%%%% TV Tropes has a spoiler tags policy that says that spoiler tags cannot be used on trope titles or in character descriptions above the example line, if a trope is considered to be too much of a spoiler it should either be deleted or potholed in a different tropes example in their section. There is also a policy against Administrivia/{{Zero Context Example}}s so if there are tropes without examples they should either be deleted, uncommented or fixed. Do not use alternative names for trope titles to make them more specific, since they can make trope identification and alphabetical organization harder, so just add the specifics as part of the trope's examples.%%%%

[[folder:In General]]
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: They were much nicer people in their backstories and all of them willingly formed Konoha in a legitimate desire for peace and not because they were forced too. They only lose it after their brother's death followed by Hashirama proving himself as to much of a GeneralFailure.
* AlienBlood: Thanks to the magic of Senju DNA.
* BigBadDuumvirate: The original formation of their relationship.
* BodyHorror: The original three all got their faces blasted off during their fight with Hashirama and Mito at the Valley of the End.
* DarkMessiah: They all have Messiah complexes of varying levels of intensity, Susanoo being the standout example.
* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler:They all made a deal with the Shinto devil, Amatsu-Mikaboshi.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: For all their flaws, they all still love their brother.
* EvilOldFolks: Everyone except Izanami is old and evil.
* HeroKiller: Whenever they show up, someone dies.
* IntangibleMan: Mostly Tsukiyomi, but Susanoo, Amaterasu, and Izanami can stimulate intangibility in their own way.
* MalevolentMaskedMan: They all wear masks to hide their identities and their rather hideous faces.
* PowerOfTheVoid: [[spoiler:They have been associated in some way or another Amatsu-Mikaboshi.]]
* {{Revenge}}: No matter how well intentioned they think they are their plans always manage to include "Burn Konoha to the ground" as a key part of their endgame. Even Izanami seems to want revenge on someone or something.
* SpaceMaster: Tsukiyomi has dozens of sharingans, Susanoo has the rinnegan, Amaterasu has two Izanagi, and Izanami has kamui.
* VisionaryVillain: Each of them has a long-term goal, though they all differ from the other.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tsukiyomi -- The Deceiver]]
!!Tsukiyomi -- The Deceiver
* AffablyEvil: Even lampshaded by the Nibi.
* AndThenWhat: [[spoiler:After Konoha's destruction he has no clue what to do.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:He successfully convinced Kazama to destroy Konoha. That's a win for the ages.]]
* BadLiar: Despite being the stories ultimate ManipulativeBastard he can't lie worth a damn. He's told a grand total of one lie in the entire story and it was ''described'' as a badly told lie.
* BadassArmfold: From time to time.
* BadassLongcoat: His Akatsuki coat.
* BigBad: The first one of the story, due to creating the original Madara Trio.
* BigBadFriend: [[spoiler:To Kazama.]]
* TheChessmaster: Best shown during the Ame arc. With only four pieces he took over an entire country (or at least partial control).
* ChessMotif: The Knight.
* CoolOldGuy: He really tries hard to be one.
* DiabolicalMastermind: He was in his element during the Ame arc.
* EnemyMine: He has teamed up with [[spoiler:Kazama]] to kill [[BigBadDuumvirate Hanzo and Yagura.]]
* EvilCounterpart: Tsukiyomi and Kazama both came from formerly great clans, were former idealists that were both broken down by the evils of the world, and have rejected conventional morality to make their visions a reality.
* EvilGenius: Very intelligent, with no arrogance to cause him to overestimate his skills or underestimate his enemies, and can come up with gambits of all sorts in a matter of seconds.
* EvilMentor: [[spoiler:He has become one to Kazama, teaching him everything from Jutsu, combat skills, philosophy, to valuable life lessons.]]
* EvilOldFolks: Over ninety, yet still a major asskicker.
* EyesDoNotBelongThere: He has almost a hundred spare Sharingan on his arms to spam Izanagi with.
* FriendlyEnemy: Tsukiyomi tries to be one to Kazama. [[spoiler:And it has become somewhat mutual thanks to a mixture of StockholmSyndrome and LimaSyndrome.]]
* GlassCannon: Tsukiyomi describe's himself as one. But with his IntangibleMan powers, combined with his incredible skills, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and almost a hundred spare Sharingan to spam Izanagi with, he comes off more as an AdvancingWallOfDoom.
* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:He takes Kazama turning good extremely well.]]
* GuardianEntity: His Susanoo takes the form of a two faced four armed demon. According to WordOfGod, this is because it represents the combination of his and Izuna's ideals.
* HalfTruth: A master of this trope due to being a BadLiar.
* HazyFeelTurn: [[spoiler:After Konoha's destruction and Kazama's temporary HeelFaceTurn he loses all motivation and decides to spend his time helping out Kazama.]]
* {{Hellfire}}: Amaterasu.
* HeroicSacrifice: He sacrifices himself to give Kazuma an HeroicSecondWind.
* TheLeader: Of the trio. A type I to be exact.
* MagicalEye: His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and his is noticeably the strongest Sharingan in the story.
* ManipulativeBastard: His knowledge of human psychology is superb, and he's a master of the HalfTruth, which makes him an even better manipulator because he never technically lies to you.
* MindRape: Tsukiyomi. He's a master of this psychologically, mentally, and physically.
* NervesOfSteel: No matter what new trick you pull out of your ass, or what fancy new NextTierPowerUp you gain, it is impossible to make him lose his cool. The only exception was when he saw Kuebiko.
* OlderAndWiser: This Madara benefited from old age the most.
* ParentalSubstitute: He's the best father-figure [[spoiler:Kazama]] has ever had. Yeah, it's not a good thing that the poor kids life has been so crappy that the best father-figure he's ever had is the ''BigBad''.
* PlayingWithFire: The only Katon user better than him is the Sage of the Six Paths.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Comes with having the Akatsuki coat being his trademark look.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: Tsukiyomi discovered chess while he was WalkingTheEarth. [[spoiler:He has begun to teach his [[BastardUnderstudy apprentice]], Kazama.]]
