* AdultsAreUseless: Usually played straight, but averted with Jim, who helps a lot when given the opportunity ([[spoiler:the season 1 finale being the best example]]), and Franz Hopper, whose position as the BigGood ensures him being useful.
* BoardingSchool
* JuniorHigh
* MeaningfulName: "Kadic", for sci-fi author Creator/PhilipKDick, who was the physical inspiration for Franz Hopper.

'''Elisabeth "Sissi" Delmas'''

->''"I'm the star, the diva of the school!"''

->Voiced by: Carole Baillien (French), Jodi Forrest (English), Christine Flowers (English, four episodes in Season 1), Creator/GabyUgarte (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 1-2), Adriana Núñez (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 3-4), Cristina Yuste (European Spanish), Koharu Takeda (Japanese, Seasons 1-2), Mihoko Hijiri (Japanese, Seasons 3-4)

Daughter of Kadic Academy principal Jean-Pierre Delmas. She can have practically any boy at school -- but she wants Ulrich, who'd rather have nothing to do with her despite (or maybe because) [[UnluckyChildhoodFriend they'd known each other since childhood]]. To separate Ulrich from Yumi ([[JustFriends not that they're actually together, honest]]), Sissi makes a variety of attempts to undermine the bonds of friendship between the Lyoko Warriors. These often manifest as attempts to administratively separate them through her power as a one-girl AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil or the use of blackmail material to buy her way into the group. Either way, she has the potential to sow a greater division than XANA himself. The prequel two-parter "XANA Awakens" reveals that she had initially been in on the Lyoko Warriors' secret, but her memories of the Supercomputer's activation were wiped with a RTTP because she notified her father due to thinking her friends were in danger and a misunderstanding of betrayal occurred. [[ShipTease Hints dropped]] from late Season 2 and through Season 4 seem to reinforce {{Fanon}} that Sissi could be perfectly content with Odd -- so long as she doesn't realize it's a Bohemian like him that she connects with.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: A toned-down example toward Ulrich; unlike the usual, he doesn't reject her because she is ugly (she is actually quite attractive), but because he feels she is a BrainlessBeauty and an extremely annoying StalkerWithACrush.
* AbsurdlyPowerfulStudentCouncil: A one-person version, solely by virtue of being the principal's daughter.
* ActionSurvivor: Just try to count the numerous XANA attacks she was directly involved in that she survived.
* AlphaBitch: Though becomes a LovableAlphaBitch through CharacterDevelopment.
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: She wears a belly-shirt everywhere.
* BathingBeauty: She is said to take up to three showers a day, and she spends lots of time in them.
* BerserkButton: Sissi, much like Yumi has three buttons that can set her off:
** Calling her by her first name Elizabeth instead of Sissi will immediately anger her to the point of getting you on her hit list.
** Calling Sissi fat is also enough to anger her, which causes her quite a lot of grief.
** Being outdone as the MsFanservice of the school, which will also incite jealousy in Sissi, which is what happens with Yumi starting a rivarly with her, and again later on when her [[SexyScandinavian buxom Icelandic pen pal Brynja]] arrives at Kadic and hogs all the attention with the boys thanks to her big breasts and good looks, forcing Sissi into an EnemyMine with Yumi and Aelita to get rid of her, with Sissi asking Brynja to stay at her friend's place across the countryside.
* BigSisterInstinct: As often as she picks on them, Sissi is actually very protective of Milly and Tamiya during XANA's attacks. "Attack of the Zombies" makes a point of this.
* BrainlessBeauty: Or so she comes across; she's actually smarter than she seems.
* BrattyTeenageDaughter: To Principal Delmas. The poor man is just a little too good-natured to really do anything about it.
* ButtMonkey: She has awful luck, and everyone seems to dislike her to some extent. But she mostly brings it on herself.
* CatchPhrase: "Cretin(s)!"
* CharacterDevelopment: Becomes a progressively better person throughout seasons 1, 2, and 4 ([[DemotedToExtra not so much season 3.]])
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In many of the earlier Season 1 episodes scripted (though aired out of order), she was very malicious and more effective in her manipulation and antagonism. But then the writers decided to soften her, and she became the bumbling comedic ditz that we're all familiar with.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Where Ulrich is concerned. It annoys the hell out of him, since they're not together and it gives people the wrong idea.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She's way more openly antagonistic to the main group in Season 1. Come Season 2, she's warmed up to them quite a bit.
