[[caption-width-right:250:Emblem of the Nōto]]

Known as ''Ideon'' to the Nōto themselves, it is a hidden metaverse that overlays onto Earth, which hosts the Nōto and the Anōnis, while also being linked to and affected by the Hitotsu-Ki.

!Nōto[[note]]脳人[[/note]]
The antagonistic group that opposes the Donbrothers. They seek to eliminate greed-consumed humans to purge the power of desires that disrupts the Nōto Layer.

[[folder:General Tropes]]
* BrutishBulls: Their emblem heavily resembles a bull's head. They're also the show's primary villains.
* CivilWar: Revealed to have caused one. [[spoiler:The Nōto violently deposed the royal family of Ideon in response to the latter's attempts to co-exist with humans, nearly wiping them out in the process]].
* ColorCodedCharacters: Each of the Nouto generals has a specific colors associated with them: Sonoi - blue, Sononi - white, Sonoza - brownish orange, and later on Sonoshi - red, Sonogo - purple, and Sonoroku - silver.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: While the [[Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger Tozitend Dynasty]] members were unapologetically cruel in their quest to subjugate all of the parallel worlds, the Nōto are moreso dangerous vigilantes than [[CardCarryingVillain Card-Carrying Villains]]; only cutting the Hitotsu-Ki down to stabilize their own world. They still have their own moments of cruelty however, like what happened to the [[spoiler:Don Clan]]. The Overseers, however, are far more like the Tozitend Dynasty.
* CreateYourOwnHero: [[spoiler:The Nōto massacred the royal family of Ideon in a past war. Said family sent their heirs to Earth, who would grow up into Don Momotaro and Don Doragoku/Don Torabolt, their biggest opponents in the modern day]].
* CreativeSterility: They view things like art and emotions to be beneath them as coping mechanisms for humans to cover for their imperfections, since the Nōto believe themselves to be perfect.
** #13 shows that they are incapable of anything that is imperfect, like art as even when Sonoi prepares a paper, a pencil and a view to draw, he finds himself physically unable to create anything.
** When Taro visits Ideon as a guest at Sonoi's funeral, he points out that Nōto food is bland and tasteless, even if it's designed to be nutritious.
** Is eventually PlayedForDrama during the show's final quarter: the primary Trio's exposure to humanity and fraternization with the Donbrothers shapes them into more emotionally-adjusted people. [[spoiler: Ideon's council sees this as treason and abandons them in favor of Sonoshi's group]].
* DavidVersusGoliath: The Nōto are practically flies in the face of the savage Jūto monsters, who they can't even land a hit on.
* DisproportionateRetribution: [[spoiler: In response to the Don Clan's intent to co-exist with humanity, the Nōto ''massacred them to the man''; with the Council even prioritizing the murder of any surviving members. {{Subverted}} in #27, where it's revealed that the same clan ''created'' the Juto.]]
* EvilCounterpart: The main Noto trio start off as this to the Donbrothers, being vigilantes motivated by FantasticRacism to exterminate Hitotsu-Ki instead of liberate them like the heroes. They eventually develop redeeming traits and become friends [[FriendlyEnemy with the heroes on their down-time]], leading to the Noto Council bringing in Sonoshi and their associates as crueler substitutes.
* EvilVersusEvil: Compared to villainous groups of Sentai past, the Nōto are in fact opposed to the MonsterOfTheWeek like the Donbrothers are, yet also have the ability to create them. They're also fighting the much-stronger, much-viler Juto monsters.
* FantasticRacism: They are a group of SuperiorSpecies who believe they are above humanity, a certain number of which they believe are too tainted by desire and greed and should be disposed of, moreso by their own hands as they disapprove of the Donbrothers allowing the human that became it to survive.
* HeadbuttingHeroes: [[SubvertedTrope At the skin-deep level]], this is the Nōto's relationship with the Donbrothers. Both groups protect people and both oppose the MonsterOfTheWeek (and [[spoiler:the Juto]]). What puts the two at odds is [[TheUnfettered how far the Noto are willing to go compared to the Donbrothers]], stemming from their [[FantasticRacism inability to see humans as anything more than "imperfect"]]. Best exemplified in #25, where both Sonoi and Taro each declare the Hitotsu-Ki game for their respective factions.
--> '''Sonoi''': The Hitotsu-Ki are supposed to be defeated by the Noto!
--> '''Taro''': No! The Donbrothers are supposed to defeat the Hitotsu-Ki!
* JustToyingWithThem: While Don Momotaro enjoys VillainRespect from Sonoi for his battle prowess, The Nōto treat the rest of the Donbrothers [[UnknownRival as a gang of petty distractions]] at best. Following the revelation that [[spoiler: they're led by a member of the Don Clan]] though, they're considerably more prone to instigating conflict with them directly. This trails off over time, as [[VillainTakesAnInterest the generals single out Donbrothers that intrigue them]] and [[GoingNative start becoming kinder through their influence]].
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: All three generals have [[TechnicolorEyes uniquely colored eyes]] that relate to their armored forms. Sonoi has OccultBlueEyes, Sononi and Sonoroku have IcyGreyEyes, Sonoza has SupernaturalGoldEyes, Sonoshi has RedEyesTakeWarning, and Sonogo has purple eyes.
* MeaningfulName:
** In kanji, it translates to "Brain People".[[note]]Over-Time [[{{Woolseyism}} translates]] this as "Cerebrans"[[/note]] Their home dimension is literally made from human thoughts.
** [[https://www.toei.co.jp/tv/donbrothers/story/1228364_3246.html The Behind The Scenes]] AllThereInTheManual states that before it was [[MeaningfulRename properly named]] ''Ideon'', "Nōto Layer" is a reference to how "layers" in ''Photoshop'' are overlaid onto an image, which can be toggled into or out of view, much like how this [[TheMetaverse metaverse]] works with the real world.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Of the KnightTemplar variety. The Noto's [[spoiler: destruction of the Don Clan ensured that the Juto had almost nothing that could stop them from infiltrating humanity]].
* NominalHero: The Nōto only save humans to stabilize their realm. They [[FantasticRacism look down on humans at the best of times]] and have no qualms about murdering their opponents. It's much more blatant after [[spoiler: Sonoshi's group replaces Sonoi's]], being a trio of thugs with none of their predecessors' redeeming qualities.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Previous Sentai villain groups are usually made with the majority of their commanders in monster forms with only a few commanders even having a sentai-like/[[ThePsychoRangers Psycho Ranger]] form. This is the first Sentai where ''all'' the commanders are human-looking and transform into sentai-like forms.
* NotSoAboveItAll: The Nōto look down on people for their "imperfect" art and emotions, but spend much of their time mimicking these behaviors themselves. As the series goes on, they also start to get into more wacky situations and are influenced into positive change through the friends they make on the enemy team.
* NumericalThemeNaming: Their generals revealed so far are named after the Japanese terms for "Part One/''Sono Ichi''", "Part Two/''Sono Ni''" and "Part Three/''Sono San''". #37 introduces a new one, Sonoshi, which is "Part Four/''Sono Shi''", with #45 further introducing Sonogo ("Part Five/''Sono Go''") and Sonoroku ("Part Six/''Sono Roku''"). #49 brings in the [[BigBad final villains]] Sonona ("Part Seven/''Sono Nana''") and Sonoya ("Part Eight/''Sono Ya''").
* PunnyName: Certain media tend to spell their name in katakana as ''Nōto/ノート'', which instead translates to "Note(book)" in English. This may be the official English spelling for their group.
* RulingFamilyMassacre: [[spoiler: The Noto slaughtered the entirety of the ruling Don Clan in a CivilWar and took Ideon for themselves. Taro and Jiro survived the massacre and were spirited to the human realm, where Jin and Terasaki found and raised them]].
* ShoutOut: Their designs are based off past ''Franchise/ToeiTokusatsu'' productions.
* ThouShaltNotKill: Zig-zagged. What separates the Nōto from the Donbrothers is their willingness to murder their Hitotsu-Ki opponents, most of whom are [[FaceMonsterTurn humans forced against their will into hostile monsters]]. However, #15 reveals [[spoiler: they don't kill all of their opponents; most of them are housed in an ExtranormalPrison as opposed to dead. This also means they can simply turn into Hitotsu-Ki ''again'']], meaning their methods are still unnecessarily cruel compared to the Donbrothers'. [[spoiler:Though, #46 reveals that, via the Ring of Forgiveness, the ones they managed to kill, along with the people they've imprisoned, are brought back]].
* TransformationTrinket: The generals have one in the form of the ''Nōto Brace'' each of them wears, activated by waving their hand over it. The emblem on it then becomes their chest armor.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: What they're doing to humans is horrible, but the reason they're doing it is because human desire is destabilizing their home dimension.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: {{Invoked|Trope}}. They have the ability to purposely evoke a human's evolution into a Hitotsu-Ki in order to justify having to execute them.

The ruling body of Ideon.
----
* MalevolentMaskedMen: The leaders of the show's primary enemy faction have masquerade masks over their faces, along with black [[InTheHood hooded cloaks]].
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: The Council's half-hearted attempts to curb its generals GoingNative eventually [[spoiler: sparks a HazyFeelTurn out of the primary trio, who [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal free the captive Hitotsu-Ki hosts in an attempt to curry favor with the Donbrothers.]]]].
* NotSoAboveItAll: After calling the Council out for [[spoiler: sticking their funeral invitation inside of his sandwich]], Taro orders them to [[LostFoodGrievance eat the lunch since he couldn't]]. They actually do.
* TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness: Not much is known about them as of yet, other than the fact that they give Sonoi, Sononi and Sonoza (and later Sonoshi and their thugs) their marching orders and are behind the extermination of the previous rulers of their world, the Don Clan. They finally appear for the first time in episode 29, during [[spoiler:Sonoi's funeral]].
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Subverted. The Council does [[spoiler: extract Taro's energy for Sonoi's revival]] and is the authority overseeing both of the Noto Trios, but they mostly sit around while their proxies talk and act on their behalf.
* TheUnfought: Despite being the {{Greater Scope Villain}}s of the series, only Taro gets to meet them directly, and they never appear again for the rest of the series after #29.
* YouHaveFailedMe: They dispatch [[FinalBoss Sonona and Sonoya]] to execute the Trio and Overseers, for the latter two's repeated failures to kill Don Momotaro.

[[caption-width-right:250:]]

A couple of assassins in the employ of the Nōto Council.
----
* BadassNormal: They are able to go toe-to-toe with Armored!Sonogo and Sonoroku in their human forms.
* BigBadDuumvirate: They serve as the series' final main antagonists.
* CoDragons: They are executioners that directly answer to the Council, superseding even the Overseers in rank.
* CurbStompBattle: On both the giving and receiving end. The Overseers are absolutely powerless against the Executioners and are brutally wiped out one-by-one before they can even so much as react. The combined force of heroes later on are barely even enough to dent them - If it wasn't for [[spoiler: Taro regaining his memories]] at the last second and jumping in, it would not have been a contest. Once he does show up though, the tables landslide in entirely the opposite direction; a high-powered FinishingMove being enough to decimate the two wholesale.
* TheDreaded: Even more so than the Overseers, who actually react in full-blown ''terror'' at the sight of them.
* DualWielding: Sonoya wields the Sanzenkon and the Ninjarksword during his fight in #50, after stealing Sonoroku's powers.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Sonona has the appropriately low voice, with Kohei Murakami using a raspy, guttural voice for Sonoya.
* InASingleBound: Can leap great distances and heights.
* KnightOfCerebus: Subverted. The duo's only defining moment is [[spoiler: [[YouHaveFailedMe killing off each of their Overseers in as brutal a fashion as a kid's show lets them get away with]]]]; emphasis being placed on what [[TheDreaded Dreaded]] [[NoNonsenseNemesis No Nonsense Nemeses]] the duo are. [[ThePowerOfFriendship The united coalition of Donbrothers]] are ''not enough'' to take them down, even with [[spoiler: Murasame defecting and joining the Donbrothers to help out]]. Taro is the only force able to stop them and that's after [[spoiler: barely holding off his memory loss]] to do so. But once he is in full form, [[CurbStompBattle the power-gap is so laughably wide]] that '''his assigned role call hurts them'''.
* PaintingTheMedium: Exploited and Parodied. Taro is so far above these two in power that his presence gives the team's season logo a BattleAura that swats the two enemy generals aside with ease.
* ManiacTongue: They activate their Noto Braces by ''licking them''.
* PowerParasite: They steal Sonogo and Sonoroku's powers.
* SlasherSmile: Murakami's signature [[Series/KamenRider555 returns]] in its frightening glory.
* VerbalTic:
** Sonona has a habit of finishing her sentences with some variation of "not that I care", showing her deceptively nonchalant attitude.
** Sonoya has a habit of repeating words.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: They are killed by Don Momotaro a mere episode after their introduction.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Sonoya has hair as white as the driven snow, and callously torments Sonogo by stealing her powers and killing her afterwards.
* YouHaveFailedMe: Sonona and Sonoya are the living embodiments of the Council deciding this about the Overseers. Before they even fight the heroes, they dispatch their minions first.
[[/folder]]