* TheSocialExpert: Can easily predict how the masses will respond to different events and can turn it to his advantage.
* TheSpock: The calmest and most collected of the Trio.
* TeamDad: A rare evil version. He's almost half-way heroic when acting as [[spoiler:Kazama's]] father figure.
* TechnicolorFire: Justified, because of his complete mastery of Katon jutsu.
* VillainProtagonist: [[spoiler:[[BigBad Tsukiyomi]] has become one during the Alternate Amegakure Arc and onward.]]
* VillainousRescue: He's so good at this trope that you might mistake him for a heroic character. From saving [[spoiler:Kazama]] and [[spoiler:Naruko]] from [[spoiler:Susanoo.]] And then showing up in the nick of time with Zetsu to save [[spoiler:Izanami's]] life.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Susanoo -- The Destroyer]]
!!Susanoo -- The Destroyer
* AuraVision: He can see the Shinigami's power inside of Kazama with it.
* BadassTransplant: His Rinnegan.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: This is his justification for '''ANYTHING''' that happens in his life.
* BerserkButton: Telling him fate doesn't exist will make him lose it big time.
* BigBadDuumvirate: Susanoo and [[spoiler:Izanagi, acting as the [[GravityMaster Deva Path.]]]]
* TheBrute: Personality-wise. [[spoiler:He even has a series of Six Paths of Pain.]]
* ChessMotif: The Rook.
* DarkMessiah: Of the he actually believes he's the Messiah variety.
* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler:After Mikaboshi cuts him off he forces himself back to life with pure willpower and using his Senju DNA and Rinnegan as focus points.]]
* TheDragon: [[SummonMagic Animal Path/Hashirama Senju]]
* ElementalPowers: All five chakra types, but he's only used a Katon jutsu and Rain Tiger at Will once.
* EnergyAbsorption: Preta Path.
* TheEvilGenius: [[ShapeShifterWeapon Asura Path/The Third Kazekage.]]
* EvilCounterpart: Susanoo and Naruko are both {{Heroic Wannabe}}s. But while Susanoo thinks he's TheChosenOne and the Child of Prophecy, he is most obviously not and always goes on and on about BecauseDestinySaysSo. While Naruko says ScrewDestiny and refuses to believe in it, while unwittingly fulfilling everything the Child of Prophecy predicts.
* EvilGloating: Sometimes indulges in this. Some of his dialogue is even described as gloating.
* EvilSorcerer: He ironically fits many of the qualifications with his large arsenal of spell-like jutsu, his dark robes, and necromancy.
* EyeBeams: He somehow figured out that the Rinnegan can fire energy blasts of some kind.
* TheFatalist: Susanoo is a self-admitted one. His soul is even ''made'' of fatalism, according to Yugito's Soul Vision.
* {{Flight}}: With his GravityMaster powers.
* GeniusBruiser: When he isn't bitching about destiny, Susanoo is a far more threatening antagonist; [[spoiler:Izanami]], a ConsummateLiar, learned that lesson at (almost) the cost of her life.
* GravityMaster: His favorite Rinnegan power. His first answer to ''anything'' is to Shinra Tensei it.
* GuardianEntity: His namesake which takes the form of a big black dread knight. WordOfGod says this is because he wants to be a symbol of the inevitable.
* HealingFactor: Figured out how Kabuto's regeneration jutsu works.
* HairTriggerTemper: His FatalFlaw and the main reason why he isn't unstoppable.
* {{Hellfire}}: Amaterasu.
* HeroicWannabe: A very dark take of this trope on this trope to point that he ''inverts it'' with him becoming an EvilSorcerer!
* HiveMind: Only when he gets all Six Paths up and running though.
* HowDoIShotWeb: The other main reason why he isn't completely unstoppable is because he doesn't know how all of the Rinnegan's powers work because of his Nagato's early demise. Tsukiyomi even had to teach him how the Six Paths of Pain and the Rain Tiger at Will jutsu work.
* {{Hypocrite}}: [[spoiler:Naruko points out that despite preaching about destiny, he himself has been constantly denying it his entire life -- right down to refusing to die when the time has come at the Valley of the End.]]
* ImplacableMan: Virtually impossible to slow down, let alone defeat.
* IntangibleMan: [[spoiler:Until chapter 36.]]
* {{Irony}}:
** The man who thinks he's TheHero and TheChosenOne acts like a textbook BigBad EvilSorcerer.
** [[spoiler:The man who believed that fate and destiny dictates all things in the multiverse has been defying his own fate of dying from the day he fought Hashirama and Mito at the Valley of the End.]]
* LeeroyJenkins: He's the main reason the Madara Trio and the Arashi clan first became enemies in the first place.
* MagicalEye: You should know what his eyes are.
* TheMcCoy: The Trio's most impulsive member.
* MightyGlacier: His rinnegan abilities make him extremely formidable, but slow at the same time.
* MindRape: Tsukiyomi. It's not as powerful as Tsukuyomi's, though.
* MindReading: Ties in with Mindrape and what he uses to get information.
* {{Necromancer}}: First by reanimating corpses to act as his Paths. [[spoiler:Then he learns Edo Tensei to revive Izanagi and [[OhCrap ''five Kages'' to become his Paths.]]]]
* ObliviouslyEvil: [[spoiler:Best shown when he when he was planning to defeat Kazama. He seemed a lot more heroic than Kazama has been lately.]]
* ObviouslyEvil: Even ''[[TooDumbToLive Yahiko]]'' didn't trust this version of Madara.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Well, he is called "The Destroyer".
* PoliticallyCorrectVillain: For all of his many flaws, he finds misogyny to be disgusting.
* PowerNullifier: Preta Path.
* PowerOfTheVoid: [[spoiler:Until chapter 36 again.]]
* PressurePoint: Knows how some of the Hyuuga's Gentle Fist Taijutsu works.