* DemotedToExtra: In Season 3 and 4, especially 3 (she becomes relevant again late into Season 4). She's even less present in the [[Series/CodeLyokoEvolution live action sequel]], although it could be considered [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome lucky she made it into the show at all.]]
* DependingOnTheWriter: The level of sympathy her character is treated with changes from episode to episode; shown moreso in Seasons 2 and 4 (where she was sympathetic in the majority of her appearances, though still had antagonistic moments) than 1 and 3 (where she... wasn't, though she did have moments in 1 and Season 3 saw her DemotedToExtra). Her level of intelligence also varies. While in Seasons 1 and 4 she can be very smart, she's mostly shown as stupid in the prequel and seasons 2 and 3.
* {{Determinator}}: In regards to finding out what the Lyoko gang is up to. Her level of commitment is either admirable or frightening.
* DoNotCallMePaul: "It's ''Sissi''! Not ''Elisabeth''!" Counts as a literal BerserkButton as it's one way to end up on Sissi's hit list.
* DungeonmastersGirlfriend: She ends up playing this role whenever she joins the party, even though she's not romantically involved with any of them (no matter how much she says she is with Ulrich).
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:After 3 seasons of snooping around and indirectly helping out the gang during XANA attacks, Sissi finally gets to befriend the Lyoko Warriors and is included in their group of friends, though she's not a full-fledged member. Ironically enough it's ''Ulrich'', the boy she has a hard crush on (and the one who initially banned her from being a full-fledged Lyoko Warrior) was the one to set things right.]]
* FriendlyEnemies: She and the gang are mostly very civil and casual with each other throughout Season 4. It only stops (temporarily) toward the end when her old suspicions consume her again, PlayedStraight by the sequel series where she's a genuine friend to the gang despite not being a full-fledged member.
* GreenEyedMonster: She's insanely jealous of Yumi due to Ulrich's crush on her and her general status as TheAce.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Owing to DependingOnTheWriter, but there are episodes where she can either be a selfless and very useful ally, and ones where she's either a nuisance, or a legitimately manipulative threat to the Lyoko Warriors. She fully settled on the face side of things by the end of the original series and continues into ''Evolution'', now a full on friend to the Lyoko Warriors despite not being a full on member of the group.
* HiddenDepths: More and more episodes show this as the show goes on, particularly how surprisingly selfless she can be during XANA attacks, very often helping other people even at risk to herself. [[spoiler:Even the misunderstanding that got her kicked out of the Lyoko gang was based upon frantic concern for their well-being.]]
* HopelessSuitor: Even ''before'' Yumi entered the scene, it was clear Ulrich had no interest in dating her.
* HormoneAddledTeenager: She's a little ''too'' amorous for her age, even. Though seeing as the series is set in France, it's {{justified}}.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: As early as Season 1, she admits that her primary reason for fixating so much on the main characters is that she wants to be included in their group of friends. Sissi finally gets her wish by the end of the series and is included in the Lyoko Warriors friend group.
* InformedAttribute: Stated by Ulrich to be a DudeMagnet in the prequel; however, the number of boys seen actually hitting on her onscreen doesn't exceed three (two of them being [[KidAnova Odd]] and [[AbhorrentAdmirer Herb]], and the third being a one-shot character who forgot about her as soon as he saw Yumi), and minor characters have been shown to be pretty aware of her being a BrainlessBeauty. In fact, Yumi technically gets more attention from boys than she does. Both girls eventually get outdone by Sissi's Icelandic pen pal Brynja who gets the attention of every boy in the school, forcing them into an EnemyMine.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Her usual attitude, though see HiddenDepths above.
* {{Jerkass}}: [[DependingOnTheWriter At her worst]], she's very mean, smug, and condescending to others, especially Milly and Tamiya (Whom she likes to [[TheBully belittle and humiliate]], [[ItAmusedMe often unprovoked]]), and Herb and Nicholas (whom she [[WithFriendsLikeThese treats less like friends and more like servants]]). She was mostly this in season 1 and TookALevelInKindness later, becoming more of a...