!!The Overseers
[[folder:In General]]
* AssholeVictim: They all get unceremoniously executed by Sonona and Sonoya under orders of the Noto Council, and considering the torment they have inflicted upon Sonoi and his party and the needless cruelty to humans, it's safe to say they got a taste of their own medicine.
* BlowGun: All three of them sport one that can cause a person's desire to go berserk, attracting a potential Hitotsu-Ki power that turns said berserk human into a Hitotsu-Ki. Further darts will then cause the Hitotsu-Ki to prolong their berserk state.
* CreateYourOwnHero: Downplayed. Sonoi's trio were [[HazyFeelTurn already toying with the idea of defecting to the Donbrothers]], which is what the conference they attended was for. However, [[spoiler: Sonoshi's group forcibly influencing the votes to bunch their enemies together]] becomes one of the catalysts (the other being [[spoiler: Taro's BatmanGambit]]) to unite the factions into an army the Overseers cannot compete with.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Sonoi comes to collectively calling the group ''Sonoshigoroku'', an amalgamation of all their names. This ends up being heavily used by the Donbrothers, to the Overseers' dismay.
* EvilCounterpart: All of them are this to the original Nōto trio:
** Sonoshi is one to Sonoi if his appreciation for human art and beauty was ''not'' filtered out by his inherit, yet ironic, humanitarian nature to do good.
** Sonogo is one to Sononi with both of them being the sole female of her trio and quite the DudeMagnet, but while Sononi is curious about love and the romantic dynamics between, Sonogo focuses more on physical beauty. She also wields a melee weapon rather than a ranged one.
** Sonoroku is one to Sonoza, both serving as {{The Brute}}s in their respective trios. Sonoroku's emotions function normally (his {{jerkass}}ery notwithstanding), he is an exercise nut/more physically-oriented, and has a brawny frame, while Sonoza has a lankier build, is more interested in manga, and is initially emotionally-disjointed. Sonoroku also wields a mace in contrast to Sonoza's spear.
* EvilIsHammy: Compared to the fairly stoic-turned-[[TheComicallySerious comically serious]] Trio, the Overseers are more than willing to ham it up despite being soft-spoken.
* ForTheEvulz: Sonoshi's group are perfectly-willing to attack humans unlike their predecessors, reveling in the chaos stemming from it as they do. Sonoroku especially stands out for throwing ''an infant'' into the Phantom Zone.
* {{Irony}}: The primary Noto trio's character arc centers on them slowly developing "imperfect" emotional centers and dreams of their own via their enemies' influence. Sonoshi's group by contrast is more emotional and expressive from the start, but [[EvilCounterpart also nowhere near as moral]].
* LaughablyEvil: They act so over the top when performing evil acts, it is more funny than threatening.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Sonoshi and their cohorts [[spoiler: convince the Donbrothers to add the former trio to their ranks so they can murder everyone at once]]. All they did was form a proper coalition easily able to stand up to them.
* ShadowArchetype: These three are essentially the previous Noto trio without restraint, ambition or morality; each of their traits amped up to hostile extremes.
* SuckSessor: Villainous example. Compared to the Noto trio, Sonoshi's group is nowhere near as capable. They [[TeethClenchedTeamwork aren't particularly united]] and are more prone to gripping the VillainBall; resorting to trickery and engaging in hammy antics that lead to frequent losses. When [[spoiler: the Executioners]] reveal themselves, their very first act is to deem the Overseers failures.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Downplayed. While the trio are able to work in-tandem perfectly fine, they are not bound by honor and respect like their predecessors are. Sonogo and Sonoshi secretly loathe one another and Sonoroku is apathetic to their shenanigans.
* {{Troll}}: The trio demonstrate an innate glee in toying with others. The trio take hyper-manic glee in tormenting their predecessors (Sonoshi outright states they want to prolong their suffering) and have all needlessly attacked humans at some point, be it for ThePlan or ForTheEvulz.
* VillainDecay: A self-inflicted one. Their arrival in the final episodes only manages to strengthen the Donbrothers by driving the original trio to join them, and the Overseers find they can't handle nine opponents at once, especially when three of them are Taro, Jiro, and Sonoi, and the actions they take afterwards backfire horribly. Sonona and Sonoya note the Overseers have been colossal failures after seeing the Ohsama-Ki debacle [[spoiler:and [[YouHaveFailedMe act accordingly]]]].

->Skin: Akahade Mask
\
The Chief Inspector of the Nōto, assigned by the Council to supervise their fellow generals.
----
* AgentPeacock: They're very flamboyant even by Nōto standards, but nevertheless can fight all five Donbrothers to a standstill by themselves.
* TheCaligula: They behave like a tyrannical despot towards their kin and have no qualms abusing their power against those they deem disobeying the Council's orders.
* ChewingTheScenery: They, along with Sonogo and Sonoroku jubilantly celebrate at Sonoi and his companions being excommunicated from the Noto in a more over the top way possible.
* DeviousDaggers: Their primary weapon is a stiletto blade called the "Red Shadow", which can be extended into a whip.
* TheDreaded: Being an elite officer within the Noto's higher-ups, Sonoi has a very good reason to fear Sonoshi whenever they appear before the main Noto trio, in that they are rather oppressive to anyone who they deemed guilty of insubordination towards the Council didn't help matters either.
* EnemySummoner: They can summon Anoni by playing their ocarina.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: They make their presence known to the Donbrothers and Nōto by rudely shoving them aside, setting up a plastic screen and spraying disinfectant on the table, and disrespecting the ''oden'' shop's fare to the owner's face.
* EvilIsPetty: Sonoshi has no problem inflicting unnecessarily cruel acts of violence for no reason whatsoever other than spite against Sonoi and his companions. Even their fellow Overseers will just play along with them.
* EvilerThanThou: Sonoshi stands out as one of, if not entirely, the cruelest and the most heartless enforcers within the Noto's higher ranks and using that position of power to put anyone who defies them their place. It's no wonder why the main trio had to reach out to the heroes to stop them.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Sonoshi puts on the airs of being a cultured, honor-bound warrior not unlike Sonoi that defends Noto honor. They quickly reveal themselves to be little more than a thug in fashionable clothing that's perfectly willing to attack humans and bully their own allies to enforce their own standards.
* HateSink: They are currently the most deplorable Nōto as of yet: condescending, arrogant, tyrannical and deceptively violent; bullying the main trio with their status as a bludgeon and even using the Anoni as makeshift thugs to swat humans aside. They're such a deplorable person that [[spoiler: the Noto and Donbrothers [[EnemyMine actively set their feud aside to take them down a peg]]]].
* InTheHood: They're first spotted spying on the other Nōto in a golden mask and hooded cloak.
* {{Jerkass}}: Their debut shows themselves to be an arrogant, oppressive wretch, abusing their superior position and bullying the three generals with the excuse of discipline, along with having a condescending manner and sadistic glee to both sides.
* LargeHam: They come off as rather animated and prone to make over-the-top gestures when excited.
* NeatFreak: Aside from the aforementioned EstablishingCharacterMoment, they intrude on ''Donbura'', spraying disinfectant everywhere. Even their idea of punishment for the rest of the Nōto is hygienic: infinite floor scrubbing duty.
* NonHumanNonBinary: According to production notes, they are this.
* ThePoliticalOfficer: Per their status as a "superior," they're this to the main Noto trio - sent specifically to investigate (and put a stop to) their friendliness toward the Donbrothers.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: They have red eyes, and appropriately are the most unlikeable Nōto seen in the show.
* RedIsViolent: They takes on a red bird-like form and are also the most violent general so far, even sic'ing Anoni on people to "cleanse" an area they don't like.
* ShadowArchetype: They're essentially Sonoi without conscience, honor or friends; using their authority to oppress those weaker than them.
* ShoutOut: Their armored form is designed after ''Manga/KamenNoNinjaAkakage''.
* SolidGoldPoop: Their earwax is apparently made of gold.
* TokenEvilTeammate: While the main Noto trio are vigilante-minded enforcers driven by FantasticRacism and a willingness to KickTheDog, Sonoshi doesn't even try maintain that crusader illusion: being a domineering tyrant with a massive ego that's willing to hurt innocent humans and bully their allies to get their way. The other generals [[spoiler: actively defy them and work with the Donbrothers just for a chance to get some payback]].
* {{Troll}}: When they're not being an abusive elite officer towards Sonoi and his party, they outright troll them to the point of making their lives into a living hell, even so after Sonoi and his cohorts are excommunicated. Their other subordinates, Sonogo and Sonoroku also revel at their misery adding further salt to the wound.
* UndignifiedDeath: [[spoiler: In comparison to Sonogo and Sonoroku who at least to tried fight back their execution, Sonoshi ran for the hills as soon as Sonona and Sonoya came for him, and was unceremoniously slaughtered without putting up a fight.]]

\
A mature woman determined to be the most beautiful in the world, bar none.
----
* TheBaroness: She's rather rough around the edges underneath her attractive appearance.
* {{Depower}}: She gets her armored form stolen by Sonona before being killed by the latter.
%%* DoesNotLikeMen:
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: She's established as an EvilCounterpart to Sononi when she attracts the gaze of a suitor that had been trying to woo Sononi, then ''shoves the poor guy's face into her plate of spaghetti''.
* FairestOfThemAll: She appears to be quite vain, as seen from her spending time in front of her mirror, as well as stopping random couples on the street and demanding to know who the most beautiful woman in the world is.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Defied; her clothing features various shades of purple, her armored form is purple, and she wields a rapier -- a weapon with a reputation for elegance -- but she is ''far'' from dainty and graceful, as the unlucky suitor found out the hard way.
* RoyalRapier: Her primary weapon is a rapier named the ''Kid Rapier''.
* ShoutOut:
** Her armored form is designed after ''Series/NationalKid''.
** Her MortonsFork interrogation regarding her beauty in #47 appears to be one to the Japanese {{urban legend|s}} of Kuchisake-onna.
* SuperBreath: Her breath is powerful enough to send full-grown adults flying into the sky.

->Skin: Choukou Crystal
\
A boisterous man with a rather warped notion of kindness and charity.
----
* BadSamaritan: He loves to "help" people. And by "help", he means throwing their stuff into the Phantom Zone, including a carriage ''with the baby still inside''.
* TheBrute: Like Sonoza to Sonoi, Sonoroku serves as this to Sonoshi, though he fits the archetype more so than Sonoza, physically and weapons-wise.
* CarryABigStick: Wields a giant six-pointed mace named the ''Sanzenkon'' in combat.
* {{Depower}}: He gets his armored form stolen by Sonoya before being killed by the latter.
* DumbMuscle: Compared to Sonoza, who is interested in emotions, Sonoroku relies on his twisted pride of strength and brute force.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He's built up as Sonoza's rival by rudely interrupting the latter's manga reading, earning Sonoza's ire as a result.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Implied in #47 when Sonoshi and Sonogo caused some ruckus to draw the Donbrothers, Sonoi & his co, but Sonoroku himself comically stated he wouldn't go that far. Ultimately averted in the immediate next episode.
* FourthWallObserver: #47 has him look into the camera while cracking a joke.
* {{Jerkass}}: Deliberately interrupts Sonoza by knocking away his manga and calling it "trash".
* PeltsOfTheBarbarian: He is clad in a vest made entirely out of gray fur, and -- like the archetypical Barbarian -- has a [[BrutishCharacterBrutishWeapon brutish personality and fights with a giant club]].

!!The Trio
[[folder:In General]]
* EleventhHourRanger: [[spoiler:They join the Donbrothers in #48 against the Overseers.]]
* AllThereInTheManual: [[spoiler: The final live tour reveals that their names are actually their second names, and they were named after rulers, their full names are: Claudius Sonoi, Diana Elizabeth Sononi, and Alexander Sonoza.]]
* AntiHero: They aren't above saving humans because their realm actually needs human minds to exist, but once a human becomes too [[AmbitionIsEvil consumed by greed]] they will not hesitate to eliminate them in order to maintain their "peace".
* CharacterDevelopment: The trio start off as elite apathetic enforcers hostile to both humanity and its protectors. As the factions fight however, the Noto develop a curiosity towards humanity that the Donbrothers satisfy. The two teams co-mingle and progressivly begin to acknowledge one another, allowing the Trio to develop their own independent personalities and ambitions to the chagrin of their masters. [[spoiler:This leads to the Trio being branded as traitors and them joining the Donbrothers as a result.]]
* TheComicallySerious: While the Nōto Trio were initially completely serious until episode 17, they later start to become closer to one of the Donbrothers (Sonoi to Tarou, Sononi to Tsubasa, and Sonoza to Haruka) and thus get into a lot more hilarious situations with their [[FriendlyEnemy supposed enemies]], but they still keep a straight face most of the time.
* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Most elites in evil ''Super Sentai'' organizations are WretchedHive[=s=] full of seedy backstabbers and toadies with often a singular, honorable exception that (usually) ends up [[TheLeader the lead Ranger]]'s rival. The Noto trio however operate under very few of these stereotypes: They're Anti-Villains with varying degrees of honor that also fight the MOTW and protect the populace like the heroes do. The trio all respect each other and never actively betray one another, showing the same kind of teamwork expected out of a Sentai team. The Trio's willingness to communicate and socialize makes them a FriendlyEnemy to the team that often get wrapped in their comedic hijinks and share introspective moments with them. Each of the trio becomes TheRival to a ranger (as opposed to a single Rival) and those rivalries spark CharacterDevelopment. The Trio's primary character-arc during the show's last quarter is centered around whether they should play up to the stereotype of TheDragon or [[spoiler: acknowledge their own imperfections and make amends with their enemies. They choose the latter and eventually defect]].
* FriendlyEnemy: The Nōto initially start off hostile to the Donbrothers due to their clashing methods of neutralizing the Hitotsu-Ki. As the show goes on however, the Nōto's bad blood towards the team vaguely thaws as they pick up on traits and motivations that earn their notice, getting involved in the Donbrothers' hijinks as time passes. [[TheRival Taro and Sonoi grow a pseudo-friendship thanks to their rivalry]] while [[VillainTakesAnInterest Sononi, Sonoza and Don Murasame find themselves enraptured by Tsubasa, Haruka and Jiro's motivations respectively]]. The factions [[GoKartingWithBowser fraternize almost as much as they fight]]. However [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome this is shown to have consequences]], as [[spoiler: new commander Sonoshi is assigned to watch over (and potentially discipline) the primary trio in #37 for their uptick in kindness]]. The "enemy" part eventually sloughs away in favor of a HazyFeelTurn, which [[spoiler: gets them marked as enemies by the Council and replaced by Sonoshigoroku]].
* HeelFaceTurn: Halfway into the show, the Trio begin warming up to humanity and [[VillainTakesAnInterest their supposed enemies]]; [[HumanityIsInfectious whose influence]] allows the three to grow out of their "perfection" and [[CharacterDevelopment into better people]]. The last straw comes when [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal their Council callously boots them out of Ideon and replaces them with Sonoshi and their darker substitutes]], giving the Trio the excuse they need to [[spoiler: properly defect to the people they've already grown fond of]].
* HumanityIsInfectious: Over the course of their quest to learn about humanity, they come to embody the traits in people that they used to look down on. [[spoiler:This culminates in Sonoi finally being able to create a work of art, Sononi understanding what love is after observing Tsubasa trying to rescue Natsumi, and Sonoza understanding human emotions through reading Haruka's manga.]]
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: The Trio’s arc throughout the show involves them slowly starting to ask this question. They start off as goons to their Council uninterested in humanity. Then they start fighting the Donbrothers in earnest and by learning about what drives their enemies, [[HumanityIsInfectious discover they have things that drive them too]]. Episodes 44 and 45 sees the Trio come to a collective HeelRealization that they’re GoingNative and, after some wrestling with the idea of Noto pride, choose to be Good - [[spoiler: defecting to the Donbrothers instead of letting themselves be executed]].
* VillainTakesAnInterest: Each of the generals develop a fascination with a member of the enemy team and uses the excuse of "research" to justify talking to them: Sonoi and Taro become friendly rivals, Sononi believes Tsubasa can teach her about love and Sonoza uses Haruka's manga as a tool in his quest for emotions.