* PsychopathicManchild: He doesn't fit into any clear type but he is one. At times he seems to have the maturity of a twelve year old and every time his BerserkButton is pushed he throws a temper tantrum. His MotiveRant has revealed himself as a Type B. While very intelligent his motivation is basically the same as a child who can't figure out why bad things happen for no good reason.
* ShapeShifterWeapon: Asura Path [[spoiler:was mainly used by Wave-verse Sasuke when he was turned into a Path. Also later used by Susanoo to modify his body after he lost Mikaboshi's powers.]]
* SummonMagic: Animal Path, although it was originally worthless because multiversal jumping cuts you off from your Summons. Only when he gets all Six Paths running does it become useful again.
* SuperPowerLottery: He can use both the Sharingan and Rinnegan ''at the same time.''
* YouCantFightFate: The reason why he's TheFatalist. He believes that if you try to ScrewDestiny the multiverse will make you suffer and everyone you know suffer while forcing you to fufill your destiny no matter what you do so you should just do what destiny says so no one will have to suffer.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: [[spoiler:As of Chapter 36.]]
* YourSoulIsMine: His second most favorite Rinnegan power. He has a nasty habit of stealing souls for information. [[spoiler:He's also confident in its ability to steal the Shinigami's power.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Amaterasu -- The Warrior]]
!!Amaterasu -- The Warrior
* AffablyEvil: He is polite and cordial to his enemies, wanting to see them all as {{Worthy Opponent}}s.
* BadassTransplant: After spamming Izanagi to ''[[spoiler:kill a Kyuubi]]'' he replaces his old Sharingan with his worlds Itachi's Sharingan, who he killed.
* BaddieFlattery: Amaterasu constantly and honestly compliments his opponents valour and determination during his fights.
* BloodKnight: Amaterasu has turned himself into the AnthropomorphicPersonification of this trope [[spoiler:to cover up how much he hates himself.]]
* BreakingLecture: First he dishes out one on [[spoiler:Fugaku and Mikoto]] calling them out on their pettiness and how they are just SelfishEvil losers with a serious case of ChronicBackstabbingDisorder instead of people protecting their clan like they claim. It doesn't work...because he's completely right and they're so SelfishEvil that they are incapable of caring about anyone but themselves. He then dishes one out on [[spoiler:Shisui]] explaining to him the InsaneTrollLogic that the [[spoiler:Uchiha clan]] runs on and how pathetic it is to be an [[spoiler:Uchiha]]. This one is completely successful turning [[spoiler:Shisui]] into a BoomerangBigot and making him mastermind the [[spoiler:Uchiha Massacre.]]
* ChessMotif: The Bishop.
* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Of being a BloodKnight fighting honorably. Becoming War itself has been a completely empty experience and has left him with nothing of true value. It is also pointed out that if Amaterasu wasn't honorable, he could be practically invincible.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu?: Amaterasu kills [[spoiler:the ''Kyuubi''.]] Yes, you read that right.
* TheDragon: The most physically-oriented of the Trio, and he seems to not mind giving the other two more authority. Ironically, despite being "War made flesh", he keeps the peace between Tsukuyomi and Susanoo.[[spoiler:He's also the first one to die.]]
* {{Expy}}: Ability wise, he's Gilgamesh from ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight''. Mentally, his SocialDarwinist idealology is the same as Shishio Makoto, the BigBad of ''Manga/RurouniKenshin''.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler:Amaterasu faces his death with an extreme amount of dignity. He even congratulates the people who killed him.]]
* GenderBlenderName: "Amaterasu" is the name of the Shinto ''goddess'' of the sun. In fairness, Warrior!Madara was likely aware of this when he took the name -- he and the other two were picking the names of the three Great Gods after whom their most noted techniques were named, so they were likely unconcerned about the gender of the original name carriers.
* GeniusBruiser: Most obviously, his mind is as sharp as his swords. He was even able to scam extra information out of [[spoiler:[[GodOfEvil Amatsu-Mikaboshi]]]], something even Tsukiyomi couldn't accomplish.
* GracefulLoser: Or, as he puts it: "[[spoiler:Congratulations, worthy warriors. You Won.]]"
* HandicappedBadass: [[spoiler:He was blind at the end of his fight against Zabuza and Jiraiya and still managed to take Zabuza with him.]]
* TheHeart: Ironically, despite claiming to be the living incarnation of War, he kept the peace between Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi. After his death, the two quickly separated.
* HeroKiller: The best example of this trope in the story, killing off [[spoiler:Kisame, Sakura's Kyuubi, and Zabuza at different points in time.]] Among others. Tellingly, [[spoiler:the other two Madara mostly take to the background for a while after his death.]]
* HonourBeforeReason: Amaterasu is a villainous version. However, in his dying moments, he acknowledged it, but still chose honor in order to respect his little brother's promise.
* ItsAllJunk: [[spoiler:Amaterasu, on his deathbed, realizes this of all his achievements -- no matter how many weapons he has obtained, they don't do him any genuine good and they brought him nothing in the end. He accepts this with quiet dignity.]]
* TheJuggernaut: Nothing ever stops Amaterasu, not even [[spoiler:the Kyuubi.]] He only slows down when he chooses to slow down. [[spoiler:He was only killed ''because'' he chose to slow down and fight fair.]]
* LightningBruiser: To the point where he's TheJuggernaut.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: By Jiraiya and Zabuza.]]
* TheKirk: He's probably the sanest and most reasonable member of the Trio, despite mostly being an all-around bastard.
* ManipulativeBastard: While he doesn't do much manipulating in the present [[spoiler:he helped send the Uchiha clan onto their path of self-destruction in his homeworld by making that his support would let them get away with things they really couldn't.]]
* NobleDemon: Amaterasu is a deconstruction of the trope. He has a strict code of honor (and is arguably the ''nicest'' of the Madara Trio, which isn't saying much), but he's NOT an AntiVillain. [[spoiler:He gets an effective AlasPoorVillain scene, though, acknowledging that his accomplishments as a great warrior haven't really brought him anything of lasting worth and congratulating his enemies for defeating him.]]
