Tropes shared by all the girls.
----
* ActionGirl: A group of fairies who fight evil using their unique magical powers.
* AdaptationalModesty: In the first four seasons, all the girls eventually got at least one outfit -- be it a fairy form or their regular clothes -- that showed off their navel. Oftentimes more then one. Seasons 5-7 and 8, which both [[SoftReboot retooled]] the show to appeal to younger audiences, removed them (for the most part).
* AerithAndBob: Some of the girls' names (Stella, Flora, Aisha/Layla, Roxy) are typical and modern, while the other three (Bloom, Musa, Tecna) have names that are more unusual and unique.
* AlphabeticalThemeNaming: Bloom and Roxy’s names don’t rhyme with their friends' names: Flor'''a''', Stell'''a''', Mus'''a''', Tecn'''a''', Layl'''a'''/Aish'''a'''.
* AmazonBrigade: A group of fairies who face evil witches, wizards, and monsters on a daily basis, and beat them all up spectacularly.
* BadassAdorable: All of them are cute girls who are superpowerful, and kick major ass.
* BeautyBrainsAndBrawn: Of the three popular Winx, Stella is the Beauty (a vain and fashionable princess), Flora is the Brains (calm, mature, and BookSmart), and Bloom is the Brawn (the main heroine with fire powers of divine nature).
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: All the girls are quite the gorgeous beauties, and they fight for the good of Magix.
* BlondeBrunetteRedhead: Again, the most popular three: Stella (blonde), Flora (Brunette) & Bloom (Redhead)
* ByThePowerOfGreyskull: "Magic Winx! [insert fairy form here]!"
* CallingYourAttacks: They usually say the names of their spells as they use them.
* ColorCodedCharacters: Each girl has a theme color when in their fairy forms: Bloom (blue), Stella (orange), Flora (pink), Musa (red), Tecna (purple), Aisha (turquoise/teal), Roxy (green).
* CombatStilettos: Most of their their fairy forms come with these, the Enchantix form being a notable exception (see below).
* ComicBookFantasyCasting: According to Iginio Straffi, their appearances were inspired by Music/BritneySpears for Bloom, Creator/CameronDiaz for Stella, Music/JenniferLopez for Flora, Creator/LucyLiu for Musa, Music/{{Beyonce}} for Aisha, and Music/{{Pink}} for Tecna.
* ElementalPowers: All the winx have this as their power set.
** Bloom has [[PlayingWithFIre fire and heat]].
** Stella has [[LightEmUp light]], derived from the [[PowerOfTheSun Sun]], {{Lunacy}}, and [[StarPower stars]].
** Flora has [[GreenThumb vegetation]] and [[DishingOutDirt earth]]. She also has a dash of [[BlowYouAway wind]].
** Musa has [[MakeSomeNoise sound/music]] and [[BlowYouAway air]].
** Tecna has [[ShockAndAwe electricity]]
** Aisha has [[MakingASplash water]] and with the nature of her morphix magic, she also has [[GooItUp slime]].
* EverythingsBetterWithSparkles: Their clothes and wings in fairy form are coated with masses of sparkles.
* FaceHeelTurn: Each of the girls sans Flora have experienced this at least once, most of them due to being BrainwashedAndCrazy.
** Bloom was corrupted into Dark Bloom by Lord Darkar.
** Stella was turned into an evil queen by Selina's MagicMirror.
** Musa was turned into a monster by Tritannus.
** Tecna's phone was cursed by Darcy, turning her into a robot.
** Aisha briefly sided with Nebula to avenge Nabu's death.
** Roxy was possessed by a very vengeful Nebula through the White Circle.
* FairySexy: They're all fairies, and they all look good. And naturally they dress in a casual, yet also pretty sensual manner.
* FiveTokenBand: Bloom is white, Stella is light-skinned (but based on the mixed white/Cuban Creator/CameronDiaz), Flora is Latina, Musa is Asian, Aisha is Black, and Tecna is the unconventional beauty. In the 4Kids version, Tecna is British. Roxy is also Irish.
* {{Flight}}: In their fairy forms, they gain wings which allow them to fly.
* TheFriendsWhoNeverHang: Aisha and Tecna don't get as many opporturnities to interact with one another as the others. [[AvertedTrope However]] this isn't the case for World of Winx and Season 8, where they gain a VitriolicBestBuds dynamic to make up for it.
* GenericCuteness: All of them are good looking, as is most of Alfea.
* GratuitousPrincess: Bloom, Stella, Aisha, and Roxy are princesses. The other girls are complicated...
** Tecna was originally the princess of Zenith in the comics but this was later retconned and is never confirmed to be one on the show. Interestingly, the 4kids dub explicitly said she wasn't one.
** Musa is not a princess, but 4Kids called her one, so when her not being a princess became important her dad was stated to be a former prince. Made even more confusing when the actual princess of her planet is introduced in the third season.
** Flora is actually said to be the princess of Linphea in ''Magical Adventure'' but it's unclear how canon this is. Similar to Tecna, Flora is implied to be a princess in the comics (Bloom often refers to her friends as princesses and she doesn't have the money problems Bloom and Musa have), but this is somewhat unclear.
* HeroicSacrifice: Each of them had to experience this in Season 3 to earn their Enchantix. Bloom was the only exception as she earned hers through sheer willpower, rendering it incomplete, but she completes it in the first movie by undergoing a sacrifice of her own.
* ImpossibleHourglassFigure: In order to get their hips in real life, you need to be missing some ribs.
* LongHairIsFeminine: Bloom, Stella, and Flora have long hair and are quite feminine.
* MagicalGirlWarrior: They are part of an ''academy'' of these. They get several sets of transformation sequences of course.
%%* MagicIdolSinger: Is basically this.
* MeaningfulName:
** Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna have names that reflect their power sources.
** Aisha and Layla are both Arabic names. Aisha means "full of life, lively woman", which describes her personality, while Layla means "dark beauty", which describes her appearance.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: Charmix, which was a brief upgrade to the first fairy form.
* MinidressOfPower: Some of their fairy forms are ''very'' powerful -- and have ''very'' short skirts. Later seasons give these forms ModestyShorts.
* MsFanservice: All 6 of them tend to wear extremely revealing outfits in the earlier seasons.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: Of the three main Winx, Flora is nice (the sweet FriendToAllLivingThings), Stella is mean (the selfish AttentionWhore), and Bloom is in-between (fairly nice but occasionally impulsive and stubborn).
* NotAllowedToGrowUp: A strange example in that they were allowed to grow up, but season five seemed to retcon this and from that point on, the girls are perpetually stuck in their late teen years. Also, see StatusQuoIsGod below.
* OnlyOneFemaleMold: They all have the exact same hourglass figure.
* OnlyOneName: None of them have a last name.
* OnlySixFaces: Their CGI appearances in Seasons 5 and 6 and their Season 8 designs have virtually the same face molds.
* PaletteSwap: Starting with their Harmonix forms in Season 5, their fairy outfits tend to be the same design, but with different colors and patterns.
* PowerDyesYourHair:
** In Enchantix form, their hair either changes its hue or gains streaks.
** In Sirenix form, their hair changes color when underwater.
** Also happens to a lesser extent in Tynix form.
* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: Their hair tends to increase in length in some of their fairy forms.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: {{Downplayed}} as they are rather well-adjusted to society at large, but still quirky in their own ways. Stella is a spoiled but kind crown princess who blew up the potions lab while experimenting with magic and loves fashion. Musa comes from a poor background, lost her mother, and is a snarky, musician tomboy. Tecna is an overly logical girl who struggles to understand feelings and has robotics as her hobby. Flora is a ShrinkingViolet who has more plants than friends and loves science. Layla is a sports-loving princess with too strict parents and abandonment issues. Bloom is the princess of an extinct realm who didn't know about that, has been obsessed with fairies all of her life, and has anger issues. Roxy is the most "normal" despite sharing a similar background as Bloom but is a misfit among a group of seasoned fairies that use magic to fight and create new shades of pink, turning her into the TagalongKid.
* SailorSenshiSendUp: The Winx is heavily derivative of the Sailor Senshi in its seven girl line-up:
** Bloom/Usagi: Long-lost princesses with InnocentBlueEyes from a magical world sent to Earth by relative who sacrificed their life to save them. Both girls also have the strongest powers but were also the most inexperienced with their powers and battles until they TookALevelInBadass. Bloom also has a sort of ForbiddenRomance with a prince from another kingdom much like Usagi had in her past life with Prince Endymion. Possibly {{lampshaded}} in the fifth season where her bonded Selkie is named "Serena."
** Stella/Minako: Blonde GenkiGirl princess in orange costume with light-based powers who become the protagonist's BestFriend. Furthering the reference, they are even the first magical girls introduced in the series.
** Tecna/Ami: Princess with technology powers with short hair of an unnatural color. Tecna also had trouble with her feelings for Timmy, much like Ami being AllergicToLove.
** Flora/Makoto: Both are the TeamMom, have brown hair and green eyes, have a strong connection to plants and nature, and even a pink and green aesthetic. WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx even makes her a chef out of nowhere.
** Musa/Rei: Dead mother, bad relationship with father. The sardonic one with a flair for red and purple. Both girls also [[LongHairIsFeminine long, flowing]] (Musa initially had short GirlishPigtails but later [[ExpositoryHairstyleChange grew her hair out in season 3]]), [[RavenHairIvorySkin raven-colored hair and pale skin]], with the eyes matching the blue/purple shine of their hair. The '90s anime also famously made Rei a singer.
** Aisha could be a combination of all the Outer Senshi: being an independent and sporty TomboyPrincess like Haruka, having [[MakingASplash water-based powers]] and green, turquoise and blue ColorMotifs and like Michiru, being the one with the darkest skin and initially having a lonely life prior to meeting the other girls like Setsuna, and being the SixthRanger like Hotaru. She also initially isolated herself from the group in their earlier interactions, much like the Outer Senshi (particularly Haruka and Michiru) being [[IneffectualLoner Ineffectual Loners]].
** Roxy/Chibiusa: The pink-haired TagalongKid who turns out to be the princess of Earth and reunites with her long-lost mother. She's even close to the main character.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: Flora, Musa, and Tecna don't appear until the second episode, "Welcome to Magix!" Aisha doesn't appear until the season 2 opener, and Roxy doesn't appear until season 4.
* SecretIdentity: Averted in the actual series, but in the spinoff ''World of Winx'', they have to keep their fairy lives hidden from people on Earth so they don't disturb the world's status quo.
* SeriesGoal: To protect Alfea and to defeat the ArcVillain of each season. To do so, they must earn a new transformation for each one.
* SoLastSeason: Every season the Club's old fairy transformations are replaced with a new one -- sometimes ''more'' than one. The reasons for this vary, from needing to match the ArcVillain's power to losing their old powers, to needing to access a new magical realm, to needing one that works better in a specific environment.
* StatusQuoIsGod: Despite graduating in the first movie, and successfully creating a home and business on Earth, season five makes the group students again with zero explanation, and it's evident the girls will never be allowed to move on from Alfea.
* {{Stripperific}}:
** Some of the girls' outfits fall under this, especially the Enchantix costumes. Oddly, season four's Believix costumes cover more, but some of the girl's casual clothes are quite risque. And then, in the second half of the same season, the Sophix transformation gives them more revealing outfits once again. Just look at [[http://images2.fanpop.com/image/photos/13100000/Winx-Sophix-the-winx-club-13123429-512-384.jpg Flora]]. Her top looks like a couple of leaves sewn together, ''and'' it's backless! And the only thing holding down Aisha's [[MagicSkirt miniskirt]] is magic. Averted with Musa, whose Sophix covers more than any of their other outfits (interestingly, despite her Enchantix being the most revealing).
** Most noticeable with Tecna, since she started with a bodysuit that covered everything, and her costumes have gotten skimpier ever since. They have also gotten less technological looking, which is odd since her element is supposed to be technology. The Sophix even has flowers on it! This might be a hint towards the fact that she has gotten in touch with her emotions and depends far less on technology as time progresses.
** Stella's first "everyday" outfit (Season One and at least half of Season Two) was worse. Her skirt was just barely long enough to cover her crotch, and her shirt looked like a bikini top with a collar, albeit one that had torn and needed to be tied together to keep her breasts from showing (since there was really no way she was hiding a bra underneath it). And this was something she wore at some point in almost every episode too. It's a miracle that outfit, even by Italian standards, didn't get the show cancelled then and there. An even bigger wonder is that 4Kids ''did not digitally censor it.'' Apparently, the artists eventually realized this because every main outfit for Stella afterwards up until season six was a mini-dress. Now, in season six, her main outfit is a skirt, seemingly only to fit in with the "school uniform" style.
** Later seasons tone this down, as the characters wear more modest clothing.
* TransformationNameAnnouncement: Since the Atlas dub, the girls announce their names and titles when they transform.
** "Bloom, Fairy of the Dragon Flame!"
** "Stella, Fairy of the Shining Sun!"
** "Flora, Fairy of Nature!"
** "Musa, Fairy of Music!"
** "Tecna, Fairy of Technology!"
** "Aisha, Fairy of Waves!"
** "Roxy, Fairy of Animals!"
* TownGirls: [[DeadpanSnarker Musa]], [[TomboyPrincess Aisha]] and [[OutdoorsyGal Roxy]] are Butch, [[PinkMeansFeminine Flora]] and [[TheFashionista Stella]] are Femme and [[NaiveEverygirl Bloom]] and [[TheSpock Tecna]] are Neither.
* WeakBossStrongUnderlings: As they earn more powerful transformations each season, they become the strong underlings for Faragonda's weak boss. Faragonda, a RetiredBadass in her own right, is the elderly Headmistress of the fairy school the Winx attend and the one who assigns them missions. It's unclear the exact point when their dynamic shifts but given that Faragonda is unable to call on her fairy transformations, it's probably fairly early on.
* WingedHumanoid: In their fairy forms, big, glittery, insect-like wings sprout from their backs. The wings grow larger in size and get more decorations with each transformation. In their base form, the wings were just translucent, albeit each girl had their wings uniquely shaped. The Enchantix makes them resemble butterfly wings. At some points, the wings stop resembling insect wings and look entirely fantastical -- sharp edges or just so much jewels and glitter.