* AffablyEvil: Sonoi is more polite and affable towards his foes and is even willing to risk his life and help bystanders. [[spoiler: Eventually the Evil part goes away]].
* AffectionateNickname: The owner of the oden cart both factions frequent takes to calling him "Noi-chan."
* BadassBiker: Strolls into fights on a motorcycle.
* BlueIsHeroic: Haruka initially thinks of him as a hero after 'saving' her from Benitsu-ki in his primarily-blue armored form, and in turn, makes her wrongly think she's the 'Taro Momoi' she's supposed to be looking for. He then proceeds to subvert this right in front of her as he brushes her off and kills Shisotsu-Ki (AKA Yoshioka, her ''own classmate'', in cold blood). That being said, he's still more-or-less the TokenGoodTeammate of the Nōto trio, and has done some genuinely heroic actions like save Haruka from what would otherwise be a fatal blow in order to make up for [[spoiler: murdering Taro by exploiting his weakness]]. [[spoiler: However, he then starts to eventually take this role by the end]].
* BorrowedCatchphrase: [[spoiler:After his revival via absorbing Taro's essence, he begins using the latter's {{catchphrases}} such as "Interesting!"]]
* CameBackStrong: [[spoiler:After being revived he's now on par with Taro at the minimum, able to fight him to a standstill and getting the upper hand in their rematch duel.]]
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler:Being revived with Taro's energy caused him to obtain Taro's characteristics, including his constant attacking of allies like Taro used to do at the beginning of the show.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: Twice. First when he genuinely starts to care about Taro, and then a second time in #44 when he is finally able to create a painting he was satisfied with.
* CoolSword: In his armored form, he wields the ''Baron Sword'', a powerful broadsword capable of slashing through Hitotsu-Ki like butter.
* TheDogBitesBack: During the ''Zenkaiger'' crossover film, Jiro's [[ControlFreak domineering leadership of the Donbrothers]] reaches a boiling point and [[spoiler:Sonoi rebels, losing and being kicked off the team]] for daring to question. Later in the film, he [[spoiler: re-appears and intercepts Jiro's attempt to attack Taro during the final battle, hospitalizing him off-screen]].
* TheDragon: The main enforcer of the Nōto Council and the ArchEnemy of the red ranger, per Sentai tradition.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: His second appearance in the first episode. He rides into battle on his bike, and as Oni Sister approaches him to ask if he's Taro Momoi, he kicks her aside right before fighting and finishing off Shishotsu-Ki.
* ExpositoryPronoun: Sonoi's default personal pronoun is ''[[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns "watashi"]]''. After [[spoiler: being revived with Don Momotaro's essence in #32]], he picks up [[spoiler: Taro]]'s habits and switches to ''"ore"''. However, after [[spoiler: eating oden with wasabi in #34]], it's apparently effective enough to make him switch back to ''"watashi"'' again.
* HeroKiller: At the end of #13, he [[spoiler:strikes down Taro, taking advantage of a moment of weakness]].
* HiddenDepths: According to his remark in #18, he is considered a fashionista among the Nōto.
* KlingonPromotion: [[spoiler:After defeating Taro in their second duel, he declares that Taro's companions are now his.]]
* TheLeader: Downplayed. While Sononi and Sonoza look up to Sonoi, he rarely gives them any direct orders. [[spoiler:After his revival]] however, he beats Sononi and Sonoza into submission and has them bow down to him. The two start addressing him with the "-sama" suffix from then on. They stop after an oden/wasabi combo returns him to normal.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: [[spoiler:After reviving, his new chest protector can be used as a shield.]]
* LikesClarkKentHatesSuperman: Forms a CommonalityConnection with Taro in #8, with both men sharing similar philosophies but initially unaware that they're each other's biggest rival.
* MirrorCharacter: Invoked after [[spoiler:his revival. In his new state, he's a cocky BoisterousBruiser that sees his colleagues as "companions" - effectively Taro if he were on the side of evil]].
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Exploiting Taro's inability to lie to strike him down]] leaves Sonoi appalled at himself. It's such a stain on his personal honor that he protects Oni Sister from a single fatal blow as if it would help to make up for it.
* NotSoStoic: [[spoiler:After reverting back to his personality prior to his revival]], Sonoi becomes a lot more prone to silly moments, often reacting to the events around him with utter bafflement.
* OccultBlueEyes: He has deep blue eyes and possesses many abnormal abilities, being able to change humans into Hitotsu-Ki and transform into a blue, eagle-inspired form for starters.
* PerfectionIsImpossible: He believes that art is humans' way to show their imperfections, as they are too "primitive" to do better. On the flipside, a perfect being like him can't create anything that is imperfect by default, like art.
* PragmaticVillainy: To a T. He is not above using any advantage he can get from ambushing his targets to [[spoiler: asking Taro about his weakness, knowing he can't lie or dodge the question]]. However, he's not entirely thrilled with acting like that, even if he'll do it to get a win. [[spoiler:After he exploits Taro's weakness to "kill" him he feels like he acted disgracefully in doing so and even feels the need to make up for it, which he does by saving Haruka from a similar fate of getting ambushed by Sononi. But only once, as he feels he paid the debt with that and won't save her a following time.]] After [[spoiler:Taro's return]] Sonoi decides he isn't willing to fight like that after all because he finds it disgraceful. [[spoiler:When he attempts a fair rematch against Taro and Taro drops his transformation and leaves himself open because he refuses to fight him, Sonoi stops his sword and refuses to cut him down when he's vulnerable again.]]
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: A {{reconstructed}} variant. He wears ''shorts over leggings'', but it isn't obvious as they're both made of the same material and color.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: [[spoiler:After being revived he sports red eyes, and CameBackWrong by acting like a dark version of Taro instead.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: Amusingly for the series' theme, he's the Blue to Taro's Red.
* RuleOfSymbolism: Sonoi starts the show unable to produce anything resembling art. Near the end of the show, he produces an adequate painting, demonstrating that he's outgrown his CreativeSterility.
* ShoutOut: His armored form is designed after ''Manga/ChoujinBarom1''.
* TheStoic: He mantains a serious demeanor even when exposed to Sonoza's [[AnnoyingLaugh laugh]] or facing the train wreck that is the [[RagTagBunchOfMisfits Donbrothers]]. Hanging out with Taro brings out some surprisingly [[WhenHeSmiles soft]] expressions from him, though. [[spoiler:His revival in episode 32, however, flips his stoic switch the other way, and he becomes pretty much Don Momotaro in all but name.]]
* SuperMode: After being restored to his original personality, he can use his Kyokatai form as this, preferring to use his default Transformed form instead for the most part.
* SymbolicWings: Decorated on his armored form's helmet.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Sonoi is probably the most approachable of the Nōto. He's more willing to actively jump in and help other people than his colleagues and the respect he has for Taro's civilian persona is genuine. Even with an honor code as a makeshift conscience, he's still [[FantasticRacism dismissive of humans at best]] and [[KickTheDog can be just as ruthless as his colleagues.]]
* TookALevelInJerkass: [[spoiler:His taking on Taro's personality upon his revival, causes him to start being rude and dismissive of Sononi and Sonoza as merely his "Companions" the same way Taro is to Donbrothers, even kicking Sononi and Sonoza about in #33 in the same vein Taro did to the others after the show's early battles. It doesn't take and he eventually stabilizes.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Oden after Taro introduces him to it.
* {{Tsundere}}: He's normally quite soft with Taro, even after finding out that Taro's his enemy. However, [[spoiler: his revival with Taro's juice]] makes him rather abrasive to most people, especially Taro. [[spoiler: It doesn't last long, though, as eating wasabi with oden in #34 [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext somehow magically]] returns his original personality and he's back to being "deredere" to Taro again.]]
* UncertainDoom: In the [[Film/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersVSZenkaiger crossover film]], Sonoi [[spoiler: extracts the essence of Taro that the Council planted in him and returns it to the latter after they've seemingly died. He then stops Jiro from attacking Taro during the final act and battles him off-screen. Sonoza finds him unresponsive in his oden stand during the credits]], his final fate left open. [[spoiler: ''Film/OhsamaSentaiKingOhgerVSDonbrothers'' reveals that Sonoi did indeed die and he ended up in Hākabāka (the land of the dead in ''King-Ohger'''s universe), perfectly content with running an oden cart there.]]
* VillainRespect: Sonoi [[CommonalityConnection develops an admiration for the naïve purity of Taro's civilian persona]] and a more begrudging respect for his powerful Donbrother guise, unaware they're one and the same at first.
* VillainousRescue: [[spoiler: In Episode 15 he reveals to the Donbrothers that Taro is sleeping in another dimension and provides them with the means to by "slaying" Tsuyoshi and letting Jiro be transported to said dimension alongside him so that they could bring Taro back.]]
* VillainousVirtues: Cares about saving people (moreso the "saving") and adheres to some sort of honor code. His [[spoiler: murder of Taro in #13]] leaves him deeply ashamed.
* WeCanRuleTogether: He thinks Don Momotaro would make a "good servant." Momotaro responds by saying he'd make a "terrible companion."
** In 33, he and the generals arrive at Cafe Donbura to [[spoiler: "recruit" the Donbrothers as Noto reserves]].

* CharacterDevelopment: Sononi had the longest development of the main Noto trio ever since she met Tsubasa, having first experienced true love in #40 and fully understanding it by #44, making her the first Noto to fulfill their character development.
* DarkActionGirl: An unassuming young woman that can easily dispatch anybody that doesn't fulfill her ideal of beauty. [[spoiler: Eventually she leaves this role and becomes an ActionGirl]].
* DevotedToYou: [[spoiler:Becomes this to Tsubasa after falling in love with him till the point she attacks the police to prevent him from being arrested, which also causes her to be labeled a criminal.]]
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: She makes an entrance by shielding Kaitou-ki from the Donbrothers' FinishingMove, yet afterward turns around and shoots the poor Hitotsu-ki in the back after considering him no longer beautiful.
* FauxAffablyEvil: She makes herself to be a mysterious, somewhat kind figure that seeks out beauty in creatures that she finds interesting. If they don't fulfill her standards of "beautiful", she dispatches them in a heartbeat. Later on, she tends to shift between this and AffablyEvil as far as her interactions with Tsubasa is concerned.
* IcyGreyEyes: Has grey eyes and was arguably the most ruthless of the generals with her FauxAffablyEvil disposition before her development.
* LightIsNotGood: Is dressed in white, and is one of the series' major villains. Her armored form is also primarily white. [[spoiler: However, CharacterDevelopment kicks in and she subverts this]].
* OutlawCouple: At the end of the series, [[spoiler:she's now dating with Tsubasa and they're both on the run from the police]].
* PerpetualFrowner: Her default expression. She is often seen with a dull scowl on her face.
* PetTheDog: In an almost literal example she's clearly grown fond of Tsubasa after a while and he's the only Donbrother she approaches without hostility. Sononi even starts acting downright nervously shy around him in some cases. When he becomes possessed by Murasame's sword she even comes running to his aid and gets possessed herself trying to save him. 314* TakingTheBullet: Almost three times, two of them within ''minutes'' of each other in the same episode.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: Primarily fires energy bolts from her Condor Arrow bow, which can also be split apart into twin swords.
* SwissArmyWeapon: Her ''Condor Arrow'' is a bow that can split into [[DualWielding two swords]].
* VillainTakesAnInterest: She is intrigued by Tsubasa's love for Natsumi. [[spoiler:In #40, she ends up falling for Tsubasa instead.]]
* VillainousVirtues: She is capricious, vain and has no problem with protecting Hitotsu-Ki from Donbrothers just so she could shoot them herself, but genuinely cares about her co-villains.
** #14 shows that Sonoi's confusion and distress over [[spoiler: slaying Don Momotaro]] worries her even if she doesn't understand why it would.
** She is shown to keep promises, as she was willing to help Tsubasa with his wish because she lost a bet to him.
*** In addition, after learning of Tsubasa and Natsumi's story she feels genuinely concerned over them.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: She's intrigued by why and how humans fall in love with each other, desiring to know what love means.
* {{Yandere}}: [[spoiler:By the end of #40, she shows signs of this towards Tsubasa when she tells the latter that killing the Crane Juto will 'free' Natsumi while deliberately leaving out the part where Natsumi will die if he does that with her eyes glowing sinisterly after that.]] Unlike most examples, however, she almost immediately recognizes the consequences of her actions, and ends up stopping the outcome from happening halfway through.