* RememberWhenYouBlewUpASun: Amaterasu will forever be remembered as the man who killed [[spoiler:the Kyuubi.]]
* TheSocialDarwinist: He believes heavily in the strong ruling the weak. It ties all his other traits together, but it's subverted in the end we realize that his beliefs didn't really matter.
* StormOfBlades: One of Amaterasu's techniques is called this. It's based on [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight the Gate of Babylon]].
* WorthyOpponent: {{Exaggerated}}, since he wants to see any of his foes as such. Do something that genuinely impresses him and you'll instantly gain his respect no matter how much he may curb-stomp you. Just ask Kitsune for example.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Izanami/Tobi -- The Undying]]
!!Izanami/Tobi -- The Undying
* AdaptationalBadass: [[spoiler:And not just power-wise. Izanagi really underestimated his teaching skills given how effective, competent, and magnificent this Mikoto can be.]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: She loves being a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside of an enigma. [[spoiler:She seems to be leaning towards 'good' lately, although it's unknown whether she was GoodAllAlong, or a heartwarming case of LoveRedeems.]]
* AnimalMotifs: The preying mantis.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: [[spoiler:She was in love with Kushina for a long time, but Kushina was straight and loved Minato. This was the start of LoveHurts for Izanami.]]
* AlmostKiss: Loves to invoke this trope.
* ArchEnemy: [[spoiler:[[EvilMentor Izanagi.]]]]
* AscendedExtra: Like you WOULD NOT believe.
* AtLeastIAdmitIt: A comedic example with her believing that all women are as perverted as men, with her being the only one to admit it.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:She died in a river and Izanagi revived her with an unknown jutsu that made her part ghost.]]
* BadassArmfold: Usually when making a BadassBoast, she seems to have mimicked her own Madara's CharacterTic.
* BadassBoast: Makes a rather impressive one after dropping her ObfuscatingInsanity facade. [[spoiler:She wasn't boasting, that's the ''really'' badass part.]]
--> Izanami: Do you really think you can kill me? If you are truly immortal, then I am undying. Nothing short of a god can kill me.
* BastardUnderstudy: Izanami was this to her Madara [[spoiler:- [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness when he tried to replace her because she's a woman]]]] he learned [[spoiler:[[HoistByHisOwnPetard that he had trained her too well.]]]]
* BeautifulAllAlong: She is described as a StringyHairedGhostGirl with her mask on but is described as a peerless beauty with it off. Although this mostly comes from Kazama's point of view so it might be biased. Chibaku later states that while she is attractive, she's less so than Mei or Konan.
* BecomingTheMask: [[spoiler:While she originally went along with the training to better betray Izanagi]], to a certain degree, she seems to have come to enjoy the lifestyle of a FemmeFatale, loving all of the vices, pleasures, sex, and trolling that comes with it. [[spoiler:This is hinted to be because she hated being a housewife.]]
* BerserkButton: [[spoiler:Do ''not'' threaten or try to hurt her son. '''Ever.''' Izanagi found this out the hard way.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: She intimidated the Madara into letting her in by threatening them with the Edo Tensei zombie of [[spoiler:''The Sage of the Six Paths'']].
* TheBlank: Her WhiteMaskOfDoom seems to invoke this.
* BlatantLies: "Nami is a good girl" as she puts it. [[spoiler:Even if she ''is'' a good guy she definitely isn't a 'good girl' given her rather lustful nature.]]
* BrokenBird: One of the many, MANY maybes about her. As of Chapter 36, [[spoiler:it's been revealed to be true.]]
* BroughtDownToNormal: [[spoiler:She loses her immortality once the Shinigami hits her with an attack.]]
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Izanami is a perverted, trolling, borderline nymphomaniac that is also an extremely skilled schemer, organizer, planner, and fighter that is able to effortlessly outwit or overpower even the most cunning and powerful foes when serious.
* ButtMonkey: A dramatic example. While Izanami is at first introduced as a powerful mastermind, as her past and current situation is revealed, it becomes clear she's a sad, bitter woman, who's life has become a trainwreck of failed relationships,broken dreams, unrequited love, jealousy, and self-loathing.
* CameBackStrong: [[spoiler:Izanagi brought her back as an immortal with ghost powers.]]
* CastingAShadow: [[spoiler:One of her ghost powers involves shadow manipulation.]]
* CombatMedic: Izanami is a medic skilled enough to heal Nagato after using the Gedo Mazou and badass enough of a combatant that she can tangle with a zombie Madara Uchiha.
* CompanionCube: Her WhiteMaskOfDoom seems to be this to a certain degree, she has a strange attachment to it. Even after her identity is revealed she still wears it.
* TheConfidant: [[spoiler:She and Kazama are this to each other.]]
* ConsummateLiar: Oh hell yes. She uses the fact that no one knows the events of her universe for all it's worth.
* CovertPervert: If her internal monologues are anything to go by Izanami has a healthy appreciation for both the male and female form covertly inspecting everyone before choosing her prey and pouncing as a ChivalrousPervert as Kazama (happily?) found out.
* CrazyHomelessPeople: Sort of; Izanami started out as a possibly crazy lady living in a cave. She's moved up in the world since then.
* CrazyPrepared: Just look at all of her Edo Tensei countermeasures.
* CursedWithAwesome: [[spoiler:She's completely immortal and undying, but at the same time, she's ''[[WhoWantsToLiveForever completely immortal and undying]]''. The only thing she wants nowadays is a way to cure the curse Izanagi put her under.]]
* DarkActionGirl: Yeah, she's not a NonActionBigBad. When she wants to she can kick some serious ass.
* DarkIsNotEvil: [[spoiler:Dresses in black, but easily the nicest and most morally incline of them all.]]
* DistractedByTheSexy: She finds Yugito so attractive that she had to stare at ''corpses'' in order to stop thinking about her.