->Voiced by: Creator/LetiziaCiampa (Italian), Creator/MollyQuinn (Atlas Oceanic), Haven Paschall (Season 7, English dub of ''World of Winx''), Emily Cramer (Season 8 onwards), Helena Evangeliou and Angela Galluppo (Cinélume), Creator/CindyRobinson (Dubbing Brothers), Liza Jacqueline (4Kids)

The protagonist of the series. Bloom is the Fairy of the Dragon's Flame, from the planet of Domino, but was sent to Earth as a baby while her home was under attack, and was adopted by Mike and Vanessa. She begins the series as a new student attending the Alfea College for Fairies. After saving Stella from an ogre attack on Earth, Stella realized that Bloom had magical powers and took her to Alfea in the realm of Magix.

For the first few seasons, Bloom is essentially the newbie fairy, learning to use her powers. Bloom also wishes to know where she's from. While she has nice adoptive parents on Earth, she soon discovers that she wasn't born there, and is the last remaining survivor of the planet Domino. It is that moment she makes it her mission to learn the truth behind her home and family and find her missing birth parents.
----
* TenMinuteRetirement: When she leaves Magix upon learning Sky switched his identity with Brandon and is engaged with Diaspro. She returns when the Trix follow her home and steal the Dragon Flame and Stella comes to help.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Early seasons implied Bloom was this in Gardenia, though later seasons seemed to have retconned this (she has an ex-boyfriend; she was also apparently friends with Selina).
* AsideGlance: When Bloom first enters the vicinity of Alfea, she turns and smiles at the camera.
* AudienceSurrogate: Especially in season 1, as a NaiveNewcomer from Earth who starts attending Alfea, and we see the school for fairies through her eyes.
* AuraVision: In the first season, Bloom discovers that, when she's on Earth, she can see people's auras. This power was shown again in an episode of season two, but it seems that the writers forgot that she had this power in season four...
* BlueIsHeroic: A variation. Most of her fairy forms are primarily light blue. However, Bloom has fire-powers, so red is also her color. This contrasts with her ElementalRivalry with Icy, one of her most persistent enemies, who has ice-powers and wears a dark blue outfit.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: When Darkar captures her and infuses her with Dark Energy. As Dark Bloom she becomes heartless, abusive, unwilling, mean, selfish, manipulative, mischievous, cruel, and uncaring. She largely acts as TheDragon to Darkar in this state. Sky manages to bring her back with ThePowerOfLove.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: In ''World of Winx'', when Bloom is taken into custody and interrogated by two detectives who suspect her and her friends for being involved with Anna's kidnapping. Bloom freezes the scene and addresses the camera, sarcastically commenting that she COULD tell them the truth that magical beings kidnapped Anna and that she and the Winx are actually fairies, but that would be a stupid thing to do since it would blow their cover.
* BroughtDownToBadass: Temporarily. Even though she lost her powers in episodes 19-24, she's still tough.
* ChangelingFantasy: Her Earth parents are quickly revealed to be foster parents. Her biological parents are from another planet.
* TheChosenOne: Being the current keeper of the primal magic that gave rise to the entire universe, she is consequently both the main target and the most dangerous enemy of most of the enemies of the first four seasons and two films.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Is this towards Sky. In season 2 during the Pixie rescue mission, Bloom was annoyed when Aisha hugs Sky after he freed her from webbing on a wall. Then she tried to one-up on Aisha during the sand dune sliding scene and fails miserably.
* CoolBigSis:
** Is this to Roxy, who quickly bonds with her due to their shared backgrounds and experiences. Roxy very much looks up to and considers Bloom her big sister, despite the two not being biologically related.
** In ''The Island Of Dragons'', she becomes this to [[LoyalAnimalCompanion Buddy]], [[spoiler: her LiteralSplitPersonality manifested as a {{Tulpa}} by ''her own'' CoolBigSis Daphne.]]
* CrucifiedHeroShot: Icy freezes Bloom in this position after the latter saves Mike and Vanessa from being sucked into oblivion.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: As Dark Bloom under Darkar's control. The colors of her outfit, her wings, tiara and accessory becomes a lot more dark, sharp and aggressive.
* EyeColorChange:
** In later seasons, her eyes turn amber when using her strongest fire powers.
** When corrupted into Dark Bloom, her eyes turn yellow with cat eye pupils.
* FallenPrincess: She was born a Princess but had to live as a normal Earth girl when her family's kingdom fell.
* FieryRedhead: Literally! Red hair and Dragon Flame!
* ForgotAboutHisPowers: [[spoiler: Apparently, Bloom forgot she had healing powers in S4 episode 24. Sure, it might not have worked under those circumstances, but she could at least have tried to save Nabu.]]
* FromHeroToMentor: Bloom begins as a naive girl who needs to learn a lot of magic and where she came from and becomes a heroic warrior and leader over time. In season 4 Bloom develops into a mentor for Roxy, another fairy raised on Earth who unexpectedly learns that she has magic. Because Bloom has been in Roxy's shoes before, she's well-suited to help her adjust to being a fairy.
* GeneHunting: Bloom's goal in the early seasons is to find her birth parents and learn what happened to them.
* GenocideSurvivor: The Ancestral Witches destroyed her home planet when she was a baby and her older sister Daphne sent her to Earth.
* GlowingEyes: Bloom's Dragon Flame powers manifest this way.
* HappilyAdopted: She loves her adopted parents very much, even after she starts to concentrate on finding her birth parents.
* HarmlessFreezing: Has been frozen solid or imprisoned in ice in a few occasions but always escapes unharmed.
* HealingHands: Gains these in season 2, and it's vital when [[spoiler: several of her friends are wounded by her BrainwashedAndCrazy self (including Riven, who almost dies), and the first thing she does when she returns to the side of good is healing them all.]]
* HotForTeacher: In season 2, Bloom developed a crush on the new Alfea teacher Professor Avalon [[spoiler: (who was actually fake Avalon at the time)]].
* JerkassBall: Although at a lesser extent than Stella, Bloom can be a bit of a brat or act rather self-centered at times. This is fairly evident in S4-S6 where Bloom is essentially the one driving the plot with the most egregious examples being her very one sided/unnecessary rivalries with later season antagonists AND having a fairy form named/powered by her.
* LastOfHerKind: She's the last surviving person of the planet Domino after it was destroyed by the Ancestral Witches. After it's restoration in ''[[TheMovie The Secret of the Lost Kingdom]]'', this no longer applies.
* TheLeader: Of the Winx Club.
* MacGuffinSuperPerson: She has the mythical Dragon Flame power and the Trix's target in Season 1 is steal this power. They managed to "steal" the Dragon Flame until Bloom, with Daphne's help, realized that she had never lost her powers, but was unable to use them because of her doubts, and therefore regained her powers and defeated the Trix.
* MeaningfulName: While her name has no reference to her power source, it could mean she's a "late bloomer" and forgot about her powers since her adoption. She eventually came to realize them and search for her birth family, which shows she's literally "blooming" into her true self.
* TheMentor: Becomes this to Roxy in season 4. "Roxy, you're doing great! I'm so proud of you!" She's ideal for this role because she was in Roxy's shoes during Season 1, though her situation was slightly different.
* ModestRoyalty: She's far more comfortable being a regular girl than being a princess. Justified, as she was raised as a regular girl and didn't even ''know'' she was a princess until later.
* MuggleFosterParents: Bloom was discovered on Earth in a burning building by a human firefighter named Mike, who later adopted and raised her along with his wife Vanessa. She proceeded to have a loving albeit uneventful childhood, unaware of her abilities or true origins, until a chance encounter with Stella triggered a CallToAdventure and set the events of the series in motion.
* NaiveNewcomer: In season 1 she was a relatable NaiveEverygirl who was insecure about her new powers.
* NiceGirl: Not close to Flora's kindness as she's not above being bratty and selfish but she's still very kind, caring, selfless and brave for her friends, families, and allies. She's willing to help everyone along her way, even evil people, who she is quick to forgive.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Bloom sees herself as this in season 6 when she allowed Selina to come into the hidden greenhouse, unaware of her friend's alignment as a witch. She became deeply traumatized when she [[spoiler: realized that she almost killed Flora with a poison given to her by Selina]].
* OddNameOut: Out of the original five girls, Bloom's is the only name that isn't based on her power source and doesn't end with an "a."
* OfficialCouple: With Sky. They start dating early in season 1, though Bloom is reluctant to admit her feelings at first. The two almost break up when Sky's true identity and engagement to Diaspro is revealed, but they patch their relationship back together. They continue to have trouble with Sky being jealous of Avalon and Andy while Bloom is concerned about Sky and Diaspro's past, but they stick together and Sky eventually proposes to her, which she accepts.
* OfficialCoupleOrdealSyndrome: Happens at least once or twice every season. So far she and Sky have been through breakups, jealousy, fake identities, brainwashing, jealous and homicidal exes, amnesia angst, and other minor fights and disagreements in-between the big ones.
* PlayingWithFire: Bloom has fire-based powers that can manifest in the form of fire dragons, fireballs, fire beams, firestorms, and explosions of varying intensities. Due to the nature of the show, no one is ever harmed by the flames or even burned from the flames unless she is using it against ice based attacks or objects. Although this played more straight in the comics and books, even accidently scorching a mermaid's tail.
** ElementalAbsorption: She can absorb fire.
* PowersInTheFirstEpisode: Unaware of her fairy identity since being adopted, she finally unleashes her powers while trying to save Stella from Knut.
* PrincessProtagonist: She is the main heroine of the entire franchise and much of her narrative path is precisely to discover that she is the last heir of a legendary royal family presumably extinct more than a decade ago.
* PsychicPowers: In addition to her fire-based and healing powers, Bloom also has limited psychic abilities such as the aforementioned AuraVision (which indirectly gives her abilities similar to an TheEmpath) as well as a telepathic bond with her older sister Daphne (the former keeper of the Dragon Flame)
* RagsToRoyalty: The Sleeping Beauty type. She was forced into hiding at birth and forgot about her true heritage while growing up (not like, as a one-year-old baby she could remember much anyway). She came to realize by the end of the first season.
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: Bloom is revealed to be the princess of Domino at the late stages of season one.
* RookieRedRanger: When the group was formed, she had almost no experience at using magic and/or fighting witches and monsters, unlike the other four, and was more liability than a help. She got better as the season went by.
* SeriesGoal: From Seasons 1-3: To find her birth parents. She finishes her quest in the first movie.
* ShutUpHannibal: Does this to Valtor in the season 3 finale.
* StandardizedLeader: She can be described as an ordinary PluckyGirl heroine who serves as AudienceSurrogate, while all her friends have their own personality quirks and different hobbies.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Gains these when Darkar turns her into Dark Bloom.
* TrueBlueFemininity: Many of her fairy forms are primarily blue. This also applies to most of her civilian outfits with the notable exception being her season 6 outfit, which is mainly pink.

[[caption-width-right:319:[[labelnote:Click to see Stella in Season 8]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_6329.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]
->Voiced by: Creator/PerlaLiberatori (Italian), Amy Gross (Atlas Oceanic), Jessica Pacquet (Season 7 onwards, English dub of ''World of Winx''), Jennifer Seguin (Cinélume), Becca Ordonez-Zagorin (Dubbing Brothers, Movie 3), Caren Manuel and Lisa Adams (4Kids)