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's a bratty, self-absorbed snob, but she's a decent person deep down who can be incredibly brave and selfless when push comes to shove in a XANA attack (if he hasn't possessed her, of course). And she does genuinely care for Ulrich, even if she has a funny way of showing it. Sissi's fully settled on the heart of gold side as of ''Evolution'' as she's now a legitimate friend and ally to the group and fully drops the jerk part.
* LittleMissSnarker: She can't say two sentences without something snarky coming out.
* LingerieScene: She's in her underwear about as often as Yumi is in the bathtub.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: In the prequel two-parter episode where she is informed about Lyoko, she almost immediately tells the school staff about it and the Supercomputer's location, risking having them shut down (though she did only reveal it out of fear for their safety). After her memories of it are erased by Return to the Past, the group decides that she's too much of a blabbermouth to be trusted with knowledge of it. Sissi after being included into the Lyoko Warriors by the final episode is able to find out Jeremie actually kept track of all the times she's actually helped them out during XANA attacks in the Supercomputer's file logs allowing her to regain some sense of knowledge of the Lyoko Warriors during those times of crisis and is present when the Supercomputer's shut down.
* LoveDodecahedron: She is in love with Ulrich, who has feelings for Yumi, who is also the main love interest of William.
* MissingMom: WordOfGod states that Sissi's mother is alive, but lives away from Sissi and her father. She is never seen or mentioned in the show.
* MsFanservice: When she's not in a LingerieScene, she's dressed to play this to the hilt, a lot more compared to Yumi.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Only adults ever call her "Elisabeth", and she hates that. Everybody else calls her "Sissi".
* OutOfFocus: From Season 3 up until near the end of Season 4 (when the gang's suspicious activities increases to such a level that she can't ignore it anymore).
* ScreamingWoman: Played straight when she's confronted to XANA's latest attack. Parodied in "End of Take", where "AAAAAHH" is her sole line in James Finson's movie.
* ShipTease: With Odd, particularly in Season 2's "Déjà Vu" and Season 4's "Kadic Bombshell" or "Bad Connection".
* SpoiledBrat: Her father is a ''huge'' pushover where she's concerned, which she takes advantage of mercilessly. [[spoiler:Season 3's prequel two-parter reveals that she started out as a more SpoiledSweet pampered girl, but the misunderstanding between her and the gang that led to them becoming enemies changed this.]]
* StalkerWithACrush: Her crush on Ulrich tends to verge on this, as in some episodes she is willing to resort to things like blackmail and taking advantage on his LaserGuidedAmnesia to get him to date her. The fact she has apparently been trying to seduce him since ''Nursery School'', even though he never returned the affection, doesn't help. This tends to be toned down after her CharacterDevelopment.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: As revealed in the prequel, [[spoiler: she became more of an AlphaBitch thanks to the gang automatically distrusting her for something that, for all intents and purposes, never actually happened.]] She drops this mindset by the end of the series and is a full on friend to the group.
* ThrowTheDogABone: On occasion, and [[spoiler:in the final episode, when the gang at last decides to make her an "official" friend. Also counts as EarnYourHappyEnding, as it feels like an ultimate reward for all the multiple times she's helped out but doesn't remember, with shades of WorthyOpponent respect from the gang considering the stunt she'd just pulled prior to the final return to the past which caught them ''completely'' off guard.]]
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: A rival ([[UnknownRival sort of]]) case with Yumi.
* UnknownRival: Yumi is mature enough to realize that Sissi is a HopelessSuitor, and thus a rivalry between them is barely acknowledged on her part.
* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: She knows Ulrich and has a crush on him since ''Nursery School''. Though the "friend" part remains unconfirmed, seeing how Ulrich didn't seem to be on good terms with her in the prequel.
* WastedBeauty: [[{{Kidanova}} Odd]] considers her this. He's definitely physically attracted to her ([[DependingOnTheWriter depending on the episode, at least]]), but finds her personality unbearable, so he [[SitcomArchNemesis mocks her every chance he gets]]. Ulrich also finds her annoying, but, unlike Odd, it isn't made clear whether or not he thinks she's physically attractive (though it's often implied that he doesn't).