He starts #44 off with happy tears flowing down his face and in the ''Zenkaiger'' crossover film, delivers an emotional RousingSpeech at [[spoiler: Taro's funeral]].
* TheComicallySerious: His completely straight-laced demeanor as he tries to understand human emotions is a primary source of comedy.
* HiddenDepths: He loves manga, particularly Haruka's, which allows him to have an extensive knowledge on various cliche plots and tropes. As such, he inadvertently becomes Haruka's editor despite being her enemy.
* InhumanEmotion: He desires to know more about human emotions. As such, he constantly expresses the wrong emotion for the mood of any situation - often in the ''creepiest way possible''. Eventually grows out of it and displays more proper emotions at reasonable levels thanks to Haruka.
** His reaction to getting hit in the face with a rock in #14 is to let out a deadpan ''ouch'' and then start laughing.

He warms up to her writing style as time goes on and eventually makes it his dream to see the girl's manga career get off the ground.
** By contrast, he's said to be much worse about this in [[spoiler: Naoki Shiina's timeline, his antagonism having made enemies out of his timeline's Haruka and Saruhara.]]
* RousingSpeech: He's the one to re-motivate the team after [[spoiler: their TenMinuteRetirement and Taro's following death at the hands of Kikai-Ki]] in the crossover film, encouraging them to avenge him.
* ShoutOut: His armored form is designed after ''Series/TheKagestar''.

* VillainousVirtues: He is a creepy brute with BloodKnight tendencies, but respects his co-villains and Sononi has recruited him to help her look after Sonoi in past.
* VillainTakesAnInterest: Downplayed. Sonoza isn't interested in Haruka but the manga she writes, thinking it can help in his quest to discover emotions.
** Later when he meets Haruka during Sonoi's attempt to claim the Donbrothers to serve him, Sonoza is quick to notice Haruka has been trying to draw manga and encourages her to keep trying to push past her slump.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Sonoza's [[spoiler:kidnapping of Haruka in episodes #21 and 22]] is solely in the hopes that her manga can fuel his quest for emotion. He's a harsh critic but never directly threatening.
* WhenHeSmiles: His genuine laugh and smile in #44 are very natural in contrast to his previous attempts at [[TheUnSmile smile]] and laughter.
* TheWorfEffect: His fights with Don Momotaro often end with him on the losing side, despite being able to take down the other Donbrothers quite easily. This is probably explained by the experience gap between Don Momotaro and rest of the team because without him, they are hopelessly outmatched.

** Averted with the ones defeated by the Donbrothers. Defeating them after their evolution into Hitotsu-Kings reverts them back to their original human forms.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Via evolution. Certain Hitotsu-Ki defeated by the Donbrothers will evolve into a giant, more advanced version of itself known as a ''Hitotsu-King''.
* MadnessMantra: They have a tendency to constantly repeat the major hangup that caused them to transform into the Hitotsu-Ki in the first place.
* MeaningfulName: Literally means "Human-Latching Demon".
* MixAndMatchWeapon: Most of them wield some form of combined weaponry, usually an iron club with a cleaver blade running along it's length.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: They are the monsters the Donbrothers have to face every week.
* MythologyGag: Their Hitotsu-King forms are themed after previous Sentais' main CombiningMecha, and as such also follow the ThemeNaming of "[Insert Theme]-King" much like how the more recent GiantMecha are commonly named "[Insert Theme]-Oh/''King''".
* PhantomZone: Hitotsu-Kings are able to extract the Nōto Layer from their immediate landscape to become one that floats in the skies above; only destruction caused the Hitotsu-King to the area will damage the landmark it represents in real-life.
* SeriousBusiness: Some of the Hitotsu-Ki's host desires are some rather mundane activities which they took very seriously such as sports, games, arts, etc...
* {{Transhuman}}: They evolve naturally from certain humans with strong desires, although the Nōto are able to induce a forced evolution from their human forms as well.

\

----
* ColourfulThemeNaming: Is named after the Japanese term for crimson, ''beni-iro''.
* SacrificialLamb: His death, alongside Shisotsu-Ki's later in the first episode, shows the consequences of what happens if the MonsterOfTheWeek for this series dies at the hands of any of the Nōto.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He didn't last long before getting eliminated by Sonoi.

!!Shisotsu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yusuke Yatouji

->Skin: Perilla Color
\
A purple type Hitotsu-Ki evolved from Haruka's classmate Yoshioka, to fulfil his desire to become stronger at table tennis.
----
* ColourfulThemeNaming: Is named after the Japanese term for "perilla color", ''shiso-iro'', specifically referring to the purple color some variants of the plant are.
* KilledOffForReal: He gets erased by Sonoi right in front of Haruka. [[spoiler:Ultimately subverted in episode 46, where he's shown as one of the freed Hitotsu-Ki hosts.]]
* SacrificialLamb: Like Benitsu-Ki before him, his death at the hands of Sonoi shows the consequences of letting any of the Nōto kill a Hitotsu-ki instead of the Donbrothers purifying them on time. Notably, he's also the first named human-turned-Hitotsu-Ki to [[AnyoneCanDie die for real.]]

!!Kishiryu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Masanari Kanou

->Skin: Knight's Armor (Hitotsu-ki), Three Knights' Armor (Hitotsu-King)
\
A knight-themed [[Series/KishiryuSentaiRyusoulger Knightosaur type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from former table tennis gold medallist Makoto Kasuga, to fulfil his desire to prove he is the best.
----
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: He's the only one that Sonoi actually transforms into a Hitotsu-Ki, implying that the Nōto have some form of control over them. However, as the story continues, this is further from the truth since the Nōto want to ''kill'' any Hitotsuki they come across and all of the Hitotsuki made afterwards occur on their own (with very rare exceptions), leaving Kishiryuki to be an oddity.
* MadnessMantra: As Kishiryu-King.
-->''"Bronze medal, silver medal, gold medal. Bronze medal, silver medal, gold medal...!"''
* ShoutOut: Along with the aforemention ''Ryusoulger'' shoutout, his Hitotsuki form resembles the armor of the "Knights of Rafkon" from ''Series/PowerRangersDinoFury''.

-->''"More younger! Younger!"''\
''"How old do I look... how old do I look...!?"''
* OneWingedAngel: Her Ressha-King form resembles a giant monster train based off the Shadow Line trains.

->Skin: Arsène Cloak
\
A phantom thief-themed [[Series/KaitouSentaiLupinrangerVsKeisatsuSentaiPatranger Flash Thief type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a thief known only as ''Kurokuma''[[note]]"Black Bear"[[/note]], to fulfil his desire to steal all lights and bring darkness to people.
----
* AssholeVictim: Unlike the other Hitotsu-Ki, he's much less sympathetic, but it doesn't make his sudden death at Sononi's hands any less shocking.
* EvilKnockoff: To Taro and his delivery company ''Shirokuma''[[note]]"White/Polar Bear"[[/note]]. He disguises himself as a courier with a fake company ''Kurokuma'' to break into peoples' homes, while his {{catchphrase}} knocks off Taro's own.
-->''"I don't carry packages. '''I carry darkness.'''"''
* FreudianExcuse: Shinichi theorizes that the various abuses that he faced on the job caused him to spiral and decide to steal lights, hoping to steal people's happiness just like they did.
* ImposterForgotOneDetail: Taro was able to figure out he was the thief, due to noticing that the cargo of his truck hasn't changed at all since last night along with how sloppily the packages are packed.
* KilledOffForReal: He gets erased by Sononi, subverting his potential MakeMyMonsterGrow into Kaitou-King as well. [[spoiler:Ultimately subverted in episode 46, where he's shown as one of the freed Hitotsu-Ki hosts.]]
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His real name was never revealed and is thus only known by his thiefname "Kurokuma".
* PhantomThief: As per his [[Series/KaitouSentaiLupinrangerVsKeisatsuSentaiPatranger inspiration]], his armored form resembles a monstrous Lupin-like figure, complete with his face looking like the Lupinrangers' emblem.

!!Chouriki-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Kizuki

->Skin: King's Pyramid
\
A pyramid/pharaoh-themed [[Series/ChourikiSentaiOhranger Superpower type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from chef Yukio Mizuno, owner of the onigiri store ''Onigiri Gorogoro'', to fulfil his desire to make a perfect 100-point score onigiri that satisfies Taro.
----
* DespairEventHorizon: Gets pushed beyond it when Taro rates him as AlwaysSecondBest to himself ([[TheAce with the skills to back up his claim]]). Despite being adviced by Taro on how to make the best onigiri, his utter disappointment in himself causes him to evolve into Chouriki-Ki and go on a rampage.
* ToBeAMaster: His obsession stems from wanting to be the best in onigiri-making.

!!Keisatsu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ryoji Sugimoto

->Skin: Hot-Blooded Officer (Hitotsu-Ki), Good Patrol Car (Hitotsu-King)
\
A bulldog/police officer-themed [[Series/KaitouSentaiLupinrangerVsKeisatsuSentaiPatranger Police type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from officer-detective Kenji Sayama, to fulfil his desire to gain enough credit to be given a Superintendent's Commendation before his upcoming retirement.
----
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler: Was one of the forty-one passengers who disappeared when their bus went into a tunnel. He's later shown alive in a ramen bar, only to attack the patrons while sloppily eating some meat and showing off fangs.]]
* CowboyCop: While his desire has some noble intentions, becoming a Hitotsu-Ki drives him to also intend to personally execute his target criminals, even if he doesn't have the proper authority to do so.
* HandCannon: Wields a rather large pistol in battle.
* HostageSituation: Supervises one in #5. Only, the "hostages" are the Donbrothers and aren't in any real danger. Until he becomes Keisatsu-Ki, at least.
* KnightTemplar: His desire to pursue justice has distorted enough to the point he became a Hitotsu-ki and was willing to even execute his targets.
* WeaponizedHeadgear: Keisatsu-King's hat has a gun mounted into it, giving him both the Patkaiser look and allowing him to shoot relentlessly at Don Zenkai-Oh.

!!Doubutsu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Hitomi Uneda

->Skin: Animal Collection
\
A zoo monument-themed [[Series/DoubutsuSentaiZyuohger Animal type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a nurse named Kirita, to fulfil her desire to save every patient herself.
----
* KnightTemplar: Similar to Keisatsu-Ki, her desire to save patients gets twisted to the point of ''[[EngineeredHeroics willingly harming civilians in order to supply herself with "patients" to save]]''.
* ThreateningShark: Her head resembles a Great White as part of one of the original 5 Zyuoh animals.

!!Chikyuu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Daifuku Marui

->Skin: Earth Tector (Hitotsu-Ki), Max Volcano (Hitotsu-King)
\
A globe-themed [[Series/ChikyuuSentaiFiveman Earth type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from the principal of Tsunokaku High School, where Haruka studies, to fulfill his desire to make others learn discipline.
----
* {{Invisibility}}: He has the ability to become invisible.
* KnightTemplar: Wants to instill discipline in people, but gets distorted into trapping rule-breakers within pieces of paper that [[DisproportionateRetribution he can then burn down as punishment]].
* MagmaMan: Can launch magma from his head as Chikyuu-King, referencing the fact that said form is based on Max Magma (which ironically did not have magma-based powers in its home series).
* SpottingTheThread: Don Momotaro was able to find him even though he was concealed, due to the fact that his [[PlotAllergy hay fever]] at the time causes him to sneeze from the pollen the former scatters from his fan.

!!Mashin-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Junpei Shimada

->Skin: Sparkling Mage
\
A gemstone/mage-themed [[Series/MashinSentaiKiramager Magic Vehicle type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from Sakaki, a long-haired vagrant artist, to fulfil his desire to draw his ideal model.
----
* AssholeVictim: Arguably more deranged than Kaitou-Ki and the first Hitotsu-Ki one of the [=DonBrothers=] wrote off as a lost cause, but just like the latter, you can't help but feel a little bad for him, especially when Don Momotaro was very close to saving him.
* BeyondRedemption: Kiji Brother considers him this for hurting his wife, and intervenes with Don Momotaro's finisher so Sonoi can kill him off for good.
* KilledOffForReal: Is slain by Sonoi after Kiji Brother stops Don Momotaro's finisher, with Kiji Brother letting him die for daring to hurt his wife. [[spoiler:Ultimately subverted in episode 46, where he's shown as one of the freed Hitotsu-Ki hosts.]]
* MadArtist: Is driven insane by his desire to find the ideal model, leading him to become a Hitotsu-Ki.
* TraumaticHaircut: A variation - Miho exploits his long hair to give him a haircut, which allows her to escape from him... and for him to finally turn into a Hitotsu-Ki.