Stella is the Fairy of the Shining Sun, and the princess of Solaria, a place she speaks highly of. She is considered a delinquent at Alfea for her antics, which is why she's a year older than her class. Because she's so self-conscious about her physical appearance, Stella may come off as being vain, but still cares deeply about her friends. Her powers come from the sun, moon, and stars.
----
* ActionFashionista: She has a very large wardrobe selection, though it's not typically worn in battle.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Despite being a pale blonde, Stella seems to be coded as a white Spaniard. Not only does her Season 1 outfits (and her pink Season 3 princess dress) and concept art invoke Spanish influence, WordOfGod confirms she was inspired by Cameron Diaz, who is Hispanic. Then there's her seemingly Mesoamerican princess outfit from Season 1.
* AttentionWhore: She absolutely loves the limelight and craves praise. In season 5, she fakes an emergency call to get her boyfriend to rush for the sake of seeing her makeshift fashion show, and she doesn't understand when Brandon and her friends get ticked off with her for it.
* BetaCouple: With Brandon. They start dating early in season 1 when she's under the impression that he's Prince Sky. When his true identity is revealed, she's initially angry, but they make up and Stella doesn't mind him not being a prince. (She was more angry about being deceived.) From then on they hold a fairly steady relationship, even when other ladies like Amentia and Mitzi throw themselves at Brandon.
* BerserkButton: Expect a minor tantrum if you mess up her hair or clothes or interrupt her when she's getting dolled up.
* BigEater: By far, Stella has the healthiest appetite of the Winx.
* BookDumb: She's an idiot in school, hates studying, and tends to have the lowest grades (and was HeldBackInSchool at least once), but she's perfectly knowledgeable on plenty of things when not in school.
* BrokenBird: Stella hides it well, but she's been secretly hurting about her parents' divorce. She had made it one of her goals in life to bring them back together again.
* ButtMonkey: Due to being the most flawed of the main characters and the PluckyComicRelief at the same time, she's often the butt of the jokes in her group of friends.
* ClingyJealousGirl: In Season 4 Mitzi gets a crush on Brandon and is determined to make him hers. This infuriates Stella and causes her to constantly question Brandon's loyalty since Mitzi constantly follows him around. Is a straighter example in the comics.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Not a moron by any means, but she can sometimes make those around her wonder what goes on in that head of hers. But if any of her friends or loved ones end up in danger, she'll be the first ready to spring into action and she ''will'' kick someone's ass.
** The first time Bloom was forcibly turned into [[BrainwashedAndCrazy Dark Bloom]], [[NoSell she easily shrugged off the best shots of Flora, Musa, and Aisha]]. Then, Stella attacked... And ''that'' hurt, even with a ''near miss''. Stella's comments a moment later implied she missed willingly because a bullseye could have ''disintegrated'' Dark Bloom. And it was before any power-up.
** A number of episodes highlight this trope for Stella, such as ''Shimmer in the Shadows'' of season six, where Stella's ditziness ''[[TooDumbtoFool protects]]'' her and enables her to be the one to rescue her friends.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her blonde hair matches her hazel-gold eyes.
* CuteButCacophonic: The cute appearance is always there, but in the Nickelodeon English dub, she has a squeaky, high-pitched voice.
* CuteClumsyGirl: Stella is the comic relief character and she’s taken quite a number of spills. Some examples include: Tripping over the stage cables, falling off the stage, falling down the stairs, and falling off her bedsheets.
* DeadpanSnarker: She was especially sassy in the 4KIDS dub.
* DramaQueen: There are times when Stella gets overly upset at the most trivial of things.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: In season 4, Stella drives an RV quite recklessly, almost getting into accidents several times. The other girls immediately demand for her to relinquish the wheel to Aisha.
* DumbBlonde: Although not particulary stupid, Stella shows to be really thick at times, and it is mentioned several times that she always gets the lower grades at school. It's implied that this is more due to her [[BrilliantButLazy not taking her schoolwork seriously]] rather than that she doesn't know it.
* TheFashionista: She has a large selection of clothes, and she often designs various new clothes for herself and her friends. By season 5, she's decided that she wants to become a fashion designer.
* {{Flanderization}}: While Stella was always a bit vain, in the earlier seasons, she usually learned her lesson and did mature a little as time went on. Season 5 seems to have not only erased that maturity, but upped her childishness to eleven, with her throwing actual tantrums over not getting her way. Also, see AttentionWhore above.
* FountainOfYouth: In "The Gem of Empathy", she is turned into a 3-year old when she gets her hands on a pin with an age changer spell in it. Surprisingly, she's ''not'' a BrattyHalfPint. She's hyper, which is to be expected of any small child, but she's not particularly ill-behaved. Her friends' inability to keep up with her is more due to them not having experience with babysitting than her giving them a hard time.
* FreudianExcuse: As a little child, she had to wear braces and was ridiculed by other kids. That drove her into her current obsession over physical appearance. In an episode of the first season, she said her parents didn't pay much attention to her unless she brought home a bad report card. That might explain why she's such an AttentionWhore at times.
* TheGlomp: Usually to Brandon when she is happy.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She's got long blond hair, and she's very sweet and nice most of the time, though she can occasionally be a brat.
* InconsistentColoring: Stella's eye color constantly changes depending on the animation; most of the time they are brilliant gold, other times they are pale yellow (ie. ''World of Winx''), and most recently as of the ArtEvolution and in merchandise, they are dark brown.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Stella is vain, and often selfish and egocentric. Clothes and beauty are of utmost importance to her, and she gets upset when someone ruins her clothes, or hair, or physical appearance in any way, and she became Brandon's girlfriend because she thought he was a prince. However, Stella is also a very kindhearted person and makes no effort to hide that. She has risked her life many times when her friends, family or boyfriend were in trouble, and remained faithful to Brandon after finding out that he wasn't a prince at all - she was more pissed off about him lying to her than not being of RoyalBlood.
* TheLancer: For a Lancer, she and Bloom maintain a very supportive and friendly relationship with no rivalry. Stella is still Bloom's {{foil}} in several regards. She's the hammy DramaQueen to Bloom's down-to-Earth attitude. Stella can come across as an insensitive jerk sometimes while Bloom is very empathetic. Stella's backstory is that of an initially socially awkward, now popular princess with a broken family. Meanwhile, Bloom's backstory is that of an ordinary, unpopular girl with a loving family that later learns she's a princess. Furthermore, Stella is the crown princess of her planet while Bloom is not.
* LightEmUp: Provides the page image. Her powers come from the sun (mostly) and her attacks consist of casting beams of light. She can also concentrate her energy to make herself glow brightly in dark places. Stella can create streaks of solar energy and is able to create explosions of sunlight that can leave the opponent [[BlindedByTheLight temporarily blind]]. She can shape sunlight into barriers and shields, which is extremely useful. She can conjure light in any area, no matter how dark.
** {{Lunacy}}: Although overshadowed by her more glaring spells based on the sun and stars, Stella is also known as the moon fairy and her magic on this satellite appears to manifest itself metaphorically in the form of MagicMirror (after all it is said that the moon can not help but reflect the light of the sun as it has no light of its own)and GemstoneAssault spells.
** ThePowerOfTheSun: Due to Stella being from Solaria, she is majorly affected by the Sun. She gains her energy from the sun and is heavily weakened when in very dark places or underground.
** StarPower: Like her name sake, she also draws her energy from stars even creating miniature starlights in the Season 4 premier.
* LogicalWeakness: Although she can conjure light in an extremely dark areas, she needs exposure to a source of light. Underground areas such as Downland and the caves of Lord Darkar's fortress leave her both magically weak and physically ill. She even sleeps with a lamp on in her dark room in "Faraway Reflections"
* LovableAlphaBitch: A rich, spoiled, popular girl who tends to be self-centered and a ProudBeauty, but ultimately a good-natured person who cares about her friends. Even in her worst moods she never belittles others for not being royalty.
* MissingMom: Her mother in the first four seasons. She's only seen once during a dream, despite a whole divorce/remarriage plot in Season 3. She finally appeared in Season 5 as a recurring character.
* MsFanservice: Downplayed due to the all-ages nature of the franchise, but present in the early seasons where she wears many skimpy outfits and is very flirty. Plus, in a BeachEpisode of Season 2 she wears a lifeguard red costume for no reason other than {{Fanservice}}.
* ProudBeauty: She loves to show off on how pretty she is and takes every chance to be on the limelight.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: The bubbly Energetic Girl to Brandon's calm and collected Savvy Guy.
* SkewedPriorities: Stella is sometimes far more concerned with shopping and fashion over saving the world; she opted to go shopping first before going on their actual mission.
* SpoiledSweet: While she has her SpoiledBrat moments, Stella ultimately loves her friends and boyfriend to pieces, has a generous heart, and thinks nothing of making any sacrifice for them.
* StellarName: Also a MeaningfulName: Stella means Star, and Stella's power comes from stars mainly the sun.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Has gold eyes which represents she's a stellar fairy. In her doll forms and Season 8, her eye color changes to brown.
* UnclePennybags: For all her flaws, Stella can prove to be exceedingly generous with no ulterior motive and this is shown early on. The third episode of the series has her eager to take Bloom on a shopping spree for a dress for the school dance after Bloom mentioned she didn't have one (Bloom didn't ask Stella to do this or imply the request). Stella was also about to pay for the dress Bloom chose until Flora told Stella not to, reasoning she may make Bloom feel bad about buying something so expensive for someone who is still new to them and vice versa. For an example not about money, look no further than ''the first episode'', where Stella eagerly and almost immediately encourages Bloom to attend Alfea with her. Again, no motive beyond generosity toward her new friend.
* UptownGirl: To Brandon. She is the princess of Solaria while Brandon is a squire. Brandon fell into the trope during the royal part where Princess Stella was to be introduced into society. He was afraid his gift to her had no chance against the ones she'd get from nobles, but in reality she was angrier for him lying to her than his lower origins.
* VibrantOrange: Stella's ColorMotif is orange. She is bubbly, outgoing, isn't afraid to speak her mind, loves being the center of attention, and often serves the role of PluckyComicRelief.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse:
** Stella's powers comes from the sun and the moon. However, she only used moon-based powers ''twice'' during the whole series. This becomes so egregious that the Nickelodeon episodes cut out ANY relation between her and the moon; she announces herself as "Stella, Fairy of the Shining Sun."
** Stella initially has the Ring of Solaria which conveniently transforms into a magical scepter when needed. This ring allows her to focus on her energy or teleport people. After the sixth episode, in which she takes the ring back from the Trix, who stole it in the previous episode, the ring has only made a handful of appearances since and has no longer been seen to be used by her after she gained her Enchantix.