[[folder:Herb Pichon / Hervé Pichon]]
'''Herb Pichon'''

->Voiced by: Bruno Mullenaerts (French), David Gasman (English), Hiroki Shimowada (Japanese), Gerardo García (Latin American Spanish), Javier Balas (European Spanish)

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Herb is a good student in general, but [[TheHero Jérémie]] always has better grades than him.
* BrainsAndBrawn: He's the brain to Nicolas' brawn.
* CheatersNeverProsper: In "The Robots". Herb cheats on the robot competition against Jérémie in order to win, however, proof that he cheated is found on the video record Milly and Tamiya have made, and it's implied that even if a return to the past hasn't been done, he would've been outed as a cheater anyway. Played straight in the same episode after the return to the past, as Jérémie knew what to do in order counter Herb's attempt at destroying Kiwi II.
* TheDragon: The closest thing Sissi has to one. Nicolas is DumbMuscle, and thus for actual schemes, she kinda has to default to Herb.
* HopelessSuitor: To Sissi. Nothing he does ever catches her attention and makes him constantly jealous of Ulrich. Théo got under his skin too when he tried entering Sissi's gang during "Claustrophobia", clearly holding the torch for Sissi as well.
* {{Jerkass}}: [[DownplayedTrope He's usually not as mean as Sissi can be, since he's more passive]], but he's still very petty and not very nice, [[DependingOnTheWriter sometimes]] not even to his friend Nicholas. Sissi is the only one he's [[DoggedNiceGuy consistently nice to]], mostly due to his [[HopelessSuitor crush on her]] (and because he and Nicholas are kind of afraid of her).
* NerdyBully: He's a stereotypically nerdy kid who's just rude and unpleasant even when Sissi isn't around.
* NerdyNasalness: Speaks with a nasal sounding voice, and is quite nerdy.
* OddFriendship: With Nicolas, as they seem to have very little in common.
* TeenGenius: Despite being frequently overshadowed by Jérémie's and Aelita's IQ's, he is also a very bright student on his own.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Nicolas.
* UnknownRival: Compare with Sissi to Yumi; he's this to both Jérémie and Ulrich. He'd like to knock Jérémie down a peg or two based on their academic performances, but the latter sees he's mainly harmless. Ulrich thinks even less since he's never been that into Sissi in the first place.

[[folder:Nicolas Poliakoff]]
'''Nicolas Poliakoff'''

->Voiced by: Carole Baillien (French), Matthew Géczy (English), Masaru Uekura (Japanese), César Garduza (Latin American Spanish)

* AnnoyingLaugh: Nicolas seems to be known by his, with Odd stating in "The Chips Are Down" that he would recognize his laugh anywhere.
* BookDumb: In one episode he gets a zero on a test and Ms. Hertz has to tell him that a kilogram of mercury does not weigh a ton.
* BrainsAndBrawn: The brawn to Herb's brains, though he isn't seen strongarming too much.
* DumbMuscle: Is none too bright but is adequate in sports.
* HiddenDepths: He's an excellent drummer and is also fond of fishing.
* HopelessSuitor: To Aelita.
* LiteralMinded: One example of this happens in the final episode where Sissi needs an excuse to be absent from class and tells Nicolas to tell Jim the first excuse that pops into his head. HilarityEnsues when he tells Jim that Sissi ran into some aliens and went crazy.
* OddFriendship: With Herb, as they seem to have very little in common, yet are ThoseTwoGuys regardless.
* SimpletonVoice: His voice is pretty dopey-sounding compared to the other characters.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Herb.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Milly Solovieff]]
'''Milly Solovieff'''

->Voiced by: Mirabelle Kirkland (English), Gabi Beltrán (Latin American Spanish, first episode), Adriana Casas (Latin American Spanish, rest of the series)

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the first episode, Milly was insecure to the point of coming across as psychotic, getting emotional at the drop of a hat, and talking to her teddy bear when she's alone. For most of the series afterward, she's a perfectly normal girl.
* DeadpanSnarker: Has her moments. For example, during "Zero Gravity Zone", Tamiya zooming in on Ulrich's ass while he's playing soccer and making comments on the view gets this reaction from her:
-->'''Milly:''' Well thanks, Tamiya, for that excellent commentary on the game!
* GirlishPigtails: Her hairstyle features these.
* IntrepidReporter: She and Tamiya attempt to be this, always looking for their "scoop"; however, no-one really seems to take their journalism very seriously.
* HopelessSuitor: For Ulrich, in season 1.
* LikesOlderMen: She had a crush on Ulrich, who is older than her, also in "A Lack of Goodwill" she pretends to have written a love letter to the William clone to trick him into admitting being a clone.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: She's always referred to by her nickname, Milly.
* RedOniBlueOni: The emotional and quick to bite back red to Tamiya's more down-to-earth and rational blue.
* ThoseTwoGirls: With Tamiya.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tamiya Diop]]
'''Tamiya Diop'''