!!Tokumei-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ouga Tsukao (child), Bunmei Harada (old)

->Skin: Buddy Cheetah
\
A cheetah-themed [[Series/TokumeiSentaiGoBusters Special Ops type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from the spirit of a hospitalized old man named Taichi Izawa, to fulfill his desire to play games with everyone.
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: The core of his desire is due to the fact that he's shown to have a lonely childhood, having been ostracized by other kids whenever he tried playing games with them. His old age at present and the fact that he's been hospitalized implies his childhood desire went berserk as a form of a LastRequest.
* AntiVillain: Has quite possibly the least malicious motivation of any Hitotsu-Ki up until his debut, simply being an old man's childhood desire to have fun playing games with other people. He doesn't even seem aware that his actions are endangering anybody he plays with.
* {{Intangibility}}: Due to having evolved from ''his spirit'' rather than his physical body, his Hitotsu-Ki form is not physical, making him hard to damage.
* TeleportSpam: The last stage of his game with the Donbrothers has him randomly teleporting around as he counts down, making it almost impossible to tell where he'll be once he stops.

!!Kaizoku-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yuji Kubo

->Skin: Pirated Pirate
\
A pirate/octopus-themed [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Pirate type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a failing manga artist named Naruki Oi, to fulfil his desire to become a manga artist.
----
* CannibalismSuperpower: He absorbs other mangaka in order to steal their talents to make up for his lack of it.
* CombatTentacles: Uses them to abduct his targets or to attack.
* IJustWantToBeSpecial: He is an avid {{fanboy}} of mangakas whose desire to become one despite his lack of talent led him to evolve into a Hitotsu-Ki.
* ShoutOut: His octopus design along with his pirate motif is one to [[Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean Davy Jones]].

!!Shuriken-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Takashi Sakakibara

->Skin: Ninja that Doesn't Hide
\
A ninja-themed [[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger Shuriken type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a ninja wannabe named Minoru Ohno, to fulfil his desire to show off his ninja skills.
----
* {{Caltrops}}: Can summon some in combat, which Kiji Brother has the ill fortune of stepping on.
* FuumaShuriken: Uses two, stored on his head and chest, in combat.
* LetsSeeYouDoBetter: His evolution came about as a result of wanting to prove his ninja skills to an unimpressed Taro.
* MesACrowd: Can create Shadow Clones of himself in battle.
* StrongAndSKilled: Compared to other Hitotsu-Ki, Shuriken-Ki also has the skills to back up his powers and abilities allowing him to give Taro trouble without the other Donbrothers backing him up.

!!Uchu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Wataru Oguri

->Skin: Ultimate Planetarium (Hitotsu-Ki), All-star Constellation (Hitotsu-King)
\
A celestial sphere-themed [[Series/UchuSentaiKyuranger Space type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a young idol {{fanboy}}, to fulfil his desire to monopolize all idols.
----
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Uchuu-Ki had virtually no connection to the overarching plot of the episode it appeared in (aside from a tangential plot involving kidnapping idols), but nonetheless appeared to provide the requisite battle of the episode.
* MythologyGag: Apart from his theme, he does the hip thrusts found in the first version of Kyuranger's ending DancingTheme after turning into Uchuu-King.
* TerrainSculpting: As Uchu-King, he creates an elevated platform in the midst of his battle against Don Onitaijin.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Hardly anything is known about him aside from his motives, even as Uchu-Ki he hardly displays any unique powers.

!!Zyuden-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Fukiko Hara

->Skin: Brave In Mask (Hitotsu-Ki), Almighty Dino King (Hitotsu-King)
\
A tiki mask-themed [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Beast Power type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from the town's claimer Fusako, to fulfil her desire to be cared for.
----
* AttentionWhore: Her desire to be noticed and be cared for leads her to commit various attention-seeking acts such as making a scene at Donbura and at a department store.
* DanceBattler: Downplayed; she uses samba rhythms in battle but prefers to shock her foes instead.
* ShockAndAwe: Mainly releases blasts of electricity as her weapon.
* TragicVillain: Her desire stems from the fact that her husband had passed away and her only child left home, leaving her all alone with no one to care for her.

!!Kousoku-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yasumasa Ishida

->Skin: Shogi Piece GT (Hitotsu-Ki), Turbo Custom Car (Hitotsu-King)
\
A ''shōgi''-themed [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger High-Speed type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a high-school student and ''shōgi'' player, to fulfil his desire to become stronger at ''shōgi''.
----
* ForcedTransformation: Anyone struck by his EyeBeams gets turned into ''shōgi'' pieces.
* FreezeFrameBonus: If one looks closely and can understand Japanese, you can see he attends [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Musashino Academy]], possibly lending an in-universe explanation for his motif.
* MythologyGag: One of his special attacks begins with him being flanked by four ''shōgi'' pieces in a manner similar to that of the Turborangers' team pose.
* SuperSpeed: Can blaze about the battlefield in quick bursts.

!!Gekisou-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Hirofumi Suzuki

->Skin: Full Accel {{Salaryman}}
\
A car-themed [[Series/GekisouSentaiCarranger Extreme Rush type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from ''Pheasant Consultant'' employee and Donbrother [[Characters/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersDonbrothers Tsuyoshi Kijino]], to fulfil his desire for revenge against those who hurt his wife Miho.
----
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: Gekisou-Ki is none other than Kiji Brother, maddened by his desire to avenge his wife, and ends up [[FightingYourFriend fighting against the other Donbrothers]].
* CriticalExistenceFailure: Can literally ''delete'' vehicles and cars from the road.
* MadnessMantra: ''"Trafficsafetytrafficsafety... TRAFFIC SAFETY!!"''
* MythologyGag: His favored method of attack is to spin rapidly while striking his enemies with a sword, evoking [[Series/GekisouSentaiCarranger RV Robo's]] FinishingMove.
* NecktieHeadband: As part of his partially {{salaryman}}-inspired design.
* SpinAttack: Employs a lot of these defensively.
* SingleIssueWonk: Miho [[spoiler: being nearly hurt by a vehicle]] has Tsuyoshi concerned with removing vehicles from the road to enforce "traffic safety."

!!Kyoryu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ryuya Minato

->Skin: Fossil That Leapt Through Time (Hitotsu-Ki), Tyrannosaurus (Hitotsu-King)
\
A fossil-themed [[Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger Dinosaur type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a young gamer, to fulfil his desire to overwhelmingly clear his video game.
----
* CriticalExistenceFailure: Can delete people the same way Gekisou-Ki could vehicles.
* {{Cyberbullying}}: Kyoryu-Ki's host is mercilessly bullied for being bad at the game he's streaming, [[StartOfDarkness which becomes the impetus for his transformation]].
* DemBones: Appropriately enough, for a fossil-themed Hitotsu-Ki.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Like Uchu-Ki before him, he has no relation to the plot of the episode he appears in, only serving to be a victim of Jiro's MisplacedRetribution.
* MisplacedRetribution: Jiro attacks and defeats him under the assumption that he's the one who caused him to go BrainwashedAndCrazy, when in actuality it's Jiro own SplitPersonality issue with a SuperpoweredEvilSide.

!!Choujin-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yuka Kohinata

->Skin: Birdonic Wing (Hitotsu-Ki), Agile Garuda (Hitotsu-King)
\
A bird-themed [[Series/ChoujinSentaiJetman Birdman type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from Kanako, the ex-girlfriend of a young man named Makoto Tanabe, to fulfil her desire to seek her fated love.
----
* BaitAndSwitch: Much of the episode it appears in heavily indicates that Makoto would become it due to carrying its potential and his apparent obsession over Kanako fueling it, however as it turns Kanako herself ended up becoming its actual host, due to her own obsession over Tsubasa fueling it.
* BrokenPedestal: The DespairEventHorizon that pushes her to become a Hitotsu-Ki is the very sight of Tsubasa transforming into Inu Brother, being utterly shocked at the apparent WrongAssumption that her crush turns into or was a "dog" all along.
* LoveAtFirstSight: She fell for Tsubasa when he came to rescue her from Chikyuu-ki right as her then-boyfriend Makoto ran in fear.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: Her infatuation with Tsubasa leads her to [[StalkerShrine plaster her room with his "Wanted" poster]], and she turns into a Hitotsu-ki after seeing him transform into Inu Brother.

!!Engine-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ai Chushin

->Skin: Engine Soul (Hitotsu-Ki), Tuned-up Engine (Hitotsu-King)
\
A HitodamaLight-themed [[Series/EngineSentaiGoonger Engine-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a ghost named Minako Sagiyama, to fulfil her desire to meet her pen-pal and crush, Shinzo Tadokoro.
----
* {{Intangibility}}: Like Tokumei-Ki, physical attacks simply phase through her, due to her having evolved from a ghost.
* PlayingWithFire: Can conjure fireballs that she hurls at the enemy.
* PunnyName: Her Hitotsu-Ki name is a play on "engine" and ''enjin'' (炎神, "flame god").
* SuperSpeed: Can zip around the battlefield in short bursts, courtesy of the engines in her shoulders.
* UnfinishedBusiness: Refuses to pass on until she's met Shinzo.
* WrongContextMagic: Being evolved from a ghost, a lot of the normal Hitotsu-Ki conventions don't apply to her.
** She has {{intangibility}}, implied to be a stronger variant than Tokumei-Ki's.
** She is able to invoke MakeMyMonsterGrow without being defeated first.
** Even while fighting Don Onitaijin as Engine-King, she's able to project a separate body to finish her last moments on the phone with Shinzo before passing on.

!!Gosei-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Shigeki Itō

->Skin: Pigtailed Fist Fighter (Hitotsu-Ki), Pigtailed Weapons Fighter (Hitotsu-King)
\
A Chinese dragon-themed [[Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger Five Star-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a man seeking strength named Ashida, to fulfil his desire to fight strong opponents to get even stronger.
----
* BloodKnight: Ashida's sole desire is to constantly fight strong enemies.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: His appearance has nothing to do with the episode's core plot again, like with Uchu-ki and Kyoryu-ki.
* TantrumThrowing: Gosei-Ki's defeat at the hands of Don Torabolt ends in its host flailing madly on the ground, complaining about his inability to fight.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: His human guise is first seen wearing only shorts. In the rain.

!!Samurai-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yuta Yamazaki

->Skin: Word Warrior
\
A Musha-themed [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger Samurai-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from Shirai, a former ramen chef and the previous Saru Brother, to fulfil his desire to know his successor Shinichi's reason for fighting selflessly.
----
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Or in this case, "Greed Cannot Comprehend Asceticism". Shirai's desire and failure to understand why Shinichi ''wouldn't'' use his powers for self-gain turns him into a Hitotsu-Ki.
* SeriousBusiness: Ramen, so much so that he was willing to forge a signature of the Matsui Clan leader's favorite actor just to get a pot of their ''tare''.
* SymbolMotifClothing: His armor is littered with various kanji related to "evil". Some of them seen are 悪/''aku''/"evil" (on his helmet), 死/''shi''/"death" (on his face), 罪/''tsumi''/"sin" (on his collar) and 邪/''ja''/"wicked" (on his torso).
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatPerks: Shirai used his time as Saru Brother solely for personal gain, using it to win athletic competitions, impress the ladies, and cut in line at events, which was why he never became a full Donbrother.

!!Denji-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Tet Wada

->Skin: Digital Surfer (Hitotsu-Ki), Galaxy Mecha (Hitotsu-King)
\
A jellyfish/plasma globe-themed [[Series/DenjiSentaiMegaranger Electromagnetic-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a wealthy man named Kentaro Goda, to fulfil his desire to listen to an interesting story that will alleviate his boredom.
----
* CoolBoard: He rides on one as a {{homage}} to the Megarangers' Cyber Sliders, though this may be part PersonalityPowers as he is [[HiddenDepths shown to be an accomplished surfer]].
* ElectricJellyfish: He's themed on a jellyfish, and his powers revolve around electromagnetism.
* PowerCopying: He is able to copy the "powers" or summon appliances, which appear as an image in the dome on his head.
* RichBoredom: A wealthy man who feels he's gained everything, he turns into a Hitotsu-Ki out of sheer boredom.

!!Juken-Ki

\
A jaguar/kung-fu-themed [[Series/JukenSentaiGekiranger Beast Fist-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a student named Tamaru, to fulfil his desire to silence everyone so he can study for his exams in peace.
----
* BerserkButton: ''Any'' kind of noise that breaks his concentration[=/=]distracts him was the catalyist needed to turn him into the berserking Juken-Ki.
* CatFolk: His Hitotsu-ki form is an anthropomorphic [[PantheraAwesome jaguar]], an {{homage}} to the main three Gekirangers' {{animal motif}}s.
* CombatHandFan: {{Dual Wield}}s a pair of them as Juken-King.
* {{Crunchtastic}}: He sometimes lapses into made-up words such as "shouty-shout", [[MythologyGag like Jan did]].
* FreezeFrameBonus: His civilian shoes are branded with ''[=SCRTC=]'', [[MythologyGag the sports company that backs the Gekirangers]].
* MadnessMantra:
-->"Too loud!"\
"I need more quiet!"
* MythologyGag: One of the most riddled amongst the Hitotsu-Ki, aside from his SCRTC brand shoes, pun-based motives and {{crunchtastic}} BuffySpeak based on Jan's, he even quotes the series' OpeningNarration, twisted to describe his motives in studying.
* PungeonMaster: His motives are all puns of central terms in ''Gekiranger'' -- "exam-taking" is homophonous with ''Juken/"Beast Fist"'', while "[the] Constitution" (the topic he is studying) is homophonous with ''Kenpo/"Fist Arts"''.

A shinobi-themed [[Series/NinjaSentaiKakuranger Ninja-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from Koichiro, the runaway son of Tomoko Higashi, to fulfil his desire to find meaning in his life.
----
* ContrivedCoincidence: The Hitotsu-Ki just happens to be the estranged son of the woman the Donbrothers have been trying to help by having Taro pose as her son.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: His obsession for this is main reason he became a Hitotsu-Ki.
* MadnessMantra: "A reason to live...!!"
* StockNinjaWeaponry: He's armed with a pair of ''[[DeviousDaggers kunai]]''.