Flora is the Fairy of Nature. Her powers come from plants and nature in general. She ails from the planet Linphea. Flora is very kind, gentle, sweet, and mature. She is able to keep her head on her shoulders in a crisis, and is not one to panic. She is known as the goody two-shoes of the group, a position she likes having.
----
%%* AllLovingHeroine
* AloneAmongTheCouples: In season 1 she's the only one of the girls who doesn't get a LoveInterest. Her boyfriend Helia is introduced in season 2.
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Is extremely embarrassed at her parents' antics when introducing them to her friends in season 7.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Flora can be mistaken for either a light skinned Black or a very tanned Caucasian, but the creator confirms she was based on Jennifer Lopez, so she is meant to be Latina.
* BadassAdorable: She's cute and is vulnerable to panicking a lot, but she's just as effective at fighting as the rest of the Winx are.
* BetaCouple: With Helia. Flora gets a crush on him when they first meet, but takes awhile to reveal her feelings to him. Once she works up the courage to confess to him at the end of season 2, they immediately start dating and seem to have little to no problems in their relationship.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's kind of shy and the gentlest of the Winx, but push her too far and she will prove just how hard nature is.
* BigSisterInstinct: Flora became ''pissed'' when Miele is hit by a spell from the Trix and ''immediately'' gives them a well-deserved magic attack. Also, the reason she gained her Enchantrix in the first place was because she was willing to give up her life to save her little sister's.
* BlowYouAway: She has shown developed abilities of generate blast/streams of wind.
* BookSmart: While she's not very vocal about it, her friends occasionally remind her that she's one of the best students.
* BrainyBrunette: It's mentioned she's a pretty good student.
* ButtMonkey: While officially the second most powerful of the group, Flora could actually be argued to be one of the weaker fairies, as she usually gets injured/knocked out the most.
* CannotSpitItOut: Has trouble building up the confidence to confess her feelings to Helia until the end of season 2.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Not that she'll even act upon it, but it's there. She's notably uncomfortable when Crystal gets a bit too close to Helia.
* CloserToEarth: Flora is the most mature member of the Winx as she possesses a deep sense of love, peace, happiness, and tranquility. She gives out good advice to others and avoids violence as the first answer.
* CoolBigSis: She has a younger sister, Miele, who adores her.
* CuteClumsyGirl: {{Downplayed}}. Flora could be clumsy, but she just gets knocked out the most out of all the Winx Club fairies.
* DamselInDistress: She tends to be the fairy most often injured, knocked out, and/or captured by the MonsterOfTheWeek.
* FlowerMotifs: Comes with being a nature fairy. She appears as a rose with majority of fairy forms and outfits being soft pink and fuchsia instead of the usual red. Appropriately a pink rose actually symbolizes sweetness, femineity, appreciation, and admiration. Dwelling more into the soft paler shade also highlight grace, gentleness, and joy. How appropriate for a soft, gentle, and nurturing person such as Flora. Interestingly her thorny side as recently become more displayed most notably while fighting Snow Queen Icy.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: While she's closer to plants, she has a connection with animals as well and treats them all well.
* GreenMeansNatural: Flora, who has a GreenThumb, tends to have green accents in her outfits.
* GreenThumb: Flora, as the Fairy of Nature, can talk to plants, bring them to life, help them grow, and nurture them when they are sick. She controls plants and many of her attacks involve wrapping her opponents with vines.
* TheHeart: She's the conscience of the team and is usually the one to stop the others from doing something bad.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: The first episode of season five shows that she is insecure about her abilities as a fairy.
* {{Hypocrite}}: In what's arguably an OutOfCharacter moment, an episode of season 7 has her forbidding Miele to join the group on a mission and saying "a fairy needs to know her place" because of a battle Miele struggled with early in season 6. The problem here is Flora has been knocked down and out a number of times herself, and that very thing had happened to her just four episodes ago. When Miele tags along anyway, Flora scolds her for being "hasty and reckless", once again ignoring she's guilty of the same thing as recently as late season 6. Implying even more how it's out of character is the reaction of the other Winx. They look shocked Flora is talking like that to her sister.
* InformedAttribute: Per WordOfGod, she's the 2nd most powerful of the group, second only to Bloom. That being said, the fact the she's the most likely fairy to be injured, knocked out, and/or captured makes her appear to instead be one of the weakest of the group.
* MartialPacifist: Since Flora dislikes aggression, she usually uses her powers in battle for defense and constriction. For example, she would trap an enemy in vines while another member of the Winx Club would destroy the enemy.
* NatureEqualsPlants: Flora carries the title "Fairy of Nature" and uses plant-based magic. This is distinguished from Bloom's fire magic, Stella's solar and lunar magic, Aisha's water magic, and Stormy's weather magic. Played with as the series continues she displays earth-based and wind based magic.
* NiceGirl: Probably the nicest one of the group.
* PetalPower: Normally she prefers the use of vine whips to wrap around her opponents and immobilize them. Even so, she has been shown using beams and attacks made of petals (or whole flowers), particularly in the later seasons and the movies.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Most of her fairy forms are primarily pink.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: She makes her debut along with Tecna and Musa in the second episode.
* SexyCatPerson: In the fourth season, her Love and Pet uniform is a FanserviceWithASmile sexy cat costume.
* SexySilhouette: In season 2 an episode has, in shadow, Flora showering. In the censored version, 4Kids flattens her chest.
* {{Shipper on Deck}}: She ships all the couples Bloom/Sky, Stella/Brandon, Tecna/Timmy, Aisha/Nabu and even Musa/Riven.
* ShrinkingViolet: While not that reserved, she was very shy when she had a crush on Helia and was reluctant to confess her feelings.
* SupremeChef: WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx reveals that she's a very talented cook.
* TakenForGranite: She was once turned into a statue by a mutated jellyfish which was turned by Tritannus.
* TeamMom: Whenever the Winx are fighting amongst themselves, she does her best to stop the fighting.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: {{Downplayed}}. She’s never actually died, but she’s come close to it a couple times. She also tends to get knocked out the most out of all the girls.
* TokenMinority: She's reportedly Latina. [[WordOfGod An interview with the creator]] of the series confirms that she's based upon Music/JenniferLopez.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Downplayed, but in season 7, she's noticeably snarkier and has an unexplained short temper with Helia and Amarok. Also, the aforementioned {{Hypocrite}} example, where she talks down to her sister instead of tactfully expressing her worry, nor does she acknowledge Miele genuinely saved the group's lives when she came along anyway. Thankfully, this seemed to end by the latter half of the season.
* TranquilFury: In season 6, Flora became enraged when Icy kidnapped Helia and froze him over, then in the rematch, she single-handedly [[CurbstompBattle curbstomped]] the witch after borrowing power from the nature around her.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Messing with Helia will result in a TranquilFury mode Flora who will ''own'' you.
* WillfullyWeak: Implied. As mentioned above, she's supposedly the second-most powerful member of the group, but often comes off as the weakest. However, season 6 shows us she can unleash huge power if she wants to and she is capable of dishing out a CurbStompBattle [[spoiler:on ''Icy'']]. That knowledge plus her MartialPacifist style of fighting suggests Flora ''chooses'' to hold herself back most of the time, presumably because of her dislike of fighting in general.