->Voiced by: Barbara Weber-Scaff (English), Miho Hino (Japanese), Nallely Solís (Latin American Spanish, most of the series), Creator/DianaPerez (Latin American Spanish, some episodes)

* BlackDudeDiesFirst: In "Attack of the Zombies", she's the first character to be zombified by Kiwi.
* CameraFiend: A given, since she is the camerawoman for Kadic News.
* FemaleGaze: PlayedForLaughs. Tamiya zooms in on Ulrich's butt while filming his soccer game. Milly is not too pleased about the quality of her coverage.
* IntrepidReporter: She and Milly attempt to be this, always looking for their "scoop"; however, no-one really seems to take their journalism very seriously.
* RedOniBlueOni: The usually rational and down-to-earth blue to Milly's quick-to-bite-your-head-off and emotional red.
* TokenBlackFriend: Is Milly's best friend and is black; unlike most examples, she is more level-headed.
* TokenMinority: She is black, with an African-sounding name.
* ThoseTwoGirls: With Milly.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Johnny Cleary]]
'''Johnny Cleary'''

->Voiced by: Jodi Forrest (English)

* BlushSticker: A permanent variant. His cheeks and his nose are always reddish.
* HopelessSuitor: To Yumi, starting in season 3.
* PrecociousCrush: Has one on Yumi.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Hiroki, once they start attending Kadic.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:William's Clone]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/awwwww_1449.png]]
[[caption-width-right:200:Clone William. Awwwwwww!]]
'''William's Clone'''

->''"To be specific, I'm a digitally-generated random polymorphic energy field controlled by a basic non-evolving behavioral program."''

->Voiced by: Mathieu Moreau (French), David Gasman (English), Alexei Mayén (Latin American Spanish), Pablo Sevilla (European Spanish)

A Polymorphic Clone created by Jérémie to replace William throughout season 4 while the latter is controlled by XANA, so that nobody at Kadic gets suspicious from his prolonged absence. The clone is close enough from the original to fool most people, although his programming isn't quite perfect, making him a LiteralMinded [[TheDitz Ditz]] -- and a big source of humor. Milly and Tamiya discovers something is amiss in episode "A Lack of Goodwill", and William's parents quickly find out he's an impostor (in episode "Down to Earth"), just before William's return.
----
* ArtificialHuman: A copy made of HardLight. It's able to simulate humanity well enough.
* CannotTellALie: He was never programmed to lie. He'd respond truthfully to any question asked by anybody, including about his true nature -- although being quite stupid and literal-minded, it's probable he'd misinterpret the question. And while he's aware another William exists, he still responds to William's name, which can cause further confusion.
* TheDitz: His artificial intelligence isn't quite advanced enough to make him act normal.
* {{Doppelganger}}: A rather... imperfect clone of William.
* HardLight: "Random polymorphic energy" to be precise, [[TechnoBabble whatever the hell that means.]]
* LiteralMinded: The most common expression of his ditziness:
-->'''Delmas:''' Well, Dunbar, my boy, I am glad to see your fever has broken and you're feeling well!\
'''Clone William:''' Eh... did I break anything else?
* OtherMeAnnoysMe: If the possessed William looks annoyed at the sight of his clone, it's nothing compared to what the real one discovers it did to his reputation when he's finally free.
* ReplacementGoldfish: He tends to exemplify the "Goldfish" part more than the "Replacement" part.
* TechnoBabble: The above quote.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the Lyoko Warriors, so long as XANA can't control him. He even goes so far as to try to fight the real William in one episode (not with much success, unfortunately).
* WalkingSpoiler: His very existence spoils William being BrainwashedAndCrazy by XANA.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: The Lyoko Warriors, with the exception of Aelita, are pretty dismissive of him; they don't really care if he gets punished and call him not a real human... even though Episode 81 shows he's starting to ''gain'' humanity. Aelita calls them on this, since they treated ''her'' like a human when they thought she wasn't.

'''Jim Moralès'''

->''"[[SubvertedTrope Actually]], I'd be glad to talk about it, but I don't have the time!"''