* TheDogBitesBack: [[spoiler:To Izanagi, and it was an OffscreenMomentOfAwesome for Izanami. Izanagi deserved every second of it.]]
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette
* EnigmaticMinion: She still manages to be this after joining the BigBadDuumvirate. No one knows what she wants, if she even wants anything at all.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: [[spoiler:While not 'evil', Izanami was unable to understand that Kazama didn't want to get into a relationship with her not because he didn't like her, but because he believed that he couldn't be the person to give her the love she deserves.]]
%%zce* Evil Genius:
* FemmeFatale: Izanami fits every qualification besides wearing a baggy black kimono instead of a more revealing outfit. She even lampshades it.
* FlamingSword: One of her abilities.
* ForHappiness: This seems to be how she views sex.
* FragileSpeedster: She moves around a lot very quickly, and uses swift attacks. Due to her ghost powers, she has little need to worry about defending herself from attacks.
* GambitSpeedChess: In hindsight she's even more of a {{Chessmaster}} when you realize that she came up with all of her plans in mere seconds without having a clue about what was going on and still being able to adapt to such an insane scenario while changing her schemes accordingly.
* TheGlomp: Tends to show her affection by caressing, groping, or by hugging someone as tightly as possible while violating their sense of personal space. Her hands are like an iron vice. ResistanceIsFutile.
* GoodAllAlong: [[spoiler:Maybe. It's either this or LoveRedeems.]]
* GoodBadGirl: [[spoiler:She acts as Kazama's moral support and is more ethical than him... except when it comes to being sexually active; she's a Jiraiya level pervert, gleefully gropes him, and happily took his virginity.]]
* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:Once it was clear that Kushina and Minato loved each other, though very bitter, Izanami stopped pursuing Kushina and wished them happiness. This is very noticeable given how two other Mikoto decided to help kill Kushina in revenge for not returning their feelings.]]
* TheHedonist: Due to her BecomingTheMask and [[spoiler:being immortal]], she states that she constantly seeks new pleasures, mainly those of sexual nature. It's highly implied that she has made a long line of sexual conquests over both men and women with [[spoiler:Kazama]] being her greatest conquest.
* HeroicSeductress: [[spoiler:She is very good at seduction, apparently due to Izanagi's training.]]
* ILied: It's like crack for Izanami. She's lying to AT LEAST two different factions, with at least two lies to each of them.
* IdenticalGrandson: [[spoiler:Her and all of her counterparts are stated to look exactly like Madara's wife, Yumi.]]
* {{Immortality}}: [[spoiler:What Izanagi gave her unwillingly.]]
* ImmortalProcreationClause: [[spoiler:Due to her immortality she can't get pregnant or give birth, it's highly implied that the reason is because she's frozen in time.]]
* IncompatibleOrientation: [[spoiler:She loved her Kushina, but Kushina loved Minato. While she was distraught, she respected Kushina's decision.]]
* IndyPloy
* IntangibleMan: She can become intangible like the Madara [[spoiler:because she's part ghost.]]
* {{Irony}}:
** [[spoiler:Many people in the Naruto universe seek immortality. Izanami is the only person who has CompleteImmortality, and she doesn't want it.]]
** [[spoiler:She hates Minato, but she fell in love with the version of Naruto that is the most like Minato.]]
** [[spoiler:She hates her former persona yet is TheConfidant to a cynical leader like her more mainstream Alive!Yondaime self.]]
** [[spoiler:Her more mainstream self is an InsecureLoveInterest to her romantic partner, while Izanami's significant other is the InsecureLoveInterest to her.]]
* ItAmusedMe: Part of the reason Izanami was lying to the Madara and Kazama. It's like meth to her.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Her main weapon.
* TheLancer: [[spoiler:Izanami has become Kazama's right-hand woman as the Amekage, acting as his closest confidant and is the only person he trusted besides Konan until the rest of the Arashi came back. She also fits the traditional Lancer role by acting as Kazama's most vocal critic. Kazama also seems to be her Lancer as well helping her with her own issues.]]
* LargeHam: Whenever she's in her Tobi persona she loves to ham it up. She also gets rather hammy when genuinely upset or angry in a Drama Queen like fashion.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: [[spoiler:She is the only person who truly understands Kazama after all of his CharacterDevelopment and is the main reason why he hasn't gone evil.]]
* LongingLook: Gives one to [[spoiler:Kazama]] whenever he isn't looking at her.
* LossOfIdentity: [[spoiler:Izanami seems to have no idea who she really is. She can be a ManipulativeBitch {{Troll}} one second, a calm, caring [[TheConfidant confidant]] the next, an angry spiteful woman that hates the world, a lustful FemmeFatale, a sad [[TheWoobie Woobie]] that hates her immortality and wants to find a loving man, a competent NumberTwo {{Lancer}}, and a LargeHam DramaQueen. The only things that seem real about her is her love for her son, her love for Kazama, and a scathing hatred for her former YamatoNadeshiko self. She shares this with [[LoveInterest Kazama]].]]
* LovableSexManiac: [[spoiler:Well, Kazama finds her lovable, and Izanami is the one who loves sex.]]
* LoveHurts: Despite her lustful nature, Izanami's been burned by love all her life and her romantic relationships have been a long string of failures from [[spoiler:her failed first marriage, her DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything undertones with Izanagi, to her unrequited love for Kushina.]]
* LoveRedeems: [[spoiler:She's fallen in love with Kazama and it has seemingly brought her down a brighter road.]]
* MagicalEye:The Sharingan. It appears that she hasn't gotten past the three-tomoe stage (yet).
* MamaBear: [[spoiler:Izanagi made his last mistake when he set his eyes on her son.]]
* ManipulativeBitch: She prefers to emotionally manipulate people, seduce men, and invokes ObfuscatingStupidity to make people underestimate her.
* AManIsAlwaysEager: Gender inverted. She loves sex [[spoiler:and was the person who convinced Kazama to take their relationship to the next level and took his virginity.]]