!!Dai-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Kotaro Taki

->Skin: Rhythmic Gymnastics Ruins (Hitotsu-Ki), Ribbon Competition (Hitotsu-King)
\
An Atlantis/stone gate-themed [[Series/DaiSentaiGoggleFive Great-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from [[Characters/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersOtherCharacters Yamada]], the director and Tsuyoshi's boss at ''Pheasant Consultant'', to fulfil his desire to find a capable subordinate.
----
* ForcedTransformation: Anyone struck by his ribbon is turned into pink orbs.
* MadnessMantra: "Work for me...!!"
* MythologyGag: His weapons are one to the Goggle Five:
** His clubs are an homage to Goggle Black's Black Clubs.
** His hula hoop, an homage to Goggle Blue's Blue Ring.
** His ball is an homage to Goggle Yellow's Yellow Ball.
** His ribbon is an homage to Goggle Pink's Pink Ribbon.

\
A wizard-themed [[Series/MahouSentaiMagiranger Magic-type]] Hitotsu-Ki, and the second form evolved from ninja wannabe Minoru Ohno, to fulfil his desire to defeat Taro.
----
* TheBusCameBack: Ohno's emergence as Mahou-Ki makes the first time a single host became two Hitotsu-Ki on multiple occasions.
* CallingYourAttacks: He calls out the elemental magic he uses in his fights.
* DiscardAndDraw: Instead of his initial Shuriken/Ninja-themed power set, he uses a Wizard-themed power set on his second go-around as a Hitotsu-Ki.
* ElementalPowers: He's shown to cast [[ShockAndAwe lightning]] and [[DishingOutDirt earth]] magic.
* InstantRunes: He casts spells via runic circles like the Magirangers conjured in battle.
* MagicWand: Wields one as Mahou-Ki.
* MythologyGag: There's a very good reason he gets two monster forms based on Ninninjer and Magiranger - not only is [=AoNinja=] a wizard in training, he's trained by [=MagiYellow=].
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: His sheer desire to defeat Taro is what transformed him into a Hitotsu-Ki the second time.
* RobeAndWizardHat: He sports them over his ninja outfit and his Hitotsu-Ki form.

!!Kagaku-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Nanaha Itose

->Skin: Dream Invention (Hitotsu-Ki), Explosive Grand Slam (Hitotsu-King)
\
A volcanic rock/chemical explosive-themed [[Series/KagakuSentaiDynaman Science-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a woman named Mizuho Ijuin, to fulfil her desire to acquire "The Secret", a priceless portrait of her painted by her deceased boyfriend, Takeo Aota.
----
* TheBadGuyWins: Zigzagged. She manages to steal the portrait she was chasing after with Inu Brother's help, though the Donbrothers still defeat her as Kagaku-King.
* {{Blackmail}}: She uses this to convince Tsubasa to help her steal "The Secret", by threatening to blab about his fugitive status to anyone who listens.
* PhantomThief: Defied. Tsubasa stops Mizuho from being one by stating that sending a CallingCard only happens on TV and how using [[RealNameAsAnAlias her real name]] on there is a ''very'' bad idea.
* ResistTheBeast: As Kagaku-Ki, she can control her desire to the point of being able to cancel her transformation. This does not apply as Kagaku-King.

!!Bakuryuu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Kouji Wakasugi

\
A dinosaur-themed [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Blast Dragon-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a company president named Nagai, to fulfil his desire for those around him to be faster.
----
* BadBoss: From what we see of his host, the man constantly bullies his employees in a bid to get them to move faster.
* DinosaursAreDragons: He is based on a dinosaur Sentai series and is shaped like a dragon.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: He's yet another Hitotsu-ki that is tangential to the plot of the episode it appears in.
* MadnessMantra:
-->"Too slow!!"\
"Can't you go faster?!"

!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yosuke Nishi (first host), Kenta Yamagishi (second host)

->Skin: Angel Headder
\
An angel-themed [[Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger Heavenly Armament-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from an unnamed BigEater, to fulfil his desire to go on a diet. When his desire disappeared however, the power moves on to possess poor-selling street musician Ryuji Inui, who is also the temporary user of Inu Brother, to fulfill his desire for his ex-girlfriend Shoko to come back to him.
----
* {{Acrofatic}}: Its first host certainly qualifies, being a rotund BigEater who's nonetheless agile enough to stymie the Donbrothers' efforts to defeat him.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Both of its hosts go on to have success in their love lives, with the first meeting a ChubbyChaser who's attracted by his large appetite and Ryuji reconciling with Shoko.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Mixed with MythologyGag for Ryuji Inui. Despite not being Tensou-Ki initially, his busking billboard describes himself as having a "''Skick Voice of Storms''", a reference to Gosei Red's roll call[[note]]"The Skick Power of Storms"[[/note]]. Sure enough, he eventually becomes the second Tensou-Ki.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: Has a pair of large white wings, befitting his angel motif.
* LandSeaSky: Just like the Goseigers, it can [[{{Flight}} fly]] and use [[DishingOutDirt earth]] and [[MakingASplash water]] attacks.
* MadnessMantra:
** "Dieting...!!" (first host)
** "[[SayMyName Shoko--!!]]" (second host)

A compass/explorer-themed [[Series/GoGoSentaiBoukenger Rumbling-type]] Hitotsu-ki, and the third form evolved from ninja/wizard wannabe Minoru Ohno, to fulfil his desire to defeat Taro.
----
* TheBusCameBack: The third time Ohno managed to become a Hitotsu-ki.
* DiscardAndDraw: This time, he's sporting an explorer-themed power set instead of a ninja or a wizard-themed power.
* FinalWords: ''"Mom, I'm sorry--!"''
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: His third appearance initially implies he has pulled a HeelFaceTurn, having put his ninja wannabe life behind him in favour of a proper career as a horse rancher and making his mother proud. However [[DrivenToMadness he begins to see ninja-related hallucinations]] from his horses, causing him to [[StatusQuoIsGod relapse back into his ninja ways and motive to defeat Taro]].
* MythologyGag: When he transforms into [=GoGo=]-Ki he uses their transformation call of "Start-up" before snapping his fingers and yelling "Attack" just like [=BoukenRed=].
* RuleOfThree: This is the third time he's become a Hitotsu-Ki.
* UncertainDoom: Slain by the revived Sonoi this time, it is not shown if he was KilledOffForReal or placed into the Nōto prison as a result.

!!Taiyou-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Hirofumi Suzuki
->Skin: Sunshine Employee

A sun-themed [[Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan Solar-type]] Hitotsu-ki, and the second form evolved from ''Pheasant Consultant'' employee and Donbrother [[Characters/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersDonbrothers Tsuyoshi Kijino]], to fulfil his desire to have his beloved wife Miho all to himself.
----
* DiscardAndDraw: This is Tsuyoshi's second go-around as a Hitotsu-ki, and this time has sun-themed powers rather than vehicle-based powers.
* MythologyGag:
** When he gets turned into Taiyou-Ki alongside Shinichi and Haruka, the three of them mimic Sun Vulcan's pose.
** One of his attacks has him quote Sun Vulcan's opening theme: "Follow the sun, catch the sun".
* ThePowerOfTheSun: He can create a miniature sun to attack with.
* SingleIssueWonk: More obsessive about his wife (than normal), to the point that "Miho" is basically a MadnessMantra.

!!Tokusou-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Hiroo Ohtaka
->Skin: Hell's Mascot Dog (Hitotsu-Ki), Big Police Dog (Hitotsu-King)
\
A police dog/siren-themed [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Special Investigations-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from an unnamed ''oden'' stand owner, to fulfil his desire to stop any and all criticism about his cooking.
----
* {{Animorphism}}: He becomes more dog-like upon becoming a Hitotsu-King, going on all fours and even attempting to [[UrineTrouble pee on [=GolDon=] Onitaijin's leg]].
* CantTakeCriticism: Any comments on his cooking that aren't 100% praise immediately [[BerserkButton set him off, triggering his transformation]].
* FingerFirearms: Has machine guns built into his fingers as Tokusou-King.
* {{Hellhound}}: He's modeled on one, as a MythologyGag to Doggie Kruger/Dekamaster and his moniker "Hell's Guard Dog".
* ManiacTongue: Has two tongues hanging out of his mouth in both Hitotsu-Ki and -King forms.
* PunnyName: The "''deka''" in his skin name as a Hitotsu-King is a play on the Japanese slang for "detective", and ''dekai'' (デカい, "big").
* SmallNameBigEgo: Despite being the owner of a humble ''oden'' stand, he apparently thinks himself a genius chef. And he won't hear anything that implies otherwise.

!!Choujuu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ku Ijima
->Skin: Life Academia (Hitotsu-ki), Life Dimension (Hitotsu-king)
\
A falcon/dolphin/lion-themed [[Series/ChoujuuSentaiLiveman Super Beast-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from an unnamed physics student, to fulfil his desire to understand youth.
----
* ArmCannon: His Hitotsu-King form has guns built into his [[PowerPalms palms]] and elbows.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Downplayed. Has pretty much no connection to the overarching plot involving the investigation into the Jūto, though he somehow pops up in Taro's delivery truck in an attempt to sate his desires.
* MixAndMatchCritters: Is a chimeric Hitotsu-Ki based on multiple animals.
* MythologyGag:
** Pretty much every line of his dialogue is a reference to the theme songs of ''Liveman''.
** His host is a young man who spent his entire life studying and eventually has a mental breakdown in an amusement park as a result. The backstory is shared with Goh Omura/Dr. Obular, who also saw his past start to catch up with him in an amusement park.

!!Kyukyu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Koji Kasai
->Skin: Century's End Matoi (Hitotsu-ki), Century's End Liner (Hitotsu-king)
\
A firefighter-themed [[Series/KyukyuSentaiGoGoV Rescue-type]] Hitotsu-ki evolved from a timid man named Kuga, to fulfil his desire to be rescued.
----
* InnocentBystander: Subverted. While he's [[WeirdnessMagnet certainly thrust into perilous situations]], his desire to be rescued from these ironically leads him to become a Hitotsu-Ki.
* OneWingedAngel: Twice. First he turns into Kyukyu-King, which resembles the Go-Liners in train formation, and after Toradora Onitaijin disconnects his train cars he turns into a form that resembles Beetle Mars.
* PlayingWithFire: He can spew jets of fire that serve to make the battlefield a BattleAmongstTheFlames.
* WeirdnessMagnet: His desire stems from the fact that he keeps running into supernatural situations -- becoming a hostage of "Tsubasa"'s raid of a restaurant, witnessing "Natsumi"'s superhuman powers, and lastly witnessing Don Momotaro and Sonoza confronting the Jūto leads him to believe he needs to be "saved" from the potential dangers of all these superpowered beings.

!!Seijuu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Tomoki Hirose
->Skin: Beast Armor's Light (Hitotsu-ki), Super Armor's Light (Hitotsu-king)
\
A chimera-themed [[Series/SeijuuSentaiGingaman Star Beast-type]] Hitotsu-Ki that initially manifested in ninja/wizard/explorer-wannabe Minoru Ohno before being transferred to and evolving from Nōto inspector Sonoshi, to fulfil the latter's desire for revenge on those who set them up to become a Hitotsu-Ki.
----
* CallBack: Like Tensou-Ki, it's able to jump from one host to another, as Sonoza demonstrates by taking it from Minoru Ohno to Sonoshi.
* LoopholeAbuse: Normally, Nōto cannot become Hitotsu-Ki on their own. However, nothing stops a Hitotsu-Ki from possessing a Nōto instead as long as it's near maturity, which makes ThePlan work in the first place.
* UnwittingPawn: The Hitotsu-Ki is made a pawn in the Donbrothers' and Nōto's plan to deal with Sonoshi.

!!Denshi-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Mika Tobari
->Skin: DZ Mechanism Type-8022
\
A circuit board-themed [[Series/DenshiSentaiDenziman Electronics-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a gourmet critic named Noriko Iida, to fulfil her desire to sample new and exotic dishes.
----
* BalloonBelly: She notably gains one from changing back to human after she consumes humans whenever she changes into a Hitotsu-Ki, but [[AlternateIdentityAmnesia could not recall what made her stuffed]].
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Noriko became a Hitotsu-Ki because she wanted to taste something new. She manages to do so at the end of the episode by tasting the food Tsubasa and Takamura made from the fruits inside her PocketDimension during her time as Denshi-Ki.
* MythologyGag:
** Denshi-Ki absorbs Tsubasa as one of her victims. Doesn't seem like a callback at first until you recall how the Denziman's mentor, a dog, [[spoiler:sacrificed himself to essentially become an ''intergrated circuit'' in the Denziman's sole mech]].
** A meta one: the number 8022 which shows up on her face and skin name is a nod to the date the first episode of ''Denziman'' aired: February 2, 1980.

!!Ja-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Moeka Ukawa
->Skin: Trump Cyborg (Hitotsu-ki), Big Bang Cyborg (Hitotsu-king)
\
A card suit-themed [[Series/JAKQDengekitai Evil-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a woman named Tamaki, to fulfil her desire for more attention.
----
* MythologyGag:
** Tamaki wears red boots that resemble those worn by Karen Mizuki/Heart Queen as a civilian.
** Her desire for more attention nods to how JAKQ was cancelled due to low ratings.
* OddNameOut: If the standard Hitotsu-Ki naming scheme was used, she'd be called Dengeki-Ki. The problem is that the more traditionally named ''Series/DengekiSentaiChangeman'' would also be named that, so they made a custom name for the more uniquely named ''Series/JAKQDengekitai''.
* PunnyName: Her hitotsu-ki name is derived from taking the "Ja" of ''JAKQ'' and giving it an equivalent kanji, in this case "邪/Evil", likely due to the OneSteveLimit of having a ''Dengeki-Ki'' later on.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her transformation into Ja-Ki leads to Don Killer finding where the Donbrothers are.