Musa is the Fairy of Music, and hails from Melody. She puts up a tough front in front of others, but deep down, she tends to be the most sensitive of the Winx girls, and gets emotional the most easily. Part of that may be due to her sad family life. Musa's mother died, and her father is often away doing tours, not having much time for his daughter, leaving Musa feeling lonely.
----
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: She has a crush on Riven despite his really bad attitude. When they get together he softens up a little bit.
* AloneAmongTheCouples: After season 6 and her break-up with Riven, she's the only one of the group without a boyfriend. By season 8, they're together again.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Riven. She's crushing on him early in season 1, but he doesn't reciprocate and instead dates Darcy. During season 2 they start to get closer, especially at the Red Fountain Concert and in the Wildlands. Riven eventually gains feelings for Musa, and they start dating at the end of season 2, and [[spoiler: Riven is seriously injured by Lord Darkar ''specifically'' because he went TakingTheBullet for her.]] They break up in season 4 when Riven thought Musa was getting too close to Jason Queen, his jealousy causing many arguments. Riven regrets breaking up and manages to win her back over. However, their relationship remained unstable, and they broke up in season 6 -- and then got back together ''[[RelationshipRevolvingDoor again]]'' in season 8.
* BetaCouple: With Riven, though on-and-off.
* BettyAndVeronica: She is the Betty of Riven's Archie and opposed to Darcy's Veronica in season 1.
* TheBigGirl: Her sound based powers are very destructive and hard hitting.
* BookSmart: A flyaway comment by one of the girls in Season 1 mentions that Musa gets very good grades, just like Flora (Tecna is not mentioned in that scene, despite her being TheSmartGirl of the group).
* BoyishShortHair: She is an actual tomboy and also has short hair to start with but wears it [[GirlinessUpgrade long for good later on.]]
* ButtMonkey: In the first two seasons of the show, excluding [[TheChosenOne Bloom]], Musa was the Winx most targeted by each of the Trix, each for different reasons; Icy once set her against all the witches of Cloudtower [[DisproportionateRetribution to punish her]] [[TheDogBitesBack for rightly slapping her in the face]]. She and Darcy were respectively the ArchEnemy of each other for much of season 1 [[BettyAndVeronica thanks of their ties to Riven]]. And in the season 2, she especially antagonizes Stormy after catching her spying on Alfea and humiliating her in combat.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her bluish eyes match her bluish hair.
* DeadpanSnarker: She's very snide at times, especially towards Stella.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Although not considered one of the strongest fairies among the Winx, Musa still has the merit of being the only one among them to have defeated at least one Trix (Stormy) in season 2 (for two consecutive episodes), [[MagicEnhancement who at the time was hugely power-up by Darkar's Gloomix, allowing her to easily perform a CurbStompBattle ''even on Bloom'']].
* EarnYourHappyEnding: After many seasons of conflict, season 8 leaves Musa and Riven on a good note, claiming that they have finally found peace and harmony. Solidified with a song called ''Finally Together''.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: Her hair is ''much'' longer from the third season on.
* GirlinessUpgrade: Back in season one, she was known as a tomboy that barely wore skirts. Even in the welcoming ball, she wore an outfit that had pants. She was basically designed to look a little street-smart with her overly large jeans and sneakers. Once season three started, she immediately got longer hair, but kept the pigtails. Then season four came along and Musa arrived on Earth where she let her hair down and started wearing heels and a skirt for her normal outfit. Musa became girlier by asking questions about her hair and she became another point of drama for the series again when Musa gains the opportunity to become famous.
* GirlishPigtails: Inverted. She has short pigtails in seasons 1-2, and it grew starting in season 3 as part of her tomboyish look. She was still seen wearing them in two season 4 episodes, The Fairy Hunters and The Tree of Life, and after her GirlinessUpgrade, she hardly wears them anymore. The last time we see pigtails on her outfit is season 6's Mythix.
* GirlsLikeMusicians: Falls for Orlando, a medieval musician, in season 7.
* ImportantHaircut: Inverted in season 3, where she gets an important hair ''GROWTH''.
* InstrumentOfMurder: Flute, diapason, various band instruments, among others are used as weapons in combat.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: With Riven at the end of season 6. She lets Riven go so he can become a "hero to himself".
* MagicalFlutist: Owns a flute and uses it in combat in seasons 1, 2, and 6.
* MagicEnhancement: In Season 6, her powers over sounds and music have grown to the point that only her singing can bestow powerful magical abilities on musical instruments. So much so that the Trix, when they learn about it, ask Selina to use the Legendarium to take away this new ability.
* MagicMusic: As the fairy of music, her spells often involve music a lot. Her attacks are based on music and sound. She usually uses attacks that are disco themed and can create disco-ball force-fields, distracting musical blasts, and virtual speakers which enclose around an enemy and immobilize them through incredibly loud bass music. Musa can also create walls and barriers of the musical scale and explosive musical notes.
** MakeSomeNoise: Musa's powers are connected not just with music but the actual power of sound waves and sonic pressure. She can manipulate other elements by creating sonic booms which cause rumbling and things to crash. She can also create sonic vibes and pulses which charge through the air like energy blasts.
** SuperHearing: Musa naturally has enhanced hearing, but instead of experiencing SensoryOverload she can get overwhelmed by too many noises if focusing one a specific target. In the spin off, she deploys the usual gesture of a cuff hand to the ear, but also PstandardPsychicPstance.
* MissingMom: Her mother died when Musa was young, and this is quite the friction point with her father.
* RedIsHeroic: Most of her fairy forms are primarily hot pink or red.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: She makes her debut along with Flora and Tecna in the second episode.
* PsychicPowers: As confirmed by WordOfGod, she is somewhat considered a telepathic fairy.
** {{Telepathy}}: She can communicate with other inhabitants of Melody by mentally releasing soundwaves and develops a mental connection with her fairy animal. This is better displayed in S7 where she telepathically communicates with her fairy animal and WOW where she is able to actively to track a person's thoughts or internal voice.
** TheEmpath: After becoming a guardian fairy, Musa states she can hear/sing the secret song in a person's heart and in a comic issue she was able to understand and explain the memories and feelings of two monsters.
* TakingTheBullet: Musa does this in Season 5 when Tritannus attempts to put a curse on Aisha, and is as a result transformed into some sort of mutant monster seal.
* TokenMinority: Despite the fact she isn't even from Earth, Musa's facial features and sometimes her clothes suggest that she's Asian. The supporting cast does feature several other Asian characters such as Jared of season 2, and WordOfGod states that she's based upon Creator/LucyLiu.
* {{Tomboy}}: In the early seasons she is the most tomboyish of the Winx Club.
* TotallyRadical: In Season 1 of 4Kids dub, Musa seemed addicted to slang. Her use of it was gradually toned down in S2.
* {{Tsundere}}: She flip flops between with being sweet with Riven and fighting with him all the time.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: The sight of Darcy multiplying around her will terrify Musa into helplessness. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] by the trauma of what happened the first time, namely Darcy [[MindRape mind-raping her]] nearly to death.

->Voiced by: Creator/DomitillaDAmico (Italian), Morgan Decker (Atlas Oceanic), Saskia Maarleveld (Season 7 onwards, English dub of ''World of Winx''), Leslie Karls and Creator/JodieResther (Cinélume), Creator/WendeeLee and Sabrina Weisz (Dubbing Brothers), Dani Schaffel and Rebecca Soler (4Kids)

Tecna is the Fairy of Technology, with powers that come from computers and technology in general. She comes from Zenith. Tecna is highly intelligent. Like any good nerd, Tecna thoroughly enjoys math and science. She spends a lot of time doing things on her computer. As intelligent as she is, though, she does not always understand non-technical things, like manual labor. Some of the simplest things, like brooms and buckets, are completely foreign to Tecna.