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: [[spoiler:While Izanami is as sexy as hell and knows it when it comes to being in an actual romantic relationship with Kazama she finds herself acting as the major masculine driving force in contrast to the insecure Kazama and is the one wearing the pants and tends to be the one who makes the final verdict, so to say.]]
* MasterSwordsman: Best shown when she cut through a Susanoo.
* MissingMom: [[spoiler:To Itachi, who probably doesn't even remember her given that she was forced to run when he was an infant.]]
* MoralityChain: [[spoiler:Both her and Kazama are both a step away from a FaceHeelTurn and the only thing stopping them from doing so is the love they have for the other.]]
* {{Necromancer}}: [[EnigmaticMinion Izanami]] is the biggest user of this trope -- Edo Tensei is practically her signature jutsu. She [[spoiler:hasn't used it as much since the fight with Susanoo.]]
* NonActionBigBad: She has noticeably never entered direct combat, instead relying on manipulation, threats, blackmail, coercion, proxies, and killer zombies to get what she wants. This might be justified because her Madara trained her to be a spy and seductress. But given her habit of lying and withholding information, she might be a more powerful direct combatant than she lets on, plus certain people say she's good with a sword... [[spoiler:She is confirmed to be ''very'' good at fighting, even without her zombies.]]
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: ''Especially'' when she's around Kazama. She will never turn down a chance to touch or grope him. She is either being a {{Troll}} or she's so broken inside that it's the only way she can show affection.
* ObfuscatingInsanity: In her first appearance.
* ObliviouslyEvil: [[spoiler:While not 'evil', Izanami is completely oblivious to the fact that Izanagi was far more successful in remaking her into Tobi than she realizes.]]
* OfficialCouple: [[spoiler:With Kazama]].
* OhCrap: Has this reaction when Fire is revealed to be [[spoiler:an alternate Kushina.]]
* OmnicidalManiac: Izamani ''claims'' she wants to be one. But since [[UnreliableNarrator Izanami]] said it... Well take ''that'' claim with a grain of salt. [[spoiler:It was a lie after all, it seems.]]
* PlayingWithFire: As a Uchiha, she has a plethora of Fire Jutsu at her disposal.
* ThePowerOfHate: Uses this to power up her Katon Jutsu when remembering her time with [[spoiler:Izanagi.]]
* PowerPerversionPotential: Izanami is shamelessly perverted. She regularly sneaks into Kazama's room with her IntangibleMan powers and is implied to use her Sharingan to properly admire people that she likes to see. If you catch my drift.
* ProperlyParanoid: [[spoiler:She was so afraid of Izanagi that she believed that someone would revive him with Edo Tensei even though she had all of his DNA so she created lots of Edo Tensei counter measures. Irrationally paranoid? Yes. Did it save everyone's lives? Hell yes.]]
* PurpleIsPowerful: Wears a more practical outfit that incorporates a lot of purple in it underneath her black kimono.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Raven hair and pale skin.
* {{Reincarnation}}: She is the reincarnation of her world's [[spoiler:''Indra Ootsutsuki'',the Sage's Elder son skipping over Madara to shed his bad karma.]]
* RedHerring: She is not [[spoiler:a GenderFlip of the Tobi we know]]; she is actually [[spoiler:an alternate, immortal Mikoto Uchiha.]]
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: Her backstory with her Madara remaking her into Tobi. [[spoiler:He was only halfway successful.]]
* RichesToRags: She was born into the Uchiha clan with everything she ever wanted baring the person she loved, after a NoodleIncident, she became a crazy lady that lived in a cave with a DomesticAbuser version of Madara.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: [[spoiler:Kazama copes with his issues by acting stoic and driven. While Izanami likes to cover up her pain by being as bombastic and trolly as she can, there are certain signs that she is just a natural LargeHam so it might not be all an act.]]
* SecondLove: [[spoiler:Can be seen as this to Kazama depending on how you view his old crush for Sakura.]]
* SexGoddess: [[spoiler:She seems to be so skilled in bed that Kazama was described to have de-aged a few years after she was done with him.]]
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: [[spoiler:This is most likely why she's trying to romance Kazama. While he ''is'' a rather hardcore AntiHero, he is also the first person to be truly kind to her in ''years''.]]
* ShutUpKiss: [[spoiler:Does this on Kazama to pull him out of a pity party.]]
* SitcomArchnemesis: She has a one-sided rivalry with Mei.
* TheSmartGirl: [[spoiler:Thanks to her Madara's training she knows a lot of things like canon Tobi does.]]
* SoulPower: [[spoiler:Several of her powers come from being part-ghost.]]
* SpellBlade: Can enhance her katana with TechnicolorFire.
* StealthHiBye: How she usually greets Kazama.
* StupidSexyFlanders: She is quickly becoming this to Yugito and is loving every second of it.
* SummonMagic: Her Preying Mantis Summons, who all seem to be {{Straw Feminist}}s.
* StringyHairedGhostGirl: She has deathly pale skin, is extremely thin, has long black hair, and seems rather ghost like. [[spoiler:She's revealed to ''be'' part ghost and is actually similar to the ''onryo'', the ghost of a woman who was wronged by a man.]]
* TeleportSpam: She abuses her teleporting abilities for all that they're worth.
* TechnicolorFire: Her Katon Jutsu can turn blue when she uses ThePowerOfHate.
* ThatManIsDead: [[spoiler:Thanks to her Madara's TrainingFromHell, abuse, and a lot of other events, everything except her love for her son and possibly her friendship with Kushina from her former persona has died; she even admits this, feeling nothing when she meets a more mainstream counterpart.]]
* AThreesomeIsHot: Izanami always suggests threesomes to both men and women. Kazama finds this mortifying.
* {{Troll}}:
** [[RunningGag Being one is like pot to her]]. She loves screwing with people, from joining the Madara to scope out their abilities, to ''groping Kazama's ass for fun''.
** She and Mei have recently formed a relationship based around Troll-to-Troll Combat.
* UnreliableNarrator: SO. GOD. DAMN. MUCH. It's impossible to separate the truth from her lies. It's like [[OverlyLongGag cocaine]] to her.