!!Mirai-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Hiroyuki Matsumoto
->Skin: Chrono Driver α (Hitotsu-ki), Chrono Driver β (Hitotsu-King)
\
An owl/clock-themed [[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger Future-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a driving instructor named Muto, to fulfil his desire to have someone instruct him on how to deal with the Donbrothers' shenanigans.
----
* {{Catchphrase}}: ''"Okay!!"'', which becomes a MadnessMantra as a Hitotsu-Ki.
* FishOutOfWater: Being an instructor for thirty years led him to believe he has SeenItAll. However, his encounters with [[DrivesLikeCrazy Haruka]] and the Donbrothers prove to him otherwise, putting him as such a loss his desire for someone to instruct ''him'' how to handle the situation turns him into a Hitotsu-Ki.
* MythologyGag:
** The school he works for, Oniga ''Mirai'' Driving School, has its logo modelled after the ''Timeranger'' show title.
** His Hitotsu-ki form is heavily armored like Time Robo α, while his Hitotsu-King form is lightly armored like Time Robo β.
** His Hitotsu-ki form is partially modeled on an [[OminousOwl owl]], a reference to Tac.
* TimeMaster: He can loop back time as a Hitotsu-King, undoing the combinations of Toradragonjin and [=GolDon=] Onitaijin. It ends up being all for naught though, as the Donbrothers combine into Toradora Onitaijin Kiwami anyway.

!!Hikari-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Yukijiro Hotaru
->Skin: Burning Aura
\
A Buddha-themed [[Series/HikariSentaiMaskman Light-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from SantaClaus himself, to fulfil his desire to get back at the young people of the modern era, whom he sees as spoiled and greedy.
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: This version of Santa grew disillusioned with kids because he found that modern children have become unreceptive to the ''old traditional toys'' he gives as presents. And the one time he attempted to learn what modern kids did want landed him in jail (see MistakenForPedophile below), which causes him to [[BrokenPedestal completely lose faith in humanity in general]] for being apparent {{unsatisfiable customer}}s.
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: This version of Santa is somehow able to run out of presents to give, which resulted in his encounter with Taro as a child when he asks the latter for his toys as donations. When Taro recounts this story to the others, Haruka and Shinichi believe "Santa" is instead a petty thief who robbed Taro's home.
* BadSanta: The troubles Santa has faced, which also includes getting arrested by the police, would make him a host for Hikari-Ki.
* {{Irony}}: A Hitotsu-ki themed on a Hindu/Buddhist figure evolving from the embodiment of a Christian holiday.
* MistakenForPedophile: In one of his Christmas mishaps that led to his slump, a boy he was monitoring claimed he wanted a video game as his present. When he was about to present the game on Christmas day however, he overhears the boy telling his parents he wanted ''[[UnsatisfiableCustomer an older brother]]'' instead. This causes Santa to drop the video game and show up at the boy's front door dressed as a young boy, claiming to be his new older brother. [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome He soon gets arrested by the police afterwards]].
* SignificantWardrobeShift: During his depression and time as Hikari-Ki, Santa [[ExpositoryHairstyleChange does away with his beard]] and red outfit, appearing more like a homeless man. He returns to his iconic look after regaining his optimism from talking to Taro.

!!Himitsu-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Chikato Pride
->Skin: Pentateuch Mask (Hitotsu-ki), Crunchy Dribbling (Hitotsu-king)
\
A darkness/rainbow-themed [[Series/HimitsuSentaiGorenger Secret-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from a PhonyPsychic named Tsutomu Kameda, to fulfil his desire to be saved from the QuirkyHousehold CreepyFamily he attempted to rob.
----
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Tsutomu finds out the hard way that Shinichi, a person that owns nothing worth of value and avoids greed, is a horrible target to swindle or rob from. And that's not accounting the FamilyOfChoice he has with him who makes Tsutomu's decision that much more regretful.
* MesACrowd: As Himitsu-King, he can split into five copies in order to use his Rainbow Grenade attack.
* MuggingTheMonster: Tsutomu tries to burgle the house of a person who happens to be one of the city's resident superheroes, and whose FamilyOfChoice happens to be his superhero teammates. It ends up badly for him.
* MythologyGag:
** Like with Dai-Ki, he wields various weapons of the Gorengers in combat, including the Red Bute whip, [[TheStraightAndArrowPath Blue Cherry]], [[GrenadeSpam Earring Bombs]], and the [[PrecisionGuidedBoomerang Midomerang]].
** As Himitsu-King, he uses the Rainbow Grenade, whose method of use is identical to the Gorenger Hurricane.

->Skin: BM Particle 8424 Type
\
An electronics/circuit board-themed [[Series/ChoudenshiBioman Super Electron-type]] Hitotsu-Ki evolved from an office worker named Rikio Ono, to fulfil his desire for praise.
----
* AttentionWhore: He becomes a Hitotsu-Ki due to his desire for praise from others.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: He's largely detached from the overarching plot of his episode regarding the reveal of Tsubasa as Inu Brother among other plot lines.
* GoneHorriblyRight: His desire for praise and attention from people leads him to cross paths with the Donbrothers, who promptly give him the attention he seeks by curb-stomping him.
* MythologyGag: He and the company he works for have various ''Bioman'' references.
** His appearance is based off Monster, while his boss and a female colleague have appearances based off Doctor Man and Farrah respectively.
** His company is implied to delve in Bio-Particle technology, and his own proposal for a project has robot icons in the colors of the Biomen.
** Like Denshi-Ki before him, his design has the serial number [=BM8424=], referring to the show's debut date (February 4, 1984).
* OneSteveLimit: Downplayed. His last name Ono sounds phonetically like the infamous Minoru Ohno, however his is spelt with the kanji for "small" ('''小'''野) instead of Minoru's which uses the kanji for "big" ('''大'''野).

!!Hyakujuu-Ki

----
* MythologyGag:
** His cloud motif is one to the FloatingContinent of Animarium.
** He can use the ''Animal Heart'' attack, just like [=GaoKing=].
* RuleOfThree: This is Tsuyoshi's third stint as a Hitotsu-Ki.

!!Dengeki-Ki

\
A soldier-themed [[Series/DengekiSentaiChangeman Blitzkrieg-type]] Hitotsu-Ki, and the second form evolved from scorned paramour Tamaki, to fulfil her desire for more attention.
----
* MythologyGag: The fact that the same person evolves into both the ''JAKQ Dengekitai'' and ''Dengeki Sentai Changeman'' Hitotsu-Ki is this. Under the normal Hitotsu-Ki naming scheme, both seasons' Hitotsu-Ki should be named Dengeki-Ki, with Ja-Ki being named as such to avoid that.

!!Sekai-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Ryota Togi
->Skin: Battle Dancer (Hitotsu-ki), Battle Dancer J (Hitotsu-king)
\
A [[Series/BattleFeverJ Japanese flag-themed]] World-type Hitotsu-Ki evolved from Tamaki's boyfriend Shinnosuke, to fulfil his desire for her to return to normal.
----
* MythologyGag:
** He's the boyfriend of the former Ja-Ki, a nod to how Ja-Ki and Sekai-Ki are the only Hitotsu-Ki to break the normal Hitotsu-Ki naming scheme.
** His outfit includes two copies of the [[BroughtToYouByTheLetterS letter J]] on the front shoulder regions.
* OddNameOut: One of two Hitotsu-Ki to break the standard naming scheme, as ''Battle Fever J'' is the only season that cannot follow it.

!!Ohsama-Ki
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Takashi Sakakibara

->Skin: King's Crown
\
A regalia/insect-themed [[Series/OhsamaSentaiKingOhger Monarch-type]] Hitotsu-ki, and the fourth form evolved from ninja/wizard/explorer wannabe Minoru Ohno, based on a forced desire to defeat his rival Taro Momoi.
----
* EarlyBirdCameo: In a sense. His Hitotsu-Ki form is based on the succeeding Sentai rather than one of Donbrothers' many predecessors.
* GoldfishPoopGang: Ohsama-Ki comes back for both of Donbrothers' crossovers with their immediate [[Film/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersVSZenkaiger predecessors]] and [[Film/OhsamaSentaiKingohgerVSDonbrothers successors.]]
* MesACrowd: Can create up to four clones of himself.
* MythologyGag: An inversion, being an allusion to a succeeding Sentai rather than a preceding one; he, along with his clones, correspond to the main five King-Ohgers' colors.
* PunnyName: The "Oh" in Minoru's surname (written as 大) is homonymous to the Japanese word for king (王).
* PuppetKing: {{Defied|Trope}}. While the Overseers had created him in an attempt to beat the Donbrothers, he chooses to defy their orders and go off to do his own thing, forcing the former to ask for the Donbrothers' help.
* ReincarnateInAnotherWorld: Much like the Donbrothers, [[spoiler: [[Film/OhsamaSentaiKingohgerVSDonbrothers Minoru ends up in Tikyu and becomes Ohsama-Ki again]]]].
* RequisiteRoyalRegalia: His main motif, complete with his armor being shaped like a crown and him wielding a [[StaffOfAuthority scepter]].
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: For the most part, Hitotsu-Ki are born on their own from the desires of humanity. Ohsama-Ki is one of the few forced transformations with the Overseers intending on him to destroy the Donbrothers. However, he defies them and goes to do his own thing.

-->''Fight, Murasame!''
\
A mysterious entity who awakens and controls Don Murasame for her own ends.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: She appears to have an unknown degree of {{synchronization}} with Don Murasame, as she also expresses pain whenever the latter is injured.
* EvilMatriarch: Don Murasame's "Mother" is no friend to the heroes, sending Murasame to attack them repeatedly. She's also goads Murasame into embracing violent instincts, which tends to result in him rampaging as Onitajin Murasame.
* EvilVersusEvil: Mother's control of Murasame already pits her against against the Nōto by circumstance, which results in brief clashes between Murasame and the generals after his initial awakening. Mother also encourages him to target the Juto, [[spoiler: being a LivingWeapon designed specifically to kill them]].
* MissionControl: Advises Don Murasame as TheVoice in his head.
* MoralityChain: Exploited. [[spoiler: The Murasame of Naoki Shiina's timeline lacks a "Mother," which gives him pause when he's able to hear her from his double's mind]]. The original uses the distraction she causes to deliver a final blow.
* OhCrap: She's absolutely aghast when [[spoiler:Murasame pledges allegiance to Tsubasa at the end of #40 for saving him from the Sayama Juto]], reinforcing that they're supposed to be enemies. She's ignored.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: After Murasame [[spoiler: bonds with the twin Jiros' over what it means "to live]]," Mother realizes she was being too dismissive of Murasame's concerns and agrees to listen to him more going forward.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Her awakening Murasame defies the Nōto and their Council, who [[spoiler: sought to keep their LivingWeapon contained]].
* SplitPersonality: [[spoiler:Murasame's conversation with Jiro in #29 implies that she is one to him, much like how Dangerous Jiro is one to Jiro.]]

