBrigade starts resembling this trope, as they keep their unique personality traits even as they help Shaddiq [[spoiler:perform criminal acts for the sake of his goals.]]
* SatelliteCharacter: Sabina and Renee are the only ones to get significant interactions with people outside Grassley House. The other three are never given any interpersonal relationships besides their loyalty to Shaddiq and their friendship with each other.

A third-year pilot in the Grassley dormitory. As Shaddiq's right-hand, she is a talented woman who assists him in his work both inside and outside the school.
----
* CategoryTraitor: Considered such by Norea, for [[spoiler:being an Earthian who joined the ranks of a powerful Spacian corporation.]]
* CustomUniform: She sports a pair of white gloves, a half-cape hung on her right shoulder, slightly shorter shorts than the standard uniform and thigh-high boots with grey tights.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Sabina first appears in Episode 2, when Elan and Shaddiq are speaking to each other, but doesn't become a recurring character until all of Shaddiq's supporters are introduced at the end of Episode 8.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: While the rest of Grassley's AmazonBrigade have hordes of fanboys each, she has a classroom full of girls cheering for her.
* {{Foil}}: To Nika. [[spoiler:Both are Earthians working for Shaddiq, but while Nika is unhappy about working for him and seeks a peaceful method to build a bridge between Earth and space, Sabina is loyal to him and is willing to use violence to build said bridge.]]
* TheLancer: As Shaddiq's right-hand with a more serious personality, it falls to her to pick off where he leaves off and assist him in leading. Though with Shaddiq becoming more villainous as time goes, Sabina ends up looking more like TheDragon
* NumberTwo: Sabina is the House Leader's assistant.
* PetTheDog: [[spoiler:She stops Norea from beating Nika to death. While she claims it's because Shaddiq wants her alive, the next episode shows that Sabina genuinely sympathizes with her.]]
* TheStoic: Sabina is very stony faced and has yet to show any sort of emotion.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:She works for Shaddiq to make life better for her fellow Earthians.]]

A third-year pilot in the Grassley dormitory and one of the female students who support Shaddiq. Henao is a mysterious type who silently uses her sixth sense.
----
* CustomUniform: Had it not been for the black knee-length pants worn underneath, she would have worn the school's uniform to the exact specifications.
* LotusPosition: Henao is introduced doing yoga like this on a couch in the Grassley House dormitory. [[spoiler:She continues doing this while in custody]].
* HidingBehindYourBangs:: One of her eyes is noticeably obscured by her bang, fitting for a character described as a "mysterious" type who may have a form of sixth sense.
* {{Seers}}: According to her profile, she "silently uses her sixth sense".
* NumberTwo: Henao is pretty much third-in-command, serving as Shaddiq's aide outside of the school, including [[spoiler: being in charge of trying to move the captured Sarius out of Asticassia, while he and her housemates do the fighting]], and, much earlier, is the one sent out to find [[spoiler: Nika, preventing her from snitching to the authorities]].
* WhatTheHellAreYou: Her reaction upon seeing Suletta duck and weave around her teams attacks almost as if seeing the future is to simply wonder aloud if she is some kind of freak.

A second-year pilot student in the Grassley dormitory who is one of the female students supporting Shaddiq and is good friends with Maisie. Ireesha is usually timid, unsure, and worries quite often.
----
* AmbiguouslyGay: Her profile specifically mentions her friendship with Maisie which seems to be just a little too close. When they are first seen outside the school in Episode 13, Ireesha is clinging to Maisie's arm. [[spoiler: In their final appearance, after the timeskip in Episode 24, Ireesha is once again clinging to Maisie's arm.]]
* ApologeticAttacker: She feels really bad about the thorough beating she and the rest of Grassley House gives [[spoiler:Earth House during the team duel]], and later about [[spoiler:kidnapping Sarius under Shaddiq's orders.]]
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: She cuddles a rather large stuffed animal when she is first introduced.
* ShrinkingViolet: Her profile characterizes her as "timid, unsure, and a worrier".
* SleepyHead: Implied. In scenes inside Grassley dormitory, while the other girls are all sitting and active, she is laying down, cuddling her stuffed animal, and looking tired.
* WomanChild: Her demeanor and owing a toy comes off as rather childish.

----
* AlliterativeName: Her name '''M''' aisie '''M''' ay is a textbook example of this trope.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Her friendship with Ireesha is mentioned in the latter's profile, but they seem to be ''very'' intimate. Maisie reassures her when Ireesha worries Miorine would be upset by Grassley preventing GUND-ARM Inc, they are almost always seen together, and in the final scene of the series they are seen clinging to each other.
* DissonantSerenity: Still a cheerful ray of sunshine even when [[spoiler:kidnapping Sarius in the middle of a terrorist attack engineered by Shaddiq]] or [[spoiler:while incarcerated]].
* GenkiGirl: She's always energetic and full of positivity, [[spoiler:even when she ''really'' shouldn't be.]]
* NiceGirl: According to her profile, Maisie is a ray of sunshine who always looks on the bright side. [[spoiler:However, she started showing a much darker side starting from Episode 14, implying that this was a facade.]]
* PerpetualSmiler: She is ''always'' smiling, even as she [[spoiler:kidnaps Sarius]] or [[spoiler:watches as Norea beats Nika to near death.]] She's even smiling [[spoiler:while incarcerated]]!

A second-year pilot student in the Grassley dormitory. She is one of the female students who support Shaddiq. Although she appears to be cheerful, she is a black-hearted person with distinctly different attitudes towards girls than boys.
----
* TheCasanova: She is ''extremely'' popular with male students, seen flirting on her phone and planning a date moments before a duel. [[spoiler:She challenges Lilique personally because her ''12th'' "Back-Up Boyfriend" asked Lilique out.]]
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Yellowish-beige hair to go with golden eyes.
* CustomUniform: Her uniform jacket is completely unzipped, the left leg of her shorts is rolled higher than the right and she has a sleeveless top with a see-through undergarment under her jacket, along with a pair of fingerless black gloves.
* CuteLittleFangs: Like Felsi, Renee sports a pair of these.
* DisproportionateRetribution: She specifically [[spoiler:guns for Lilique in the team duel for the sole reason that Lilique turned down her 12th Back-Up Boyfriend, which she took as a slight against him and by extension herself.]]
* EvilCounterpart: She is nigh-identical to Felsi in almost all respects, but [[spoiler:Renee is in on Shaddiq's plan and has no issue letting terrorists kill innocent people, whereas Felsi is just a bully who over time proves herself to be more of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold]].
* FashionableAsymmetry: One leg of her shorts is rolled higher than the other.
* FullNameBasis: She refers to Lilique with her full name.
* GirlishPigtails: Renee wears her hair in this style, emphasizing her superficially cheerful personality.
* IdenticalStranger: While there are subtle differences, Renee looks similar enough to Felsi that it can be hard to tell that she's a different person unless they're seen side-by-side, and not just Felsi wearing a different hairstyle. Ironically, Episode 13 reveals they hate each other.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Exaggerated. She is angry at Lilique because [[spoiler:Renee's ''12th backup boyfriend'' asked her out. And Lilique ''turned him down''.]]
* UnknownRival: In episode 9, she tells Lilique that she's [[spoiler:joining the team duel]] to finally show who of the two of them is the best. Lilique has no idea what she's talking about. Turns out she was talking about [[spoiler:one of her "Back-Up Boyfriends" asking her out. Lilique remembers that, though that piece of info about who he was to Renee was obviously news to her.]]