->Voiced by: Frédéric Meaux (French), David Gasman (English), Luis Alfonso Padilla (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 1-2), Jorge Ornelas (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 3-4), Cholo Moratalla (European Spanish), Shinya Fukumatsu (Japanese)

The Gym teacher and dormitory supervisor at Kadic Academy. A bit overweight and prone to speeches full of [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment redundancies]] and [[{{Malaproper}} malapropisms]], he's most often the [[PluckyComicRelief comic relief]]. But when [[LetsGetDangerous things get dangerous]] he can prove [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass extremely courageous]] and [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold fiercely protective of the children]]. Jim is sometimes the [[ButtMonkey butt of the students' practical jokes]], and as a result can be [[DrillSergeantNasty overly severe toward them]]. He's very suspicious of Team Lyoko, and ends up discovering the Factory several times, to have his memory erased by the [[ResetButton Returns to the Past]]. Starting with Season 2, whenever appropriate to the situation, his shtick is to mention one of the many jobs or hobbies he's supposed to have done in the past, from sewer worker to astronaut... Though [[NoodleIncident some of these might be true]], most are probably [[TheMunchausen wild exaggerations]], as suggested in the episode named for his CatchPhrase.
----
* EleventhHourRanger: Jim ends up briefly joining the Lyoko-warriors in the Season 1 finale and proves to be a vital help.
* {{Acrofatic}}: Is a bit on the pudgy side, but if the situation calls for it, he can really move.
* AmbiguousSituation: His endless stories about the amazing jobs and things he has done through his life. While there is some implication that at least some of them must be false, if anything because there are too many career jobs in them, absolutely nothing is confirmed or refuted in the show proper. It's even strange that, while Jim himself has proven to be a CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass, whether that one trait belongs to the moron or the badass remains thoroughly unanswered. When asked about it, the series head writer stated Jim is definitely lying in at least a couple of them, but the rest is a deliberate mystery.
* BadassTeacher: He doesn't appear to be one at first glance, but he can be. For one, he is the school's UsefulNotes/{{Silat}} teacher and has proven to be Ulrich's solid superior at it. He is also in pretty stellar shape and very tough and capable.
* ButtMonkey: Even more so than Odd and Sissi, being subject to physical comedy at his expense as much as verbal comedy.
* CatchPhrase: "I'd rather not talk about it," when referring to the various jobs he had, though it was not present in the first season.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: The absence of his catchphrase aside, he was ''slightly'' rougher around the edges in Season One and was not quite ''as'' weird compared to later on.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Even if he tries to present himself as a strict teacher, he has a ton of weird quirks and takes them to heart, and isn't even aware of how people actually laugh at his back for them.
* TheComicallySerious: While he's not completely devoid of a sense of humor, he takes himself very seriously. Too much, in fact, for the kind of eccentric he is.
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: When he thinks Odd went back on his word and leaked his[[invoked]] [[OldShame old dance movie]] to the other students, he punishes him with compulsory disco lessons!
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Most of the time, he is portrayed as goofy, clumsy, and a bit stupid, to the point that even the students don't take him seriously. When given the chance, however, he can actually be competent. At the very least, that he was in the military in some capacity seems to be true, and he is a martial arts instructor after all.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: He has a tendency of repeating or paraphrasing himself when he lets his speech meanders.
-->'''Jim:''' May I remind you that in the evening, girls and boys are prohibited from straying from their respective floors. Okay, for any of you who might be thinking of trying to pull anything, remember that the floors are different from each other in that either is upstairs from, or downstairs from, the one above. Girls are upstairs, and boys downstairs. Coming and going through upstairs to downstairs and from downstairs to upstairs are strictly forbidden. If I ever catch anyone going from downstairs upstairs or anyone going from upstairs to downstairs, he or she is really going to regret it stairs. [sic]
* DrillSergeantNasty: Apparently, he used to be one, and still has the mannerisms.