Tecna is not very good at expressing emotions. She looks for logic behind everything and is not good at understanding emotional-based decisions. She also does not outwardly show a lot of concern for her friends, though deep down, she truly cares for them all and would do anything to help.
----
* AccentAdaptation: In the 4Kids dub, she gained [[SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish a British accent]].
* AdaptedOut: Has been excised from the LiveActionAdaptation.
* BadassBookworm: She spends a lot of time researching her next assignment or how to complete the Winx's next goal, and she is plenty capable of handling herself on the field.
* BarrierWarrior: While all of the girls can create barriers for defense, Tecna is the one most often seen using shields to defend herself and others.
* BetaCouple: With Timmy. Both are awkward at expressing their feelings, but they fall for each other and are officially dating by season 2. Tecna breaks up with him when she thinks Timmy is an incompetent coward who doesn't understand her, but Timmy proves himself and they get back together. They hold a steady relationship afterwards, though they prefer to communicate through electronics.
* BoyishShortHair: Tecna's original hair and some styles she gets later on, though she's not that tomboyish. After Musa grew out her hair in Season 3, Tecna is now the only member of the Winx with short hair.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the fifth season, a curse placed on her phone from Darcy mixed with the magic of one of the books of the magical archive ordered during her search for the book Sirenix temporarily transforms Tecna into a robot that attempts to attack the other Winx when they try to get her back normal.
* BrokenPedestal: As quoted above, in season 2, Tecna breaks up with Timmy calling him a coward when, in an occasion, he let escape the Trix because if he had attacked them, they would overpower everyone. But they made up when Timmy came up with many plans to defeat the Trix risking also his life.
* CharacterDevelopment: Tecna has layers of this throughout the series.
** In her debut season, she has trouble expressing her emotions, and bases the majority of her decisions on pure logic. In the second and third season, she gets over that trouble and becomes more open and friendly toward her friends. This before her {{Flanderization}}.
** She is a lot more overconfident and self-reliant in the beginning, preferring to take on challenges on her own, such as accusing and attacking [[SpotTheImposter Avalon]] based on her own evidence, and clashing with Bloom during their trip to Cloudtower in season 2. She becomes more receptive to other opinions later on.
* CerebroElectro: Tecna has electrical powers stemming from her powers over technology and she's one of the most intelligent characters on the show.
* CovertPervert: She created a virtual simulation for herself where she could have some "unique" experiences with Timmy. Notable because earlier she barely understood what dating was.
* ADayInTheLimelight: The ninth episode of the second season focuses on her trying to find about Professor Avalon's secret.
* DeadpanSnarker: Sometimes.
* DisneyDeath: In the middle of season 3, she was trapped in the Omega Dimension after saving Andros from being destroyed and was thought to be dead by everyone (except Timmy). Thankfully, she managed to survive long enough to get a message out to the others, enabling the others to find and rescue her.
* DitzyGenius: Tecna may understand everything to do with technology, but knows nothing about non-technical things. She once thought a bucket was to be worn on her head and a broom could be used as a portrait feather duster.
* EmotionlessGirl: She was forced to give up her emotions for technology while in the Crystal Labyrinth. She gets them back in the end. She faces a similar dilemma in season 5, where she gets turned into a literal robot.
* {{Flanderization}}: [[SeasonalRot In seasons 5 and 6]], she's been reverted to her season 1 personality, effectively undoing ''all'' the CharacterDevelopment she's gotten over the series.
* GadgeteerGenius: She's built plenty of gadgets to assist the Winx, including an inter-dimensional transporter and a barrier buster to get through the barrier around Alfea.
* GamerChick: As the fairy of technology, she loves computers and video games.
* GirlinessUpgrade: Like Musa, she used to have a boyish look in early seasons, but as the show starts changing art style, she gets a much more soft and feminine appearance. By season 8, she even wears a bow in her hair.
* HeroicSacrifice: Although as mentioned above, all of the Winx except for Bloom do this in order to obtain the Enchantix power, Tecna stands out in particular for being the one who makes the largest and most disinterested sacrifice among all of them as she sacrifices herself to save Aisha's entire homeworld (and presumably the entire magical dimension) to permanently close the omega portal, seemingly losing her own life when the portal sucks her into its dimension. Conversely, Aisha, Stella, Musa and Flora earn their Enchantix by saving a single person they are related to.
* JackOfAllTrades: Her power over technology combined with her high ingenuity make her one of the most versatile Winx in terms of magical abilities; in addition to using her magic in combat (through the use of firewall-themed magical defensive barriers, the use of real laser beams and even the control over electricity), Tecna is capable of creating perfectly functioning communication devices and systems that working at a galactic distance. She can also isolate and make herself and others immune to all sorts of air and non-air poisoning. She is able to create technological devices in the shape of a cell phone into which to suck into enemies inside it. She also can mentally scan each person and area in order to identify specific targets (for example, an enemy's strengths and weaknesses, as well as their level of power). She is even able to create devices to open doors on Alfea's magical protection barrier (creating by ''Faragona and the rest of Alfea personal staff'') when the Winx need to sneak out after the curfew time, as well as create real ultra-dimensional portals that lead to other planets. The only power she lacks to definitively qualify as such is HealingHands (power that for now only Bloom and, to a very limited extent, Flora have).
* NerdsAreSexy: Timmy thinks she's beautiful.
* NowLetMeCarryYou: After spending seasons playing the support role to the Winx, it's their turn to support her when she gets trapped in the Omega Dimension in season 3.
* OddFriendship: Tecna and her best friend, Musa. Tecna is logical, rational and doesn't make a move without careful calculation, while Musa is more free-spirited and spontaneous.
** Her friendship with Aisha in the spinoff WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx can also be seen as this. Tecna is technologically savvy but not necessarily sports inclined, while Aisha is the complete opposite. What's more, the banter the two often engage in (often over the effectiveness of Tecna's technological devices) also gives their relationship a VitriolicBestBuds vibe.
* OutOfFocus: Of the main fairies, Tecna easily gets the least focus and development, especially in Season 4. Sometimes it feels like she's a minor character rather than one of the main ones. In addition her homeworld Zenith was the last to be shown in the show.
* PairTheSmartOnes: With Timmy.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Many of her fairy forms are predominantly various shades of purple and she is a very powerful fairy like the other Winx.
* {{Retcon}}: In season 6, Tecna's parents Cryos and Titana from the Tridimensional comics, were replaced by Magnethia and Electronio.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Played with, as she's much more [[TheSpock logical and "by the numbers"]] than most examples.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: She makes her debut along with Flora and Musa in the second episode.
* ShockAndAwe: Her powers are entirely based on technology and digital energy, but, on occasion, she has been known to control electricity.
* TheSmartGirl: As the science expert of the group, the team relies on Tecna to solve any technological issues, whether magical, supernatural or ordinary.
* TheSpock: She prefers to think before doing something rash.
* {{Technopath}}: She can directly control some technology, such as when she mentally commanded the ship in ''[[TheMovie The Secret of the Lost Kingdom]]'' and earlier, during the graduation ceremony that turns her into a Guardian Fairy, Tecna claims she is now able to mentally connect to any existing database, supercomputer and technology medium. In season 4, she proves these claims by even being able to transport herself and the other Winx into a video game.
** PstandardPsychicPstance: Often does this when gathering information or creating a mental holographic map.
* TeenGenius: Tecna is extremely smart, with an IQ of 150, and loves technology.