-->''Yes, Mother.''
\
A mysterious purple warrior who was [[PeopleJars kept in stasis]] in the Nōto base until "Mother" awakened him to serve her. His true form is the Ninjarksword, a shark-themed [[LivingWeapon living ninja sword]] that becomes his weapon in Avatar Warrior form.
----
* EleventhHourRanger: [[spoiler:He joins the Donbrothers in the final episode after spending a majority of the endgame as Tsubasa's weapon, even getting his own roll-call.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: Discussed. Sonoza reveals in #48 that [[spoiler: he sealed the Ninjarksword's power using pages from Haruka's ''First Love Hero"]] in the hopes that the ninja would read and learn from them. [[spoiler:This would end up causing him to join the Donbrothers in the final episode.]]
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Both [[Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger Stacy/Stacaesar]] and Murasame are evil counterparts to the main heroes, with their Ranger forms and weapons being purple ripoffs from the hero's form and gear. They also overwhelm the heroes on their debut. However, Stacy was already up and about from the beginning of his show while Don Murasame was in stasis from the first episode of his series. Stacy is a separate being who uses a gun while Don Murasame ''is'' a sword who can also wield it in his Ranger form. Stacy is also defined by his rivalries with Kaito and Zocks whereas Murasame has no (known) connections to Taro and his relationship with the twin Jiros is primarily positive despite their affiliations.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: He starts to show shades of this in #21 when he questions the purpose of his existence, so much so that even Dangerous Jiro was able to feel sorrow emanating from him. However "Mother" just tells him to ignore these thoughts and do what she wants of him. In #29, the question bugs him so much that he [[spoiler: actively disregards Mother's orders and fraternizes with the two Jiros to find an answer to it]].
* DemotedToExtra: He gets only one scene in the ''Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger'' movie, [[spoiler: where it's revealed that he now works at Café Donbura]].
* TheDreaded: Both the Nōto and their Council are fearful of Don Murasame's arrival, given [[spoiler: he wasn't meant to be awakened yet]].
* EvilKnockoff: He's a purple, evil-looking doppelganger of Don Momotaro. [[spoiler:Subverted in the final episode.]]
* EvilVersusEvil: Don Murasame clashes with the Nōto as well as the Donbrothers. His Mother also shows interest in protecting the Anoni from the Juto too. [[spoiler:Until in the final episode where he joins the Donbrothers.]]
* EvilWeapon: Anyone other than Murasame ([[spoiler:and seemingly Taro]]) that grips the Ninjark sword is reduced to a feral BloodKnight until disarmed.
* {{Expy}}: A swordsman fused to his own blade whose "body" can [[{{Intangibility}} change its mass to phase through walls and floors]]? Sounds a lot like [[Series/KamenRiderSaber Kamen Rider Saikou]]. His blade's ability to [[spoiler:possess unauthorized wielders]] also brings [[Series/KishiryuSentaiRyusoulger Gaisoulg's evil armor to mind]].
* GratuitousEnglish: The "Kiri-Sute Sorry!" of his transformation is a half-translation of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiri-sute_gomen Kiri-Sute Gomen]] ("sanction to cut down and walk away"), a right afforded to samurai when insulted by those of lower class.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:He joins the Donbrothers in the final episode and rebels against the council.]]
* HighlyVisibleNinja: The wielder of the Ninjark Sword is a very bright, grape-flavored hue.
* IOweYouMyLife: He pledges himself to [[spoiler:Tsubasa]] at the end of #40 in gratitude for saving him from nearly being taken by the Juto while ignoring Mother's orders.
* InformedFlaw: The opening to #39 mentions Murasame having bouts of madness, yet the only insanity ever shown is from other people that grip the Ninjark Sword. [[Recap/AvataroSentaiDonbrothersEp40DangerousLoveWagon The following episode]] is the only time Murasame shows any form of battle tendency, and it's depicted as [[DrunkOntheDarkSide a power-high]] rather than anything mental.
* InstrumentalWeapon: Because of his ReverseGrip way of wielding the Ninjarksword, when he spins its central gear with his other hand to activate his abilities the motion is akin to strumming a guitar.
* LivingWeapon: Twofold. His "body" is merely a construct that extends from the Ninjark Sword. He's also [[spoiler: an artificial weapon created by the Council that had been kept in stasis until Mother awakened him for unknown purposes]].
* MeaningfulName:
** "Murasame" is the name of a sword with water-related powers from ''Literature/NansouSatomiHakkenden''. Each of the novel's eight protagonists was born from their mother's magic prayer beads as an [[EmbodimentOfVirtue embodiment]] of a different Confucian virtue, with Murasame's wielder Shino embodying "duty to one's parents".
** Murasame is also a {{portmanteau}} of ''Murasaki'' ("Purple") and ''Same'' ("Shark").
** "Ninjark" is a {{portmanteau}} of "ninja" and "shark".
* OddFriendship: Is beginning to develop one with the two Jiros, who [[spoiler: bond with him in #29 over their shared seeking of purpose]].
* OutOfFocus: His presence is greatly reduced in the series' later half, [[spoiler:even in the episodes where one would think he'd play a major role -- namely, the Forest of Slumbers subplot. He eventually comes back in the final episode.]]
* PaletteSwap: The Ninjarksword is basically Don Momotaro's Zanglassword colored purple and with a different blade.
* PurpleIsPowerful: In line with [[ThePsychoRangers Evil Rangers]] of recent [[Series/KishiryuSentaiRyusoulger seasons]] [[Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger past]], Murasame is purple-hued, made its debut making short work of all the Donbrothers, and not one of the good guys [[spoiler:until the final episode.]]
* PutOnABus: Once he pleges his allegience to [[spoiler:Tsubasa]], he disappears for the endgame, serving only as a new weapon for them to use.
* TheQuietOne: He tends to not speak outside of his responses to Mother, grunts, and announcing attacks.
* ReverseGrip: He wields the Ninjarksword this way.
* SerratedBladeOfPain: As the Ninjarksword, his blade has a jagged edge in contrast to the Zanglassword's smooth edge.
* ShockAndAwe: Don Murasame can recharge himself through the city's power lines, causing [[BigBlackout sporadic blackouts]].
* SympatheticSentientWeapon: Murasame is a weapon created by the Nōto to counter the Juto. He's also mentally a child and isn't actively malicious; DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife and only opposing the heroes by circumstance. The generals treat him like they would a tool and [[MyBelovedSmother Mother isn't the most understanding about his concerns]]... though she has realized this.
* ThreateningShark: He's themed on a shark, and is an antagonist to the Donbrothers. [[spoiler:At least, until the final episode.]]
* TransformingMecha: Like Don Doragoku Alter, he's capable of transforming between a humanoid form and a shark-like animal mode in his Alter Mode.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: Downplayed. Don Murasame is [[spoiler:a LivingWeapon created by the Nōto Council]]. While Mother has seized control of him for her own dubious ends, Murasame generally finds himself working with the Nōto regardless. [[spoiler:It's played straight in the final episode, where he turns on Sonoya and [[HeelFaceTurn joins the heroes.]]]]
* TykeBomb: A [[spoiler: LivingWeapon created by the Nōto Council in a bid to defeat the Jūto]], who acts like a child.
* VillainBeatingArtifact: [[spoiler: Being a LivingWeapon, the Ninjark Sword is revealed to be one of the few things that can destroy a Juto]].
* VillainTakesAnInterest: Much like how the Nōto generals take notice of specific Donbrothers, Murasame finds the twin Jiros' SplitPersonality arrangement curious and [[spoiler: opens a dialog with them against Mother's wishes]].
* VocalDissonance: His voice is high-pitched and flat, greatly contrasting with his menacing appearance. Justified, since he was activated earlier than the Nōto Council had planned and is for all intents and purposes a child.
* WrongContextMagic: He is able to change into his Alter Mode, Avatar Change into past warriors, and become Black Onitaijin Murasame, all without the use of Avataro Gears. Specifically for the 2nd ability, he transforms into those under the category of "Rival Warriors"[[note]]ThePsychoRangers and warriors who notably stood against the main team as TheRival for extended periods, such as ''[[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Abare Killer]]'' and ''[[Series/KikaiSentaiZenkaiger Stacaesar]]''.[[/note]], and also has access to Sentai teams whose Avataro Gears have not yet been retrieved by the Donbrothers themselves. [[spoiler: And unlike the Donbrothers who, even with better skill, can't harm Juto, Murasame can kill them just fine.]]

[[folder:Don Killer and Don Killer Killer]]
!!!'''Don Killer portrayed by:''' Kouhei Higuchi\
'''Don Killer Killer portrayed by:''' Yuuki Beppu
Don Killer is the ultimate culmination of the Don Clan's technology -- an invincible android made as a failsafe to eliminate the Donbrothers should they deviate from their mission and go out of control.
\
\
Don Killer ''Killer'', however, is another similarly-constructed android, this time as a failsafe for ''Don Killer himself'' should he be deployed by accident or go out of control.
----
* TheDreaded: Don Killer is undeniably the most terrifying threat in the entire series, thanks to it's sheer strength and ruthlessness.
* EatingMachine: Don Killer is shown to be able to consume food like parfaits.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Don Killer blocks Taro's sword with his fingers.
* FailsafeFailure: The Don Clan created the Don Killer series of robots to cull a team of rogue Donbrothers, as well as a secondary to cull a rogue Killer. However, no emergency shutdown was ever devised for either of the robots - Both were only activated by ContrivedCoincidence. If Jiro hadn't stumbled onto Killer Killer's remote or if [[AIIsACrapshoot the two robots' differing objectives]] [[LoopholeAbuse hadn't forced conflict]], [[TotalPartyKill everyone present would've died]].
* FearfulSymmetry: Their attacks are so evenly matched that the two leaving Earth to continue their ForeverWar is arguably the best outcome for everyone involved.
* GodzillaThreshold: Don Killer is such a threat to the Donbrothers that even Sonoi attempted to lead the Nōto generals in eliminating him, despite the potential trouble with the Council it would cause for them. However, [[ContrivedCoincidence a coincidental mustard contamination]] causes Don Killer to fail to recognise them as allies from ''Ideon'', resulting in him easily curb-stomping them out of pure self-defence as they instantly declare a retreat.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Don Killer was created by the Don Clan as a failsafe in case the Donbrothers deviate from their mission. Unfortunately, Don Killer is activated on accident but tries to carry out its mission regardless. It proves to be too powerful for the team to handle and almost destroys them, only being stopped by being locked into a ForeverWar with Don Killer Killer. They did seem aware of this being a possibility, so they made Don Killer Killer to act as a failsafe.
* IdenticalStranger: Don Killer resembles Taro, while Don Killer Killer resembles Shinichi. While it's understandable that Don Killer would look like Don Momotaro, there's far less of a reason why Don Killer Killer would resemble an otherwise normal human who just so happened to become a Donbrother.
* ImplacableMan: Or Implacable Android, in this case. The Donbrothers' attacks do nothing against Don Killer.
* KnightOfCerebus: Don Killer's activation is an event so shocking that Taro tells his team to make peace with their incoming doom.
* NearVillainVictory: The Don Killer is entirely adaptive, incommunicable and above all invincible. Even ''Taro'' is scared of the thing and by the end of its own episode, has the primary team cornered with no out in sight. Jiro randomly stumbling onto the Killer Killer's activation device in Terasaki's house is the only thing that prevents the show from ending right there.
* NonIndicativeName: Despite Don Killer's name and the fact it has more than enough power to kill the Donbrothers, it oddly enough didn't kill Tsubasa, Shinichi nor Tsuyoshi when it cornered them and instead crippled them through MetronomicManMashing.
* OutsideContextProblem: Don Killer's abilities are more along the likes of something you'd see from a Hollywood film than a Tokusatsu show and the Donbrothers are basically helpless against it as a result. It even causes legitimately serious injuries like broken bones as opposed to what a typical Monster of the Week can dish out.
* SealedEvilInACan: Don Killer was sealed away, with its activation button guarded by Kaito. When the Donbrothers inadvertently activate it, it results in tragedy for everyone involved.
* SealedEvilInADuel: In the end neither the Donbrothers nor the Nōto were capable of shutting Don Killer down with the only thing capable of matching it being Don Killer ''Killer'', who continues to fight against Don Killer in space most likely for eternity.
* TerminatorImpersonator: Don Killer is basically a Terminator programmed to kill the Donbrothers if they go rogue. Don Killer Killer is a ''second'' one programmed to kill Don Killer if it went rogue.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Subverted. Kaito attempts to neutralize Don Killer by tampering with its parfait with mustard, but all it does is make it attack the Nōto instead, and it ends up being a temporary inconvenience as the mustard is flushed out of Don Killer's system anyway.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Don Clan]]
A race of HumanAliens who once co-existed with the Nōto in Ideon, and the originators of the Donbrothers' powers. They were wiped to extinction by the Nōto twenty-one years ago due to performing dangerous experiments in an attempt to seek peaceful co-existence with humans, in particular for the act of creating the Jūto.
----
* TheAtoner: Attempted. [[spoiler: Terasaki's final moments]] reveal that the Don Clan were scrambling to appoint guardians to keep the Juto at-bay. The Noto's bloodlust ruined that before it could start.
* BigGood: The Don Clan wanted to peacefully co-exist with humanity instead of keep away from it; even going as far as to create the Juto in an attempt to stop mooching off of Humanity's collective desire. [[NiceJobBreakingItHero They instead ended up creating ravenous body-duplicating monsters]], which is all the excuse the Noto needed to destroy them.
* CivilWar: The casualties of one. The Noto massacred the Don Clan due to [[ToBeLawfulOrGood a mixture of ideological differences]] and the inherent threat posed by the newly-created Juto creatures.
* CrazyPrepared: They created the Donbrothers' arsenal to help Taro, which is coded to disarm and find a new user if it's used for selfish reasons. If the whole team somehow goes rogue, the [[spoiler: Don Killer]] could be activated to deal with them. And [[spoiler: the Don Killer Killer]] could be activated to deal with ''it.''
* CreateYourOwnVillain: The Don Clan attempted to create ArtificialHuman[=s=] to replace their desire-based food source. They made monsters instead.
* ExceptionallyTolerant: What separated the Don Clan from the Noto was their intent to co-exist with humanity. The Juto project was designed to counteract Ideon's reliance on human desire using [[ArtificialHuman knockoffs]] as substitutes. [[NiceJobBreakingItHero They made unstable monsters instead]], inspiring the Noto to act on already-brewing tensions and depose the Clan outright.
* TheGhost: Aside from a [[spoiler:[[DwindlingParty dwindling number]]]] of {{sole survivor}}s that are revealed over the course of the story, the original Don Clan were never shown onscreen.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The Don Clan's attempts to [[spoiler: create ArtificialHumans to leech desire from]] [[GoneHorriblyWrong horribly backfired]]; creating a species of hostile appearance-snatching cryptids. They attempted to seal the creatures away in penance, but [[KnightTemplar the Noto weren't satisfied]] and (seemingly) massacred them to the man...[[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom practically ensuring that the Juto would be a threat in the future]].
* ReedRichardsIsUseless: They were allegedly smart enough to create an infinite energy source, but said technology was solely used on [[spoiler: a failsafe KillerRobot against the Donbrothers, and a secondary one for the first]]; resulting in two immortal paperweights that are [[SealedEvilInADuel infinitely stuck fighting each other]].
* RulingFamilyMassacre: They were the previous rulers of Ideon until the Noto rebelled and slaughtered them all.

!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Takahiro Yoneoka (motion capture)
The personal robot of Don Murasame.
----
* {{BFS}}: Don Onitaijin's Kiji Swords are replaced by the serrated Sawshark swords, which Murasame can control telepathically.
* EvilKnockoff: Of Don Onitaijin, complete with [[RottenRoboticReplacement silent and non-expressive]] Robotaro knockoffs as its various parts.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Onitaijin Murasame and its knockoff Robotaro components have sharp red visors in contrast to the heroes' black.