* {{Eagleland}}: His Hispanic surname, coupled with his claims of being a former Navy SEAL and NASA pilot, would mean he hails from the United States. He does resemble a bit the boorish side, being overweight, boastful and a bit of an idiot.
* ExpansionPackPast: Every time he talks about his past, he's got something new to add into the mix. No word on how much of it is true.
* GratuitousDiscoSequence: His secret video clip of Paco, King of Disco.
* HopelessSuitor: For the school nurse Yolanda, in "X.A.N.A.'s Kiss", as he went to give her a flower after a polymorphic clone with her appearance kissed him on the cheek, only to be told by the real Yolanda that she's already engaged with someone else.
* IMinoredInTropology: Or rather, "I was a former Navy SEAL/secret agent/space pilot/paranormal researcher, etc."
* InconsistentSpelling: His surname is officially written as "Moralès", but some dubs spell it by the more regular form "Morales" (the difference being, respectively, "Mo-ra-LES" and "Mo-RA-les").
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He is brash, hot-blooded and almost always angry, but he does care about the well-being of his students.
* LetsGetDangerous: On those rare occasions when he gets fully serious, he's a force to be reckoned with. He has proved to be a crackshot and a decent martial artist who is also in surprisingly good shape for his looks.
%%* {{Malaproper}}
* LikesOlderWomen: In several episodes he's shown to have a crush on Mrs. Hertz, who is clearly older than him.
* MeaningfulName: He's a gym teacher named Jim.
* TheMunchausen: Maybe. His various accounts of his previous life range from the reasonably believable (military, sports, some menial jobs) to the patently unlikely (NASA test dummy, paranormal research...), not to mention the sum of all of them would surely require more than one lifetime to fit, but there's no actual proof that he's lying in any case, and he does have some of the skills he claims. The series' head writer, Sophie Decroisette, revealed Jim is probably lying about having been a secret agent and a war photographer, but the rest is a mystery.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: There's the one time he accidentally caused Jérémie to fall down a flight of stairs and break his ankle when Jim got on his case yet again. He may be something of a jerk, but actually causing the students to get harmed is the exact ''opposite'' of anything he'd ever want to do, and he's genuinely broken up over the incident far more than his getting fired over it.
* NoodleIncident: Over the span of his career... too many to count.
* OldShame: In-universe, the Disco Paco dance movie he starred in. Until it starts to become a big hit with the students, at least. As for his other past careers, [[CatchPhrase he'd rather not talk about them]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: While Jim lacks gray hair and other signs of age like many of his other teacher compatriots, he was around to make a disco film in the seventies and has an adult nephew, and as he was already an adult in the film he's likely at least in his fifties.
* PapaWolf: The students may not actually be his children but they're his students and by golly, he's going to protect them!
* PhonyVeteran: Some of the jobs he claims to have occupied are related to the Army, the Navy, NASA and the secret service, including paranormal investigation. We are never shown any proof that Jim lies in his life tales, and the point about him having been a drill instructor seems legit, but the possibility of a man actually having done ''all'' the mentioned things (along with the rest of his stories) is admittedly very small.
* PluckyComicRelief: It goes to show [[AdultsAreUseless what kind of show this is]] that the old gym teacher plays this role.
* PointlessBandAid: Under his left eye. He probably thinks it makes him look tough.
* ProperlyParanoid: He is firmly convinced the Lyoko Warriors are doing something behind everyone's back, an impression Delmas only sees as paranoia.
* RealMenWearPink: Season 4 reveals his cellphone is pink and decorated with several hearts. Even ''Odd'' thought it was too girly.
* SixthRanger: Temporarily, at the end of Season 1. But then he gets his memory erased when the gang go back in time.
* TookALevelInKindness: In Season 1, Jim would often angrily give the Lyoko warriors punishments for various reasons. It came to head during the last two episodes of that season, where he spent a considerable amount of time trying to find out what they're up to, which made him antagonistic to them in general, to the point of inadvertently causing Jérémie to fall down a flight of stairs. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone This subsequently gets a horrified Jim fired]], but Jérémie decides to reveal the truth to Jim, as he was injured and needed Moralès to help. From this point forward, Jim seems to become a lot more lighthearted and comical as a character, even after the ResetButton in the Season 1 finale. It's notable that Season 2 is what picks up on the "I'd rather not talk about it..." RunningGag.