* TheUnreveal: Izanami takes off her WhiteMaskOfDoom in front of Kazama...but Kazama has no idea who she is, so neither do the readers.
* UnscrupulousHero: [[spoiler:She is on the side of good, but her moral compass is only slightly stronger than Kazama's and tends to go out the window whenever Kazama or Itachi might be in danger.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: To the point that her true identity has been revealed and we still don't know everything about her.
* WhiteMaskOfDoom: Her version of the Tobi mask is this.
* WhoWantsToLiveForever: [[spoiler:She wants to get rid of her immortality because she's afraid it will eventually drive her insane, make her complete her FaceHeelTurn, and become the next Madara.]]
* {{Yandere}}: PlayedForDrama and deconstructed. [[spoiler:She was one to Kushina who acts as her personal Uchiha obsession. She worships her and treats her like she's God's Gift to Earth endlessly obsessing over her, and this is multiversal, a lot of Mikoto actually have a possessive-obsessive relationship with Kushina. One helped assassinate her because she got married, another killed her husband because he helped assassinate her, and a third one sent her Kushina to her death for turning her down. This leads to a deconstruction, being a yandere destroyed Izanami's life, left her Kushina as an embittered cynic, and one of the Kushinas her counterparts ruined out of spite returned as a monster to haunt Izanami, in the end Izanami has some serious problems. Izanami only gets the relationship she wants after stopping being a yandere.]]
* YouOweMe: Tells Kazama that she wants 'compensation' after she gives him one of her Anti-Edo Tensei talismans. Three guesses on what she wants and the first two don't count. [[note]]It's sex, but with her on top.[[/note]]

[[folder:Izanagi -- The Creator]]
!!Izanagi -- The Creator
* ArchEnemy: [[spoiler:[[BastardUnderstudy Izanami]].]]
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler:His first death was cruel and unusual, but you can't deny that it was extremely satisfying to imagine him suffer like that.]]
* BadassArmfold: [[spoiler:When making a BadassBoast. His apprentice has copied his CharacterTic.]]
* BadassBoast: [[spoiler:Makes one upon his revival and swearing revenge on Izanami.]]
---> [[spoiler:Madara/Izanagi: Izanami is a fitting name, for she is the goddess of the dead, and reborn again. I? I am Izanagi, the creator, who will send her back into the hell that spawned her.]]
* BadassTeacher: [[spoiler:As twisted as he was you can't deny his results, though in a contrast to Tsukiyomi, he never realized this or the progress his student had made.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: [[spoiler:With Susanoo.]]
* BigBadWannabe: [[spoiler:While powerful and dangerous after his revival Izanagi has no clue of the cosmic powers in play. Acting as Susanoo's pawn, all he manages to gain is Hashirama's hatred, and to crank this up he was never Indra's reincarnation meaning all of his plans were in vain.]]
* BreakTheHaughty: [[spoiler:Played with. He has canon-Madara's ego but being killed by Izanami taught him to just ColonyDrop his opponents rather than show off, but at the same time, he got way too sure of himself and underestimated Izanami a second time.]]
* CameBackStrong: [[spoiler:Luckily not as strong as his canon self, but thanks to him being CrazyPrepared when someone uses Edo Tensei on him he is revived in his younger form before the Valley of the End instead of his pruny old form.]]
* ColonyDrop: [[spoiler:When the Sage of the Six Paths has him cornered he decides to use his GravityMaster powers to ''dislodge the freaking moon from orbit'' in an attempt to stall the Sage.]]
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler:Izanami killed him by poisoning his meals, then got a giant preying mantis to eat his heart while he was still alive, then cut his corpse into tiny pieces. The domestic abuser totally deserved it.]]
* CurseCutShort: [[spoiler:By a meteorite.]]
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: [[spoiler:Him coming BackFromTheDead could remind a person of an abusive significant other coming back to ruin their exes life. Thankfully, Izanami shut him down.]]
* DomesticAbuser: spoiler: He is physically and emotionally abusive toward [[spoiler: Izanami]] while she keeps him alive. Her resembling his dead wife also opens a whole new can of worms about their relationship.
* {{Eyescream}}: [[spoiler:Izanami burnt his eyes out. They sadly grew back thanks to Edo Tensei.]]
* DomesticAbuse: [[spoiler:His relationship with Izanami could remind one of a abusive husband, boyfriend, or father, given what he did to her.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: [[spoiler:During his conversation with Susanoo he came off as a rational man, then we see what he did to [[TheWoobie Izanami]]...]]
* GravityMaster: [[spoiler:By the virtue of becoming the Deva Path.]]
* GuardianEntity: His Susanoo, which takes its canon form.
* {{Hellfire}}: Amaterasu. [[spoiler:Which the Sage [[NoSell No Sells]] effortlessly.]]
* ImmortalitySeeker: In his backstory, he was seeking immortality. [[spoiler:Izanami was the closest thing he had to success.]]
* {{Irony}}:
** [[spoiler:The man who thinks he's the ultimate badass lost because he underestimated his skills as a BadassTeacher.]]
** [[spoiler:He named himself "The Creator" but could not comprehend what he had created in the end.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: [[spoiler:''Susanoo'' secretly dislikes him for his attitude and sexism. But his jerkassery really comes to light when you saw how he treated Izanami, it could remind one of a {{Domestic Abuse}}r.]]
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler:His entire relationship with Izanami ''is'' this trope. [[ColdBloodedTorture Every]] [[DomesticAbuse single]] [[ShamefulStrip thing]] [[FlayingAlive he]] [[ToThePain ever]] [[PrecisionFStrike fucking]] [[MoralEventHorizon did to her.]]]]
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: [[spoiler:Unlike the other Madara, he has no idea of the cosmic powers that are in play.]]