[[caption-width-right:319:[[labelnote:Click to see Aisha in Season 8]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_3_70.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]
->Voiced by: Creator/LauraLenghi (Italian), Music/KekePalmer (Atlas Oceanic), Alysha Desolrieux (Season 7, ''World of Winx'' Season 1), Elinor Vanderburg (Season 8 onwards, ''World of Winx'' Season 2), Lucinda Davis (Cinélume), Creator/WendeeLee, Creator/MelaLee and Michole White (Dubbing Brothers), Vasthy Mompoint (4Kids), Creator/IlonaBrokowski (German)

Aisha (called Layla in most third-party dubs) is the Fairy of Waves, and the princess of Andros. She has the ability to rearrange a substance called Morphix (sometimes referred to as plasma) into all sorts of objects and weapons.

In the original version, Aisha is extremely opinionated and open-minded. In her early appearances, she is rather distant towards romance and males. It's later discovered she was arranged to be married, which possibly contributes to her wariness of romance.

She is quite athletic and is also a linguist. Her bold personality causes her take more independent actions, so she often doesn't ask for help. She has proven to be just as skilled as the Specialists when it comes to fighting.

----
* AccentAdaptation: In the Dubbing Brothers versions of the movies, she has a Cajun Louisiana accent.
* AloneAmongTheCouples: In season 2, she's the only one of the girls without a LoveInterest. Her first boyfriend, Nabu, is introduced in season 3. [[spoiler: Happens again in season 5 when she's mourning his death.]]
* BetaCouple:
** With Nabu. He approaches her under a false name because he wants to know the girl he's betrothed to. After Nabu assists her several times, they start dating, and Nabu is forced to reveal his true identity, but she doesn't mind. They get along very well, culminating with Nabu proposing to Aisha, who eagerly says yes. [[spoiler:Unfortunately for her, he died soon after.]]
** [[spoiler: With Nex, as of season seven. He is introduced early in season six. Aisha doesn't like him at first, and [[LoveTriangle she's also being pursued by Roy at the time]]. But she and Nex grow closer throughout the season, bonding due to their similar personalities and interest in sports. They confess their feelings for each other near the end of the season, then start dating in season seven.]]
* TheBigGirl: One of the Winx's best fighters, and she gets a lot more physical with her opponents than the other girls do.
* BrokenBird: She had a lonely childhood, has trouble fitting in in season 2, and season 3 starts to turn her life (both home life and romantic life) into a TraumaCongaLine, which still goes on in the following seasons. She's especially broken in season 5, when she's [[spoiler: haunted by Nabu's death.]]
* DatingWhatDaddyHates: In one of the comics, Aisha introduces [[spoiler: Nex]] to her parents. Daddy thinks he’s too arrogant for her and also doubts that he can protect her. So he sends the boy on a dangerous quest to kill the last of a race of snake women in order to prove his love for her.
* DubNameChange: She (was) called Layla in all third-party dubs. Only the versions overseen by Iginio Straffi (Italian and Nickelodeon English) use "Aisha". Also, in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ovrEkwqkgs some countries]] where she was initially renamed Layla, there was a SuddenNameChange in later seasons that followed Nickelodeon's use of Aisha, which was a bit confusing to the viewers. Other countries (France, Germany, Netherlands, and others) remained faithful to Layla throughout the show, never using the name Aisha until ''Series/FateTheWinxSaga''.
** This also extends to her magic domain. In earlier English dubs, she is the Fairy of Fluids, but in the Nickelodeon version, she is the Fairy of Waves.
* DudeMagnet: Had three guys pursue her at one point or another. [[spoiler: (Nabu, Roy, and Nex)]]
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: She joins in with Nebula's group to kill the Wizards of the Black Circle and avenge Nabu's death]]. It didn't last long, though it was still pretty shocking.
* GirlinessUpgrade: Similarly to Musa, she was more of a sporty tomboy initially, but in later seasons she starts wearing more makeup, dresses, and girly accessories like the other girls.
* HerHeartWillGoOn: Nope, sorry. [[spoiler: Nabu doesn't come back to life at the end of Season 4. [[TheLostLenore She's still mourning him during season 5]].]]
* IconicSequelCharacter: Now she's one of the main characters, but is only introduced in season 2.
* LonelyRichKid: As a princess, she had a very isolated childhood and did not have many friends growing up.
* MakingASplash:
** Subverted. While Aisha comes from an ocean-based realm, and seems connected to water, her powers come from plasma, which appears in the show to be shiny, sticky, pink clay which she herself defines as Morphix (which she herself mentions is the rearrangement of water molecules). This is very evident in season 4 when, twice, the girls had to stop a housefire and Aisha could not use her powers to douse it, althoguh she was able to prevent it from spreading.
** Played straight in season 7 and ''WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx'', which sees her directly produce and manipulate water.
** WeatherManipulation: Usually creates tidal waves and floods, but also rain, clouds, a miniature hurricane, and one occasion a hailstorm.
* OddNameOut: Like Bloom, her name isn't based on her power source. Justified since she's the SixthRanger introduced in season 2.
* PerfectlyArrangedMarriage: Her parents arrange for her to marry Nabu, even though she's never even met him and is vehemently opposed to the marriage. When she meets Nabu under the disguise of Ophir, the two fall in love, though the parents decide to cancel the marriage anyway. [[spoiler: And then he ''dies''.]]
* ProphetEyes: She gets these as a result of Valtor making her blind.
* RebelliousPrincess: She hated the strict rules she had to follow as a princess, and avoided going back to Andros for as long as possible until Valtor attacked.
* RevengeBeforeReason: [[spoiler: After Nabu's death, she's willing to do almost anything to get revenge on the Wizards of the Black Circle, including going through a teaming up with a volatile Nebula, imprisoning Morgana, and fighting her friends.]]
* SassyBlackWoman: The only black fairy and, especially in early seasons, she's sassy, energetic, and outspoken.
* SixthRanger: She doesn't appear or join the club until season 2.
* SuddenNameChange: She had quite a few name changes.
** Looking at the season 2's leaked script and her Pixie Magic doll's prototype, Aisha was originally going to be named "Gladis" in the English dub. Then it was officially changed to Layla in most foreign dubs (including the English ones), until Nickelodeon took over and [[DitchingTheDubNames changed it back to Aisha]] in the English version, and several other dubs did the same.
** In ''Series/FateTheWinxSaga'', she was originally going to be named [[https://yinyangcouple.com/winx-fate-saga-aisha-layla-changes/ Jade]], but then they changed their minds, and went with Aisha.
* SwissArmySuperpower: Her Morphix powers are by far the most versatile all the Winx have in their magical arsenal. Aisha can literally use it to create anything based simply on her imagination. From creating a simple pillow to cushion a raven's fall, a effective magic glue to repair or seal something, a clone of herself to distract enemies, creating a net to capture her targets, a bowl for animals, a surfboard, a crane to descend a ravine etc. In combat, a lot of her spells allow Aisha to excel more acting like a WeakButSkilled by pragmatically exploiting this abilities to incapacitate enemies (while the other Winx who are offensively much more powerhouses than her like Bloom and Stella finish them off). Heck, from season 6 onwards Aisha even creates her own echanted gym in Alfea for the Specialists, who train using gym equipment, targets and even some weapons all entirely composed of her Morphix.
* SwordAndSorcerer: With Nex. [[spoiler:She calls herself and him a power couple in season eight.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: After [[spoiler: her FaceHeelTurn, she is the OnlySaneMan of Nebula's group. She makes clear in no uncertain terms that her beef is with Wizards of the Black Circle, and ''not'' humanity itself.]]
* TokenMinority: She's the only black fairy amongst the main girls, not so in the supplementary cast.
* {{Tomboy}}: Very much so, shown in series to be far more athletic than the other girls.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The Tomboy to Stella’s Girly Girl.
* TomboyPrincess: She doesn't want to be a traditional girl princess, and it's implied it's part of her rebellion against her traditionalist upbringing.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: She likes dancing, doesn’t mind wearing skirts and dresses, played with dolls when she was little, and finds the Fairy Pets adorable.
* TraumaCongaLine: Getting hurt, being often targeted by villains; Her Pixie friends are kidnapped by Lord Darkar before season 2 begins and she nearly gets personally killed by him in an attempt to save them in her debut. Then Valtor attacking her planet and also using a curse that leaves her temporarily blind. Then she is being forced into an ArrangedMarriage by her parents. Then her boyfriend dying in front of her.... One of her cousins is the BigBad of season 5 and in the final he kidnaps her to try to absorb her Sirenix power.... She easily has the most hardships out of all the main characters.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Kind of, with Stella, as they are both princesses with opposing personalities.