'''Suzanne Hertz'''
->Voiced by: Jodi Forrest (English), Nathalie Stas (French), Creator/PatriciaAcevedo (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 1-2), Alejandra Vegar (Latin American Spanish, Seasons 3-4)

* AdaptationalBadass: In the novel continuity, [[spoiler:she's confirmed to have military history, once being known as Major Steinback, and was Franz Hopper's primary confidant and ally during his time on the run from the Men in Black, and is the most notable of the adults on the Lyoko Warrior's side during their conflict with the Green Phoenix.]] The show proper never confirms if any of this history is true; the only confirmed root is that after Franz's escape to Lyoko, she took his place as Kadic's science teacher, with more esoteric guessing being based in her seeming to have a wider intellectual range at times than one might expect from a regular science teacher.
* ChekhovsClassroom: In many episodes, XANA's attack will be related to something Ms. Hertz teaches in that episode's class. While this trope is averted in most cases, as the content of her lectures generally doesn't help at all at stopping the attacks, it will sometimes give ideas to the group. For example, in "Marabounta", Ms. Hertz's lecture about ants gives Jéremie the idea of creating the computer program the episode is named after.
* DeadpanSnarker: Has her moments, specially when she's loosing her patience with Odd or Ulrich, like in this exchange from "A Great Day":
-->'''Ms. Hertz:''' Yes, and my job is also to ask questions, isn't it Odd? So, would you be kind enough to tell me the mass in moles of two oxygen atoms?\
'''Odd:''' Hmm... hmm...\
'''Ms. Hertz:''' 32 grams per mole. And the principle of photosynthesis?\
'''Odd:''' Uh, you mean?...\
'''Ms. Hertz:''' The synthesis of oxygen for plants possessing chlorophyll placed in light. Alright, here's an easy one now, which student in this graduating class is the biggest failure in science, who nevertheless takes the liberty of not listening to my lessons?\
'''Odd:''' Uhm, me, Ms. Hertz?\
'''Ms. Hertz:''' Bravo! Well done Odd, you see what you can do when you apply yourself?
* MeaningfulName: It's quite fitting that the Lyoko Warriors science teacher has ''Hertz'' as her surname.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: In "Nobody in Particular" she is able to punch Jim to the ground, even though by her build no-one would say she would be able to do such a feat.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Worked as Franz Hopper's assistant in the novels, and replaced him in Kadic as a science teacher after his disappearance.
* SternTeacher: A strict teacher that has no problems calling out her students if she believes they aren't paying attention to her class, or working hard enough on their studies.

'''Jean-Pierre Delmas'''

->Voiced by: Alan Wenger (English), Bruno Mullenaerts (French), Alejandro Mayén (Latin American Spanish)

The headmaster of the Kadic Academy and Sissi's father.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: [[spoiler:He's in on the conspiracy concerning Franz Hopper's disappearance in the novels. Unlike with Miss Hertz, who displays personality traits and knowledge in the show that tracks well with Hopper's own intellect at times which makes the detail potentially plausible for the animated series' backstory, this is more easily confirmed as an invention of that continuity; no indication is ever given in the show that he was aware of Hopper's activities, indeed, "Wrong Exposure" confirms that Delmas was clueless about Aelita's past.]]
* DependingOnTheWriter: He's either a strict and responsible principal, or a gullible buffoon that rivals Jim.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: His last name ("Delmas") was not revealed until the second season and his first name (Jean-Pierre) was a mystery until the third.
* ThoseTwoGuys: He and Jim sometimes have this dynamic, being Kadic's primary adult authority figures; they can often be seen together discussing the events going on or working together.

'''Kiwi'''

Odd's dog, which he brought secretly in Kadic and now hides inside his room with the help of Ulrich, since pets are forbidden at school. Kiwi tends to not do much besides eating, sleeping and in some occasion wreaking havoc in the room. Odd, however, is devoted to him.
----
* DogsAreDumb: If Jérémie's opinion is anything to go by.
* LoopholeAbuse: Used in one episode, where Jim finds out about Kiwi. When pointed out that pets are forbidden inside school, Odd notices that they are in the bus at this point, meaning they are technically outside school.
* MysteriousAnimalSenses: Can feel the presence of spectres and [[spoiler:Ulrich's consciousness in "Nobody in Particular"]].
* OpenSecret: Pretty much every student at the school knows that Odd is keeping him in his room in defiance of the rules; Sissi even threatens to tell on him in one episode, but apparently changes her mind later.
* PutOnABus : Does not appear at all in ''Evolution'', with Odd revealing he's staying with his sisters.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Bordering on UglyCute at times.
* RobotMe: Kiwi has a robot duplicate built by Jérémie. He doesn't like it.
* TeamPet: To the Lyoko Warriors.