* MagicalEye: The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
* MeaningfulRename: [[spoiler:While at first glance, this Madara renaming himself Izanagi is just him being an egocentric dick (although in hindsight it probably contributed to the rename) Digging a little deeper in Shinto mythology you will learn that Izanagi was the one who sealed his wife, Izanami, away after she died and went insane. And this Izanagi plans to seal away his former BastardUnderstudy Izanami who has a rather similar backstory to the real Izanami.]]
* MindRape: Tsukiyomi.
* {{Necromancer}}: [[spoiler:He's the one who taught Izanami Edo Tensei.]]
* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: [[spoiler:Justified. He never made a countermeasure against Izanami's immortality because he wanted it for himself and didn't want it to have any weaknesses.]]
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: [[spoiler:Brought back by Susanoo with Edo Tensei as his Deva Path.]]
* PersonOfMassDestruction: [[spoiler:He almost destroyed the Earth by trying to drop the moon on it in a moment of pettiness.]]
* PetTheDog: Yes, really, once long, long ago, he spared Hanzo's life as a child in a moment of kindness...[[AmbiguousSituation or possibly arrogance.]]
* PlayingWithFire: [[spoiler:His fireball jutsu of course.]]
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: [[spoiler:He was extremely misogynistic. It bit him in the ass.]]
* PosthumousCharacter: He was [[DragonAscendant Izanami's]] EvilMentor who has recently died of old age. [[spoiler:Izanami's lying through her teeth on the "old age" part.]]
* {{Revenge}}: [[spoiler:First order of business after being brought BackFromTheDead? Find Izanami and subject her to a FateWorseThanDeath.]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: [[spoiler:He didn't last long, but his creation/student, Izanami, has an extremely important role.]]
* SoftSpokenSadist: [[spoiler:Out of all of the Madara he comes off as the most normal, which is rather disturbing considering that his favorite hobby was treating Izanami like shit.]]
* StrawMisogynist: [[spoiler:Rather obvious given that he lost to two women.]]
* TooDumbToLive: [[spoiler:For some reason he thought that treating the woman that was ''in charge of keeping him alive'' like shit was a good idea.]]
* TheUnchosenOne: [[spoiler:He created his own Moon's Eye Plan, but this Izanagi isn't Indra's reincarnation, so he can't develop a Rinnegan. This caused him to rely on the Ame-Sage's anti-Mikaboshi plans through Nagato who did develop a Rinnegan naturally in this world. To add insult to injury his apprentice, Izanami, is Indra's new incarnation and neither knows.]]
* UnderestimatingBadassery: [[spoiler:He underestimated Konan, he underestimated Izanami, and he underestimated his own teaching skills due to him not being able to comprehend that his apprentice could surpass him in any way.]]
* TheWorfEffect: [[spoiler:The Sage of Six Paths didn't even have to try to kick his and Hashirama's asses ''at the same time''.]]
* YouMonster: [[spoiler:''Hashirama'' says this to him after he dislodges the moon from orbit in an attempt to stop the Sage of Six Paths, fully aware that he might destroy the planet doing so.]]

[[folder:Team Kage (Hashirama Senju, the Sandaime Kazekage, Mu, the Sandaime Raikage, and the Nidaime Mizukage Revived by Edo Tensei)]]
!!Team Kage (Hashirama Senju, the Sandaime Kazekage, Mu, the Sandaime Raikage, and the Nidaime Mizukage Revived by Edo Tensei)
* AndZoidberg: The Kazekage is treated as such due to some serious dick moves.
* AntiVillain: All of them except for the Kazekage are Type IV's. The Kazekage's more of a Type II or III.
* BadassCrew: Although they don't want to be one.
* BeAsUnhelpfulAsPossible: All of them have sworn to be as useless as possible to Susanoo.
* BreakTheCutie: Hashirama hasn't had it easy after his revival. Starting with him being forced to realize how far Madara has gone, followed by Kazama giving him a brutal TheReasonYouSuckSpeech telling him how the Will of Fire ruined his life and that the Hidden Village System he created for peace just made warfare more brutal and better organized, now all he needs to learn is that his society was built on MindRape and he'll be completely broken.
* CameBackStrong: Immortal zombies with infinite chakra plus Sharingan and Rinnegan enhancements? These guys are complete nightmares!
* DreamTeam: They are the strongest fighting force of all time even though they don't want to be.
* ExplainingYourPowersToTheEnemy: Justified, since they're trying to lose.
* FourStarBadass: All of them are former leaders of their respective villages and the most powerful members of their time.
* FromASingleCell: What would you expect from magic zombies?
* HealingFactor
* HeroKiller: ''All of them'' are introduced as this, and the Raikage and Kazekage fully graduate with them killing [[spoiler:Kakashi]] [[spoiler:Sasori, and Omoikane]] respectively.
* {{Irony}}: The Sandaime Kazekage who hated human puppetry was revived as the puppet-like Asura Path.
* TheJuggernaut: All of them. But a special mention has to go to the Raikage.
* MagicalEye: All of them have a Sharingan and a Rinnegan giving them an unwanted power boost.
* TheMentor: [[spoiler:After being freed from Susanoo's control all of them but the [[AndZoidberg Kazekage]] plan to teach the Arashi clan a few tricks before moving on.]]
* OneManArmy: Each of them by themselves are this trope. All five of them together is [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill just plain overkill.]]
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: They are all Edo Tensei zombies.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Once they got to work, maps needed to be redrawn.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: All of them except the Kazekage are extremely reasonable and helpful. Though the Raikage takes the cake throwing away his considerable pride while trying to lose.
* RevengeBeforeReason: The Kazekage has let his grudge against Sasori completely consume him.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: Them being assembled is basically the personification of Susanoo's adherence to this trope.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: The [[AFatherToHisMen Raikage]] invokes this on himself because he has to fight Yugito.
* TookALevelInBadass: Susanoo gave them all a Sharingan and Rinnegan plus a Path power that covers their weaknesses. They all hate this.
* TheWorfEffect: Hashirama and Izanagi were completely (but justifiably) worfed and ripped apart by [[spoiler:the Sage of Six Paths.]]