[[folder:Roxy]]
[[quoteright:319:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roxy_3.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/DeboraMagnaghi (Italian), Creator/LilianaMumy (Atlas Oceanic), Suzy Myers (Season 7, ''World of Winx''), Sara Camacho (Cinélume)

Roxy is the last fairy on Earth and the focus of the fourth season. She has power over animals, able to sense when they are in danger and heal them. She occasionally joins the group after season four, but does not appear in every episode like the other fairies. In season 7, she has a heightened role as the group's MissionControl.

All three of the show's production companies — [[https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/401618457004_/Winx-Club-Serie-4-Vol4-Dvd-Animazione.jpg Rainbow]], [[http://rumors.blog.rai.it/2010/07/30/le-winx-tornano-su-rai-due/ Rai]], and [[https://web.archive.org/web/20120916014510/http://www.nick.com/shows/winx-club/characters/roxy.html Nickelodeon]] — refer to her as the seventh member to join the Winx Club. As noted below, the original plan for season five featured her as a permanent and active member of the Club, but she was DemotedToExtra after the season was retooled.

----
* AdaptedOut: Doesn't appear in the in the [[Series/FateTheWinxSaga first season]] of the LiveActionAdaptation, since it's a retelling of the first three seasons.
* AloneAmongtheCouples: She's the only one of the girls without a [[LoveInterest Love Interest]] outside the Season 4 comics
* AnimalEyeSpy: In ''WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx'', Roxy can link her vision with Artu's.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: Just like Bloom, Roxy is 16 years old when she learns that she has magical powers and she is also a fairy and since at that point of the story the Winx are all graduate fairies with years of experience in the use of magic, taking her under their wing makes Roxy this by default.
* TheBeastmaster: She has the power over animals. She can feel what they feel, possessing a form of empathy towards them, and can calm them down if they're scared, hurt, or angry. ''WesternAnimation/WorldOfWinx'' also shows that she can use them to spy.
* BerserkButton: When Gantlos says Artu is "just a dog", this enrages Roxy enough to transform for the first time.
* BetaCouple: With Manuel in the season 4 comics.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome:
** In ''World of Winx'', she doesn't appear in season 2.
** In the main series itself, she makes no appearance in season 8, but does show up in its comic adaptation.
* DamselInDistress: When the Wizards of the Black Circle come after Roxy, the other fairies regularly come to her rescue since she has no powers. Even after she gains the ability to transform, she keeps needing the other Winx to save her, as she's easily overpowered (in the comics, a witch knocks her out in just one punch).
* DemotedToExtra: Though officially a member by WordOfGod, Roxy stops being a main character after season 4. Her importance varies from season to season:
** During season five she appears in only a handful of episodes. The [[https://web.archive.org/web/20170816231939/http://www.michaelsfavorites2.com/winxclub3/newspage_archive2010.html scrapped original description (search "seven")]] for season 5 indicated that all seven fairies would be active members in the season. She was likely written out while the season was heavily reworked into a total relaunch of the show, and the premiere was delayed by a year.
** Season 6 gives her a little more to do, with her subplot of restoring Griffin to her true form.
** She plays a bigger part in season 7. She initially fights alongside the other Winx until her time stone is stolen, causing her to become the group's MissionControl.
** She doesn't appear at all in season 8, only featuring in the ComicBookAdaptation.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: As befitting the Fairy of Animals. She cares a great deal for animals, loving them, and keeping them as pets to the point of making her own secret shelter for them in the back of her father's bar.
* FriendToBugs: She can even identify spiders by their scientific names.
* HairTriggerTemper: A mild version. She is rather hot-headed, but she usually apologizes afterwards.
* InconsistentColoring: Roxy's eyes are usually violet, but in the early development of season four, they were planned to be yellowish. Several scenes of "The White Circle" have her eyes change from violet to the original yellow, due to [[OffModel animation errors]].
* IneffectualLoner: She's not effective on her own due to her inexperience, but she does well with the Winx.
* LetsGetDangerous: "No more running!" She summons an army of birds and insects which drive the wizards away.
* MissionControl: Roxy takes this role in season 7 after her time stone is stolen, contacting the Winx about any trouble involving the Fairy Animals.
* MoralityPet: To [[FallenHero Morgana]], surprisingly. [[spoiler:Despite her quest of vengeance against mankind, she won't hurt her and it's her pleading that caused her to drop her vendetta]]. It's less surprising when [[spoiler:it turns out she is her mother]].
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:She freed the Earth fairies from their exile... and now they're free to take their revenge on mankind!]]
* OtherworldlyTechnicolourHair: This trope is used to indicate that Roxy is the last Earth fairy the Winx are seeking in the fourth season. Her bright pink with yellow tips hair stands out like a sore thumb any time she's in a human crowd --humans all have brown, black, or blonde hair.
* OutdoorsyGal: She loves to spend time outside with animals and was a horseback rider in her youth.
* OutOfFocus: After season 4. While still [[WordOfGod officially]] a member of the Winx, she becomes more of a supporting character and how much importance she ''does'' have tends to vary from season to season.
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: She finds out near the end of the fourth season her mother is Queen Morgana of the Earth fairies, making her a princess.
* RefusalOfTheCall: She initially doesn't want to be a fairy or have anything to do with magic. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] since she was forced into it by both the villains ''and'' the Winx, despite the latter having good intentions. Her first interaction with the Winx is them ''entering her hideaway without permission''.
* SeeingThroughAnothersEyes: She gets the ability to see through Artu's in ''World of Winx''.
* SelectiveObliviousness: She can be very stubborn, demonstrated in her reluctance to believe that fairies exist, even when the evidence was literally staring her in the face.
* SeriesGoal: From Season 4: To discover her own powers and believe in herself. She finishes this quest by the season finale.
* SixthRanger: She was billed as the seventh member of the Winx -- although you'd never know that from her [[DemotedToExtra scant appearances...]]
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: She has the power to speak to animals through telepathy and can even call on them for help. She can also grant them the ability to speak like humans, though it doesn't last long.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: In Season 4, she gets more focus than everyone else, including Bloom. However, she's DemotedToExtra afterwards.
* {{Tomboy}}: She's called one in her [[https://winx.fandom.com/wiki/Discover_Pets_with_Roxy tie-in book]]. It makes sense since she loves spiders, rats, and other animals that any girly girl would find gross. According to her dad, she thinks "the uglier and dirtier they are, the better!"
* TookALevelInBadass: At first, she needed a lot of rescuing, but after getting the hang of her powers, she got better.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:To Morgana and especially Nebula, who needed her to break out of their imprisonment to get their revenge.]]
* WeakButSkilled: Although she has only recently learned to transform into fairy, she lacks experience in direct combat (as well as further transformations, including a full Believix which excludes her from obtaining the special wings upgrades and the Sophix and Lovix sub-transformations, because hers is incomplete) and the Winx, throught the end of season 4, just taught her the basics of magic, Roxy still manages to keep up with them during the various fights.
